I'm still looking for the links for it but......the young man who gave it to her was prosecuted for it, a classmate. She had been drinking also if memory serves me correctly. well strike that one, it was a mix of cocaine, meth, and ecstasy which I don't think applies here. She was 16 and a classmate provided all the drugs. The toxicologist did state in the court hearing however, that it is impossible to tell which of those three drugs delivered death but the ecstasy was the last one she took - cocaine first, then meth, then ecstasy.

Lord who would ever do such......no one can be that naive even at 16?

ORANJESTAD – The police corps committed a blunder in the case of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. According to ex-commissioner Stanley Zaandam, who dedicates attention to the case here and also in his upcoming publication.

According to Zaandam, the nominations - of among others Commissioners Bernardina, Dompig, Hassel and Richardson, along with 34 high-rank 1st class inspectors - which are against the law and hierarchy of the KPA [police corps], have serious consequences for the quality and integrity of work in KPA.

According to Zaandam, none of the high-ranked commissioners has the qualifications nor experience to conduct a judicial investigation.

According to Zaandam, Commissioner Dompig is under the instruction of Minister Rudy Croes, of MEP.

He also states that 20 other policemen were ranked high on a political list. Five others (…) among them Commissioner Hassell, according to Zaandam.

He also claims this is how Commissioner vd Straten was appointed to this case. However, according to Zaandam, this should not be work for a commissioner.


Zaandam continues talking about the blunder under which the 3 youngsters were questioned, which should have been a simple case, but one that resulted in KPA’s biggest blunder, due to the deceitfulness of JvdS, Satish and Deepak Kalpoe, they remained free another 12 days.


Zaandam keeps on saying in his book, two days after 5/29, the body of Natalee H. may have already been found and Cvp [police commissioner] looked the other way to do a favour for Paul vd Sloot (ex of chief staff of Cabinet PG [prosecutor general] J. Zwinkels). To exculpate the son of Paul, the CvP and fiscal chief prosecutor Karen Jansen made the false arrest of two ex-security guards, Jones and John , called this a ‘tactical maneuver’ , and denied them their freedom for another 10 days.

I know ratings is a big issue, but I also know from working with these people that - alls you have to do is give them a credible source with some tantalizing information and they'll put them on the air.........

My gut meter is not inclined to lean towards Dompig. Although I know he is a liar and all.

All this information is what scubajap and munzerhof have posted and told to Burroughs in the Vanity Fair article - it was all lies, but those women posted lots more lies for a reason. So one has to ask, why are they trying so hard to get the lie to stick?

Yes, Kermit, more is going on than meets the eye.  Taco was on FOX just now.  He totally pooh-poohed the story and the sources.  Said it wasn't true and didn't happen and JVDS is still innocent and had nothing to do with it.  He reiterated that Natalee could have been taken by martians or sold into sex slavery and that this story is just as ridiculous as those stories.  Huh!  Taco likes to spin his own story, that Joran is innocent, and any other stories are all hogwash.  Sure, Joey, sure.

I have taken to calling him Saint Joran as he seems to be the Patron Saint of Aruba since they are willing to sacrifice all to protect him and he represents all the male predators who go to the bars minutes before closing time to try to take advantage of the female tourists.  True some might want to be taken advantage of but they seem to specialize in those who are far more naive than that thence the lying about also staying at the same hotel.

I believe this is to counter something that is coming down the pike that we don't yet know about.

Well, someone pulled all their strings to get BOR to read this story on the air, and now other FOX reporters are reporting on the BOR story.  They are trying to get their mileage out of this.  We know it was not the Joran and PVDS camp.  So, who might be behind this?  The ATA?  The tourism people?  The ALE who might be slammed when the Dutch release their findings?  The government of Aruba who is on the hot seat right now?  I say, take your pick.  But, the source has a great deal of status to get FOX to report this with a straight face.

Mrs Red- I don't completely doubt that it's Dompig. I just question why the need to keep his name silent.

It could be that anytime someone hears his name they immediately think it's all a lie, so that could be a reason.

Could be a way to get his schtick out there and hide behind anonymity.

Maybe Aruba is so terrified of Beth's book they are trying to counter before it is released.  You may recall she once said they were bothering them with false leads so badly that she took to sleeping in her clothes because every night it was ALE doing some wild goose chase, etc.  Would wake them up and say Natalee had been seen here and there, was in a wreck, was at a hospital, etc. so they got little sleep.

Maybe they know if that is all told, most of which I think we have never heard, they are going to be exposed for what they are.

Then again, they may still fear what Beth and Jug said would shock the world.

I think the world is already shocked and this dirty underbelly and all the crime (See Murder and Crime Thread) is what they were talking about.  I know I am shocked.

So maybe Aruba is afraid of what Beth is going to say.  I see this as a preliminary book by Beth with maybe one later on when this is solved.

I hope they are right and she tells the world how she was treated by Aruba's finest.

On Jan. 13, 1999, Jones was arrested by the Paonia Police Department on suspicion of obstructing justice by intimidating a witness or victim and contempt of court for violating a restraining order.

On Feb. 9, 1999, Jones was arrested by the Delta County Sheriff’s Department on suspicion of contempt of court for violating a restraining order, false imprisonment, assault in the third degree, sexual assault and burglary.

On Oct. 10, 1999, Jones was sentenced to five years in the Colorado Department of Corrections for kidnapping in the second degree, according to the CBI.

Tourism must not be so rosy as we are being told it is.  Beth has a book coming out that can't look good for Aruba.  They are fearful of what the Dutch are going to have to say about the manner in which they failed to conduct a legitimate investigation.

Ergo, they launch massive offensive to counter and preempt.  They must really be scared of those two things exposing them for the scum they are.

But one thing for sure, even with BOR reading the ridiculous statement, Geraldo trashed that place six ways to Sunday so it did not have the desired effect of exonerating them as they were hoping I am sure.

This is all just making Aruba look worse by the day.

I think certain individuals trying to insinuate themselves in this when they clearly have no business doing so, well, they are just trying to sell their story for money and need to make it opposite from what we have been told.  Otherwise, it isn't really a story, just more of the same.  

Some are lying for money and some to save tourism.

But Joe T could have jumped on the cocaine story and didn't.  He could have said Natalee did cocaine after Joran left her on the beach but he didn't.  Very strange.

Very confusing for Arubans do not behave as normal people do which makes them very hard to read.  They seem to have a very strange and unique little culture and one that I personally do not care for at all.

Tyler is the one who posted about leaving a child that she thought was sound asleep in the back of the car at a service station when hers were young quite by accident of course.

I believe the two were asleep in the back of a station wagon and when she went in to pay, one went to the rest room without her knowing.  She thought they were both still under the cover fast asleep.  The remaining child quickly alerted her that she had left his brother and she went back immediately and got him.

Big whoop!  I have heard of this happening to others many times and while alarming as it might be, it happens often and to adults as well.  Have friends with a little silver trailer thingy and the husband left the wife in the rest room, same deal.  

It hardly constitutes abandonment when done accidentally as I would think any attorney would know unless he is a total idiot.

Natalee Holloway is the Alabama teen who disappeared in Aruba two years ago. We may not have to wonder any longer. Top law enforcement sources are now telling The O'Reilly Factor that Holloway died of cardiac arrest the night she vanished, after accidentally overdosing on cocaine. The source says Natalee did coke with suspect, Joran van der Sloot and another suspect, one of the Kalpoe brothers. After she overdosed, the three young men panicked and then disposed of her body in the ocean.

Fox's Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera discussed the controversial theory last night on The Factor.

Father Dave Holloway tells Fox that this cocaine theory is baseless and pure speculation. Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoe maintain they had nothing to do with Natalee's disappearance.

Criminal defense attorney, Joe Tacopina is Joran van der Sloot's lawyer and he joins me now. Joe, did Joran throw her body into the water where the sharks could consume it and no one would ever find it?

Joe:

No!! Thank you ( makes motion to get up and leave) I mean, this is crazy. This case will just never die and it's things like this, we've heard so many stories.

We heard that she was in Venezuela in a sex slave operation; we've heard according to the Police Chief that she overdosed on drugs at one point. We heard that she was buried by the lighthouse and they, there were reports that they'd found her body at one point. I mean, this case is larded with these kinds of things and to suggest that this is a credible story, is laughable.

There's no body, John, this is a theory, this is a theory

John Gibson:

There's no evidence, no this involves not drugs, the only evidence from all the evidence put together from Carlos & Charlies is alcohol and plenty of it, but alcohol.

Let me just say this, the Holloway family has denied vigorously that their daughter purchased drugs on that island from this individual who apparently claims to have sold them to her, but putting that aside, there's no evidence. This is, there's not a body John. You can't suggest she had a heart attack without a body. This is just laughable and the reason that source is remaining anonymous is, why doesn't that source come on tv and explain the basis of that opinion.

This kind of stuff is really non-productive and hurtful to both the Holloway family and the van der Sloot family.

Gibson:

The Natalee shocker, even if she OD'd, that's the explanation for her death, is Joran in the clear?

Joe:

Joran's in the clear because he had nothing to do with it. They're about to close that case against him in Aruba. His story has panned out and at this point they've investigated every aspect of this case. Every grain of sand on that island has been turned around.

Putting that aside, where does the body go? Even if the story were plausible (inaudible) non-existent shark pool that's in Aruba? I mean, the body would wash up, a sneaker, some clothes. That is not a plausible story

Gibson:

Bodies disappear in the ocean all the time Joe

They searched with every sort of equipment known to man

It is, John this is a theory, she could have drowned too, who's to say but the heart attack, cardiac arrest, I wouldn't mind the theory as a theory saying well maybe she went into the water and drowned, she was drunk she wanted to go swimming and she drowned. To suggest she overdosed on drugs and then had a cardiac arrest, that would get into the autopsy that never occurred. A cardiac arrest and then went away and disappeared into the ocean is really a joke and I can't believe we actually wasted four and a half minutes

But it was too weird, Easy.  He was basically quoting Dave and saying that this statement cannot be made without a body having autopsied, etc.

He compared this one with reports of Natalee living in Venezuela, being sold as a sex slave and all the other wild things we have heard.

He was indirectly castigating BOR for reporting it and saying it cannot be known somebody died of OD without a body to confirm this.

What bothers me most about this entire event beyond the obvious of BOR quoting a highly credible source without revealing that source which is 100% suspect - is that NOW Aruba has put both Joran and Natalee in the same corner. Both labeled with guilt for her disappearance.

I have to agree with Tacopina here, if you are going to go on national tv and allege a young lady overdosed and then name two people whom disposed of her body at sea, you need to name your source, or atleast provide a copy of a case document that supports your conclusion. I know journalists are given alot of freedom, but O'Reilly needs to support his position. On the other hand, it really doesn't matter, Dompig said exactly the same thing a year ago and his source was the investigation itself.

I think what I am trying to say is that I expected better from O'Reilly.

On last thread Port Val and Hammer posted about the neg image of aruab from BOR last night.

I agree. while listeneing to that segment it made me wonder about the few people I met that said they went or were going to aruba, like did they go for a tropical vacation or are they closet coke-heads and in need of sex 4 $$$$ .

It's pro Aruba.  Trying to give an explanation of what happened to Natalee and blaming her for her own demise.  Also softening the blow for Joran and one of the Kalpoes.  Like the lady said on Fox before they are trying to get Joran and that Kalpoe brother on the charges of disposal of the body.  How much time would they get in Aruba for that.  I would think time served and they walk freely like they have been.

They didn't expect Geraldo to say what he said about Aruba. He basically he said Aruba is for old people who seek prostitution and young people who seek drugs.

Trying to show that this was not a cover-up and her death was an accident and the 3 young boys were scared and disposed of her body.

No it doesn't especially back then.... and I know that none or tyler would never ever do anything to harm thier children...

Well, he has a point there.  The only “enormously credible source” that could provide that type of info would be the ME that did the autopsy!

Theories are just theories and should not be stated in headlines as fact.  My own theory is that she ingested drugs and was dumped in the ocean, but that is where the similarities between my thoughts and the “source’s” thoughts end.

Why didn’t they examine the fact that the former chief investigator in Aruba is trying to blame our FBI?  That is a fact and you would think BOR would sink his teeth into that one!

My daughter actually said some things I think are out of the mouth of babes in that this generation has had a good education, if they have availed themselves of the resources to do so. We were discussing the ethical codes which apply to the law profession, she needed no instruction from me, she's got it. She mentioned that some professions like law, medicine, politics are chosen professional professions that carry a strict standard for how one even portrays themselves away from their workplace.

She is right, now just imagine if you were chuckie's client and you read his posts at RU or even the BB board? How comfortable would you feel your personal information would never be shared, that this person would take the utmost regard for your case and your care, or that this person is one you could respect?

You are right, I totally agree.  The claim that the FBI impeded the investigation is far more important than Dompig trotting out his brother-in-law who lives in the bushes with an aluminum lawn chair again.

I sent that to the local FBI in B'ham so they are fully aware of this.  I am sure others did to and to the headquarters in Washington, D.C.

That would be a new angle.  That would be far more important news than this tired old repeat from a year ago by sources who won't even face their accusations publicly.

Maybe BOR is planning to give Beth coverage for her book and so is giving the other side their shot now?

Well, this is not a new theory or tale out of Aruba.  The claims about the FBI and even VP Cheney are and that is the angle where coverage should be given.  That shows the lack of insight on the part of ALE.  That is right out there with space ships and crop circles conspiracies and should be exposed to let the world know that Aruba has nutjobs as an excuse for LE.

My 90 year old Mom-in-law was just here for a visit. I stayed off the computer most of the time she was here and did not bring up the Natalee Holloway case. She did! She asked me about it, and said she still thinks the 3 boys are responsible for whatever happened to Natalee, and that the father is somehow involved. Rest assured a lot of people care about this case and a lot of people have not and will not forget.

Have had a disorganised two weeks but getting settled into a routine again and by Monday should be back to normal.
Caught the BOR and Geraldo farce of an announcement.  They looked like two people being made to read a disagreeable statement.  I thought at first it had been organised by JoeT but then he came out and bombed the segment so not his doing.
It seems to me that the emphasis in most of the statements and theories put about lately seems to be on the ocean disposal.  Coincidence or covering their bases with the TES search looming?

I agree here.  It could very well mean that the ALE are completely locked out of the investigation by the KLPD, door locks changed/no access to info.  They may announce that the case is closed to them.

I don't think ALE has the authority to close the case.

I think I have considered just about every option possible.  I have always assumed that part of Shango referred to Natalee being at a rave party...which would also fit along the lines of her being given drugs or let's say enticed to take drugs and the drugs killed her.  Still doesn't get the 3 perps off the hook, just tells me that someone was instrumental in seeing that she took the drugs.

A lesser degree of a credible witness would be if he was involved in the disposal of the body and arrived after she died. An even lesser degree of credible would be a person wih such an intimate relationship with the boys as to feel certain that their confidence was well placed and that he wouldn’t betray them, and the witness would have to have reasons unknown to the rest of the world to believe them. In any of these degrees required to meet the definition of a credible, that witness has become a participant to the crime. Bill O’Reilly claims to have a close enough relationship with the source/witness to determine the witness’s credibility, so at this point Bill is now involved in the coverup of the crime. If not, he has defamed Natalee and her family and provided a measure of exhoneration to Joran and the Kalpoe brothers. The credible source/witness must also know all that are involved in disposing of the body, including who furnished the boat and equipment.

Much has been said that she overdosed and the boys were simply with her and their crime was in not reporting the death and in disposing of the body. Well, without professional medical help involved, why would they be so certain that she was dead. Everyday of the world highly trained nurses in medical settings with bright lights and equipment are not able to find a heartbeat or respirations, which are present but too slight to detect. This incident allegely happened at night,the disgnosis was made by an intoxicated grup of teens, with no equipment and no trained people involved. The cause of death being an overdose, faint repirations and pulse would be expected, so there is a huge possibiity that they killed her when they disposed of the body. In fact, absent a qualified statement of death, the authorities should presume she was alive when they disposed of the body.

Mr O’Reilly is clearly out of bounds, defamed Natalee, and is exhonaerating the boys to a degree, simply to unjustly enrich his pockets with profits. He has no credibility and his show should be canceled due to his irresponsible treatment of this story.

Then one lady from Homewood called to tell him that it was only a theory.  The discussion went on and after a man called  and pointed out that there was no evidence that she overdosed and by this time Finebaum was trying to backpedal and fast.  Nevertheless, my DH was trying to get a call in to try and correct the story.  He never did, but he said after the break Finebaum changed the subject again and never went back to it.

You're welcome PV. As you can see the story is at the top... that means it is the most read and more people are now disillusioned than before. Some will see the headline and think the case is solved and Natalee did this all to herself.

Have you guys seen pictures of the ships TES will be using on the ocean search? They are close to a football field in length, have underwater remote vehicles, and a helipad. To get all that equipment there and do a 50-100 square miles search could take months and cost millions. I have to ask if the company that is assisting could be there for another reason too. Robots- if Tim finds Natalee, and I believe he very well might, he will deserve the Congressional Medal of Honor in my opinion. This is a story that has captivated so many for so long.

If you are still here, Justice really means something to you.

You have learned alot about yourself along the way.

As for Tim - it will solidify my belief that God does what God wants and acts in His time and place. Many sometimes forget that Tim lost his daughter Laura. Many have forgotten that very important fact. Out of something so terrible for Tim and his family something so good for so many others has emerged. I believe God did this all.

It will also solidify that Tim is the premier search and rescue person in the western hemisphere if not the world.

Rob - another great post.  Yes, Tim has turned a tragedy into something very positive to assist other families.
Also Natalee's tragedy has been turned into positive by her family and all the monkeys who have spread the word about Aruba and also other missing persons.  A network for good against a very evil part of humanity.

It is damm frustrating sometimes and I think most of us see a world devoid of people who make a difference.

I think SM, in only 26 months, has proven that the tide has turned and we can make a difference one person at a time. All that is needed is the desire, the passion, the balls to stand up to the people that say you can not do it.

When you reach your goal, set another one. When the people you help tell you that it means the world to them ... well, then you know you are fulfilling God plan for you and you have something to be proud of.

Our time is limited on this planet. We all only have so much time. I choose to spend mine helping others where and when I can. I hope others will too.

I would give anything if someone would confess! What makes me leary about this is when Jossy translated that article, didn't he say that even though they will close the case soon, they can always open it back up IF they get more tips or evidence. That sounded to me like they are saying they do not have any at this time. We all know they could have had plenty of evidence if they really wanted it. I think they are ready to sweep this under the rug if they can...... Robots... I need encouragement!

Hope everyone is doing GREAT tonight!

Has been a while since I posted, but I read every day.  Just wanted to say thanks to Red and Dugga for the changes a-comin'.  Sounds really exciting!  Thanks, also, to all our Monkeys here, for the atmosphere, care and concern of all our posters.  I read the prayer thread daily, and include all the monkey requests.   Even though I do not post often, you each have a special place in my life... I feel that I know each of you.  What a blessing to have a group of people with one heart and one purpose to "come home to".  

I am anxiously awaiting the TES search, with daily prayers that they will be successful in returning Natalee to her parents.  

I am coming out of retirement to do some substitute teaching this year, since all the grandkids will be in school.  Say a prayer for me, it's been 30 years since I taught.  I will continue to check in and keep up.  I am here for the duration....when Natalee comes home.
