Tipster says she was just a carrier for anonymous writer in HaLeigh case

Putnam County investigators are looking into the story of a woman who went to The St. Augustine Record buildingon Wednesday with a note that contains potentially critical information about HaLeigh Cummings' disappearance.

The blond woman, who wore blue scrubs and sunglasses when she came to the paper, told detectives on Friday that she dropped the anonymous letter off for someone else.

A spokesman with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said the woman came in voluntarily after learning that the police wanted to talk to her.


Investigators are not saying what information, if any, the woman was able to give them about the contents of the letter.

A video of the woman leaving the letter is posted on The Record's Web site and has been carried by television stations.

No information about the contents is being released until detectives are able to determine its authenticity.

HaLeigh Ann-Marie Cummings was 5 years old when she disappeared from her father's blue doublewide trailer in the Hermit's Cove area of Putnam County the
night of Feb. 9.

The daughter of Ronald Cummings and Crystal Sheffield has blond hair and brown eyes. She was 3 feet tall and weighed 39 pounds at the time of her disappearance.

Sheffield lives in Glen St. Mary in Baker County.

Cummings was working as a crane operator at PDM Bridge in Palatka the night of Feb. 9.

Misty Croslin, his girlfriend at the time and now his wife, was at home with HaLeigh and 3-year-old Ronald Cummings Jr.

Croslin told investigators that she put the little girl to bed at 8 p.m. because it was a school night. She said she last saw HaLeigh around 10 p.m. and went to bed herself between 10:30 and 11.

Croslin, 17, said she woke to get a drink of water shortly before 3:30 in the morning. She saw a light on in the kitchen. A cinderblock, or brick, had been laid against the back door, propping it open, she said.

She reported the disappearance to 911 Dispatch at the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at 3:27 the morning of Feb. 10, just as Cummings was getting home from work.

Busy weekend here as we have homecoming and my daughter's first homecoming dance (so cute), but I'm going to go crazy if Haleigh is not found this weekend!!

I don't think they gave Haleigh oxy intentionally.  A couple people pointed out that the cost is really high, like $60 a pill one poster said!  that's what they would earn selling it on the streets, I guess.

I went back and read the last couple of pages from the last thread and want to "chime" in, lol.

NO WAY is the tip letter lady Windchime.

Windchime is MUCH larger than the tip lady.  And the camera adds 10 pounds, they say, right?  No, WC is much, much, MUCH larger than that woman.

Do you feel that the reward money ...should still be paid to the tipster??

Is the 'envelope lady' delivering for the actual person involved...or for the 'tipster'.

I just can't get past the fact that this information has been held back for 8 months, why would someone do this.  Did they think maybe the 'reward money' would be higher than it is $35,000.  Of course the check payable to Ron for $35,000...is supposed to be his right???  So, the reward did not actually double, or do they think it did.

I know a reward is a reward...but this is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS...and  WITHOLDING INFORMATION and possible EVIDENCE ...I hope whoever it is land their behind in jail for a very long time, along with the culprit as well.

"I finally got an answer to my email from Mr. Prior. I will not quote it word for word, but will just say what he basically said in it.

Mr. Prior stated that he called Putnam County Sheriff's Office and was sent to voicemail twice. After failing to get to speak to someone there, he then called St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and they got someone (I assume he means Putnam County S. O.) to call him. He states that he told them what the letter said and was asked to fax a copy to them. Mr. Prior states that he did fax a copy to them. Whomever Mr. Prior spoke with at P.C.S.O. then called him back and asked if they could send an officer to pick the letter up. He asked if that person had a problem with him (Mr. Prior) sharing the letter with Ronald Cummings' lawyer and was told there would be no problem with that. Mr. Prior then told the person he was speaking with from P.C.S.O. that he would just bring the letter to them himself. He further states that he shared the information with Haleigh's mother's lawyer. I suppose he means Crystal, but did not mention her name; he just stated Haleigh's mother's lawyer."

Earlier, we tagged along while Cobra grilled Prevatt and White Boy Greg Page, 28, who joined Prevatt and Misty for a wild three day party that all told police ended early Sunday morning before Haleigh vanished. If what Nay Nay was confronted with is accurate–that after Haleigh accidentally took the pills and died, her body was tossed into a pond in a black plastic bag. Police found no evidence related to the case in the pond that was drained last weekend, according to The Putnam County Sheriff, but have had Prevatt’s car in an impound lot to be processed by the crime lab.

We were following Staubs when he alerted law enforcement they may want to search the car because Prevatt had also loaned it to Amber Brooks, who Ronald apparently left for Misty, and who is reported to have had a simmering resentment towards Misty.

After getting the car stuck in the woods, Prevatt told us Brooks made sure to clear out clothes from the trunk then doused a bluish or greenish liquid inside. That was months ago, long before investigators took the car in for ‘CSI shit,” as Nay Nay says, in her letter, to possibly look for Haleigh Cumming’s DNA that might show the child was possibly riding in it with Misty at one time, or was used to transport the body to the pond described in the affadavit referred to in the letter.

“Any forensic work is likely going to be useless if the trunk was cleaned out months earlier,” says Cobra, who appears to have been on the right track by sticking close to Prevatt, even bailing her out of jail once to keep her trust…and maintain a source he believed important to solve the Haleigh mystery…someone close to Ronald Cummings wife, Misty, who has turned out to be the key player, according to police, who believe she is holding back information that could help solve the case.

All I see is people playing games, liars, and I just am so skeptical of this new letter that the lady brought to the newspaper office, she is probably some kook with some psychic ability  ::MonkeyRoll::

I agree NoRose.  There is so much drama surrounding this cast of characters.  Can you imagine, if this ever goes to trial, how anyone will be able to believe any witnesses from this crew?  Most likely, the majority can be discredited as habitual liars.

From what I understand about the letter brought by Scrubs, the info was short and to the point on 'where' to find Haleigh, not about 'what' happened. 

But even so, am not so sure the motive in this is money, tho it sure could be!  Dunno... if I were out for the reward, I'd have called in the tip (to have my tip numbered) and left contact info.  Sounds to me like someone, whoever that is, got fed up and said enough!  As in the need to just have this whole thing done and over with. 

 

Is it just me or do you get the feeling PCSO doesn't seem to have much sense of urgency about this letter?  Strange beyond belief that is for sure.  ::MonkeyNoNo::

I was just writing the same thing Cookie, that I think the person writing the letter just wanted the information out there, but wants to remain anonymous, and thought this the best way to do it. And I'm really, really hoping whatever the note says, that it brings Haleigh home!  ::MonkeyAngel::

I dunno, seems to me LE moved with more urgency than usual with tips received.  In a lot of cases, by the time they've reached sev. thousands of tips, more tips often are received by a very bored operator.  In one case, I've seen the reports that operators have made when tips were called in.  Just briefly scrawled notes, some with comments from the operator.  lol 

At the least, LE with this tip, seems to have taken it seriously.  Which may turn out to be a very good thing.

Gizzie...am hoping that Haleigh will be found as the result of this letter...but there have been so many let downs on this case that I am not holding my breath on it....this case has made me so disgusted....from every person who is Haleigh's family, to the bloggers who have made up stuff about this case, to the LE, to the attorneys, Cobra, Art H., Geraldo etc... you name it...everyone it seems has been self serving and not putting Haleigh first...jmo....

Well, it could be a lie... on the other hand it could be a preemptive strike. If indeed this person fears discovery anyway, why not send a letter offering information in exchange for freedom and or reward money. In these situation the first person to turn gets the best deal or immunity.

If this report about the neighbor being asked about a well is true, then perhaps it leans creditability to the letter.  If the author of the letter knew about a well that LE didn't seem to know about, then the author knew something about the propery that LE didn't.

Neighbors said that detectives are back near Haleigh's home actively searching. Jim Batchelor said he pointed out the well they were asking about, but it turned up nothing.

This is the first I've read that mentioned.  Hope it wasn't just an afterthought by Mr. Prior, just tossing the mention of it into that supposed email above, without having actually done so. 

And what's with his saying "Ronald Cummings lawyer" .. and ..  "Haleigh's mother's lawyer"!!!   WTH?  Like he cannot bring himself to mention her name, Crystal? 

Why wouldn't he have simply asked if he could share the letter with the lawyers of both of Haleigh's parents, Ron and Crystal.  Just makes me think he only asked about sharing it with Ron's attorney, period. 

Or did he mean Misty, and if so, should have said, "Haleigh's STEPmother's lawyer"?

Seahorse, In this case, I think anything is possible.  There are too many unanswered questions & not enough reliable information coming out.

I don't believe any of it  ::MonkeyNoNo::  And Mr Prior should have kept his big mouth shut, if you ask me. Get the volatile letter to the police and then drop it, another one in it for 15 minutes of fame.

Mr. Prior could very well have misinterpreted the WORDING DIFFERENTLY THAN PCSO.  Until the letter is actually posted....we have nothing sound to say if it indicated or stated...WHERE or WHAT.

I think the same thing Rose,  I think they put her somewher after the threatening phone calls came in from Timmy and with everything thats going on with her family and the investigation into Haleighs dissapearance, Im sure they thought she needed to be somewhere safe, away from GGM Sykes and Jr.also, I think her lawyer insisted she be put somewhere and told Ronald it would be best to get her away from Jr. before papers was filed to protect his remaining son and remove him from his custody....I think the whole Ronald Misty fighting thing is just a line to get people thinking that Ronald is no longer having anything to do with Misty so people wouldnt bother him and jr and Granny Sykes either...

Wyks, I read the same thing about the letter that you just stated, we will know more soon, the newspaper guy said that they might publish it at some point in the future, I hope they dont until LE says its ok to do so.........

Where in the world does it make sense for someone to turn in a tip about a missing child and the POI's being informed of what it says before it is checked out? Just seems to me to give someone an opportunity to maybe tamper with things. I keep a headache trying to figure out how stupid these people can be. Where is the FBI or somebody?

I think this should have been done before now, she needs to be away from everyone and think things through IMO...as long as LE knows right where she is and what she is doing at all times, this is probably for the best, it shows me that just maybe something is about to happen.....

I agree, they must all be crazy in that neck of the woods, why not just drive over to Satsuma and hand the letter to the cops there and leave........good Lord some people are just crazy!!!

I don't know why, but I keep thinking just maybe she knows she may be going away, and is enjoying her freedom while it lasts.

I have been hassling with this problem for about 2 months now, and it took me forever to type a message reply...as could not see what was going on the screen.

It's hard to stomach the way these ppl. act but I agree with you that maybe she's seeking a protective place not because she needed to get away from her "comfort zone" but prolly RC's patience was wearing thin with all the latest Croslin tales, even under a normal loving relationship, the seeds of doubt woud have to start cracking the shell. With his temper a smart girl is gonna find a safer place way further than his outstretched fist.

I still wonder about her answer on the poly that supposedly was partially decep[tive..did she know who killed Haleigh ( i'm pretty sure that was the question)  if she was as zoned out from the previous weekends party, the kids were eating outside, maybe MC was smokin weed inside or took a nap, the kids are still outside in the dark. At some point, she drags her azz out to find that Haleigh is gone.  She hops into the van ( that later has the dent/scratch) to look for her meanwhile TC is banging on the trailer, RC's calling.  Now, being the streetwise girl that she is, she knows that the truth about the matter is probably going to have all of her teeth and more busted by RC, she props that door open and the blanket stories and by the time the media decends, she's a victim too.

It's just soo hard for me to think that if she intentionally killed her or even accidently did it and help from her friends/family to clean up, dispose of body and evidence that none of them told anyone else and that by some miracle nobody had the guts to turn a tip in for the reward money. With a collective mentality of about 70, no way.

IMO   Misty knows what happened.  I know this theory isn't new but I'm not sure that I think MC is smart nuff to murder,cover tracks,have loyal-to-the end friends and so on but "holding something back" that is the key to it all yeah

Was hoping to see a definitive answer as to whether that Windchime person is one and the same as Scrubs and don't see one, but perhaps I missed it.  She sure as heck looks the same to me based on shape of nose, shape of mouth, etc.  And I guess if she is one and the same, then the letter's probably a bunch of bunk!  Too bad .. was hoping for a break in the case.  At least now LE has her name .. and maybe a whole lot more on her!

Looks like Lisa C still being provided for by the State of Tennessee.  Good time for her to catch up on any medical care she might need, maybe enroll in a class on Shakespeare.  Or maybe a dental tech class?

I’ve received a lot of emails asking about where I know where Misty Croslin is. The answer is yes. She is staying with a “friend” near Tampa and she is currently in Coco Beach. She is not in contact with Ronald or anyone else I her family. The police know exactly where she is at all times. I am getting updates on her whereabouts but have to be careful about what I post as I would never want to interferer with an ongoing investigation. I will report what I can as it comes in. Remember she 17, she has no job and no money. She is away from her support system. It’s getting close

I am discounting that letter, if it has any merit she would have sent it to Satsuma.
I hope she isn't misleading the investigation, having all the flower beds dug up around
the M.H. because of a wimp. IMO

I think it was said in that article, and we've heard it from Art too, that LE knows exactly where Misty is at all times.  Wonder how?

And, I'm fairly inept at this techie stuff, but I don't see a "tools" thing in my right hand corner.  Does that apply with AOL as well?

I'm not sure in AOL but I do know that once you log into AOL you can go into the internet without the AOL screen.  The direction for the tools is if you are using IE8 as your browser.  Right now you are using whatever the AOL browser is.

She says she heard an obviously irritated Misty scream for Haleigh to hurry up, then slap one of the boys.

Stunned she says she turned to boyfriend, Jerry Santos, a local businessman and little league coach, who was there to pick up their children. He didn’t see the alleged slapping, he tells me, but did see Misty behind the wheel, and Haleigh get off the bus and climb in with her.

Both Ronald Cummings and his mother, Teresa Neves, have claimed separately they picked up Haleigh that last Monday afternoon, but at least three parents tell me they only saw Misty at the bus stop. I thought that Sykes had some clean clothes for the kiddos. We don't know where Ron was the weekend Misty was out having fun without him, but seeing as he relies on the GM Neves and GGM Sykes for child care, she probably had them. It was never mentioned if anyone who was in the vehicle got out and spoke to the kids or Misty. Maybe it was just a drive by drop off.
I do that, just drop stuff off and the kiddos do that here. But if any kids are with the DD or SIL , I speak to the kids and get my hugs and kisses. Even if it's a sixty second " visit ".

According to Florida statutes when Misty married Ron, she became an emancipated minor and is considered to be an adult. She cannot vote until she is 18 nor can she legally drink until age 21. Ms. Neves could be sued for neglect?  Could Crystal sue Ms. Neves for neglect?  Was Ms. Neves and an Aunt, suppose to "help out" in custody papers?  Misty was a minor and Ms. Neves is the adult, (who was supposely) in charge of overseeing the childrens care with  Ronald. This sounds to me it CYA with Ronald's Mother, she may be in doo doo, if she wasn't living up to her promise on court papers, if is true that she  promised the court that she would oversee or help out with the kids?  IMO

The letter, dated September 18, was allegedly written by Kristina Prevatt, an acquaintance of Misty Croslin and Ronald Cummings, Haleigh's father. Already in the county jail for several offenses, Prevatt alleges that she was questioned by Putnam County detectives about the Haleigh Cummings case. The letter, which was released to Sky 97.3 FM News Talk radio station in Gainesville, also alleges that another inmate, Joe Pytko, was questioned, and he presented Putnam County detectives with a sworn statement that Misty Croslin took both Cummings' children, Haleigh and 3-year-old Ronald Jr., to a party, where Haleigh accidentally took some Oxycontin and died. Now in white letters over the show it's stating that A civil authority has issued a child abduction emergency for the following counties/areas Oakland, Monroe, Macomb, Wayne, Lenawee and Washteaw at 2:31 pm on Sep 26, 2009 effective until 8:20 pm.

That's it! What the heck does this mean?? It's not an Amber Alert, there are no details about any child missing. What is a child abduction emergency and why say a civil authority???

My wife and I receive a good deal of Email traffic on the subject of missing children, a subject that should be the exception rather than the rule. Alas missing children seem to have become the latest ‘hot’ criminal item. One of the grumbles that Jan and I hear are that we only cover certain cases. Well, there is a good reason, we have limited resources, and there unfortunately are only 24 hours in the day!

We like to cover a story as well as we can.



Haleigh Cummings was the next missing child that Blogger News got involved in. Having invested seven months and who knows how many hours into this case, all I can say is, I am damn glad I am not related to any of the dysfunctional idiots that are family to these escapees from the movie Deliverance!

I think it would be fair to say that the combined IQ’s of the Cummings and Croslin family’s could not gain entrance to MENSA. Most of them run around with IQ’s that match their hat size!

We hope that Haleigh Cummings is still alive and well. I talk to people daily on this case. One day I will share some of the information. But not until we find Haleigh Cummings.

NoRose..that's a smart idea.  I would think, hope, that LE has searched ALL the places of the people connected to this case but I find myself wondering.  I know that this is a small department but on the other hand, they don't have many little girls go missing so it seems like they could devote the resources to search everywhere thoroughly.

I know it's hard with all the ponds and lakes but your idea....makes perfect sense.

And look at Caylee....for all the driving around Casey did, they found her very near where Casey lived.  I think it's usually that way.  Especially since Misty didn't own a car.  I don't know.  I hate to criticize LE but in my opinion they have seemed to just REACT to any tip etc instead of formulating some logical guesses based on profiling etc.

Anyone else feel that way?

I still can't get the fact out of my head that the search dogs went to the water first, the morning she went missing. But on a serious note, I just can't see Ron 'allowing' her to get away.  He's just not the type.  So I really do wonder if she is in police custody...but that seems far out to me, too.  I just can't figure this out.

One thing that makes sense is that maybe he WANTS her out of town because she is getting too yappy after the lie detector/voice analysis....or that he's worried that if she's around and the press keeps questioning her, she will crack and that would not be good for him.

BooMonkey the same thing happened here last week or week before last. While I was sitting here on the forum the civil alert came on the television a couple of times. I waited for a followup and none ever followed. I searched for an amber alert in my area via the web, found nothing.

I asked my husband the next morning if he had heard anything regarding an Amber Alert and he informed me that there was news of a teenage girl being abducted by an angered ex-boyfriend at knifepoint. So I guess that was what it was all about.  ::MonkeyEek::

Most diffidently.  I have always had it in the back of my mind that the problem with this investigation is there is NOT a serious effort (due to inadequate resources or maybe because of connections with people involved) to coordinate and bring a final conclusion to this abduction.  Lets get real here, look what they are dealing with.  Those involved cannot be that smart (nor dumb) to outwit the LE.  If so, then that county has more problems then they will ever be able to deal with and HaLeigh is lost forever.     JMO

For all you Monkeys waiting on a ride to Satsuma, when Ronnie didn't return my calls, I called my buddy Greg.  Sure enough, he loves to hang out and party and thought it would be real 'citing to load up the car with Monkeys.  But sadly, we blew a tire on I-4 on our way to get Tracy.  Big ole Trooper came along, and at first he was real friendly (think he spotted that tattoo I mentioned earlier), but well, sure enough, he got suspicious and frisked me.  Well, hell, course I had to tell him it was WBG that had had me stash the stuff, and he just up'd and arrested him .. no more questions asked.  I just got back from hitching all the way back to my place.  Y'all go on without me, Monkeys ... I gotta see if I can round up some bail money.  $50K for a little pot and pills ... can you believe that????

IMO, it's gonna get confusing if they don't say from the get-go that it's an Amber Alert.  Or is 'Civil Alert' used until the known details fit the requirements for an Amber Alert?  Have heard of several gone missing but no Amber Alert issued right away because of those 'requirements'.

What it seems to me, this watermarking of Haleigh's pictures, *IF* those pics have not been sold by her family/friends, it's about exclusive ratings.  As in 'I got the pics before you did, neener neener'. 

IMO, the only folks with the right to 'watermark' Haleigh's pics, are her own family members.

And if Haleigh's pics are watermarked by her family, they 'ought' to be watermarked only with THEIR watermark, not NGs, or AHs, or anyone else's.  To have NG's watermark on them, for example, tells me that those pics were bought and paid for, plain and simple, by NG.

Wondering what you think ... I caught a post here earlier than mentioned Misty's hypnosis and the possible four people she "dreamed" about.  JoeP apparently alleged party at Chad's.  So, Chad, Misty, NayNay and WBG. And allow for one more in case the four don't include Misty.  But one of the things that has thrown me is that WBG supposedly passed a poly.  Well, now I come to think that Misty also thought she'd passed her poly.  Maybe PCSO's polygrapher just lets everyone THINK they've passed their poly.  That would make a certain amount of sense.  Meantime maybe behind the scenes they are taking the real results and trying to work theories based on the questions failed.  It's probably not in LE's interest sometimes to let people know they've failed.  Maybe they've been working all these months to nail down this party and when NayNay writes letter they think they finally have something and so decide to drain that pond.  Then Tommy cracks.  Then WBG busted and released very quickly .. maybe he's being very cooperative now.  Any other theories on how this scenario might work? ::MonkeyConfused::

On the where to look for Haleigh question of earlier today ... my two cents ..

If JoeP is correct and there was a party at Chad's, then the only reason I see for Misty not being in the car with WBG as he dumped Haleigh is because it was getting close to the end of RC's regular shift and that Misty was probably frantic that she had to hurry home before he got there.  So, I'm thinking in that case, there's lots more ponds out there by the Mondex that need to be searched.  Unfortunately, given the gators, I think LE is going to have to break someone in order to get a fixed area to search.  If Haleigh's dead and in one of those ponds, there's maybe only a few bones left to tell the tale (sorry if too graphic!).

If the party was at Misty's, then they've had looked for the easiest place where they weren't apt to be seen.  River may have been too open for them.  But, my guess is some body of water.

If Misty alone, then she had to be pretty resourceful, and quite frankly, I can't think what she might have done.  She strikes me as type that doesn't operate much on her own, so I'm thinking someone got a call from her asking for help.  Seems like phone records would have turned that up.  This scenario has me very puzzled how she'd pull it off.

If Tommy did it after finding her passed out cold, then we're back to just about any body of water with vehicle access.  If JoeO did it, same thing.

I'd think the family would be very happy to have Haleigh's photos out there in order to help keep awareness of her out there and help find her.

Having said that, I do believe Art Harris makes money from his site and does watermark images he uses (I have always had a personal issue with that.)

But if it is true that the family is making an issue over Haleigh's photos being shown now would make me think of the Anthonys. And when I think of the Anthonys, it is never a good thought.

Very difficult to establish comfort zones when I am having difficulty establishing home zones. I have a minimum of 20 addresses of all these players. Teresa being at the top of the list. No location for her in Pomona Park at time of crime, oh well.

I thought we read somewhere that an alleged employee of PDM stated that PDM does not offer overtime to new employees.  Ronald had only been there six weeks iirc.  Sorry my response is just another question and is not more help.

Brandi, am not sure who is making an issue over Haleigh's photos.  All I do know is that her pics were freely shared by family before, and then NG watermarked the newest ones.  AH watermarks everything that he posts, and has for awhile.  Could be the issue is between AH and NG?  lol..  Would be interesting, and telling, if we ever find out who started the issue. 

But I agree, if it's the family at this point, will be just like the A's.   

IMO, there's several things in this case that have put me in mind of Caylee's case.  Sad enough as Haleigh's case is, it will be sadder yet if it's a copycat case.

At best, Clarice, what we've gotten from LE and Ron himself, plus his attorney, are conflicting reports.  So we just don't know for certain about those hours.  Very confusing.. and frustrating.

Well, as I'm speculating again this evening on all kinds of things ... that video of RC and MC and their fond farewell as she left for ah ... the beach, Orlando, Universal Studios, to stay with a friend outside Tampa, or Cocoa Beach ... even if it might have been a put-on for the cameras ... still seemed a bit too fond for me to believe that .. at least at that time .. they were fighting.  And a bit too happily "playful" for her to have been entering protective custody, 72-hour Baker Act, or any kind of rehab.  Also, I cannot fathom Misty's attorney letting her undergo another lie detector, whether he set it up or not.  And I sure don't see him letting any authorities taking control of her.  The bit about Universal, although disgusting, almost has the truest ring to it.  That pat on her butt ..  sorta like they were enjoying the plan that he'd sneak out of town later and meet her.  Just can't understand why they would not have left together, though.

I will say, some how, some way, it may have been a set up by him to get her away from him.

One thing my gut tells me is that there is NO way, NO how, that RC lets Misty go off by herself or with a friend to "clear her head".  He ain't that type. 

And as to what's she's doing now and whether he's taking her calls, that's the $64 question, ain't it!

Anyway, I liked it better when she was in town!

To me, the reason the selling of pictures would matter is because the money could be better spent on private investigators, divers, cadaver dogs etc...than spent on vacations, if indeed this is what has just transpired.  Not saying it has, just saying "IF" it has.  If this were my child or grandchild missing I might mortgage my soul to find her, as I know most of you would also.

Thanks to all who answered my questions about T Neves' boyfriend. Sometimes LE will have businesses on the side, and I really didn't know. Unfortunately, LE jobs usually don't pay very well and most have to work extra jobs to just get by. Thanks again.  ::MonkeyAngel::

Here's something we likely won't hear about in the news...

On the scanner today, a little after 1p, a woman went into the jail lobby and said she wanted to talk to an officer about Haleigh. 

It went out over the scanner, because all available officers were out on patrol etc, and the dispatcher was requesting that an officer return, to speak with this woman. 

Four and a half hours LATER, an officer is wrapping up his detail, and requesting over scanner, info on where this woman was at, to meet with her.  Was told that she was still waiting in the jail lobby. 

WTH??? 

This tells me that things must be hopping (behind the scenes, so to speak), for all the officers to be too busy to speak with this poor woman that was kept waiting for so long. 

IMO.

I don't know whether this case is or is not a priority OR if there's tons of activity going on that isn't being reported, which is using up all of the LEO's manpower.   Not sure how many are working this case.  Gosh, for all we know, they may have an LEO tailing Misty and one tailing Ron at the moment.  lol

Well, apparently there have only been 4 arrests since 8:30 this morning.

Well, yes, I guess that could go either way.  But why not send even the least officer into the lobby to see what it is she wants to relay to them or who it is she wants to talk to.  I can't believe she waited there that long!!! (Unless, behind the scenes they relayed to detectives that the lady is their usual neighborhood quack wanting to give her weekly confession to a crime she didn't commit .. never know what whackos they are dealing with!)

There was no news to us.

Geraldo stated that the letter from the scrubs woman depicted suspicious activity involving Haleigh's own family. (Speculation, since the contents have not been revealed.)

Art and Joe (a criminal defense attorney on the show) believe an arrest is imminent in the next week or two.

That is all I got out of it.

And that's really nothing new to us monkeys.

The way Geraldo came off, it sounded as if he was saying or insinuating Ron is involved, plus Ron's family members are either involved or covering for Ron and Misty.

And he also insinuated that the letter delivered by the lady in scrubs has something to do with something that went on behind the mh at 202 Green Ln.

AH did not confirm or deny the latter. AH stated that he was not privy to the contents of the scrubs lady's delivered letter.

PS I did catch the Geraldo segment tonight & behind the puter screen I've spent a ton of time like so many of you going over this case & others, our victims never leave my mind for too long.   "Whoraldo" is nothing but a sensationalist inserting his opinion for ratings & drama.  He inflames situations on purpose & is usually late on the cue, snit us monkeys could have done a far more respectable & knowledgeable segment on this case with integrity.  It seems to me that many from the media read our forum - its become quite obvious.  While everyone is entitled to their opinion & belief at the same time I cannot value his in the slightest in this case, the Anthony case or any for that matter.  What he did with Ron only caused backs to go up against the wall & he was asked to leave by officials, the same disruptive behavior occurred when he helped stage Casey Anthony's defense team's show at the recovery crime scene to accuse the State prosecution of foul play that did not exist, both incidents working against justice being served in these cases.   Ron may very well be more involved than being an irresponsible parent with a hot temper & tainted past but what Geraldo did was not helpful in the slightest in finding out the truth.   In the 70's he showed promise of being a decent investigative journalist after leaving practicing law (for whatever reason I'd love the dirt on), but in the end he's turned out to be a walking joke of a tabloid - he does an injustice to every active criminal investigation.   He absolutely infuriated me when he drew a mock map in the sand while in Iraq, not in the slightest concern that his conduct could put our soldiers in harms way (my son included).

Admittedly, I'm a bit frustrated like so many of us.  For that matter, although we are all grateful for any information that can lead to knowing what happened to Haleigh & bringing the person(s) responsible to justice, I've even begun to question a few others including "media sources" as to what they are reporting and how.  I've personally spoken to people involved in criminal cases over the years but you must weigh what can or should be discussed publicly & what is factual or not before "putting it out there" & in what manner.  There should be an accountability when the safety and/or reputation of others & justice are paramount, not personal agendas, monetary gain or 15 minutes of second hand fame.   I'm absolutely irate over internet numskulls putting things out there that are either not true (ex:  body found when it wasnt) OR divulging private info that is more harmful than helpful given the many considerations one should contemplate while a criminal investigation is active.  While many have the best of intentions I'm afraid this case has gone through more muddy waters than an ATV in the swamp!

ITA Capp - it is almost as if unless you see something with your own eyes in this case you can't believe anything.  So frustrating, and Whorealdo makes me absolutely sick - I cannot watch him he is a media whore and will stoop to whatever level if it will benefit him and only him. NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Haleigh Cummings’ step-grandmother has been arrested in Tennessee.

According to Nashville newspaper The Tennessean, police and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents arrested Lisa Croslin on a fugitive from justice warrant Thursday. She was wanted in Florida on forgery and theft charges.

Croslin is the mother of Misty Croslin Cummings, whom police said was the last person to see Haleigh, 6, when she disappeared in February from her bedroom in Putnam County.

Authorities said the charges against Misty’s mother are not related to the case of the missing girl.

Meanwhile, editors at the St. Augustine Record and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office are still trying to determine the legitimacy of a letter given to the newspaper earlier this week that could shed new light into Haleigh’s disappearance.

The associate editor would not reveal the contents of the letter, but said if the information was true, it could be a new twist in the case.

Woman with tip visits sheriff's office

A mystery woman who dropped off a tip in St. Johns County on Wednesday about missing child Haleigh Cummings identified herself to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

The woman arrived at the sheriff's office at 2:15 p.m. Friday wearing blue scrubs and a blonde braided ponytail. She told the receptionist she believed detectives wanted to speak to her about a typed letter she left anonymously at the St. Augustine Record newspaper's front desk. Her visit there was recorded on a security videocam.

Rick Ryan, chief investigator of the sheriff's office, met her in the sheriff's office lobby and walked her across the parking lot to another building to be questioned.

"She is the messenger bringing the information from someone else, and we are following up on the information," Capt. Dick Schauland, spokesman for the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, said. "What it amounted to was the tip she gave us needed clarification."

Schauland said this is just one of more than 4,000 tips the sheriff's office has received.

The sheriff's office isn't revealing the woman's name or the information contained in the letter.

"We don't want to mess up any type of criminal investigation that may happen down the line. However, if it will help find Haleigh we will certainly release anything," Schauland said.

The information has "no connection whatsoever" to another recent letter written by an acquaintance of Haleigh's stepmother, Misty Croslin-Cummings.

Haleigh was reported missing by Croslin-Cummings at 3:27 a.m. on Feb. 10.

Now married to Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, Croslin-Cummings was babysitting Haleigh and her brother, Ronald Junior, when she says she awoke to find Haleigh gone.

Investigators have said Croslin-Cummings has been inconsistent in her accounts of what happened that night and she may be the key to the investigation.

HaLeigh Cummings case: Nancy Grace to examine Misty’s story

Next week on Nancy Grace's show, the HLN host will focus on the search for 6-year-old HaLeigh Cummings.

According to Hal Boedecker, Grace will examine Misty Cummings, the missing girl’s stepmother. Misty was babysitting HaLeigh and her little brother the night the Florida girl disappeared.

Earlier this week, a letter was released that indicated little HaLeigh had died after ingesting drugs she found at a party attended by Misty.

On Tuesday, her paternal grandmother, Teresa Nieves dispelled such reports, stating her granddaughter didn’t like to take any sort of medicine. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department also dismissed the letter as not being credible.

In the meantime, a woman who dropped off a letter to a newspaper that allegedly holds a ‘tip’ to what happened to HaLeigh has come forward and law enforcement are investigating the information in the letter. To see video of the woman, click here.

Great.... So she can repeat the same footage over and over and over......

TN making that statement about Oxycontin and Haleigh refusing medications is very naive.  Most people who abuse Oxycontin crush it and snort it -or drink it in a beverage.  She could have easily picked up someone's drink and got a dose.   And how does TN know the pill is bitter? The tablet is sold with a coating.  IMO, sounds like she might have tried to crush it herself.

Sorry if this is a repeat. It looks like there is a second letter from Nay Nay (maybe the one to her Mother?)

BNN Exclusive - Haleigh Cummings – Another Jail House Letter Surfaces

There have been some rumors floating around about the Haleigh Cummings case for a couple of days, I opted not to publish them without some firm back up. Well I have the proof now. My good friend, investigator William ‘Cobra’ Staubs has managed to find what no one else could. Some people have been casting doubts about Cobra’s involvement in the search for Haleigh Cummings, I can assure you that there is no one working harder on this case than he is.

The PSCO has made various conflicting statements about how seriously they took the jail house letter from Nay Nay Prevat. In fact at least one of the (way too many) people going on record have stated that it was complete rubbish, and went on to chastise the press for even fooling with it. Well, if that first letter was rubbish, why did PCSO go to such great lengths to drain the Mondex pond? Interesting that the letter turned up the very same day.

This second letter is also interesting, and no doubt will have Putnam’s finest reaching for the bottle of Tums. In fact the hot rumor is that Tums are in short supply in Palatka, the stores can not keep them on the shelves!

This second letter has a couple of interesting aspects to it, once again we have a reference to Misty being at a party the night that Haleigh Cummings went missing. A claim that Nay Nay denies in the letter. However it is the wording that I find interesting:

"The detectives been interrigating me about Haleigh again. They said that Joe (the guy that Donnie knows that was going to sell me that Cadilac) told the detectives that me, Misty, Whiteboy Greg, and Ronalds kids were at Chads and Haleigh got a hold of some pills died and Whiteboy put her in my trunk and we dropped her off in a pond!" (spelling and grammar per letter - Editor)

Also interesting is her comment concerning the police:

"They went and got my car from the junk yard and are doing some CSI shit with it."

Also, I didn't see her tell her mom that she was at Donnie's - just that the story is a lie.

ITA~I said the sme thing myself.......i was prescribed oxycontin after I injured my bck in a car accident, it's coated pretty well as it is time released and I gather if you crush it you must get the entire effect of the dose that should be delivered over 12 hrs all at once. I never crushed any so I don't know personally how bitter it would be, however I did look it up and that is what is stated in the RX journals............odd that TN would know that, she would have had to have crushed one herself to have stated tht. ::MonkeyTongue::

I have to say I don't remember that, if he said that he could also be saying that, for getting mixed up with Misty, he seems to have a nice mother, at least it appears from the little I read, and maybe he is asking for her forgiveness, or he has done something terrible and that is why. For some reason, again just a feeling, I don't think WBG did anything to Haleigh  ::MonkeyConfused::

If the pill was in a drink, yes then I can see a horrible accident occuring if a child would drink it. I have had those pills, but I had to use a pill cutter and cut it into fours, and only take a fourth of a pill at a time. I can't imagine a child drinking say a whole crushed pill in a drink  ::MonkeyShocked::

It wouldn't be so hard for her to overdose.  A high end dose of oxycodone for a child (approx 40 lbs) is 2.7mg and this would be for a child who gets pain medication all the time (have developed a tolerance).  The smallest Oxycontin is 10mg ---the largest is 160mg.  Even if she got a partial amount of crushed pill it could kill her.

Not to say this is what happened.  But is is plausable.

I don't think that WBG had anything to do with Haleigh's disappearance either..

for the record, I don't believe that Haleigh died with the overdose scenario...jmo...respect to others who do see or believe that his is what happened to her....
I just don't think that this amount of people could keep from telling someone what happened if Haleigh died at a party from an over dose...some one from that crowd would have a conscience for this little child and would tell someone else imo....not everyone is Satsuma is heartless and surely there is at least one good soul who would come forward if for no other reason than to give Crystal and perhaps even Ron that comfort of knowing what really happened to their child...and to relieve their own conscience for keeping this secret all these months..
again, just my opinion, but I am not buying any of this overdose story...

Poor Misty.. on 'vacation' almost a week now, with nothing but the clothes she had on when she left.   ::MonkeyTongue:: 

That's one reason am thinking she's been in rehab, or in protective custody.  Somewhere that she didn't need one or more changes of clothes, because everything she needs (incl clothes) would be provided.  Only other thing I can think of is that once the reporters/cams left last Monday, Misty was snuck back in.
