Please forgive me if I misread, but I thought I saw a couple of notes back you might be looking for information to pass along about big companies who might help in some way here locally.  Darden Restaurants (Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Seasons 52, Longhorn Steakhouse) have their headquarters here in Orlando for a very long time.  Don't know if they could provide something, but I can give the number if someone is interested and if I can post it here.  Another large and longstanding business here in Orlando is Merita Bread, maybe they could donate something or have a volunteer day or something.  Just some ideas.

She was arrested for fraud, petty theft, etc..  but was she not charged til now? So in that case, the additional charges she's getting are simply on top of child neglect or whatever? Not as in....  more fraud charges, more theft charges, etc..?

Sheriff Beary donates $5,000 in drug forfeiture money
to assist Texas EquuSearch team

Sheriff Beary will announce a $5,000 donation in forfeited drug money to assist the efforts of Texas EquuSearch, the non-profit search and recovery organization who came to Orange County to assist in the search for Caylee Anthony.  The highly specialized, high-tech search and recovery team has been and continues to be an invaluable asset in the Sheriff’s Office’s ongoing effort to locate the missing three year old.  Volunteers working under the direction of EquuSearch are searching locations considered to be areas of interest by Sheriff’s investigators.  While their efforts have not led to the recovery of Caylee they are quickly and efficiently eliminating areas that investigators are interested in.

Employees and volunteer groups associated with the Sheriff’s Office may soon be joining EquuSearch’s search effort as early as tomorrow.  Up to 80 alumni from the Sheriff’s Civilian Police Academy will be participating in the search as will a number of civilian agency employees. I think many posters here have stated they feel sorry for the family.  I've said it myself from time to time.  I do feel sorry for family members that love and miss Caylee, but I do not believe the BS that  many of them are trying to shove down everyone's throat.  I'm not naming any names, but the one that starts with a C and ends with an indy is really pi$$ing me off!

I got a little behind over the weekend and it has taken me two days to catch up....you guys are good and FAST!!! (panting)

I am dying to get down to Florida and help search, but unfortunately school started today, and it is never good for the teacher to be absent on the first days of school....it's kinda killing me that I can't physically help.... BUT I am a part of a monthly meditation group.  We meet next Weds., and we always dedicate the energy of our meditation to a worthy person or cause....at my urging, we are dedicating September's meditation to Caylee. There are 50 of us and we will be using all of our collective energy to send positivity and love to Tim Miller and Caylee and all of you Monkeys.....I know it's not much, and I know that some of you Monks may think its BS, but we have done some good for alot of people with our focused meditations.

I will also try to get some donations for TES from my fellow meditators....mediation is great, and so is money!!!

Could you look at the charging documents today and see the dates the checks where cashed and see if this fits ino the time frame she said she was looking for caylee , and if so would not the stores and bank have video sruveillance , wouldn't that help with the time line since this ws apparently happening when amy was out of town ... you could go see if Caylee was with her at the times she was at target winn dixie and bank "FAT CHANCE" but hey its worth a shot to get a more direct timeline

Did Casey not withdraw funds from her Grandparents' account using the number on a birthday cheque they gave her.  Then it was reported in the media that more than $40,000 unauthorized purchases were put on the Anthony's visa by Casey in the first month that Caylee was missing.   


It is my understanding that victims only report ... not file charges ... when their personal chequeing/Visa accounts are breach.  I believe that these are criminal offences and ... when reported by the financial institutions ... LE files the charges.

I could be wrong.

TES is now searching and I would appreciate any ability you might have to make their participation in this case known to the public. I have followed Caylee's  case from the beginning as well as many others in which TES has participated. Tim Miller is a genuine person about which enough can not be said.

I am writing at this time, and hope this email reaches you in a timely manner that you might be able to let the public know that the searchers are in need of food and water as of this date 8/31/08. The search will continue at this time on 9/1/08 weather permitting. We have sent fast food delivers to the searchers. In some cases we are having trouble getting items to them. If there are any local residents unable to participate in the search specifically, but might be able to donate water that would be very much appreciated.

Here's the Sherrif's updates. She was caught on surveillance camera at Target & BOA. She also  used Amy's account to make an online payment for her freakin' cell phone to AT&T in the amount of $574.

I think that's wonderful, Sweetgypsy!  I don't think it's BS at all.  Books like A New Earth, The Power of Now and the Secret have given me a lot of insight on the power of thought energy.  Great idea to have your group send their collective positive energy.

i dont know a whole lot about trials and stuff , but i do know that during the penalty phase, a judges decision is largely based on the outcry of the victim's family....if not one of caylee's family members is pleading with the court for justice to be brought on the killer, then who will stand for caylee in court? in other words, no harm, no foul, right? isnt justice usually handed down for the benefit of the survivors? does anyone here think this will have an impact on sentencing(assuming there will be one)? i dont mean to sound cold, im just being real here, but justice for the dead, to some people, is not the issue, since it is the survivors who suffer...

someone was asking about why the Florida bond company posted her bond on those check charges from when she was arrested on Friday. He did once he knew the 500,000 was revoked and there was no chance of her getting out.

Why? One because it gets him some cheap advertising and two because once she is bonded on the charges "time served" freezes. Even if she is sitting in the clink. None of it can be considered good time.

Police haven't been permitted by Anthony's lawyer to interview her about Caylee's whereabouts in some time, according to Padilla, though they did speak to her about the alleged check fraud that led to her second arrest Friday night.

IMO this is wrong .... all wrong .... how can they build a case if they don't have access to question her .... I think LE should be allowed to question ANYONE .... and they should have the right to have an attorney present .... but to not even be allowed to question her is wrong ...

Sorry - I am a medical transcriptionist by trade and was trying to type as they were talking.  Anyway announcer said three sources told him there was "large amounts of chloroform" in the car.  Same source said that information about websites were taken from the hard drive on her computer seized during the search warrant.  They also spoke to a chemist who told them "chloroform was very hard to come by" (unless of course your mother is a nurse (my addition) !!

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Sources close to the investigation into missing toddler Caylee Anthony told WESH 2 that preliminary lab results show there was chloroform in mother Casey Anthony's car.

Chloroform is a chemical that was used years ago to sedate patients during surgery.

When Casey Anthony's car was found, investigators said it smelled like decomposition.

Her father, George Anthony, said it was because of rotting pizza and cleaning supplies left in the car for days, but sources told WESH 2 the level of chloroform in her car was "suspiciously high" and that her computer confiscated within hours of her July arrest, show visits to Web sites with information on chloroform.

A high-ranking sheriff's department official would neither confirm nor deny the computer information and the preliminary findings of chloroform in the car.

WESH 2 asked a spokeswoman for Casey Anthony’s lawyer about their reaction to the chloroform finding. She referred us to the state attorney's office.

Earlier Wednesday, Texas EquuSearch said they may be packing up after clashing with the child’s grandmother, Cindy Anthony.

Throughout the week, the search has been focused in wooded areas and thick brush lately. They're places Anthony believes Caylee won't be found.

"I think it's a waste of time searching in the woods back by the airport and all that because I know Caylee is alive. I've gotten many people calling in and saying they've seen Caylee. What I would like people to do is continue to get the word out and continue to look for her," Anthony said.

Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary made a plea on Wednesday for searchers to stay.

Beary promised Tim Miller, the president of Texas EquuSearch, some much-needed help in the form of airboats, patrols and money.

"Said, 'We're going to bring you a check for $5,000 just to help on this search, but do not leave this search.' Why do you think he (Beary) doesn't want us to leave this search? The $5,000 was a donation from drug forfeiture money that was given to keep the search efforts going. Beary also appealed for more volunteers to join the search for Caylee.

"I am saying if Casey (Anthony) got us out here and she gave that child to somebody she trusted and will not give up the name and phone number and wasting our resources," Miller said.

Meanwhile, Casey Anthony received a late-night visit from her attorney, Jose Baez, on Tuesday. Court records show he visited her at the Orange County Jail between 10 and 11 p.m.

Her brother, Lee, has scheduled a visit for Saturday at 1 p.m.

New Charges Filed Against Casey Anthony

Sheriff's investigators filed additional charges against Casey Anthony, the mother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, on Wednesday afternoon.

The additional charges include two counts of uttering a forged check, two counts of petty theft and two counts of fraudulent use of personal identification.

"All I know is that there's additional charges because this young lady has definitely got a bit of a criminal past," Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary said.

A jail visit from parents George and Cindy Anthony that was slated for Thursday at 9 a.m. was cancelled so Casey Anthony could appear on the new charges.

New Charges For Casey Anthony Amid Reports Of New Attorney

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- New criminal charges were filed against Casey Anthony on Wednesday and Eyewitness News has learned she could be getting a powerful local attorney.

The new charges are unrelated to her daughter Caylee's disappearance. They stem from Casey's arrest Friday night, when she was accused of stealing money from her friend's checking account. The friend, Amy Huizenga, says Anthony stole several checks and cleaned out her bank account while Huizenga was vacationing in Puerto Rico.

The sheriff's office said they were able to connect Casey with the checks using video surveillance from a Target and Bank of America location.

The new charges filed Wednesday are for two counts of uttering a forged check, two counts of petit theft, and two counts of fraudulent use of personal identification.


HIGH-PROFILE ORLANDO ATTORNEY CONTACTED

Only Eyewitness News has learned one of Orlando's most prominent defense attorneys, Mark Nejame, has been contacted in the case, but he hasn't decided if he'll take it over. Late Wednesday afternoon, Eyewitness News learned Cindy Anthony was meeting with Nejame at his office.

Nejame has decades of experience in high-profile cases. He's being very tight-lipped about the case. He didn't tell Eyewitness News why he hasn't decided whether or not he will take on the case and didn't say whether or not he may take on the case pro bono.

Mark Nejame and his team of attorneys have been known to represent high-profile cases in Central Florida. In 2004, he represented Jesse Maali. The high-profile I-Drive business man was investigated by federal agents and then indicted on charges of hiring illegal aliens, money laundering and tax evasion.

President of the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys Richard Hornsby told Eyewitness News that Nejame's firm would be an asset to Casey Anthony's defense because he is media savvy.

"If Mark would take over to the Anthony case, it would be a great benefit from both the media and legal standpoint, because you know the right decision would be made," Hornsby said.

Nejame's law firm was in the spotlight when he represented Fred Khalilian. Khalilian is best known for opening nightspot Club Paris at Church Street Station with hotel heiress Paris Hilton in 2004. Khalilian was accused raping a girl at his apartment after leaving his nightclub Dolce.

Former city commissioner Ernest Page hired Nejame when he got into hot water. Page was accused of using his city hall position to demand business dealings with a developer.

But Hornsby believes the Anthony case is so big, it takes more than just one attorney to handle it.

"If Mark's firm were to be taking over, it would be like a team as opposed to a sole practitioner, which quite frankly this case needs," he said.

In Florida there are a few professions that are a "dime a dozen" - lawn care and pool maintenance are two of them.  Did she have any "boyfriends" that worked for a pool service?

I've always thought that Casey used the trunk as a babysitter while she partied at Fusion's.  Couldn't leave her in the back seat...someone passing by would see her.  These were nights when Cindy bitched that she was going out too much and wouldn't babysit.

Yes.  As I said the druggies are very adept at this stuff.  When I worked in a small convenience store last year...they would come in and get some strange stuff.  I would ask the clerk what they were doing and she said...oh they are making meth.

You have to Take a Card to the Pharmacist and He/She will administer the OTC Drug to You and You must pay right there. If your age is in question they will ask for your ID.

Does not take much to Make illegal Drugs anymore. Obvious on how everything has changed in Over the counter medicine.

What I find interesting is that a lot of this misdirection is not coming from mother and prime suspect Casey Anthony, but from certain members of her family, and the various ‘paid’ help.

There is more BS floating around in this case, than you would find in a large commercial cattle ranch!

Being a reporter is in many ways similar to being an investigator. You listen to what people say, you look at the evidence, and make a determination. Actually that is not quite the whole story, you also listen to what people don’t say, look at evidence that should exist, yet is missing, and what others, while unconnected with the crime when it happened, are now somehow involved.

So what is everyone saying?

Lets start with Leonard Padilla, Bounty Hunter, and now regular on News TV. He was the bone head that bailed Casey Anthony out. “She is innocent, and we are going to find young Caylee” was his clarion call for about a week. However when the Cops dragged Casey back into jail for other unrelated charges concerning some slightly illegal checks, he was Johnny on the spot, at getting out of the $500k bond his nephew had guaranteed revoked.

What is interesting is Padilla’s new comments. He has now extricated himself from the case, but it is clear that he knows much more than he is actually fessing up to. Clearly he is frustrated with the lack of co-operation, and just could not wait to relocate his Stetson out of Florida.

When the FBI, who has got some of the finest labs in the world, comes back [with findings], it is going to shock the world over something Lee, Casey and Cindy have known since Wednesday when they released their preliminary findings, and also, the Dumpster located a mile and quarter away from the boyfriend Tony’s home is going to play a big part in this.

Casey’s lawyer Jose Baez, well I don’t even know where to start with him! But I would love to know who is footing the bill. Even the Jose Baez’s of the world want to get paid exorbitant amounts of money, otherwise they can’t afford the BMW and $1000 suits!

A person with no personal connection with the case is Tim Miller. Tim is founder of the Texas based Equusearch. Tim and his group are a non proffit who just want to help, they can supply manpower, and they can supply experience. Now if my child or grandchild was missing I’d want any help I could get but Tim had this to say about co-operation from the Anthony family:

I feel as though we have been used in this. We are not getting any cooperation. We have done everything Cindy asked us to do, She wants us to find her granddaughter alive. Guess what. I don’t believe she is aliveWe’ve been very discouraged with this search, and we were almost got to the point of wanting to pull out. But we got a call from the sheriff of Orange County. He said, ‘Don’t be discouraged. Don’t give up. I’m bringing you Airboats, mounted patrol, and $5,000 to help out. Don’t go anywhere’

So what about the family? The most outspoken is Cindy Anthony, who has manged to get herself interviewed by just about every TV station known to man. I am not sure that even the most IQ challenged viewer believes one word out of her mouth. Her response to the FBI lab finding evidence that a body had been decomposing in the car was that the someone put a dead body in the car while it was impounded! Doh! not even Homer OJ Simpson would say something that stupid.

Casey apparently is not saying anything, except to her lawyer, and with the amount they are spending together one can only wonder is only Legal Briefs are the only briefs involved.

Brother Lee Anthony seems to have retreated into the woodwork, has he lost interest? Or has he discovered something about his sister that he would prefer to keep quiet about?

The final family member, and maybe the most interesting is Casey’s father George. This is where I start to have some goose bumps. Everyone is skillfully avoiding this guy. Does he know something that the rest of us don’t? Please do not get me wrong, I do not for one moment think he was the killer, but was he an accomplice after the fact?

And what about spokesperson Larry Garrison? He is a big league player. He obviously had nothing to do with the disappearance of Caylee, but where did he come from? I can not imagine that he is doing this out of his large heart, no pay no comments! Larry is the verbal equivalent of the Fire Hydrants that the emergency services use to supply gobs of water to feed their hoses when they are fighting a serious fire. Larry’s hydrant seems to have run dry. Of course he may be suffering from laryngitis, or, and this is my bet, whoever was bankrolling the deal has lost interest.

I was with my brother and his girlfriend over the weekend.  His girlfriend was JG's training officer through the police academy and had some interesting things to say about him.  They ended up letting him go after training and didn't want to sponsor him any further.  I made a remark to my brother along the lines of "well no one can commit the perfect crime, they will get caught eventually" and he made this very interesting statement back to me - "No, but being in LE I would know what way they were going to look and what questions they would ask".

I am certainly not imputing bad motives to anyone other than Casey, but perhaps she used her feminine ways to find out "what if this happened" or "what if that happened" and "suppose someone did this or that" or "where would you put something you never wanted found" with her two policeman boyfriends.  Thinking she was the "good mother" and knowing she was the "good lay" they may have inadvertently given her some good advice !! 

I know, I'm so sad now knowing how she went, any way is wrong but when it's purposely by the hands of your own mother that you trust, just so sad.

Caylee could have gotten into someone's stash chemicals to make meth...then Casey may have found her...that would be along the lines of an accident, right? 

Judging by her friends it could have been any of them making meth or even some we don't know about.  Caylee could have spilled something on her...it would kill her if she inhaled enough of it and still Casey would be negligent...then again she could have used it to sedate her too.  Either way...the biotch should fry!!  Ooops!  Sorry I got carried away.

I wonder if the dumpster contained evidence related to the chloroform - a container or containers of ingredients used to make it.

Maybe why a new powerful attorney has been contacted??

Padilla was just on Headline News..same channel as NG and said the dumpster is the one by the amscot and that they zoomed in it at the beginning and found some evidence there. He did said the preliminary results of some FBI test were told to Cindy, casey and lee on Weds and if the are confirmed that is what will shock the world...It's probably been confirmed now and that's why they are releasing it to the public...I think I did hear OH MY GOD all at once from everyone in the world.

Sheriff Beary donates $5,000 in drug forfeiture money
to assist Texas EquuSearch team

Sheriff Beary will announce a $5,000 donation in forfeited drug money to assist the efforts of Texas EquuSearch, the non-profit search and recovery organization who came to Orange County to assist in the search for Caylee Anthony.  The highly specialized, high-tech search and recovery team has been and continues to be an invaluable asset in the Sheriff’s Office’s ongoing effort to locate the missing three year old.  Volunteers working under the direction of EquuSearch are searching locations considered to be areas of interest by Sheriff’s investigators.  While their efforts have not led to the recovery of Caylee they are quickly and efficiently eliminating areas that investigators are interested in.

Employees and volunteer groups associated with the Sheriff’s Office may soon be joining EquuSearch’s search effort as early as tomorrow.  Up to 80 alumni from the Sheriff’s Civilian Police Academy will be participating in the search as will a number of civilian agency employees. We have also received word that a number of Loyal Order of the Moose members from the Orlando, Azalea Park, County Line, Kissimmee, Pine Castle, and South Lake County Lodges will provide much needed manpower for the search.

Sheriff’s Investigators have filed additional check fraud and theft charges on Casey Anthony early this afternoon.  Two counts of uttering a forged check, two counts of petit theft, and two counts of fraudulent use of personal identification.  Those charging affidavits will be available on the Caylee Anthony section of our web site… http://www.ocso.com
