ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony, the mother of a missing 3-year-old Orlando girl, will again leave jail after her $500,000 bond was posted, Local 6 News reported.


Casey Anthony, 22, was most recently jailed on theft charges unrelated to the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee, who was reported missing in mid-July but was last seen about 31 days earlier.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony, the mother of a missing 3-year-old Orlando girl, will again leave jail after her $500,000 bond was posted, Local 6 News reported.

Casey Anthony, 22, was most recently jailed on theft charges unrelated to the disappearance of her daughter,

Caylee, who was reported missing in mid-July but was last seen about 31 days earlier.

Meanwhile, Cindy Anthony, the grandmother of Caylee, fired back Thursday after she apparently heard harsh statements against her on a national TV show as a search for the child continues.

The founder of a group organizing daily Central Florida searches for missing Caylee Anthony, Tim Miller, said he was furious with Cindy Anthony after what he said was a lack of cooperation.

"I'm pissed off," Equusearch's Miller said. "I feel as though we have been used in this and we are not getting any cooperation. We have done everything Cindy Anthony has asked us to do."

Cindy Anthony apparently heard comments from Miller and bounty hunter Leonard Padilla on CNN's Nancy Grace show and released a statement from a family representative Thursday.

"Leonard Padilla and Tim Miller came to me under false pretenses -- both claiming their sole purpose to find Caylee alive. Tim Miller misrepresented his intentions, and is falsely accusing me of not cooperating with him, when it is evident his motives were to obtain publicity for his organizations at the expense of exploiting my granddaughters' disappearance. Tim Miller tried to discredit Kid Finders Network by falsely stating that they tried to pull out of the search for Caylee. Mr. Miller also claims that he spent twelve hours in my home with my family including Casey, when in fact he spent only a few hours total with me and minutes with Casey. This is an example of Tim Miller following in Leonard Padillas footsteps. Although I feel his organization has a purpose, his misrepresentation has tainted the effort of so many people with good intentions. I would have expected Tim Miller to speak with me one on one, rather than me hearing him on Nancy Grace."


Miller responded to the statement.

"This is about Caylee, period, the end," Miller said. "And I would hope, if something has happened to Caylee, I would hope Cindy would want us out here finding her body too. If Cindy wants us to stop looking for her body, guess what -- we are not going to."

Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary also sent a message to Cindy on Wednesday.

"Cindy Anthony was on national TV demanding an apology from the sheriff's office," Local 6's Louis Bolden said at the news conference.

"(It) won't happen," Beary said after a chuckle. "It won't happen. We are doing our job. What we need is credible information, especially from her daughter and that is a message I send back to her."

I don't know of any other case that's been like this.  The obvious reason for this is publicity, but Padilla found out what a nightmare it was, and I wonder if he still thinks the publicity was worth his time, money, and efforts.  If not for publicity, then another reason might be to continue the chess game being played with LE.  Bailing her out may be an attempt to force the case along at a pace faster than LE wants to move.  However, the OCSO has done a thorough and methodical job of this, so I don't think they will be outmanuevered.

We mentioned two "new" people today--the lawyer hired by the Anthony's and George's father who lives in Florida now but used to own a car dealership in Ohio.  I noticed the bond was divided into two postings, each for $250,000.  I wonder if the family (by way of George's father's generosity) put up half the bond, and then the new lawyer put up half of it.  However, for the life of me, I can't figure out why any lawyer would do this.  It's just not logical.

Casey Anthony, the mother of missing toddler Caylee Marie Anthony, will be released from jail on Friday, authorities said.

Anthony's $500,200 bail has been posted, a jail worker said. She will be interviewed by a home-confinement worker on Friday before being released with an ankle monitor and several conditions.

In my opinion, one or both of her parents want something to happen to her or they would not be getting someone to make the bond. Have you considered there is much to hide in that family besides a body?

If that were my daughter with all the hard feelings and her past questionable associates, jail would be the safest place for her.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Eyewitness News has learned Casey Anthony will be bonded out of jail Friday morning. Two bond agencies, Macdonald Bail Bonds out of Kissimmee and Joe Von Waldner Bail Bonds out of Orlando, are working together to post the $500,000 bond.


The agencies each put up $250,000. At this time, no details are available as to why the two agencies decided to post the bond. Casey Anthony will be on home confinement and monitoring when she is released.

Sitting here thinking about this whole case, it occurs to me that the Anthony's are really, truly just middle-class working people with no money, no big connections, no fame and no fortune.  So, how on God's green earth do they manage to get all of these wealthy and connected people to go to bat for them?  Common sense says Casey should have a public defender, but she managed to hire Baez.  Then Larry Garrison stepped into the picture, and the Padilla's soon followed.  These people have money and influence, much as I dislike them personally.  Then, George and Cindy hire one of the biggest and most expensive defense attorneys in Florida.  With what?  Who is behind them, funding them? 

This is bizarre because if this were you or I (which it wouldn't be, but for the sake of argument), we would be rotting in a jail with a public defender awaiting trial. 

All I can deduce from this is that media coverage is so powerful for these people that they will even align themselves with the Anthony's and their murdering daughter to get 5 minutes of Nancy Grace exposure.  That is bizarre!  I wonder what would happen if NG and the local Florida stations all of a sudden went silent on this case, vowing to cover it no longer until the trial.  I think all the money-men would crawl back into the woodwork.

Why post bond?  What leads did Baez give to LE?

Is this a defense?  LE didn't follow-up on every possible lead, so therefore, my client cannot possibly be guilty?

What criteria does Mr. Baez use to determine that the lead was credible?  Does Mr. Baez pass on all leads?  Including those that he may feel are not credible?

Perhaps LE already had that lead?  Maybe it wasn't new?  If he feels that LE should be looking in Texas, Mexico, and PR, has he alerted the appropriate law enforcement groups in those areas?  Maybe AMW?  Passed on those leads?

Sources: Air Samples From Casey Anthony's Car Came Pack Positive For Vaporized Chloroform

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony, mother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, is expected to bond out of jail for the second time as early as Friday morning.

According to the Orange County Corrections Web site, her $500,000 bond is pending on Thursday evening.

She will need to go through the home confinement process again before she is released.

The bond was posted by an anonymous donor.

A release from the office of Jose Baez said, "Casey Anthony is being bailed out of jail. The individual posting the bond prefers to remain anonymous, and is doing it because of the belief that Ms. Anthony's constitutional rights have been grossly violated. Mr. Baez will have no comment about the bond and will respect the privacy of the anonymous party.

The release also said that neither Baez nor Casey Anthony will be working again with the bounty hunter that posted Casey Anthony's bond originally, Leonard Padilla, claiming that he can't be trusted.

Local Chemist Calls Chloroform In Anthony's Car 'Definitive'

Sources with knowledge of the investigation told WESH 2 that air samples from Casey Anthony's car came back positive for vaporized chloroform.

"I think it's as significant or more significant than finding decomposition products," chemist Jeff Flowers said.

Flowers has testified in state and federal court as an expert and said positive tests for vaporized chloroform mean those results could not have come from anything else -- not cleaning products, not human body fluids or a mixture of anything else. Flowers said it had to have been pure chloroform.

"It could not have come from a chemical reaction in the trunk. It's impossible. That solvent could knock out the driver of the car. It's a very dangerous thing to have that material in your car," Flowers said.

He also said that these kinds of tests to detect vaporized Chloroform are very common and admissible in court.

Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, was asked about the positive chloroform test results on Thursday.

Orange County investigators said they are waiting for more test results.

Investigators said they would love to talk to Casey Anthony again and find out what happened to Caylee. Without that, they said, the scientific evidence is so important because it's not based on someone's opinion or memory.

Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary spoke for all his investigators who've put in thousands of hours in the search for Caylee, and said that regardless of if Caylee is alive or has passed away, they need to find her.

Since mother Casey Anthony has said she does not know where her daughter is, top investigators said scientific evidence is playing a crucial part in the search for Caylee.

“It's not subjective. It's not someone's opinion or recollection. That's why scientific evidence is so important to us," Chief Ron Stucker said.

WESH 2 has confirmed preliminary lab results have come back positive for the presence of human decomposition in Casey Anthony's car. Hair samples found in the trunk match Caylee that leads investigators to suspect that there is a strong possibility Caylee is deceased.

Flowers said chloroform tests are often used as evidence in court and there are dozens of labs all over Florida that perform the tests.

If chloroform was indeed in Casey Anthony's car in high concentrations, Flowers said it will be very difficult to explain how it got there.

Tests are being conducted in at least two places: the FBI lab in Quantico, Virginia and also the so-called, "Body Farm," a forensic testing lab at the University of Tennessee.

Let's see if we can arrange one of those new pedicures for Casey that uses little fish to nibble on the callouses.  We'll just use piranhas instead.

Janet,IMO the Orlando LE have stepped up efforts to help Tim and Equusearch in the HOPES that they find Caylee's body.I think they only want to try this case once and want the strongest case possible.Right now if all the DNA and evidence is true,they could probably charge Casey for the murder of Caylee but I truly think they want the strongest case possible before trial.

Yes. But what if there is no body? I had been thinking "What if they don't find a body?" OK so don't yell, I just wonder what you think it would require for prosecution.

DNA in trunk? Casey was in that car for almost 3 years. It would understandable if "Casey DNA" were everywhere in the Pontiac. Is the finding of "Casey DNA" that different from what would be found in any other car that had a child for years? How does prosecution tie the hair to Caylee in a way that anybody could understand?

Decompostion in trunk? All that seems to be available is hair and that has no human DNA. How does prosecution prove it is Caylee's hair and its relevance to a jury?

The closest thing to a crime scene is the Pontiac. Going over the statement on the release of the Pontiac impound by the front office woman (Lett I think) and the manager, we have the front office woman's hearsay testimony that George said to the manager that the child is still missing. Also, it seems they have differences in the time of release. And how many times George came to the impound lot. Are there notes on this?

Chloroform and the web searches. This could be Casey looking for an effective cleaning solvent for DNA and human remains or it could be LE contamination. How to tell the difference? Where did the chloroform come from?

Casey has some kind of problem with telling the truth. Cindy too. So, you have to ignore their every statement, treat them as invisible. OK, now given that hurdle, how can prosecution prove there was a body in the trunk and their intent?

I am asking, please don't yell. If any of the Anthonys take the stand as a prosecution witness this will become a circus. How can prosecution prove there was Caylee's decomposing body in the trunk. How can prosecution show obstruction, such as cleaning the evidence (proof of intent because an immediate cover-up of wrongdoing was at play?)

I have to wonder about a few things regarding the chloroform.

If tests show that there was evidence of chloroform in the trunk, could LE go after the couches, beds, and other places Caylee may have 'slept' when she was with her mother?  Those times she 'slept through everything'?  Maybe traces of chloroform may remain in furniture/bedding?

I agree.There's no arguing with that hair evidence.Hair from someone deceased(sp)shows a dark band around it and I think that is what they have as evidence.Also,gases and air surrounding the stain in the trunk says it's from a deceased person.IMO they DO have enough to take her to court right now but they really want to find Caylee's body....to make the strongest case possible against Casey.You can only be tried for murder once.

What is the smallest part of a body that would be required for prosecution?  Bone?  Bone fragment?  Decomposing/burned hair?  DNA from a burn site?

Please someone correct me if I am wrong.  Isn't it possible for science to tell the difference between DNA from old skin cells, blood (old vs. newer sample), salivia, hair, and other body parts?  Maybe not 100%, but IIRC there is a difference? 

What is the DNA found with?  Chemical soup?  Stomach contents?  Bowel contents?  Decaying biological matter?  Toothbrush DNA?


I haven't seen the report, so I'm not sure what was in there.

I seem to recall that in the past, before DNA, hair samples were almost unique to an individual.  It would be possible to say that the sample found wasn't mom, grandma, or grandpa, but a good match to Caylee.  Side by side comparisons is what I remember.  Width, color, cortex, texture, etc., would either match or not match.

I would also keep in mind, from memory, that the hair sample would match few in the community, like they would match the missing person.  Not quite the 'one in X million' for DNA, but with good reliability. 

Anyone else remember more about hair samples?


Is the Pontiac a hiding place, not a crime scene?  What party/place was Caylee last known to be alive/seen?  Was she 'sleeping'?  Perhaps that might be the place she died?

Is the Pontiac a place that someone wanted the body to be found?  Caylee, and maybe someone else?

Is there some kind of security camera/system at the impound lot?  Cell data?  Phone calls from that area?


What other computer searches did someone do on that computer?  Maybe they looked up "bleach" and other cleaning compounds?  Lysol?  Human DNA?

What would LE use chloroform for?  Is this a standard chemical used in investigations?  If it is, I would imagine traces would be found in many investigations, and not be of interest.  Would the police, news media, and crime reporters know the difference?

Maybe Casey and the grandparents clothing would have traces?  Traces in the ground at the impound lot?  Dumpster?  Parking spots for the Pontiac the month before and after Caylee disappeared?


Did Casey have a habit of 'losing' her daughter?  Perhaps this was not the first time Caylee disappeared?  Had the grandparents missed Caylee in the past?  Maybe the grandparents do not want to think of their daughter as a bad parent?  Maybe Caylee was left with sitters/strangers/other family members in the past for certain time periods? 

If there was a body in the trunk, and it wasn't well wrapped...

- given the heat in Florida, how many days before the body starts to liquify?  Three?  How long before the body loses its integrity?

- could there there tissue pieces in the trunk?  On the ground?  At a carwash?  Was anyone in the family see at a local car wash washing the car?  Maybe this was done by a business?  Is the case in the Spanish language media?

Intent or actions?  What would an average person think about the actions of Casey and the grandparents in this case? 

Actions speak lounder than words or speculation about 'intent'.  jmho

Did the workers see the contents of the garbage bag?  See the contents of the soap container?  Maybe there are some maggots left for analysis somewhere?

Would the worker know and recognize the odor of chloroform?  Were the maggots unaffected?  Did LE find any maggots in the car?  What did Cindy use to clean the car?  Chloroform?

Who in the Anthony family would have access to industrial volumes of chloroform?  Even smaller quantities?

Strands of hair are an excellent source to identify chemical/substance use.  A strand of hair can provide a history of drug use.  LE knows more about that hair than has been said.  That hair can identify anything that has been in her body for months.

I wondered the same thing, as I know that a form of drug testing is to use hair samples.  My thoughts are maybe this is the further evidence that they are still awaiting test results on.  Toxicollogy reports always seem to take the longest IMO.

They can identify EVERY drug which a person has used for months. The longer the hair, the longer timeline they can make. The Body Farm, at U.T. has done some astonishing work on deceased bodies in this. I am sure when the Body Farm people came into this investigation, they were given ALL the things available for research.

Maybe the search for a body is part of a clever ruse by LE or lawyer Baez.  Make the real people who have Caylee careless for just a moment...and she will be found.

Bail has already been satisfied on the other 11 charges. The jail is now processing the bonds provided by the clerk. Due to the home confinement requirement the earliest this release could occur is mid morning Friday morning.

The release of Casey Anthony is blocked at this time by a home confinement hold and one other internal “undisclosed” hold. The undisclosed hold, just like last time, will likely be cleared and not delay the release. The home confinement hold will be cleared at the time of release. Since defendant Anthony was already on home confinement the last time she was out on bond, everything should be in place to allow the release to occur in the morning around mid morning.

The release will occur through the front doors of the Booking and Release Center at 3855 John Young Parkway, Orlando. The media restrictions there will be exactly as announced last time. I will resend those restrictions in the next update.

The morning video visit is still showing on the schedule for 9 a.m., but if Casey Anthony is being prepared for release, she will not be available for that visitation. I’ll update you on this later, once I have official information.

what if this new bail posting is just another attempt by the defense and Casey to pull searchers from TES and onto the Anthony yard in protest?  I mean this comes the SAME day that the largest amount of searchers have shown up in search of Caylee...
