Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland permitted a California attorney - who is on Casey Anthony's defense team - to practice law here once he pays filing fees with the Florida Bar, according to paperwork filed today in court.

Todd Macaluso joined the Casey Anthony team last month. He told reporters on March 2 that he excels at cross-examining technical experts.

"This is my world. I deal with the best experts in the world and I deal with the best attorneys in the world," he said after a court hearing last month."And on a case such as this where I believe that she is innocent, I'm going to fight as hard as I can to prove that in a court of law."
In January, Macaluso was accused of unprofessional conduct in California.

The complaint was filed with The California Bar because Macaluso didn't have enough money in an account to cover several business expenses totaling more than $170,000 between July 2006 and February 2007.

Macaluso responded in writing in February to the charges. He wrote that the financial mistake was due to his office staff supervising the account. He wasn't overseeing the account at the time because of the unexpected death of his brother. The mistake was not intentional.

The investigation in California is pending.

ok so if that whole Annie, Zanny, Casey ticket story is true...then why wouldnt morgan bring in Annie to ask her about that? Can you imagine if Annie said she thats all true, Casey said she was Zanny then for Casey to say Zanny killed Caylee, she is talking about herself.

‘She should not be in jail right now’ says new Anthony attorney

New addition to the Anthony defense team, Todd Macaluso.

The newest member of the Casey Anthony defense team claims she will be proven innocent at trial. “She should not be in jail right now,” Todd Macaluso said on Monday.   

According to Macaluso, “The more people and the more talent and different experience that we have on the case will certainly contribute to the best case being put on.  I think everyone adds a different dimension to a very good trial team.”

Macaluso's firm specializes in plaintiffs who have suffered serious injury or death due to “aviation accidents, airline accidents, product liability… premises liability cases and medical malpractice cases… He has a 92% win track record in court before juries.”

Macaluso calls the state’s evidence in the Anthony case “junk science” and claims there is an explanation for all the forensic evidence found in the case, including the decomposing hair found in Anthony's trunk that was thought to be Caylee's.

“The evidence is going to be very surprising to a lot of people in this community,” Macaluso said.

A court date for Anthony’s murder trial is tentatively set for Oct. 12.  Anthony is charged with the first-degree murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

Thanks boo for that. I'm getting madder by the day, and it has now become my life's goal to watch this until the end, Caylee's justice is going to take a lot longer than expected, with a death penalty case now, this is going to take a long time to get this to trial. Cindy, George, Lee, and their pals, can continue to think they are going to get away with everything they have done. Sooner or later this is all going to come crashing down around their heads, and I'm not going anywhere, because I want to watch every last moment of their misery.

Judge OKs California Lawyer In Casey Anthony Case

ORLANDO --A judge has ruled a new lawyer from California can join Casey Anthony’s legal team.
   
Todd Macaluso was brought on board Casey Anthony's legal team last month.  But controversy surfaced after it was learned he was accused of unprofessional conduct in California.
   
A complaint alleged he didn't have enough money to cover some business expenses, but Macaluso later blamed that on an office staff mistake.
   
The judge ruled, despite the trouble, he can practice law in Florida once he pays the filing fees with the Florida Bar.
   
Macaluso was hired because he excels at cross examining technical experts on the stand.

I'm flipping over all this right now. Now the defense for Melissa Huckabee, want little Sandra's body to be exhumed so they can do their own autopsy. Between this and the da_n Anthonys I'm going to scream, if I only had the energy to scream.

When George goes back to answer questions in his deposition maybe Morgan should ask for financial disclosure & the Anthonys 2009 tax return, that could get interesting, oopsie maybe they should have answered before April 15th.    Its obvious neither of them are working, Id ask how they are paying their bills, its a legitimate question for a civil suit because they could under their homeowners policy or separate possible suit against them personally may come to light due to Cindy's personal public comments regarding this Zeneida.   Hmmm

Most definitely Jesse should sue them after the criminal trial - to coin an overused Anthony family word ABSOLUTELY, my touch on it ABSOFRIGGINLUTELY!

Casey is the only person involved who had motive, means and opportunity. She killed Caylee.

Her motive -- was to get rid of her "burden" so she could be free and be with Tony unhindered and to hurt her mother.

I pray the jury does not fall for any of the defense's tricks and outright lies.

I had it bad with my youngest daughter. And though I believe the research of what can all happen if this goes untreated with some women, if the defense would go with this, they would have to admit to Casey killing Caylee......

I'm not downplaying the problems with it. Sorry you had such a bad time. I know some women suffer with it and it is bad and prolonged. I just don't believe it was the case with Casey, no more than I think she has bulimia. I think this is just some more throw chit against the wall. Progressive Postpartum Depression and Psychosis

A common misperception is that the postpartum depression is nothing more than the “baby blues” and will disappear on its own shortly after childbirth. [22] However, if untreated, the disease can develop into a more severe form, progressive postpartum depression or even psychosis. When this happens, the mother suffers from continued episodes of mania or depression, each one progressively worse than the last. Rejections, separations, and losses often trigger subsequent recurrent episodes. Because of the episodic nature, the woman is often untreated or undiagnosed until a tragedy occurs.

Despite the common misconception that only newborns are at risk from this disease, mothers suffering from the more severe form kill older children. The case of Andrea Yates more than amply illustrates this point.

First off,  you are incorrect about Yates because she had a host of psychiatric problems for many years outside of PPD - it was the LEAST of her issues.  I'm sorry but  while I feel her husband was totally negligent in allowing her to care for 5 children alone & she was not being treated sufficiently,  she did not suffer merely from PPD after one much less five births.

Secondly, Casey had issues BEFORE she was pregnant, pathological lying, stealing, dropping out of high school one class shy of graduation requirements, etc. but they do not rise to the level that she did not know right from wrong NOR meet the criteria of the criminally insane...sorry no go.

Thirdly, her own family adamantly has stated that she has had no mental health issues publicly & via sworn statement & never assisted her in getting mental health professional treatment.

Last but certainly not least, Casey's deliberate actions to conceal things that she has done makes this argument very weak - as well as her extremely active role in participating in her defense including trying to implicate others.    Lenamon go back and crawl in your pond scum hole your blogs arent worth the paper you are wasting in this nation's economic crisis, its really no wonder why you are merely left to defend the most heinous in our society.

Just saw in Sara's chat room that Will Casterlin (the crazy guy that loves KC) bought the land.  This may be rumor but Sara seems to be stating it as fact.  Said that RG called and told them.(????)
I think Sara is LP secretary now. 
Anyway just wanted to pass this along.  Maybe some smart money can find out for sure.  I don't know how to do all that.

Gonzalez Attorneys Prepare For Anthonys On Oprah
No Sale Pending For Caylee Memorial Land

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez said Friday they are preparing a packet of information in advance of George and Cindy Anthony appearing on national TV next month.

Gonzalez's lawyers said they plan to send the information to Oprah Winfrey in hopes she'll ask the Anthonys tougher questions.

Gonzalez is suing Casey Anthony because she said her reputation was ruined when she was named as the nanny who kidnapped Caylee. Casey Anthony is at the Orange County Jail, charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. Caylee's remains were found in a wooded area off of Suburban Drive near the Anthonys East Orange County home last December.

Gonzalez's lawyers said they're preparing video evidence showing how the Anthonys depositions last week contradicted their previous sworn testimony.

George Anthony was combative and refused to answer some of the more pointed questions posed by attorneys for Gonzalez.

The Anthony's attorney scolded Gonzalez's lawyers for their line of questioning.

Now Gonzalez's lawyers are questioning if it pains the Anthonys so much to answer their questions, why are they willing to go on national television and relive the nightmare of losing Caylee with Oprah?

Gonzalez's lawyers are also preparing what they said are videotaped examples to send to Winfrey of the Anthonys contradicting themselves in sworn testimony. Why?

"We hope that she will ask them some tough questions based on this information," attorney Keith Mitnik said.

They plan to share that information when they send it out next week.

Meanwhile, there is no sale pending on the land where slain toddler's Caylee Anthony's remains were found, WESH 2 News confirmed Friday.

In the online listing for the property, three photos show no evidence that a memorial with hundreds of stuffed animals still sits on that property.

The property is listed for $89,900.

I'm not sure about search warrants for pavers, but I think the pavers could be compared back to the Ants. If not from the material made of the pavers, I'm sure the soil samples on the pavers found and in the Ants yard would be a match. JMO JSM.

The for-sale signs might have come down, but no sale is pending on land where a makeshift Caylee Anthony memorial stands, WESH-Channel 2 reported this afternoon.

In a report yesterday, the station asked if the land might have been sold.

But a Web listing for the land remains active, WESH's Bob Kealing said today. The asking price: $89,900.

The real-estate agent has been told by the land's owner not to make any statement about the sale, WESH added.

WESH also conducted a poll: Should the state help pay for Anthony's death-penalty defense? She is charged with daughter Caylee's murder.

The results: 91 percent no and 7 percent said yes, anchor Jim Payne said. But a graphic said the opposite.

When the state decided to seek the death penalty, Anthony became eligible for state money. That sum could reach $1 million, Payne said.

No problem Danabar. Rumours are rumours, BUT sometimes rumours are truth minus the proof. Keep posting along. I like the way you do your investigating. JSM is too lazy to dig up evidence and stuff. Keep up the good work. JMO JSM

OK, had to come back for a second.  It's all good DANABAR! You didn't waste our time!  We just get fixated on things when it's slow, then I get frustrated when I can't find out anymore info and just give up!  My only experience w/Chatdango is Joy! LOL!  Please bring anything you can to the cage the monkeys are good at hammering out the BS.
