I don't remember ever hearing LE say the pings were actually a false lead. 

IF the pings are reliable, I would love to know what time on the 17th her phone was pinging to that wooded area. They didn't say it, but, to me, that area looked like alligators could live there.

Probably just another lie, or if she had a 2nd phone it was not a blackjack...

I haven't, but I would think police could check that out. Surely you could track down the company supplying the service and look up the contract for it.

Those phone cards only buy minutes, right? Or can you buy a card for the whole thing? Well, even if she did, wouldn't a credit card be used to set up the service? That would be traceable.

I'm not sure but I don't get it it if she used both phones on the same number just switching Sim cards the phone records would contain the same info, unless she had a seperate number then there would be a seperate phone record I'm sure somebody can come forward, and confirm if she had 1 or 2 phone numbers.....switching sim cards would not change phone records the phone company would have no clue that she switched phones

Eyewitness News Reveals Remote Area Where Casey Made Calls

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Woods and water are the perfect place to hide a body and the one place no one reported Casey Anthony ever visited until now. Channel 9 uncovered what could be a major break in the Caylee Anthony case.

June 17 is the day after little Caylee was last seen alive and it's the same date that Eyewitness News tracked Casey Anthony's location to an area near the Orlando International Airport. From a satellite map the dense woods and ponds around the airport. The more information investigators get, the more locations come into the picture.

Channel 9 has learned that the day after Caylee disappeared, Casey was in a somewhat remote area just a few miles from the Anthonys' home. Channel 9 has learned documents show that, for some reason, Casey Anthony came to the area less than ten minutes and less than five miles from her parents' Lee Vista home. There are acres of woods and scrub and there's lots of water. By day, there's very little traffic that comes through the area and not much lighting at night.



Eyewitness News tracked Casey Anthony's location to an area near the Orlando International Airport.
 
Channel 9 has obtained maps showing how many AT&T cell phone towers there are in two key areas investigators are focused on. There are 15 cell towers within a ten mile radius of Caylee Anthony's grandparents' house, where Caylee's grandfather said he last saw her alive on the afternoon of June 16.

There are 37 AT&T cell phone towers within ten miles of the apartment where Casey said she last saw Caylee alive on June 9, sometime between 9:00am and 1:00pm when she dropped Caylee off with the babysitter on her way to work.

Casey lied about the date and the cell phone records are helping investigators find out what else Caylee's mother has lied about.

It's known that Casey had no job and that Caylee did not disappear on June 9. Caylee's grandmother had stuck with Casey's version about June 9 until detectives confronted Cindy Anthony with video she herself had taken of Caylee during a visit with her great-grandfather in Mount Dora on Father's Day, June 15.

"I couldn't remember going on father's day because I go almost every week but I don't take Caylee that often," Cindy Anthony said during Casey's bond hearing.

"Are you lying to investigators? Purposely misleading them?" WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked Cindy on Thursday.

Cindy didn't reply verbally, but shook her head.

So Rob thinks Caylee is near the apartments and not hidden that well.  I dont remember him saying that before.  Is there anyone here that can show a map of that or it is in the map section???

A sim card is a card (chip) that you put in your phone that has all of your information, like your phone number.  It's your ID for the phone.

Greta, I am a semi-retired Deputy District Attorney from California. Regarding the Casey Anthony case, if I were the DA at the bail hearing/posting tomorrow, I would argue that MS Anthony is not entitled to bail as the offense that MS Anthony is involved in is still an ongoing offense. I had a similar situation on a child abduction case that I prosecuted where the biological father took his children to his mother(victim’s grandmother who was living in Mexico) in violation of court orders. I kept him in jail until the children were returned to their mother(who had legal custody of the children). You might want to bring that up to the DA in charge of the case and your panel. Thank you, Klaas! So, switching cards wouldn't really change anything as far as tracking? I think Casey just made up the other phone when she realized that the answers she was giving Lee about calls from the babysitter and Caylee wouldn't show up on her phone as recieved or dialed numbers.

It's a little card you put in the back of your phone, like a ID card..I have one in my phone and I have switched it back and forth at times, like if my phone goes dead or one time i dropped my phone and broke it you just take it out of the back and put it in the other phone and it works.

So here is where I am at.

Klaas...we talked the other day about the 16th. I can't remember the details...but from my short memory...George leaves about 3...Casey makes 1st phone call at 3:30? to George> My guess was to see if he had left the house

Shortly after the "cluster" of phone calls begin...time line was just too short to me for something to have happened the 16th.
Can we bring the timeline forward again.

Now PLEASE comment this time!!! lol

Casey HAD to have  had a babysitter!! Who..we don't know...but I don't believe for 2 years she was just driving Caylee around in a car while everyone thought she was working at Universal.

So she is pissed at Cindy and George...they are controlling her...she met a great guy she wants to give all of her attention to...so she drops Caylee off with some yahoo. She wants to get even with Cindy for controlling her..and she needs "a vacation"...and time to sucker Tony in.

I say this because it just seems implausible to me that  Caylee passes away on Mon, Tues, Wed or Thursday..and she is out living it up on Friday...that bothers me!!! Even the psychopath joran was frantic the next few days covering his tracks!!

So I still believe..she left Caylee with SOMEONE!!! with the intention of picking her up in a week or two later...after she got to Cindy...and after she got her man...and when she went to pick up Caylee...that is when she finds...that either Caylee disappeared with the babysitter...or she found Caylee dead...man that hurts to say that. THUS...no smell of decomp when George opens the trunk when he is looking for t=a tool...but smell of decomp when they find the car. So Casey goes to pick up Caylee...and finds her deceased...freaks...disposes of her and the car.

I am so sorry...can't remember who brought this up...but I do believe if Caylee had died by accident with Casey..she WOULD have called 911 right away...and would have hammed up the attention as the grieving mother.

The sim card has location chip that tells your carrier "what " phone you're using as well. It won't be on the phone record/bill, but it is in their database....how do I know this?
We have 4 cell phones, and if I go online to upgrade 1 of them, when I type in the # it tells me which phone currently has that sim card associated with that phone.....

I think you may be right...I feel like the flurry of calls was when casey went back to get Caylee she was gone she panicked maybe though the parents had her maybe thought the babysitter took her, but I think at this point she was worried but didn't think anything of it.. Maybe she did go out That Friday but I don't think their is any pictures of her out partying after that just that one night right? so who knows what she was doing for those 3 weeks after the pictures.

Klaasend, do you remember Rob saying that.  Because he never forgets anything so I'm wondering what led him to believe that?

It's interesting and does account for Casey's demeanor somewhat. Nothing really accounts for it, because if she knew her daughter was missing or dead, I just don't know how she could function at all. But, then, Casey is a piece of work.  It also accounts for the smell of decomposition. If your scenario is what happened, then there's a story in itself in who Casey was leaving Caylee with and why she told no one who it was, and how and why Caylee died in this person's company.

I know you do Klaas...but it bothers me she had the same kind of activity the 18th. I think it was just her pattern...I want to talk and I want to talk NOW!!! That is why it bothers me we only have the history of those 2 days. As deep as they have dug into this case...no one REALLy know Casey at all!!! imho

you know what else bugs the crap out of me...somehow I missed the discussion about the 40-45k on the credit cards. Can anyone bring that forward...was it just rumor or did Cindy mention it? I never figured out where it was coming from. And what was the time frame. Look...I am a single Mom with a little Monkey in private school...not hard to spend 45k raising a Monkey...but it IS if they the Monkey is 2 and you are getting free room and board and no utilities. no car payment, no health insurance, no car insurance,  and Grandma is buying clothes and food. What the heck was she buying. That is A LOT of money when you have no bills!!!!!

24th...Cindy has not seen her grandbaby in a few weeks and she is upset!!! Casey goes home for something...what?? But she is still very casual in going home...as if nothing is amiss...doesn't want George to look in the trunk because she has stolen his gas...but no body..no clothes..no backpack..and no decomp smell.

So in my mind...what ever went wrong...happened some time between the 24th and the 27th...and I believe in my heart...it involves=d a third person.

Just because George didn't mention a smell doesn't mean there wasn't one.  Also, if bodily fluids were left in the car but the body was long gone, the bodily fluids would continue to decompose and smell worse as time went by.

But if she passed on the 16th...by the 24th I would think it would smell pretty darned bad...Florida weather. I know everyone does not like George...but he was a cop...and I would think instinct would cause a knee jerk reaction if he smelled anything remotely like decomp. No matter what you say about George and Cindy...I believe they loved Caylee heart and soul...and if they had not seen Caylee..in what...15th through the 24th-ish..9 days...and he smelled decomp in the trunk...I would tend to think he would freak.

I'm going to use an example and it will be a horrible one.  Please excuse me for doing this but I need to explain this somehow.

1.  I buy a roast beef at the grocery store and put it in my trunk.  It's wrapped in that butcher wrap.

2.  Something happens and I totally forget that it's in the trunk until the next day and it's seeped out of the butcher wrap.  I remove it and throw it away but don't have time to actually clean the carpet in the trunk.

3.  As the days go by the smell gets worse and worse until you can actually smell it inside the passenger area of the car.

From what I know about decomp..and I know little...other than the mouse that died in my glue trap one fall in my closet I forgot to check...whole nother story!!! YUCK!!! Had to throw away my favorite leather jacket...and every other coat I owned...oops....got side tracked!!

Sorry...had never had mice before...very traumatic fall for me!! lol

What I know about decomp...from my mouse experience and CSI and true crime shows...I would think from the 16th until the 24th...George would know.

I hope you know I am being honest...although humorous...only way for me to get through this without staying up all night...I am not trying to be obstinate...or cause problems...I am serious in that this really causes me problems with the theory that something happened the 16th or 17th. I gotcha. There is no way to pull this thread without continuing the graphic nature, but I have one follow up question. Let's say Caylee died in the pool. She drowned. There was no blood or urine. In your example, let's say the roast was in a ziplock bag, kinda like Caylee would be in her skin. Would there be fluids somehow created if she were in the car for an hour or two? I honestly am curious about it because I don't know how to figure out the pieces around the smell unless I know. TIA!

ldstlou - I will agree with you that George should have smelled something on 6/24, if a dead person had been in the car on 6/16 and the car smelled like it on 7/15.   That is if he actually got close enough to smell anything and if what happened on 6/24 is true.

This is confusing to me as well. I wonder if the gas cans in the car might have masked a smell of decomposition. I carry gas cans in the car trunk when filling up the seadoo, and I can't hardly stand the drive either to or from the gas station! Even empty, they reek!

I think it was only 3 or 4 days in the fridge..in a cold fridge...before it stunk so bad I had to throw everything in the fridge away.

From the 16th to the 24th...I would think it would be really bad in that car.

School officials in Orange, Seminole, Brevard, Osceola and Polk, Sumter counties have announced that public schools will be closed Tuesday because of Tropical Storm Fay.

Lake County schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Marion County schools will be closed on Tuesday and  Wednesday.

Would seem that providing a license # to the insurance provider would be necessary for there to be coverage on the adult daughter, as uninsured driver's coverage only applies if it is the vehicle that collides with the covered vehicle, not an uninsured driver of your vehicle, as I understand it.

On the smell of decomposition, everybody has a different sense of smell, I have a brother in law that smells NOTHING & I mean NOTHING, so we would have to know what Mr. Anthony's smell abilities are & then we would have to know if he were telling the truth or the whole story.

That really happened to me once, but it was a chicken in the back of my jeep. Oh mercy did it stink to high heaven. First thing I did was toss it out the window and rolled all windows down. It took several cleanings, and the smell got less, but it was weeks before that sickening smell went away.

Okay...so that is where Nancy Gross got lost too...the sim card blackjack debacle...the thing is she said she had just purchased the phone a week or so ago..it had problems holding a charge ( probably should have been returned to the AT&T store that she purchased it from...hmm who might remember seeing her and who was with her etc...but more importantly the GP's should be able to find out exactly when that phone was added to their account and any additional info about the purchase..whether a SIM was supplied with the phone, a different number..etc...it was THEIR account and they paid the bill...they would have had to approve adding the phone to their line/plan...just thinking out loud..lol)...soooo back to the original deal...it won't stay charged..She decided well I will just go back to using my old phone...sticks the lil sim card back in the lil Nokia or whatever she had and on her merry way she goes....the thing is once she removes that SIM card from her blackjack it is no longer pingable...no longer trackable...so they cant find the phone any other way at this point except to stumble accross it in a wet, damp corner of some woodsy area...BUT the calls she made/recieved with the blackjack while it had her original SIM card plugged into it would be on her cell phone records..no hiding anything there...the tricky thing is the information stored on that card vs on the phone...another grain of truth from Ms Anthony..I was impressed when I heard it...you have a choice as to whether to store the number on the phone or on the card itself..some phones let you choose..some choose for you...but only the info stored on that chip moves with you to the next phone...I encountered this myself when we just purchased a couple new phones for our account and I switched the SIM from my old phone to a new Samsung...I "lost" about 75% of my info stored on the phone...now I can retrieve it very simply by putting that SIM card back into the other phone...Sooo IF they ever find a blackjack they can put her SIM in it to see if there is really any additional info on it that she claims she had but is not accessible to her (or LE since they must have her phone) at this time...

Shooo...that is a lot of casey style hooey...LOL

No wonder Nancy face got so flustered...LOL

Short version...if there is another phone..its not traceable with no SIM and they need her SIM card to see what other info is on the phone...might be some more cool pix on it too...LMAO...

I still need to catch up...but somehow I missed the additional items recovered by the websleuth team on the 17th...man I was starting to think the items from the 16th were not related since after a closer look they looked "mannish" and the backpack didn't look as close a match as before etc...but a GAS CAN....ermmmm that threw up a few flags for me..I mean what are the odds....very close to where she ditched the car...she has a history of stealing gas cans and whalaaaaaa what do we have here tossed in the woods but a trusty red gas can....hurry up LE and test these items...I wanna know if we are gettin close to the source of Case-face's evil unravelling...Not that I woudn't like to see Taco Padillo take a peek err I mean crack at her azz on 24/7 surveillance and see what she mumbles in her sleep....

My guess is the home phone is the hold up. Most phones have call waiting, call forwarding etc. Absolutely no features are allowed to be on a phone when an ankle bracelet is used. It takes a couple of days to have that service changed.

KISSIMMEE -- Monday night could be Casey Anthony's last night in jail.

The mother of missing Caylee Anthony, 3, has been behind bars sine July 16 on child neglect charges.

However, bounty hunter Leonard Padilla said he has arranged to bond the 22-year-old out of jail.
   
He was hoping to get her out Monday, but said it will be at least Tuesday before she is released.

Padilla maintains getting Casey out of jail is the best way to find Caylee.

"She lied to the cops. She lied to everybody. I think initially she will not tell the truth, but I think she's going to have a situation where she's sitting at home grandma's there, which is her mom, so lets just say she has absolutely no feeling but just a little and she says ‘hey here's who has the baby,’ said Leonard Padilla.

While Padilla plans to post bond for Casey Tuesday, but it may be later in the week before she will get out of jail.

Cell phone PINGS can be very misleading as to location. A friend of mine lives in Niagara Falls, NY. He is with a major cell company that starts with a V. His bill at times would come in around $600 per month. The bill would be full of roaming charges inn Canada. He was never in Canada on those dates. He called customer service and they explained that when your phone looks for a tower, it picks the first tower that is not busy. A tower can only handle so many calls at any given time. So, towers across the falls in Canada were picking him up as if he were in Canada. So he got international roaming charges. Of course they always credit his charges, but he still gets them. GPS in most cell phones is not via satellite. It is the triangulation method of location.

 Assisted GPS (AGPS)

Some cell phones can receive ephemeris information on the GPS satellites, which speeds up the initial position fix. AGPS information may also help in finding satellites and getting positions in difficult conditions. To have AGPS features, your services must be set up to provide AGPS information to your cell phone and your cell phone must be able to process AGPS information.

We're having lots of cell phone questions, and it sounds like we need to talk to Metro.

That is true. I live in Buffalo just a few blocks from the Peace Bridge into Canada. I constantly get picked up by Roger's, which is a Canadian cell service. The charges are reversed but it's a pain. The closer I am to the lake or the river, the more apt I am to get those charges from Canada. My phone company explained that the cell towers in Fort Erie Canada are actually closest to me and that's why it picks them up while roaming. I suppose if anyone triangulated my phone, it would look like I was in Canada, but that  really only reinforces the theory of where Casey was. The closest cell tower would pick her up.

Praying, She might not have purchased the Blackjack through AT&T.... she could have bought it at a flea market,or one of those little stands on the mall, or somewhere else, you can even purchase them through e-bay as long as it says for AT&T on it, it will work. I only know this cause my son has alot of friends at his high school who have really expensive phones that they purchase at the flea market and put their SIM cards in them .....

I am hoping that the storm will stir something up and actually help in the search for Caylee..

I'm flip flopping again on my beliefs. The ONLY reason I say this is, I am genuinely concerned that LE doesn't have anything on the forensic biologicals from the trunk.

The prosecutor & LE want Casey to remain in jail. That's a given. If they had any evidence that led to the belief that Caylee were in that trunk dead, I believe they would have used it to keep her in jail. They still may do that and I'll flip flop again. For now though, I am seriously thinking that the bio's were negative and they just don't have anything to charge her with a higher count. It seems like Baez is a little more sure of himself as well.

While I respect your opinion regarding George ldstlou, the problem with the bolded comments above is that we have no way of knowing what George's reaction ACTUALLY was other then what we have been told...and there's no way to know whether what we have been told is the truth or not. It's very possible that George DID freak but doesn't want that part known. It's JMHO but I always try to remember that George and Cindy have not proven to be entirely truthful thus far and for that reason I don't give what they say a lot of weight when considering actual facts, and I will freely admit that not being able to believe George and Cindy saddens me. The scenario regarding the gas cans clinched it for me as far as believing what George says. He has his own motives and we do not and cannot know for sure what they are at this point. I do believe he loves(d) Caylee, I have no doubt about that. But I also believe he loves his daughter Casey, and IMO he does/has lied to her benefit. Therefore, for me, red flags go up regarding anything he says.

The only reason for LE to withhold POSITIVE DNA evidence would be for the psychological warfare they are using on Casey. At the moment she is free, or almost free, they would file the additional charges. They are trying to wear her down and break her spirit. It is an old game they are playing, George knows it. But, by her not being in the general population in jail it could seem like another mini vacation for Casey. Jail sux no matter what. I wonder if LE is still questioning her, or just letting her stew????

Hey CBB thanks for the smile! I have some gay friends also, a couple, who are among my closest and best friends. They watch over me, and care about me when Im not sure anyone else on the planet does. They are wonderful at sharing, and showing affection. I am the last person anyone would expect to be included in the social circle of gay men because I am almost a recluse...I work at home doing medical transcription, and live pretty far out in the country...thus I dont get around much. I DO enjoy auctions and used to attend several regularly, which is where I met  "my two guys" and before long they just adopted me, and I will be forever grateful that they did. They say it was fate and I suppose it was.  When my air conditioning when out they had it replaced before I could even get the insurance check back and buy another. When a tree fell through my bedroom ceiling during a storm they had it repaired inside and out immediately after the insurance man came for inspection and wouldnt take the insurance money for payment. When the motor blew in my car I couldnt afford to have it fixed right away, I had to save for the repairs first. They would have none of that...they brought me their extra vehicle which I ended up having to use for quite a while. I could go on and on...but my point is...it's really neat to be able to say I love two men...hahaha

There you have it. Cell tower location is just a "ballpark". It has been useful in kidnapping cases. There was one where they located the victim by using the "pings". LE just staked out the area. It happens very quickly with a court order from LE to the service provider.

Either LE is playing this all very close to the vest, or they have nothing...

My thoughts exactly, we can't be sure that he even opened the trunk.  When he was telling the story about it, I thought he had made it up.  Have you ever heard the saying - TELL ONE LIE and YOU HAVE TO TELL ANOTHER.  I quoted that so many times to my children when they were growing up.  Here's another one - A HALF TRUTH IS A WHOLE LIE.  Casey learned how to lie from someone.  The whole family lies.

how does anyone explain two different cadaver dogs getting the same hits in the trunk?

Tomm - I know you are new here - but I learned a good deal about DNA during the Madeleine McCann case. I'm no expert by any means. LOL ..

Two different cadaver dogs means the LE wanted to be sure before they checked the DNA themselves. I'm sure they could probably smell it also, but that's not good enough.

Confirmation by two different dogs MEANS THERE WAS BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL PRESENT.

The biological material is collected in the form of a swab or other means.

but, before the swab is collected it under goes a blue light to look and double check they are concentrating on the correct area. The area of interest is sometimes very small and can not be seen with your eyeball. Biological material will give off a luminescences.

Then the swab is collected and processed. Several swabs are collected from the area of interest and there are also swabs collected from a control area for comparison. The CSI guys look for the markers common to Caylee and Casey - the Mitochondrial DNA that is passed between mother and child only. As we know the LE went back to the house and collected some of Caylee's items. These were suspected to be her hair brush and possibly her tooth brush. Now, why would the LE need a comparison if they had nothing to compare it to? - so, they do have the DNA from the trunk. I'm sure they do - the question is - is it Caylee's or someone else's?

It wasn't because he would see those gas cans....She has stolen gas cans before...Heck, she has stolen from them to the tune of 45K and she is worried about what he would think about $50 worth of gas and cans?  Nawww, not buying it.

Why does it take so long to get DNA results back in the real world?  CSI does it in less than an hour every week?  Is there no preliminary report or anything that is faster than weeks?  I know about how long it takes to do HLA typing and I understand it takes a week or so.  Mainly, it's the need for the lab tech or in some cases the genetics specialist to organize chromosomes, but there was always a prelim report of blood type, fluid ID, etc...my experience in this was over 15 years ago, so surely things have progressed to a faster pace by now.  Just thinking out loud...no need to answer me.

Why even tell the trunk story to begin with?  The less George said would have been better. Casey wasn't telling about the gas cans in the trunk, so why the need to open that can of worms?

Yup why would she care about gas cans?Didnt Cindy even say as long as Casey says sorry and puts them back, that they didn't care. Also maybe there was nothing in the trunk except a RANCID SMELL.

Mrs. Kub, the DNA can also be replicated - I didn't post that info, because it will make everyone's eyes glaze over.

if the sample is very very small - too small for multiple DNA checks, it can be replicated to ensure they have enough material to do quite a few test and rule out an error on the first test.

I still think they are waiting to drop that bomb of murder 1 on Casey. The psychological tearing down of someone is nothing new. I think LE has her where they want her (in jail).  I think that they are methodically building their case and won't charge her with the more serious charges (Murder) until they have to.    I really hope they rearrest her in the jail parking lot.

Oh and I forgot - Good morning all!

I think they have some DNA tests back too.  I also believe that LE is being VERY careful to gather other evidence and build this case.  They want to be sure that when this does go to trial, they have the proof to win the case and put Casey away.

I don't think they want to charge her yet because if they do, IIRC, LE will have to share all the evidence they have thus far.  They are not ready to do that yet.

Maybe the trunk story was made up to cover for the fact she borrowed a shovel to break into the shed.  To try to convince everyone thats what the shovel was used for, just to break into the shed to steal gas.  And viola!!  There are the gas cans in the trunk to prove it.

I'm still having problems with the gas cans being stolen.  Why would George report the can stolen?  Maybe so the damage was covered by insurance, but I'm not buying that.  There would have had to be a deductible, probably more than the cost of repair and a lock would be.  If in fact as some say it was to teach casey a less of tough love...how did the stolen gas can police report accomplish that at all?  The police report was very vague, not even the date the "event" took place, no prints, nothing at all to help solve WHO did the break in.  So just filing a report would not teach casey anthing at all.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- With celebrity bounty hunter Leonard Padilla in Orlando working out details to bail Casey Anthony out of jail, sources tell Channel 9 it could be at least Tuesday before she is released. If Casey is released, an associate of Padilla will live with her 24 hours a day, seven days a week, trying to get more information about missing Caylee Anthony.

Sacramento bounty hunter Leonard Padilla called himself a media whore, and said coming to Orlando could be a win-win situation. In addition to getting national media exposure, he says he might even be able learn Caylee Anthony’s whereabouts.

"She's going to have to trust somebody or she's going to be sitting in jail for a long time, said Padilla."

He thinks Casey will trust him because of his experience in dealing with similar situations over the past 33 years.

He says his nephew, Tony Padilla, the bail bondsman from California, is working through a Tampa-based bail bondsman to finalize the deal to post Casey Anthony's $500,000 bond. And he says he will pay the 50-thousand dollar fee to the Tampa bail bondsman out of the goodness of his heart.

It is really a strange mix of emotions... we were exstatic Jake was getting his heart, but felt guilty that someone had to die for him to live.We all were grieving someone we didn't even know...

IF Geoge was the nanny she left Caylee with and something terrible happened, and IF you keep that always in your mind going thru this case from the very beginning.  It all fits rather nicely right up until the last visit he had with casey.  It also brings some "truth" to what casey has been saying all along.  This is ONLY my opinion, and I am very heavily leaning in this direction.  I in no way believe Cindy knew anything about this until she made the 911 calls.  However, there are things that make me believe George knew from very early on. 

klaas...,I don't know what it means in regards to this case if anything, I don't even have time to stick around to find out if it is all true, but I do know that Jesus Ortiz has been discussed as possibly being Caylee's biological father....

Casey did state that Zenaida worked as a part time or seasonal employee at Universal but LE found that to be untrue. They had no record of anyone by that name ever working there.

Personally I think it's BS.  If they (dreamindemon) believe that's Zenaida then they should let LE know so LE can talk to Zenaida.

I have wondered this too..George or Casey who hurt Caylee...I flip on this sometimes, because George is very strange and sometimes I still don't want to believe Casey is so cold hearted..But well sometimes I dont know...

I don't think this is connected to Casey or Caylee, but is the ESTATE of Ortiz that is pending final settlement. I found a bunch of records that say everything relating to him is pending due to final closure. Closing an Estate can take some time as creditor are allowed time to file for any monies owed.

Seeing as he was 21 at time of death and did not have a much of an Estate, it seems like a long time to allow it to remain open. It probably has something to do with college loans.

The mother - Olga is the beneficiary, if there is anything left over after the debts are settled. She would receive all of his worldly possession, minus what is needed to settle outstanding debts.

I don't believe it either, just what I read...Unfortunately I believe Caylee has passed on..It all frustrating right now.I think people are just wanting some answers..

sorry, meant to add - this could be the rent he owed the landlord and there is a debt incurred by the decedent.

Ummm I don't believe there are any women on death row in Florida at this time. The last woman on death row there was Virginia Larzelere, and she had her sentence commuted on August 1st 2008 to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 25 years.

This post really got to me today.  My granddaughter lives with me and gets lots of kisses and hugs daily and many times she falls asleep with me.  I do not know how I would function if she were missing.  Her daddy is coming to Denver for a few days to spend some time with her and I'm dreading how quite and strange the house will be without her in it for four days.  My daughter and I have both cried about little Caylee and we squeeze Avery tight and promise to keep her safe.  She is a very young mother and is not able to raise her baby on her own yet, but I know that she would die for that baby, as would I.  This case makes no sense at all and it just breaks my heart.

Lisa, dont worry about Destiny.  She's like me, she's been stepped on, lied to, so many times, but she'll bounce right back.   Hmmm, that should be the words to a song......HA!

I just switched service to Verizon and I have to say that so far, I love it.  VZ Navigator is the bomb!  BUT...yesterday I asked it to find my location 3 times in a matter of a few minutes as I sat in the sunroom of our house.  Every ping came back with a different address on my street.  All close, but no cigar.  So the GPS systems on the phones are good, but not perfect.

Actually, I think I can top that one.  Two years ago I picked up two puppies that were tied in a big plastic garbage bag.  They had been thrown out to die...and there were two other pups that didn't make it.  OMG!  The smell was terrible.  When I got home I put them in the back yard and went inside to get the detergent and stuff for a bath...my dog in the house actually nipped me on the leg from the smell on my clothes.  I had to run out to get away.  All the dog could smell was the horrible odor....I can relate to the smell for sure.  It took two baths and a few flea dippings to get rid of the smell on them.  I forget how many times I bathed and washed those clothes...one trip in the washer didn't do it.  LOL  Happy to say they are thriving and happy now.  DD named them Puddin' and Buttercup...don't ask why she comes up with strange names for animals.  I just call them Pud Pud and Bitty Butt.  OK, that's my story for the day.

Yes, my posts are rarely responded to ...  I am just not a "regular".  I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, and some of my thoughts or questions may seem "dumb" to the more experienced poster, however it is no fun, theorizing by myself.  I would prefer to have my name removed from this forum.  I just don't know if you just don't post anymore or if you must have your name removed.

I think Casey will enjoy all the pampering when she gets out.  It won't get her to talk, but they can try. 

I think I heard her attorney on Greta say that Casey has never said she KNEW where Caylee was.  Did anyone else hear that or was it Padilla that said that?

Thank you.  I feel it's my purpose to help some of these dogs and cats.  I know, the town thinks of me as the local humane society, but I just have a hard time not taking them. There is one other lady in town that does the same thing...she even took the third pup from that bag for me.  I forgot to mention that. Her name is Bitsy Boo Boo.

Klaasend ... it is not my intention to "play games" .... nor do I mean any disrespect to anyone on this forum.  This is my "first forum" and I do not know how it all works .... in searching through it, I did not see a way to remove myself as a poster.  I did not know if it was necessary to even do so or if your name could just hang in limbo and just not post.

Invision, I have been posting at SM for over three years now, and feeling ignored is a common complaint. We've all felt that way more than once. I have enjoyed reading your posts here, and you seem to be a very intelligent person with some good thoughts on the case. I hope you continue to post here.

I'm sorry invision that you feel that way, and want you to know, that I always am interested in what you post, even if I don't respond. I would miss you and hope that you will reconsider.

I have found that sometimes everyone agrees and just doesn't reply to a post because they have nothing that is better to add than what was just said.  It is hard to understand in here, but it took me a very long time to not feel left out when no one responded to my posts.  It's not a reflection on you at all, in fact, you have some interesting thoughts.  Things have been moving so fast that I can't respond to all of them...but I promise you I read them all.  There are posters that read everything here and never post once.  Don't fell left out...in some ways that is even better...it's when you post a very contradictory opinion that get the most response. Trust me, I know.

I'll admit I've ignored calls from my kids after a blowup or when I know they are calling to ask for money or to babysit.  I wonder if vm messages were left by Casey and what her tone was like.

Invision, I've walked away before thinking I wouldn't post anymore, and as it turned out, I just needed a break. This is also my first forum, and it does take some getting used to, but I found I really missed it. If you just take the break, you can drop back in anytime, and we all hope you will!!

My granddaughter plays with my phone and has called my boss two or three times, but not one right after the other.  The calls were made methodically...cell phone, then work, etc.  Could be Caylee playing with the phone, but I really doubt it.

If you don't wish to post here simply don't post.  Don't log in and post.  Pretend you don't have an account.  Nobody is forcing you to post or read here.  That said I have always enjoyed reading your posts and other than today, I believe I have responded to most of them.  Today I was busy and also ran to the store.   I cannot tell you the hundreds of times I've posted and never had a response.

I don't have the time to come here often either, but I know my posts are read and respected, even if they are not responded to.  Please don't go.  These are good people with good hearts.  I try to have a positive outlook on this case but experience has jaded my rose colored glasses.  People get angry when a child suffers and we are all here to find answers, to get different perspectives and to help each other through the frustrations of being so helpless in this situation and others.  Take a break when you need to, but please don't leave for good.

I have been here since day one, actually day minus 9 when there was no forum and just a front page. That FP was murder on Tom who took all of the emails and transferred them to the comments section.

Now, I have had a few thousand post never responded to - it's just the way it is.

sometimes people log off and have their own lives to attend to.

sometimes people just don't know - If everyone responded to a post saying they don't know - it would be to page one hundred in the blink of an eye.

sometimes people are just thinking about the question and think it's intriguing, but can not put two and two together. It happens and no one should take offense to it.

sometimes people miss your post because the are horribly OT and talking about cats, dogs, cats with medical conditions, dogs with medical conditions, the events of the day, their kids - I could go on forever here. I just skip what doesn't interest me. Trust me - there are times when everyone is OT - and it's really not a big deal to most of us.

so I don't think anyone is purposefully ignoring you and I tried to give you a few reasons why.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A well-known bounty hunter and a bail bondsman continued on Tuesday to work toward meeting the bond requirements for Casey Anthony, the mother of a missing 3-year-old Orlando girl.


Leonard Padilla and his nephew, Tony Padilla, have said they will post the $500,000 bond for Casey Anthony. Leonard Padilla will put up his own money to bail her out in an effort to find out what happened to Caylee Anthony, Local 6 News reported.

Leonard Padilla, who hosts a TV show called "Bounty Hunters" on National Geographic, is working with Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, who met with Casey Anthony late Monday night for about two hours at the Orange County Jail, Local 6 News reported.

Leonard Padilla told Local 6 News that a special phone line has been added the the home of Casey Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, which is needed for an ankle monitoring bracelet.

Leonard Padilla and his team are working to clear up all of the bond conditions, some of which are undisclosed, currently preventing Casey Anthony's release from jail.

Local 6 News has crews at the Orange County Jail and will report immediately if Casey Anthony is released.

Leonard Padilla said last week that he is bailing Casey Anthony out to find out the truth about Caylee.

"We eat in the same room, sleep in the same room. After a while, these people feel better than sitting in a cell looking at the walls, and they will discuss things that they won't discuss with parents or anybody else," Leonard Padilla said.

Earlier, threats against the family if Casey Anthony leaves jail prompted Cindy Anthony to consider the use of a safe house.

"Right here, I don't think is the ideal place for her not because we don't want her in the house and everything, but we may have to hole her up somewhere in a safe house," Cindy Anthony said.

Over the weekend, Casey Anthony canceled a visit to see her brother, Lee, at the jail.

TO ALL - thanks for the kind words .... and I will be back (from time to time) to lurk .... I'm sure .... I get most of my "updates" here before they break on the news .... kudos to you all .... I'm not trying to sound like a spoiled brat and I AM NOT one to throw around "words as threats"  (I have more respect for myself than that) ..... I usually threaten people when I want a response. Last night we finally addressed (Klaas, Thank you) a question that I had asked 2 days ago. I don't threaten Klaas,  ::MonkeyNoNo::  but everybody else is fair game! She doesn't need me for avatars, and I need her for everything.

I spent a lot of time finding pink monkeys on a backpack that no one but me can see apparently, even after I colored them, but I know that they're there and not my imaginary friends. No one said "OH, CBB!, WOW! I see the monkeys now! Great job!" In fact no one said anything except that they don't think it's the same backpack because they didn't see any green in the one on the ground!   ::MonkeyWaa::

That's ok, because I know that if that backpack turns out to be relevant I'm going to flaunt it!  ::MonkeyHaHa::

Casey Anthony Remains In Jail Despite Promises By Bounty Hunter

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony remained in jail, Tuesday afternoon, despite a bounty hunter's efforts to free her.

With celebrity bounty hunter Leonard Padilla in Orlando working out details to bail Casey Anthony out of jail, sources tell Channel 9 it could be at least Tuesday before she is released. If Casey is released, an associate of Padilla will live with her 24 hours a day, seven days a week, trying to get more information about missing Caylee Anthony. Meanwhile, Casey's attorney, Jose Baez visited her in jail Monday night.

Leonard Padilla, a bounty hunter who seeks the media spotlight, had said that he planned to post $50,000 of Anthony's $500,000 bond. Anthony is being held on charges related to the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter, Caylee. Caylee was reported missing in June and Casey Anthony's reluctance to give straight answers to investigators has left deputies frustrated.

Padilla, who is from Sacramento, said coming to Orlando could be a win-win situation. In addition to getting national media exposure, he says he might even be able learn Caylee Anthony’s whereabouts.

"She's going to have to trust somebody or she's going to be sitting in jail for a long time, said Padilla."

There is no word when, or if, Casey Anthony will be bonded out. She will have to be fitted with an ankle monitor. Her attorney visited her in jail, Monday evening, but did not shed any light on the process.

I think we're sort of like knowledge vampires around here. We read what others post and suck in what we can from those posts, then move on. If we know the answer to a question, we'll usually respond. If we don't know the answer, we assume someone else will answer it and keep refreshing the pages in our quest to feed our vampire appetites.

I guess sometimes we're just not as considerate of one another as we should be.  ::MonkeyNoNo::

OK I just do not get...I am new here and I read all the stuff from yesterday and well I understand some are new to forums, but I still don't get it.I am not new to forums and honestly I love the SM forums. I have been on many where people just don't respond it is the nature of the beast sometimes people might not know what to type, how to phrase it, or might just not have an answer..My posts have not all been answered, but I do not expect every single post to get an answer.  Shoot do you know how many times my kids and husband ignore me..LOL  

The SM forum is great to me because even if my post doesn't get answered I can read how you guys approach things and analyze them with different  thoughts and views. And with each answer being it to my posts or others I feel I can educate myself on different ways of looking at things..I do not get upset when I do not get an answer, on the contrary I just get happy when I learn anything new from anyone.. Just my 2 cents...Besides it would be a little boring if everyone thought the same, then nothing would ever get solved...

Hey BT & every one else.  :2waver: I have been reading off and on and trying to do a little work.  I was swamped over the weekend and out yesterday so it seems like today has been nothing but catch up.

If I was going to be watched like a hawk by someone...it would not be that guy.  He gives me the creepy crawlies. I get the feeling he's in it for the money.  Casey isn't going to talk unless she's drugged or her story is true. 

Jesus Ortiz went to school with Casey.  Casey has implied to her parents that Jesus may have been the father of Caylee.  Jesus died in a car accident in May 2007.  Jesus's family was unaware that Jesus could possibly be Caylee's father.  They are going a DNA test to determine if Jesus was Caylee's daddy.  No word on the results of that yet.

Lalas, Jesus Ortiz was thought at one point to be Caylee's father. The Ortiz family denies that. Casey & Jesus went to the same high school and apparently knew each other but that's it. Jesus was killed in an auto accident which is why many people though that he could have been Caylee's father.

Caylee Anthony's Mom May Spend Yet Another Night Behind Bars

The mother of missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony might not be getting out of jail Tuesday as expected after all, FOX News has learned.

Bailbondsman Tony Padilla, who flew in to Orlando from California to post Casey Anthony's $500,000 bond, said he could have secured her release Tuesday had he filed all the paperwork by 9 a.m.

But he didn't — and now, thanks to various procedural tie-ups, it's looking increasingly likely that the money won't be paid until about dinnertime Tuesday, he told FOX.

The delay will probably buy the 22-year-old brunette with wide eyes and a big smile another night in the slammer in Orange County, Fla.

Anthony remains a "person of interest" in the disappearance of her toddler daughter, who hasn't been seen for two months. The young mother described by friends and family as a habitual liar didn't report Caylee missing until about 30 days after she said she left her with a baby sitter who snatched her. Police have said they doubt that story.

Padilla arrived Sunday with his cowboy-hat-sporting, bounty hunter uncle Leonard Padilla to spring Anthony from jail — and, rumor has it, shoot a TV show.

"There's a reward out there; I'm not interested in the reward," Leonard Padilla told FOX News on Monday. "My only interest ... is to get that child back."

His interest might also be a reality program on the National Geographic Channel. There have been rumblings that the elder Padilla has gotten involved in Anthony's case to have material for the small screen.

Anthony is charged with child neglect and lying to authorities about her daughter's disappearance on or around June 16.

Padilla said her release from the Orange County jail can help give investigators more information as to the child's whereabouts.

"I feel that there is some humanity in that woman that would not allow her to kill that cute little girl," Leonard Padilla said. "I've just got to believe that."

He said he isn’t afraid of her running away.

“We’re not letting her out of our eyesight,” he said.

Leonard Padilla and a team of people will reportedly be guarding Anthony 24/7, and details of how they handle her are being worked out with her attorney, Jose Baez, FOX News has learned.

The Anthony family has also retained a spokesman named Larry Garrison, known for his work on other high-profile cases.

Garrison has interacted with the media about the disappearance in Aruba of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway and about the arrest of John Mark Karr after he falsely confessed to the murder of Colorado beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey.

Police are investigating numerous theories about what happened to the child, including the possibility that she died accidentally, was killed or was kidnapped by a baby sitter, as Anthony has claimed.

I remember now.  I think I have asked this before...sorry.  So that means that Jesus Ortiz died owing this Zenaida person money.  And they petitioned the estate to pay it and all they got was what was left.

What if this Zenaida is the person that has been watching Caylee?  What if she took Caylee thinking this was Ortiz kid?  I know, it's far fetched...I mean really out there.  But what if this is the same story Casey told to cover her rear in all this???  It would give credence to why Padilla believes her story....I know it's way out there...I am just pondering the possibility.

Also, Lala's, Ortiz was a college student and by all accounts a nice person and a smart guy with a bright future. I'm not saying that nice, smart guys never go slumming with skanky high school dropouts, but that just makes it less likely, in my opinion.
