Whatching the late news I was impressed with a few things.

1) Our congress is concerned with online predators, and is tring to tweak a program among the big ones, like Tickle, Zorpia, My Space.  They want totake away some of the information categories to limit the amt of personal info that can be shared,

2) Our congressmen are aslo concerned with online predators and the amount of video showing young girls in gang bangs, Rave orgyies, and other disgusting and degrading pornography tapes.  They are working with the credit card companies, to make it illegal to purchase onlne porn with a credit/bank card.  EaEuropean & Eastern Countries are moving slower at this.

3) Here in GA, Fresh Express is reporting that a dead bat was mixed in the line with greens and no one stopped the belt to remove the bat, remove the greens in contact with the bat and sanitize the conveyer, Yuck, this was weeks ago,  Yhey worked with that dead bat present all day, YIKES.

I'm at least glad that peopla are starting to pay enough aattention to what's happening and are willing to work to change it.  But gee, how did we get this far already?

He had on Wendy Murphy and some stupid lawyer that is reping some perv that is being held because he had 10,000 pics and videos of child porn in his home. the lawyer was sane for most of the interview but at the end he showed his true colors. he said he sympathized with the perv!! claiming the perv "never touched any child. he was watching and looking at these things alone in the privacy of his own home"!!!!!!!!! BOR made the point that the children in these pics and viseo were obviously harmed and even though this perv didnt make the pics and tapes he was contributing to it by buying it and watching it. The lawyer only wanted this perv to serve 90 days with probation and counciling! Wendy wanted 10 years in prison. We love you Wendy!!
So yes we seem to be making some progress but not nearly enough when these lawyers are running around spewing this insanity. Sick!!

It seems the Twittys were planing a boycott as early as June 2nd. Jug said in the lobby of the HI that the ALE better find Natalee or the were going to go on TV and expose Aruba for what it is and the networks were going to pay them for their story! Morning Klaas...since I  lived in Jamaica for nearly 10 years I think I can answer this....the machete is a tool used by many of the 'country people' ....and most carry them along with them...to cut bananas, dig for yams etc....and also for defense.....I never got used to seeing people walk around with these very SHARP tools/weapons :shock:

I bet Carlos and Charlies is her first stop..no doubt on Ladies Night.   :lol:

California prosecutors have offered a plea bargain to one-time JonBenet Ramsey murder suspect John Karr. The deal would reduce the number of child porn possession charges against him and free him with no additional jail time.
   

Prosecutors say they'll waive 3 of the 5 charges in return for a guilty plea on the other two. Karr would be required to register as a sex offender, obligating him to report his whereabouts to local police wherever he lives.

He'd also be put on 3 years probation. The offer was made in open court after a judge set Karr's bail at $200,000, calling him a flight risk.

Karr's attorney says he'll discuss the offer with his client, but insists Karr is innocent. Karr's trial is set for October 2nd.

I do wonder about JQK’s silence.  Serving Joran was almost a fluke that happened because the opportunity was presented.  JQK had signed on before that and said they had several things in the works.  But, we have heard very little since the NYC judge got cold feet about trying the civil case.

Several months ago a friend of mine said that a good friend of his in the polis department told him, “If you want the case resolved, you have to talk to Koen.”  Why do you think that is?  Was it because Koen was such a close friend to Joran, or because he had a boat in the water that night?

What do we know about the Gottenbos family besides the fact they left Aruba in a hurry during the early days of the summer of 2005?

Easy - I'm not sure they left Aruba in a hurry in 2005.  Aruban poster Linda said they were still in Aruba, she saw the family at the movies or something.  The same poster, Linda is saying they have now moved to the states.  So who really knows?

i find it really, really interesting that his younger brother went in for questioning but never Koen... why??

Koen is supposedly the witness that Dave wanted Dompig to speak with personally.  As we know, that didn't happen; in fact, someone spoke to his father but not to him.  Dave said the witness was very nervous and supposedly Koen was very afraid for some reason - thus the story that he slept with his parents.  No reason for Koen to be so nervous if he didn't know something, yet ALE didn't pursue it, to the best of our knowledge.  Now your friend tells you this - there's something there, but will the Dutch pursue it?  Is this Larry's witness?  Stay tuned.

I'm told Koen did leave the island last summer.  He may have returned for visits, but he left Aruba quickly last summer after Fox and other networks started to setup on the island.  I also hear that the family is still in Holland.  You are right, who really knows anymore.

I'm not sure how far from the ocean but not very.  Pretty far from the refinery though.  The refinery is closer to Baby Beach which is at the far south end of the island.

Actually, Lorenzo and Shango don't really fit together well.  The only mention is the fact that he can't be touched. I am still uncertain on that one and then if you believe that Simian was speaking of him as the party person, then maybe you can intertwine Lorenzo. Otherwise, he's pretty much an enigma all his own...but I know Klaas likes to talk about him. She suspects, as many of us do, that he is involved in some way.

I might disagree, here....NJ has Long Beach Island which is about 22 miles long, which may be a mile or two off, give or take.  I just found this. and have always felt that something may have happened on the refinery end, or baby beach....or at the other 'lighthouse' at that end...where the sharks supposedly feed.  Aruba is not that big, and Lorenzo's house is just as close or closer than VDS, Gottenbos & 2K's houses are to the hotel area...looking at your map, it's not really that far by car....jmho

I doubt this "couple" exists because if two people felt so bothered by 2 men and a drunk girl and reported it to a security guard  prior to Natalee's disappearance being reported, what happened to them after her case became a huge news story?  It sounds as if it was a made up  story to test this man.

This idea has been on my mind for a long time but I have always hesitated in posting it but I will now:
This is how my mind works.
The VdS's had a delivery from Dana (Furniture) in June 2005.  First, it was reported that it was dog food and poo-pood as being a trivial matter. Then the story became that it was a bookcase because Paul was working from the house and needed more shelf space.  Since most people with a home office have some sort of shelving, it sounded as if Paul was adding an additional bookcase and then I saw an ad for Dana Furniture and noticed that their bookcases are the kind you put together like a box then add the movable shelves.  Not an expensive piece but functional.
After taking into consideration many things and not wanting to get into explicit details - could Paul have needed to replace a bookcase that had been removed from the house after May 29th?

Why would it need replacing?  How does a book shelf fit in?  I should get it but I'm not.

Using a bookcase sans shelves to transport a body is less messy than a blanket but more than one person has to carry it.  And the wood and wood particles in a cheapie bookcase are easy to burn.

I was recalling the heated discussions of the Dana delivery of dog food versus a bookcase and thinking of why anyone would get so annoyed about a simple piece of furniture.  The timing of this delivery was during a suppossedly high stress period when Joran was first arrested and when Paul was not actively employed.  Buying a bookcase during that timeframe seemed odd.

I didn't know that, I thought that rigor mortis happened hours after death and it was permanent.  There must have been a span of time between knowing that death had occured, deciding how to dispose of the body and actually doing it.   (It is really hard to type this.)
Therefore, the body might have been in a very unflexable state.  
I wonder how people transport and bury their animals at the pet cemetary - do they use a wooden box or a garbage bag?

Good Morning!  Sorry if I worried y'all!  I had a chance to go to Ft. Walton Beach with my neighbor, her sister and three teenagers,(one of them, mine).  What was I thinking?  Weather was nice a couple days, overcast a couple days.  Very nice beach.  

The tooth is still troubling me.  And my oral surgeon that started it all left yesterday for SPAIN!  Good grief!  Just takes me a  little extra recovery time.  I went to my regular dentist yesterday afternoon and he said it looks okay and we went over the medication plan again.  So not to worry.  Stupid cyst that was around my wisdom tooth was biopsied, sent to Emory and came back as nothing.  Just a stupid cyst.  A very painful experience.

Oh Peaches, I can sympathize with you.  As I mentioned I had a cyst too over my tooth (size of a quarter) and it took a good while before all the pain went away.  I was certain that it was not healing right and went back to my surgeon and he assured me it was, that the process is just a slow one. hang in there baby....

Aruba police under pressure  

THE HAGUE/ARUBA – “When it comes to combating criminality, like drug dealing, our police officers are pressured”, explained Prime Minister Nelson Oduber (MEP) the protocol for the cooperation with the Dutch police today.  

That’s the reason why Aruba wants support from the Netherlands to see how to cope with this and how to resist the tempting corruption.

“The Netherlands is also faced with these problems on a daily basis and has therefore a lot of experience in this field.  We want to learn from that experience.”

Oduber also indicated that Aruba is striving for this same kind of cooperation in other areas, like border control.  Aruba has already contacted the Royal Military Police about this.  “We live from tourism.  Since the terrorist attacks in the United States, all sorts of international measures were announced and we have to comply with those.  We would like to interpret these well, so that the tourism do not experience unfavourable effects of these.”

The article we're seeing about the Dutch polis assistance - reminds me of the fancy jets (F16s?) that came to search for Natalee. Maybe they did, but I think it was a map project with a convenient tie-in.

Starting in Jan 2007, US tourists will need a passport to re-enter the US from abroad. Ergo, they will need passports to LEAVE for places like Aruba. That might slow down tourism abroad, even to Canada on a day-trip (which is not a popular thing in those border states).

Meanwhile, Aruba has claimed a flood of immigrants, many or most illegal, from various South American countries - we've seen several articles about that during the last year+. Not to mention the various illegals who were "witnesses" ... the gardener, the "condom" witness ...

Could be, but they sounded more articulate and refined than I've ever heard Julia speak.  But I don't go to RU to see how she writes.  The total denial of racial issues in Aruba sounds like her though.  Along with the arrest of the guards, the "cowboys" statement by KJ, and GVC taking his blankets and pillows to jail, I seem to recall there was some discontent when the Dutch did the re-enactment because the person playing Joran wasn't white.  Whoever it is does sound like they're American though.

Re: Latest statement.  I suppose this "M" is one of the leads Taco was talking about, pointing away from Joran.  At about 2:30 you have 2 male individuals, 1 a known criminal, walking north in the direction of the Marriott.  You have a possible report that night by a couple staying at the HI, of seeing 2 men with a drunk girl on the beach north of the HI.  And then "M" and friend are not seen at the hotel again. Put it together and the possible scenario would be that Natalee is intercepted on her way back from the FH by "M" and his accomplice, who somehow get her off the beach and disappear her.  Not too implausable so far, except for the unlikely coincidence of Natalee entering into one dangerous siruation, girl alone in car with 3 male strangers, and emerging unscathed, only to promptly fall prey to some completely random persons.  But then Joran just happens to make himself look guilty by lying to police multiple times about where he last saw Natalee, how he got home, ect?  Don't think so.

End of the month one representative of the KLPD will be on the island to meet the investgating team. He will go through the Dossier and return to Holland to make an assessment of what has been done, and if everything possible was done to solve the case. Based on that they will make a plan to further investigate or start a new one.

They will send 8 investigators to Aruba and they are NOT to investigate if there are flaws in the initial investigation but to compliment the job.

OK... I was just at the Court doing a filing ... and saw a car that had an aruba sticker... I wrote on a post it note Aruba sucks, it's the home of murderers that roam free, but I was afraid it was the judge's car... and that the bailiff would nab me...

To me, this just says that the Dutch are going to investigate Holloway, not ALE, KJ or the Judges.  If the Dutch do investigate the Holloway case, however, they will find some rather odd actions on the part of ALE, KJ and/or the Judges and perhaps some missing links.  What will they do then?  If they have to investigate the investigators in order to solve the Holloway case, will they?  I think not, but I'll try to be positive.

Why doesn't the ONE individual from KLPD phone up the ONE individual that was sent in from Curacao to investigate the investigation... remember that?  They could obviously answer the question if everything was done to solve the case etc....

I don't understand how the 2nd step (sending in 8 people) fits into the first step... I think MF has left out some details... AT least I hope so.

I think someone explained that all they checked during that review was whether or not the investigation had been conducted in accordance with the laws of Aruba.  They did not review or comment on the quality of the investigation.

July 8: HI security guard gives statement in which he describes seeing a known criminal with another man on the beach at around 2:30 am, neither of whom has ever returned to the HI. Shizaru - it was mentioned in one of the interviews, but I don't remember which one, that there were other American students (other than MB kids) also staying at the HI Inn durring that period.  There's nothing to say that the kids that were swimming that night were MB kids.  Plus, as the SM front page eludes to...it's extreemly dark..how could the SR even see the kids let alone know that they were skinny dipping??

So if this is true, why didnt this security guard go tell them to put their clothes on?  Does the Holliday Inn condone a bunch of naked kids running around all over their beach?  It seems if this security guards story were true, he would have either went and took care of this or radio'ed another guard to take care of it  Seems this would be part of the job of a security guard.  After all, he radioed someone else about the most dangerous mister "M"  :roll:

I'll edit it to say "they appear to be skinny dipping".  I've decided the best way to write up the timeline entries is as if every witness is being truthful, otherwise I have to keep  saying "allegedly" almost every sentence.  

I have to say the front page seems a bit contradictory, if visibility was so poor that the guard couldn't tell if the kids were skinny dipping or not, then why is it significant that the guard never saw Joran and Natalee on the Marriott beach, more than 500 yards away?

It almost seems that after their frame job on the 2 security guards fell through, this was the best thing they could come up with afterwards.  I'd like to know if the rumors of Natalee still being alive and maybe living on another island were running rampant around the time this statement was made.

Boy, i'm just a bundle of pessimism tonight but , I have no faith at all in this "Dutch Investigation"  One of the big reasons is - it seems to be starting out the exact same way that the "aruban investigation" started out.  Why are they being so hush hush about everything?   They can see that there are alot of questions out there flying around and they are doing nothing to address them.  As soon as an agreement was made, there should have been a press conference or at least a friggen interview stating who is in charge, what the game plan, what is the timeline, and maybe take a couple of questions.  What ever happened to this "excellent attorney" or whatever they sent months ago to "investigate the investigation"  Hopefully Beth will get answers to these questions when she goes there.  If not, we know its just more of the same old same old.

The Steve Hodel interview sounds interesting.  That strange case has caused many stories to circulate for years.  He must have some strong evidence, or he just hates his dad in a BIG way!

I guess so, but that is very disheartening.  Some of us always hope something would break in the case that made a difference.  That one voice with a conscience that felt truth was more important than animosity toward the hand that feeds.

Whoa now, I never said it is over and I never said it was time to move on.  I still have hope there will be a break in the case somewhere somehow.  I just dont believe this Dutch investigation is going to provide it.  Pretty much everything HAS been speculation up to this point, that doesnt mean there will never be a break.  I'll support Beth until there is an answer or SHE says its over (or until aruba gets swallowed up by a fissure or something :wink: )

How much they loose   and for how long is what future events will have an impact on.  To me  it's not too late for the people of Aruba to do something to become visible and speak out.

I must say if the number of people that protested Beth's use of the the word  "Criminal"  would again take to the street and protest the actions of their leaders,  I might mellow out a bit...

But that would be another staged demonstration and the organizer(s) might be unavailable at this time.

Oldfart - thanks for asking!  It went great!  There were about 20 adult students and they were all very nice.  The normal teacher left excellent instructions and I had no problems.  Actually, I did have one problem with one student that couldn't remember any of her passwords  :wink:

Actually, it was a password to the program they needed to get into.  It's an online program and when you register you give them your email address.  So....

#1.  She forgot her password to that program
#2.  When I told her to log into her AOL account so she could retrieve her password, she couldn't remember the password to her AOL account.
#3.  So, I walked her through setting up a Hotmail email address and had her re-register for the online course and she was able to get in.  Then I made her write her new email account and password down.  :lol:

Klaas, thanks for posting the Jane Goodall link.  I listened to about half of the interview and the interviewer was quite polite and gentlemanly with Ms. Goodall.  It does make me feel a bit more optimistic about Beth interviewing with him.  We are all so protective of Beth now, and don't want to see her treated unfairly (as we've seen in the past).  

I wonder if the Dutch are just as puzzled by this investigation as we are.  Remember, some Dutch criminologists did come out with statements about the Aruban investigation that reflected our own disbelief at their actions.  Perhaps this interviewer wants to discuss with Beth the apparent cover-up and ineptitude of the Aruban LE.  From what I have read, many of the Dutch are unhappy with the Antillean immigrants who have few skills and are largely unemployed, living off the Dutch version of welfare.  Perhaps featuring Beth on his program in a favorable light would be a popular move to gain ratings in Holland.  Who knows?  I'm writing a bit in a stream of consciousness manner trying to figure out the motivations of this interviewer and Beth's reasons for accepting his invitation to be on his show.  Beth and her team should have researched this and know what they are doing in making such a move, so I have to believe it will be helpful in convincing the Dutch to launch a genuine investigation.

I have to chime in that I agree with SB too, I also have never believed the island of Aruba was so large that most of these people don't know one another, at least those who work in government and their offspring. I don't think someone random was involved nor do I think that the ALE and Stratten haven't known the entire real deal since June 10th of last year if not before. Perhaps not every detail but the big picture, yessirree.

The local print media hung up on Natalee about June 15th of LAST year, but I expected that.

Is there any other equation?  Everything they have said or done points to them being guilty, regardless of the level of guilt.  Even if they left her with another party thinking she would just go back to the states the next day I am sure they have contacted this person and asked what happened.  They know what happened to Natalee, or know what happened leading up to her death.  They are guilty.

My biggest question is has it been proved and swept away or does the Dutch governement really have the job of trying to find some proof?  I just hope this isn't a show to try to get tourism back on board.

Hi None.  You're right, it was Sunfreak.  Katz is the one who had breakfast with Jamie Skeeters.  
 
I had a dentigerous cyst.  It forms around an unerupted tooth.  And it hurts.  The doc biopsied and removed the cyst.  Pathology report said benign.   No biggie.  Just takes me a while to heal because I'm still doing chemo.

OT but real quick...

Police went thru the garbage of the two men visitors who watched movies with Melinda the night Trenton went missing.  In the trash, they found information on how to take care of a baby, what there needs are....

This gave me hope that maybe these two men helped give the baby over to someone and maybe Trenton is still alive.
