To your question whether the girl had made racist comment to us, I can say the following. The girl made no comment like that to us.

The FBI was at his home at night, but he wasn't there. His father phoned as to where he was, Joran said in the Radisson Casino. He told that after the phone call he was called by Deepak and that Deepak picked him up a few minutes later.

That sequence of events is out of whack.  Deepak was already with Joran when he got the call from Paulus.

Joran believes Freddy got the dates wrong and that he told Freddy the lie on May 31st. Joran denies having stated that the girl fell unconscious and that "we" left her on the beach. Joran does not consider the mistakes strange as witnesses often have problems concerning dates, events from almost two weeks earlier.

Or….”That damned Freddy can’ get the story straight!!!  I told him what to say and he can’t get it right.  Do I have do everything around here?!”

Carlo visits Joran at Jail and confronts him with Freddy's statement. At this point Joran admits that he had lied and that "Freddy was telling the truth."

So which is it…Freddy got it wrong or Freddy was right???

Joran claims the police could manufacture statements and that the police would go pretty far afield. "We" even considered the possibilituy that the police would plant evidence to close the case given the pressure they were under.

You just have to call BS on this one.  Why would Satish go back to get Joran’s shoes for him unless he is indeed Joran’s slave.  Sounds like Joran thinks of the Kalpoes as slaves, not Natalee.

That Freddy has stated that we did not know what to do when she did not recover and that we then left her on the beach and that I left my sport shoes behind, that is not correct. This did not happen this way. I have left my sport shoes at the Marriott beach. I think Freddy did not correctly understand what I told him.

Once again Freddy is not telling the lies the way he is supposed to.  Or, Joran has changed the story since going to jail and Freddy doesn’t know about the change in plans…like SGC.

In a second statement on June 13th, Freddy "keeps insisting" that Joran told him the HI story on May 30th. In his sixth and seventh statements Freddy repeated that Joran had unsuccesfully tried to revive an unconsious Natalee and that Joran thought that a black tourist couple on the beach would look after Natalee.

Why do these people keep trying to blame a black person (people)?

About the shoes being left on the beach...I would suspect that there was evidence on them and Joran didn't want anyone looking for them around the house.  It was also a good cover for his parents.  If his parents bought them for him in FL (I think I read that), they may not be available in Aruba.  I believe they are rather expensive and his parents may get angry about him losing them, but it would be an excuse that his parents would believe and his mother would jump down anyone's throat that didn't believe her son.  Years ago I knew a kid that would only wear KSwiss and he guarded them with his life.  If Joran could get them cleaned up he could just say he found them. 

After the "something bad" happened at the VDS residence ... I contend that the plan was to take Natalee to the Marriott Beach and leave her there to be discovered the next morning ... dead of a drug overdose.  Deepak dropped Joran, Freddy and a deceased Natalee off at the Marriot Beach and ... he then drove his vehicle across the street and parked it near the Racquet Ball club.  I tend to agree with Dave Holloways theory regarding what happened to Joran shoes.

I suspect that Joran had second thoughts about leaving Natalee's body on the beach when he considered the forensic evidence that would reveal a sexual assault ... a beating.  I speculate that Joran, Deepak and Freddy were discussing this issue when the gardener observed them sitting in Deepak's vehicle.  Later Paulus was contacted and ... enters the scenario .....

That`s the only plausible explanation I could think of. The police have not told me specifically what the reasoning is, but, as you`re well aware, the gardener pinpointed them at the racquet club in her vehicle. So I think the shoes may have been lost, maybe cutting across the field from the beach area.

I think that it's the island that has a race problem... notice joran keeps trying to place the blame on black security guards, black tourists, etc.   
He just assumed that a white girl would be into this way of thinking... that here in the US it wouldn't be questioned, the media seems to love to crank up the race issue...

I think that island has some very major misconceptions about how the real world really works, and this race thing is a big one.  Inside of their little drug haven, their social skills are stuck in the 1800's.  Their "bury your head in the sand" mentality has kept the minorities from making any gains in civil rights, and quite frankly, they still think the rest of the world operates this way.  Aruba is the real "Lost World".

I was at my uncle's a few weeks ago for a BBQ.  When time came around to eat, he took some Brats and rather than the typical kethcup, mustard, onions, sauerkraut, whatever, he smothered them with salsa.  I had to try it and i'll tell, it was really good!!!  Try it sometime!!

I think Joran's family and education has led him to this belief about people from Alabama and all of the implications he has made toward black people was meant to trap Natalee's family into believing him.  He thinks that is what all southerners do...blame the blacks.  He is wrong about that and Beth knew immediately that he security guards were innocent and said so.

My hubby and I are constantly at odds over this expiry date issue.  He claims if the condiments are kept free from contamination and are kept refrigerated ... they are still safe to eat after the indicated date.  He points out ... "BEST BEFORE".  Me ... I chuck contents of jars down the sink on the expiry date.  Not a day before and ... not a day after.  Only on that magic date predetermined by minds much superior than mine.

Now I am to understand ... that the expiry day means nothing once a jar is opened.  I am wondering why I am not pushing pushing up daisy ... succumbed long ago to a bout a food poisoning. :lol:

I'm pretty sure the Dutch brought the slave trade, but i think the drugs (at least pot and cocaine) has probably been there all along, especially give Aruba's proximity to Venezuala.  I think the mentality of the natives goes back to before the Dutch came along.

Nato is reported to have killed at least two senior Taliban leaders in an airstrike north of Helmand as they were watching a public execution.

The bombing took place in the northern district of Baghran on Thursday, a district entirely controlled by the Taliban.

The Taliban's commander for southern Afghanistan, Mansoor Dadullah, was among those targeted, according to unconfirmed reports.


The Afghan Defence Ministry said that the airstrike took place as Taliban leaders gathered to watch the public hanging of several alleged government spies.

Dadullah replaced his older brother Mullah Dadullah Akhund after he was killed by the Special Boat Service (SBS) in Helmand on May 17th.

The younger Dadullah was interviewed by Channel 4 last week promising a wave of kidnaps of foreigners in the province. He threatened to have them beheaded by child executioners.

The Afghan defence ministry claimed that intelligence reports indicated the presence of Mansoor Dadullah at the targeted meeting. The senior Taliban commander for Helmand, Mullah Rahim, was also reported killed.

Doctors in the provincial capital Lashkar Gah reported that 20 people were admitted to the main hospital from Baghran district, ranging in age from eight to 50 years old, while Kandahar hospital also admitted 12 men.

Nasibullah, one of the injured, said the bomb hit a crowded market killing dozens of civilians and that no Taliban were in the area.

One military source, who did not wish to be named denied allegations of civilian casualties.

"We are 100 per cent clear that this was entirely Taliban. Those in hospital are fighting age males. This is the Taliban trying to cover the fact that they got caught out."

A statement put out by the US-led coalition in Afghanistan last night said that it had targeted two "notorious Taliban commanders": "During a sizable meeting of senior Taliban commanders, coalition forces employed precision-guided munitions on their location after ensuring there were no innocent Afghans in the surrounding area."

Nato has systematically targeted the Taliban leadership with airstrikes for the past year and claims to have seriously depleted the Taliban's command and control structure. According to figures collated by Western diplomats in Kabul, around 45 middle and high level Taliban commanders in Helmand have been killed to date.

Hey ... if the truth were know ... I can just imagine when my eldest son was a teenage what he called his father and me in regards to the  control issue when he was with his friends.  You know ... he was right ... we were controlling.  Our son was too precious to us to be let loose on a long leash ... to make immature decisions that had the ability to negatively affect the rest of his life and ... the lives of others.

Today he is now 37 years old and ... fully appreciates the uncompromising stand of his parents when he was a teen.  He is married with a beautiful almost one year son.  Payback time is coming in about 14 more years!

Good Afternoon all you monkeys!  I get so upset reading Joran BS, knowing the police know everything and have done nothing.  Lying POS.  And they know he did it.  I believe the casino owners, part of ATA, have too much power.  In reading Shango's posts, I think he was trying to simply tell us the drug lords, casino owners, prostitute providers, porn movie makers, drug dealers, didn't want the truth known, and every one was either paid off or given new jobs (like Dompig).   It was all about keeping secrets secret.  And if this news got out, (what really happened to Natalee) there would be no more tourists, and too mush attention from law enforcement from the US and countries trying to stop this crap.   I think all Joran's friends families felt threatened, not be ALE, but by the dark side that runs the island.  Unfortunately,  I don't think the KLPD is going to come up with anything either, I believe the Hague has dark siders in there too.  I was reading a thread on Scrux that talks about the higher ups and sex with underage kids going on. 

I agree sirensong.  The only problem I had with Joran saying he called Deepak is that I believe they are all at the Sloot home and this is why it took Paulus a long time to answer the door.  No one takes that long to answer the door and I don't care how heavy of a sleeper you are.  If someone is at my door I just up right away to see what is going on.

Before I finished working, I had called him again. He said that at that time he was in the casino of the “Radisson Hotel”. I said that I would come to where he was.

Satish came and picked me up from work at approximately 23:10 hours at my place of work. I had brought Satish home because he had school the following day and also because my mother had been angry because we had stayed out late that day and that Satish hadn't gone to school. I then went to the “Radisson Hotel”. When I arrived there I met up with Joran, Guido and Andre. Joran was playing a poker tournament. I zat and watched. Joran was pretty inebriated that evening. We stayed there and played for about 2 hours after I arrived. I had arrived there at approximately 00;00 hours. At some point there was an altercation between a tourist and Joran. The tourist was of the opinion that we were helping Joran. We said to Joran that it was better if we would leave. We then left. Guido went away to take Andre home and me and Joran went to the “Wyndham” hotel11. I wanted to play blackjack. When we arrived at the “Wyndham” during parking Joran received a telephone call on his mobile. He spoke to a person. I heard him speak the name Paul. Hi monkeys. I would just like to say to any non-monkey who thinks I am a member of the KKK that I spent the afternoon at a predominantly black church attending the wedding of a black couple and had a great time. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.  ;)

They are a middle-aged couple and seemed much more relaxed about the whole thing than most young couples generally are. There was lots of laughter and silliness and applause during the wedding ceremony, and it was loads of fun.  :D

Regarding your post about attachment size....I had posted a monkey picture yesterday on last thread.  I wasn't sure the picture was too big, but never checked the requirements.  When I posted, I got the IE 'there was a problem and will have to shut down' message.  Thought maybe I had made a boo boo, but when I opened a new browser, my post was okay...nobody said they fixed it...so I guess my picture wasn't oversized...I would think we should get some sort of message if the file is too large...but having worked with web stuff, I won't assume.

Thank you for your concern.. am in full daylight. I do full, stop but quick pictures. Almost always with windows up. And look front, back and sides but you are always at risk.

The isolated sites are like in plain view in LA and a nearby city... just can be sooo isolated at night; but then again, today I was the only person on that one street.

I have my handy dandy dog, and my hand=dandy ROBOTS cell phone. Am familiar with that street in the mid-80s and 90's when an ex boyfriend owned 1/2 block of it and had his business there. All the land in some part of it and nearby buildings in and around on on one side are vacated because of CalTrans wanting, someday to put a light rail there around the RR tracks or where they have been dug out.

Only locals would know about this street mostly. It sure had a lot of gang graffiti on the street. but you find that all over here in some parts.

 I found it ironic at at the beginning of this lone street... only about 4+ blocks where the supposed suspect lived.. there is a motorcycle/scooter something at the corner. I drove around that block 4 times and never could quite figure out what kind of store/outdoor thing it was. PS..He drove a motorcycle.

When I talk to people in the city where I live where they'd hid a body, 99% give the area by his house and this other area unless you go into the LA city park up the hills and the oil wells or throw something in the desert.

OLDF...I'll more than pop in Dear...just right now have been dealing with a Woman and her 5 kids...we've been sending them all over the US to *protect her and children* from a MONSTER.

This is one of my primary goals. We set up paypal accounts, get them prepaid phones, and provide them with places to stay/w/kids to help them get out of dangerous situations...

I'm trying to catch up again, going backwards, but when I went in there, all I was able to do was say hi to MuffyBee and then the screen when weird, and a box popped up that something was downloading...everything was a mess.  I closed out and went back in but same thing happened....not sure I will venture back.

The I-95 Corridor along the East Coast is a VERY dangerous conduit for drugs, contraband, you name it, from Florida to the NE and vice versa. There should be a LOT of police patrolling that highway and all cities along that route. Charleston isn't TECHNICALLY on that route but it only about 30 miles from it.

I have never had this many problems.  I have re-booted twice, am not using AOL, cleared cookies and cache.  Here is my page speed fom the bottom.......Page created in 0.097 seconds with 23 queries. Didn't Dugga say if it got to 1.00 to tell him?  If so it's almost there.

Pages are loading MUCH faster than before, and Tribalfusion isn't causing the hangs like it used to.

But, but, but...the page created thingy showed a very low number at the bottom for me a couple of days ago, and the pages still didn't load.  I would walk away and come back and it would still be sitting there.  So the number down at the bottom wasn't a true reflection of what was really going on for me.  Does that make sense?  It just finally got better one time.

This might already be old news since I didn't watch the news last night, but when I turned it on this morning the Duane Chapman was being interviewed and he's been cleared by a Mexican court.  He's a free man.

I finally got to the front page and see this is old news.  But I'm sure glad to hear this got settled and on the side of justice.

There has been some reservations about this from some sources.  He was not cleared.  According to reports the court document was written in Spanish and dealt with the expiration of the "Statute of Limitations."  According to first reports it does seem that charges will be dropped on that basis.  However, there is a caution right now until they can get someone with a legal knowledge of the interpretation of the legal documents from Spanish to English.  It will probably mean that it has been dismissed because of the expiration of time, but they really wish to be sure.

Not sure if Tim Miller has time to come to chat, but I cannot speak for him. 

I have tried a few times to go into the chat room, and have had problems.  I do not think we are the only ones. 

When I go in, a box pops up that a file is being downloaded, then the whole chat forum goes crazy....distorts & freezes up.  I have not tried today, but yesterday, I was able to say hello to MuffyBee and that was it...could not post in there afterward.

I've been thinking alot lately about the blood in the car turning into chocolate & cleaning fluid discussion we;ve been having.

I don't ever recall any comments from Deepak, Joran or Satish about the car being cut up for samples.  I don't know about the average person, but I would be mightily po'd if my car were cut up.  It would mean expenses to replace the head liner and backseat cover.  I would be indignant especially if I kept my car immaculate like Deepak claims he did. I'd also be very angry if I were an innocent person this happened too.

We know Deepak talked.  He talked to John or Jones I forget about the family hatching the plan around the poool.  He talked to SKeeter.  Why no commments about the car?  Doesn't seem right to me.  Maybe b/c he knew it was a different car and not his?

FWIW - and you can take with a grain of salt, but I've been told by someone who claims to know Deepak that his car was torn apart.  That's not to say there wasn't a 2nd car.

I had been thinking about Sunfreak's post, and thought that it was reasonable based on what most of us know.  Now, reading your post, it shows that some are in contact with people who may or may not have more information based on friendships or contact with the case.   

Will we ever know for sure?  I, personally, do not know.

Made me think of that car PVDS was driving with the chunk out of the steering wheel...silly as it may seem.

He is not going to comment about the car if there is blood in it because it makes him look even more guilty.  He had that interior replaced.  He had 10 days to replace everything.  The ALE could have said his car was torn apart when actually they were taking the new interior he put in the car and using it as part of the evidence they were sending to the forensic institute in Holland and saying this is part of his car.  Of course there would be no evidence on it because they knew it was all newly replaced.  It is impossible that there was no trace of Natalee in that car.  JMO.

exactly and the other distrubing thing about that is the fact that they all watched... it was pretty much in the open...and the fact that anita could describe in such detail her underwear... I just think that the mention of hte house was to cover it up if someone noticed they were there....

Without elaborating on the evidence, the office said in a statement that "new facts and circumstances" led them to re-arrest Satish Kalpoe, 18 and brother Deepak, 21. "They are suspected of the primary criminal act of together with other people committing premeditated murder, alternately together with other people murdering somebody, more alternately rob a person of her liberty with fatal consequences and even more alternately raping somebody," the statement said. "Aside from these suspicions against the two brothers, there are new suspicions, which at this point the prosecutor is not commenting on."

Very interesting that this is the reason why they were rearrested.  How do they know other people were involved.  This makes me sick because they have all this information and are unwilling to prosecute them.  The only reason they brought them back in was to let them know they had this information on them and they better shut their mouths.  Joran was in jail so he wouldn't open his big mouth and this is the same reason they brought the Kalpoes back in.  What evidence was presentent to the judge to hold them on this.

You're right SunFreak, I forgot about Freddy. They were able to sweep that episode under the rug and release everyone when Katrina hit. They thought the U.S. attention wouldn't turn back to Natalee and Aruba in the aftermath of Katrina.

IIRC, the sex angle was dropped as they said it wasn't what they appeared, the underage girl had on a bathing suit. Kinda' like what many think was Natalee's blouse that turned into a 'fishnet.'

First call to Aruban police dept where Lorenzo was being held...nice man there told me L had been moved to corrections inst. I got him to give me a contact name and # there...I called there 001 297 XXX XXXX asked for XXXXXXX, and XXXXXXX got on the computer and checked all for me.

Latest info Lorenzo van Rijn, Daniel Winkler sp? and Martin Winkler were all released on July 25th...no court date set...they had private meeting with judge...only one still in jail at corrections inst. is Ramon for guns  Lorenzo is still on Aruba and back at home.

So Lorenzo was released from KIA on July 25th according to them.  He is still in Aruba and there has been no court date set. 

Rumour has it that the bar was CHOOSE-A-NAME

So will there be a court date for Lorenzo, or is this another example of a thug being set free by the Aruban legal system?

Interesting, they make a BIG DEAL about arresting the drug dealers and have behind closed door meetings and quietly release them. So............drug dealers are handled the same way as the 'alledged' murderers and rapists.

Mrs. Red - LORENZO was brought in for questioning early in the case.  LORENZO is one of the first people mentioned in the case.  YES, I do think Lorenzo is involved in some way.  He may not have been directly involved with Natalee but could be involved with either supplying drugs or body disposal.

I wonder why on an island that doesnt' care at all about drug use he was arrested.... i mean in reality (theirs, that is...) what is 100 pot plants?
