Bonny Anne Cooner, 33, was last seen on January 28 at the home she shared with her boyfriend Brent and 12-year-old son Gavin in the Franklin County town of Canon. On Wednesday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation joined the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in the hunt for Cooner as it emerged that a woman claiming to be Brent's niece had alleged her uncle was behind the disappearance just days after she went missing. Foul play suspected in Georgia mom's disappearance Published February 10, 2013 Associated Press TLANTA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says it suspects foul play in the disappearance of a 33-year-old woman from northeast Georgia. The Athens Banner-Herald reports Bonny Anne Cooner was last seen by her boyfriend and her son on Jan. 28 at their Franklin County home northeast of Athens. She is deceased. The police suspect foul play. I do not have any more information, but will post it as I have it. BREAKING NEWS: MISSING CANON WOMAN FOUND DEAD – BOYFRIEND ARRESTED February 10, 2013 By MJ Kneiser The body of 33-year old Bonny Anne Cooner has been found and her boyfriend, Brent Shubert is behind bars, charged with her murder. Sunday morning, Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas said Cooner’s body was discovered in an undisclosed location in Franklin County. A short time later, investigators arrested her live-in boyfriend. “We recovered the body last night,” Thomas said. Thomas would not say where Cooner’s body was found, nor how she died. Her body was sent to the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta for autopsy.
