Pretty good stuff!  That is, if you're cheap....insecure...and like to stalk people!!

Now, I only wonder if I could get some $$ from my ex's for all the dates I paid for in my lifetime...

XXX, I have a story of my own... on a man-to-man basis, tell me what you think of this:

One time some friends of mine wanted to introduce me to a lady they knew. I agreed to have dinner at their home and she was invited also. We were all there a good 3 hours, lots of conversation, it was fun, but as things went along I had concluded in my mind that I wasn't really interested in the girl. But in NO way, shape or form did I display that, I was determined to be a gentleman all the way... that's what I am about. It comes time to be leaving and the lady of the house comes to me privately and says, "By the way, _______ doesn't have her car- we picked her up tonight... would you mind taking her home?" Oh boy. Now I know I have to go through the whole see-her-to-the-door routine, especially because she lived in a very questionable part of town. Of course, I say OK, and we head off down to her place... it turns out to be like an old-fashioned rowhouse with long steps out front. It wasn't even an "official date", but being in that part of town there is NO QUESTION that I am going to see her safely inside. I pull up, put the car in "park", and begin to open the door to get out and get the door for here and walk her to the steps. The girl says, "Oh, no, don't do that, that's OK, I can see myself in". She jumps out of the car- QUICKLY- says thanks, and goes up the steps leaving me kind of feeling awkward. I stayed there until I saw for sure that she was inside safely, then drove off shaking my head. I had the impression she would have been embarrassed to have been seen with a man escorting her to the front of the home. Fine, OK, I was done with her. I had no intention of contacting her again.

Several days later the people who invited us over came up to me and asked, "What happened?" I asked them what they meant. They said, "_______ is telling people she knows that you weren't enough of a gentleman to open the car door for her when you took her home."

There are "I'm-not-interested" signals that a person can use, I know how that works... but to smear me to her friends and make me look like I am careless and rude is WAY far over the line.

So believe me, it works both ways.

I'm about to go out on a date for the first time in a VERY LONG time on Wednesday night...

I'm almost afraid to read that article, you guys!!!!!  I think I'll read it later...  maybe...

I'm reluctant enough about dating....  oh boy...  But, last night, when I asked Michael if he danced...

He was so sweet ~ he said he tries to...  hasn't in a long time ~ and that we could find a place to go dancing after dinner on Wednesday...

 :) It just might be a Beautiful Night...

And Michael likes old Prince...

:lol:  :lol:  :lol: I might have sent him the $50 ~ all cut up into tiny little pieces...

And then taken out a restraining order on the jerk!

My best friend Julie and me, met two guys at an upscale
dance club in NJ in the early 80's.  We were both 23 years of age, tops.

We agreed to go on a double date and the guys picked us up in their brand new custom van with cb radio and everythang! LOL

We decided to go to Atlantic City to gamble and party which we did.

When it was time to go home the "boyz" informed us that they had reservations for a room since it was too late and they were too drunk to drive home.

My friend was way too drunk to argue and the guys were trashed, but I had sobered up.  I would have none of this!  

I piled them all in the van again and took the lot of us home.

I was not used to driving a van so I never could quite stop in time for the tollbooths along the way but I got us home safely.

Everyone fell asleep on the way home and I played on the cb radio the whole way home ( 10 4 good buddy) to keep me awake.

We never went out with those guys again......

Not sure, but I kinda think that guy would be considered somewhat 'anal retentive'?

Or just a plain old jerk... :wink:  :roll:

Mom ~ I'm home ~ and I had a lot of fun...

Michael's a better dancer than he admitted...  He even knows ballroom dancing...

He's a good guy, Strike...  he moved his mom in with him recently when she got ill...  he moved her up  from Florida...

He better be a good guy Katz!!  Or else, I'd have to take a 5 hour drive and straighten him out...;)

I worked with him before...  at my last job...  he quit ~ and went to where we work now...

We got along real well there too...  He's easy to talk with...

I think he's liked me for a while now, Strike...

Oh gosh...  that 5 hour drive...

it's not him ....  I'm not sure I want to commit to a relationship...

Yeah, I got the second one.  I thought it was spectacular (as usual)!!  Now, of course I'd like all 9.  But, I think I may have enough for now.  keep them handy though...aaiigghhtt??  ;)

I'm working now on a DVD jacket for "Sign 'O' The Times" ~ I want it to have that wall with scenes from all of the songs... on it...

But ~ I don't necessarily like the scenes that are there in all of them ~ so I'm picking the screen shots that I want...

Yeah, he does ~ in Florida...  his brother wants to move...  but I'm not sure where to...

You really do have an eye for that types of stuff.  Believe me...I'd know.  I see a lot of graphics and such on a regular basis.  You have everything to be proud of.  Some of your stuff is as good as I've seen done professionally.  I'm not kidding about that...

Keep it up!  I'd be very curious to see what you can do with about 2 months worth of practice...;)

BTW...have you got through all those discs I sent you yet?  My favorite one is the Detroit '86 gig.  The man was on fire for that one...

Also, I just heard he's supposed to play a concert in Athens Greece in Sept.  First time EVER playing there.  Pretty exciting for the Greeks...;)

Never intentionally...no.  I'm not saying I won't say the wrong things at times...because everyone does.  But, I was rasied to respect others.  Just trying to share that knowledge.  Glad it comes through in my posts...

I think it was gut...  because I had to figure out what was wrong...  because he did not one thing wrong tonight...  but he did play a horse earlier ~ and went to collect his winnings...
