I had a molar extracted and the extraction actually went very quickly.  No problems at all.  No pain.  I'm in a little pain now but not much, just can't really eat for another day or so.  Just soft foods.

Just dropping by because I know a monkey can help me out (Klaas, carnut, Anna,  Anidac????). My mom just told me that she was on the computer the other day and it started making all this noise and then it said somebody was getting on our computer. Then she said last week she was playing a computer game (not online) and a window popped up and said that something called "Hookers" was being installed. :shock:  :shock:  :shock:

What is up with this, what does this mean and can I do something about it? SHould I check for anything in particular and if so, where? How do I stop this? Please email me if you have any advice or just post it...I will check back soon...

I have more confidence in Florida (the forum poster- although I love the "state of", and have overwhelming confidence in my Gators) than I do with kbm.

I am not troubled by the comment about "Hiram" and possible sighting of Natalee AFTER the beach at a Posner home. It could be a wild figment of the imagination, it could be a case of mistaken identity, it could be a lie someone told FLA, in an attempt to mislead him... or it  could be true. Sort of like the questions on the SAT's, there is "insufficient information" to render a judgment right now.

I think that kbm is so CLEARLY a shill for the AHATA and PVDS that I would take with a barrel of salt anything that he says.

sb Not only is he claiming to be, but he is Kawish.  How do I know?  I tracked him down from his Tickle Site and have been talking for a while.  I thought it would be a good thing to let him answer some questions we have from the Aruba side.  He also speaks pretty good english, and could translate if asked to.  But, there were some people who really went out of the way to treat him badly, and he is thinking of not coming back.  People we have treated with utmost respect when they needed it the most, just came out and reemed him.  He was called a few names too in the interum.  I am not saying my beliefes are the same as his, but he was the one who wanted to come in here and help, and I have to give a thumbs up for being brave.  If we don't see him anymore, he has asked for people to ask me, and relay it back to him.  Yes I looked at his IP's and both of them given to me by him, and on his emails.  One of them is from aruba, the other is coming from either Cali or michigan depending on the day, it may be his server or a static IP.  I don't understand it all, but it is him.  I have talked to him on cam.  Just thought I would put my few cents in before going to school, as for he asked to me do it last night and didn't have a chance.

This guy came in here and made accusations against the family and victim, showed full support for the suspects, and didnt really answer any questions.  He stated his reason for being here was to find out how someone knew he was at the casino that night - he never mentioned that he wanted to come here to help and never appeared to offer any sort of help.

All he did was disrupt the conversation of the Gottenbos and the Paulus statements.  This guy had an agenda and it was not to help.  I could go on with several other things but I have already wasted to much of my time talking about it.  I say if he doesnt want to come back, thats his choice.  No ones going to beg him.

One thing kbm makes apparent: we need to find ways to make hard facts known to the people of Aruba. Things like:

Max DeVries (sp?) and Natalee Holloway were not insurance scams perpetuated by their families.

In different statements after the Holiday Inn drop-off story collapsed, Joran said that -
(a) 2K and Natalee dropped JVDS off at home;
(b) Deepak picked him up from the beach, where JVDS left Natalee;
(c) Satish picked him up from the beach, where JVDS left Natalee;
(d) he walked home from the beach, where JVDS left Natalee.
Why wouldn't Joran be able to say how he got home?
(Does that cover the all scenarios he presented?)

Paulus does not know whether Joran went to school on Monday 5/30, although he knows that the younger brothers did.

How do we get these points - and I'm sure there are others - to the normal people on Aruba?

Since Joran has told the world through interviews that he left Natalee alone on the beach, I find this statement by Deepak interesting because it makes both he & Joran look like they had Natalee's best interests at heart, that being getting her back to the HI.  

This may have been dissected earlier, but it stands out...especially because this statement was made on the heels or about the same time as the confession/recant, iirc.

All of this is why I think that people show up when the heat is on sotospeak, so they are worried about DeVries or something...

them whether they knew that F.B.I. officers were present there

From reading this part, It convinces me even more Paulus knew something.  It took him 15 minutes to come out to see what the police wanted, he took them all on a wild goose chase, then returned.  His story sounds rehearsed - an awful lot of detail for a man who has such a poor memory :roll:   Anyhow, Joran starts getting questioned, and Already has inconsistencies in his story - Paulus sees Joran breaking - and more or less tells them to shut up and only talk to the police....He knows how the police work and he doesn't want Joran or Deepak to say anything to someone other than the police. He tells J & D not to talk to the Americans anymore.  To be sure they don't open their mouths, he rides with them to the HI.  Then when he gets there, Williams takes Joran aside.  I bet Paulus was about to freak - because he finds out Williams is FBI.  I can see him now, running up to ALE and saying - do you realize there is FBI here?  I am SURE he didn't like THAT fact.  Then.....

 One of the police officers had
a lengthy discussion with WILLIAMS in the back of the lobby. I
understood from the officer that he had informed WILLIAMS of
the existence of the so-called “Beach bums

Low and behold, one of the police officers saved Joran from being questioned and told the FBI of the horrible "beach bums"  Already - a diversion.

Paulus was REALLY working it that night.  POS!!!!!

I hate to say this, but I don't think the people in aruba care...

i think they have just gotten so used to the scam the tourists that it's just a way of life...

Why would Paulus misidentify Williams as being from the FBI?

Because he's invoking jurisdictional turf to isolate the HT Family and put Aruban polis on notice that their zone of operation has been invaded by an outside law enforcement agency.  Thereby shutting down what's "admissable" during these conversations and re-enactments during the early hours of May 31, 2005, i.e. any conversation w/ Williams is disallowed.

Absolutely...since DEA is also a US government agency, his mis-ID as FBI was not pursued by ALE.  Guess it doesn't matter, based on their judicial system.

EX-DEA Agent Eric Williams

Eric Willaims, at the time he accompanied HT family to sloot house and HI on 5/31, was NOT even an active member of the DEA force.

He was either in another job or retired.  

He is described as "EX DEA Agent".

You see what paulus was doing?  He isolated HT Family, put Aruban polis in cautious and potentially confrontational position in listening to HT info, and set up a situation which would later contribute to lackadasical polis action (Why help the HT family? Before they even came to local Aruban polis, they had the US FBI w/ them...if the FBI is so good, let them help HT family...).

Not only that, as mentioned before, he is calling the whole 5/31 meeting and re-enactment into question re: the status of its usefulness and admissability in a courtroom.

I remember this case.  I hate that woman and her son.  Two nuts.

Well Mrs. Red, Red his personal self came on board and revealed exactly who *kbm* is (an unusal event in and of itself). Then we had many posts challenging that identity, up to and including an accusation of being *SandraK*.  We had demands for additional personal information from him. We had posts claiming that *kbm" was sent here to distract us.

I don't know why *kbm* wanted to come here. I wish I knew. We don't exactly have an audience in Aruba.

My insight is that we need to get hard facts to the "normal" people there. The dialogue has been convoluted at best, and orchestrated by the wrong people at worst.

I certainly don't expect that coming here every day and patting ourselves on the back is going to accomplish much.

Again, I suspect that the trip around the block was to retrieve Natalee a second time. Dunno why I never made that connection before. Guess sometimes it just has to stew in my brain for awhile (like months  :oops: ).

What is puzzling to me is that Jossy Mansur has the biggest newspaper on the island.  How hard is it to put a link in his paper requesting the Aruban people to view the statements on this site.  If they don't have access to a computer maybe he can show one statement in his paper for the people to read and judge for themselves.

I think we would need to make people WANT to do some reading. Maybe some ads. I will PAY for them.

We need to pick the most viable, attention-demanding aspect of the statements. I mentioned two in my earlier post; suggestions welcome. We need them correctly translated into Pap, and also use the exact same text in the Dutch versions.

Then include the links to the appropriate supporting statements in the ad.

Since we do not know where these statements were acquired or from whom, perhaps legally, he may have reservations.  I understand what you are saying, San, but I'm just thinking of his position and their laws.  Of course, the statements in Dutch would be easily read by most Arubans, I would think, if he has them at hand.

msmarple,  the statements were translated from papiamento to dutch by the officers.  Then, from dutch to english by bfn or klaas or whomever.  Getting text in pap will be a challenge, I would imagine.

If he is worried about their laws how about a simple add in his paper saying if you would like to learn more about the Natalee Holloway case and what the Americans think please visit www.scaredmonkeys.com or www.scaredmonkeys.net.  We don't have to mention the statements I'm sure they will find them.

My suggestion: the back seat of the cop car conversation by the 3 suspects.  If you can put this together, I will chip in on the costs.

Yeah, I know. But it would not be much in any given ad - just the conflicting sentences from several statements, for example.

Maybe I am wrong about this, but I think Papiameno is the most widely-spoken language? Because most of the papers seem to be in Pap?

Does EVERYONE there speak Dutch? If so, that makes it a little simpler - we have the Dutch versions; Klaas can find the sentences we need.

Ms. Marple, et al, I am glad to hear you guys are going to have a nice weekend out of town.  My weekend is just beginning too.  I am packing up to go to hospital.  That little problem that just never stopped has exacerbated to the point my doctor is being very demanding.  I hope to see you guys next week but for now, what seemed like a chronic nag has become an acute problem and will need to be treated, but I am sure it is no big worry; if it had been, it would not be going on this long.

Actually, most of the statements were not initially in Pap, many were Dutch and some were English.

I guess I was recalling the lines stating this was taken in (English,Spanish, Papiamento, etc) and translated to Dutch, by whomever.  When msmarple mentioned papiamento, that seemed impossible to me...guess FOM found that to be a understatement...LOL, thus the  :roll:  :roll:

I started off this AM trying to start a discussion about the statements and for whatever reason, I don't think my posts have been clear since.

NJmom... that is because the statements are so dern inconsistent that trying to talk about them is a task in and of itself... :twisted:

If they had been honest and cooperative from the beginning, the "procedure" wouldn't have been scary and caused a panic.  They lied because they are hiding something.  They kept telling stories, but only part of those stories are true.  They haven't told us what they did with Natalee yet.  I hope they panic again and again every time they see someone or something that reminds them of what they did and that the world is still watching, waiting for them to pay for it.

I have to agree, Mrs. Red.  KBM said the other night that he thinks they lied because they didn't want to get caught up in it, not knowing it would become such a media event.  I think this is typical thinking in Aruba.  It's the US media's fault.  Like they can't see that even if j2k were innocent (Oh! that doesn't make my computer explode.  Good!)  their lies may have prevented the family and authorities from finding her or any evidence of what really happened.  They don't care about that.  She was a tourist who was drinking too much and easy like the rest of them and she got into the car willingly with 3 boys.  Then comes a collective shrug and scowl towards America.

So it's kind of what I was trying to say... no point in being rude, but it's not like he is going to tell us anything... and we aren't going to change his mind.  There are a lot of jk2 minions running around... and I just don't think that he is much different,

I think some people were attempting to contact the local authorities and school officials in his town to make them aware of the Gottenbos involvement in this case.  I wonder if any of that was successful, if there has ben any response from those authorities/officials?  Have we ben keping an eye on their local paper/news stations?  Do we know if the local news stations for that area have websites?  Possibly websites with message boards would be nice?

FWIW I spoke with multiple people in the clerks office in Gwinnett County, Georgia looking for the a recorded deed for the Gottenbos'.  According to 3 seperate databases there are no Gottenbos' in Gwinnett with a mortgage.  I presume they are either still staying with Franciscus or are renting in Buford.  Someone suggested they were in Buford, within miles of the Mills Creek HS where Sander attends although I have not seen any confirmation of this.

Grande posted that they lived next to the Gottenbos' in Georgia.....

Franciscus Olmtak was the Gottenbos' next door neighbor in Malmokweg.   Olmtak's also have a home in Dacula, Georgia as seen in the link I posted.  According to Sander's Tickle site, the Gottenbos' are also living in Dacula.  The picture of Sander with the $1300 is in the parking lot of Mills Creek HS in Buford, Georgia just north of Dacula.  The speculation is either the Gottenbos' are renting from the Olmtak's or are living with them.   The link I posted shows Sander standing in the Olmtak's driveway on Dacula Oaks Trail.

Atlanta has changed a lot since I spent any time there but Gwinnett County is definitely an upscale and booming area. I understand that it is now starting to outstrip the NW suburbs in Cobb as the "place to go" for the upper middle-class crowd. It is not the standard Georgia trailer-park haven any more. It is not a place to pack up your station wagon and head off to with the want ads in hand. You had best be quite well established before making a move there.

Further proof that the Gottenbos family is particularly well-heeled.

Gwinnett County is online, Jackson County is not.  However in some cases if you explain what you are looking for they will be more inclined to offer more detailed results than what will appear online.  That link I posted has the image from the Gwinnett County GISystem.

Were you prepared to testify on behalf of Joran in the civil suit?  As you may or may not know, Joran's counsel provided your name along with 20 others as potential character witnesses for the defense?  One of the ‘character witnesses’, Sasha Ridpath stated ‘how could you defend him’ when she was informed of Joe Tacopina’s response affidavit outlining Joran’s associates.

So...KBM says that when he returned to Aruba back in 2005 after Natalee disappeared he went to a dinner at the Marriott and Freddy WAS working there at the time..as a waiter or something.

We know he was working as a bartender at Champions in November 2005.  Freddy would have been the logical person to give Joran a ride home if Deepak and Satish did not.

Yes, I did. It is one of my faves, too, though you've seen more of them than I have. Casa is right. Nat's so beautiful, and not just through her looks. Her very soul shines in so many of them.

Congrats to the Cards, they whooped up on our Tigers and deserved to win it.  They outpitched, outhit, outplayed us in every aspect of the game and were a real class act throughout the entire series.  It was nice for the team and their fans to be able to win it at home!

It was a good show though, 2 teams that werent even "supposed" to make the playoffs!!!

I'd like Dana to get someone on - psychologist, psychiatrist, behavioral expert, on who can give us some insights.  Whether it's a woman who borrows a cell phone and ends up dead, someone shooting kids in a school, or an entire (small) nation not caring that they have sexual predators in their midst and blaming another (large) country for it  :shock: , I'd like some help understanding.

It may be part of the US, but if you want to go there and you're from Aruba, you can't acknowledge that.  The US is just for easy girls and easy schools.   :x

Not according to Julia, the Aruban media darling, who says American girls are easy and if you're not, you have to prove it to the young men of Aruba once you get off the plane.  Then there's KBM who was told that American schools are easy.  Tell that to Northwestern, Harvard, Stanford .... :shock:   Hey Aruba!  We have 300 million people.  Some of them are girls and some are easy.  We have lots of schools.  Some of them are easy and some of them are so hard even you're smartest person (Joran, who is off the charts intelligent according to CCroes), couldn't get into, let alone graduate from.   Most importantly, Americans don't like it when guys routinely prey on young women of any nation and when they get caught with their pants down, daddy jumps in to get them off while blaming the victim.  Oh, wait, I think Aruba knows that one.   :)  They don't like it, but they know it.

COSBY: How so?  What could you learn?  Could we learn who the suspects are, what happened to Natalee?  What avenue...

DUBOIS: Well, in this case, you have the right suspects.  They‘re completely guilty.  The things that I would find important to be looking at, if I were working this case, would be, for instance, that these three boys have done this to other girls before that were visiting Aruba as tourists.  It just hasn‘t escalated to murder, but I would look at the pattern that was set down by their past victims.  

COSBY: Now, Allison, you said that these guys are completely guilty.  

DUBOIS: Yes.  

COSBY: You know, they haven‘t been convicted.  

DUBOIS: Sure.  

COSBY: Why do you say that?  

DUBOIS: Well, fortunately, I can head tap people.  That‘s what they use me to do for jury selection for the prosecution and to head tap people who commit murders.  So I know that, just by looking at their picture, whether or not they committed the crime.  

I can also tell you that Jordan Van Der Sloot‘s father knows a lot more than he‘s saying and, in my mind, is almost as guilty as they are, because he has helped to cover up this crime.  

COSBY: Now, what is head tap?  And what role, also, did Joran‘s father play, in your mind?

DUBOIS: Head tapping is when I basically can see through the eyes of the person who committed the crime.  And I do understand Mr. Holloway‘s concern in religion.  And I always say, if you‘re going to bring somebody in that does what I do to make sure you bring someone in that‘s valid, that has a track record, ethically, and that‘s able to bring in specific details of a crime.  

I don‘t think they should work necessarily with the parents of the victim, but the law enforcement involved, which makes it difficult in this case because it‘s a foreign government that‘s being dealt with, which makes it even more difficult.  

COSBY: Now, Allison, you know, the big question everyone is wondering, is Natalee dead or alive?  What‘s her state?  

DUBOIS: Well, and with all due respect to the parents, and I hope I say this with sensitivity, she was not sold on the black market.  She has passed.  And I think, right now, we‘re just working to maybe find a little justice for her.  

I‘m all for the boycott, because any pressure that you put on the government is going to be good in getting something out of them other than what they‘ve offered up.  

COSBY: And real quick, I don‘t know if you can foresee the future, but will we see closure to this case, real quick?  

DUBOIS: I actually do think one of the boys will turn on the other boys and offer up something that will lead to a resolve of the case.  I always did see them near the water with her.  So my concern is that Van Der Sloot knew exactly where to put her, water-wise, where the decomposition or the elements in the water would make it so that she would not be found.

I would like to hear about other cases she does as well.... I know that the show Medium is based on her -

My personal belief is that there are two people using that nic although I have not asked RED or Klaas about it.... but the syntax changes too much.... and that one is the kid, and one is someone coaching the kid... and I don't for one second think that either really care about anything other than protecting the island.  That is MY personal belief.... I think that the people on the island fall for the insurance scam BS so easily because scamming has become the way of life...

tourists are people to them - tourist are what you use to make your money and well too bad if "something bad happens"... after all they asked for it....

I think that that is Kaiwsh. I would not say I am ' facinated" with him, but I felt very bad the other day when some insults were hurled. He says he was not on Aruba during that time period. And I tend to believe him.
I doubt very much that anything will be dislosed that will be of any use in determining what happend to Natalee.
We are just dealing in Island gossip and speculation right now with him.
