Title: Presenting Guinevere GoldenEye
Post by: LouiseVargas on June 30, 2006, 10:00:24 PM
Dear Monkeys,

I'd like to introduce you to my new baby kitten. She was born April 16, I adopted her on June 17, took her to my Vet on June 19 and he said she is in perfect health and that I lucked out in finding a healthy and beautiful kitten. The Vet said she is a grey tabby. However she not a grey tabby to my eyes. She is cream and silver. She has stripes but on her tummy she has polka dots. The underside of her tail is cream colored.

So, I am hereby presenting to you Guinevere GoldenEye, who is about ten weeks old and weighs a bit over 2 lbs. Her eyes are gold, not yellow.

Check out the beautiful eyeliner.

Her nose and paw pads are all burgundy.

She's taking a little nap.

She is fascinated looking out the front balcony window, feeling the breeze and the heat of the sun, as well as watching cars go by.

She turns to the camera.

A close up of a deep soul.

Posing for the camera.

She is a beautiful kat ! !
I have two old black alley kats who are now on probation.
But, just when I say that to them, they lay down and hug each other and
play kiss kiss. They are ten, but they were so much fun when the were
kitties !
They are still my babies, but Kitties are so special.

Louise,
That is a fine looking kitten and she is going to be one gorgeous cat as
an adult.  Her coloring is just lovely and you are right, she does appear to be very healthy.

I hope you enjoy each other for many years to come!

Thank you, Klaas for all your help.

Do ya really think she looks Egyptian? It must be the wedge shaped head and big ears.

I am so looking forward to what she will look like as an adult. But I don't want to rush things. The "baby" moments are treasures. I'm trying to take a lot of pics, but like Nonesuche said about her lovely kittens - they are running around so fast that it's hard to get a good pic. By the time I get Guinevere in focus, she jumps up and runs away!

I am so enjoying this kitten. She keeps me so amused and entertained and I'm laughing all the time.

She and my 13 year old male, Romeo, get along very well. They touch noses and they eat together. She has a strong personality (woe is me) and she is already the alpha cat over Romeo. She chases him around the apartment.

I plan on rescuing two more kittens. I want a beautiful orange one and a Maine Coon.

Life is good.

With love, Louise

Louise,

Thank you for posting these. She is beautiful.  I have really enjoyed your posts and am so happy that you have a new "baby" to spoil.  I'm sure she already adores you.

I was also very happy to read that you got to hug your daughter and grandchild.  You've had an eventful month and you so deserve it.

Louise-

Guinevere is just BEAUTIFUL, she has those black rims some refer to as 'eyeliner' around her eyes as well. What a beauty she is!!! Daughter and I are just drooling over her, we are so happy and glad for you. It sounds as if she's expressive and confident too, that makes for an interesting and lively companion.

Perhaps you could do a story like BT's sock monkey stories? Your grandchildren might love that, the e-story of your great Guinevere?

We are so happy for you both, pets bring such happy moments to our lives. Please keep us updated, more photos soon please !!!!!  :D

Louise, this is a beautiful cat.  I think it looks like its mother, beautiful, bright-eyed and sophisticated.

I like the name, Guinevere.  You have to have the rose by that name.  Incidentally, it is a low growing beautiful white roses with silvery pink etching that can easily be grown in a pot.  I grow it at the border like an annual or a perennial.

Louise,
I agree with all on here your baby is beautiful. A couple of things I question. I agree her eyes are gold not yellow. But her color you say is cream and silver. To me she looks champagne and pewter. Look at her again and see if you agree. LOL

Dear Monkeys,

Here is the latest batch of pics of Guinevere. Enjoy.

Love, Louise

(http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a272/LouiseVargas/DSC00907copy.jpg) She was sitting on my bedroom windowsill (you can see the screen) and I had the zoom on and got too close, but I love the pic. At least I got it in focus. And in that face, I see the adult Guinevere.

Do you think she has a future in modeling?

She sure seems to love the camera and she knows how to pose already and vary her poses.

Do you think she could be a calendar cat?
"I love, I love, I love my calendar girl
Yeah, sweet calendar girl
I love, I love, I love my calendar girl
Each and every day of the year
Yeah, yeah, my heart's in a whirl
I love, I love, I love my little calendar girl"

Years ago, my daughter gave my cats the yellow thing above for Hanukkah. I didn't want to deal with it so I put it in a closet. Today I got it out of the box and put it together. It is a battery operated toy called a Panic Mouse. The tail has a wand from which hangs a string with a mouse on the end. You can make it whirl around at different speeds. You should have seen her playing with it. It was hard to get a good pic as she was jumping around so fast. She really makes me laugh and I feel better now.

I took a series of pics of Romeo and Guinevere interacting but every time I call Romey's name to face the camera, he leaves the spot and comes over to me. I thought this one was cute and it shows the difference in their sizes. Romeo and Guinevere look like opposites. He is dark and big and she's small and light. Even though she is in a submissive stance, she is the alpha cat.

Louise, your new kitten is beautiful and we have3 a year old female that is black & white like Romeo.

Thanks, Sam, for pointing out her "true colors."

Thank you, 2NJSons_Mom. I'm happy you have a black and white cat. They are so lovely.

Klass, I previewed the pics before I posted but obviously I missed something!  I didn't realize the first pic was so big.

Thanks MeMere, my previous cat Hurricane was a computer cat, always sitting on my lap and trying to hit the keyboard.

My Guinevere is coming along just fine. She is chasing after Romeo all over the apartment. She jumps onto the table and when he casually walks by, she jumps on his back and then they both start running back and forth chasing each other at 100 mph. It really good for the 13 year old Romeo to be roused out of his sedentary lifestyle. Now he has to be on his toes and it will keep him young at heart and keep his body active.

I'm so glad I got her because she makes me laugh so much. My heart has been reawakened to love again.

Guinevere now knows her name. She is no longer afraid of me. All I have to do is look at her and talk to her and she is purring.

I am very happy and plan to get two more kittens in the upcoming months. Guinevere is my third Aries cat and I don't want any more of them. In a month, Taurus kittens will be available, after that Leos, and after that Virgo's.

Anyway, I'm happy

Dear Ono,

That was so funny, I am still laughing. I was gone all day so it's very possible Guinevere got on the computer and emailed you.

Isis was put down in February but in her younger days, she was the leader of the pack ... Sarafina, Hurricane (also both gone) and Romeo. At Xmas time I gave Isis the credit card to take the others Xmas shopping. But since Isis was Hispanic, she spent most of the money on tacos, chips and salsa. The others would say, "Now how are we gonna buy Xmas presents?" Well, somehow they managed to bring home some small gifts for my daughter and her dogs and me. I understand my daughter sent her dogs out with her credit card and they bought gifts for my cats and for her and for me. For all I know, both the cats and the dogs shopped on Rodeo Drive.

It was always so fun opening the gifts. There were so many silly ones. I remember Kristi's dogs got me socks one year and the cats got me a CD, my cats got Kristi bath gel, etc. Those were really fun days.

With love, Louise

Sleuth and Ono,

Thank you for clearing up something I was curious about for years.

Once I let Isis and the other three cats out the door with the credit card (they all had ID collars), I never knew how they got to the mall. Isis said not to worry, she arranged transportation and they would meet the driver down the street. I asked why the driver couldn't pick them up in front of the apartment and she just said "Trust me." She was smart so I trusted her.

That Isis was a pistol. I had no idea she hooked up with such a fancy car and driver. She must have asked the driver go to Kristi's house and pick up the dogs, Delia and Lucky and that's how they all went shopping together. Kristi didn't know either how they got to the mall.

Well, thank you so much for clearing up the mystery. Imagine that!  They rode around in a snappy red Lamborghini and I'm still driving my 2002 Honda Accord.

Yes...as I recall the talk around town was that Delia and Lucky also went along...(protection and designated drivers in case anyone imbibed a wee bit too much at the Plume & Paw Science Diet Wine Tasting)...I think they put off telling Kristi and then after time passed, they just forgot. Kristi did wonder however, who sent the case of merlot from the Science Diet Vineyards.

If you look closely in the picture, you will see their discussion regarding their late night escapades.

Sophie did less to conceal her wee hours misbehavings, her exact words were "go ahead and ground me, I'm too tired to care".

Stay tuned....... the girls just wanna have fun

Note to Nonsey:

Wiggles e-mailed me regarding these tell-all photos posted obtained from the Kitty Cat paparazzi squad and said that the real caption should be: "I am just too pooped from partying at Miss Louise's to care right now......yo, Rodeo Drive! I love Gucci! "....and Sophie post scripted:
"Who me? Are you kidding? I am totally purrfect..I have been home now for weeks.......You have the wrong kitty diva" ~ :D

All kittens are invited to my place to play and "partay"!

As Lionel Richie sang at the Los Angeles Summer Olympics in 1984 -
*********
All Night Long

Well my friends the time has come
To raise the rool and have some fun
Throw away the work to be done
Let the music play on ...
Everybody sing, everybody dance
Lose yourself in wild romance
We're going to Parti', Karamu', Fiesta, forever
Come on and sing along
We're going to Parti', Karamu', Fiesta, forever
Come on and sing along

All night long (all night), All night (all night)
All night long (all night), All night (all night)
All night long (all night), All night (all night)
All night long (all night), Ooh yeah (all night)

People dancing all in the street
See the rhythm all in their feet
Life is good, wild and sweet
Let the music play on ...
Feel it in your heart and feel it in your soul
Let the music take control
We're going to Parti', Liming, Fiesta, forever
Come on and sing along
We're going to Parti', Liming, Fiesta, forever
Come on and sing my song

All night long (all night), Ooh (all night)
All night long (all night), Yeaz (all night)
All night long (all night), Yeah (all night)
All night long (all night), ... (all night)

Yeah, once you get started you can't sit down
Come join the fun, it's a merry-go-round
Everyone's dancing their troubles away
Come join our party, SEE HOW WE PLAY!

(Chant)
Tom bo li de say de moi ya
Yeah, Jambo Jumbo
Way to parti' o we goin'
Oh, jambali
Tom bo li de say de moi ya
Yeah, JUMBO JUMBO!

Oh, O, O, O, Yes
We're gonna have a party, Yeah, ugh
All night long (all night), All night (all night)
All night long (all night), Yeaz (all night)
All night long (all night), All night (all night)
All night long (all night), Woah...

We're going to (Parti'), Oh (Karamu'), Yeah (Fiesta) forever
Come on and sing along
We're going to (Parti'), OOH (Karamu'), Yeah (Fiesta) forever
Come on and sing my song

All night long (all night), All night (all night)
All night long (all night), All night (all night)
All night long (all night), All night (all night)
All night long (all night), Ugh (all night)
All night (all night)
All night (all night)
All night (all night)
All night (all night)
All night (all night)
All night (all night)
All night (all night)
All night (all night), Ugh

Everyone you meet (all night)
They're jamming in the street (all night)
All night long (all night)
Yeah, I said (all night)
Everyone you meet (all night)
They're jamming in the street (all night)
All night long (all night)
Feel good, feel good (all night)
Feel good (all night)
All night long (all night)
Yeah (all night)
What more can I say (all night)
Let the music play (all night)
ALL NIGHT LONG (all night)

Send your cats over here. I have the best dry food, the best canned food (only made with human ingredients), clear water, a huge amount of toys, and very expensive catnip. Romeo and Guinevere want to share!

Louise-

I caught them just as they attempted to sneak from my home office with that nice big flat screen monitor/conference phone/ample seating - I saw Wiggles leap into that fruit basket and Sophie run toward the dining room thinking she could hide.

When will they learn we mommies know EVERYTHING? We see ALL

Now I'll go to bed with Lionel playing in my head, thanks a lot

all night long..........

Dear Nonsey,

Oh my - I didn't mean to give you an ear worm!

At least it wasn't "head on, apply directly to the forhead."
