We also saw that article yesterday about the suspect that got 6 years in jail for mutilating and illegally diposing of Pitbulls Body..Sure is a big difference then the 6 months and a 200 dollar fine that Joran faced to what he did to Natalee. I guess the difference in crimes was mutilating and burning someone already deceased :(

Letter to the Netherlands on detection methods allow

ORANJESTAD - With the declare of the Public Prosecutor (OM) in the Dominozaak Aruba has opened the door for all kinds of 'post legitimate investigative techniques. " This human rights organization Rainbow Warriors writes in a letter to four Kamercommissies Second in the Netherlands where she objects to this state of affairs.

"The court has itself indicate that there is no legal basis exists for the use of OVC methods (recording confidential communications, ed) like in the Netherlands which has been settled," said spokesman Milton Ponson.

In the United States, writes Rainbow Warriors, has grown day after 11 september 2001 objection raised by the American Civil Liberties Union "against de facto illegal methods used against unsuspecting civilians and afterwards by courts not to be dismissed provision of evidence. "

The OM already approved earlier in this newspaper that detection methods are used that are not yet legally regulated. However, they did so "in all openness and transparency," said Chief Hans Mos then. The legal settlement of the methods already lasts very long-a thorn in the eye of the OM which justice is limited in fighting crime. These detection methods, said the PPS, which in the Netherlands and countries with a similar legal system be used, especially against organised crime and terrorism.

Rainbow Warriors will find that even in the fight against organised crime is not true that "the purpose all means."

The judge ruled last Friday that the PPS is admissible in the case against one of the main defendants in the Dominozaak, despite the investigative methods used illegally. About the evidence obtained from the court has not yet pronounced judgement. This allows the court at a later stage still to decide this evidence not to leave because it was obtained illegally.

The first reports were his head was bashed in and his legs were caught off. They burned the body very badly and we do have a picture but it is horrific. There were no arrests made until the Family went public and then 4 people were arrested. As you know they said a cocaine ball burst in his stomach and they ruled it a suicide as he was a drug mule. They produced this long poem/goodbye letter that they gave to his wife/gf that they said was a suicide note..It should be at RWV somewhere. The main suspect got the longest sentence and the other 3 I believe 2-3 years and they all appealed.

The two psychics originally claimed that Lorenzo murdered him and then in that Press conference said his murder was witnessed by Edwin Croes. They came up with some BS  that he helped hide Natalee when Natalee's Family arrived in Aruba. We know he was Dompigs Ex Brother-Inlaw and Art Wood said he learned that he beat his ex wife. He was a bouncer at the Choose-a-name bar.

With so many people in Aruba being related like Dompig and the witness I wonder if that is why there have been no tipsters collecting a reward for information about Natalee. You know, you don't realise how impersonal the world is until you have a crisis. Then all of a sudden...you become "just another case". I always understood Beth and Jug and Dave's need to make the world understand that Natalee was not just another case!!! So much of the criticism Beth has received is from her need to portray the "real Natalee" That she was an extraordinary child and not just some drunken kid who decided to extend her vacation. The thing I most admire about Beth was that like my Mom, she KNEW her daughter!!! And she knew that something was WRONG right away because she KNEW her daughter and KNEW her character.
Too many moms now a days DON'T know their daughters. I think their own guilt is what causes them to this day to attack Beth as they do. But us mothers that KNOW our children, as Beth knew Natalee...KNOW!!!! that we instinctively would have known right away that "something bad had happened" and would have gone to the ends of the earth to first try and save our child..and when hope was lost...to bring justice to our child. It's why we are here three years later!!!
I feel my son is at risk right now. Fortunately, unlike Natalee's parents...I have the evidence to see he could possibly be forced into a situation where he is "at risk". How wonderful if all the parents who lost children had some sign before hand so they could protect their children!!! I have the foresight...so if something happens to my little guy...the blame is all on me. PLEASE PLEASE...say a prayer that I am half as effective as Beth and Jug and Dave were in establishing the facts to the authorities....and that I can prevent my little guy from entering into a dangerous situation.

Looks to me like they already detain everyone without charge.  Just "suspicions".  And we know what BS that is because they don't back it up.  They charge "kidnapping, murder, complicity" then say, "no, there is no evidence" for those they support, but can hold someone they don't like or want to keep quiet, for quite a while with the "suspicions".  There is no justice system in Aruba.  Just a bunch of cronies and corruption.

Caesu, I'm not sure I have seen anything in the last few days that indicates the real reason why the 4 th fleet is moving into position near Venezuela. There are a litany of reasons such as; - funding the FARC, (300 million dollars), laptops with ties to the FARC and Chavez, the leader of the FARC has died of a heart attack and it was announced earlier this week (he had control over the FARC for 40 years - most may have missed this due to the holiday)...drug trafficking, money laundering, and building ties with outlaw regimes.

but I suspect it's go time for Iran. I imagine this fleet was moved to prevent a counter strike by Venezuela in the event Iran is hit and hit hard. Venezuela has purchased several (I think 4) high tech diesel submarines and they have probably already arrived. Also purchased 22 billion in new fighter craft (not sure what only 22 billion buys these day - but - it's not going to be anything too high tech in my opinion) and they have rearmed with some soviet type M-1 - M-16s.

Wherever I read a blurb about Renee Gielen, it is usually followed by "best know for her her work on the Bon Futuro prison".  There is much information on Curacao's Bon Futuro prison, however nothing I have found is credited to Renee Gielen.  Wherever her work is found, it is definitely not widely accessible.

I read on your website that among other things, as I Aruban PG in the crucial first ten days after the disappearance of Natalee Holloway have ruined the case.

I gave you earlier pointed out that this is contrary to the truth and I've asked you to stop untruths to proclaim.

I will again say how things really works. Natalee is the night of 29 on May 30, 2005 disappeared. I was up to June 6, the first eight days after the disappearance, in the Netherlands. I do have those days during telephone contact with hovj Janssen and I've told her several times that those three boys, whose last with her and had let persist. Her answer was that those boys were first draught, because otherwise the police had "nothing to the hearing to go". When I returned in Aruba, I told her again that those who had boys persist. Her answer was that they were waiting on video from the Netherlands, because the questioning of the boys would be included on the video. Never before has a hearing in Aruba on the video. Why that had to happen now, could not be made clear to me. I was against, because the police never previously had included video interviews and had no experience with this method of questioning.

But as you now do, when I was appointed as the culprit of that disastrous first ten days, while I have nothing to do with it. The first eight days, I was not even in Aruba. The hovj Janssen for me as ai PG and they took the decisions. I have never throughout the investigation had contact with Commissioner van der Straten, either personally or by telephone ..

I'm never hovj by Janssen was informed of the planned arrest of the two guards. I've had this in the Netherlands on television. I was never made clear why these two guards were arrested, because there was no indication that they were involved in the disappearance of Natalee. They are never to draught "to have something to the hearing to go".

I would be grateful if you have a correction on your website and places where you are in the future would refrain from proclaim untruths.

Nooit eerder is in Aruba een verhoor op de video opgenomen. Waarom dat nu moest gebeuren, kon mij niet duidelijk gemaakt worden. Ik was er tegen, omdat de politie nooit eerder video-verhoren had opgenomen en geen ervaring hadden met deze wijze van verhoren.

Maar zoals u nu ook doet, werd ik toen aangewezen als de schuldige van die rampzalige eerste tien dagen, terwijl ik daar helemaal niets mee te maken heb. De eerste acht dagen was ik niet eens in Aruba. De hovj Janssen verving mij als wnd P-G en zij nam de beslissingen. Ik heb nooit gedurende het gehele onderzoek contact gehad met commissaris van der Straten, noch persoonlijk, noch telefonisch..

Ik ben nooit door hovj Janssen op de hoogte gesteld van de voorgenomen aanhouding van de twee bewakers. Ik heb dit in Nederland op de televisie gezien. Mij is ook nooit duidelijk gemaakt waarom deze twee bewakers aangehouden moesten worden, want er was geen enkele aanwijzing, dat zij betrokken waren bij de verdwijning van Natalee. Ze zijn ook nooit getapt om "iets te hebben om het verhoor in te gaan".

Ik zou het zeer op prijs stellen indien u een rectificatie op uw website zou plaatsen en indien u zich in de toekomst zou onthouden van het verkondigen van onwaarheden.

Anyone know where we can find Renee Gielen's important documentaries on the Bon Futuro Prison?  You know, the work she is most known for. I can't find them, or mention of this work by anyone.  Surely there is some where they can be viewed, or at least some critical acclaim.  I can't find one word about these important documentaries.

Can anyone point me to this important work?  I certainly can find lots of information from others regarding Bon Futuro, but not Renee Gielen. 

Perhaps her important work is out there and she is not getting proper credit for it?  It shouldn't be so difficult to find.

On July 3, 2007, the Netherlands Antilles newspaper Amigoe reported on a documentary video being produced by Renée Gielen, previously best known for exposé documentaries about Curacao's Bon Futuro prison. The video was based in part on interviews with Dompig and with Renfro.

According to interviews done in preparation for the film, Aruban authorities had been systematically obstructed in their investigation by the FBI and other American authorities. They also indicate that within a day of Holloway being declared missing, a medjet, unauthorized by Aruban authorities, had arrived on Aruba and had remained for several days. They further indicate that, while the purpose of the medjet was not even known to its crew and medical personnel, it was in fact to spirit Holloway off the island if she were freed from a drug house in Oranjestad. Holloway's departure was to be covert and without notice to local authorities.[148]

The article states that Renfro and Beth Twitty received a phone call from an unknown woman on June 2, 2005. That woman was offering information about Holloway's location and the information that Holloway was still alive but was unwilling to return to her mother. Further information was offered for $4,000. Twitty was unwilling to pay more than $1,000 for the information, and in fact did not pay anything. Believing there was a good chance of finding Holloway, Renfro and another American went to the drug house where Holloway supposedly was, bringing money. However, they found that Jug Twitty had already been to the area, spreading "a lot of uproar and panic in the direct vicinity", and nothing could be accomplished.[148] They blamed Jug Twitty for the failure.[148] The same story, in less detail, appears in the Vanity Fair article.[27]

Further, according to Amigoe's report on the interviews, Aruban authorities were obstructed at the highest level in their attempts to investigate Holloway's relatives, and they received very limited cooperation in their attempts to question Holloway's fellow graduates.[148]

The cuts come less than a week after Fort Worth, Texas-based American outlined a plan to cut costs in the face of skyrocketing fuel prices. The company said it would cut domestic capacity by 11%, eliminate 85 aircraft from its fleet and lay off thousands of employees by the fourth quarter. On Wednesday, American also announced plans to cease flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and London’s Stansted Airport, less than a year after launching the route.

American will continue to offer four flights between JFK and San Juan, but other destinations seem to be ceded in part to rival JetBlue Airways Corp., which launched service from JFK to St. Lucia and the Dominican Republic in 2004.

Still, even Queens-based JetBlue is facing the crunch. Shares of the discount carrier hit an all-time low Wednesday after JetBlue said it will slow the growth of its fleet and delayed purchasing 21 Airbus jetliners for five years.

Letter to the Netherlands about the admission of investigation method

ORANJESTAD – With declaring the OM admissible in the Domino-case, Aruba has opened the door for all sorts of ‘subsequent legitimized investigation techniques’, writes the human rights organization Rainbow Warriors in a letter to four Lower House committees in the Netherlands, objecting this state of affairs.

“The judge self has indicated that there is no legal basis for the use of OVC-methods (recording confidential communication, red.), like the Netherlands has”, said spokesperson Milton Ponson.

According to Rainbow Warriors, after September 11, 2001, the American Civil Liberties Union in the United States has been complaining for years against “illegal methods used against unsuspecting citizens and afterwards not dismissed by the courts for the supply of evidence”.

Rainbow Warriors wonder whether double standards are ‘officially’ being applied in the Dutch Royal Kingdom, because the EVRM (European Treaty for the Human Rights) and other treaties (that protects the privacy of the citizens, red.) also apply in Aruba.

The organization wonders what to expect after this: “(…) in custody without reason; unauthorized telephone tabs by Setar personnel – something that Diario claims and also we have the suspicion that this happens big time for quite some time already – (…); and the hacking of PCs and laptops of citizens in Aruba?”

Rainbow Warriors also criticizes the fact that there is still no privacy legislation in Aruba that protects the personal data of citizens.  The government announced in December of 2006 that in cooperation with the Neth.Antilles, Aruba is working on a privacy law, which is to this day not yet ready.  The OM acknowledged earlier in this paper that investigation methods are being used that are legally not laid down by law yet.  However, this takes place “open and transparent”, said chief public prosecutor Hans Mos at that time.  But laying down methods by law takes a long time, which limits justice in combating criminality.  These methods are being used in the Netherlands and other countries with a comparable legal system.

it's a damned shame the a.c.l.u. and rainbow warriors, and other like organizations can't devote their time and energy to protecting the innocent and defenseless people in the world instead of worrying about working to make l.e.'s job tougher than it all ready is.

Chunkie rat, and one of his side kicks has been alluding to a comeback. Supposedly they are going to post in the "other paper" some of the angry posts that have been made towards Aruba to counter our Diario page. Did anyone else pick up on that?

I agree that Natalee's mother should have thought twice before tossing her child into a bed of sharks... What a preventable shame and loss on her part. So far, Natalee is the only missing unsolvable teen missing from Aruba, hopefully parents will think twice about sending their children, who are not even old enough to drink in their own country, on an all-inclusive prepaid drinking trip to another country where it is allowed. And to top it off, without adult supervision or even a buddy system in place.

Odd how they blame the Aruban Athorities, when it was her friends and chaperones who fled the island before reporting her missing to the Police.

YES it says FOund at lighthouse, Pair of kswiss size large found at the base of the cell tower of digicell by someone unnamed who found them and remembered that in the missing N.H. case there was something about search for K Swiss sneakers.  Diario was very much surprised about the found sneakers, as they thought that this area had been previously searched.   

I hope it was sent for forensic tests.  But they also look so clean for being out exposed to the elements for the past 3 years ?  Anyone else think so also?  Is this a joke or are they really JOrans.

That shoe was obviously put there recently and I do not care,as long as though those are really Jorans shoes and they have forensic evidence on them. Appears these pics were taken in daylight and they were just posted now.
