As you can see I have changed my avatar. It fits me better, this is the way I usually feel. I have been around reading the Natalee thread, but I am having trouble getting into the threads. It takes about 5 minutes to go from one page to another and when I try to post I usually get a white page that just sits there.
Anyway, I hope this posts. I am getting more RAM for my computer next week. Hope it will help.

Dear CBB,

I like the Christmas avatar much better than the other one. You did an amazing job with the Hannukah candles, with the "shomer" one in the middle.

I have no problem with my avatar having a Christmas theme. The only other thing I can think of is a small Star of David in the middle of my tiara.

Anyway, I love the Christmas avatar and it doesn't matter about the star.

Thank you both for all your work. I very much appreciate all you've done for me.

I would like to use my original avatar (not distorted - I like to see all of my face and hair clearly) ... and just have a small Star of David in the middle of my tiara.

If you can add the disco ball and bells, as well as the garland below, that would be wonderful. If you can't because of distortion, that's ok too.

The main thing is I want is a simple avatar with or without add ons to my original.

Thank you Louise. I've probably learned more from making Dihannah's avatars than anyone else on the forum. Tinkerbell is always a cartoon with clear lines and cartoons are the easiest to work with. Actually, from this Christmas one, I may have learned something that will help me with your background in the future. I've always tried to "erase" or "repaint" to give you a different background, but I discovered a way to "replace" a selected color. I did it with Kimmy's, which also has hair showing through the color, after working on Dihannah's and it worked great. However, Kimmy's background was a solid color and yours isn't, so I can't make promises I might not be able to keep. I'm glad you were pleased with what was finally done for you!  :wink:

Hey Louise! Posting that got my curiousity up, and so I played with your avi. I know it's not what you prefer, but I was just seeing what could be done, and sure enough I found a new little tool that even allows you to recolor small areas with the same "lightness and darkness" as in the original pic ( note the lipstick )! Kewl! I haven't touched your hair at all, and if you look closely, you'll still see the orange peeking through the edges that is in the original, but the edges are exactly like they are in the original. I used the same "pen" on the dress, bow, and lips, and this is what I got. Anyway, thought I'd show you.  :wink:

You know, hon, as careful as you are, all anyone has to do is come here and copy any avatar being used, or picture that's posted. I found a tink I did for you recently in my browsings. I cracked up because it was on a "pay" site!  :lol: I doubt it will be widely available anytime soon!

Also, I'm sure you've figured out that I have more flexibility with taller images rather than wide ones. I really push the limit on width and I'm aware that those that have a wider screen can see a full avi while those who do not, can't. 100 pixels is what we're supposed to shoot for, and some of mine are up to 130. So far, nobody has fussed at me!

I never did figure out how to get the mermaid in liquid gif to work.  I really love that too.  I did it the same way as the Halloween and Christmas ones, that work fine, but the liquid one never worked!

Make sure you save it to your computer.  I'm sure Klaas probably has it saved but just in case at least you will have it on your computer.  Right click on the picture and hit Save Picture As and where it says Save Type As make sure it is saved as a GIF.

Remember which folder you saved it in.

CBB started doing Christmas avatars for the people that were posting at the time.  Since the latest arrests in the NH case alot of people (like you) have come back.  I'll leave her this and see if she can dress it up for Christmas.  If she doesn't have time I'll do it.

I lost the animation on my avatar I want to use for New Year's when I saved it.  There is supposed to be the words Happy New Year to appear in the sky behind me but no animation.

Can you fix it or add just a little bit of New Year's festivities like some silver and gold streamers and such?  Not too much that it will give me a seizure, just some pretties that indicate New Year's Eve for me?
