Here's something to keep in mind when you're watching the "20/20" report on Caylee Anthony tonight.

WFTV-Channel 9 anchor Barbara West shared this news from the ABC newsmagazine: "Cindy and George Anthony now have an agent representing them who is demanding money for any new interview."

The little girl's grandparents participate in the "20/20" interview at 10 tonight on WFTV. But Casey Anthony, Caylee's mother, is not interviewed.

ABC did not pay the grandparents -- paying for interviews is against ABC News policy. ABC News said it did license the home video and photographs that you'll see in the report. Translation: The network paid a fee to the family's attorney. ABC noted that licensing is a standard industry practice.

He said that the car was abandoned on the 27th. Casey stated she ran out of gas and that the car broke down (2 different stories).  He then asked if the car was out of gas, how was it driven home and no one said it was out of gas.

Could the car have been on "E" but not out completely out of gas? George didn't start it, he just glanced at it and assumed it was out of gas and added gas, as he knew Casey had run it out of gas before.

Hi guys...newbie here.  I've been reading posts for quite some time but just got around to registering.  I live in central Florida and am so saddened by this case!!! I am so angry that Casey is once again out of jail, so I thought venting might help my anger!!!

FYI....Channel 9 news just showed video clips of OCSD, with dogs, searching the back yard of a house a few doors down from the Anthonys.  Deputies would not comment but referred them to OCSD, who said they would release a statement when they have new information.

Actually, didn't the impound lot manager, Mr. Birch say in the documents that George got a can of gas from his car before starting the Pontiac?  Also, Tony went to New York and Amy to PR and I guess Ricardo to Mexico.  Haven't heard about Ricardo trip. 

So I wonder if it was the other Tony, the one that Jesse G intoduced her to, the cop?

The comment Casey made several times about "feeling Caylee was close to home" has always bothered me. Now, deputies and dogs are searching back yards on the same street.

Did Mark Furhman say for sure that is was 3 plane tickets or could it have been only Amy and Ricardo. Those 2 lived together. I also wonder why Casey didn't go to PR with them if she had the money to pay for tickets for others. I wouldn't wanna be left out if it were me. She didn't have a job so that couldn't stop her... I guess a big question would be, why didn't she go. Did they get the log of guests on the plane to make sure they weren't traveling with a child.

I think the impound guy told the Anthony's they might want to bring some gas because the gauge was on empty.

When I looked at the house, I thought it looked like a vacant house but the cameras didn't focus on the house long...more so on the deputies and dogs.

I think that they looked at the gauge, but I don't remember them trying to start it.. as it was described in the interview.  I'll try researching it again.  I read the documents from WFTV and I tried to go back and read again those posted on this site and could not get them to load fully.   Probably my old laptop. 
Maybe someone else remembers the details better.

So let me get this right...Casey buys Amy a ticket to PR and then when Amy gets back claims that Casey stole her checkbook/wrote checks out on her account. If my friend bought me an AP ticket to PR (I'd never let a friend do that) I turn her in when I get back because I discover that she stole checks/wrote checks out of my account. (wouldn't take a dime out of anyone's, let alone a friend's change cup) This sounds to me like another one of Cindy's  "stretching is not a lie"  stories!

IIRC in the 400 documents, it was said that Casey didn't go to PR due to financial reasons.  I think that was the way it was stated.   Ironic, isn't it?

Furman did not say it was for this most recent trip. he just said she had bought tickets for them.

I don't know whats going on but I live in Maine and my local news channel had a lead up saying that they have found a body that appears to be a child but haven't confirmed if it is Caylee's - why would that get to maine first? I'm waiting to hear anymore on it.

you have to have a CC to buy a ticket these days, and when you go to the kiosk (@ us airways at least, they are unmanned) you need a CC to stick in the machine to get your boarding pass... not a license... don't ask me why, I have no idea... but just did it. Channel 9 news said it was an exclusive breaking story at 5:30.  House was several houses down the street, per the report.  Maybe it was on the opposite side of the street? Channel 9 should have something online soon....maybe?

Well, as far as the gas cans, I have thought about  it when I am filling up gas cans for generator use, and I cannot see Case Face carrying those cans too far if t hey were full.... they are heavy! Even the 2 1/2 gallon ones.... I always have to get my son to carry them...

I am contemplating each new piece of information that comes out and putting it with the rest.  The puzzle is beginning to form a picture for me.  At this time the evidence shows Cayley's dead body was in the trunk of the car.  DNA from the hair strands could not identify if it was Casey or Caylee's hair, but it came from a deceased person.  Since Casey is alive, it must be Caylee's hair.  If the hair is genetically the same for both Casey and Caylee, then they must have the same father, as the mother passes her chromosomes to the child and the child inherits another set of chromosomes from the father.  This can only happen when Casey and Caley have the same father. 

Casey and Caylee exhibit signs of sexual abuse.  I won't go into all the signs now, but they are in the 400 pages of documents.  Promiscuity, flirting behaviors in the child, etc.

Significant signs of chloroform in the trunk.  It is used in deviant sexual practices as well as amongst the young and hip.  Poster on Ricardo's website says "Woo her with chloroform." 

Casey often spent the night with Ricardo from January to March when dating him.  Caylee also spent the night in the same bed with them.  (in the docs)

Casey, with no sign of an income, purchased plane tickets for Ricardo, Amy and Tony to Mexico, PR and Texas. Why?  Was this vacation or business? 

Were these people involved in a child pornography ring?  Did Casey use Caylee in creating child porn?  this is a highly lucrative business.

Who was the guy who visited Casey the first few days she was in jail?  She didn't seem to know him, but he told her "we're behind you."  He said he was a friend of Mike Walker (I think that's the name).  Was he telling Casey she would be protected by the money of this child porn ring?  Did they pay for her attorney?

Is this why charges have not yet been filed?  Will the cops bring this ring down when they charge Casey?

I told you it was distasteful and not to read this post.  Each new piece of information that comes out seems to point to this. 

Sounds to me like casey put the tickets on a credit card and they paid her the cash...JMO of course...another way for casey to get her hands on some cash

what about if George and Cindy cleaned the car and tried to eliminate any kind of evidence before they confronted Casey......maybe they know that they helped to clean possible evidences but at the time they didn't know that Caylee was alive or dead....
It is difficult for me to believe that the GP have something to do with Caylee disappearance. They just want to believe in their Daughert and her lies give them some kind of hope

It's been difficult for me to consider this possibility as it is just abhorrent to any normal person.  However, when I consider each piece of evidence, and some of it is bizarre evidence, it fits together into this picture.  References have been to Casey's "new group of friends." G and C make it sound like a teenager falling into a fast crowd.  I think there is more than that to it. 

So sorry SS-my son had AML....we can't understand how someone could inflict or allow something to happen to a precious child when we fought so hard to keep ours! ::MonkeyNoNo::

Could the involvement of the FBI also indicate a federal crime like child pornography?  Generally, state and local LE handle crimes committed in their jurisdiction.  However, FBI were called into this early on.

Judging from Cindy's words in the 911 calls of July 15th ... I believe she was kept in the dark.

However ... George and Casey never anticipated Cindy phoning 911 and ... exposing the "dead body smell" in Casey's vehicle ... revealing that Cayee has been missing for a month ...

I contend that following those 911 calls ... Cindy was filled in by Casey and George in regards to the happenings encompassing Caylee and ... immediately Cindy did a flip flop ... she went into damage control.  Cindy realized she would never be able to hold her precious grandaughter again but ... she also realized that George and Casey's freedom was at risk.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- It was a much calmer atmosphere than the frenzy that erupted in the street where the Anthonys live a week ago when Casey Anthony, mother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, was taken back to jail.

This time, people are skeptical that Anthony's return home will produce new leads to her daughter's whereabouts.

Before and after Anthony arrived, people gathered on the sidewalks and in the streets, including some of the Anthony's neighbors they watched and wondered when the crush of media would end and when or if missing 3-year-old Caylee might be found.

"It's heartbreaking to see. She's an adorable little girl, and who knows what happened to her?" neighbor Bridgett Velasquez said.

"She's in jail she's out of jail, she's in jail. I just want the madness to end, is what I want. I want some conclusion drawn to see this over with," neighbor Bailey Dickens said.

Cherokee Railing, 2 1/2, held a sign that read: "How could you kill a baby like me?"

But her mom said she has not searched for Caylee.

"I have not because I am a stay-at-home mom. I have two children, but I did speak to my husband last night and he doesn't work weekends and so I'm going to go Sunday and help search," Amber Railing said.

"There's people out there looking, spending their time and their days looking for her daughter and she [Casey] knows where she's at. That's ridiculous," protester Jeff Swick said.

After Anthony got home, a corrections officer verified her home monitoring equipment was working properly.

Some people said they showed up to help search for Caylee, but no one would answer the door.

The president of the Homeowner's Association in the Anthonys' East Orange County neighborhood towed away the large billboard featuring Caylee's picture that had been set up in front of the home because officials said it was blocking the sidewalk.

The Anthonys have made no comment to the media on Friday.

As I've watched Casey on video the past couple months, she seems very cold, very unemotional, and very manipulative.  She's all business when her friends and family are hystical over the missing child.  No, she wasn't in shock--it doesn't look like that.  She is emotionally cold and calculating enough to view her child as a piece of meat to sell for a very good price.  Casey has traded on her looks and body all her life, and would not hesitate to use Caylee the same way if she could profit from it.  Especially if she felt that she could anesthetize Caylee and she would not remember anything.  This would give Casey a sense of freedom from discovery of her crime.

ZALady ... you and I seem to click on most aspects of this case.  However ... unless there is some substantial foundation of proof that sexual abuse is even an issue in this case ... I feel uncomfortable going there.

I do agree that Casey will never lead authorities to Caylee's remains.  I contend that Caylee's remains will reveal evidence that she did not loose her life as a result of an impulsive action that could not be taken back or ... an accident.  In other words ... Janet, the visit to the Anthony home by the head of the Sex Crimes Unit is a red flag.  Casey's own promiscuity is another red flag.  Caylee exhibited flirting behaviors with men that were remarked upon by Casey's friends.  She slept in bed with Casey and Ricardo.  It bothers me that these people take these behaviors and actions as normal.  This is because they are normal in this perverted business.  However, it is NOT normal by any stretch of the definition in the average community.

No.  I think chloroform is shocking since it's illegal and very dangerous.  Take it one step further.  Why would you use chloroform?  It renders a person unconscious for a short period of time--certainly not enough time to go out partying without the person waking up in about an hour or so.  So, why would someone want a 3 year old girl unconscious for an hour?

Hearing other's theories is good in my opinion.  It often helps one to consider and work out possible theories they might not have thought of otherwise. 
I guess I could say that I do think there is a reason, other than an accident, that Caylee has disappeared.
Upon learning that chloroform is effective for short periods of time is concerning.  Initially I thought it might have been to put the baby to sleep

My sister is a cop, my boyfriend is in the emergency medical field, and I've been in the mental health field (including sex offender education and treatment of incarcerated individuals) for 22 years.  The three of us have basically seen it all - and worse.  We've discussed this angle of the situation at length and in depth, and we've all come to the same conclusions you have.  The addition of the chloroform angle is sinister indeed.  Someone wanted this child unconscious - or close to it - for short periods of time.  The question is, who and why?  Child porn is definitely on the short-list, as is abuse by a pedophile.

No one wants to believe these things go on and people don't like to talk about it, but believe me, it's not an uncommon scenario at all.  I can't begin to tell you how many men I've had in group treatment who were having intercourse with their daughters and stepdaughters and granddaughters.  It happens all the time.

Sorry I was trying to find any additional info - anyhow because I couldn't find anything on the news station's website I called my son who works in television news but not in Maine. He has friend's here because this is where he grew up & went to school. Asked him if he might have any ideas. Turns out that the lead up was for my (Maine) 11:00 pm broadcast and he told me that its not unheard of to pull a 6 pm story and push it back to the late evening broadcast - especially if - he mentioned many but two that struck me were, involves a minor child & ongoing homicide investigation + high profile. I'm sorry for jumping the gun, I guess my emotions are a little raw tonight.

I have been wondering about the chloroform and the swimming pool and how you could combine them.  What if KC had accidentally killed Caylee with too much chloroform (insert whatever reason she was using it here).  She freaks out, because there will be no way to explain it and decides to take Caylee to the house and put her in the pool so she can say she "drowned".  At some point one of 2 things happen:
1.  She can't get ahold of anyone (remember the flurry of calls) to tell about it (mom, dad...)
2.  Somebody tells her that the police will know she was dead before she went into the water (LE friend?) because there
     will be no fluid in the lungs (she missed that CSI show)

That would explain the "hit" by the pool by the dogs, the dirt in the trunk and could tie the 2 together.
Of course, they could be independent of each other as well,  just thinkin...

Switchy, I just cannot find any other explanation for the facts we have been given by LE as well as the observations we've documented.  I wish I could.  This conclusion isn't just shocking, but it truly makes it difficult to view the video and pictures of this little girl.   It's really distressing to me that people look at pictures of Casey and Caylee and the other Anthony's and comment upon how "normal" and "nice" they appear.  I hope people following this case become more aware of what is "normal" behavior and what is not.   These people are depraved.

When I worked with pedophiles I always marveled at how "normal" they seemed.  Just like a group of any other men.  Scared the crap out of me honestly.  But it makes sense.  In order to gain access to child victim, you have to groom the child's caretakers in order to get the child alone and in a position to be assaulted.  Invariably, the friends and co-workers all thought these were "great guys" and "great dads" and "great soccer coaches."  People TRUSTED them.  That was probably true of the Anthony's until they came under the microscope and haven't been able to lie and manipulate their way out of this.

AZ, I have had suspicions about the Mom's lifestyle and some things Caylee might have been exposed to or part of. When you put camera/film interests and drugs together with a child being taken to parties it gives me reason to suspect. Also when added to the points you have brought up it is an all too real possibility. I don't like the thought of Caylee or any child to go through that trauma and I pray it is not the case.

If the hair is genetically the same for both Casey and Caylee, then they must have the same father, as the mother passes her chromosomes to the child and the child inherits another set of chromosomes from the father.  This can only happen when Casey and Caley have the same father.
 

I am not a DNA expert but I believe there are two kinds of testing: nuclear and mitochondrial.  Mitochondrial DNA testing only confirms maternal lineage (the mitochondria only has maternal genes).  Nuclear DNA has both maternal and paternal genes.  If the hair did not have a good root, I don't believe that nuclear DNA could be extracted.  The hair shaft can yield mitochondrial DNA but no nuclear.  They may not be able to test for the paternal lineage.   :smt102

Nuclear DNA Testing: Within the cell nucleus, there is nuclear DNA. The nuclear DNA contains sequences which make up what is called chromosomes. One half of the nuclear DNA is inherited from the mother and the other half is inherited from the father. Nuclear DNA parentage testing provides an alternative to more conventional parentage blood testing methods. One factor which makes nuclear DNA testing useful in international cases is that the DNA tests do not require the use of live blood samples. Parentage Blood Testing: Basic blood testing of the ABO, Rh and MN groupings does not constitute parentage blood testing. Parentage blood testing discloses the presence of specific antigens to indicate a particular genetic composition or "marker". The statistical analysis of the blood test results provides a likelihood of paternity if the putative parent is not excluded. Any parentage blood testing of a child, mother and father should involve a hierarchy of systems to establish the relative chance of paternity based on the probability of exclusion. That means that if a putative parent is not excluded by the basic red cell antigen test, further testing of the sample will be conducted until the putative parent is excluded or a likelihood of parentage can be calculated with an inclusion rate considered valid under the AMA/ABA Guidelines. Parentage blood tests include the basic red cell antigens, extended red cell antigens, red cell enzymes and serum proteins, and white cell enzymes. If the test results are inconclusive, the complete series of testing may be necessary, including testing of white cell antigens (Human Leukocyte Antigens or HLA). Electrophoresis testing of the red cell enzymes and serum proteins and HLA testing are highly sophisticated procedures which generally can be conducted only at a laboratory involved in organ transplant donor identification.

I wish I could see what you saw!!! Maybe they have info but aren't allowed to say anything about finding a body unless they get some kind of additional info. I really hope they did find something regarding this case.

they already KNOW WHO THE MOTHER IS.

THEY don't know who the father is.

they are looking for specific markers.

they want to rule in or out someone or somebodies.

it's not that complicated when you understand how this works and what is going on in the case.

this will take longer than some of the other tests, because it is not high priority.

The high priority testing was done to determine if Caylee was alive or dead and if the LE should be looking for a live, living, breathing person in distress. That was ruled out. The remaining tests are not as time sensitive as the others.

I  would think she would have noticed some physical signs .

Yes, I would agree that Cindy might have noticed physical signs, particularly because she is a nurse, if abuse occurred during the time Caylee was still living there. 
If this began after Casey left June l5th or 16th - then Cindy did not see Caylee during those 31 days.

OK, let's backtrack.

Did we learn that they found chloroform in the trunk or did they say they found evidence of chloroform in the trunk?

Did they say that the cloroform was identified in the strands of hair or did they say they found chloroform in an isolated form in the trun?  Technically, Caylee's hair was found in the trunk.

This piece of evidence was intentionally linked.  I don't recall that anyone gave the exact form that the chloroform was in.  I recall that it was just said that there was evidence of chloroform found in the trunk.  That could actually have been as a result of testing Caylee's hair or the spot in the trunk.  The quantity that was actually found in the trunk might not have been very large.

Yes, it sure would be interesting to know.

What if 20/20 does a live shot at the Anthony home? Baez would need to be there to tell Diane Sawyer or whoever "I'm sorry, but we can't answer that due to an ongoing investigation"

What if George drove home with the windows down because, after all, there was that horrible smell.

Theory:  Casey did in house or yard.  Buried in yard.  Moved to the car for several days.
Came home for ? reason (get clean clothes, get gas cans, get help from Dad).  Body removed from car and put in freezer.  Can't get smell out of car.  Try cleaning/sanitizing for DNA.  Abandon car.  Smell still there though.

Remember, we heard that LE has over 20 pieces of evidence/results that they have not yet released the information on to the public.

Also,  LP saying on NG that after last Wed. the A's attitude changed.  Well...didn't we already find out that last Wed. Lee, Cindy and Casey were told of the evidence the LE has??  LP said tonight that they "know" what happened to Caylee.

I HIGHLY DOUBT that it was because Casey told Lee and then Lee told Cindy.  That part doesn't make sense to me.

Janet, I agree with what you are saying because I researched the types of DNA testing, also.  Something continues to nag at me though.  This is such a high profile case with so many possible motives and people involved.  Testing was done at The Body Farm in Tennessee and at Quantico.  I would think that LE would have done all types of DNA testing and several times for accuracy.  It did take weeks before the DNA results were leaked.  I feel that they probably did both DNA tests.

I dont think this is true because there is a woman on Nancy Grace right now who is part of that Texas search and she has yet to bring that up. As a matter of fact she said they are searching tomorrow.

But, but he said there was no smell except pizza!  and then later someone else put a body in the trunk.  And if someone drove with the windows down, would the air in the car still be saturated?  And if it was done before it was brought back home, how and when would it have been used?  When it ran out of gas? And the expert just said you wouldn't necessarily be able to "smell" it, so that couldn't be the smell that made George open the windows right?  Wish I knew when they took that test.  Did they ever release anything that normal people can see or does just the media have it?  Too few actual info facts for me.

I had a car that had a huge crack in the muffler and when I went to get it inspected it was discovered. This car did not have a back seat or a fold down back seat. The guy that found that crack said to me ~ I can't believe you're not dead.

I knew he was talking about the carbon monoxide. With a seat that folds down and blocks the trunk or a car that has a completely blocked trunk by the back seat - it is possible that George did not smell or notice the chloroform.

it is not an open air situation and not a car with no back seat.

The amount of chloroform could be as Klaas said - in a testing situation only and not something that someone would notice.

On the Season Finale, May 18th...here is part of the plot summary.

Are you guys watching Nancy Grace? They had an expert on there and he said if a cloth was used to put Caylee out that the fumes from the cloth that were in that trunk would have become potent since the trunk would have been closed. He said not much of the fumes would have been coming out of the trunk if the trunk was closed. Im thinking George could have drivin.

Has any one been seen at the house that looked like they could have been setting up cameras, etc. for 20/20?

First post. I'm from Australia... Ive only been tracking this case for the last month when i came across a youtube video of Caylee and this story has broken my heart!
Ive read every word of the 400+ page document and the amount of lies Casey told makes me believe she did something bad to her baby - otherwise, why the lies?
However, a still have some (very small) hope that she is alive - maybe I'm just naive.
So, i have to ask........

Does anyone think Caylee may still be alive?

It was implied a couple pages back in a post that Mitochondrial DNA testing takes a shorter period of time to determine results.  It could be that further DNA results are forthcoming.  Hey ... I do not have a clue.

Keep in mind ... the purpose of the testing was to determine if Caylee's DNA was present in the trunk of that vehicle.  It only takes Mitochondrial testing to determine that.

However ... I believe that there should be an official confirmation regarding what types of DNA testing was conducted prior to implying that Lee or George Anthony is Caylee's father.  I contend that our speculation should have some boundaries.
