Bridgegate official misconduct complaint against Christie can move forward By Myles Ma | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com on October 13, 2016 at 10:08 AM, updated October 13, 2016 at 11:05 AM A judge in Bergen County ruled Thursday morning that enough probable cause exists for a citizen's official misconduct complaint against Gov. Chris Christie to move forward in connection with the governor's alleged role in the 2013 Bridgegate scandal. Bill Brennan, a retired Teaneck firefighter and citizen activist, filed the complaint over the September 2013 incident that became known as Bridgegate. The politically-motivated lane closures at the George Washington Bridge caused significant traffic issues over a four-day span in the Fort Lee area. The closures sparked a 16-month federal investigation. Municipal Presiding Judge Roy McGeady ruled that there was probable cause for Brennan's complaint to move forward. ::snipping3:: ::trump:: (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CuqU38PWIAAOIdg.jpg) |
