The pic of Caylee looks pre-2 years old to me -- maybe a different/newer dressthan one in pic. Too soon to determine one way or another yet.

The dress seems to fit her to me.  The shoulder seems are in the right place and the neck does not seem large.  It is about a size 2, no bigger.  And just think of how many hundreds of thousands of that dress have been sold in Orlando.

OMG!  I have a Minnie Mouse costume, disney made, in my closet, size 5.  My g/d wore it when she was 2 1/2.  But she was a good sized girl, not fat but TALL. 

You guys are right, if this was sent out for testing, maybe it was showing blood stains or something more nefarious.

Tim states the dress was found in good condition.

Ok so LP suggested that Caylee was murdered then put in the pool to make it look like an accident. But then she borrowed the neighbors shovel to fish out the body. But was she frantic when she borrowed the shovel? Probably not so she had to come up with another story. Casey then moved the body into the trunk and the web got tangled from there.

Casey knew from CSI that water wouldn't be in the lungs. Casey knew from the injury that caused the murder that no one would ever believe the drowning story.

Oh did you guys know that someone on Web Sleuths talked to Leanord Padilla today and apparently TES found remains of Caylee?

I have 4 granddaughters, and we end up buying some of the Disney stuff/dresses over and over because they are their favorites. I can't tell you how many pairs of red ruby slippers we have bought, I have one that won't wear any other shoes.

Could also explain buying a bigger one....... I know, it's a reach.

Even if a body of child was floating on top - it just seems impossible.  That would be difficult if not impossible for a very strong man with a shovel.  LP sometimes just states BS - im sorry i know alot of people like him.....but sometimes he just spouts off at the mouth

If Caylee died in the pool, I think Casey put her in there without her floaties.  In other words, I think she intended for the child to drown.  The people who have seen her come and go after she left the house said that the child was not with her.  Tony's place had a pool.  I don't think she would have taken Caylee to the house to swim when she was trying to keep the child from her parents.  Nope.  I just don't think Caylee died in the pool. 

I was thinking the same thing...Maybe about 1 1/2 years old and i think that is a stretch

I highly doubt Casey could have scooped Caylee out with a shovel. That's what it sounded like he was implying..  Casey would have been all wet, and I think the neighbor would have noticed that...  and would have said that she had on a different outfit from when she borrowed the shovel in the first place.

I think LP often throws stuff out there..  possibilities..  and makes them sound like probabilities.  I think he would do better to state "this is my opinion" or "this is just an idea I have", etc...

She had 1 1/2 hours to dry off, or throw the clothes into the dryer, etc. She had the shovel a long time for one little bamboo shoot.

I totally disagree with the prediction the lawyers on NG made about the length of the Grand Jury.

I think they will finish tomorrow with an indictment...possibly by lunch.

The prosecution is absolutely not going to present any more than necessary because it becomes discoverable to the defense.

We're on the same page Hudsunn.  I don't think there was any way in hell casey returned to the house after she left on the 15th or 16th.  (Unless it was to frame Cindy!)

Personally, I think they will make their decision quickly and Casey will be arrested on murder charges.  Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday at the latest. 

It has been leaked that there will be 6 witnesses tomorrow.

I have contended since we first learned about tomorrow's hearing that it may take more than one day for an indictment and subsequent arrest.

Nobody here appreciated that opinion. LOL

Somebody actually posted that here earlier.. I don't remember who.  I believe people said they weren't going to believe any remains were found until Des confirmed it with him herself. 

LP’s words to NG:

Casey kills Caylee, probably via strangulation or a blow to the head that does not break the skin or bleed a lot.  Casey puts Caylee in a trash bag and puts her in the trunk of the car.   Casey takes the body to the house knowing nobody is home.  Casey puts the body in the pool hoping to feign an accidental drowning.  Casey even puts the ladder on the pool to make it look as if Caylee did that and got in herself.  Casey then realizes it won't work, as there will be no water in the lungs.  Casey gets the body out.  Puts it near the playhouse.  Casey changes into dry clothes and goes to the neighbor to borrow a shovel, thinking she will bury Caylee in Cindy's geraniums.  Doesn't work.  Too hard.  Caylee has been dead several hours now.  Casey puts the body in a trash bag and returns it to the trunk.  She drives around but can find no place to put the body.  This goes on for a while.  Eventually she gets rid of the body with help from someone, probably Lee.  (Just a guess there.  Not sure if LP thinks that.)  The bag breaks or leaks.  She attempts to clean it up and thinks she gets it all.  But in a few days, she notices an odor.  The smell gets worse and worse til she abandons the car.

Maybe one of their of their "friends" handed down this dress.  Caylee looks liked she loved to play dress up.  I know I give my daughters clothes to my friends even thought hey are a little big.

I have not heard of this dress before now...

There are 15-21 jurors who all can ask questions. I don't think they could get done by noon, even with only six witnesses. I have heard 6, or some say around a half a dozen, so it could be more. Plus they will always take a morning break, and some lag time between witnesses. I haven't ever seen one get done by lunch, but just in my experience.  ::MonkeyConfused::

I'm also curious about the dress being "in good condition".. what constitutes good for something that has been out in the elements for up to 4 months?

Last week didn't LP say that Tim would find the body within 10 days. And bingo, dress, pings, and remains found about 18 hours before the GJ meets to hand down indictments against Casey.
This is a great example of team work with LE, TES and a sharp bounty hunter. Bravo!

Didn't Tim say he was done and off to fight crime elsewhere? Does that indicate his job is done, he just has to finalize some paperwork and move on to the next heroic mission?

I definitely do not buy that Casey got a dead Caylee out of the pool with a shovel.  My Lord, a dead body is unwieldy enough and well it is a "dead weight" even when dry.  A shovel is used to dig and possibly to bust the lock off a shed or something.  Think of something you would need to do that would require a shovel.  A shovel is for digging.  It might also be effective to knock something off or pry something off, but a crowbar would be more effective for that, and I am as big a girlie girl as Casey ever hoped to be.  I just cannot imagine her scooping a body out of a pool with a shovel.  That would take some real strength.  She told the guy she needed the shovel to dig up some "bamboo shoots she kept tripping over."  But she was not living there anymore and had no plans to return, so why would she keep tripping over bamboo or be worried about that?  I think she thought of digging a hole and burying Caylee there, thinking it is one place nobody would look.  Silly her.  But she either changed her mind or decided it was too hard to dig a hole or the grave would be noticed by someone, perhaps by the dogs.  I think Cindy has two Yorkies.

I can relate to that :-)  but am still enjoying the forum :-)

It should take a little while...unless those witnesses are going to spend only a few minutes each speaking.  Remember they will not be doing anything but providing information...no cross examination or anything.  If they move quickly it could easily happen by Wednesday or Thursday.  All they have to do is show this jury the evidence...if they just hear a few minutes of those tapes of her at Universal with the detectives...they will know she's lying through her teeth.  Then showing them the evidence that there is no nanny and George's testimony...which could be that Casey would not let him in the trunk and how it smelled later could be all they really need to return an indictment.

My grandaughter is 2 years old and is, per her doctor, average sized for her age group. She now wears a size 2 and I can in no way imagine that in one more year she would be wearing a size 6.  Does anyone know what George said Caylee was wearing the last time he saw her? Maybe, if LP's theory about the pool is correct, Caysey would have needed something big and loose to dress Caylee in.  I'm just so frustrated that we don't know any more than we do at this point. We all are so heartbroken over this case and yet there's nothing (other than donating $$$ to help Tim search) that we can do to help!!!

It is unknown whether or not the grand jury will take up the case in the morning or the afternoon.  FOX 35 will carry breaking news if and when a decision is released.  It is our plan to carry court action and news conferences live on the air and streaming through MyFoxOrlando.com.

The State does have some damning evidence, but investigators still have not located a body.  While prosecutors feel confident that they can indict Casey, her attorney,  Jose Baez, believes the missing toddler is alive.  The State only has to prove that there is probable cause in the murder of Caylee. Ultimately, it will be up to fifteen people to decide.

New lead attorney for Casey?

Should Casey face a homicide charge, she could be going to trial with a new lead counsel.  FOX 35 has learned from the president of the Criminal Defense Attorney's Association that Baez might not be permitted to represent Anthony in a first degree murder trial.

Richard Hornsby said Baez does not meet the standards set forth by attorneys in capital cases.  To be lead counsel you must:

have had five years experience as an attorney
served as co-counsel on two death penalty cases
demonstrated proficiency and commitment which exemplify quality representation in capital cases
However, Baez could still be part of a legal team.   Todd Black, spokesperson for Baez, offered this response on Monday:

"It will not change the commitment of the Baez Law Firm and they are fully prepared if an indictment is handed down to represent Ms. Anthony to the fullest."

Concerning the possibility that remains have been found...does LE have to let the public and the family know any time remains are found?

In other words, could they have found some remains a week ago and kept it secret?  It seems that whenever human remains are found, it is reported in the news.

With this dress being found today and with whatever evidense it has on it, I would think that Cindy would stop with all the  whinning about LE not following up on live Caylee  tips......Tips that has probaby come from Her to begin with since she seems to know just how you have to send in a tip  via e-mail and such.....She really needs to get with the program and stop all the bad mouthing about Tim and the LE.....she might need them one day...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were bone photos a few days ago. Could be moved by an animal and there are tracks to match the vicinity of the dress? just hoping.
I don't think TES moved very far from the area they were searching when they found the dress today. They needed that last key.

I think the dress is insignificant at a size 6.  But made for a good "bone" to throw out to the oh-so-inquiring masses.  Like us :-)

All I know is they found a dress matching one similar to one Caylee had.  They'll need to conduct DNA on it to rule out it being planted.  This will take awhile so we'll just have to wait....

I don't know if there is an established protocol in these cases.  However, knowing how resistant the family has been to any hint that Caylee may be deceased, they may have wanted to get DNA confirmation before telling them.

IMO, it wouldn't be released to the family until a positive id was made through lab/dna tests.

Ain't gonna happen, she totally convinced me today that she and "reality" are total strangers.

Cindy is just hurting herself and her daughter by bad-mouthing Tim and LE.

I really think that any time remains are found, it has to be announced to the media.  I don't think LE can find human remains and keep it a secret, can they?

Wouldn't they have to say that human remains were found and are being tested and if tests revealed that Caylee was the victim, wouldn't they have to notify family members?

This was my thoughts exactly. TES finding a dress and Tim Miller being dissapointed that the find was leaked is a great example to everyone that they do not tell what they find. If they found a body they wouldn't leak that out until DNA evidence confirmed it was Caylee.

Yes he was very upset and you could tell he did not want to answer NG questions. Thing is I am on all different sites reading about this case (only post on 2 tho) and haven't' heard a thing about a dress being found!

If my grchild was missing and I truly believed that she had been kidnapped, I would be in the media everyday!  I would want to cooperate with LE.

No, I don't think they notify the family until they get a postitive ID, which after this much time could take several days. Laci Peterson and Connor were ID'd in less than a week, IIRC.
I love LP to pieces, but sometimes he throws stuff out there that is just a little wierd. But he could be right.
I was thinking earlier.... this could have been so simple if Casey had used a little common sense. She could have thrown Caylee in the pool without floaties, and then "discovered" her and called 911, pretending to be frantic and then they would think it was just a horrible accident and dismissed it.
I hope she gets LWOP and they make her line her cell with pictures of Caylee that she has to look at for the rest of her miserable life.

I think Tim is upset about a lot of things.   And it could be Caylee's dress.  I guess the first thing I would do if I were LE is confirm whether the Anthony's are still in possession of said dress.  I know they don't have time to go to disney and get another one.   ::MonkeyHaHa::

Maybe I was just listening too hard but did in his interview with NG, did TIM say that the dress was found today?  I really missed him giving a time or day when it was found...just that someone had "leaked" the info about the dress being found and that it had been sent for testing.  I find it hard to believe, as badly as Tim wants to find little Caylee, that he would just quit after finding this little dress.  Wouldn't this make him really search the areas close by where the dress was found?  Even if it wasn't confirmed as being Caylee's dress, it could have belonged to another missing child.  Tim sounded so sad in this interview!!! I just can't help but believe, as I have for a few weeks now, that LE already has what remains were left of this child in their custody.  I think the dress finding was maybe only a bit of the information leaked and all Tim was at liberty to discuss right now.

Cindy will just claim the kidnappers lost it. She needs mental help. Fast!  If i was a member of her family -I would have already had her commited. ::MonkeyNoNo::

First I heard about it was when I tuned into Nancy's show... just about floored me! Tim WAS reluctant to answer... and I don't blame him.
However... about the dress being a size 6... I read somewhere a while back, can't remember where... that Caylee was big for her age, and fairly tall. So it's not out of the realm of possibilties that she could wear a size 6. My little grandson was born big, over 8 lbs., so he always wore a couple sizes larger than his age indicated. At 1, he was wearing a 3T. He has slowed down a bit now, but for about 3 years, he was a chunk of lead! It was all I could do to pick him up!
I wonder when exactly the dress was found, and how long it will be before they get the testing done on it. I hope this does not delay the GJ proceedings. I am PRAYING that we will know something soon!

My grown grandaughter when she was small was always skip skip , skipping along with her hand on the hem of her dress raising it in the air. LOL Our daughter always dressed her in dresses that were to big to help keep her bottom covered. LOL GD was tiny but yes she wore size 6 at 3 and remember Caylee was almost 3 when she went missing. After seeing Tim in so many interviews over the years, I'm just not getting it!!! The Tim I've watched before would not get this uptight over answering questions about a dress being found.  And....finding a dress in a specific area would certainly only make him search harder...not leave and come back a few weeks later. He was terribly sad and visibly upset for someone that had only ...at some unknown time or date....found a generic dress.  As for the dress being a "Mickey" dress....this is Orlando...and Mickey is on everything we see. So...sorry to be so very repetitive but I'm just not getting this. Two and two are not making four for me right now. Something is very wrong with this entire picture.

I think he is probably upset because the person who leaked it, was probably searching with TES.. and don't you have to sign something stating you will not talk about what may have been found?  People who do not take the rules seriously, are a detriment to TES and to LE.  Not to mention, there is a huge trust factor there.

JC Penney sells Disney dresses for girls...don't know if anyone said this yet.  I'm a few pages behind.  I couldn't find this exact dress on-line but maybe in their catalogue?  Could this have been what Casey ordered from JCP?

YES and unless the rules have drastically changed, you have to give up any possibility of receiving rewards.  Tim Miller and TES cannot get rewards either, or at least that has always been my understanding.

They did not say if the pic being shown on this thread is the actual type dress. Didn't they just say a red dress? There must be a 100 different red dresses w/ disney on them. I'm sure if they do show us the real dress, Cindy can run to the closet and produce Caylee's since she said nothing was missing. My concern is that this dress found was in good condition, even if TES found it during the 1st search it would have been out in the elements over 31 plus days!

During the show, Grace interviewed Tim Miller, who mentioned that the find had been leaked to a "member of the media." I am that "member of the media" and I can provide you with the details of that find.

On Saturday, I received an email from an individual in Florida, who informed me that a dress had been found in a swampy area near the airport. A search group that is not affiliated with Texas EquuSearch made the find. The email went on to describe the item and the fact that the individual had an "exclusive" photo of the dress.

After receiving the email, I contacted Tim to confirm the find. As you can imagine, Tim was quite upset that the information had been leaked. Not only that, but he was also upset because the information the person was providing constituted a direct violation of search and rescue protocol.

Tim told me that the authorities did not believe the dress was connected to the Caylee case. As a result, I chose not to publish that information. The last thing we needed was another media frenzy, at a time in which Tim was trying to determine what to do. Grace has since picked up on the find, which is why I am addressing it now.

I am not going to identify the name of the organization involved, as they should not be judged by the actions of a single person; however, I will say that Tim told me that there are suspicions regarding the origin of that dress and how it ended up in the swamp.

You know, sometimes we just get too wrapped up in a situation and our involvement seems to consume our lives. When this happens, it's best just to back away, take a few deep breaths and then re-evaluate our involvement and the toll it is taking on our personal lives.  After I lost my husband to lung cancer (he was only 49) I became a moderator for a lung cancer online group.  It took me years to realize the toll this was taking on my life. Everytime the group lost someone to lung cancer, I relived my situation and became severely depressed.  Like others, I really value Destiny and all she contributes to making this such a special place to visit.  I hope and pray that after taking a few deep breaths, she is recharged and ready to jump back in.  Sometimes, we just need to take a break.  Maybe she knows so much about this case that she feels she might say something that would hinder the outcome of these proceedings tomorrow....as she does have a lot of inside scoop material!!!

I guess nothing at this point.  I just don't want her to think we wanted her to leave.  She is so great at calling people and has been such a help to us.  I tried to call her, but didn't get an answer.  It may be that she's just been under so much stress lately and I understand that.  Time away may be the best for her, but I will miss her for sure.

That's what I was thinking - a dress-up dress either given to her as a gift or as a hand-me-down.

Unless someone can say with absolute certainty that Caylee had a dress like the one found, I'm not holding my breath.  I'm really confused by this whole dress thing, actually.  Considering nobody had even read or heard of this leak, it just doesn't seem to make sense. 

Maybe a way to put more pressure on Casey?  I just don't know.  The timing of it is so weird.  The leak that wasn't leaked, but was announced on CNN, lol.

Just the other day she was meeting with people from the funeral home.  I think, and HOPE, that this is temporary until things settle down a bit for her.  She has been through a very tough tough time lately, not to mention she is having to keep a tight lip on info that she gets from LP and the body farm.  All this is enough to drive anyone over the edge for a bit.  I very much hope its temporary as she is such a good source, I agree LaLa's

SeaSearcher and CuriousCat, thanks for the link.  I believe this.  It seems when Tim was talking to NG he was starting to say LE didn't think this pertained to Caylee, but of course NG shut him down.

I haven't been here long enough to make a difference, but I know that sometimes people just get so wrapped up emotionally in a case that it consumes them and they HAVE to take a break. It can affect your health, your family, even your finances. I say that we just offer our support, our prayers, and help, that's all we can do!

Regarding the GJ....I know members of the GJ are prohibited from discussing what thet saw and heard during a hearing but...what about the witnesses??? Are they told not to discuss their testimony with anyone or are they at liberty to discuss what they said with others?  I can just imagine CA immediately trying to get info from GA after his testimony tomorrow.

Maybe it's just a precaution with all the "leaks" going on...especially today with the dress or whatever. Nothing Destiny did, just a precaution in general. That sorta makes sense to me.

All I can say is that Tim most likely "spins" and "downplays" ALL media inqueries. Cases awaitng pending LE/Prosecutorial action don't need to have a lot of this info made public. Take what Tim says on TV with a grain of salt. Not because Tim is "lying" -- but, because he is trying to preserve LE's work. -- JMO

I think Destiny was very kind in letting us know she wouldn't be posting as much.  When she was gone for a few days before, we worried.  I think we should respect her and let her have her own space.  Destiny knows she has a home here with the monkeys, and can post anytime.  If she wants to share with us, she will.  JMHO

IMO Caylee has more than one "disney dress" ... and that would make sense since she lives near disney .... from the pictures it looks like she likes to play dress up ... we have seen her in a Belle dress for one .... there has been no description of the dress for Cindy to dispute ... for all we know ... Cindy or the "gang" may not have even heard about the "leak" unless they watched NG ....
Also ... I wouldn't read too much into Tim saying the dress was in "good condition" ... I'm sure it was "weathered" .... I took it to mean perhaps there were no rips or tears in it as in the lack of animal activity ... (gators) ... IMO

My understanding is that they can talk about their testimony after the fact. Would they want to? I doubt anyone who is going to be a prosecution witness would. jmo

I was wondering in the list of evidence taken from the car..They listed a dora the explorer back pack do any of us know if caylee had clothes in the backpack..I was thinking when they logged it in as evidence they would list the sizes..

I posted a few days my thoughts about the JCP purchase....I think it was indeed something to replace an item from Cindy's house so that she would not notice it was missing. I was thinking a container, but it could be an article of clothing.

If this was found in or near Blanchard Park and IS Caylee's, then it could have been planted (esp. since it's in good condition) to further the theory of the kidnapping.  Hmmmm...maybe it was to have been discovered while on a tour of local points of interest?  If you think I read alot of mystery/suspense, you are correct!

I've just been sitting here thinking, and I think the cat is out of the proverbial bag sotospeak.

Here's what I mean.

We have heard that Tim and TES wanted to search the areas near the airport again and the conditions did not permit once again. I think he said there was still some flooding in those areas. Swamps are usually flooded.

I recall that Tim stated that they did not want to step on the remains of Caylee and push her down into the soft mushy soil.

With the discovery of the Disney dress and the cell phone pings, it appears to me they have most likely zeroed in on the prime target zone.

The dress and the pings would lead anyone to look further. Too bad the conditions are not what anyone would hope for.

I believe it is probably just a matter of time until Caylee is found if they have the correct area.

My heart really goes out to GA tonight, as I think of how heavy his heart must be. Since this case first began, I have always said I would not stand by my child if I thought they had harmed my grandchild. Yet, I can only imagine how hard it must be to know that telling the truth could mean that you would also lose a child, after already losing a grandchild.  As parents, our instincts should be to protect our children from all harm. All along, I have believed that he was a man that had been "forced" to make choices that went against his moral character when dealing with Caylees disappearance and KC's many lies.  I have a strong feeling that he will do the right thing tomorrow and I am so hopeful that he will have friends to support him in this decision, as I'm sure he won't have the support of his wife!!!

If you read the post from the searcher from Discovery, he says he was tipped on Saturday.  He refused to publish the information at the time.  Then, it appeared on NG tonight.  This sounds as if someone is shopping around the search discoveries, probably for the right amount of money.  When Discovery declined to pay for the info, he took it to CNN's NG.  No wonder Tim is angry about this.  It's a clear breach of trust on the part of the searcher (but doesn't surprise me if it's the people I suspect as they are not known for honesty and character).  The problem is that the revelation of the discovery before the GJ could result in contamination of the search site, especially if they have not been able to process the site thoroughly.  We'll know more after tomorrow.

I am in KC, so there is little to no news on this case other than the internet and her show, but man she bugs the crap out of me. Those of us who haven't had to personally endure the loss of a child can only imagine except in that horrible nightmarish way what it must feel like, that being said ,I felt that Tim came back this last time with optimism after the meeting with Nejame and the anthonys. Then today with the dress leak, the constant scrutiny, the obvious implosion of a united effort with the family and his failure to proceed with the search due to the weather etc...... This poor man must feel the weight of this investigation and so many folks expectations bearing down on him. I have such admiration for him and his team and all the volunteers.  My thoughts and prayers for him.

Thank you. I did think about that and figured it was an old pic and she is much different looking now. She is almost five now and has lost a lot of that baby cuteness. I'm not sure you'd recognize her! You know how kids change... she used to look like daddy, now more like me. I think about that with Caylee. I wonder if she looked most like daddy as a baby because I don't see Casey in her.

Please keep in mind that Tim Miller suffered loss with Hurricane Ike and likely lost his storage of hay, etc. for the winter for the horses and property damage in addition to all the responsibility he has with searches.

With over 400 on line today, if each one sent TES just $10, well, you do the math.  It would surely help as they are hugely in the red on the search for Caylee as has been published in the newspapers.

Please, just take a minute and do what you can to help him out.  Remember he signed personal loan for the money to go to Orlando the first time.  We never know when it will be one of our loved ones in need of his services.

OK, OK---What has been happening, please? I now have had to read over 80 pages, just since this morning. Sorry that I haven't been here all day but I was babysitting my new, 2 mo. old grandbaby. I did see this earlier, IslandMonkey, and think it very well-thought-out on your part and I am prayerful that they will read and consider doing just this very thing.  It has to be just too stressful for Tim Miller with difficulties at home from the Hurricane, etc. to be facing shortfall of money.  I know the economy is bad right now but I do believe we can all skip a pizza or two and also help.

If your idea works, it could be the end of financial problems for a while for TES.  Prayers, keeping fingers crossed and sending good vibes.

I have not received a response ... I emailed the Caylee tip line link on the OCSD's website .... I really don't expect to get a confirmation unless they suspect it may be something ... but I definately will keep you all posted ...

I really don't think they were checked out later ... he really did not put much stock in them at all ... he is a very high strung, very animated individual and if he thought they were something .. he would have been all over it I am sure.

I'm not sure that they were going as "spies" (but I guess if you assume they should be looking for a "live" Caylee if they are "friends" you might) ... I just know that they were "reporting" back to the Anthony's some negative things that were being said by ppl on the search and in turn ... making Tim look bad in Cindy's opinion ...

Destiny is a treasure and her contributions to SM have been amazing.  She is very much appreciated.  Things are changing around here.

I am a little confused here...I thought Tim said it was member of his group that leaked the info about the dress...but that person that said they were the media person said it was not TES.  Did I read that right?
