Thats too funny Crab's named Fred... I once had a Turtle named Myrtle and she had babies Huey Dewey and Louie .. then we went on vacation and left the Turtles ..with my Grandma. Somehow Myrtle escaped .. OH my gawd Yes she did. My Grandma was scared to death of all of them ..but she tried her best to find Myrtle ..by the time we came home from our Vacation ... All was Well and Myrtle was back with her Baby Turtles ..Huey Dewey and Louie .....

I once had a Greater Sulfphur Crested Cockatoo named "Norah".  She was just lovely, and very smart.  They are so smart, they even use tools.  For instance, I gave Norah a big shiny spoon, and she liked to look at herself in it and say "ooooohhhhh", which she would say when she saw what she liked.  She used the spoon to fish things out from between the bars in the bottom of her cage, and used it as a back scratcher.  But back to the real reason I mention Norah.  I had a laptop I used to post on this forum in the corner of the same room Norah lived in.  I left her out on the top of her cage one time, and it was my own fault for not supervising her.  I found her removing the keys from my laptop.  She had taken off about 7 or eight, and they were so damaged...She was very happy, and saying "ooooohhhh".  I wonder how long she had been eyeing my laptop to take the keys off...It is had been just a keyboard, I could have just replaced it.  But noooo.  It was a laptop.  Fortunately, I found a used one and could replace the keys.  Whew.  My lappy was about 2 year old then.  So-dont worry about your keyboard.  And don't let birds have access to the internet...

There's a receptacle thingy on th back or side of your lappy, and it just plugs in. It's easie to use a keyboard like that, IMO, even if your lappy's keyboard was working just fine, because it's regular size.

Peanut, I would guess that there is a plug on the back of your laptop where another keyboard could be attached.  You might need to go into the setup and specify external keyboard, or not.  Or buy a laptop keyboard, pry off the old one, follow the instructions.. cross your fingers... etc.   

By the way, I did not spend the night at a Holiday Inn Express, so take my advice with all due caution.

I have about 9 Lilac Trees ... in my back yard .. I love Lilacs they are my Favorite
They are a Mixed bunch - Deep purple, Raspberry Pinkish and Light Violet ..OH How I love them ..the smell just floats into the house .. Sigh 
Then I have some other flowering Trees/shrubs - I have no idea what they are - I did not plant them. One has tons of white little itty bitty flowers and then the other has beautiful deep Lipstick reddish Pink flowers ..that are Amazing to look at.
I used to have when I was a little girl a tree in my front yard that was flowering tree.. I have no clue what it was ..but the Flowers were big heavy and Waxy - White with pink inside ..was a skinny tree with Green leaves and Flowers at the top .. Not a flowering shrub ... have no clue what it was. Flowers almost looked like Lily's .. I know that I will always remember it though. Some day maybe I will find it :) and plant it in my Yard. I planted a Red Maple last year and its Still Alive ... Yay..

Hello you all. I actually have framing up on my new house and wanted to share the good news. It was really moving to see something going up where ashes and dirt once stood.  ::MonkeyDance::

Here is an article about insurance. I will add this note. At the end of the day when all was said and done, I will personally recommend Liberty Mutual and hope they continue our coverage. It was no cake walk and took a lot of work, but in the end, we will have a new home in place of ashes. A home as fire safe as we can possibly make it.

Thank you, it has been a long time but I learned the hard way that is par for the course to go through the barriers in total loss situations with the majority of insurance. I think that is why there are so many kind volunteers who help each subsequent group. I hope to "pay it back" in some way. A learning experience one only goes through once in a lifetime. Hard to imagine, but some of the Firefolks of 07 also went through it in 2003.

LAYERED COOKIE BARS   

1 stick butter
1 pkg. graham cracker crumbs (1 1/2 c.)
1 sm. pkg. butterscotch chips
1 sm. pkg. chocolate chips
1 sm. can coconut
1 c. pecans
1 can Eagle Brand milk

Melt butter in 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan; sprinkle crumbs over butter. Layer chips, coconut and pecans. Save a little coconut and pecans for top. Put Eagle Brand over top, then sprinkle coconut and pecans on top and bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes.

"Melatonin" for a sleep aid. It should not be taken by anyone Under 40 though - Because it is a Chemical within the Brain -that causes us to Go to Sleep.

When the levels of Melatonin change we get sleepy - but as we age the chemical in our brain does not have the same quality ..it slowly can leave us ..depending on many factors though.

It amazes me how a "Christian" mother of 2 grown sons, a grandmother of 2 young boys, and the wife of a sick husband can belong to such a hateful group of people!!  I see she is now participating in the hate!!

How does this woman justify her actions?  How would she feel if her husband, sons and grandsons knew what she was doing?

How does joining a a missing child's forum cause such anger and hate?  Does she have her own mind or identity?  Has she always been this way.......a miserable bitter woman? 

I can only pray she examines her decisions, her actions and "friends" before she it is too late.  Lead by example DinAnderson!!  Would these actions be acceptable by anyone in your family??

Hi Peanut...I watched NG too and I'm just on overload with all these people.  I don't know what to think about the Haleigh case..bunch of nuckin' futs..all of them.  Then the "missing diary pages" in the KC case...too much.
