It is not surprising that the public is shocked and confused by recent high-profile charges leveled against Melissa Huckaby, accused of the rape and murder of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu, and in our own community by sexual assault charges against the Rev. Antonio Cortes and Dr. Carl Bergstrom.

We like to think that young mothers, priests and doctors are some of the most trustworthy people in society when it comes to our personal safety. Some, like the parishioners of St. Mary's, where Cortes has been their priest, find it not just unthinkable, but unbelievable that a man who has been so helpful to so many could ever sexually violate a young boy. And there is comfort in that belief. To believe differently makes us afraid to trust anyone and makes us all vulnerable.

Although these cases have yet to be adjudicated, they do illustrate the unfortunate truth that anyone can be accused of being a perpetrator of sexual violence, and that anyone can be a victim. In these cases, two of the alleged victims are children, and one is a male. In all three cases, the victims and alleged perpetrators were known to each other.

snipped:

Four hours after the court hearing, parishioners gathered at the east Salinas church to pray. About 60 people recited a rosary for Cortes. Some parishioners said they plan to hold prayer sessions every day at 5:30 p.m. until Cortes' legal troubles are over.

"We are willing to do anything to get him out of [jail]," Bravo said.

Bail for Cortes is $750,000, but Hernandez said he plans to ask the judge to reduce it to $50,000. It is unclear who will pay for Cortes' legal defense or bail. The Diocese of Monterey County will not pay for a defense attorney or bail, said Warren Hoy, spokesman for the diocese.Hoy said Cortes received a small stipend while he worked for two years at St. Mary's, a church of roughly 5,000 parishioners.
Cortes has been the head priest at St. Mary's since June 2007 and has been with the diocese for about 12 years, including churches in Gonzales, Greenfield and Soledad, Hoy said. Cortes, 41, originally met the victim, a church member, when the boy was 14. Then, in February, Cortes gave him alcohol and began molesting him, prosecutors said. On April 14, the priest allegedly sodomized the boy, now 16.
The Salinas Police Department is investigating the case and trying to determine if there are any other victims.

Connie Lawless's brother:

Our Pastor

Elder Arthur DeWayne Harris was saved and baptized at the age of nine, and entered the ministry when he was 18 years of age. Ordained by the Douglas Street Missionary Baptist Church of Omak, Washington, he began his pastorate work in May, 1963.

He attended three years at Landmark Baptist College in San Jose, California; doing course studies in Theology, Church History, New Testament Greek, and Homiletics. Upon completion of all required courses, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Sacramento Baptist College and Seminary. Although he found classroom studies to be very helpful as well as rigorous, he accredits most of his Bible education and indoctrination to his father, Elder A.A. Harris, who went to be with the Lord in November, 1989.

Elder Harris has been pastoring the Alisal Baptist Church for over 31 years and is the Dean of the Alisal Baptist Institute Theological Seminary. He also distributes monthly Sunday School Literature to various churches of like faith.

This taken from bios and church history etc.  Info in parenthesis added by me for clarification.

The Victory Missionary Baptist Church of Tracy was looking for assistance because of the failing health of Pastor Scott. Victory then approached Eld. (Lane) Lawless and Sovereign Grace (Missionary Baptist Church of Mountain View CA) to request he consider a pastorate in Tracy.

The churches voted to merge. In 1981, the members of Victory joined Sovereign Grace, donating their property and assets to the Sovereign Grace Church. The name of the church was changed to Clover Road Baptist Church. Lane has pastored Clover Road Baptist Church of Tracy CA - since 1981.

Bittleston said he has not been contacted by the authorities and has “no recollection” of Lane Lawless or of “any connection” to the Cantu case. Asked if there’d ever been allegations of child abuse and/or molestation at the church, he replied, “At one time, there was some… but it was an adult not involved with any of that name (Lawless) that I’m aware of.”

“We at the church found an elderly person who was doing some not-good things, so it went to court and he was sent into state jurisdiction” – meaning state prison, Bittleston said. “I was called in on that but I can’t see where there was any connection there… Any time that a church is working with children you’re going to have a certain amount of that … but we took it right to the authorities and it was taken care of.”

                     Harris, Arthur Alonso (Old State)
Art was saved May 10, 1938 in a bean field out side Salinas. He was baptized by the Hebbron Heights MBC shortly after. He surrendered to the ministry November 22, 1943 in the Northern Association meeting in Riverbank. He was ordained April 16, 1944 by the FMBC in Antioch.

He has served the following pastorates: Concord MBC April 1944 to August 1944; Brentwood FMBC September 1944 to February 1945; San Jose MBC August 1946 to May 1948; Stockton, Eastside MBC June 1948 to December 1949; Sacramento, Friendship MBC December 1949 to November 1950; La Habra MBC November 1950 to March 1954; Eastside second time March 1954 to October 1956; Washington churches October 1956 to June 1968; Winton MBC June 1968 to November 1969; Salinas Landmark MBC November 1969 to July 1978; Pedley MBC August 1980 to August 1981; From there he moved to Salinas and became assistant to his son DeWayne in the Alisal MBC. He died November 16, 1989.

Art was a driving force for most of his life in the Old State work holding many positions and taking a strong stand for “Direct Only” mission work.

                           Harris Arthur DeWayne
DeWayne was saved in 1952 and was baptized the same year by the La Habra FMBC. He answered the call to preach August 16,1961 and was ordained by the Douglas Street MBC in Omak, Washington.

He has pastored the following churches: Omak, Washington 1963 - 65; Visalia MBC (Old State) 1968 - 69; Winton MBC 1969 - 73; Sovereign Grace MBC Mt. View; Alisal BC 1975 till present. (2006)

The church no longer represents in the Old State Work but does represent with a group of strong Calvinist churches in an unorganized fellowship. DeWayne has published a history book entitled, "Landmark of the West’.

Harris, Henry (Left Landmark Work)

Harris, Henry Henry Harris attended Fresno Missionary Baptist Institute in the early 1980’s and received his Bachelor of Theology degree in May of 1985. He was a missionary of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in San Jose, California. He started a mission in Morgan Hill, California, with a weekly Bible Study in October of 1984. Their first Sunday service was in January, 1985. By February of 1986, the New Hope Church withdrew their endorsement of Brother Harris due to a drain on their funds.

Brother Harris and the mission in Morgan Hill were taken over by the First Missionary Baptist Church in Oakley, California. In September, 1987, Brother Harris led the mission members to join the First Missionary Baptist Church of Gilroy, California. He became the pastor of that church.

Brother Harris was a State Missionary on designated funds for the 1989 - 90 association year. In 1990 at the Messenger Body Meeting, Brother Harris gave a report that indicated he did not believe in Church Perpetuity and had led the church to receive alien immersion.

The Messenger Body asked Brother Harris to meet with a council of brethren in the Salinas church. The counsel did not convene, and Brother Harris led the Gilroy church out of Landmark work. Missionary Baptist Churches supporting the Mission had given many thousands of dollars to build the Gilroy church. Later, the church disbanded. No accounting as to the sale of the property was ever made public.

                             Lawless, Clifford Lane

Lane was saved May 1960 and was baptized July 9, 1960 by the Eastside MBC in Stockton. He was called to preach April 6, 1971 and ordained August 20, 1971 by the Winton MBC.

He has pastored the following churches: Beacon MBC in Redding August 1971 to May 1973; Grace MBC of Gardena May 1973 to May 1974; Mission work in Eureka; the Mountain View, California, First Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church in 1980. In 1981 the church in Tracy California merged with the Mountain View church and Brother Lawless continued as pastor with the church being called, Clover Road Missionary Baptist Church of Tracy, California. He is pastor to this day (2009).

This is more info I got from the church's history or the bio:
"In 1974, the Landmark MBC of Salinas authorized mission work in Mountain View which resulted in the formation of the Sovereign Grace MBC. Eld. A.D. harris was their first pastor. "

AD Harris is Connie's uncle, AA Harris is her father.  Am betting that Lane was their 2nd pastor, then that church "merged" with Victory and became Clover Baptist.

1956 TWENTY-FIFTH SESSION When the messenger met for the 1956 session in La Habra, A. A. Harris was in the Moderator's chair. A motion was made by Arden Johnson and seconded by R. J. Rudd to unseat the Brentwood Church on the grounds that the Brentwood Church was practicing pulpit affiliation by allowing Red Harper, a well-known singer to sing in the services. The Moderator called the messengers' attention to Statement Thirteen of the Constitution that states, "No church shall be withdrawn from the Association without a fair hearing and the Statement of Faith showing they are not in fellowship with us." The Moderator therefore ruled the motion out of order on the grounds that the Brentwood Church had not been given a fair hearing. Pandemonium broke out. After much confusion, the Moderator ruled the churches, which had not yet withdrawn fellowship from Brentwood, should sit in council with her and determine if Brentwood Church was worthy to be seated. Johnny Johnson made a motion to declare the Moderator's chair vacant, ruled out of order on the grounds of Statement Six, "The Moderator shall serve until he is replaced by his elected successor." L. E. McCalister appealed to the body and was ruled out of order on the grounds that the messengers had not been seated, and there was no body to appeal to. A. D. Compton threatened to take over the Moderator's chair, but the Moderator warned he would have the sheriff called to restore order. While the Clerk was listening, the messengers from churches who had not yet withdrawn from Brentwood, the Pastor of the Brentwood Church (Ted. R. Cooper), addressed the Moderator and made the following statement, "Let the messengers go ahead and vote because the Brentwood Church doesn't care whether she is seated or not." On the basis of this statement, the Moderator withdrew his ruling and apologized to the messengers for taking up their time. The Brentwood Church was promptly unseated by a vote of fifty-nine (59) to six (6). Those who voted to unseat the church were Herbert Schuh, Lorene Sevege, Mary Schuh, Clyde Plummer, Gentry Isaac, Randy Rudd, A. A. Moore, Florence Batten, Carol Moore, Dewey Caves, John Girton, Roy Westmoreland, Cassie B. Rogers, Gertrude Qualls, M. B. Hubbard, Raymond Mouser, Myrtle O'Neal, Verda Beatty, Chester Hunt, Walter Smith, Clint Wilkins, Wanda Wilkins, Ray Whitley, E.G. Ward, Johnny Farmer, Norval Ketchum, Victor Carter, Sylvia Carter, Bill Anglin, Arden Johnson, Mary Ridenhour, Mary Renfro, S.F. Carlton, Dee Sanders, Helen Sanders, L.E. McCalister, W.E. Dickerson, M.R. Canfield, Gertrude Canfield, Bob Watson, G.W. Harris, Leonard Hargrove, Mary Kopphan, J.W. Scott, Marvin Johnson, Leonard Logue, Homer Tidwell, Bill Christian, Leroy Gable, Beryl Dalton, Neva Atwood, A. D. Compton, Pat Hart, Doris Hart, Bob Woodfill, Jewell Woodfill, V. L. Casey, and Lloyd Dickerson. A. A. Moore moved that the messengers who voted in opposition to unseating of the Brentwood Church be unseated. They were R. A. Harless, A. A. Harris, Irene Harris, Connie Harris, Bill Whala, and Betty Whala. This motion became bogged down with substitutions and amendments until finally a substitute motion carried to unseat all messengers in complete harmony with the practices of the Brentwood church messengers. R. A. Harless brought charges against the Hughson Church for practicing pulpit affiliation. There was a motion and second to unseat the messengers. Hughson's Pastor, Ray Whitley, denied the charges. A substitute motion carried to recommend that Airport and Hughson Churches call a council to settle their dispute. So ended the stormiest session in the history of this Association. Money given was reported in the 1956 minutes: home missions, $9,888.49; foreign missions, $3,539.90; total given for all purposes, $336,028.82. The total membership was 2,442.

above post, it is all the famliy who is in this commotion and against everyone else

AA harris, father of connie harris,
Cooper is her mother's maiden name
seems their family members were the only ones not wanting to unseat the church, so then everyone wanted to unseat THEM.  so perhaps this famliy has a habit of going against the rest of the church organization?  if so, maybe that is why the tracy church is so small?

so CLL was sent around to all these different churches all over the place, it seems his AA Harris had a LOT of "clout" in this whole church organization, as did the coopers, and then they were married to one another.  so it became a "family affair".  The california part of the org all began in salinas.  then it just spread out all over, with CLL going to many of these churches.  He finally ends up in tracy and stays.  before this though, he was sent all over to churches everywhere.  I would like to know the dates he was at which churches.  maybe we can find out.

1961

The following Resolution was passed:

“BE IT RESOLVED THAT we as Missionary Baptist preachers and church members do all that we can to keep what religious liberty that we have. Furthermore that we be careful to work hard to keep the principle of the separation of the church and the state before the people.

1. We recommend to the churches composing this Association that they exercise care in selecting pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and special speakers; and see that no man be permitted to speak in our churches who does not stand for Bible principles. Paul admonished the church at Thessalonica, to know them that labor among us. I Thess. 5:12.

2. Mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrines which ye have learned, and avoid them. Rom. 16:17. They serve not the Lord, but their own belly; by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
( My Note:  This might be why the people at the tracy church do not talk to any of the other church pastors there, etc.)

3. We recommend further that churches seek out and send out more missionaries in this vicinity; California and Oregon; and to the uttermost parts of the earth.

4. We recommend that our churches sponsor a Baptist educational program of direct missions and preparation for God's ministers and teachers. If we educate our own preachers, they will teach scriptural missions.

5. We further recommend that a preacher fellowship meeting be organized among the Churches of this Association to bring closer fellowship and understanding among our preacher.”

It is the primary aim of this institute to communicate to worthy students the inexhaustible riches of God's Word, to glorify our Father in heaven, and equip the saints for the work of the ministry.

Done by order of the church,
A. D. Harris, Pastor, President
A. Harris, Dean
In regards to the history of the Alisal Baptist Institute: In 1980/81 there was a great interest in this area for a school to be started for the purpose of preparing men for the teaching and preaching ministry. There were also ladies who desired to be equipped for teaching other women, etc. Although I had been to school, I personally knew nothing about starting and operating a school. Being a graduate of Sacramento Baptist College, I contacted Bro. O.C. Harris (no relation) who worked in concert with the California Board of Education. Bro. Harris did the necessary paperwork and took care of the logistics in getting our school approved. On August 13, 1982 Secretary of State, March Fong Eu, gave certification and the school became registered with the office of Private Post-secondary Education of California. The school opened that fall with 30 plus students.

We also had a small teaching staff of three. My father taught Hebrew History and Church History. Bro. Lane Lawless taught English Grammar and I taught Homiletics and New Testament Survey. The school was open for five straight years with most of the students graduating. Over the past 24 years the school has only opened as needed. This spring when we closed for summer break we had 26 registered students.
Arthur DeWayne Harris

Well now, if this school did not open until 1982 how was Lawless a graduate of it for his "pastoral" credentials in 1971?

Are you talking about this guy, Sister?
Holy Smokes! ::MonkeyEek::

Robert Alton Harris (January 15, 1953 – April 21, 1992) was an American career criminal and murderer who was executed in San Quentin's gas chamber in 1992. This marked the first execution in the state of California since 1967. Harris had killed two teenage boys in 1978. Harris' execution is specifically remembered for his peculiar choice of final words (recorded by Warden Daniel Vasquez): "You can be a king or a street sweeper, but everyone dances with the grim reaper."

By coincidence, one of the San Diego police officers to arrest the Harrises a few hours later was undercover officer Steven Baker, father of the boy who was shot point blank.

Later, after he was arrested, Robert Harris boasted to a cellmate that he told the terrified Baker boy to "quit crying and die like a man." When the boy started to pray, Harris said, "God can't help you now, boy; you're going to die."

Thanks for trying to teach me, but . . .

Your all gonna flip how I even got to the findings of Angela Lawless - somehow I got on a lead of Lawless " Women" who own a Chain of Day Cares in New York

How I got to them was chasing the Name of Ronald Lawless who was in Clergy " Zion" church in Douglaston NY.

Joan and Annitte Lawless own a chain of Day Cares for Children in NY.
Somehow I came within their names the Name of Angela Lawless Murdered

Connie’s maternal Gpa was “Elder John Cooper (who)…came from a long line of Missionary Baptists. His father and grandfather before him were Missionary Baptist Ministers and he was reared in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” They are bio’d (along with uncles, cousins) in the following link, with ministry all over SW Indian Territory: Twentieth Century California Pastors
http://jrhenness4.home.comcast.net/~jrhenness4/calhac/book/pastors/pastors_03.htm
Her uncle (Irene’s bro-in-law) is Harless, with 3 generations of pastors, found at same website.

Connie’s paternal connection through A.A. Harris (”Art was saved May 10, 1938 in a bean field out side Salinas. “) is at http://jrhenness4.home.comcast.net/~jrhenness4/calhac/book/pastors/pastors_06.htm

Clover Road Baptist Church

I cant view the actual document, but their is a "charity license", although not a 501c3 for this church on Dec31, 1999, but it has an expiration date 5 months later, but says "active". Can anyone find the actual document?
They are not on pub 78 of the IRS.

hmm on the victory baptist merging with sovereign grace.

Lane has pastored Clover Road Baptist Church of Tracy CA - since 1981.

so now they have how many members AFTER they MERGED LOL  how many did they have BEFORE they merged?  5? LOL  and how many of these people are related or married to relatives of CLL? or his family.  I wish we had the members list.

so the baptist church transfered the property and assets to the sovereign grace.  and how many members were at sovereign grace at that time, so a baptist church just gives a few people all their assets and property?  and then the place never grows in 30 years.

so are they even a 503c1?  I tried to do a quick look-up to see and could not find clover road baptist church.  so what are they under?  if they are a "charity" they should still be a 501c3.  so what name are they under? dang I wish I lived near tracy I would be camped inside their courthouse!

another thing, if they merged with sovereign grace before CCL went there, who had the place then, and where did their pastor go, did they just boot him, did they ever have one? did they have a lot of members at one time and after cll got there they all left? or what?

my personal opinion is- there is something very hokie about this church and it might trace back to the other churches he has pastored also.

If anyone is interested in reading about the church in Redding.

Bro. Wharton  received Jesus as his personal Savior on a Friday night in August 1959 at a church camp in Iowa.
I'll have to look it up to see which one, but we have a few from IOWA.  anyone remember who it is from IOWA?

Dennis R. Wharton

He was an auctioneer, raised dogs, was a trader at Canton First Monday Trade Days and at the age of 12 he had his own merchandise in his parents' store. He was a non-denominational Christian.

Mr. Lawless is survived by his daughter, Tonya Kirby and her husband, Tracy, of Alba, Texas; his parents, Rev. Ed and Mary Lou Lawless, of Linden, Texas; one brother, Jeff Lawless and wife, Colette, of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Brenda Lawless Washington and husband, James; Renee Lawless Eaves and husband, Deriek, and Diana Lawless Nimmo and husband, Keith, all of Linden, Texas; six grandchildren, Christopher Kirby, Tyler Kirby, Cora Kirby, Summer Kirby, Ty Kirby and Trent Kirby, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Gets weirder:

http://www.thepamperedprisoner.com/blawlesstx.htm

Please dont cut and paste from the site to this thread, but do read it.
Bret died in prison. There is alot more information about him such as confessing to murders in 2000 of his ex girlfriends daughter and her two kids, which DNA cleared him of.

So again, we have a Reverend without a church (ED) and I do not believe that is his given name. Who else was born around the time this Rev would have had to have been to have a child in 1958? Say 1938ish at the earliest?

Clover Road Baptist Church

I cant view the actual document, but their is a "charity license", although not a 501c3 for this church on Dec31, 1999, but it has an expiration date 5 months later, but says "active". Can anyone find the actual document?
They are not on pub 78 of the IRS.

Sister this I think came up before. I wish I can get to he records department, in this county it is in Stockton. I cannot get there during the week.

Any real church is going to function under a 501c3 or they are going to get slammed on taxes. Does this building have any tax liens? Where do you find that information?

This was a question posted by Blink in mid-May.  I have not seen any research on it, though I still have lots of posts to re-read.  On this thread, not too far up, there is a list of grantors and grantees, one of which I thought was interesting -- a Dennis Wharton, who is one of the webmaster's on the Clover Road Baptist Church site.

This is very important stuff your discussing here, I think!
Something is not right....
If memory serves...if....
We were NOT able to resolve these issues with the church.  And the connection to the other churches...

Whew...let's see what we can find...

A Clarkston, Wash. church where Melissa Huckaby’s grandfather was once pastor is being looked at by the FBI.

Lane Lawless is now the pastor of the Clover Lane Baptist church in Tracy, Calif., which was cordoned off as a crime scene in the Sandra Cantu case earlier this month.

In the 1980s, when Lawless was the pastor of the church in Washington, there were allegations of child molestation.

Authorities say Lawless was never arrested or charged in connection with the abuse allegations.

Sister
I think you are right!

Sources cited by KCRA indicate that the FBI's investigation centered on Pastor Clifford Lane Lawless, the grandfather of Melissa Huckaby. . KHe was reportedly the pastor of a church in the Lewiston-Clarkston area in the 1980's however KHQ was unable to confirm which church he lead because of a lack of records and the fact that several area churches have similar namesKCRA reports that Lawless was possibly questioned in connection with allegations of child abuse at the time of that original investigation. However the Asotin County Sheriff's Department and the Clarkston Police Department say they do not have any records of a criminal case ever being filed.

Pastor Bill Creutzberg in a telephone interview said that the FBI was "trying to put the pieces of their puzzle together. They were asking about certain people who might be able to lead them to other people."

FBI visits Clarkston church in connection with Sandra Cantu murder investigation

Current First Church of God Rev. Bill Creutzberg, who was not at the church at the time the allegations were made, said he was aware of an earlier investigation.

Video: Questions Surround Tracy Pastor, Former Church

"There are deep emotions about that incident," Creutzberg told KCRA 3. "People here never mention it."

[First Church of God]
First Church of God

Creutzberg said he was unsure if FBI agents visited First Church of God in relation to the earlier investigation or the Cantu case.

After going through records, Creutzberg said he couldn't find any evidence that Lawless ever regularly attended the church.

Instead of Lawless, Creutzberg said the FBI was more interested in talking with a former pastor named Dale Johnson.

"He just left town, and we never heard from him again," Clarkston resident Pamela Verges said.

Creutzberg said the FBI agent assured him that Johnson did nothing wrong.

Neighbors told KCRA 3 that Johnson left town when his house was foreclosed upon.

back some time ago, Blink asked about this Dale Johnson.  Tomorrow I'll find her question.  We never could find one tied to the Lawless clan.

I wonder if HOW they connect...
Is thru this church Pastor Lane was accused of molesting a child in WA?!

I remember watching a video of two people interviewed in front of the church, there was a sign out there and this is the right church you have.  I have the info somewhere will try to find it tomorrow.  Its somewhere in my notes or on a private board, I will try to find it, maybe the video is still up.  anyway the two people interviewed were also both named johnson a man and a woman, I think I remember his name was bob johnson?  let me find that tomorrow.  and they said something about being really worried this was all being brought up and they did not feel safe or something to that affect, it was weird.

falling asleep so will look for this tomorrow, if I forget, someone remind me.
Nite

 Harless, John Paul (Unaffiliated)

Harless, John Paul John Paul is the grandson of Richard I. and Alberta (Harless) Perdue. He was saved and then baptized by the Liberty LMBC Modesto in December 1975. He surrendered to preach in March 1992. He was called to pastor the Palmdale MBC in 1996 and served them for eight years. He then was called by the FMBC of Traskwood in Traskwood, Arkansas where he has been from 2004 to the present. This is the church that had the court case over New - Light doctrine. He is married to Tereesa Miles and they have four children.

Harless, Richard A. (Old State)

Harless, Richard A. Richard was born in Soper, Oklahoma, June 4, 1920. He was saved in Oklahoma in 1939 and baptized in the San Pablo MBC building in 1946 by the Brentwood FMBC, Ted Cooper pastor. He married Alberta Cooper January 3, 1946 and they had 4 children, two who are MB preachers.

He answered the call to preach February 18, 1946 and was ordained a week later by the Castroville MBC. He attended the Fresno Missionary Baptist Institute under Brother Hunt and the Mennonite Bible College in Fresno.

He pastored the following churches: Centerville MBC; Castroville MBC; Centerville second time till it flooded out; Airport MBC in Modesto; Liberty MBC in Modesto and Shiloh MBC in Bakersfield.

He was very active in the Old State Association and held many positions in it. He was a leader in the work. He was a veteran having served from 1941 - 45 in WW II.

Harless, Richard II (Old State)

Harless, Richard II Richard the II was born September 16, 1947. He saved December 9, 1956 and baptized the same day by the Airport MBC in Modesto with his father, the pastor of the church administering the baptism. He was called to the ministry November 1964 and was ordained be Airport MBC July 11, 1970.

He pastored the following churches: New Hope MBC in Oroville July 12, 1970 to September 3, 1975; Denair MBC January 1, 1978 to 1988; San Fernando 1989 to September 16, 2000.

He died September 16, 2000 while still pastor of the San Fernando church.

All three churches did very well under his leadership making progress in all phases of the work. He was still a young man with so much promise. He had served as State Moderator and many other positions.

Harless, Richard III (Old State)

Harless, Richard III Richard the third, is a young man that surrendered to the ministry a few years ago. He is a son to Richard the second and comes from a long line of MB preachers. Shortly after surrendering to the ministry he was ordained by the Liberty MBC in Modesto and accepted the Hughson MBC as pastor. He was with them until 2006.

This is from an earlier post....
However, when I saw the SAME town Clarkston, WA...
It sent up a red flag!

that richard R lawless you have aug 1948 is the very same guy I am researching now.
he is the one out of clarkston wa and lewiston ID and deer park mt.  he is the one I have listed with 3 charges of child rape in washington.  I am digging up a bunch of stuff on him and I found something I can't say.  we have to figure out who all this guy is connected to.  he also has addresses with JOHNSON names, can't find a dale yet though, but I ran into something really not good at all.  will not post it, but we have got to figure out how this guy connects to the lawless lines in cali.

who is that robert you say he is related to?

The Two Men compared from Blinks photos -

Richard and Robert

The Black and White Photo is the Senior to the Male in the Color photo

They are related Men that is what I see - no doubt in my mind.
From 2000-2007 I was an Esthetician and it was my position to study the human face and practice skin care. I have had over 10k faces within my hands. The Human face tells no tales.
I am sure each and everyone of you has had someone at some point in your life come to You and ask you if you have a sister named " so n so" because You look just like another..or someone has come up to you and has thought you were someone they knew.. by Face.

Literally there is 5 types of skin and less than 10 skeletal groupings of features - and Yes they can be mixed into Thousands of " results" - yet when it all comes down to it .. the Human face is not that complicated.
Those two men in the photos' as I see it - are Father and Son.

All 3 have similar facial features.  Slight differences in the noses and ears.

This is from the Alisal Baptist Church, where Connie's brother has been the pastor for 31 years:

ARTICLES OF FAITH

CONSTITUTION

ARTICLES OF FAITH AND BY-LAWS OF THE ALISAL BAPTIST CHURCH, INDEPENDENT MISSIONARY, WORSHIPPING AT 452 WILLIAMS ROAD, SALINAS, CALIFORNIA. (PLACE OF WORSHIP IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.)

PREAMBLE

We, the members of Alisal Baptist Church, Independent Missionary, in order to establish unity, justice for each member, insure peace and tranquility for the church, and provide for the defense of the faith by making clear what we believe as we preach the gospel to all nations, and secure the blessings of our Lord to ourselves and to our posterity, do ordain, establish, and adopt the following:

ARTICLES OF FAITH

I. BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the infallible word of God, written by men and divinely inspired that it contains a perfect rule of faith and practice for a New Testament Church. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21; Ps. 119:89; 1 Pet. 1:25.)

II. GOD
We believe in the triune God-head: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; that these three distinct persons are one; that this God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. The Holy Spirit - He is God (Act. 5:1-5); Christ is God (Col 2:9; John 10:30; 14:9; Heb. 1:8.) These three distinct persons were represented at the baptism of Jesus. (Matt. 3:16, 17; 1 John 5:7.)

III. CREATION
We believe the Genesis account of creation. We believe that man was created by God, in the image and likeness of God. That he stood before God in the state of holiness and innocence. (Gen. 1:25, 27; Col. 1:16, John 1:1-3, 14.)

IV. DEPRAVITY
We believe that man fell from his holy state by voluntary transgression and is now totally depraved, without holiness or any inclination thereto. That he is spiritually dead in trespasses and in sins. (Rom. 5:12; Isa. 1:5,6; Eph. 2:1-3, 5; Rom. 3:9-18, 23; Jer. 10:23; 17:9.)

V. CHURCH
We believe a New Testament Church is a local, visible body of baptized believers in Christ, covenanted together to carry out the Laws of Christ as set forth in the New Testament and that it's sole purpose is to preach the gospel to all nations, baptize those who are saved, and then teach them to observe all things Christ commanded. (Acts 1:21, 22; Matt. 28:18-20.) It was established before Pentecost. (Luke 6:12, 13; Mark 3:14; Luke 16:13-18; Matt. 18:17, 22.)
1. We believe in the perpetuity of the church: that there has been and will continue to be a true church in the world from the days of Christ until He returns to this earth. (Matt. 16:18.)
2. We believe that the church can be identified by her doctrine in history through all generations from Christ and the apostles to the present. (Matt. 28:20; 2 Tim. 2:2.)
3. We believe the officers of the church are pastors and deacons and that they are considered servants of the church. (Eph. 4:11; Acts 6:2-6.)
4. We believe the pastor is the "overseer" of the church and the church is duty bound to follow the pastor as long as he follows Christ. (Acts 20:28; Heb. 13:7, 17; 1 Cor. 11:1.)
5. We believe the deacons and all other members of the church are to aid or help the pastor when called upon. (1 Cor., 12:28.)
6. This church will not call a pastor until she has investigated him and found him to be in harmony with this constitution. (1 Thess. 5:12a.)
7. Should this church ever call a pastor and he is found to believe and / or preach contrary to this constitution, he is to be given a fair hearing, and if found guilty, he will be expelled from the office. If a majority of the members stand with him, the minority holding to this constitution will constitute the church, hold and own the property, and exclude the majority with the pastor. (Eph. 4:3; 1 Cor. 1:10.)
8. No pastor shall be called or dismissed by this church until it has been announced three (3) times, once in each separate service covering a period of three (3 ) weeks.
9. The pastor will be given an indefinite call by an open vote: raising the hand or standing to the feet.
10. At no time shall the pastor of this church be dismissed by this church except first, ample charges based on the scripture be presented against him in the mouth of two (2) or three (3) witnesses showing him to be unfit scripturally for the office. (1 Tim. 5:19; Matt. 18:16.)
11. The nature of this church is "Missionary Baptist" and shall be known as the Alisal Baptist Church, Independent Missionary, Church of Salinas.
12. All members have a right to vote in all business meetings and on all items of business, when present, unless they are under discipline with charges placed against them; in such cases they will not vote on any proposition or have any part in the business meetings until they are exonerated.

VI. DIRECT MISSIONS
This church will endorse as many missionaries as she feels the Holy Spirit leads as in Acts 13:1-4. There will be no agencies to serve as mediums between the church and missionary, such as Convention Boards, Missionary Committees, or Central Treasurers, but all support shall be sent direct from the church to the missionary as in Phil. 4:16. When it is possible, the missionary should report direct back to the church. (Acts 14:24-27.)

VII. THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe the Lord's Supper is restricted to a New Testament Missionary Baptist Church whose members are in full fellowship continuing steadfastly in the apostle's doctrine. Visitors or non-members present at the time the church observes the supper will be refused a seat at the table. The only elements on the table will be the fruit of the vine (unfermented juice) and unleavened bread. (1 Cor. 11:18-26; 1 Cor. 5th chapter.) Steps to the Supper (Acts 8:38, 39.)

VIII. BAPTISM
We believe that scriptural baptism is the dipping of a saved person in the water by the authority of a New Testament Church. The administrator is to be a minister ordained by a New Testament Missionary Baptist Church. (Matt. 3:16; Acts 8:38, 39.)

IX. THE NEW BIRTH
We believe that being born again is synonymous with regeneration and being quickened from the dead to eternal life and relationship with God as one of His children. That it is wrought in the heart of the alien sinner by the power of the Holy Spirit in a manner above our comprehension; at this point he receives the adoption of being a son of God and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit as evidence; he is a saint with an inheritance that cannot be lost. (John 3:1-7; 2 Cor. 4:6; 5:17; Eph. 2:8, 9; John 6:63; 1 Cor. 4:15; Rom 6:17,18.)

X. RESURRECTION OF THE SAVED
We believe that when a saint departs this life, his spirit goes back to God who gave it and the body goes back to the dust from whence it came to await the resurrection which will take place when Christ returns to this earth with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trump of God, the dead in Christ will rise first and those which are alive will be caught up together with them in the cloud to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. At this time our vile bodies will be changed and fashioned like unto his glorious body and we shall be like Him for we shall see Him like He is. This is the first resurrection. (Eccl. 12:7; 1 Cor. 15:35-44, 51-58; 1 Thess. 4:16-18.)

XI. RESURRECTION OF THE UNSAVED
We believe the unsaved will be raised from the dead one thousand years after the saints. The unsaved will stand before the great white throne judgment to be judged out of those things written in the books and those whose names are not written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire, this is the second resurrection. (Rev. 20:12,13.)

XII. JUSTIFICATION
We believe that justification is by faith based upon the finished work of Christ on the cross. Justification is a judicial act on God's part; He declares us justified on the ground of the finished work of Christ. ( Rom. 3:24, 25.) The believer stands before God as though he had never sinned. (Rom. 8:32-34.) Faith is the gift of God and the channel through which justification comes. (Rom. 5:1.)

XIII. SALVATION
We believe that salvation is three-fold: Salvation of the spirit from hell; Salvation of the life or conduct from this present evil world; Salvation of the body from the state of depravity and corruption; that salvation in its entirety is achieved by the mercy and grace of God. (Acts 4:12; John 3:1-5.) Save ourselves (life) (Matt. 16:24-26.) Our body (Rom. 7:24, 25.) It is all by grace. (Eph. 2:8, 9; 1 Cor. 15:10.)

XIV. SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER
We believe the saints or children of God are secure and not one whom the Father gave to the Son will ever be lost. (John 6:37-39; 10:27-29; Rom. 8:34-39; Eph. 4:30.)

XV. REPENTANCE
We believe that repentance is from spiritual death unto spiritual life; that it is wrought in the alien sinner by the power of the Holy Spirit; that repentance and regeneration is what Jesus meant when he told Nicodemus he must be born again; that its fruits are faith, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, and temperance. (Gal. 5:22, 23.) That it is granted of God. (Acts 11:18; 2 Tim. 2:25.)
XVI. CHOICE OF THE ALIEN SINNER
We believe that the alien sinner has a choice but it is depraved and he cannot choose outside of his depraved state, that he is neither free or moral and therefore does not have the power to choose Christ, because he is in prison. (Isa. 61:1, 2) His heart is deceitful. (Jer. 17:9; 10:23.) His choice is always wrong. (Prov. 14:12.)

XVII. EQUALITY OF MAN
We do not believe that all men were created equal, only Adam and Eve were created and all the rest of Adam's race were begotten by their foreparents and they were not all born equal. However, we believe that all men should have equal rights in civil affairs under the Constitution of the United States of America. Pharoah was born to be evil and wicked. (Ex. 9:15, 16; Rom. 9:17.) Jeremiah was born to do good and be righteous. (Jer. 1:5.) Esau was born to do wickedly. (Rom. 9:10-13.) In the parable of the talents, the talents were unequal, so were the servants. (Matt. 25:14-30.)

XVIII. SANCTIFICATION
We believe that sanctification of the believer in Jesus Christ began with the New Birth; that the new man is sanctified, set apart, separated from sin forever; that sanctification of the body, life or conduct is ever progressive and will climax in the resurrection, effected by the grace of God. (Acts 26:18; 1 Cor. 6:11; Eph. 5:25,26; 1 Thes. 4:3; 2 Thes. 2:13,14; John 17:17.)

XIX. THE DEATH OF CHRIST
We believe that Christ died of His own will, the most cruel ignominious death ever experienced; that He tasted death for every man, but not that every man might be born again, but that every man may live and move and have his being; that He is the Saviour of all men means, He is the preserver of all men, but a special preserver to those who believe. (John 10:15,17; Psa. 22; Heb. 2:9; Acts 17:28; 1 Tim. 4:10; Isa. 53.)

XX. FAITH
We believe that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen; that all men do not have faith; that it is a gift of God and only those who have been given faith can believe in Jesus Christ. (Heb. 11:1; 2 Thes. 3:1,2; Eph. 2:8,9.) Christ the substitute for the elect. (2 Tim. 2:10.) Typified by Abraham and Isaac (Gen. 22.) God's purpose in grace was given to the elect before the world. (2 Tim. 1:9; Eph. 3:11.)

XXI. CHRIST THE SUBSTITUTE
We believe that Jesus Christ was the substitute for only the elect, those included in the everlasting covenant, which was purposed in Christ before the world. (Heb. 13:20; 2 Tim. 2:10) Typified by Abraham and Isaac (Gen. 22.) God's purpose was given to the elect before the world began. (2 Tim. 1:9; Eph. 3:11.)

XXII. ELECTION
We believe that God chose a definite number of Adam's race in Jesus Christ before the foundation of the world, whom he will save from corruption, condemnation, and hell, not for any disposition, faith, or holiness, that He forsaw in them, but of His mere mercy in Jesus Christ, His Son, passing by all the rest, according to the irreprehensible reason of His free will and justice based upon His sovereignty; that He ordained the preaching of the gospel as the means used by the Holy Spirit to bring the elect to Christ, and since we do not know who the elect are, it is this church's duty to preach the gospel to all nations. (Eph. 1:4; Rom. 11:7; 2 Thes. 2:13,14; 2 Tim. 1:9; Rev. 13:8; 17:8; 2 Thes. 2:14; John 17:2; John 6:37-39.)

XXIII. PREDESTINATION
We believe that predestination is that doctrine by which God has from all eternity decreed and ordered whatsoever comes to pass. And that all things whatsoever comes to pass is consistent with His divine will and purpose which He purchased in Christ before the world; (Eph. 3:11.) That it is by this great doctrine that God causes all things to work together for good to them that love God. It is by this doctrine that all prophesy comes to pass. It is by this doctrince, that all believers receive the adoption of sons. It is by this doctrine that all believers will be conformed to the image of His Son. (Rom. 8:28-31.) It is by this doctrine that Christ was crucified. (Acts 2:23; 4:27,28.) Predestination is perfectly consistent with the responsibility of man; the predestination of God and the responsibility of man are harmonized in the doctrine of the sovereignty of God.

XXIV. SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD
We belive God is completely sovereign, that He is supreme. He is under no law, not even to himself. Since He is sovereign, He is perfectly able and just to hold man responsible for the things man is unable to do. For example: "Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good." (Rom. 7:12.) But could man keep the law? No! "The law of the Lord is perfect." (Psa. 19:17.) It was broken by the Israelites before Moses came down off the mountain. God knew that they could not keep the law before he gave it. However, when they broke the law, he held them responsible and they paid the penalty by death. (Num. 15:32-36.) God is above all. (1 Chr. 29:11; Psa. 115:3; 1 Tim. 6:15; Psa. 22:28; Dan. 4:35; Eph. 1:4-11.)

XXV. CIVIL GOVERNMENT
We believe that civil government is of divine appointment for the interest and good order of human society; and that magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored and obeyed, except only in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only Lord of the conscience, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. But that civil rulers have no rights or control over, or interference with religious matters. (Rom 13:1-4; 1 Tim. 2:1,2; Acts 5:17-29.)

XXVI THE WILL OF MAN
All men have a will but that will is always influenced by some outside power or force. The eunuch's will to be baptized was influenced by Phillip's preaching. Jeoshaphat's will was influenced to go with Ahab. (2 Chr. 18:1-3.) The will of man is always subordinate. (Luke 12:16-20.) Pilate's will was influenced by the mob. (John 19:12.) Since the will is a faculty of man and man is totally depraved, it only follows that the will of man is also depraved and without divine influence the will of man always chooses the moral trend down. God quickens man, (Eph. 2:1,5.) by the power of the gospel, (Rom. 1:16.) thus man has eternal life and then God gives him faith, (Eph. 2:8,9.) and the Love of God is shed abroad in his heart by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:5.) and this love puts faith to work; (Gal. 5:6.) the man, once dead in trespasses and sin, is now able to believe. The men's will who were on the ship with Paul, (Acts 27.) tried to compel them to flee out of the ship, (v. 30) but the words of Paul influenced their wills and they remained in the ship (v. 31).

IN THE EVENT THAT ANY MEMBER OR GROUP OF MEMBERS SHOULD UNDERTAKE TO AMMEND, ADD TO, OR ABROGATE THESE STATEMENTS, THEIR ACTIONS SHALL DECLARE THEM TO BE OUT OF FELLOWSHIP WITH THE CHURCH AND OUT OF HARMONY WITH THESE STATEMENTS AND WILL BE EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF HAVING DEPARTED FROM THE FAITH OF THIS CHURCH. AS LONG AS TWO OR MORE MEMBERS HOLD TO THE ABOVE STATED PRINCIPLES THEY SHALL CONSTITUTE THE CHURCH, OWN AND HOLD ALL PROPERTIES IN THE NAME OF THE "ALISAL BAPTIST CHURCH, INDEPENDENT MISSIONARY," WORSHIPPING AT 452 WILLIAMS ROAD, SALINAS, CALIFORNIA. IF THE CHURCH SHOULD EVER DISBAND, THE PROPERTY WILL BE SOLD AND THE PROCEEDS GIVEN TO THE ALISAL BAPTIST CHURCH OR CHURCHES OF THE SAME FAITH.

Cantu Investigators Visit Washington Church 4/24/09
Cantu Investigators Visit Washington Church

POSTED: 5:56 am PDT April 24, 2009
UPDATED: 8:33 am PDT April 24, 2009

CLARKSTON, Wash. -- An investigation into the slaying of Tracy resident Sandra Cantu has taken FBI investigators to a small church in eastern Washington.

Melissa Huckaby, a resident of the Tracy mobile home park where Cantu lived, was arrested in connection with the killing earlier this month just days after the girl's body was found in a suitcase in an irrigation pond.

Earlier this month, the FBI went to the First Church of God in Clarkston, Wash., to ask questions about Lane Lawless, who is Huckaby's grandather and currently serves as pastor of Clover Road Baptist Church in Tracy.

Huckaby, who was set to return to a Stockton courtroom on Friday, has been charged with murdering Cantu.

Meanwhile, a source close to the investigation said that back in in the mid-'80s there were allegations of child abuse and/or molestation somehow connected to the First Church of God. Lawless was working at the Clarkston church at the time and was questioned regarding the allegations, but nobody was ever charged.

Current First Church of God pastor Bill Creutzberg, who was not at the church at the time the allegations were made, said he was aware of the earlier investigation.

"There are deep emotions about that incident," Creutzberg told KCRA 3. "People here never mention it."

Creutzberg said he was unsure if FBI agents visited First Church of God in relation to the earlier investigation or the Cantu case.

Clarkston residents were unnerved by a possible connection between their town and Cantu's killing.

Cid Johnson called the link a "scary thing," adding she worries that her security may be at risk.

Investigators also returned Thursday to Clover Road Baptist Church to gather more information. The church is located a short distance from the mobile home park were Cantu lived.

Melissa Huckaby Charged In Tracy Girl's Death

POSTED: 5:55 pm PDT April 23, 2009
UPDATED: 6:34 pm PDT April 23, 2009

TRACY, Calif. -- In recent weeks, FBI agents visited a church along the Washington-Idaho border in connection with Melissa Huckaby's family, KCRA 3 has confirmed.

Huckaby, 28, has been charged in the homicide of 8-year-old Tracy girl Sandra Cantu. The girl's body was found in a suitcase pulled from an irrigation pond 10 days after she went missing.

"They were trying to put the pieces of their puzzle together. They were asking about certain people who might be able to lead them to other people. But I do not know exactly what they were looking for," Pastor Bill Creutzberg said by phone.

Sources close to the Cantu investigation told KCRA 3 that most of the FBI's questions centered on Pastor Lane Lawless.

Lawless, who lives in the mobile home park where Cantu once lived, is Huckaby's grandfather.

He is the pastor of Clover Road Baptist Church, which was searched while Sandra was missing and after Huckaby's arrest.

Sources told KCRA 3 that Lawless was questioned years ago as part of a report of suspected child abuse.

However, both the Asotin County Sheriff's Department and the Clarkston Police Department in Washington said they do not have any records of a criminal case ever being filed.

During the investigation, Lawless' wife, Connie, said Cantu visited their home often to play with their great granddaughter.

Huckaby has been charged in the Cantu case with one count of murder with the special circumstances of rape with a foreign object, lewd or lascivious conduct with a child under 14 and murder in the course of a kidnapping.

I want to know why this would make cid johnson(the lady in the clarkston video in previous couple of posts) worry about her security?  her name is johnson and so was the bob johnson in the video, and the person the news mentioned at first was Dale johnson, which the other pastor said he did not know about, but he obviously was the old pastor.  so is dale johnson related to cid and bob johnson who are worried about this?

And why can't they remember "THAT GUY" , dale johnson?
was CLL there under the name of Dale johnson? LOL

btw, the aunt of CLL, bette june grimes who married cll's uncle richard birdette lawless, then she married Donald lafayette johnson.  also the richard ray lawless 3 counts of child rape has a clarkston address.  as well as other addresses, but he also lived there too.

Randy Harris, three sisters and several nieces and nephews were at the funeral. There are seven surviving siblings of the Harris family, which had lived in the Visalia area after arriving in California in the 1950s.

While the lawyers were fighting over his fate, Harris spent the evening in his cell within sight of the gas chamber. He read his mail, including hate letters, and talked with his spiritual adviser - and second cousin - Leon Harris, a Southern Baptist minister from Alabama who was locked in an adjacent cell.

Some of the reads are very interesting in relation to how the mother and father treated their children!

I am also thinking he was the last one to ever be executed by the gas chamber

so this person went to state prison there

WTH??????? ::MonkeyEek::
"Any time that a church is working with children you’re going to have a certain amount of that"

I read that and thought, a certain amount . . . wonder what is the correct amount that it's ok and what does a person do to cross that line?

I have never worked in a church with kids before...
But I was a Teacher's Assistant for Special Education and there were MANY guidelines on how to interact with children...especially physically.  But that was Sp. Ed.  I am not sure that you are supposed to even hug any child as a teacher or staff in public schools.  At least, here in California.

We haven't had any trouble, but . . . we are writing and abiding by a "Safe Sanctuary Policy" i.e. in Sunday School, there are to be to "unrelated" children with the class at all times, no one who is not more than 15 years older than the oldest child may be a teacher, no child can leave the sanctuary or classroom unless accompanied by their parent or an unrelated adult, etc.

Sources told KCRA 3 that Lawless was questioned years ago as part of a report of suspected child abuse.
However, both the Asotin County Sheriff's Department and the Clarkston Police Department in Washington said they do not have any records of a criminal case ever being filed.

I have searched and searched and can find nothing to indicate CLL was at that Church in Washington.  He began preaching 4/6/1971 and was ordained 8/20/1971 by Winton Missionary Baptist Church -- the pastor at this church at that time was Arthur DeWayne Harris, brother of Connie.  From 8/71-5/73 he was the pastor as Grace MBC in Gardena.  He then did "mission" work in Eureka.  In 1980 he was at First Sovereign Grace in Mountain View which mergered with Victory Missionary Baptist in Tracy.  Arthur DeWayne Harris was at First Sovereign Grace in Mountain View from 1974-1975.
There are some indications that Arthur DeWayne Harris and CLL were both at First Sovereign in 1975.  In 1981 FSG & Victory mergered and eventually became known as Clover Road.  The IRS forms for Clover Road Baptist Church say it was established in 1957.  It is possible that Daives C. Cooper "Doc" or his father John Cooper established whatever the name of the church was in 1957 as they "started" churches, including in Tracy.

I wonder if Lane's missing time frame corresponds with the child molestation accusations in Lewiston & Clarkston???  Seems unreasonable to this monkey that the church "has NO records" . ::MonkeyNoNo::

Harless, John Paul (Unaffiliated)

John Paul is the grandson of Richard I. and Alberta (Harless) Perdue. He was saved and then baptized by the Liberty LMBC Modesto in December 1975. He surrendered to preach in March 1992.

Who is this guy? and what happened to him?

I wonder if Lane's missing time frame corresponds with the child molestation accusations in Lewiston & Clarkston???  Seems unreasonable to this monkey that the church "has NO records" . ::MonkeyNoNo::

Lone, Connie's father:
Washington churches October 1956 to June 1968

Connie and CLL were married in 1960 -- there is some connection to Washington churches, no matter what she says.

First Church of GOD - Clarkston Washington
Where alleged abuse occurred in the eighties

Lone, can you double check this again?  If this is not a Baptist Church then it's probably the wrong church.  Could it be First Church of God Baptist Church?  CLL is definitely a Baptist and the "Church of God" is another denomination.

((edit - per request below))

NOTE - THIS WAS THE FIRST REQUEST I RECEIVED FROM THIS PERSON TO REMOVE THE INFORMATION

You got the wrong MBL - I know this is tough to realize, but some people have the same name. Different person, same name. Strange, huh? http://www.sermonaudio.com/source_news.asp?sourceid=mbl
