Kanye Being Kanye: Rapper Interrupts Taylor Swift's VMAs Win

Kanye West is known for speaking his mind and early on during the VMAs, he didn't disappoint.

When Taylor Swift won Best Female Video for 'You Belong With Me,' Kanye jumped onstage, grabbed the mike from the country singer's hands and did what he does best.

"Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'm a [sic] let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time," he yelled, to many boos. Swift had beat Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' for the award. And according to an MTV source, Kanye is getting booted from the show for his actions. Watch It Happen

When the camera panned to the 'Ladies' hitmaker, Jay-Z's wife looked visibly mortified. Meanwhile, Swift stood silently on the stage.

To make matters worse, Swift had to perform the song shortly after Kanye's outburst.

Later on in the show, 'Single Ladies' was named Best Video of the Year, and when Beyonce accepted the award, she called Taylor on stage.


"I'd like for Taylor to come out and have her moment," she told the audience, allowing Swift to give her speech.

"Maybe we could try this again?" Taylor asked, and proceeded to give many thanks.

I thought I was immune to internet "surprises", but when googling this morning for information on the death of Annie Le, I received a whopping number of trojans and viruses all from one site, I believe. 

It was immediately apparent that Norton had blocked all of them, but even as that was happening, I was notified that my computer was infected....yuck!  I usually choose known websites, but I chose one that had an interesting headline...

Oh well...it will wake you right up....checking everything now and on second cup of coffee...so should be a better day.

Mere it happened to me yesterday too.  I read where the "bad guys" will take a name like Annie Le and set up sites to infect others with virus's.   ::MonkeyCool::

I saw your post back in the old thread.  Thank you for writing - I was so confused if I had read more into your post the other day or not.  So, I take it I was not going coo-coo!  I vowed to myself after a horrible situation where my voice was taken from me, not to ever allow that to happen again; and to help others voice what they can't and that is what I was trying to do when I thought I got the undertones in your post.  I went to bed feeling as if I had read your post wrong, but today having breakfast with the gals of musings and seeing your post lifted my spirit back up.  Thank you for having the courage to leave that message for me.  I can definitely tell you are a peacemaker at heart so that was perceptive of you to catch that I was feeling really bad and lonely.  I am believe it or not a peacemaker at heart to and for me sometimes I find that it is better to spill the penny jar so it can be seen in it's messy state, sorted and rolled back together with each penny working as part of the collection.  Okay, bad analogy maybe - but what do you want on one cup of coffee! LOL

Crystol had her blood done today - but he is sending it off to the lab in Cincinnati, but still should know tomorrow if liver values are still dropping.  The vet was so impressed at how well she is doing.  He was shocked that she acts so young when normal!  She was playful and bragging how well she was!

Patrick Swayze died after a nearly two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Swayze's publicist Annett Wolf says the 57-year-old "Dirty Dancing" actor died Monday with family at his side. He came forward about his illness last spring, but continued working as he underwent treatments.

It was 1987 when Swayze became a star with his performance in "Dirty Dancing," a coming-of-age story set in a Catskills resort in New York. The 1990 film "Ghost" cemented his status as a screen favorite.

Swayze played a murdered man trying to communicate with his fiancee through a spirit played by Whoopi Goldberg.

He kept on working even after it was disclosed in March 2008 that he had a particularly deadly form of cancer. He starred in "The Beast," an A&E drama series, and said he and his wife were working on a memoir.

Thanks Sassy and Trimm.  Guess what she is doing now?  She is babysitting ds lab puppy till Friday.  But, we picked up a Halti collar today and boy, what a difference in her ability to suddenly walk nice for grandma!  My son was amazed - he was getting so frustrated trying to teach her to walk nice.  We have tried harnesses, choker collars, treats and Ceasar Milano techniques and nothing worked till this!

For the most part, great news for Crystol Noel.  No signs of Cushings or Addison's disease!!!!!!!!!!!  Only the ALT was elevated.  This could be because of the damage to liver with the biopsy and the gallbladder removal, but is still down tons from the original numbers.  Dr. wants to stop the magic drug and retest in two weeks to see where it is at then.  EVERYTHING else came back in NORMAL - yes NORMAL range!  That is a party for us!

Now, we really need more activity here at night - I had to gulp my coffee as there was not enough pages for a lingering cup of morning brew!  Bearly won't have anything to retro on -  ::MonkeyWaa::

Hey numbers - how about you get over here and help me take Kiley to get her nails trimmed.  She is my son's black lab puppy - and I mean PUPPY and for some sadistic reason, I have decided to take her to get her nails trimmed today.  I just hope we all make it back and I am not in traction as a result! Still catching up, but the trip out with Kiley was going fine, till I looked away to sign the charge - she ate thru the Halti thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!  So, took it back.  Got the Gentle Leader - which adjusts so she supposedly can't eat this one.  Grandma thinks she will get son and Kiley the lab, doggie obedience school for his b-day! This lab is a trip.  She can open her cage, unhook her leash from the tieout (without eating it or breaking it - literally, she knows how to pull the bar and get out somehow) and does tons of tricks.  But, she is the "STRONG WILLED PUPPY!"  But, I will win............right?   ::MonkeyConfused:: ::MonkeyConfused::  Friday is not that far away, right? LOL

I have a sinus infection!  I feel like hell!  I had to go to a funeral this afternoon and was dreading going. Not only because I detest funerals but cause I feel like hell!  But I  played the martyr and went!  WOW....I have never attended a funeral like this one.

A little history: We moved to a small town in MO 2 years from Houston.  A small quiet area. Shortly after we moved here I notice a little old man going through trash cans on trash days. I watched him and realized he was collecting cans. I felt so bad for him. I started putting our cans in bags for him. (our area has no recycling) One day  I caught him outside and told him the cans were for him. He was very gracious and grateful.  He had a cart on wheels. So, as I got to know the neighbors I started asking them to please put their cans out for this elderly man. His name was Pops, according to him.  At Christmas I watched for him and gave him a basket of Christmas goodies. And often through these years I would meet him at give him glasses of tea or lemonade and goodies.  Yes, he even collected in the winter.  About 6 weeks ago Pops didn't come. I honestly noticed it but thought perhaps he just got tired of collecting. Last week I got an envelope in my mailbox informing me that Pops had passed away and asked if I would attend his funeral today. 

Well Pops had a list of people he wanted to be invited to his funeral. People were asked to bring canned goods in lieu of flowers to Pops funeral.  So, I bought a bag full of canned goods, a huge box of tissues and went to the funeral. Thinking the whole time, why in the hell am I doing this??  Upon arriving I find that Pops had been buried last Friday. Pops children, grands and great grands were at the funeral home as well as at least 100-125 people. All gathered in a viewing room with tables set up with sandwiches, baked goods, cookies, chips and soft drinks. Other people seemed as bumfuzzled as I was. Pops son asked for everyone's attention and told us that he was trying to fulfill Pops wishes. Pops collected cans and turned them in and bought food for the local Food Pantry. He also volunteered at the Food Pantry. Pops was a retired plumber who wanted to keep being 'useful' until he could no longer do anything. His son said he was 88 yo and I discovered he had been collecting cans for at leat the past 10 years.

His son, David, had an envelope for everyone there, with a hand written thank you note from Pops for being so kind to him and saving their cans for him. And for the other little things people did for Pops.  there was something personal to each person.  He told me he loved that I didn't lose my Texas roots.  David told us the whole family wrote the notes for Pops but he signed each one himself.  I have a HUGE Texas stepping stone near the mailbox and plant Bluebonnets every year. He asked that everyone carry on for him and donate to the local Food Pantry. He had lived thru the Depression and knew what it meant to be hungry. He knew how a man felt when he couldn't feed his family.

What a strange but wonderful afternoon!! Good Bye Pops!!  I will miss that old man!!

Hi Sassy...yes it was strange...but I will forever be glad I went.   Thanks I hope this infection goes far, far away!!  I do not like to feel unwell!! ::MonkeyTears::  not sick enough to be in bed and yet no well enough to have energy to do things!!

Hi Sunny!  I am sorry you're feeling under the weather, but thank you for sharing that story.  I think Pops would be proud that you posted the story for all of us to read.  What a great example of a giving, kind man...and what love and faith can bring to others.  It was really great that his family carried out his wishes.  And how cool that all of you who had been kind to him got to know the reason he was collecting those cans.  ::MonkeyAngel::

Hi carolb - thanks for reading it. I have to confess I don't donate to our local food bank unless there is a call out for help.  I donate monthly to our local SPCA and a animal rescue.  But I will make a point of taking non-perishables monthly from now on.

Hi numbers!! ::MonkeyDance::  thanks for the well wishes.  It was an experience I am so glad I didn't miss. I got a chance to talk with one of his granddaughters....she was telling me that Pops helped people for as long as she could remember and instilled giving to others to his whole family. This is IMO a perfect example of how we touch others daily and never even know it.

Butcie is doing good on his new meds. from the worlds best doctor. He still has all the fluid but the one meds. has almost stopped his coughing. Thank you CBB it was so sad. He wasn't sick at all. He was pretty old...his name is Peppie and he was a long haired black and white chihuahua. He crossed over the rainbow bridge the night before my birthday so it has been a rough couple of days. He was so sweet. he passed in his sleep. I will miss him so much. he was so tiny, but thought he was Huge and Bad. My 100lb rottie/dobbie mix and Butchie knew he ruled the house.

OMG, here's what happens.  If I ban someone that uses AOL I can't ban their IP.  AOL uses something sortof like regional centers so there could be 100+ members using the same IP.  Well, today I banned someone from SM and forgot about the IP thing.  So I banned a bunch of people along with them BY ACCIDENT.

SunnyinTx,  Thank you for sharing your story about Pops. It shows how one person can make a difference. It was very up lifting. After all the stuff we read on here at SM with the missing children and adults. It was heart warming to have such a winderful story to read. I am sure he is in heaven with all the other angels.

GE, thanks.  It was one of those times in one's life when they are glad they did the right thing. For me the right thing was to fulfill the commitment I made to going to the funeral. Believe me when I tell you I tried to talk myself out of it several times. But I finally gave in thinking this old man  probably didn't have a lot of friends or family...after all he collected cans, right. WOW, was I wrong. Tennis balls for pets get bad marks from watchdog group

HealthyStuff.org posted its data base today on more than 5,000 products, including pet products.

One half  of the tennis balls tested had detectable levels of lead. Tennis balls intended for pets were much more likely to contain lead. Sports tennis balls contained no lead.

That's important consumer info because we know how much dogs love tennis balls. To find out more about the ratings for balls check the website.

Another popular item, catnip toys, got better rankings.

One quarter of all pet products had detectable levels of lead, including 7% with levels higher than 300 ppm – the current Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) standard for lead in children's products.

11-year-old with bad report card fakes kidnapping

An 11-year-old boy faked his kidnapping Friday to avoid bringing home his bad report card, Huntsville police said.

The Ed White Middle School student claimed that a man in a red, beat-up car grabbed him after school at the intersection of Trail Ridge and Grizzard roads and forced him into the vehicle.

"I'm going to take you somewhere and kill you," the boy claimed the man said. The boy also said the man had a pistol.

The boy then claimed to have jumped from the vehicle - without his bookbag, which contained the report card - and run to his grandparents' house.

That's where the boy eventually confessed to making up the whole thing to cover for his bad grades. His grandfather called police to apologize and report the boy's story.

Police were first notified of a possible abduction involving the boy at about 4:20 p.m. - before he confessed.

But it's unclear who reported the kidnapping.

Sgt. Mark Roberts said police were suspicious of the boy's story when he was able to "escape" with his band instrument, but not his bookbag.

Roberts said the boy faces no charges at this time.

The whereabouts of the bookbag and report card are unknown.

i get so engrossed in all the U.S cases, praying for all the missing babies with you all etc and here we have issues close to my home that scare me just as much.

A man rapes his daughter for 30 years, fathers 4 of her children, SHE reports it, but doesn't want to press charges because she is 'scared' and they let him continue!  Her mother denies knowing anything.

I'm very upset with our Department of Human Services right now.

I'm just so shocked with this situation for this Australian woman.  It's unreal to me that the family have been in touch with community services and welfare for 30 years, she reported her abuse, but it was allowed to continue.  One of her 4 children fathered by her father, died.  All born in local hospitals.  Why was nothing done? Why do people decide its not their business?  Even when it is their ONLY business?
