Actually AKMOM it's the opposite.  6a.m. on the list will actuall be 2a.m. Alaska time if AKMOM means Alaska  ::MonkeyWink::  I put you down for 11:30a.m. but I can change it.  That will be 7:30a.m. your (Alaska) time.  ::MonkeyWink::

Do you have a spreadsheet of the times, as we've had before?  I want to sign up, but it's hard to tell what is still available by so many posts.   ::MonkeyWink::

Count me in, 12:30 pm is good for me.
Althought as I lay in bed at night and on my way into work, prays are said for Caylee.

STOP AND THINK...WHAT TIME IS IT RIGHT NOW ON THE EAST COAST?  THEN WHAT TIME IS IT WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW?  IS IT EARLIER OR LATER?

If you live in California and sign up for 6 a.m. that would mean you plan on praying at 3 a.m. California time.

Dihannah - I have the spreadsheet posted on page one and page two.  I have a bunch to add now but if you see my post above, I had gotten them all up to that point.

Actually, I'm retired so I can sleep whenever.  After you give first choices to the "working" monkeys, put me in where you need me to be.   I'll cover whatever I'm assigned.

i think bleachedblack wanted the 5am and 5:30am slots, as per post #47, but has been put in at 5pm and 5:30pm.  i have the 5am slot and don't mind trading if it works better for beachedblack.

For those asking how it works.  In the past, we take our timeslot and pray during that time, wherever we are.  Some may be busy at work, or somewhere, when it's not conducive, so it is nice to pick a time, where it is quiet and you can concentrate.    But as Tater mentioned, it's true, "Pray without ceasing", so you can pray ANY time!  We don't typically post our prayers, but I personally don't see anything wrong with that, is somebody chooses to do so.  Klaas has mentioned some share time slots as well, so feel free to pray whenever, of course, even outside of your slot.   

Choosing slots is just to ensure we cover a 24 hr period of time of an unbroken chain of prayers, where 'somebody' and/or more people are praying.

It's nice to know we will probably have multiple people praying throughout the 24 hrs. and beyond.  This just gives us an opportunity to feel  and share a part of something very special and know we are contributing, if not in person.

This will not fit into everyones belief patterns and there is no intentions on my behalf to offend anyone!  (Klaas ... if you feel the need to ... you may remove this post)

For anyone that may be interested ....

People "pray" or "meditate", send "healing/positive energy" in different ways ... there is no "right" or "wrong" way to do it as long as your intentions are for good ...

Some people "meditate/pray" with focal tools to help quiet the mind first to keep the focus on the "subject" (topic or person) as opposed to your mind wandering off into other thoughts.

I do personal photo mandalas for such purposes ... I have been contemplating on doing one for Caylee, but it never seemed like the "right time".  With this prayer day coming up, I feel it is now the right time.  Some people find it "easier" to look at a mandala then to look at a photo as sometimes looking at a photo can be painful emotionally.

I chose this picture of her, because of it looks like a recent picture, and mostly because she has her "baby" with her, which I believe was a great source of comfort to her according to media reports.

If you choose to use this mandala for prayer day (or anyday) ... just simply print it out, hold it, and stare at the center of it ... your eyes will start to wander outward, that's normal ... just bring them slowly back to the center ... try not to blink ....when your eyes get heavy and you can no longer stare at the center ... close them ..... (you will still see the center of the mandala in your minds eye) ... you can say aloud or silently things such as ... Today Caylee will be found, .... Today I see the searchers safe and well ... whatever you choose to say ... just be sure to keep the energy positive ...

You can pray to God, Jesus, the Universe, Spirit ... whatever your personal belief system is while using this mandala ... it is NOT to "take the place of" ... just simply giving you a focal tool to first quiet your mind for a deeper, more effective "prayer" time.

THE IDEA OF THE PRAYER SCHEDULE IS TO MAKE SURE THERE IS CONTINUOUS PRAYER THRUOUT THE 24HOUR PERIOD WITH NO BREAKS.  YOU MAY PRAY HOWEVER YOU LIKE, WHATEVER WORKS BEST FOR YOU.

I'm going to lock this thread now since the schedule is filled up but REMEMBER, you can always pick a time to pray even if your name isn't officially on the list.  The main thing is to have the 24 hours completely covered.
