This is getting to be too frequent and very sad.

OT I didn't see Nancy Grace and was going to ask some monkeys what they thought of the part of her show about Shaniya, but from the comment I just saw on Shaniya's thread, Nancy didn't give it much effort.  Bless little Shaniya, and I pray she is found safe and soon.

Mom, boyfriend, 2 other children and 1 female were present at time of disappearance. All have been questioned all day. They cannot return to home because of sewage problems. Police have some leads and POI's of interest. News conference at 10am Wed. ::MonkeyMad::

Yes, I like that particular picture of Haleigh for just the reason you mentioned.  However, CBB provided the picture with artwork for the O/P.  I love to see the pictures of children the  are so  happy and full of life.  I think it's important to put a face with a name.  The children are real, and it's important they aren't just a number or a statistic, or known as the little girl missing from Satsuma etc.  But it makes my heart heavy sometimes when I look upon the pictures and wonder where they are, and if they will be found.   ::MonkeyAngel::

Police searching for suspects who stole, wrecked victim's car

olice in Palatka are looking for a pair of burglars who attacked a 45-year-old woman when she woke and found them in her home early this morning.

The woman's car was stolen after she was beaten severely in the face and head and her attackers demanded money in the Redbud Lane home invasion that occurred between 1 and 2 a.m., according to the Palatka Police Department.

Before the attack was reported, a police officer spotted the car and recognized the driver as a 16-year-old who did not have a driver's license. After a chase, the 2005 Chevrolet crashed into a power pole and two people fled from the vehicle. The suspects had not been found this morning.

As the officer was reporting the chase, the woman called to say she had been attacked.

Police want to question Michael Galan, 16, of Palatka and a second suspect. Anyone with information about the case can call the Palatka Police Department at (386) 329-0115.

All kinds of stuff goes on in and around Palatka, but we still don't know the answer to the all important question:  Where is Haleigh?  ::MonkeyAngel::

Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville police battled the rain Wednesday as they continued to search for a 5-year-old girl who disappeared from her home early Tuesday.

WRAL News has confirmed that investigators recovered a blanket that is believed to belong to Shaniya Nicole Davis from a neighbor's garbage can. The neighbor, Andrea Moore, said she doesn't know how the blanket wound up in the bin and said police told her the blanket belonged to the missing girl.

ive been away my uncle passed away, and i had to settle  his estate and make the funeral arrangements, then i got the swine flu. been real blah ya know.
im no where near catching up on the threads, i was wondering, are we sure M C is in
TN. my eyes got back to me and he/she ,said no sign of her so far, at or near the addys
i sent to him/her. he/she only has X amount of time to look see,as he/she works and
lives, across town opposite of the addys. if something turns up ill let you know

About Misty, all I know is that she had been reported to have gone to TN to visit her grandmother. We never heard anything about her visit or if she has returned to Satsuma.

I, too, was surprised that we never heard of any run-ins with the law there by now. Especially if she is still there.

The concert held in Austin, was to say the least, a bust, according to Sam Watkins, only two tickets were sold. With a case as high profile as Haleigh Cummings, I find that surprising. As Sam pointed out, the Haleigh story was known from coast to coast, even internationally. That much I can attest to we received emails and comments from many countries about the Haleigh Cummings case...

Wonder if Misty will ever resurface in Satsuma?  Does she have a means of support in Satsuma?  Would she be able to find employment other in the oldest profession?  I can't imagine Misty lasting very long at her grandmothers' houses.  Probably not even with either of her parents.  Perhaps she has useful contacts in Satsuma.  Of course the Nashville area provides much more for her if she can key into it.  I hope she will not need the services of the world's second-oldest profession (lawyers).   

The entire line seems to make good mothers who have worked hard for years caring for and teaching their children morals just shake their heads in shame because they have to share that title with them.

I'm not CW but, my daughters both had it and one was hospitalized with swine flu & pneumonia, the other one (ScareyCarrie) wasn't hospitalized but she wasn't getting better very quick so the Dr said drink 8 oz fluids an hr. and she got better really fast

I guess plenty of liquids works.  Sorry to hear about your daughter being hospitalized, my friend died recently from the Swine Flu.
It is noted if she survived (from intensive care) she could be paralized from the swine flu, dangerous flu.  The SF must go from the lungs to other organs in the body, just to think drinking water could just wash out the bad and toxic bacteria from the body.

I understand that if someone with the S.F. sneezed on an airplane seat, (example) the germ would live for twenty minutes,  a a T.V. Doctor commenting to wipe the seat down with a debug cloth. I find vinegar is great to keep on hand to santized the counters, etc. Watch when someone sneezes, and sneeze in your sleeve and cough in your sleeve,etc. how annoying:)
 I believe in eight hours sleep, a must for the immunity system.

Brandi Great Pic and I do pray justice is found in this case. The person responsible should pay a heavy price. IMO I think we all know who has the answers. May the higher power give her the strength to finally admit what happened and take the punishment for her role.

I just had to break up another stupid fight on my Twitter site today.

Once again, some in the blogosphere have appointed themselves God and are passing out their judgment on the parents of killed or missing children.

Diena Thompson’s lawyer said the family does not think Somer knew the person who kidnapped and killed her. Investigators said the 7-year-old Somer disappeared on her way home from school in Orange Park, Fla. The search came to a tearful conclusion when her body was discovered in a Georgia landfill days later.

Diena’s been doing a lot of interviews on national TV shows. Now she’s getting criticized by some people for it.

She’s getting hate mail and calls.

“I wonder what kind of person would attack me when I’m already down,” said Diena.

People are calling her a bad mom, among other things, for letting her kids walk home from school.

It is not much different than some of the nasty things some bloggers are saying about the Haleigh Cummings disappearance one county south in the town of Satsuma, FL.

Although there is plenty of suspicion and bizarre behavior to go around involving Haleigh’s family members, there are also those on the internet who as so hateful on all sides of this equation that one would think a civil war involving old ladies swinging purses is about to erupt.

OBSERVATIONS REGARDING THESE TYPES OF PARTICIPANTS:

·         Appear to have a distrust of police

·         Appear to hatred for men in general

·         Appear to revel in the shortcomings of any woman

·         Appear to have a strong need to find an alliance of like-minded opinion-makers

·         Most don’t even live in area—let alone in the state of Florida.

What has spawned this behavior as of late?

This reporter doesn’t know the answer, but he is very shocked at its existence.

Morning everyone!  A quick observation before work that I am sure someone else noticed...The article from Simon B./TJ Hart states that HaLeigh and Somer lived only one county apart.  Strange isn't it?  I live in FL and didn't realize how close they were.

Yep, that article hit the nail on the head, I dont care about any of this so -called forum wars, I just want to know where HaLeigh is, I just dont understand how she is still missing after all this time and we still know nothing......God Bless HaLeigh!!

Haleigh Update: Bar Complaint Against Former Lawyer Picazio Filed By Crystal Sheffield Dismissed

The often villified former pro-bono attorney for the biological mother of 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings who was abducted from her Satsuma, FL home in February is walking away this week with some sense of vindication.

The Florida Bar Association has dismissed the complaints against attorney Kim Picazio alleged by Crystal Sheffield < The Florida Bar File No. 2010-50,286 (171) >.
In the complaint, Crystal Sheffield alleged that:

"...Ms. Picazio violated Rule 4-1.6 by disclosing confidential information concerning her representation of Crystal related to the search and investigation of her missing child, Haleigh Cummings. Crystal also contend that Ms. Picazio did not act with diligence in filing a modification of he child support. Ms. Picazio responded to the allegations in the complaint and rebuttal with specific denials of each allegation and a detailed history of her involvement in the case."

One of the findings in the complaint was rather harmful to Crystal Sheffield and the perception some may have of her:

"...Ms. Picazio also contends that your current living situation, health concerns, inability to work, and drug addiction/seizures prevented her from filing a petition for a change in custody. Haleigh was last seen at her residence in the Hermit's Cove area of Putnam County on February 9, 2009 between the hours of 8-10pm.

A statewide Amber Alert has been issued. An additional $30,000 in rewards have been posted.

so....is Kim saying that she did not consider Crystal fit enough to win her custody case because of the drug addiction and her living conditions and that is why she didn't file it? what living conditions would that be?   drugs still seem to be a part of BOTH sides of this family still, if Kim can be believed....what a mess these parents have made of their lives and those of their children...especially Haleigh's...JMO!

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Even though investigators don't know who took Somer Thompson last month or Haleigh Cummings in February, the investigations have created a heightened awareness of who lives near one's neighborhood.

Sgt. Chuck Mulligan said, "Since the Somer Thompson disappearance and unfortunate homicide case, we've had numerous phone calls, inquiries and email issues going throughout the county. It's a concern and it should be. There's someone out there doing heinous crimes."

In most parts of Florida, a person can search for sexual offenders and predators who live within so many miles of an address.

In St. Johns County, you can actually be notified through email of a new sexual criminal in your neighborhood.

The Offender Watch program is on the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office webpage. There, people can register for email alerts by simply typing their name and an address. That information remains confidential.

Mulligan said, "That information is placed into a data bank. When a detective makes an [address] change on a sexual offender or predator, you will receive an email."

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office also has a program in place called Code Red. If a sexual predator moves, the program places a telephone call to people who live within so many miles of the sexual predator's new address.

But the Offender Watch program informs individuals about sexual predators as well as sexual offenders.

The St. Johns County has made the Offender Watch software available for about two years.

Mulligan said other law enforcement agencies use it or similar versions of the program.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, more than half of rape and sexual assault incidents happen within a mile of the victim's home.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office wants to remind people that knowing the sexual criminals who live near you is an email away.

\It's extremely difficult for a lawyer's client to prevail in a Bar complaint re:  a lawyer.  One would have to have a crisp case involving fiscal irresponsibility.   Hidden costs or a lawyer billing multiple clients for the same work, excessive billing, billing by ruse all require digging deep into the records .  For the client this means putting together the evidence in books.  Multiple books of deeply buried evidence is way to much for the Bar to consider.  One would really have to sue the lawyer for the overcharges, all the while paying the lawyer's bills for the lawyer's defense.  You would have to be a multimillionare to do this.   Many choose to represent themselves while educating themselves at their State Law Library.

Sheffield's Bar complaint appears to be about nonfinancial matters, i.e., matters of strategy and behavior.  Such matters almost always lose out for the client in Bar complaints. It's only issues of clear-cut financial matters, not more hidden financial matters, that the client is likely to prevail on, if well documented.  For more hidden financial issues that require lots of interpretation, the client is unlikely to prevail at the Bar.

This is exactly what Kim was trying to tell some months ago, I think I know who the blogger is that she is talking about, but Im not gonna name names, but its really not hard to figure out, I think she mentioned her a few times when they were still talking and so did I.......I always said Kim did what she was allowed to do under her license and nothing more or less, I think she did whatever was legal for her to do and keep herself out of trouble.......

We will be running our regular Sunday exploration into the very strange case of Haleigh Cummings. I am sure that in certain circles our interest in this case is most unwelcome. Clearly someone knows something, yet the Investigators are coming up blank at the moment. We hope that in some small way we can change that.

Tomorrows panel will be Simon and Jan Barrett, ace reporter TJ Hart, Investigator William Cobra Staubs, and investigative journalist Levi Page.

We have a number of items to talk about this week. On the last program I brought up the subject of the Haleighbug Benefit Concert that Sam Watkins and his group put on in Austin, Texas. Sam and I have talked a couple of times this week. And even though I think the air has been cleared as to the how, what, and when, in an article that I published earlier, he has agreed to be a guest on the show. I think it is important to hear from Sam, and I am very much looking forward to talking to him.

Kim Picazio has reason to celebrate, this one-time attorney for Crystal Sheffield had been accused of professional misconduct while representing Crystal, the Florida Bar association has cleared her of any such actions. Of course, having a bunch of Foxes, clearing a Vixen of raiding the hen house does not look like a particularly great way of conducting investigations, but that is just my opinion! Her conflicting comments about Crystal and drugs still have me confused. I have not had time (yet) to investigate every avenue, but as I recall Picazio maintained a consistent ‘no drugs in Crystal, we have the drug test results’ policy until the bar complaint was filed. Oh, and several news organizations have requests in with the Florida Bar Association for the file, will it surface? Probably not.

We do know the identity of the anonymous ‘blogger’ mentioned in the complaint, and we are hoping that at some point the Blogger will talk to us about the allegations.

Actually, the events of the past few days have made me point my radar at the Sheffield side of the camp. While Misty Croslin and Ronald Cummings have taken much of the heat over the past several months, oh, and that heat was well deserved. But, you have to at some point take a step back and look at some other other avenues, unlikely though they may be. Crystals a bit of a strange person to understand. From the data I have it seems that she lost the custody battle for the children because she basically did not show up in court! While she claimed no knowledge of the hearing, the facts do not seem to bear witness to this. Some might argue that Crystal had a strong motive, actually 12,000 motives for Haleigh’s removal. Personally I don’t buy that one, and I am certain that PCSO do not either.

In my opinion there seems to be small yet telling statements that Crystal has made that leads me to believe that she really did not have much to do with Haleigh period. A great example of that was an interview with Nancy Grace. Crystal was asked what time Haleigh normally got home from school. She had no idea what time school got out, nor what time Haleigh got home. It is a small thing, yet in my mind a telling aspect of their relationship.

I had a conversation with a colleague earlier this week, the lack of progress recently is depressing. It would seem that without some significant breakthrough soon, Haleigh Cummings is destined to become a dusty file in some anonymous storage room. We do however believe that that missing jigsaw puzzle piece is already known, it is somewhere in the thousands of pages of documents and statements that the various agency’s have amassed. It his hiding in plain sight, but where?

I hate to say it but you are correct. I personally filed a complaint against a prosecute who admitted under oath in open court that he told my ex to lie on a welfare application. He also admitted that he wanted me (obviously not a male!) to take a DNA test to prove I was the FATHER. Even when these errors were pointed out to him he told the judge that he was too lazy to make the changes on the forms for the sex of the person and encouraged people to lie on the applications because it was the only way to get benefits. Even then the State Bar felt that there was no reason to even reprimand him. Sad.

TJ Hart stated on Blogger Talk Radio that he has setup an interview with this bloggers, so I guess we will be hearing from he/she in the near future.

You know all of this is so very sad.  The interests and the only interests should be that HaLeigh is found and that the perpetrator is arrested and punished.  All of the rest of this foolishness is simply nauseating. 

We keep hearing from various folks close to the investigation that "things are not as they seem".  For pete's sake, I wish someone would just flat out spill it and tell us what things are like then!!   ::MonkeyMad::

  From WS, I read most of her things she posted in the rumor thread before she was banned. At least three are from WS. The more I'm reading, the more I have to say that if Haleigh is ever found it will be a miracle, to say I'm discouraged, well, that would be an understatement.  ::MonkeyNoNo::

due to Crystal's drug use during her pregnancy

I had stopped posting here for some time due to attacks on me and others for disbelief in what sweet stuff was being said about Crystal. I have said many times that my life has not been roses and in my travels thru life I have witnessed alot, I was accused of lying about my own life.. I knew she was still using and I only hope those that were aggressively attacking others who refused to take Crystals words as gospel and assist in spreading falsehoods see and understand, if *IF* Crystals family is behind her abduction, the falsehoods you spread on her behalf assisted her in getting away with it. I knew Crystal was full of it and tried to point out why I felt that way and was met by hatefulness for it. Crystal is no angel and has lied about a lot. NOW maybe we can find Haleigh instead of taking up for Crystal or Ron or who ever. Call me a Ronnette if you like, I support and stand by only Haleigh and yes, I am angry because had everyone not focused on PROVING Crystal was the better parent, maybe Haleigh would be home.

I have never thought that Crystal was miss innocent either....Now the chickens have come home to roost perhaps? always 2 sides to every story isn't there?  what kind of mother continues to use drugs while pregnant with a child?  ::MonkeyNoNo::  Haleigh never stood a chance...Wonder if she and Ron Jr . were also born with drugs in their systems?  does drug use during pregnancy cause Turner Syndrome?  not excusing Ron if he was using drugs during this or anytime either...

I've been gone quite a bit myself due to real life, good and bad......the good being having a blast with a new boyfriend who treats me and the kids like gold, and the bad getting my brother to FL to get him into rehab as he's been an addict and alcoholic for over 20 yrs, so I've seen it all-just 10 days ago he came back from fishing so drunk he drove into my house on the bottom floor and then when we wouldn't let him go back out and drive again he broke the front door in and we called 911 and threw him in jail until we could get him into rehab upon his release. That being said, I'v never said Crystal was an angel, or the mom of the yr..........I DO still think this is on Ron because he's IMO a druggie still, I can see it in his eyes in numerous interviews that he's high as a kite and then whe I hear about all the stupid stunts he pulls like telling the Watkins he was going down to count the benefit money just makes him look more like a POS than I already feel he is. I never doubted either parent loved Haleigh, but she was in his care and he knew he left not only his "heart", but also Jr in the care of a drugged out slut coming off a drug binge.......he knew it ahead of time and yet still left them with her. IMO he is every bit the liar himself and even TM thinks he's hiding something after he talked about spending the "12 days with he and Misty, IIRC he called them a damn disgrace and more". I'm sure I could find the link if needed and I don't think it's even possible to discuss possible scenarios about what happened that fateful night without discussing her family and those closest to her. I can also never get past the fact that he admitted to TM that he called over 20 times and STILL didn't leave work to check on them (and the "he may have lost his job" excuse just doesn't fly with me), then he stopped for his staple ciggies and beer before going home.............yep, that's a real gem there ::MonkeyMad::

Both the parents have alot of problems, but again I have to look at this rationally and the fact is she was at Rons trailer (unless misty took her somewhere) and he was supposed to care for her in every way, her safety inlcuded and that didn't seem to be a priority for him. Sorry if this angers some, I just don't think examing the lifestyles of those around her has anything to do with her not being found. MOO

Hi Grama, I have missed you. Great to see you. I suppose this is when those who were at the head of the attacks on us who chose to not believe everything Crystal said and spoke High praises and said she was clean they could tell will do the back stroke now huh?  Glad the truth is coming out. Neither of them were fit as far as we are seeing. BOTH have drug problems and I noticed some skirt right around Crystals baby being born with drugs in her little system,choosing not to see and acknowledge it.

Granted, the kids were at Rons when Haleigh went missing and under a bimbo's watch at that, but that does NOT make Crystals lies and money making and everything else ok and it does NOT make her drug abuse ok and it does NOT mean the children should be with a mother who could have killed her unborn child by drug abuse and who is still using drugs. It could very well have happened at HER house while she was drugged up.

I have come here each day since that Feb. morning when Haleigh was reported missing. I come here for news or hopefully some new clue to this child's whereabouts. I come and I read and seek direction regarding how I can best pray for this beautiful little girl. Haleigh did nothing to deserve whatever took place that night into the wee hours of the morning. I never knew it was about which poster was right or wrong, whose feelings got hurt or felt attacked. I thought it was all about Haleigh on this site. Not too long ago, Klaas pointed out that threads about missing children who have been missing for some time, tend to get highly emotional.

I believe that is what has happened in this thread about Haleigh.

It is, however, Blu ...about Haleigh. Always has been and always will be, IMO.

Doesn't mean there have not been personal attacks, perceived or otherwise, but I try to ignore those as best I can.

Haleigh has been missing now for 279 days.

I am as well, and Christmas is right around the corner. I can't help but think about the photos of her last Christmas, how happy she was. It is all so sad.

Blu, it is and always has been about Haleigh, I guess I did not make myself clear, so I will attempt to. My point was, all the personal attacks and taking up for one or the other has accomplished nothing in finding Haleigh, It never should have went there, we are all entitled to our opinions and should not be attacked for not believing one or the other, nor should the family of a missing child be degraded in the manners in which I have seen on many boards, especially when there is nothing showing they are even suspects in the case. Both sides of the family and anyone they associate with should have been fully and thoroughly investigated from the start, regardless of where they claimed they were at the time, even if Ron was at work or Crystal was at home does not mean that it was not someone associated with one or the other. Sides never should have been taken in this case as all that accomplished was the spreading of unfounded rumors which caused personal attacks. I have remained in the middle, I felt and said neither parent was good for the children and the best thing would be placement of Jr. in a safe place until this case is sorted out, that safe place not being either parent. I still maintain that stand. My concerns are and always have been the safety of Jr. and Haleigh being found. I hope you know that. I have been reading around and the attacks are still ongoing and that is sad. This little girl needs to be home for the holidays and the taking sides and fighting will never accomplish that. I am saddened that somewhere in the middle of all this a child is lost. My point was also that in cases like this, friendships should not be forged with suspects and to me, both sides of the family were and are suspects, and what has happened is why friendships should not be forged, the bloggers that became friends with Crystal and her family assisted in the spreading of propaganda they were putting out and IMO that has hindered progress in the case, look at all the calls to DCF from out of state on numerous occasions due to comments made by "friends" of Crystal and Marie. NO ONE should have gotten a pass at any time. Neither of them were good parents and neither should have been in charge of the children until they straightened up. I was hoping that these truths coming out would stop the rumors, but see they are going full force even now. I just wish the rumors would stop and facts be used to try to figure out what happened to Haleigh.

What difference does this really make anymore, Haleigh is gone, and my only hope is that when/if Tim Miller comes back his searchers will find her. It's obvious to me that all the children involved with this case don't have great parents, and are subjected to things that they shouldn't be.

I see nothing much has changed in the search for a precious little girl. I remain disappointed and appalled by the parents on both sides of the fence and my heart breaks for this lost child. After watching the horrifying story of Shaniya unfold, I put nothing past any of those involved in Haleigh’s life……..I don’t have a lot of sympathy for all the druggies, it’s those dependent and close to them, and that love them the most that suffer for their sins……

My thoughts on this fiasco not that it matters but I can get my frustration out there anyway.

I think it is a good lesson to be learned and should be disclosed to all.  So the public can learn that they do need to make good judgements on the people/persons they choose to use to help be advocates for themselves in their time of need.

It's not just about the parents of the missing child but also about those who insert themselves into cases like this for their own personal gain.  And the many ways they insert themselves.

These things wasted precious man hours that could have been spent looking for the truth about Haleigh.
Gee if I ever want to off someone I know the players to call to divert all the attention away from the true suspect.

In the meantime where is Haleigh Misty?

My opinion will remain that Ron and Misty and perhaps a gma or two know what happened to Haleigh. Ron has not been cooperative with LE from his wedding to mid august. He spoke with them once in august and made sure he had a criminal defense attorney with him. Sorry, but the fact remains that if he needs attorneys to be with him when talking to LE, then I say he has something to hide. Also, in the nine months since Haleigh has been gone and he married Misty to get info (some believe), exactly what did he accomplish, except avoiding talking to LE and keeping Misty under his and gma's thumb. He sure didn't speak on any piece of information he garnered by marrying her.

I think the answers lie with him and misty.

yep she's back, according to AH she came back last week.

Since her recent divorce, she’s lead a vagabond life, a teenager under suspicion with no place to go. Friends and family tell me she spent two weeks with her grandmother, Flora Hollers, in Nashville, then last week took a bus back to Florida, and moved into a seedy trailer with the galpal she was with the night she was robbed while purportedly trying to score drugs in the projects.

 Misty denied she was among the drug seekers, but last month her now roommate, Melinda Sue Santmyer, 22, who recently took her in, told Palatka police they were together, with another friend, trying to hook up a drug connection when they were robbed and Misty was roughed.

 But Melinda’s pad was apparently far from harmonic and Misty’s host allegedly turned violent, sources tell me, after her boyfriend insisted she stay home with her two children, not head into the night last week.

 On Nov. 11, Santmyer was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery and destroying property, and booked into the Putnam County Jail on a $2,500 bond. Misty stayed to babysit her children, friends tell me, until Melinda was released Monday, the same day Misty’s parents gave her a ride to the Putnam County Courthouse to tell Judge Elizabeth Morris she was no longer afraid of her brother, Tommy, and asked that she dissolve the order barring any contact.

I am forgetting so much, like recently just remembered LP offered $25,000.00 on Feb 11/12 for a live HaLeigh until Feb 14th in the evening. I remember he did that in the CA case also.

No one came forward with HaLeigh.

Looking back what does it mean to me?

1. HaLeigh was deceased
2. the perp is the only one in the world that knows where HaLeigh is and she was deceased when LP made the reward
3. If family abduction, only 1 person knew (money talks)

First of all, this is about Haleigh and not about anything else......Second of all I cant believe that anyone here thinks that just because someone says something for the Mother of this child that that kept LE from doing everything they could to find HaLeigh, not so....and yes, I am one of the ones that took up for Crystal...and I still do.....She isnt anything like what she has been made to look like here , she is a little nieve and very easily led around and I know this....I also know that she Loved HaLeigh, that she loves all children and that she does not know where HaLeigh is or what happened to her, I also know that it is Ronald Cummings fault that this child is gone......common sense will tell that....he was responsible for keeping her safe.....he wanted her and he got her and so it was his responsibility to keep her safe and make sure she was cared for while he worked...You cant have it both ways....you cant say in one breath that Crystal was a bad parent and didnt want HaLeigh and then in the next breath try to say that she had something to do with HaLeigh being gone.......either she cared or she didnt..........The fact of the matter is......Ronald let this child down by his choices.....choices he made to make life easy for himself.....choices he made with his self in mind and not the children.....I stand by everything I have said about Crystal....some things are not what they seem...

Det. Schauland said on HLN's March 3rd Mike Gelanos show Ron picked Haleigh up at the bus stop (both Cookie and I heard him say this, we posted within mins of each other here, guess we are the only 2 that heard him say it) there is no transcript or video of this show on the net.

At any rate we know HaLeigh went to school and came home from school.

Misty said Tommy and his children came over and if I remember correctly was there when the AC man was there.

Teresa said in an interview she had someone go and check on the kids, we later learned it was GGMS and GGMS brought a laundry basket of clean clothes. I think the time was around 7ish, not sure about that. GGMS said the children were on the porch eating, and I believe they gave her a hug.

So if this all correct, then HaLeigh was seen at around 7ish for the last time by anyone other than Misty.

I have wondered if the children were given baths and brushed their teeth prior to going to bed at 8 (Misty said) I have never heard anyone mention this.

I would have thought Misty would but she didn't.

I forgot to mention that Det. Schauland also said on March 3rd a neighbor saw HaLeigh in the evening.

A friend of mine went to Satsuma and talked to at least one neighbor and he said he never saw HaLeigh that evening.

The MH to the left of Ron's was empty and Mr Poppin lived on the right (facing 202 Greene lane).

So imo the only close neighbor that could have seen HaLeigh would have been Mr Poppin and I don't remember if he said he did or didn't or if he was even asked by media.

Could the Det. have meant Tommy Croslin as the neighbor, that is what I am thinking now, I could be wrong. I think Misty in her LVA said Tommy was there that evening smoking pot with her. So I am thinking he might have returned a second time.

I thought the people on the other side were still occupying their rental home. Were they away on Feb 9? I thought they moved out two weeks after Haleigh disappeared. no? I guess they were gone because we haven't heard a thing about them. I had heard what they had to say about R & M after the fact.

Thank you FCL, that was the point I have been trying to make all along. most of what was fueling the things being said was rumors. Those who chose to continue posting those things as fact only helped spread the rumors, some even claimed the rumors had been verified by them even after the fact it was rumor was out, this adds to the hindering of the investigations, even if they want to skirt around it. I am not speaking of any one particular person or forum, I am speaking of ALL the rumors. To bad some cant,don't wont admit their part. Even more sad is they don't care and don't learn from it. A child is still missing and all this is not helping to find her.

The more I look at the file that was released  concerning the dismissal of the bar complaint that Crystal Sheffield and Marie Griffis brought against attorney Kim Picazio the more interesting I find it. I see specks of gold everywhere.

One aspect that comes over loud and clear is Kim Picazio’s views on Marie Griffis. Clearly Kim Picazio and Marie did not see eye to eye. I am no fan of Kim Picazio, and those of you that know me, know that is true. At no point though have I ever doubted her capability in the lawyering business, it is stinky and dirty. Lets face it, I’d rather be the ’smell man’ for Mike Rowe on the Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs than be a lawyer!

Kim and I have had a couple of ’set to’s’ I think to say we agree to disagree would sum it up quite well.

Much of the search for Haleigh Cummings has been tainted by what we love to call ‘media whores’. Oh they can be bought by the pound! Some ‘Media Whores’ are in it for the money, some are just looking for fame, some are members of the media themselves, burning the candle at both ends.

However, I will put aside my personal opinions concerning Ms Picazio. While delving into the now public records of the Bar complaint some very interesting observations about Marie Griffis come to light. Picazio says:

    Marie had close friends who leaked confidential information about the status of the investigation, and  Crystal’s lifestyle, on various “blog forums”. The executed Statement by Karen Devine-Spruill,  Moderator of Websleuths Crime Forum, gives specific data and information on Ms. Griffis’ blogging  activities, and those of Maries’ close friend, Diana White. These activities severely hampered my role  as media spokesperson to Crystal, as the flow of information was not able to be controlled. Release of  information needed to be accomplished strategically, and methodically. On several occasions, I  admonished Marie, and her friends and family, in writing, to cease blogging and leaking information  on the internet.

I could make a comment on the timely release of information, but I am sure you have all read this earlier article.

A fine example of Media Whoring is:

    Marie Griffis sought media attention whenever possible. On several occasions, media figures wanted  to interview me and Crystal, but Marie Griffis stepped in to intercept the interview for herself. This was done on more than one occasion.

Of course this fell on barren ground, one email that I found says:

Unless they’ve cleared the info with me, we must urge all of your friends and family not to make any   statements to media. I make very calculated statements. I don’t need a source close with the family mucking up the Sheffield camp’s positions on any issue. Please - no statements, no blogs.

How many times has Marie Griffis been on the Nancy Grace show? More importantly, has she ever said anything useful? The answer to that one is a resounding NO. She has offered about as much useful information as Ron “Miss Nancy” Cummings.

There are way too many ‘media whores’ in this sad tale. Ron and Misty had their honeymoon in New York paid by the media. When Marie appears on the Nancy Grace show she is in Jacksonville, picked up by a limo, tab paid by CNN. Although rumor has it that the mini bar in the CNN responser limo’s are not well stocked, it must feel good to be the center of attention.

The Bar complaint has many interesting aspects to it, and even though Kim Picazio and I may not see eye to eye on many subjects, she certainly has done a fine job of shredding her former friends and client.

Oh what a tangled web we weave.

Meanwhile, where is Haleigh Cummings? Ronald Cummings, Misty Croslin, Kim Picazio, Art Harris, and the rest of them, they do not matter, where is the little girl? I don’t give a damn how much Art was paid, thats his problem. I don’t give a damn what Ronald Cummings and his babysitter/wife/ex wife or whatever Misty Croslin calls herself this week do, they have done nothing useful to find the missing child. I don’t care that Marie likes the limo drive to and from Jacksonville. Where the hell is Haleigh Cummings? That is the only thing I care about!

I guess there is some good news, although it really offers scant succor. Some people that have profited from the case, monetarily or fame wise are being hauled onto the carpet. It is about time! I know that some people will try to pin the same on myself and my wife. Well folks, we have not benefited by one cent. If we cover a story, or do not cover a story, it matters not one iota. We cover stories because we want to. Sure, ratings are important, but to be quite honest, we could get better ratings by following other stories. So go figure!

Infant Found Not Breathing at Home

Interlachen – On Saturday (11/14), deputies and rescue personnel responded to the 800 block of Evans Avenue, in Interlachen regarding a 13 day-old female infant not breathing. Deputies initiated CPR on the infant until rescue personnel arrived and transported the infant to the Putnam Community Medical Center (PCMC). The infant was transferred from PCMC to Shand’s Hospital in Gainesville. Doctors were unable to revive the infant, and she was pronounced deceased at Shand’s Gainesville.

Investigator John Merchant with the Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene, and is currently investigating what appears to be an accidental death of the infant. It was determined that the infant was sleeping in the bed with both of her parents when she was found not breathing. The information obtained thus far indicates the infant died as the result of accidental suffocation.

Tommy Croslin sounds like a ME ME ME person.  How much money has been 'wasted' to get his butt out of jail so far.

I am speculating, but I hardly think that family is rollin in funds to keep putting it out for bonds.  Someone is definitely suffering here and my guess is that the children are the one's.

Goodness, the Holidays are soon approaching....Santa is due, and ME ME ME is still carrying on with his crap.

Good that there is no bond this time.  Let his butt stay in there ....  maybe he will have a few words to spare one of these days.

Brother of Haleigh's Former Stepmom Arrested, Battery

Tommy Croslin, the brother of the woman who is the last person to seeing missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings of Satsuma, FL is once again behind bars in Putnam County. Croslin was arrested Thursday on a battery charge for fighting with his father and is being held without bond.

Hank Thomas Croslin Senior (Hank) and his son Hank Thomas Croslin Junior (Tommy) had just finished fighting. Hank was on the porch when we arrived. Tommy was inside the house talking to Sergeant Manning. Neither Hank nor Tommy wanted to admit who started the fight.

Hank stated that he and Tommy were wrestling. Hank refused to write a written statement. Hank was uncooperative and would not provide any additional information.

Tommy looked flushed and his eyes were watery. Tommy stated he had thrown a bag of DVD's to Hank. Tommy stated Hank got mad and hit Tommy in the head. Tommy stated his left eye was swollen where Hank hit him.

Tommy refused to write a written statement. Tommy kept a hostile posture throughout the investigation and was extremely uncooperative. Tommy continued to try instigating verbal altercations with his father, Hank, and his mother, Lisa Carmen Croslin.

Lisa, Kristina Renee Prevatt, and were present at the house during the disturbance and so was a 17-year-old white female whose name was redacted from the report.

Lisa stated that Tommy had started the fight. Lisa stated that Tommy had thrown a bag of Dvd's at Hank and Hank got upset. Lisa stated Tommy then hit Hank in the head and they started to fight. Lisa refused to write a written statement.

Three of Tommy's children were also present during the disturbance.

Just days ago, a judge granted Misty Croslin's request to remove a restraining order against her borther Tommy following a fight between her then-husband Ronald Cummings and him. 

Misty Croslin's brother Tommy was first arrested this past summer on a gun theft charge at which time during his incarceration he told police he checked on the mobile home of Ronald Cummings where his sister was to be watching his children, Haleigh and Ron Jr. the night of Haleigh's disappearance. It was that time he stated he banged on the door and got no answer stating to police he believed no one was home. This fed into tips received early in the investigation that Misty had left the home sometime during the night while Ronald Cummings was working at PDM in Palatka, FL.

Tommy was released on a reduced bond under the condition he remained in Putnam County.

A few weeks ago, Tommy Croslin was arrested on drug charges after being found passed out in his car with drugs in the front seat near the place where he had dropped of one of his children to get on the school bus.

The fact that Kristina Rene "Nay Nay" Prevatt and the unidentfied white 17-year-old female witness to the fight Thursday morning--widley believed to be Misty Croslin--who were both at the scene has raised the eyebrows of many including Private Investigator William "Cobra" Staubs.

Prevatt has a history of jail time in Putnam County on drug charges and assorted misdemeanors and has admitted to Private Investigator Staubs that she introduced Misty Croslin to a man named Greg Page. Prevatt also admitted to Staubs that she served as Misty's driver during that weekend of sex and drugs with Page days before little Haleigh Cummings was taken from her home while in Misty's care the night of February 9, 2009.

Private Investigator William "Cobra" Staubs has had a hand in the looking for missing 6-year-old Satsuma, FL girl Haleigh Cummings both on the scene and behind the scenes shortly after the child was abducted from her home in February of 2009.

Staubs also ran into a bit of trouble with the law while in Satsuma. He was arrested and charged with the false imprisonment of an accused capital child sex offender after the man, Daniel Snodgrass who was out on $70,000 bond awaiting trial, had allegedly caused trouble at the Haleigh Bug information center where children were present.

Tommy Croslin – In The Slammer Again

Haleigh Cummings ex stepmoms brother has once again found himself behind bars. This is the second time this month that Tommy Croslin has been a guest of the PCSO. The charge this time is battery. This is a misdemeanor charge, yet he appears to be be held with no bond. This is an unusual situation.

The PCSO has been contacted but are declining comment saying only that they are still trying to understand what happened. The Croslins do seem to have a unique ability to find trouble.

It was only a few days ago that the restraining order against Tommy had been lifted at the request of Misty Croslin. Misty is now living back in the Satsuma area, and it has been rumored that she was indeed staying with Tommy. One has to wonder if this latest event involves Misty Croslin in any way?

As soon as details emerge I will update this article.

SATSUMA, Fla. -- Just two weeks after an arrest on drug charges, Hank Croslin Jr. is in jail again.

This time, Misty Croslin's brother is facing domestic violence charges.

Putnam County deputies said the arrest stems from an argument he had with his father over DVDs.

Hank's sister, Misty, was the last person to see missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings before she vanished.

She recently divorced Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings.

That trailer is in 1/2 her name.  She better get her steel toed boots on and start kicking some lazy asses out of that place, and make a descent home for her children.

I am going to take a stab without going back the few pages.  You obviouly are referring to the other galpal of Misty's, you know, the one that was with her when she was supposedly robbed???  The one that ended up in jail, and the father of the children must have been desperate for someone to look after them.

Either he didn't give a hoot about the children and was hoping they would disappear or he was definitely DESPERATE.  OR ... Misty was homeless and had to do her duty in order to stay at their place.

Haleigh Cummings- Have  You Seen Her?

Writing and reporting on missing children is not an easy thing to do if you are a parent or someone who deeply cares about children. You tend to take it personal and start to feel like the child is like your own or a close relative that you love.

In February we heard about little 5 year old Haleigh Cummings missing with her 17 year old then babysitter being the last to have seen her. Since then we have seen on national TV Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings, her mother, Crystal Sheffield, her now ex-stepmother, Misty Croslin and her grandmother’s from both sides of the family talking about little Haleigh missing. Talking to the family has done nothing in this case to help find Haleigh, not to mention in laws and friends and even Sex Offenders.

I hear and read everyday complaints from people about where is all this reporting on this one or that one doing this or that got to do with finding Haleigh. Well I guess if you look at it through the eyes of some it means nothing but in the eyes of others it means everything.

Now I am no psychiatrist but from what I know about them, in order to find out the root of a patients problem they have to dig into their past and all those that are a part of it. This seems to help explain the actions of the said patient.

The point here is that we need to dissect each and every member of the family here to find out what each may or may not be capable of. My husband, Simon and I are not directly taking sides in this case yet. We feel that everyone should be investigated thoroughly and then all the cards should be set on the table to put together like a puzzle would be.

This whole case is like a giant puzzle with only a few remaining pieces missing and in order to find those missing pieces we need to start over and go through every clue given and not overlook anyone involved here.

There are so many theories as to what happened to Haleigh. I have a theory that I choose to keep to myself until I get more evidence. I am sure Simon has his as I am sure even TJ Hart has one. Just because we have our own ideas doesn’t make us right or wrong. It is just a theory but without theories where does one look for clues?

Let me make one thing clear to those that want to criticize us for doing things the way we are. We are NOT Ron-haters, we are NOT Crystal-haters, we are NOT Misty-haters and we are NOT Kim Picazio-haters (although my opinion of her is a different story too). All we are trying to do is find those missing pieces so hopefully it will lead us to the answer we all need, WHERE IS HALEIGH?

We report what we get. Someone has to keep this child’s name in the news so she won’t be put on a back burner as the key players eventually move on with their lives and she is forgotten. Haleigh shouldn’t be remembered only on her birthday or on the anniversary of the date she disappeared or at Christmas. She should be remembered every day until she is found.

Some think Haleigh is no longer with us. I happen to think in my heart she is. I can’t let go of the hope that she is safe somewhere. The fact remains that no matter how it turns out she needs to be found. Someone knows something and unless we pick it out of the right one, we will never know who that someone is.

I often wonder if she is alive somewhere, is she OK? Is she being well taken care of and is she being loved like an adorable little gift from God should be? Does she know the world is looking for her and wondering about where she could be? Will she be somewhere that she can enjoy Christmas with gifts to open like other children will be doing on Christmas morning? Will she be enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with someone that is taking care of her?

To be honest I hope and pray she is, at least she will be alive and not missing out on all this that children her age look forward to.

Please help us find Haleigh Marie Cummings! Help us bring her home. She needs to be home again with her little brother. Help me in saying a prayer for Haleigh to bring her home as well as all the others we report about. I am not going to list them all right now as I think this should be for Haleigh, but I know who the others are. They will all remain in my prayers. God bless all of you that care. Let’s stand together in this and find out what happened to this little girl, please.

Haleigh Cummings Update – Sunday Nov/22 3pm Central

We will be running our regular call in radio program about Haleigh Cummings on Sunday at 3pm central. The panel looks like it will be full strength this week, Simon and Jan Barrett, ace reporter for WSKY 97.3 TJ Hart, investigator William Cobra Staubs, investigative journalist Levi Page, and Crime writer Denny Griffin.

It was an interesting week in the search for Haleigh Cummings. The release of the file concerning the bar complaint brought by Crystal Sheffield and her mother Marie Griffis against Kim Picazio hit the street last Monday.  That has produced a chain reaction of claims and counter claims by those mentioned in it.

Several ‘Bloggers’ were outed in the files, and it seems pretty clear that Picazio is out for blood. One in particular Pirate Girl does seem to be in the cross hairs at the moment. Although the relationship between Pirate Girl and Picazio was pretty well known, now it is in the public domain. Both TJ Hart and myself have had ministrations made to us to get involved in this cat fight, but I think I for one will decline. I’d rather have a root canal than get into that sess pool.

A far more insidious and disturbing revelation in the file was the relationship between Kim Picazio and two time Emmy winning reporter Art Harris. According the Picazio, Art Harris was used as a media consultant to assist in the rehabilitation of Crystal Sheffield’s public image. While there is nothing wrong with him accepting payment from Cobra, nor assisting Crystal Sheffield, at no time did he reveal this information. As his site proclaims:

    The Truth, The Whole Truth…
    and Nothing but the BALD TRUTH

He made no disclosure about his involvement with Picazio or the Sheffield’s, yet happily went along releasing ‘news stories’ often using the great term EXCLUSIVE. Certainly for a period of time his site was the hot bed for breaking news. But was it? In retrospect how can this be viewed as anything but an exercise in Public Relations? One also has to question the ownership of the videos, if he was on the payroll of Cobra when they were made, how come they are watermarked Art Harris rather than Case Closed? In fact my rumor mill, and it is both constant and reliable, tells me that there are some tapes that Art Harris is still sitting on, and refuses to hand over.

For a very revealing peek inside the early days, and exactly what Art Harris was contracted to do, I suggest that you try this link. In fact there is a huge amount of information in that interview. Clearly Art Harris has done nothing illegal, he can accept money from any source he likes. In fact he can write whatever he likes, it is after all a free country. Although most reputable journalists do not accept money or ally themselves to a side in the story with impunity, he is free to do as he wishes. To many journalists though, this is an ethical line that should not be crossed.

Even more telling was a phone call that I received this afternoon. I don’t wish to share the content, nor the source at this moment. However the source has a high credibility level in closeness to the Haleigh Cummings case. There was one comment made concerning an event earlier today that only someone on the inside could know about.

I will wait for proof positive by way of documents, but I think it is fair to say that the spin being put out in certain online arenas about who Truthteller is, are nothing more than just that, spin. There does seem to be some very conclusive proof as to who this person is. And it is not a female.

The other news, Tommy Croslin managed to get himself arrested again, this time on a battery charge, the report states that Tommy Croslin hit his father with a bag of DVD’s and a fight ensued. The Croslin clan should all be only allowed supervised visits with each other! My father is dead, but I can honestly say that at no time while he was alive did I ever try and hit him, nor him me. Sure we had arguments, we agreed to disagree on some subjects, but to strike the man is a thought that never entered my mind. If the search for Haleigh Cummings was not such a serious thing I would recommend that Spike or MTV run a reality TV program about them all!

Mr. Barrett stated he never thought of hitting his father...well most normal people don't!  If you live in a house full of addicts that are either high or coming down that is what they do.  Fighting and the constant sight of the police is the norm for them.  I could not and never will live like that!  It also looks like Tommy has been snorting a little too many Oxy's/Xanax/Methadone (take your pick or all the above) and hitting the crack/meth pipe too much!  What EFFED up families!  That poor child is doomed to end up like them.  I only hope that if HaLeigh is alive that she is living a much better life than the one she had/will have.  Come to think of it if my child was still missing I would've already been committed to the looney bin.  I wouldn't be able to go on I don't think.  These people are going on with their lives as though nothing happened!  Makes one go hmmmm.?  What do they really know?  Why are they okay?  Are they happy she is gone?  I don't understand any of this.

It sure does, doesn't it!!!  When you take a look at all of the info that we have read, makes one really shake their head and ASK... Who Knows Where Haleigh IS????

Fumes from envelope send two women to hospital

Two women working at the county tax collector's office became ill while opening mail Friday afternoon and were hospitalized.

Meanwhile, emergency officials are trying to determine what was inside what Palatka Assistant Police Chief James Griffith termed "a suspicious package."

Firefighters provided initial treatment to the women at the collector's office, which is near the county courthouse in the downtown business district. Authorities said the women reported irritated eyes and skin after a strange odor came from the envelope.

Officials did not identify the sickened workers.

Dan McLean, chief executive officer of Putnam Community Medical Center, said hospital staff followed normal protocol while caring for the women.

"We were told they had been decontaminated in the field," McLean said. "We were receiving them and treating them as emergency patients."

The workers became ill in a back section of the office away from the area where residents go to buy license plates and other routine tasks. Although the office was not evacuated, authorities asked some visitors to come back a few minutes later while firefighters removed the package.

The suspicious envelope was sealed in a plastic bag by the time emergency crews arrived, Palatka Fire Department Capt. Brent Meyers said.

"We haven't even seen it. We don't even know what it looks like," Meyers said. "All we did was bag it again and transported it out of there."

Michelle Roberts, office operations director, said 16 workers remained in the office while the package was removed.

The bag was taken to the Palatka Fire Department, where it was tested to ensure it could be safely transported to Jacksonville for additional testing.

"Before Jacksonville will accept it we have to do radiation testing," Meyers said. "And it doesn't come out of the bag for that testing."

Palatka Fire Marshal Mark Lynady explained why the package was sent to Jacksonville.

"This isn't a sealed environment," he said. "If we open the bag and perform the tests and it ends up being something serious, then we got a big time problem. They're going to leave it bagged and get it properly transferred and get it taken up to Jacksonville."

Palatka police officers took the bag to Jacksonville.

Tax Collector Ken Mahaffey said Friday's incident was a first for his office.

"It was very unusual," he said. "We had prepared for this many years ago when the scare with anthrax swept the country but we hadn't had any experience with this at all."

Both women were stable and were expected to be released from the hospital Friday night, Lynady said.

OUR NATIONAL EPIDEMIC-CHILD STEALING & MURDER

I am so heartsick at the most recent kidnapping and murder of Shaniya Davis.

Then there's the 2 recent missing children: Elizabeth Olten and Somer Thompson. These kids were kidnapped and murdered within 2 days of each other.

That's three kids all in the last 5 weeks or less.  There's so many that I can't even keep these kids' names straight because they all blend into one-and that's not fair to the poor victims.

The sheer volume of missing & murdered children week after week makes this an epidemic that we can't ignore.

Then, of course, little Caylee Anthony last year...and little Haleigh Cummings some months back who is still missing.

When has it become open season on little kids anyway? Why have they become a 'disposable' commodity in someone's sick mind?

 

                              THIS HAS TRULY BECOME A NATIONAL EPIDEMIC


What can I do as a citizen to help? I would certainly hate to think that we will all become immune to these almost daily stories because they are becoming so common place! It may happen you know. Sort of the kidnapping du jour becoming something we ignore or turn the channel-not a very comforting thought.

Seems to me the pedophiles and perverts are getting awfully brazen and too comfortable in being able to steal a kid just steps from their homes without being seen. They are bold and intend to commit these crimes regardless of consequences.

I know there's a special place in Hell for the evil people who torture and murder children but that really doesn't make me feel better. I think the parents who do harm to their own kids (as in the case of Antoinette Davis and Casey Anthony) definitely have a perverted evil inside of them and will suffer the consequences for breaking the trust of their own precious babies.

I am sure we only hear about a mere fraction of the kidnappings & murders happening around the country.

In my area we've had a lot of close calls lately, with reports of suspicious individuals trying to lure young kids into cars. It's happening more frequently because these perverts scope out the areas where parents are not around. At which point will it go farther and a child disappears? I shudder to think about that.

I am grateful not to have young kids at home, I'd be a basket case every time they walked out the front door-no matter how much I thought I prepared them, I'd be scared to death to let them out of my sight!

Please keep your kids close. Talk to them, talk to them and talk to them again about the dangers of walking alone and not keeping their eyes open.

Teenagers too, they think nothing could possibly happen to them, but there we have the young woman who disappeared at that concert 3 weeks ago and then of course Natalie Holloway in Aruba on her senior trip a couple of years ago...

I pray everynight that HaLeigh is still alive somewhere and safe and loved......Just because I dont think that she is doesnt mean I dont pray that she is, The thing that really sealed the deal for me and made up my mind about what happened to Haleigh, was Misty's behavior  on the 911 call when she got robbed.....I have listened to the 911 call from the night HaLeigh went missing so many times and just trying to put that whole night straight in my mind and it just doesnt add up to me, I know I could be wrong and I will be the first to rejoice if it should be proven that I am, but, just listen to the fear in Misty's voice when she got robbed, real fear, all the crying and begging cops to come help her, I heard none of that in her 911 call the night HaLeigh dissapeared.....something isnt right about that, I try to put myself in her shoes and think if I was responsible for this child, a child that she has confessed to loving, that she said she was like a Mother too, Even though she is only 17 and the child wasnt really hers, I still think she would have had more fear, more genuine feelings in her voice that night.... The way it all came down is what has made me believe that either she knew what happened to HaLeigh......or she knew that she was responsible in some way to what happened....all I heard was fear for herself in that call, fear for what she allowed to happen or knew happened...I hate feeling that way, but I do.....God Bless HaLeigh.......help bring her home however she has to come......I just want her found..

Well it was a curious program to say the least. We had to battle a rather large technical problem 10 minutes before we went on air. BTR decided to dump callers coming in to the program. Those callers were the panel! After resetting the program and switchboard three times I was faced with the situation of no panel, and 28 seconds till going live. I decided to go live and explain that there were problems, of course no sooner did I do that than than the switchboard started working again.

We had our full panel of experts, Jan and Simon Barrett, TJ Hart of WSKY 97.3, William Cobra Staubs, Denny Griffin, and Levi Page.

It has been a strange and frustrating week in the search for missing Haleigh Cummings. I have to admit that it was with some trepidation that I went on air. An unfortunate reality of the news business is that for one one reason or another not all news can be shared. Some problems lay in confidentiality, some in proof, and some in less savory arenas.

Due to events that occurred over the past 24 hours, I decided to skip certain lines of inquiry. But that is not to say that I will not be revisiting them at a later date. Because, one way or another I will. To say I am seething, does not do justice, but justice will be done at some point!

It was still a lively 90 minutes. All of our panelists had lots to say, as did our callers.

The panel is very split on Haleigh Cummings, some assume she is dead, and when you look at the statistics that is a very reasonable assumption. Levi Page pointed out that the stats show that if a child is not found in the first 48 hours, the chances of finding the child alive diminish at an alarming rate.

Tommy Croslin Jr managed to rack up yet another arrest this week for supposedly smacking his father with a bag of DVD’s. As Cobra pointed out, who wants to fight at 8am in the morning? TJ Hart gave us the ‘guest list’ of this fracas, Lisa and Frank Croslin Sr, and Nay Nay Prevatt. The police report also mentions another witness, the name is redacted, but they did a less than stellar job on the redaction. It took me less than the blink of an eye to see that the redacted minor was none other than Misty Croslin. Now I could be wrong, but this group of folks do not look like people that wake up early. Was 8am bed time? Had they all been up all night?

I think it is fair to say that many nerves are frayed in the search for Haleigh Cummings. As a reporter I have to comment that those frayed nerves seem more from the people that care, than the families involved.

I still believe that the missing puzzle piece is hiding in plain sight, and we are missing it. It is something insignificant, but it is there.

By no means do I want to suggest that PCSO has not done the best job they possibly have done. I still think that that key piece is there for the finding. I will even go so far as to tread in the same foot steps as my very good friend TJ Hart. That back door, the laundry, that in my opinion is where the clue might lay.

Not sure I have a 'theory', so to speak. IMO Ron is not involved and is clueless as to the truth of what happened (just like we are). I do not believe she is alive. I believe she died on day (night) one. I have no idea what happened...but Misty knows. I do not believe a SO is involved.

Yes, she was Penny......if something like this has happened at the very least Shaniya's family isnt haunted with thinking that she is alive and be used as a sec slave or something the rest of their lives, they have a grave, a marker to where she is and know that she is not in pain anymore...this nt knowing is whats so bad.....

That patch mess came from Cobra.  And just my personal opinion,  I no longer believe anything that Cobra has to say.  One can't tell which side of Cobra's mouth speaks the truth.

I re-listened to Simon, "RC's Neighbor" What is that about?  The neighbor has nothing to do with the other thing.

Cobra tosses claims, so others will dispute the information or give more knowledge?  He has a reason for throwing the Patch
idea, I don't think he is stupid, what is his method for disclosing this tidbit will be interesting if we find out.

Please let me state we do not know if C.S.theory has any truth to it.

Fentanyl was first synthesized by Paul Janssen under the label of his relatively newly formed Janssen Pharmaceutica in 1959. In the 1960s, fentanyl was introduced as an intravenous anesthetic under the trade name of Sublimaze. In the mid-1990s, Janssen Pharmaceutica developed and introduced into clinical trials the Duragesic patch, which is a formation of an inert alcohol gel infused with select fentanyl doses which are worn to provide constant administration of the opioid over a period of 48 to 72 hours. After a set of successful clinical trials, Duragesic fentanyl patches were introduced into the medical practice.

Following the patch, a flavored lollipop of fentanyl citrate mixed with inert fillers was introduced under the brand name of Actiq, becoming the first quick-acting formation of fentanyl for use with chronic breakthrough pain. More recently, fentanyl has been developed into an effervescent tab for buccal absorption much like the Actiq lollipop, followed by a buccal spray device for fast-acting relief and other delivery methods currently in development.

A new Fentanyl product has just been approved by the FDA for breakthrough cancer pain called Onsolis. It uses a new drug delivery technology called BEMA (fentanyl buccal soluble film) which is placed in the mouth on a small disc. There appears to be less of a abuse potential because the drug can not be crushed up and snorted like other Fentanyl product. It also has less of a chance of causing mouth ulcers for patients needing to use Fentanyl for breakthrough cancer pain.

Fentanyl is more potent that Oxycontin.  The patch can be cut open and a person can eat the liquid in it or use the buccal swab to rub on the inside of the cheek.  It is a high like Heroin an if GG did get them that explains the real dopey look on Ron and Misty!  They come in 25, 50, and 100mg and they sell for $1 per mg.  Central and South FL is known for their "pill mills".  People come from many states away to go to our docs down south!  With an MRI and doctor report of something wrong you can walk out with what you want for about $150.  Our Sheriff has asked all our pharmacies NOT to fill all scripts from down there and they haven't.  All our docs that ran pill mills here had people OD and they all got arrested/convicted.  Our LE makes sure we are informed about all drugs on our street and he does a great job in our schools. But then again I do know a few people like Ron and Misty in my area too I just don't claim to know 'em! lol

are both detox drugs they can be in patch or pill form (usually if pill you have to go somewhere like a clinic and take it in front of people with the under the tonge check as they are equivalent if not stronger then heroin
sever script like percs and oxi's addicts are given these to wean them off....patches are usually distributed to the people who are not official junkies like crack head types... used more for the biz man that got addicted after car accident etc.. they are time released and are give to the people who are not flagged as script seekers that could possibly sell or abuse them... not sure why you guys are talking about a patch but thats what i know about them

i work with a 19 yr old who rolls (takes extacy) occasionally and he told me about scooby doo rollies and i said yeah i've seen ones with smilies on them (back in the day college years) and he said no these were actually shaped like scooby doo and we laughed because i said where the hell would they have gotten the pill press machine for that and he said i dunno probably at the vitamin factory...
so now that you bring it up they now even have e shaped like characters not just imprinted with them...
again just another drug that this family probably had on hand so who wants to narrow down which fam member...

More trouble for the family of missing Putnam County girl Haliegh Cummings.
The father of the woman who was at home when Haleigh went missing has been arrested for doctor shopping.


Police say 41-year old Hank Croslin Senior acquired hundreds of Oxycodone and Hydrocodone pills from three different doctors earlier this year.


Croslin has been charged with withholding information from a practitioner.


Police found this information as part of their investigation into the disappearance of the young girl.

There have been a series of arrests of family members connected to this case, but none have been involved with the disappearance.


Haliegh has been missing since early February.

About 45 minutes ago, records show, he was booked into the Putnam County Jail (at 7:09 p.m.) on $7,500 bond. The Croslins are scrambling to raise $750 or 10 per cent, hoping to bond him out by Thanksgiving.

Hank told me recently he still takes prescription narcotics for back pain he suffered in a car wreck days before his daughter, Misty, reported Haleigh Cummings missing, and anti-anxiety medication for panic attacks.

Sources tell me he allegedly concealed one doctor from another, to be able to obtain multiple prescripions for narcotics from physicians, the same thing the late pop star Michael Jackson did for years. He denies the charges

Sounds as if it is a crime when you go to different docs, and obtain prescriptions from each of them... not telling that you have already been to other's for the same prescription.

Now...someone has to pay for this!!!!!  If he has some type of medical insurance, would they not pick up on this...or most likely no insurance, but payment has to come from somewhere....especially when someone is unemployed.

Hi Searching ~  Well this old dog quickly learns the 'new tricks' of the trade, as how to obtain prescriptions fraudently.  I know that Dr. / patient info is priviledged information but with the modern technology that we have one would think that there would be a 'prescription' link  to access PRIOR to filling the prescriptions, to prevent this happening.

Most major pharmacies do have some sort of central database. My neighbor who OD'ed a few years ago "DR shopped", she was on Medicaid and disability (for what I have no clue) anyway...... she would go to small pharmacies, mainly locally owned, basically any place that she knew had no database or any way of checking. She had 3 doctors, one was a "gynecologist"  ::MonkeyRoll:: who prescribed her Methadone, Soma, and Xanbars, she had another DR for .... I believe her back and he prescribed her with Soma, Vicodin, and Xanax, and her last Dr was for her "mental"  ::MonkeyRoll:: health he prescribed her with Soma, Loratab, and Xanbars. She would see these "DRs" once every few months. She would just pay the out of pocket cost to see them, and get her meds filled when medicaid wouldn't pay for it, probably woulda been a good 'business' move had she not consumed all of her product. ::MonkeyDevil2::

The father of Misty Croslin - the woman who apparently was the last person to see Putnam County 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings before she disappeared in February - was arrested Tuesday, accused of doctor shopping.

During the investigation into Haleigh's disappearance, law enforcement received information alleging that Hank Thomas Croslin Sr., 41, was fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs, according to the Putnam Sheriff's Office.

Putnam authorities said the investigation revealed that Hank Croslin Sr. obtained approximately 300 Oxycodone and Hydrocodone pills from three different physicians between April and May 2009.

None of the prescribing doctors was aware that the others had prescribed the controlled substances, authorities said. This practice is known as doctor shopping, a third-degree felony.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office arrested Hank Croslin Sr., 41, at his home at 116 Tyler St. in Satsuma and charged him with withholding information from a practitioner. He was booked into the Putnam County Jail.

Haleigh was reported missing on Feb. 10. FDLE continues to assist the Putnam County Sheriff's Office in its investigation.

It's a big crime to Dr. shop here in FL.  We don't have a prescription monitoring program here yet.  The bill was passed over the summer and the monitoring prog will begin in 2010.  I can't wait til all the doctor shoppers are caught!  Those people and the pill mills ruin it for actual pain management patients.  All the Croslins had to do was sell a few of those pills to pay for the doc visit and Rx.  It's a big racquet and all of them apparently are guilty of it. I am in pain managemnt with a good solid doc who does random drug screens and you can't have anything not prescribed to you in your urine narcotic or not.  He's a real upstanding doc recommended by my spine surgeon.  I also hold 2 jobs and need my doc to keep my jobs.  It makes me sick to see the likes of the Croslins.  I sit in the pharmacy waiting on mine to be filled and you wouldn't believe the conversations I over hear from other people.  One young man was waiting and while talking to his friend he nodded out mid convo and his girlfriend (I guess) was on the phone saying "yeah, we'll be home by 3 and he's getting 150" and she turned to dopey and said, "Doug wants to buy 10 so call when we are on are way home".  No effen joke!  I wanted to tell the pharmacist but I was scared of them and just got my stuff and left in a hurry.

I'd like to know! and money for cigarettes and booze as well! that stuff is not cheap, especially ciggiebutts...I don't smoke but I certainly can read an ad for them...Like $3.59 a pack or so last I paid attention...more than a gallon of milk or a gallon of gas ...

I guess they make good money selling some of their stash.That place beats any of the craziness that goes on around where I live.That is saying a mouthful.    ::MonkeyRoll::

There is certainly NO EXCUSE for their actions.  But, we must remember, the Croslin's aren't even related to HaLeigh, other than Misty marrying into the family. 

I doubt for one minute that HaLeigh is even on their minds, ONLY if they have taken part in her disappearance.  We can see the picture what  the Croslin grandchildren are facing, and it definitely isn't pretty.

I wish is they keep arresting these people for everything and just maybe they can get them on something big that they will do hard time and then to make a deal they will tell what they know and little Haleigh will be found.

This is such a small town people know, hear, see things but they are not telling because most of them are doing illegal things too.
 
They all know that there is a revolving door with LE so they just keep doing what they do.
IMO it will just take one that is facing hard time and they will squeal like a pig to make a deal
because these are small town folks with there petting crimes that they feel big and bad but  there is a big ole world out there with all kinds in it and when you put them all together these small town folks will be the low man on the totem poll.
 
Then IMO we will see the ripple effect and little Haleigh will be found.

Putnam County investigators plan to question the father of Misty Croslin, believed to be the last person to see Haleigh Cummings before she disappeared, about events the night the child was last seen.
Hank Croslin Sr., 41, was arrested Tuesday and accused of doctor shopping, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

During the investigation into Haleigh's disappearance, law enforcement received information alleging he was fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs.

"Even though this arrest is not related to their case, investigators in the Haleigh Cummings investigation intend on questioning Hank Croslin Sr. to determine if he has any knowledge of the events that took place the night Haleigh Cummings went missing," the Putnam County Sheriff's Office reported in a statement Wednesday. "As we have previously reported, there are inconsistencies in Misty Croslin's account of the evening that still need clarification."

The Sheriff's Office declined to release any further information about an interview with Hank Croslin Sr. related to Haleigh or his arrest, citing that both cases are ongoing investigations. He remained in custody at the Putnam County jail Wednesday morning.
Haleigh, now 6, was reported missing on Feb. 10. FDLE continues to assist the Sheriff's Office in its investigation.

Cummings Family Hangs Lights to Honor Haleigh

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Christmas lights are newly strung at Haleigh Cummings' father's and great-grandmother's home in Welaka in Putnam County.

However, the banner with the missing child's picture on it in the front yard may be the most important addition.

Annette Sykes, Haleigh's great-grandmother, said her family is having a hard time this Thanksgiving.

"It's really hard to give thanks when part of your heart and family is not here and you don't know where they are," Sykes said as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Sykes said her family doesn't feel much like decorating for the holidays, but it was important to do it for Haleigh's younger brother.

"If it weren't for Junior, we probably wouldn't," Sykes explained, "but he has to have some kind of normal life."

As for the investigation, Johnny Greenwood with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said detectives and an FDLE agent are reviewing tips they have received about the Haleigh Cummings case.

At Hill's Hardware in Pomona Park in southern Putnam County, the seasonal message on an outdoor sign changes. However, the part that reads "Pray for Haleigh" has been up since February when she disappeared.
That's sad for John Woods, the employee who was inserting letters to spell "Happy Thanksgiving."

Woods said, "It's real sad. I'm real sad because I just had a little baby girl. I'd be sad if my girl come up missing."

Rodney Sheffield of Hill's Hardware told First Coast News, "We have been through a lot in Palatka looking for [Haleigh] and so forth. Our hope is they'll find her, hopefully alive and if not, at least it'll bring closure."

He looked at the sign and added, "One more prayer may help."

Back at Sykes' home in Welaka, red ribbons are tied to the trees. They're not for Christmas. Those ribbons have been up for months there. They are ribbons of hope for a little girl's safe return.

"Somebody's got to know something, and that person can come forward" without being identified, Sykes said.

As Christmas lights line her home and while telephone poles along the highway don festive lights as well, the signs of the holiday season seem to be all over Putnam County.

But there's still no sign of the little girl.

Haleigh was 5-years-old when she vanished Feb. 10 from her father's mobile home, just outside the community of Satsuma.

Misty Croslin, Haleigh's father's ex-wife, was babysitting Haleigh that night when she said she awoke about 3 a.m. and noticed the kitchen light on. The back door was propped open with a brick and Haleigh was missing.

Despite extensive searches and a $35,000 reward, Haleigh has not been found.

Red, I just wrote a paper on drugs and society, who it really hurts. I made mention in there of a girl I knew when I was 13. Her mother was a heroin addict and she, at 15 was as well. Her mother had been pimping her out for God only knows how long and had gotten her started and hooked on dope so she would go along with the game she had going. sad really, it happens more then people realize. I often wonder what happened to her. When I see the antics involved in this family, it reminds me of that mother daughter I knew then. I have to pause and wonder, could that be where the drug,bail and etc money comes from? Surely it can not come from the pill sales, they seem to use more than they sell, so it has to be coming from somewhere.

Hate to admit it, but I sure think that would be better for the kids.

That household is out of control from what I hear.

Holidays Are Going To Be Hard For Haleigh Cummings Family

I can’t begin to imagine how hard it would be to celebrate the holidays when in your heart all you want to do is cry. From my own experience when I am grieving all I want to do is sit alone in a dark room and cry. I didn’t want anyone to be around me, I didn’t want to listen to the TV or the radio. I just wanted to be left alone. Thank God I had family surrounding me that cared and wanted to make sure I didn’t lose myself into a dark world through my grief. They made me realize life goes on.

In my case I didn’t have other children at home that I was neglecting so I was only hurting myself. The point of all this is that when other children are involved you can’t just quit living. It is very important to show them they matter as well and you can’t deprive them of their life. Christmas and Thanksgiving is about family and love and celebrating. When you have a loved one missing or taken from you it is hard but you have to. You can’t forget the missing one or the one that is gone but you have to keep living for the others as well.

Haleigh’s family family is kind of in this position in Satsuma Florida. The family is grieving for little Haleigh Cummings who has been missing since Feb. 10, 2009. The last one to see her as far as we know is her father’s ex-wife, Misty Croslin. Misty claims she woke up around 3 am to go to the bathroom and found her kitchen light on and a block holding the back door open. She ran to check on the kids and that is when she found Haleigh gone.

Haleigh’s father, Ron Cummings has since moved out of the mobile home the family lived in at the time and has moved in with his grandmother, Annette Sykes in Welaka in Putnam County. She has decided to decorate her home with the colorful Christmas lights even though she says the family is having a hard time this Thanksgiving.

“It’s really hard giving thanks when part of your heart and family is not here and you don’t know where they are,” she said with tears flowing from her eyes.

She says the family doesn’t really feel like decorating for the holidays this year but they think it is really important to do so for the sake of Haleigh’s little brother, Jr. “ If it weren’t for Junior we probably wouldn’t,” She goes on to say. “But he has to have some kind of normal life.”

At Grandma Sykes home there are red ribbons that have been tied around the trees that aren’t there for Christmas. They have been there for months in hopes of a little girl’s safe return. “Somebody’s got to know something and that person can come forward without being identified,” said Sykes.

They have the Christmas lights lining her home and banner in her front yard with Haleigh’s picture on it. In Pomona Park of Southern Putnam County at the Hill’s Hardware Store there is a sign out front that now says Happy Thanksgiving but below that he has “Pray for Haleigh” that has been there since February. John Woods, an employee that added the letters for Happy Thanksgiving said, “It’s real sad. I’m real sad because I just had a little baby girl. I’d be sad if my girl come up missing.”

I am going to ask this from everyone also. Please pray for little Haleigh. We don’t know who did this. None of us have the answer that we desperately want answered. We don’t know where Haleigh is. All we can do until that final piece of the puzzle is found is to continue to pray for her. I personally believe in miracles so I am praying for a miracle during this holiday season. God, please bring Haleigh home where she belongs!

Keep the prayers for the others and their families as well please. As Rodney Sheffield of Hill’s Hardware told First Coast News, “One more prayer may help.”

The list I have to pray for is as follows: Caylee Anthony (found dead), Adji Desir (remains missing), Haleigh Cummings (remains missing), Somer Thompson (found dead), Elizabeth Olten (found dead) , Masaraha Ross (remains missing), Alex Mercado (drowned) Rebecca Marie Allen (found alive), Sandra Cantu (found dead), Anthony Holland (found alive), Shaniya Davis (found dead), Hassani Campbell (remains missing), Giovanni Gonzalez (reported dead), Neveah Buchanen ( found dead) and Shannon Dedrick (found alive) and now Angel Miguel Perez (found safe). There are so many more too and I know I continue asking for everyone to pray for all of them but I refuse to give up.

God Bless Haleigh-we will never forget you sweet angel......I do beleive she is with our Lord and knows no sadness anymore and is playing with angels, so I pray that God brings peace and comfort to those who love and miss this sweet child.

Marie had the photos on her ms and that was a caption on one, not verbatim but something like "got all did up for the show" I had the photos somewhere but can not seem to find them. I am pretty sure that is one from that show.

Any way that could be a fake myspace page?   She has another one that's private that she's always had.   And Bobby has two myspace pages as well, one all about missing children, the other is not.

could very well be a fake one...who takes that time and energy to do such things if it is fake? I have a hard time keeping up on this forum and others, let alone take the time to make up fake Myspace accounts...if it is....can't figure people out no matter how hard I would try....

According to Jane Velez Mitchell or Nancy Grace the night before last, Misty was back in Satsuma.  I've not seen any news on that, but may have missed it due to the crunch of the holiday.  Is there any news?  I would think the LE would be keeping an eye on her, given her status of the last person to see Haleigh alive, and an uncooperative witness who knows more than she has disclosed. 

(If her stories really are complete, she may not know more because of her heavy drugging when Haleigh disappeared.)

OH for sure Misty is back in Satsuma...some of the articles posted say that she is back living with her friend Nay Nay and they are all at the Tommy Croslin residence.

Gosh, I thought maybe it took 25 minutes to count all the change they may have brought in for the bond payment.

Yeah, Misty came back from TN (visiting her grandmother) to drop the protective order against Tommy on Nov. 16. I believe.

I have also heard that Nay Nay was at Tommy's house with Misty when Tommy got arrested on a domestic violence charge against his own father on Nov. 19.

And then the father got arrested for doctor shopping on Nov. 24.

Probably could make some money setting up bets on who will be next to jail.

What a household that must be!

I really don't know how myspace works, I have avoided that venue like the plague, personally.

All I know is it is not difficult to impersonate someone on the Internet. I have seen it done over and over.

That is where we saw it a long time ago.

Why would she create another one?

That's one reason why I think it is probably someone else impersonating her.
