It was found in the woods, but I don't think it was at the time of the Suburban finding of Caylee. Let me shake my brain around a little.  Fanny and Mama, I don't know what to think about the credit card found. I have old debit cards lying around in cabinets that if you looked hard enough you could find them, but couldn't use them as they are inactive.

Yes it was.  There was a bit of flooding .  It is gone now.

The wallet guys interview was released in the same dump that Shirley's was.  His name was Tim or Tom Monforte and he lived on Lumberton Drive.  His house burned down in 2007 I think, and the wallet and credit card were never recovered from the fire. 

I recall reading the police interview pertaining to the wallet that was found.  I *thought* it was found either in the woods where Caylee's remains were found or perhaps it was near the bag of toys that some people driving nearby that area discovered???  Regardless, I was left to believe that the wallet was completely unrelated to this case but I could be wrong.

Hi Desi when you come back I thought I would post this capture of a part of the interview with the neighbor Jean about leaving in KC's car after an argument - I think it is rather confusing because he says "her mom got in her car and drove away" .....did he mean KC got in the car?  But when you read it it sounds like Cindy (the mom) got in the car and drove away.  But none the less he says this occurred in May sometime - end of May maybe.  My brain is fried on this one.

IIRC, the wallet was found close to where they body was or in one of the bags there. Maybe the Disney bag, not sure on that one, but they interviewed the man. He had a fire at his house when they were all gone and he had a wallet in his garage with some credit cards in it which he did not use. One of them was a JC Penny's card, and some others. They seemed to be the most interested in that card. IIRC, they had already checked the police report on the fire when they interviewed him. I was very interested in if anything had been charged on his cards.

UGH!! I just read that letter and I'm trying to figure out what the heck it's supposed to be.  A plea for donations, a justification of some sorts for their actions/inactions, sympathy?? I really do not know.  Not to be a nitpick but for crying out loud if you're trying to write a letter from a professional legitimate organization would you not have someone proof read it for grammar?  In my opinion it's a bunch of nonsensical rambling.

You may remember when I posted my email and response to ESR&R about searching for Tracy Ocasio. I asked them to search for her as her family needed all the help they could get. The response, which came almost a week later, stated that they did take all leads on the missing seriously but could I provide them with info on how to contact her parents.   ::MonkeyRoll:: 

So, when TES came to town to search for her, there was an article in one of the papers asking for help with the search and it contained where the search base was and the info to the LE agency that was conducting the search. All the info one needed to go and help.

So I once again emailed them another letter asking them to join in the search with a copy of the actual article/link so they would have all info needed.  Did I get a response back from them?  Nope.  Was there any mention of them helping with the search in any of the news articles covering the search?  Nope  Was there any film footage showing they were there helping in the search on any of the videos that covered the search?  Nope.   

We all know, and they prove it time and time again, they just flat out do not search for any missing people. Missing cars in the Everglades, yes, but not for missing people.  You can count on me to do whatever it takes to stop their next project, the home for girls thingy, from ever opening their doors. These folks could care less about helping anybody, only themselves in the way of lining their own pockets via caring, compassionate people. I detest all of them in such a way that I can't even put it into words.  ::MonkeyNoNo::

I wanted to share some comments on the Blinksite that address our hotly debated chloroform issue. I have said from day one that I did not believe that Casey was using this on Caylee, or that she killed her with it. I have always believed it was used for sexual recreational purposes and that the "simultaneous" searches on her and Ricardos computers right around when they start dating, the neck breaking, all research in this area, imo. Also I noted that although LE has the deleted image of "Kill her with chloroform" from his computer, there is no mention of it in his interview that we have seen, but I predict we will.  Food for thought.

It was actually rather difficult to find valid references to such online, for anything other than rape scenarios. . .

Per the articles, chloroform is evidently sometimes used as an enhancing substance in sexual asphyxia (similar effect to what killed Carradine) via “huffing” (sniffing solvents) - although it is made to sound rather rare & unusual . . . shall have to just trust Mme. Blink’s theories on this one. . . A reference or two follows - shall leave further research to you all (makes my stomach turn):

I truly do not understand experimenting with such toxic substances - completely beyond my grasp of understanding; and alarming to think Casey & pals may have been involved in such dangerous play. Good heavens.

In regard to the huffing:  I noticed that, in one of the document dumps of what they removed from the Hopespring house I believe after the remains were found, that they removed some kind of dust remover.  That struck me as odd because I've seen where people use this as an inhalent.  I will try and find it.  BRB.

I watched that Intervention show with a girl that was huffing that dust remover and she was like up to an outrageous amount of bottles a day. It even showed her going to the stores buying this, and start huffing it in the car. How the he!! do you not figure you have a problem huffing crap like this? When I was a teen, smelling Magic Markers was about as risque as it got.

Falcon, the manufacturer of Dust-Off, labels cans of Dust-Off with conspicuous warnings about misuse of the product. The product Dust-Off itself is not the source of the problem; it is only one example of hundreds of common household products with the potential to be abused by inhalant abusers.

Inhalant abuse (commonly called "huffing") is the intentional inhalation of chemical vapors to attain a mental "high" or euphoric effect. A wide variety of substances, including many common household products, are abused by inhalers. The 2000 National Household Survey on Drug Abuse revealed that the primary population of inhalant abusers is the 12 to 17 age group, followed by the 18 to 25 year old population. In 2000, 18% of eighth graders admitted having used inhalants (huffing) at least once in their lifetime.

Inhalants produce an effect that may be similar to alcohol intoxication. Initial symptoms described by abusers who were "huffing" include:

drowsiness,
lightheadedness, and
loss of inhibition.
Further use can lead to the following:

dizziness,
hallucinations or delusions,
belligerence,
apathy, and
impaired judgment.
Long-term inhalant abusers can suffer damaging health consequences including:

depression and mood changes,
weight loss,
inattentiveness,
lack of coordination,
irritability, and
weakness.
More serious consequences can include permanent damage to the brain and other organs or even death. Sudden cardiac death from fatal cardiac arrhythmias has been reported even in teen inhalant abusers. Death from huffing can occur upon the first time of use, or after prolonged inhalant abuse. Other causes of death include asphyxiation, aspiration, or suffocation.

Chronic inhalant abuse may result in serious and sometimes irreversible damage to the user's heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, and brain. Brain damage may result in personality changes, diminished cognitive functioning, memory impairment, and slurred speech.

The Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN) Medical Examiner data revealed that inhalants were involved in over 500 deaths in the United States from 1996 to 1999.

Substances commonly used by inhalant abusers fall into several categories:

Volatile solvents, such as those found in paint thinner, gasoline, felt-tip markers, nail polish remover, glue, and other household products.
Aerosol sprays containing propellants and solvents. Examples include spray paint, deodorant, and hair care products.
Gases, most commonly nitrous oxide (laughing gas).
Nitrites, a group of chemicals that are used in room deodorizers, are more often abused by those seeking sexual enhancement rather than a euphoric state. Nitrites are most commonly abused by adults.
Parents of teens need to be especially vigilant about signs of inhalant abuse (huffing), since the abused substances are simple household items and not readily identifiable as drugs of abuse. These substances are also easily purchased and inexpensive, making them attractive to curious teens. In addition to signs of intoxication, parents should be warned of potential inhalant abuse by sores and scratches around the mouth area along with the presence of unusual odors.

Poor Caylee Anthony, just 2, was discarded like trash and left to rot.
The eight children on "Jon & Kate Plus 8" are used as window dressing to distract viewers from a troubled marriage.
A father in Heathrow kills his wife, his two children and himself. The family had financial difficulties. The children, the family's most important treasures, were sacrificed.
Adults have stepped forward to explain these situations. Jon and Kate Gosselin have aired their troubles several times on their shows. Grandparents George and Cindy Anthony have toured news programs. Adult friends praised the Heathrow family at a funeral Monday.
But all too often, children have become supporting players or disposable backdrops to selfish adults.
It's a trend that's a disaster for our culture. Ignore or shortchange children, the country will suffer in the long term. They are not props. They are the future.
What does it say about a culture that doesn't recognize its greatest gift, its children, and treat them as such?

 I think those FBI so-called interviews were the hardest to sit though. They made me furious, on so many levels, and everytime a big whopper came out I would have to stop and calm down, before I could get through the rest. I also felt a profound sadness for Caylee, and at the time realized she never even had a chance with these awful people.When they first came out I had to skip over a lot. My cats were in hiding a whole bunch of the time too.

I have recently forced myself to watch the whole things, both Spindy and George. I am not sure we ever got Lee's interview with the FBI. Did we? I tried to keep myself a little calmer the last time. I just ended up feeling dirty and depressed. At least the cats didn't run under the bed and stay for a day or two. That's the best I can say for the interviews. ::MonkeyNoNo::

I was re reading some docs and re read cindy's brother's Rick Plesea.
cindy has 3 brothers,Gary(a recluse),Dan and Rick.Rick is 5 years older than cindy,cindy is the only female and the youngest in the family.
cindy's parents moved to Florida in 1989,right after cindy and georges home was forclosed on.Rick says they had a home,george quit being a deputy(because of cindys wanting to live the good life like georges sister and her hubby(georges sister's hubby had a very good running car lot business) and worked in his Father's car lot.He and his dad didn't get along very well so george struck out on his own with a car lot.George took a 2nd mortgage out on his and cindys home to jump start his business,cindy stayed at home with lee and casey.

georges business failed,too much debt,and they lost the house in forclosure.They then followed cindys parents to Florida.
I'm not positive but I think the home they lost in Ohio was in georges name and cindys Plesea name.The house in Florida is in cindy anthony's name only(I think).
Anyway.....very interesting re reading these old docs and interviews.

Hi Monks, Hi Mission!  Thanks for posting this!  This is exactly the part I mentioned, where the transcription caused confusion... I believe the "and" should read "at" ("AT her mom, got in her car, and drove away," etc.) -- then it makes more sense.  Or maybe he paused and switched directions after "mom", and the pause isn't indicated... Confusing, to say the least.

Anyway, here is the later part of the interview, where the details surrounding the two arguments that Mr. Couty witnessed were clarified. He specifies that Casey left in her car, the Pontiac.  Thank you again for posting that section... that is the part that caused the confusion.

One of the main things of this case that I can't figure out, if the Anthonys were so concerned about Caylee, why in the world didn't they call the police, the car Casey was driving was in their name, they should have done that. That will never make sense to me, they could have come up with something, stolen car, anything if they were that darned concerned. Nothing adds up, and the more you look at all this the more confused this gets with Cindy and George and their actions when they were trying to figure out where the two of them were. There is no way that I believe that Cindy believed the crap Casey was telling her about Caylee. You would have to have half a brain, and even then how could you buy that bs?

Is anyone else getting upset that everyone keeps saying "No motive?" Casey did nothing but lie. Little Caylee was getting to the age where she could talk and blow Casey's life out of the water...For a sociopath, what better motive did she need? That is why I believe it was premeditated, not a rage killing. Caylee was going to cramp more than her lovelife, she could expose Casey and back her into a corner...Lots of motive...

Cindy certainly did not believe Casey but as exhibited over and over again Cindy continued to excuse & ignore so much, I believe because she did not want the outside world knowing her family's dirty laundry.   The most obvious conclusion to this is that they did not call 911 after making that stenching coming from Casey's car.   Instead they drove that stomach turning vehicle of death home attempting to clean it out & Cindy went back to work & refused to call 911 at the wise and encouraged advice of her co-workers...she was quoted as saying she wanted to wait to get an explanation from Casey which indicates she knew darn well they did not suspect Casey was not a victim.

Caylee was just another 'POSSESSION" to Cindy. She was something to show off, use as a prop to show how she was such a great person to take her in and care for her. Ya know, I agree that this family all spent a ton of time being self-absorbed.  Most unfortunately what appears to be evident is that Caylee was like a toy or possession to them all, their love totally misconstrued by the ultimate selfishness.   Endless arguments of who took care of her the most, jealousy issues, power struggling for leverage against other family members.   Their exhibits of love were not of quality but putting her in front of endless TV and DVD  stimuli, taking tons of pictures seemingly to show off "look what is mine," showering Caylee with an over abundance of "things" as if to say "look how much I love her by what I buy her."   My mother (very similar to Cindy, maybe more deplorable) and ironhand despicable step father attempted this when my son was born & as a toddler, I broke the vicious circle for his sake that I couldnt seem to do just for myself growing up, my then husband & childrens father concurred what I suffered as a child was beginning to take on an ugliness that would effect our children.  After coaching & being involved with a host of children's activities I've witnessed all too often parents/grandparents living their lives thru their children/grandchildren beyond the natural love and nurturing one would expect, it can be very damaging & usually is an indicator of other things much more deep, evidenced by many cases later in life I witnessed.

I am sure it will be relaxing

Now reading over the casey phone docs for July 15th.....I cannot find where cindy calls her and says"big problem,call me"but there's no text listed on these docs(so far)anyway.....I did find where casey called cindys cell phone at 12:58(7/15/08)and talks for 3 minutes.cindy calls casey back at 1:11 and talks for one minute.7/15/08 was the car pickup day correct?Anyone know the exact time the car was picked up?

The estranged daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton will not be released from jail today, a judge decided at her first appearance this morning.

Amanda Brumfield, 29, was indicted Wednesday on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child in the death of a 1-year-old girl she was babysitting in Ocoee.

Brumfield's lawyer asked that she be given a bond amount and allowed to leave the jail. The judge denied the request and ordered her to continue to be held at the Orange County Jail without bond.

She said nothing during her first appearance but was shaking and frowning. At one point she appeared to be crying.

Brumfield was one of three people indicted Wednesday in Orlando on first-degree murder charges.

Ocoee police say Brumfield, the godmother of Olivia Garcia, claimed the baby fell out of a playpen. An autopsy completed in March concluded that the 28-inch fall could not have caused the skull fracture or bleeding of the brain that Olivia suffered on Oct. 3, leading to a coma and death the next day.

Prosecutors have not released what they think happened or given a motive.

Also indicted Wednesday was Jackson Fleurimon. The charge: first-degree murder with a firearm. Details of the case were not immediately available.

I keep thinking about Caylee's little body being placed in/on the backyard at some point.  If that happened I am betting that Cindy knew pretty soon something was wrong in the backyard.  I think that her two little dogs would have had either one of two reactions..either they didn't want to go into certain areas of the backyard anylonger out of fear of the death smell of Caylee..or they went in the backyard scratching and sniffing like crazy everytime they were let out.  I can not believe little Caylee's corspe could be there in death mode and the dogs wouldn't know or sense that.  She had to have found something that started the whole ball moving on redoing the pavers, etc on July 4th.  They were broke at that time..so why would they spend anymore money on a backyard no one would see but them?

Among the most-frequent complaints:

1. A book is premature before Casey Anthony's murder trial.

"Maybe we shouldn't have any news stories, either," Fanning said today from her home in Texas. "If it's wrong to do this, then it's wrong to have newspaper stories, magazine stories and TV reports. You can't wait on the vagaries of the justice system."

Fanning notes that her book on astronaut Lisa Nowak was released in November 2007 and that trial is set for December.

Fanning said when she agreed to write about Casey Anthony, who is charged with daughter Caylee's murder, the trial was set for January, then pushed to March. The earliest the trial could start now is next year.

"There is a point in the public world when things get in place and you can't stop that train," Fanning said. "It was supposed to be a post-trial book. This case is so different. There is so much available. Will I write a sequel? It's up to the publisher."

2. The Anthonys will profit from the book.

"A lot of people in the general public seem to believe to write a book like this, you have to purchase rights," Fanning said. "Not true. It's no more true of writers who work for newspapers. People make the assumption I put money in the Anthonys' pocket. It's not true, and it's not ethical. There were enough people to talk to. I could round out what was available from documentation."

3. The title is disrespectful to Caylee.

"Some people are upset by the title," Fanning said. "I didn't pick the title, but I thought it was a good title. No matter how horrendous a mother might be, that child is always mommy's little girl. Children love without any limitation."

The subtitle is "Casey Anthony and Her Daughter Caylee's Tragic Fate."

"She didn't have a long life," Fanning said of the toddler. "I couldn't fill the whole book with Caylee."

4. She is profiting off the tragedy.

"I'm making my living," Fanning said. "That's it. This is what I do to get my paycheck. I write books."

The Anthony saga is her 10th true-crime book, and St. Martin's Press is one of the most respected publishers in that field.

Fanning said readers should expect the Anthony discovery information presented in story form along with anecdotes about Caylee and other people connected to the Anthony family.

"There are stories and anecdotes that have never been published before -- not earth-shattering, but I think it adds another texture to the story," Fanning said.

Fanning started the book on the day after Casey Anthony was arrested in the murder in October. The author finished the more than 300-page work May 15.

The constant outpouring of documents made this book easier to write than others, Fanning said. "What was more difficult, I have never seen another case, except Lisa Nowak, where everyone had a lawyer and a publicist," the author said. "It's very strange to me, and it is odd to me that both cases happened in Orlando. I don't think it says anything about Orlando."

She also couldn't interview some of the major players, such as George and Cindy Anthony.

Fanning said she couldn't discuss her conclusion because lawyers are looking over the book before its publication.

"In all my books, there's an afterword, and I give my opinion," she said. "And it's there in this book."

For whoever was asking for what time the car was released it was 1:35PM. I am reading the tow yard owner's interview. The Anthony's had been there earlier, but had to leave to bring back cash. So they would have gotten home with the car about 2:00-2:15PM. jmo

I just cleaned out the fridge and freezer and while I double bagged the things I threw away, of course I was thinking about Caylee.  I realized that before reading here I would not have known about the maggots and how they grow or the "O" factor or how fluids are released from the body.  If this was a body I was bagging up, I would never dream of covering the mouth with duct tape or how long I could keep it in a trunk before things went wry.  There are so many things I wouldnt have known and I am old enough to be Casey's mom,  this is my first Rodeo.

Could it be that loose reporting has created the idea that we have a neighbor on record who heard a fight that night?  Article mentions Mark Fuhrman's assertion, which is presumably where the headline comes from.  It goes on to refer to a neighbor (presumably Couty) who has heard screaming fights in the past.  Article features a pic of Bailey Dickens (the one who is Casey's age; the son), but the pic/headline combo is misleading.  He is not the one who supposedly heard fights... Hmm...

You know what I find upsetting about George's remark....he didn't check on the baby before bed?  Really..I have 2 grands that live here ..and one comes each night at 11:30 after the night shift..even though I get up very early..I always check on her arounf midnight to be sure everything is okay..covers on, window not too far open.  If George loved her so much and Cindy too..why didn't they open the damn bedroom door and check on them?

I have been sitting here thinking of how bizarre all their reactions were from day one of the fight on Jume 15th.  So Cindy can't see Caylee because she is at the nanny's..which I would call a sitter.  Fine..if I wanted to see my Grandchild I would call the sitter and go there and see her.   If my child said the baby is in bed asleep..every time I called I say..I better call to see her at a different time of day...and if she lived us..wouldn't I know her sleep/wake schedule?  It is all so much BS from the get go with them..maybe the whole family thought of Caylee as a burden ..now that she was in the terrible two's..and no one wanted to deal with her anymore.   Meaning Casey did this..but no one pushed to hard to see this child for 31 days..when they are in the same general area?   This whole first part stinks more then what is going on now...JMHO.

I cannot reconcile that either. I really don't think anyone loved Caylee. It appears she was nothing but a burden.

Actually, Mission -- When I read what you said, I intended to go back and reply to it, but was digging through George's 8/4 transcript at the time and lost track of your post.

I intended to say that unless/until I see some official mention of a witness to the fight 6/15, and setting aside my respect for Mark Fuhrman for the moment, I'm going with what you said. 

I'm on the limb with you and Fanny, I am pretty sure Lee mentioned to LE that Cindy told him there was a bad fight, including the choking incident.  Can't recall at the moment whether he was certain that it ocurred on the night of 6/15.  But Lee was not a witness; he was not there that night.  Of course, if a fight DID occur on the night of the 15th, I do hope and expect that LE has good evidence on that.  There was a gap in Casey's cell activity around 9:25 or so, for about 40 minutes.  The fight could have occurred at that time, but we just don't have enough info IMO to know for sure what happened.

I will also add, please forgive me if I'm getting this wrong, but I could swear that very early on, Lenny said (maybe on a TV interview or on NG?) that CINDY herself had told him personally that she had gotten so mad at Casey at one point that she had her hands around Casey's neck.  (Anybody else remember this?)  But yes, I have heard Lenny say since then that Lee told him about the fight.

Yes, and this was my point of my last post. There are children dead and missing in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere, much less the world. The families need help getting the word out about their children and their killers or abductors. And the news channels are nothing but celebrity deaths and the devastation of their families. It grates me that whatever they have done in their lives, it should not overshadow our children. Where are our prioities??? I have turned my tv off.   ::MonkeyWaa::

The problem with me is we are supposed to be advocates for children for the most part here. I have enjoyed **'s music and dancing as much as anyone. However, this is the same kind of thing we see and try to change. And it chaps my azz because of the fact that a person has money and can pay off parents and witnesses, can pay for the best of the sleezy lawyers, not only one time but two, only to go on his merry way and get by with it! Now he is dead, and he is a hero! I can enjoy the music, remember the times that it brings back in my mind but it doesn't negate the rest of it in my view. I guess it just tore it for me when someone said "This is like the PRESIDENT dying. Not even close in my book. And surely not more important that Caylee being murdered or any other child abused or killed.  JMO

So true NoRose..the young are our future.  If we don't educate them, feed them, clothe them and give them a sense of personal value and worth.....then we are OUT OF LUCJ FOR THE FUTURE.

There is a reason nature prompts the normal people to nuture..to continue the species.  But with humans the nuture goes wrong..more so now then ever, and we are reaping what we have sown..every child matters, every child.  If we want a healthy society, then we need to raise mentally healthy children.....and those that don't need to be prosecuted..long before they kill their young.
