Ya know, I've been thinking about george and his attempted suicide.  If it was a fake, a ruse, or whatever, look at the consequences.  He has now lost he right to carry a gun legally.  He was a security officer, and a former cop, did he know this before he did it?  Don't know if any of his jobs would have required him to be able to carry a gun or not, but he's no longer got that option.

Me too (that he shared something with LE) - because sincere attempt or not ... if he didn't share anything ... it's all that media/public/LE know ... and how's to say he doesn't make an "attempt" while at home and "succeed" this time ... and we may never be the wiser ...

A AH!   forensic psychologist on Mike Galanos just said this was not a real suicide attempt more than it was a cry for help, interesting.   They are discussing the memorial whether he is ready, my GOD the second autopsy was done 4-5 weeks ago, this is ridiculous!!   If he cant handle it dont have a public memorial after alkl his attorney is telling the world they need peace & solitude so doesnt that contradict them going out in public to get their much delayed sympathy...geez    I wish I could say with 100% certainty that this service was respectfully all about Caylee, but it seems to me its just another way for this family with Cindy orchestrating the bandwagon to put their agenda forward & get their money for FOX covering it - ugh.   If it was from their heart all about Caylee it would have been done a month ago as it should have been, period.

Id like to know how so many people that realize Casey killed Caylee & do not condone the Anthonys conduct are going to sit in a church with them, possibly look them in the eye and not want to shake some dang sense into them - and as far as "nutjobs" showing up at the memorial that the Anthonys may be concerned with...it started with them & their conduct what did they expect since they caused most of this outrage from others, even lowlives know how despicable Casey was for killing Caylee & the way her family has been covering it up?    If it was way back in the day Casey & Cindy may well have been stoned in the street months ago!

Folk art hex dolls I've done are being sold on eBay and there is a Casey Anthony voodoo doll seller who copied a large part of my ad which triggered a flurry of emails from this Deb person (and most of eBay it felt like) claiming she's a rep for Baez. I think it's purely coincidence that we both apparently lurk on this board but she informed me she was upset by my post that the Casey Anthony Voodoo doll seemed to be available again and that she was Baez's Assistant... but she spelled Legal like Beagle so I just giggled and moved on. I'm assuming the whole thing is some monkeys' bored child home sick for the day playing jedi mind games.

As to your comment about GA not being able to carry a gun (aside from the obvious sense in that), I'm still thinking that he aspires to being a spokesperson for missing children, even Conway, when giving the presser about his breakdown said something to the effect that he has a lot to offer to those who may find themselves in this situation. Again, they seem to always add a little more than necessary when explaining anything.

Slow news day, eh?   Did anyone here take notice of the news item about the sports gambling arrests in Orlando... ?

This monkey was just idly wondering if there was some remote chance there could be some connection to Casey... I was remembering all the sports chat peppered throughout her myspace/facebook messages with friends, Lee's employment that is sports-related, her lies about working at "Sports Authority," and the fact that the folks arrested were Southeast Asian (Vietnamese? Thai? Cambodian?) owners/operators of Asian restaurants (and I think a billiards room)... on E. Colonial Drive. 

The owner of Fusian is I believe named Bruce T. Lam, which is likewise a Southeastern Asian name.  I found a 2003-2004 business license for Fusian under his name, DBA "Thai Fusian."  I think he has a home address in Kissimmee, near JBaez's home address.

Surely there is no connection, but the news story I saw said the local bureau of investigation had been working the case undercover for the past two years, and just made the arrests following a final SuperBowl gambling deal.  It refers to "Asian businesses" operating in Orlando.

I've been on this website back when Natalee Holloway was alive and aside from the occassional pop-up, I have never had any indication this site is not totally secure.

Roy Kronk May Have To Start Paying Own Legal Fees
Wednesday, February 4, 2009 – updated: 3:43 pm EST February 4, 2009

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The county employee who found the body of Caylee Anthony might soon have to start paying his own legal bills. Until now, Orange County has been paying a law firm to represent former meter reader Roy Kronk.


So far, the county has paid more than $7,500 dollars. It was an effort to help Kronk maintain privacy.

Wednesday, a county watchdog group told Eyewitness News that's excessive.

"Owing a debt of gratitude doesn't allow the taxpayer to be taken advantage of," said Michael Walzak of CountyWatch.

Kronk is no longer working as a meter reader. He's now working at a county utility warehouse and says he wants to be out of the public eye.

If Lee, Cindy & George plead the 5th they can be held in contempt of court, they are not charged/indicted with a crime so there is no just cause to plead the 5th - doing so would be unwise for them because it will appear as though they know they have to be concerned about saying something that incriminate them.   As far as Casey goes, she is a defendant indicted on a murder one charge so her taking the 5th is standard procedure because she already has just cause that anything she said in a civil suit could incriminate her for the charges she is indicted on awaiting trial - but she too facing a contempt charge, albeit an extremely consequence considering what she is facing in her criminal case.

OK now JVM has me ticked off about attempting to justify why the defense is holding the remains until the State's forensics results come back...the Jon Benet case was entirely different.   In this case, examining the remains unfortunately is very limited.   When the State took what they could it is standard procedure to reserve what they can for further testing so the fact that the defense did the second autopsy was argueably unnecessary.   At most you have hair and possible bone marrow to do testing on...I just think its important to be factual instead of relying on these tabloid talkhead comments.

On the issue of Todd Black/Gil Cabot, this Sharon is a rude blowhard & dead wrong  IT IS VERY RELEVANT - the guy was on the money.   It doesnt matter whether Baez is paying Press Media Corp or not, if he is making a public statement still that "Todd Black is still working for us and doing a good job" (sic close to quote) then he is admitting that this PR firm is representing him & his law firm.

In Michigan there is - I know from work experience that when you take the 5th you risk having a judgment being entered against you or your case dismissed depending on the side you are on. usually the judge weights the reason for the taking of the 5th against the need for the other side to know the information you are not giving.

Anthonys Try To Plan Caylee's Funeral
Attorney Says Lee Happy To Have Father Home

ORLANDO, Fla. -- With George Anthony, Caylee Anthony's grandfather, out of inpatient psychiatric care he and his wife, Cindy, are trying to plan the funeral for their grandaughter.

George Anthony was released from the hospital during the evening hours, and his family reportedly opted to take him home instead of to another treatment facility.

A source told WESH 2 the family also made extensive plans to get him out of the hospital away from the camera's eye.

WESH 2 is honoring the family's request not to camp out outside the Anthony home.

Lee Anthony's lawyer said this is time they all need to try to heal as a family.

Lee Anthony's sister, Casey Anthony, is in jail charged with the death of her daughter, Caylee.

A source close to the family told WESH 2 they used multiple vehicles and an alternate exit to get George Anthony out of Halifax Medical Center and away from the public eye. He'd been staying there ever since he checked in to a Daytona Beach motel and took an undetermined amount of pills and alcohol in an apparent attempt to end his life.

George Anthony's son's lawyer said Lee Anthony is glad to have his father safe at home.

"He's very happy to be back in town and he's very happy to be with his family and continues to spend time with his father who's now out of the hospital and really try to begin to emotionally heal from this entire event," attorney Tom Luka said.

That process will include finally saying goodbye to Caylee, whose remains were discovered almost two months ago in a wooded area near the Anthony family home.

The Anthonys have been subpoenaed to testify under oath in the Zendaida Gonzalez civil suit against Casey Anthony. She said her reputation has been damaged by false allegations made by Casey Anthony.

Gonzalez's attorney, John Morgan, said he wants to depose the Anthonys in front of the press.

"Then we have some surprise questions for them they may have some difficulty answering," he said.

Luka said Lee Anthony will have very little to say about that claim, and that Morgan's idea to conduct public depositions won't be allowed by the judge.

Would she be allowed to MAIL them to someone without them being read? WESH-Channel 2 said the Anthony family used several cars to take George Anthony home from a Daytona Beach hospital Tuesday night and escape media scrutiny. He had received psychiatric care after an apparent suicide attempt.

Attorney Brad Conway told WESH that he couldn't find inpatient psychiatric care for George in Orange County. Facilities had expressed concern about accompanying media attention.

What's next? The family soon hopes to complete funeral plans for toddler Caylee Anthony and met with attorney Jose Baez, WESH said. Baez represents Casey Anthony, who is accused of murdering daughter Caylee. Casey Anthony's defense team has to complete its examination of Caylee's remains.

WKMG-Channel 6 reported that the Anthony family was preparing for a large memorial -- possibly next week -- at First Baptist Church of Orlando. Reporter Louis Bolden focused on safety: The church has its own security staff but could hire off-duty officers. The church may do bag searches or ask people not to bring large bags. Orlando police would concentrate on traffic control.

Luka said his client will have little to offer when questioned about the defamation suit filed by Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez against Casey Anthony. Luka said he would fight the plan by John Morgan, Fernandez-Gonzalez's attorney, to televise Lee Anthony's deposition.

Conway, the attorney for George and Cindy Anthony, told WESH that he, too, opposes Morgan's plan. Kealing said they would be deposed Feb. 26, and Lee Anthony would go the next day.

WFTV reported that Roy Kronk instead of the county could have to start paying his own legal bills. A county watchdog group, CountyWatch, has complained about $7,500 in legal bills to help Kronk maintain his privacy. Kronk, a former meter reader, pointed law enforcement to the spot where Caylee Anthony's remains were found.

I am not sure who said that Cindy will not have to answer because she is on meds but I know in Michigan that is not a reason. I need to know why, too.  I always have to know the why about things--esp. when it comes to someone killing a defenseless creature.

I do think the family is messed up.  But there's something else to bear here.  Its not a "simple" thing like that looney in TX who brutalized/killed Baby Grace.  And folks who think death might go back on table for Caylee's murderer should dream on.  Texas is a smoke 'em state, and this horribly cruel woman only got life...though I guess she might have turned on her husband and he may pay.  I don't know since I haven't followed that case.

Imho, alleged perp in Caylee's case had no impulse control and flew off the handle and took out her frustration on the weakest person in her midst.  People like that (in my experience) never take on someone their own size.  Perhaps being strung out on something reduced her inhibitions/exacerbated her pre-existing impulse control and anger issues.  Whatev.

All this to say I think the why Caylee died is vastly important.

WHY she died is less important than why there is such an attempted cover up of the death.

She died because KC was sick and tired of being burdened down by her. She was tired of covering up her lack of a job and she could not leave because of Caylee. She didn't want her, but she refused to let Cindy have her. That would be admitting defeat in her eyes and that was never acceptable in the life long power struggle with her mother.


I don't agree that learning why Caylee died is less important than what smacks of a coverup after the fact.  Her death is what matters.  Any coverup that may or may not have occurred is beside the point.  I think its human nature to cast around for bad actors when there a child is murdered and the alleged perp has yet to be brought to justice.

Anyone involved in a coverup will get theirs one way or another. 

Myself, I'm pretty much only focused on the alleged perp.

 A little convenient huh??  And let's not forget the spindy explanation of what sent him over the brink, she said it was because she had asked him to pick out jewelry for the "funeral" and then his atty. says he got suicidal because there's no funeral arrangements, everything is always doublespeak . I also think they're worried about having testimony on record. They're so used to lying and changing stories, what if they answered one way at the deposition and then at trail had to spin it a different way due to the direction stupid bozo attempts to defend KC.

NG can be a little harsh, but one thing I do like about the show is that it keeps showing images and video of Caylee. The other news programs don't do that. They show George, they show Casey, they show Lee . . . NG focuses on Caylee pics and videos a lot.

Good for them. My guess is another concern is that GA has no money, and why should he be any different than the thousands who are turned away from care so often in the US. Just my opinion.

I don't believe a word any of them say, including Conway.  My feeling is that Cindy and George had a big fight and Cindy kicked him out.  I mean, if George were going to an interview, didn't Cindy think it strange that he was taking his pillow and blanket?  I never heard of a person going to commit suicide with his blankie and pillow. After a while  he decided he wanted to go home so he started sending goofy text messages and they came and took him away.  The reason no hospital would take him IMO is because he doesn't need to be hospitalized.  He just needed Cindy to let him come home, which apparently she finally did. I believe that once Cindy gets through with him, he will regret wanting to go home.

Nite Trimm. One of my bosses at work even offered to pay for the Chantex or whatever the no smoking drug is. It is really sad that my insurance won't pay for me to quit smoking, but will pay for lung cancer and/or heart attack. Go figure!   ::MonkeyShocked::  ::MonkeyHaHa::

I've known a handful of people that have used Chantrix and a couple of them had heart attacks.  I don't know if the Chanrix had anything to do with it or not.  I quit by using the patch then switching to an occasional piece of gum.  Worked well for me and I thought I would never quit. 

I've been here and away most of the evening... mostly away, busy but peeking in to catch up from time to time.  Broke my silence to say JSM, please take good care of you and feel better; please seek help if you have any doubt whether you're okay.  Better safe than sorry, right?

I worked at a level 1 Trauma Center in the midwest and they can't refuse to take someone who is in need of care.  Especially a pathetic reason like the publicity.

I don't think why and justifiable are synonymous.  There is nothing that can justify Caylee being killed.  But there is a reason (maybe more than one) why she was killed.  Of course it won't make a lick of sense to a person w/a heart.

We were in Orlando/Daytona last year starting on 2/14 and it was in the 70's during the day most of the time.  There was a couple days it was cooler and at night it got down in the 50's.   I can't believe it is going to get so cold.

I think that if a hospital receives funds under the Hill-Burton act, they are required to accept all patients.  I also think that most hospitals do receive these government funds.

Hey, for those that saw Nancy tonight, I picked up on something when they were showing video of George & Mark Nejame arriving outside before the Grand Jury, guess who I noticed was there & talked to George... none other than Joy Wray.  She had a sign or something in one hand & a pink pocketbook, it was most definitely her.   Anyone else pick up on that?

IIRC , at the motion hearing on Jan.8th...the SA said they should have the forensics back from FBI in about 20 days and the Judge gave them 30 days to give them to Biaz or to let him know if they had not received them. Saturday will be 30 days.

Last night I had a dream and I woke up from the dream and have stayed upset the entire day.  I dreamed that I had to go away for 3 weeks and I would not be able to see my 8 month old for that entire time period.  I was upset and crying that I would miss those 3 weeks of his life.  I get so angry when I see that slore laughing and smiling in court knowing that her child is dead!

I am a prayer warrior on a site www.asherandjacobsfriends.com  and when you read those precious little ones stories and their families anguish at there suffering and then think of KC murdering that precious baby and throwing her away like garbage...it just makes you so angry. Being on meds is NOT a reason to not answer questions in depositions when you are supeonaed. That was her excuse for not taking a polygraph, but that was not under supeona  - so don't worry SHE WILL be giving a deposition and she better not lie this time.

You have an absolutely gorgeous German Shepard, we had our Sasha Bella for 9 years but we lost her to very invasive cancer last June, we miss her horribly.  We  have our black & gold guy "Capo Chino"   He was named for a slang Italian meaning for Captain & a wolf named Chino but yet it blended well to come out verbally as Cappuccino which of course with my love of coffee it was just too perfect!   Capo bucks like a horse, wishes he was one of the cats, barks to guard all intruders but is the biggest mush & spoiled baby.

O/T but with all the animal lovers in here, wanted to tell what they just told on my local news....in N.C a guy swerved to miss a dog in the road and hit an embankment in Nov. His van caught fire and a passerby stopped and pulled the guy out of the van. He was airlifted to the Augusta GA. burn center and has been there since Nov. He was well enough to be transferred to a hospital closer to home. An ambulance picked him up and was on there way back to N.C. and wrecked in Columbia S.C. The poor man was killed on his way home. Just heartbreaking.

That is horrible...and some very bad luck.

I am really sorry this has happened to you. There is a book I strongly suggest you read by Susan Forward -  Toxic Parents, Overcoming their Hurtful Legacy and Reclaiming your Life,

I believe it will be very helpful in your situation.

SHOULD CINDY AND GEORGE NOT BE PUNISHED FOR CASEY'S SINS?

First I want to preface this by saying that I think:
CASEY IS 100% RESPONSIBLE AND SHOULD ROT IN JAIL FOR LIFE...

But.. How much can we say George and Cindy should get away with for Casey turning out the way she did?

So... We know that a person's behavior stems from two things: GENETICS and ENVIRONMENT

GENETICS: Well we all know where she gets these from... Cindy and George (although I've heard he might not be the bio dad). Their family history does not seem promising in this category, but yet we cannot blame someone's action based solely on genetics, or else any criminal with a bad family history can use the defense that it was in their "blood" to commit the crime. So this leaves...

ENVIRONMENT: Again, this includes Cindy and George. We then add Lee and all of Casey's friends.

FRIENDS: I believe a great deal of influence comes from a person's friends' standards and how persuasive they are in getting you to do what they want. I do not think that ANY of Casey's friends would tell her that she would be better off without a child. Tony might be the exception because he did not want Caylee around, however, I do not think his actions or morals would condone Casey killing her own kid.

LEE: Lee got mad at Casey for getting pregnant. Here I think is where Casey started her resentment for Caylee. Her brother and probably best friend was angry at her. She probably felt that Caylee was a burden.

GEORGE: Ah, George, although he is the most honest of the bunch, we cannot let him slide that easily. The whole suicide attempt, whether it was a cry for help or an actual attempt, it shows that he believes when things get too tough, just take the easy way out. He didn't like the situation he was in, so he decided to take his life. Casey didn't like her situation, so she took her daughter's life. He also treated Casey like she was a princess and could do no harm. He made her think that she was always the boss, that the world revolved around her, and that she could get away with anything. He unintentionally and nonverbally condoned her behavior by not checking it while she was running wild.

CINDY: This is where Casey got most of her attitude and thinking from. Cindy probably constantly told Casey that she was a bad mother, that she didn't deserve Caylee, and that Caylee would be better off without her. If you tell someone something negative enough times, they start believing it. Casey knew she was a bad mother so she made no real connection to Caylee. This is why I don't understand why Cindy didn't just take Caylee from the beginning. Cindy also has shown that it is ok to lie or bend the truth if it means getting away with something wrong. Cindy has countless times taken back what she had said before and lies to cover up for Casey. Casey learned this behavior from Cindy.

Now, what responsibility to parents have to the way their children turn out? When a child grows up to be an exceptional person, their parents are always praised for raising them so well. But when a child is a criminal, can we say that the parents have NO part in the way they turned out?

Again, I believe Casey should take full blame and stay in jail where she will be miserable, but what do you guys think should be done with Cindy and George?

Sorry... Long rant...

Wendi, I can empathize with you totally & feel your pain more than you could possibly imagine I or any other stranger would.  I survived by an inner strength I didnt even realize I was using for decades but it doesnt mean it didnt hurt beyond words at times, some days being quite unbearable.  The book Turbo recommended will help you, but I will tell you this the only one that can give you peace is yourself.   You can't change a person or their opinion but you can change how you cope or interact with that person.  One day I realized that despite my best efforts to attempt to change her or my rotten step father for that matter, it was useless.  To give yourself peace the best advice I can give you is to give it to God, take time to heal & find a way to respectfully distance yourself from enduring this type of ongoing torture - in my case it was very serious so I finally had to cut all ties but again, this was an extreme situation.   I survived & strived, maybe even a little in spite of it because I refused to continue to be a victim, when you take control of your own destiny is when you begin to heal & have peace of mind.

Have the both of you ever discussed the possibility to go to counseling together, or is that something that would be resisted if suggested?   

One more thing,  YOU are SPECIAL - repeat what I said to yourself daily & NEVER let anyone beat you down so much that you carry insecurities that you are a failure or not worthy of respect.  You have friends here & Im sure elsewhere, so wipe those tears, spoil yourself with something you enjoy doing to get your mind off of it as best as you can.  Live life forward AND CHIN UP!

Wow!  Well to start with, the part I bolded above is intersting and I had never really thought of it that way....but, you are right, they should be held accountable but to what degree?...I'm not sure.  What I do know is that if any of the Ant's had a role in the cover-up of Caylee's death, then for sure they should be punished to the full extent. 

The rest I'm going to think about for a bit, but I really like this post....got me thinking!!

Well thank you for replying! I was afraid no one would, but I started thinking about this last night, and I was wondering what everyone else on here thought about it. I too believe that if the A's knowingly covered up the truth, then yes, they should be taken to court and to jail. But what if they didn't intentionally cover things up (although, we have proof they did), then do they get away scott free?
