Jul 8, 6:16 PM EDT Product recalls, possibly salmonella-tainted The following recalls have been announced because the products may be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems: --- Vital Pharmaceuticals Inc. is recalling 17 lots of Stealth Chocolate and Stealth Vanilla powdered dietary supplement. No illness has been reported. The supplements were available nationwide. Details: by phone at 800-954-7904. --- Lewis Laboratories International Ltd. is recalling select lots of Weigh Down chocolate flavor nutrition drink mix. No illness has been reported. The recalled product has one distributor in New York and was sold online and through mail |
