I made it, finally

Geez..been trying to keep up for a couple of days, but had 2 of my GC and I feel like poor Trimm...and I didn't even play badmitton.

Did you all hear LKB mention to the judge that she has been doing the depo's via SKPE?  Why do you all think she thought it was important to work that into the hearing's minutes?

I have my own ideas and I think Andrea Lyon alluded to it in her press interview.

I just watched that "incident" segment of the hearing, there is a quick slight gulp in the throat & eye bulge from Casey proceeding to wide opened blank stare - usually when one is speaking and does that its an indication of lying/concealing....so what I can glean from that is she knows Bozo is lying for her.  The rest of her reactions range from being emotionally detached with the ability to crack comments, write notes (one can imagine), flirt & laugh despite the conversation being about Caylee's murder to being  full of disdain for her predicament.  The note she passed to Lyons was either asking who was behind her to the right or making a crack about who was behind her to the right side of the aisle judging by the look Lyons takes in that direction & nods yes -- my guess Rev Grund, and Im sure she & her parents were extremely uncomfortable with that presence....its gonna get much worse than that so they better purchase some big girl & boy panties at Target, maybe a case of depends.

I did notice that!  I was surprised b/c the press had (IIRC) reported that Baez was doing depositions.  It hadn't occurred to me that LKB (and/or Macaluso?) could be doing them, via Skype....

What do you think, BG?  Tell! 

Please share your ideas. All I know about skype is pc to pc phone calls at no charge or something like that

I think that link to the InSessions post about showing Bozo & KC AFTER the her watching the TV on Dec. 11 makes sense.  Think about it...for the Judge to make a complaint to the Bar about Bozo and then to proceed on the case is pretty unusual.  I would think that the Defense would be yelling for him to recuse himself.

And what about Bozo wanting to meet the judge alone?  Totally unheard of.  Nobody here has mentioned anything about that post too much.  I totally believe it myself because it just makes sense.

I did read every single post from today and there have been some really good ones. Some I would have posted back on, but now it is too late and wouldn't make sense. Best discussion we have had in a while. I am glad I am in the cage with such smart and caring monkeys.

So you're thinking there might be something to what we heard about Bozo feeling up KC's a$$ and it was caught on tape?  Maybe that is one of the bar complaints against him? If that's the case, you would think the wheels of justice would have turned faster and Bozo would be off the case and who knows what else. I know our system moves very slowly but if there is documentation of misconduct it should be a priority. Just a guess on my part and I've been wrong lots of times.

Now I know what link you are referring to. I don't really care one whit about seeing Casey's performance. I am sure she can put on a good show when she need to.  The part I want to see is the soundless video that was routinely watched with Casey and Bozo in the conference room. They know they are being videoed every time, so I think in the heat of the moment Bozo forgot himself.  That is going to bite him in the behind and the part he does not want out. Yes it does move slow...just this week they announced that the complaints moved up past the initial review. 

(sorry it took me so long to respond..had to go for a hot shower to see if I could get the joints working enough to type)

It looked like LKB, Macalousa (sp) and Andrea Lyon were looking at Bozo in astonishment while he was talking in the courtroom (wonder if they have told Bozo yet how horrible he is). 

They all know that he is going to put the jury to sleep during the trial with all of his ums and ers and that the SA is trying the whole time to keep a straight face.  You actually forget the point that he is trying to make in mid-sentence (he forgets also IMO).

I agree the DP atty usually makes their appearance much later...however, in this case the State wanted to know WHO the DP atty is NOW.  IMO, that is why the State put the DP back on the table......to put Bozo in the 2nd Chair....because they know KC has grounds for ineffectiveness of counsel.  Inappropriate groping, sexual contact, etc.....is grounds for ineffectiveness of counsel...and the Judge nor the SA want to try this twice.  So sorry I feel like I am rambling.  Will be busy most of tomorrow and wanted to get this down before it left the front of my mind.

Also, my 2 cents about Cindy's scared, deserate look in court.  I think she DID know about Andrea Lyon..from Brad and he ran down her reputation to her & George  (if Brad didn't already know about her)....and Cindy's SCARED and desperate. 

IMO...KC is/was determined to have the LAST WORD in this one-up contest...she was willing to go to the extreme by killing Caylee...and she has nothing to lose.  KC knew it was a possibility that she would get caught and was living her 'bucket list'.  Driving Cindy into the mud is part of that list.




 

As I have been reading the comments regarding C&Gs demeanor during the last hearing I wonder how much was for real and how much was for show.

They should be scared, upset, and/or concerned which they have not visually expressed in the past. And they have been criticized for it. I wonder if perhaps SOME of their expressions and actions could have been an act to show that they are "normal" parents who are concerned about their daughter.

Somehow I doubt my own theory but with this bunch, ya never know what is real and what isn't.

Good food for thought,Bluesy. I also wondered if perhaps the request for non profit status for their "foundation" had been denied. That is the only thing I know that would provoke the anger,fear and frustration evident in their facial expressions.

I don't know why G&C came to court looking the way they did - but I hope it has something to do with them being investigated/arrested in the near future, in addition to what another monkey suggested - that their blood money scam is in jeopardy.   We haven't seen CA cry very often - so it must be a biggie.   JMO.

I didn't see any strange reaction. I did see KC 'sigh'...but nothing more. I watched it 3 times. Baez is like Porky Pig when he speaks. It is quite pathetic, lol. Abadee abadee abadee......that's all folks!!

Judge Strickland is almost beggging the media to demand the tapes. There has to be something that Bozo does not want seen. When KC turned around to shake hands with the folks behind her Bozo put his hand on her back twice. He just has to touch her in some fashion.

I have another thought about why Cindy and George looked so bad in court Thursday. Remember one of the first jail videos and Casey told them that she had just come from the jail psychologist? Casey told Cindy, "Don't worry Mom. I didn't tell them anything." Maybe they have gotten wind that Casey has now spilled the beans, whatever they are.    ::MonkeyEek::

Someone may have already mentioned this in the last thread. Boy, you guys were going so fast I couldn't keep up, so I skimmed a lot. I am going back today and really read the previous cage. The brain power was revved up last night!    ::MonkeyDance::

I think Cindy's pizzed off look is simply because she is used to domineering everyone around her and she is being left totally out of the KC loop. No one even acknowledged her...

I have e-mailed my contacts with the media to ask them to talk to their legal departments so that a representative will be there for the next court appearance. Ususally, Orlando Sentinal has a lawyer there. I don't know why she hasn't been there the last couple of times.  ::MonkeyNoNo::

Something must have happened long before they got to court. It didn't look like either of them has slept for a couple of days or more.
The swagger and even the gum chewing was gone. I did notice Spindy got her bottle of "water" into the courtroom in her bag. She looked bother terrified, angry, and  scared. George didn't look much better. Things have obviously taken a big turn. It could be Lyon. They can't be happy with that choice. Or it may be something else, much worse. The both looked pathetic trying to get at least a look from Casey, which she did not oblige them with. Ah, the winds of change, they are ablowin'.   ::MonkeyRoll::

She has lost the title of Ring Master. Cindy has finally met her match with Lyons.

WO   yep, I bet it's the first time that she's out of the loop and others are making decisions, big decisions. Seems like she may be very uoset if she gets the idea that their past , if nothing else, will be under a microscope. She won't be able to control what kc tells about the family, she will not be able to do damage control without explaining incident after incident. She'll basically have to save herself at some point by telling the world that kc is a wackjob. Up til now, she's maintained that their lil family is your garden variety, no big probs, blah,blah.

Finally, she must be sweating bullets, their scam will really be under seige. When Lyons start revealing what a tortured life sweet kc (barf) had, I don't think the invites for fund raisers, public appearances for the foundation are going to be successful. I hope that is the case, finally something that will force ppl. to look twice before contributing to the A's retirement fund.

Again, I'm confused, the incident comment, what could this possibly mean? That there was an incident and somehow Caylee got in the way and was killed, the incident with Cindy choking Casey, what incident?

Did you see the little eye thing on kc?  It wasn't huge but one of those things, like if you know your child is fibbing cause they always have a little eye twitch or something, she really does seem to react to his muff on words, to me, anyways.

I don't know about reading people, but for one second when she inhaled, I think in her mind she knows she is screwed. I bet that new lawyer is gonna knock the crap out of KC and tell her she better show some emotion in the courtroom or else.

I agree with all the posts about Cindy............ something's changed. I think that her own lack of success in court may have contributed to her fear of these proceedings and may be adding to all the points made here. She knows first hand that things don't have to go according to her way of thinking in a court room and that the court is all powerful when they don't. JMO.

As far as Casey not even giving them a glance........ I don't know. Casey comes into court with absolute tunnel vision these days. To me, she seems painfully aware the world is watching, and I'm thinking she wouldn't want to have to look at Jessie, his dad, Amy, etc. anymore than Cindy and George. She knows that she and her team are plotting to point fingers at anybody other than herself, and as she enters an arena where those people may be present, she just keeps a determined eye on her team rather than those she's willing to take her place in this. JMO.

You brought out a good point about KC not having any grounds to claim ineffective counsel with AL onboard.  Quite possibly part of the reason SA brought back the DP. I also believe that there is a lot of damning evidence we haven't seen yet.

Thank-you, I see. I for the life of me, cannot see how Baez will stay lead attorney. Linda and Andrea whether I care for them or not, do have reputations that I'm sure they would somewhat like to maintain. I don't see how these two burly women, are going to allow such a bumbling fool to continue. Casey does have nervous twitches and habits, the hand rubbing and hair pulling. Again I'll ask, if a lawyer and his/her client are having sex, is there no lawyer law that says that can't be happening, and the lawyer is off the case?

Always1 I read your post on the previous thread and I must say what you did was very commendable it takes people like you who are persistent to keep this problem in the forefront and protect our children.  So I am not off topic in here I will leave you a little background of a situation that has touched my life about suspected abuse against kids.  What you did was honorable.

WHY haven't we seen attorneys for the media before Judge Strickland fighting for the people's right to see the video of Casey on December 11.  IMO the Judge is practically begging the media to present a case!

ITA agree.  N2...they definately have more than enough evidence to convince a jury that she did it and that she deserves the DP.  

All the talking heads says that this case is really going to make it difficult to convict future cases of Murder1 because those cases won't/don't have this much evidence.

I agree and up to this point she has not had to face those who have fallen prey to KC's lies and now the finger pointing - hate to tell her it is only going to get worse - wait until she has to face them while they are sitting on the stand right in front of her - I want to see her squirm.

I have been thinking about the way Cindy and George looked in court yesterday and then the time prior.  The time prior they were madbecause they heard they were being included in the lawsuit by ZG.

Since then I think the doc dump we haven't seen, but I thought Baez got last week, there may be some things in there that can not be denied as far as evidence against Casey.  Next, I think that Brad has told them he is either leaving their employee completely or that he will not represent them in the criminal case.  I also think he probably said who was representing KC now..and what Lyon's is like...ie..expect to be used as an example of a possible suspect..you are going under the bus.  The bubble is burst.

All those things would be like a ton of bricks..the whole show as they have created it is over and will be exposed...and by whom that ungrateful b*tch of daughter that they feel they have done everything they could for up until now.

So now the resolution hits that they have to not only take cover..they are going to have to come out swinging.....  I am of the firm belief that George and Cindy and Lee will go under the bus..but until someone pointed it out..like their attorney.. they could not comprehend of her doing this to them.  (Although Ray Charles could have seen this one coming)

That "incident" thing on the video and Casey's reaction was worth watching. It made me realize that very little content of the hearings so far have been about Caylee per se............. it's mostly been procedural. When Baez sort of stumbled on the word "incident" I thought it was just a contrast he was making between a sudden happening, like an accident, and premeditation.

It appears to be a violation if it exploits the lawyer client client relationship. In other words I guess it's up for debate and depends on if the client feels she was used afterwards.

You're not the only one that has trouble interpreting legal mumbo jumbo. As far as starting a sexual relationship after the lawyer is retained is not clear to me. I know the atty can't trade his legal services for sex and he can be sanctioned for that. And I think it would be depend on the client making a complaint against the atty because how can you prove they are having sex if the client doesn't admit it? I'm not making much sense but unless two people admit to it, its hard to prove they are involved in sexual relations.

Yeah, thinking back to Morgan's depos with Cindy and George....he has such a honey sweet voice and is in no way melodramatic...Can't even imagine how those two are gonna hold it togather when they are cross examined by Lyon.

We had to go in the woods we were laughing so hard.

We would never have Skype either if it weren't for my son. It is very simple to download, however. You can even use a web cam if you want to see the other person. I notice they are using it a lot on some of the news channels, especially Fox News Net. Really clear pics too!

IIRC Conway asked for immunity and it was turned down.

I am thinking they were told that Lyon is going to use them as the defense. I doubt they would tell them the details, but I am sure Conway has been told to be prepared.  He is not capable of defending them in a serious case or charge, so expect to see other attorneys coming into the team.

I am betting they are going to NEED them shortly.

If I understood it right. Baez filed that new motion just hours before court and there was a "notification" problem with the press. They had not received any notice of the new motion, so Strickland had to give them time to be served.

OK, another long one from yours truly but there are a few things probably eating at Cindy of recent:

1)  She is furious that they will be added to the civil case as defendants (rightfully so, Cindy advanced the slander publicly on behalf of her daughter).   Cindy must have gotten the news that all their efforts to make blood money & to live off of donations is at risk of being taken from them via extra attorney costs & a judgment against them when Morgan & Morgan wins their case for Zeneida (notice the way I phrased that).   

2)  She is fuming that Casey will not acknowledge her & she no longer has any control (see below).

4)  She is livid that they could not object to their phone #'s/texts being disclosed to the defense because had they objected it would surely cast guilt on Casey & appear as if they had something to hide - on this issue they were caught between a rock and a hard place.   Hmmm, maybe we will also learn about this "prepaid cell" Annie discussed knowledge of that Casey used out on bond.  One should note that "Conman" advising them not to object & the judge granting the motion does NOT limit how far back and to what extent Bozo can pick apart their communications with the world & she fears the world will indeed see them.   Note, at a later date the judge may intervene & order that those records be redacted but since there was no original objection, maybe not.   Hmmm...calls to media outlets, producers, internet bloggers & forum admins that she argued with....calls to Joy, Ginny the psychic, Dominic, her hairdresser knows for sure LOL...o my the juicy list seems to be endless.   Now content wont be retrieved but that contact information would become available for anyone that may want to try to see what people have to say regarding their communications, her texts will show content.  She is petrified what that will reveal.

5)  For some time now the Anthonys are very aware that they did not receive full immunity.  At best as it stands right now, they would have limited immunity when they are subpoenaed to testify by the State.   What that means is that while anything they say may not be held against them, at the same time if they are impeached via previous statements & they commit perjury (and they will) that goes out the window & does not protect them from being prosecuted.  Additionally, without full immunity other testimony or new evidence presented against them by other means/eyewitness regarding anything criminal libel on their part can be used against them.   Finally, everything they testify to that further slanders others in this case is not protected from civil action by those parties...i.e. Jesse Grund, Zeneida, etc.

6)  Cindy is seething right now because while she should be grateful & relieved that this high-profile death penalty opponent is on Casey's team, she has had to receive knowledge that Lyons is known for using a defendant's past to indicate all the sob story reasons why the defendant is screwed up & should be spared their life and/or get a reduced sentence.   Knowing Casey will not acknowledge her even in court for a wave much less anything else has Cindy panicked that is exactly what her monster is going to do with a personal thrill in doing so.  Every effort Cindy has made to conceal all the family dirty laundry will be aired in that courtroom.   I must note here that there is a huge problem with Casey's defense claiming mental disorders/defects during the case-in-chief or penalty phase, Cindy herself said on several occasions that Casey had none in her past (FBI interview, Greta 7/21  interview to name 2), there are no medical records prior to her arrest indicating any either.

Besides what I observed from Casey when Bozo was discussing "the incident" (see pg 3 or so here) I noticed a few other things that the future jury will undoubtedly see.

Casey is very aware of her surroundings & situation.  She constantly confers & shares chuckles with her attorneys.  She is very aware of the cameras & when she writes she actually conceals it with a top page that she flips over where she writes a note underneath (o to be a fly on the wall).  While there has been much discussion about Casey not acknowledging her parents in court (and she can if she chose to) she does observe the rest of the room.   There was a telling moment at the hearing where she writes a note to Lyons & then Lyons looked over the right side of the aisle from where they were seated, nodded yes & then Casey chuckled...my guess is she made a remark or pointed out who Rev Grund was to "the beast."  Another time when Bozo slandered Jesse Grund in court calling him a suspect, he also said "the same goes for Amy Huzienga" within that discussion when their attorneys cited statutes & reasons for their objections, Casey was markedly pissed that it was apparent that they were not getting these records to the extent that they wanted them, she was writing feverishly to Bozo & they discussed something, again IIRC with a chuckle at the end  -- I should have marked the time down, my apologies.

For the most part she exhibits signs of anxiety but yet with emotional detachment (always has), the anxiety is worrying about herself solely.  On occasion you can observe disapproval, disdain, anger along with inappropriate laughing and smiling...what we have never seen to date is upset regarding Caylee, not even a fake attempt.  While Caylee's remains are discussed she has displayed a lump in her throat or an eye bulge/startled stare but she doesnt cry, sigh, hyperventilate - nothing to indicate that she gives a dang other than when she has fleeting moments of fear that her guilt will be proven.  I must warn that at trial she may go for her acting debut & we are going to be appalled.   On the up side, I fully anticipate that Casey, along with her family are going to demonstrate quite a few outbursts towards others & within themselves...that courtroom at times is going to be like a fireworks display but with no pretties, just BOOMS!

She is still completely self-absorbed & at times downright cocky...she still thinks she is going to get away with murder & is portraying herself as a victim.   She will do or say anything, she has no remorse or concern for anyone but herself.  It is extremely interesting to observe because you can literally witness her struggling with her facade.  The problem for Casey is that despite legal counsel & hours upon hours of rehearsal, she is transparent & regardless of attempts to conceal her sociopathic behavior, the body never lies which even those not too familiar with body language observation will be able to pick these nuiances up during the course of her trial.

I believe you are right on target. I personally believe they have been told by Conway that the BUS WHEELS are rolling.............I believe Conway has talked to/or investigated Lyon's method of operation and and KNOWS they are going down and told them.

They have known all along that KC murdered Caylee, they just "thought" they could get her out of it, and I believe it has finally hit them, she will be in jail for her life regardless of how short that might be.

I am with you about the sympathy card.........when they KNEW that baby's pieces were being sifted out of dirt and played the BIG SHOTS at the Ritz, they finalized it for me.
They can ES&D as far as I am concerned, and I hope KC does them ALL in before it is over.

I can't get the WTF video links to play but found part 2(I think)on another site.In this one Baez is yapping at the podium and the camera pans to a close up of George,when George looks sideways to his right,the camera pans out.Right then a tall man in back gets up and walks over to Conway,pats his shoulder and walks out.The man kinda looked like Mitnik(Morgan&Morgan)but not as cute.He wore a dark suit,was balding with reddish/grey hair.
I'm wondering if he sat in court today to maybe be Conway's replacement?Maybe they all had a meeting the night before court to introduce Conway's replacement?That could be one reason Cindy and George looked so upset and tired.

I know they knew all along the KC murdered Caylee, but that didn't matter to them. Getting KC out of trouble and/or keeping themselves out of trouble was their main objective.

I had so much sympathy for George, but once I read he was eating crab puffs at the Ritz when that baby was lying in the muck. My sympathy all but vanished for him. JSM

I have friends there and really have planned to be in attendance at the trial. I don't know how they will handle the requests for seating, but you can be assured that I will be requesting a seat.  It does not matter when or where, I will be there if I can get in that courtroom.

I have NEVER had ANY sympathy for George. I believe him to be a BIG PART of this and I believe that will all come out before it is over.

I noticed the man walk out too. I don't know who he is, but if he was the replacement, why would he walk out in the middle of the court session. I would think he would stay there until the end.

When Marty White was making his oral argument (very well prepared I might add) Casey was visibly ticked off while writing yet again, both she & Bozo exchanged comments & again they were smiling (appeared sarcastically) & she chuckled.  I take it they were mocking Jesse being classified as a former law enforcement officer.  However, what I found incredibly humorous was just how blindsided Bozo & the entire defense team was by that argument...bahahaa!   Marty did not succeed on that point alone but it did enhance the judge's mindful consideration as to why if he allows Bozo to get Jesse's phone records just how much they will be A)  "tweaked" to tighten the time period B) redacted to only what is pertinent to the case.

IMHO, the attorneys representing Jesse, Kronk & Amy danced circles around Casey's defense - the county is not taking a hit without a fight either.   While I question Richardson & Uncer's testimony & I'm ticked that they handed the defense "some meat on the bone,"  I'm convinced that the defense may have attempted to be disingenuous in their presentation of the facts as a whole to what they said during the depositions, we'll have to see wha the entire transcripts show but what I observed is Judge Strickland did not take what was alleged in the motion as factual & was literally begging the media to intervene LOL...me thinks he wants a reason to deny the motion & let the tape be released  ::MonkeyWink::  A point of encouragement came when Todd "Mac the Knife" admitted in court that the tape does not necessarily harm the defendant nor could one glean something one way or the other...oopsies!   I'm now reassessing my thoughts on the odds of the video being released based on their allegations of cruelty & inhumane treatment - IMHO on the privacy & medial records issues they will fail.

Biggest hoot for me is watching Ashton's reactions & man does that man know how to cut a comment in like a knife!!  Most commendable performance & demeanor on a regular basis goes to none other than The Honorable "Stan the Man" Strickland.  He owns his courtroom, exhibits incredible patience, is more than fair, has a quick wit about him that doesn't miss a beat & doesn't stand for any over-the-top nonsense.

Maybe they were reminded that KC called herself a spiteful biotch AND there was that little ole second indictment by the grand jury for person or persons!  Take them all down, why not, she is, afterall, a spiteful biotch!

They are just making a big deal about it for show
They are going to start from the beginning and try and go step by step on how wrong casey was treated by LE. They will go with everything and anything something like casey asked for a tissue and was refused.
They started it when they walked out of the court house telling media to go across the street and start asking questions.

I'm glad you brought that up.  I've been wondering if Andrea Lyons even met with the Ants.  I'm wondering if she refused to meet with Geo. & Sin. & is encouraging Bozo to distance himself from them as much as possible, since she may be planning on throwing them under the bus.  That has been in the back of my mind after seeing how upset they were before they even entered the courtroom.  I don't know, it is just a thought running through my mind.  I'm still trying to figure out what was up with them.  Something that caused them to lose sleep & have those looks on their faces.

You are probably right Turbo, JSM is very naive sometimes and doesn't read people well. Cindy I knew from the start was a control freak, then I would read about George and turn against him, then see him showing emotion and feel sorry for him. The only reason I ever felt for George is because he showed emotion for Caylee, then Cindy would dig her fingers into his legs and he would shut up. I don't feel sorry for any of them anymore. We get so wrapped up in the details, in the injustice, in the antics. I log on to catch up on the latest, hear other opinions and to add a few of my own. Then I see a picture of Caylee and I just stare. I think to myself, Oh My Lord, this child is truly dead. Her own Mother killed her. Isn't it just hard to wrap your mind around this fact? Sometimes it just seems like a nightmare, something I'm going to wake up from. That poor sweet little girl, how could this have happened to such an innocent thing? How hard are the hearts of people becoming that they can't feel this pain? Even her own family just seems immune to this tragedy. It's all a game, but Caylee is never coming back. The world will never know what she could have been.  ::MonkeyWaa::

Ya know, I'm finishing up a rather substantial home redo & now counting the days with overwhelming enthusiam before my now senior in college daughter gets here at the end of the month with her long-term boyfriend (3 yrs and counting, love him!) for a 2 1/2 week break  WOOT WOOT!    ::MonkeyDance::  As I prepare for nothing but joy that she brings, I can't help but think how flipping tragic it is that Cindy & George failed so miserably as parents refusing to see the light of day over their own behavior & actions as well as enabling the pure evil they allowed their sociopath to cause them & everyone around them.   As an enormously proud parent of two, I just cannot relate to the ignorance & lackidazical effort some take in not improving the quality of life for their families...sigh.  Moreover, the saddest part is I wish Caylee had been blessed to be in mine or one of you monkey's home where I know she would have flourished with a life of love, happiness & many successes...dam, it breaks my heart & gets me too furious for words   ::MonkeyAngel::

Boo, I know how you feel about looking at Caylee's little face in the pic. After the first round of pic comparisons between Adji's grandmother and the so-called grandmother of Caylee, I had to go to the shower and have myself a big boo hoo myself. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I try not to cry in front of my family. This is so hard to understand where the heart is concerned......

I got out of the shower feeling ever-so-much better and looked outside and it started to rain...and then hail...big hail!!! My new planted garden!!! We went to the sliding glass door and I opened it and yelled, "God! Stop!! Please! At that moment a big piece of hail bonked me right in the eye. I think I am going to have a black eye!!   ::MonkeyWaa::

That'll teach me to yell at God. I guess I should take this as an omen to quit trying to question him as to why this is all happening to so many children. I just wish he would give us an answer for what we can do to help stop  all this mess before it goes any further....

I'm happy she is coming home! Just being a nosy JSM but is your son still deployed and if so when will he be home?

I too wished Caylee would have been given a chance at life, with a family that cared, nourished and truly loved her. I hope I don't sound cold hearted or offend any monkeys, but I believe that God in his infinite wisdom took that child away from them for a reason. For what reason, I don't know. Maybe George is a perv, maybe KC did leave her in the trunk. Maybe to give Cindy the break from Caylee she told someone she needed(I think those were her words).

I had a nice boo hoo myself. I'm crying and hugging Grissom and he's just laying there- taking it like a man. What he must think of me. I'm a bit on the sensitive side today and this whole trial struck me wrong. She's eating ding dongs and hostess cupcakes and listening to her radio and playing the diva. She took the life of another human and people are following her like a celebrity. How sick is that?? I have more love for my dog than that whole family had for Caylee. It makes me sick. Personally, just my opinion, I HOPE THEY ALL BURN IN HELL FOR ETERNITY.

My heart breaks for Adji's family. His grandmother looks just like a lady at the hospital where I work. She is from Haiti and is the most kind loving person I have ever met.

She worries over me, she worries over my dog, she is kind and beautiful and reminds me so much of Adji's Grandmother.

Too bad George, Cindy, KC and Lee didn't care enough to cry a REAL tear over Caylee. I swear I hate them more and more every day. JMO JSM

This case with all of it's ramifications, is very difficult to take;  Yes, George's reaction to the word "remains" was .... I don't know what to make of it actually.  Was it genuine or was it another play-acting ploy ?

AMEN Boo!  Adji's entire family is a complete 180 of what I have seen with the Anthony's and also with Haleigh's case, sadly enough.  Less drama, 100% heart.

Adji's entire family is amazing.  I wish that the Anthony's could have witness that which I did.  They were not out on their front lawn screaming at the media or passing around a collection plate.  They were out handing out food, their own food, to volunteers and those searching for their child...they were out pounding on doors and pleading for those that answered to take a second and third look at his photo.  This family did not look for a microphone or a reporter, in fact at one point Adji's Aunt asked the reporters to please respect their privacy and that the family would speak after they had talked with the authorities.  I was humbled by that entire experience, and I think that they are the reason that I have attached so much to him and his case.

I personally think after watching the video over and over again that it was Baez who put them in a tizzy.  I think that prior to the hearing, when Cindy was giving him the clothing for Casey to wear at the trial, that she must have said something like "Tell Casey we want to say hi since there are cameras" or something of that nature, and Baez probably told her no way that he had a new attorney joining the table and Casey needed to focus on her case and not give a hand to their dog and pony side show.

Thats my thoughts.......just thinking of who they would have come in contact with prior to the hearing.  I also wanted to note that I thought where Conway was placed was odd, he was on the Caylee side of the court room.

And if you compare a picture of Adji with his grandmother they are very much alike.

Very well said.  Reality smacks you when you see Caylee's picture, makes me wonder each and every time I see her smiling cherub face "WTH is wrong with these people?".  Casey is a monster, no matter how much make up she wears, poptarts she eats, clothes she puts on or takes off...the girl is a beast.  We comment at her smirks she gives in court, the smug looks on her face, but the truth is that is her mask, below is pure evil...not a joke at all, she is the definition, the poster girl, the whole caboodle of what evil inhabitting a person is.  Casey Anthony regardless of the amount of lawyers you have, it takes only a glance at that beautiful childs picture to turn a juror on you.

Fanny I would tell you to go ice your eye, but it seems that God might have taken care of that in one shot. 

He spent much of his time with her and around her.  His mother, Marie was working 2 jobs and after school he would stay with his grandmother, and many nights stay the entire night.  I am not sure if Marie is still working both jobs or if she has cut back to one....his step-father also was working 2 jobs long hours of 14 hour days 7 days a week.

And I hope it all comes out also, especially the huge part GA has played in all of this!! May that whole appalling family rot in hell after they do time in the slammer!!!!

Hi Monkeys...I'm checking in before I go to bed, but I was looking at part one of the court hearings from Thurs.  It's unfortuate that wftv cuts off the beginning where George and Cindy enter the courtroom.  Cindy actually went over to the prosecution side of the room and George pulled on her arm to direct her to the defendant's side.  However, I was looking to see if Brad Conway was in the courtroom because I found it odd that Brad was not sitting next to the A's like he always does.  Well, Brad is in the courtroom...George walk in front of him and Brad moves his wheelchair out of George's way and Brad and the A's hardly give each other the time of day.  I would definitely say there is discord because Brad and the A's and I wouldn't be surprised if next week we hear that Brad is not longer representing the A's.  Some else please look at the video and tell me what you think.http://www.wftv.com/video/19591538/index.html

theboyzmom- You hit the nail on the head!  Both Baez and LB are very patronizing to the judge.  My prayer is that the judge is wise enough to know it and totally unswayed by it.

It is unbelievable how awkward and inept Jose Baez is in the courtroom (IMO).  Between the Ah's and Um's, he's unable to quickly and logically rebut when challenged by the judge, opposing attorneys, or the Prosecuting attorneys.  You can literally watch him for minutes attempt to think through how to rephrase the same invalid argument, framed in the same objectionable language that already caused the issue.  We learned debate skills in AP English in High School.  I'm pretty sure they teach that in Law School.  ITA with so many posters here, it is very frustrating and somewhat irritating to watch his court performances..."excruciating" was someone's very appropriate description.  How could this man pass the requirements to be a lawyer when he seems unable to effectively and concisely debate and communicate.  I have to wonder if Mr. Baez has a learning disability.    **NOTE** I am neither stating he does, nor am I making fun of him.  Nor am I making fun of those who do have a learning disability.  A learning disability is no laughing matter and does does make the person any less of a wonderful and uniquely made creation.

Well, here is what I gather from the Brad Conway scenario with the A's...take it for what it is, a guess.
Brad is sitting on the side with the Prosecution, not because he is supporting Caylee, but rather because he is legally supporting his clients, the Anthonys.  This trial was mostly for those that wanted to appose Baez and his team from digging too much into other people who surround this cases lives and personal information.  (ie: the Grunds, Amy, Annie, Jesse, and Tony...the cell records)  I believe that Brad told the Anthony's "We have to appose your daughter and her attorneys on this, we can not have them digging into your personal lives just to throw you under the bus"  I think that could be the reason for the upset look on Cindy's face, getting hit with the reality that this could come back to bite her in the ass.  I believe that is the reason for Conway sitting on that side, to be there if he was called to the bench to try and appose anything or protest Baez and his team from probing his clients.  I believe that is why Cindy almost sat on that side, then George had a change of heart and still wanted to stand behind their daughter.

Just my take!

Wanted to note that I do not think they were at first going to sit on the prosecution side because they no longer wanted to stand behind her, but rather because that is what they thought they had to do, then they had a mind change, had to keep up appearances and switched at the last minute.
No way Cindy would sit on the prosecution side, she has been in the court room enough times now to know which side is which and where she should sit.

Someone mentioned in one of the post about a man with reddish hair black suit getting up and patting Brad Conway and leaving the court room.  That was Lee Anthony's attorney, Luca.  At the beginning of the proceedings, he was sitting in the chairs behind the defense table, but when Lyon and the rest of the attorney's came in Luca moved because there wasn't enough chairs for all of them.

Yes you are right, that was Luca.  Luca and Conway share a law firm if I am not mistaken. 
I just think that if Conway were out of the picture, he would not have been at that court hearing at all as he would have no need to be.  JMO

I have to wonder if this wasn't what Lee was doing with KC (his anguished sobbing moaning "KC! over and over again) during Caylee's "Memorial".  Wasn't it reported that Baez used an air card with his laptop (when he asserted the laptop was necessary to his client's defense to jail authorities)?  The Anthonys have all but bent over backwards and thrown Caylee out themselves to defend KC.  Why???  I believe the answer to that lies in Kc's jail visit recording regarding the psychologist's interview.  The one where KC assures Cindy, "Don't worry, Mom. I didn't tell them anything."  Why would she be assuring her mother of that, if there was nothing to tell.  Something is up with that.  I think the Anthonys' very public, take-no-prisoners, defend-KC-or-die behavior is a quid pro quo.  They mount a massive defense assault and KC keeps the family secrets.  That's why failure is not an option for Cindy, IMO.  It will be interesting to see just how far the Anthonys will go.  IMO, Lee wins Most Likely To Bail.  He's already been credited with questioning KC's truthfulness (statements to LE, taped recordings with Tony Lazarrio, etc.) and advising KC's friends to protect themselves.  I would not be surprised if Cindy/George didn't guilt him into compliance at times and KC didn't threaten to expose a few things to dear old Mom & Dad...just MO.  Lee's very careful when he talks to never directly rat out KC, but you can tell the drama's getting a little old.

It should be interesting (I did not say entertaining) to see if the House of Anthonys implodes.  If KC throws them under the bus, all things being what they are, I believe the gloves will be off and Cindy will come out swinging.  If, in fact, KC's goal in life is to destroy Cindy (IMO, her nemesis), then I believe KC may have seriously underestimated her opponent.  I think Cindy, George, and Lee probably have a few stories of their own they could tell saved up as insurance (if you will).  It reminds me of that old saying. "There is no honor among thieves."-or liars either. 

Hi guys!  Haven't posted in awhile, but just had to get a couple of things off my chest.

I think that maybe Cindy received a letter from Casey, via Baez before they all came into the courtroom.  I think Casey is being very mean and withholding affection and attention from her mother, and it is killing Cindy.  Casey has replaced Cindy with Baez, so she has in effect withdrawn from the dance so to speak.  Cindy is left with no one to replace Casey, and  no Caylee to hold over Casey's head or keep her company and/or distracted from her life.  George definately is no replacement for either, he was a distant fourth before all this happened.

I wonder about Lee.  I would be so mad if my parents took up for my sibling that did the unthinkable, killed their own child, grandchild, niece.  To top it off, she also accused HIM of sexually abusing her.  Where is his parents support of that slander of him as a brother/son?

I have also wondered why none of the media during the Anthony media tour asked them about how Casey came out and denounced their decision to have Caylee cremated, when that is not what Casey wanted.  Would love to hear their answer about why they did this against her wishes.  I am sure they have assured themselves that they knew better than Casey what the correct thing to do was.  I am sure by the end of this, Cindy will be mentally destroyed thanks to her daughter.

Manaculosa (sp)( sorry, I respectfully don't remember how to spell/say his name)  wonders why the DP is back on the table after it was originally nixed.   Hmmmmm... wasn't there a body found subsequent to that?  His outrage seems a bit out of place if you ask me. Truth be told, you're more correct than many realize.  KC, by virtue of what she's been feeding herself (spiritually) has opened herself up to a whole lot of evil, I'm sorry to say.  I hate to see any human being choose that route.

Sirensong- Excellent points!  I think your first paragraph very accurately captures the dynamics between Cindy & KC.  Cindy is very Co-dependent, to the point she enables Casey to manipulate and wreak havoc on the whole family.  Kind of like that story in the Bible where the dad fails to teach his two sons to respect God, is warned repeatedly, and yet, he keeps making excuses for their behavior and refuses to hold them accountable.  The sons grow up and one day basically spit in God's face and they die because of it.  God holds the dad accountable and he dies too.   *note- that is not to say parents are always accountable for their grown children's choices
It's sad that the whole family may end up being destroyed by their own choices.  Most sad of all, of course is Caylee because she never had a choice or a chance.  I will never understand as long as I live how any one can kill another human being...much less a defenseless, innocent, trusting little one. Sheer, utter, total depravity.

Well, time to turn in.  Feel free to throw whatever. I'm not pro-Anthony by any stretch.  I don't expect my posts to be popular but the truth is I hate to see anyone squander the precious life God gave them.

The really sad part...I personally know sooo many people who have gone to great lengths (emotionally, physically, and financially) to have a child and every one of them would have loved to have Caylee (my own parents included).  I am sure many of you feel the same and know scores of people too.  When did children become disposable?

“60 Minutes” Segment on the Local Case of Alton Log

“        This past Sunday, the  television news program, “60 Minutes”, featured a story about a Chicago resident , Alton Logan, who has been in jail for 26 years for a killing, that lawyers, Dale Coventry and Jamie Kunz, have known he did not commit. One of  the clients of the two attorneys, was Andrew Wilson, who confessed to them that he was the one who had killed the person that Logan had been convicted of murdering. When questioned why they had not disclosed this information to possibly exonerate Mr. Logan, the attorneys said that they were bound by the requirements of legal ethics provisions and their duty to their own client,not to subject him to trial for a capital offense. Fortunately for Mr. Logan, Mr. Wilson recently died in prison after having given the attorneys permission to disclose his confession after his death.

The case raises the question whether the attorneys were upholding the integrity of the legal system by safeguarding client-lawyer confidentiality or whether they chose priorities that could have cost an innocent person a life sentence in prison. The attorneys stated that it was a tough decision for them but that they would have to stand by it, unless Mr. Logan had been threatened with execution.

Professor Andrea Lyon, the director of the DePaul Center for Justice in Capital Cases, worked with the two attorneys in defending Mr. Wilson, their client. As a practical matter she considered Mr. Wilson to be her client as well. So she also was among the attorneys who decided not disclose the confession.

Back on January 31st , a Chicago Reader article had explored this case in depth. It presents considerably more information than the television interview and also takes an editorial position re. the choices made by the attorneys involved. It’s worth a look especially since the case has now received such national exposure

As to GA and CA standing behind KC - I must say that they are going to regret that for more than on reason. I don't think that they have any idea what kind of monster they have created. I am reminded of the guy that raised the grizzly bear that then went on to eat them. GA and CA have, if not created, at least nurtured and fed the evil in KC. Soon it will come back to bite them. I believe that the look on their faces at court was a reflection of the knowledge that the evil is out of control. When KC lived with them and they had Caylee to hold over her, the evil was kept from hurting them too much. Now there is no way to keep it contained - it will begin to terrorize at will. Sad that these people used Caylee as a shield and tool to keep evil at bay .. .

As I sit and think about Cindy - and how controlling she is - and how it is only a matter of time before she causes a big stink with anyone who is working with her (Tim Miller, Garrison, Nejame), I can't help but think that maybe the time has come for Conway to say "to hell with it" or "go f yourself".   A rift between Conway and the A's will be par for the course.
I'm surprised it hasn't happened already.   JMO.

Concur on all counts, except I know for a fact that Conway told them he suspected this might happen when I broke the news about Mac "Big Bang" Hubolt. They still gutter-spoke to Zenaida Gonzalez, still spewed their drivel, and the reason Cindy was weeping at her uninvited appearance "vigil" is because they will lose everything they so deftly conned everyone out of and their demon spawn is going to rot in jail.

Reality has sunk in and now I hope the two of them stand behind Caylee. Their daughter could care less about them, an it would not surprise me that Cindy did get a letter from Casey. Whatever happened, to have George and Cindy's demeanor change so drastically, was huge. I'm going to have to go back and look, I didn't notice that Conway and the Anthonys weren't all chummy, I believe Conway better get out of Dodge quickly.

Casey Anthony

Many of you may know that I have joined the team representing Casey Anthony as “death -qualified” counsel.  The prosecution changed their position and after waiving the death penalty, are now asking for it. I can’t discuss her case for obvious reasons.  I hope that those of you have been posting on my blog your negative opinions of Miss Anthony can agree with me that in this country we presume innocence, and that while there has been a lot of press about this case, no evidence has been heard or tested in court and perceptions about the evidence will likely change when exposed to adversarial challenge.

I totally agree. And I'm sure if George and Cindy could go back in time and change many, many things, but sadly as we all know, you can't. I believe they knew their daughter was very troubled, evil, if you want, but didn't think she would do what she did. Many, lives are destroyed and crippled when someone commits murder........

This beast will fight to the death, so to speak to save every monster in society from the death penalty & yet she contributes to allowing an innocent man to rot in jail for 26 years for a crime he didnt commit, outrageous!  Ethical obligations, my sweet @$$!!   No, the reason is that bleeding heart stance against the death penalty.   You mean to tell me that these lawyers, including Lyons, walked around for 26 years with the knowledge that there was an innocent man in prison & yet they want to discuss ethics?!   How many times has Lyons compromised society due to her obsession & making a name for herself?  They argue against the DP every koolaid drinking day that they breathe but they think its justified to take away the quality of life of an innocent man?    My God, when does fighting a cause cross the line?  Wait, they justified this by stating that they kept mum to save a killer from death row because an innocent man was not facing the death penalty so it was okay to let him go to prison for life?   As a professor of law & claiming to be the "angel of death row" expert attorney this haggard beeotch once removed chose to ignore the confession of a killer to further her agenda against the death penalty,  no I argue in most states that this can indeed be challenged.  This needs more than 60 minutes, we must spread the word.   Ya know, we've exhibited disgust that attorneys may know their clients are guilty of heinous murders yet defend them putting society at risk that they may get aqquitted much less saved from the death penalty BUT is having direct knowledge that someone else murdered someone but letting someone else take the fall any less unconscionable?   They singlehandledy ripped the quality & freedom of this man's life from him - snit it could have been his entire life had the real killer not died.

Hmm, how is it relevant to this case?   Because this exhibits that Lyons took this case knowing a mother killed her child disingenuously for self-motivated reasons & that is purely to sell her book & push her agenda further.    It is all about arguing against the death penalty, self-promotion & yes legislation to abolish the death penalty on a national high-profile scale.  In another case, she admitted she couldn't stand a defendant but she still pushed forward, why? because her agenda against the death penalty takes priority over anything & Mr. Logan's case proves that.  She wants to talk about prosecution strategy pretrial, you have got to be kidding me!   She is going to delay this murder trial for months to write a piece of crap why the death penalty was "unjustifiably sought" by the prosecution (it should take her a week to do at best technically) & also tell this court that she cannot appear for a hearing every time she tries to go out nationally to sell her book?  I'm gonna look to see if this 60 minutes episode is in an archive for video, you can rest assure a writing campaign is short to follow, feel free to join me in taking down the beast!

Good morning all. I'm trying to catch up from all of yesterdays comments. Everybody in here is so compassionate and smart! After going on the most excruciating hike/search for Amber D. yesterday, I'm feeling old and stiff, make that decrepid and broken  ::MonkeyWaa::. There seems to be nothing to go on, like looking for a needle in a haystack, it makes me so glad that kc was such a fool and created such an elaborate and ridiculous tale about Caylee's abduction that it immediately put her in the LE's scope.
I went to Andrea L's web site and thought it was so funny how she describes herself as "the first woman atty", blah, blah, she and bozo, the minority status users who want to dazzle us with their claim s of being the barrior smashers. Give me a break, I could respect that if the reason they acheived the title was for a noble cause. Bozo's claim is just a brag with no substance anyway and hers is based on representing the dregs of our society and helping them continue the victimization of the victims by excusing their crimes and arguing that murderers  and rapists shouldn't be held responsible and never pay the price that they charged their victims. Capp, great post, exactly how I feel. I have a list of lawyers that irritate the crap out of me  ::MonkeyRoll:: she is on my list. So sick of self-righteous bs. And Lyon's sister is also on my other list of Liberal crackpots, because of her stance on sex offenders. No offense to Liberals, I'm talking about the ones that are so far out of reality that they wouldn't know reality if it jumped up and bit them on their azzes.

KC is what her family made her. She is a product of a generational evil. This did not just happen with KC. The cover ups, the lies, the deceptions have been growing in that  family for many years. Caylee was the "light" in the family so she HAD to be destroyed.

Evil destroys, EVIL KILLS and what you see is the end result of the evil in that family.

People are just amazed at the lies Cindy and George put out, but it should come as no surprise when you watch the family dynamics. Their entire existence is built on LIES.

The reason most people don't understand all their lies and cover ups is because the normal human mind does not comprehend such evil. Capp I sent the links to Lyons stories to Kathi and Nancy Grace. That woman is lower than a snake. I hope that poor man sues them for everything they have. I think the laws of att/client priveleges should be revisited and also clergy/client . When it involves the life of innocent people there should be laws to make them tell.

  NRCG  thanks for the nice words. Again the comparisons to the A's, Amber's family work tirelessly to find her and don't see it as a money making opportunity, just the opposite. Once LE has done the first initial investigation, even though of course the case is still open and they're still looking, the volunteers are all the family has and then after that if the can afford it, private investigators and all.
Blows my mind to think about the ppl. the A's have had on their payroll, and they're not rich, Blows my mind that the PI was told not to call police if Caylee's body was found. Well, we all know all the devious, self serving things they've done and we look at the others, Adji's family, Amber's family and so many others and know that thankfully not everybody is willing to trade the death of a loved one for the almighty buck.

They will get what's coming to them, only a matter of time.

I am largely questioning Lyons obligation to keep this secret as she claimed she considered Wilson her client...hmmm, I find that extremely questionable!    Did she have a Notice of Appearance representing Wilson?   Was she under the direct employ of Coventry or Kunz?  She notarized & wrote the affidavit while she was part of the Public Defenders homicide Task Force not the law firm of Coventry or Kunz.   Did she ever represent Wilson in a court of law in any capacity?

Andrea Lyon, today the director of the DePaul Center for Justice in Capital Cases and in 1982 a member of the public defender’s homicide task force, notarized the affidavit.   A notary doesn’t have to read the document she’s notarizing, but Lyon not only read and understood the affidavit, to the best of her recollection she wrote it. She says she’d written motions for Coventry and Kunz on Wilson’s behalf and considered him to be, as a practical matter, her client too. She felt just as bound to silence as her colleagues. . . .

What everyone can do is write to ALL broadcasts so that they are aware of the facts surrounding Mr. Logan's case & exposing Andrea Lyons' participation in this secret, even those that have supported the defense team/Anthonys in any way.   Include the below links for background information & we need to grab the article where Lyons admits she hated a client but still represented him due to her agenda to argue against the death penalty (i didnt go search for it on this thread yet).   Post on blogs & forums including local & national news outlets.   BLINK, I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider doing an article exposing this.

Question the merit of their claimed ethics keeping this secret.  Specifically question Andrea Lyons' ethically obligation in Logan's case.  Question her self-proclaimed  "angel of death row" about to launch a national campaign to sell her book while inserting herself into the Casey Anthony trial & how she can justify letting an innocent man be striped of his quality of life & freedom because another man she didnt represent in court would have faced a death penalty trial.  Question why she puts the public at risk by monsters possibly going free yet has no problem sending an innocent man to life in prison.    I'm pretty sure the prosecutors are aware of it, but Im sending off the info to them just to make sure.

      While you are at it you might want to address the timing of you inserting yourself into Casey Anthony’s case. How convenient you are selling your book & using this trial to further your agenda. You stated that you plan on delaying this trial by months just to write a paper on why YOU feel it is not a death penalty case, well the public is not naive the criteria is met, we read the Florida statutes - for such a scholar would you like to explain why it would take you months to write a bunch of bunk & bull? It is laughable that you want to point fingers at prosecutors yet YOU contributed to sending an innocent man to prison with direct knowledge of the real killer! "He was a hillbilly, and he had no idea why he was in jail," recalls Lyon's father. "He said to Andrea: 'She's my property, isn't she? If she's big enough, she's old enough.' This to my daughter, a committed feminist. There was steam coming out of her ears. She had to decide right then whether her job was to judge or defend. It was a key event for her. She decided he was her client, and she got him off. There was a technical error in the arrest. But she hated him. She couldn't look at him. In court, Lyon, who is 6 feet tall, would put on quite a show. "Juries would weep, people would faint," she says, not altogether kidding. To make her point, she was prepared to cry, get angry, bully.

She says she once cross-examined a police officer so ferociously that he came off the witness stand and tried to choke her.

"That," she says, "was a good moment."

Another was when she delivered her closing argument handcuffed to the witness box so jurors would appreciate the conditions under which her client made his confession.

"I do a lot of acting," says Lyon. "I once acted out a whole crime in front of the Illinois Supreme Court: shots ringing out, everyone running, falling to the floor. The justices looked bored; I figured I had to wake them up. I won seven-zip."

Prosecutors use words like "dangerous" to describe her. "No question, when you went to try a case against her, you went to war," says Anthony Calabrese, who was in the Cook County state's attorney's office for 13 years. "She can bully a judge as easily as a prosecutor, and if she senses any weakness, she'll exploit it in a minute. It was clear she was protecting, not just her particular client, but all the potential clients in society and the Constitution."   

"Some lawyers are laid back," says Cook County Circuit Judge Stephen Schiller. "Not Andrea. She lets very little happen without a challenge."

I know just how you feel. I had to take a good long break from posting and getting too involved in this case. It is so frustrating to watch all the twists, turns, new attys, LE mistakes, blood money profiting and all the rest. I'm back, but don't know how long I can hang in before I have to lay low again. I just can't stand how our system of justice is being twisted and used against the innocent rather than bringing the guilty to conviction.

I can't remember for sure, but way back when didn't the State want some type of gag order or media blackout and the defense said no and didn't let it happen? I know we wouldn't be able to see as much as has been released but maybe it would have prevented this case from becoming so high profile and all these soulless defense experts could have stayed home.

Tks for reminding me of that because that should be made part of the argument every time the defense tries to seal/suppress.

I thought an attorney's job was to make sure their client's rights were not violated, exculpatory evidence not withheld, make sure they understand proceedings, laws followed, rights read to them, etc. I did not think an attorney's job was to get dangerous criminals off scott free at all costs to society.

I think LKB and this Death Row Angel (WTH?) are in this for the money, just like Baez and all the rest. Has the SA ever held a press conference? They will make money whether KC wins or loses.

But, I think the state would not have brought forth the death penalty if they did not think they had a case. They have a case, they have evidence. Any jurist in their right mind is going to see, as we all do with our limited access to evidence, that KC is the killer and there could be no other killer. She did not report her own baby missing for 31 days. She lied about where Caylee was last seen. End of story. She is not that smart and I'm sure she made mistakes. There is more evidence.

After all the huffing and puffing I think she will go down quick. Open and shut. Long drawn out trial but I'll bet deliberations don't last more that a few hours. Everyone collects their money and KC goes to hell.

  Good points SDB.   This was all very nice timing for AL and her book, there's even time for her to include a chapter on this case. I'll never understand how there can be so many of us that detest the way our system has morphed into protecting the civil rights of subhumans at the clear detriment of many others, and yet it continues. 

I think that you are right that once the lalapalooza that AL concocts about kc's road to a flawed state of mind due to her family, I still think jurors will convict her. Maybe not DP, but LWOP. And also, how did it get to the point that the defense team can be led by a bungling idiot, delay after delay, and now these two lady wildebeasts running the court with their appt. books. Seems to me if they sign on for the defense, it's on them to adjust their schedules, not the other way around.

So the new attorney also says we dont know everything.  Hmmm, what is there to know.  A child is dead.  Children are a gift from God, we do not own them, they are given to us for a short time to show direction and teach guidence and then released to be on their own.  Caylee's life was not Caseys to destroy.  Casey most of the monkeys hate you, they would love to be there when the judge reads:  The Jury finds you guilty and I sentance you to life or death, may God have mercy on your soul.  They would love to be there when you take your final breath.  Some of them probably wish we still had a hanging judge, or at least the electric chair.  I still hope you live for a very long time in prison, I hope you never get used to it, and I hope you suffer greatly.  That is a lot for me,  a whole lot.  No regret, no remorse, no mercy.

You are right, the system is so awful for victims, yet we seem powerless to stop it. And yes, Calendar Boy is such a waste. Wasn't this last hearing supposed to be about the jail video, yet he didn't present papers to the county until 6pm the night before? WTH? And he's arguing the wrong point for this case. If they want to sue the county they should sue the county. But the tape is not private. There is no privacy in jail. The prosecution isn't asking for it's release and neither (apparently) is the media. Geesh. The officers had to testify, period. They were being deposed.

And what difference does it make? The story broke, but it was days before Caylee was identified.
