New fathers treated for POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS after witnessing their partners give birth


New fathers are being left so traumatised after watching their partners give birth that some are diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, according to a new study.

Severe and life-threatening complications in pregnancy can have a big impact on fathers as well as mothers, experts have found.

Oxford University researchers interviewed men about their experiences after their partners experienced complications during birth.

Many told of being left alone in hospital corridors with no clue of what was happening.

Fathers are being left mentally scarred after watching their partners go through traumatic labours, according to a new study by Oxford University
