Finally some bonds that will keep them there for awhile.  Glad to see them moved to different jail also.  Putnam County seems to have mnay leaks. 

I reckon all the praying as come to fruitation.   Now,  surely after sitting in jail for 25 years, they will talk.  Maybe we can find out about what is really important and that is Haleigh

Now that we witnessed one miracle that Ron and Misty are in jail.....I pray to Jesus for another miracle that Haleigh is found safe... ::MonkeyAngel::

Authorities arrested the father and former stepmother of Haleigh Cummings on drug charges Wednesday.

Ronald Cummings, Misty Croslin and three others - including her brother - were jailed following an undercover narcotics investigation lasting more than a month, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

Haleigh Cummings, then 5, was reported missing early Feb. 10 from her home in Satsuma and no trace of the blond-haired youngster has been found.

Though Cummings and members of the Croslin family have crossed paths with the law in the months since Haleigh vanished, Wednesday's arrests marked the most serious development.

The charges center on buying and selling prescription drugs, said Lt. Johnny Greenwood, a sheriff's office spokesman.

"Today, the second phase of the operation was concluded," Greenwood said Wednesday night. "Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin purchased trafficking amounts of prescription medications from undercover investigators. Both individuals were immediately arrested and taken into custody without incident."

Greenwood added, "the other individuals were arrested on active arrest warrants resulting from this investigation."

The sheriff's office identified those arrested as:

n Misty Janette Croslin, 18, of Satsuma, charged with six counts of trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $950,000.

n Ronald L. Cummings, 26, of Satsuma, charged with three counts of trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $500,000.

n Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, of Satsuma, charged with one count of trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $100,000.

n Hope A. Sykes, 18, of Satsuma, charged with one count of trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $150,000.

n Donna Broch of Orlando, charged with one count of trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $250,000. Her age was unavailable.

"During the operation, investigators made several purchases of oxycodone and hydrocodone medications from these individuals," Greenwood said.

"An undercover Putnam County Sheriff's Office detective purchased large quantities of prescription medications from this group on seven separate occasions."

Street value of the drugs was estimated at $3,900.

Cummings, Misty Croslin and Broch face minimum mandatory prison terms of 25 years if convicted, while Sykes and Tommy Croslin face between three and 15 years, Greenwood said.

The drug arrests have no connection to Haleigh's disappearance, Sheriff Jeff Hardy said.

"Information was obtained that these individuals were unlawfully selling prescription medications in the community," Greenwood said. "Sheriff Hardy assigned detectives from the drug-vice unit to the investigation. An undercover Putnam County detective infiltrated this group, gaining the trust of these drug dealers."

Hardy described illegal prescription drug sales as a "precursor to many other crimes" in Putnam County.

"Prescription drug abuse is rapidly on the rise in Putnam County, and is one of the toughest crimes for law enforcement to combat," Hardy said.

Meanwhile, Greenwood said authorities are continuing to work the Haleigh case, which they have termed an abduction.

"Investigators assigned to the Haleigh Cummings investigation will take every available opportunity to speak with any individual believed to have knowledge about Haleigh Cummings' disappearance," Greenwood said.

Misty Croslin was babysitting Haleigh the night she was reported missing and later married then divorced Cummings.

The undercover operation that led to Wednesday's arrests involved personnel from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, and the State Attorney's Office.

Arrests were made about 5 p.m. in San Mateo, Satsuma and Orlando, Greenwood said.

SATSUMA, Fla. - The father and former stepmother of a missing north Florida girl have been arrested in a drug sting.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said 26-year-old Ronald Cummings and 18-year-old Misty Croslin were among several arrested Wednesday in a prescription drug trafficking sting. An undercover detective purchased nearly $4,000 worth of prescription drugs from them.

Croslin is being held on $950,000 bond. Cummings is being held on $500,000 bond.

Haleigh Cummings disappeared in early 2009 and has not been found. Misty Croslin was baby-sitting the 5-year-old girl at the time. Croslin later married Haleigh's father, but have reportedly separated

That reporter hasn't done their homework.  They didn't bond out, they were transferred to a different jail(s).

I was wondering...if Misty and Ron are finally (hoping so) looking at some long prison time and decide to 'cut a deal' with info on Haleigh, would/could this be possible?

Misty J. Croslin, the Putnam County woman whose boyfriend’s daughter disappeared reportedly under her watch in February, appeared before a judge in St. Augustine this morning after being arrested Wednesday on felony drug trafficking charges.

Police said Croslin, 18, Ronald Cummings, 26, and three other suspects sold undercover detectives prescription drugs on a number of occasions during a four-month span.

In a brief appearance, St. Johns County Judge Charles Tinlin told Croslin that her she is facing six counts of drug trafficking — five from Putnam County and one in St. Johns — and that her bond was set at $950,000.

Tinlin asked whether she could afford an attorney, and she said she could and already had a counselor.Sgt. Chuck Mulligan, a spokesman for the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, said she and two other suspects — her brother, Hank “Tommy” Croslin Jr., 23, and Donna Michelle Brock, 44, of Orlando — were being held in St. Johns because a number of the alleged transactions took place here.

Cummings and another suspect, Hope A. Sykes, 18, of Satsuma, were being held in the Putnam County jail.

Cummings’ daughter, HaLeigh Ann-Marie Cummings, was reported missing from his Satsuma home on Feb. 10. Croslin, his then live-in girlfriend, told police she woke up in the night and the girl was missing.

Let the drugs start leaving their bodies, and there will be a lot of turning on each other. If I were Crystal, I would do everything in my power to get my son, and start working on this quickly. i'm still back in the other thread but wanted to say that they estimated the street value to be 3900 which at $5 a pop avg price then it means 780... usually you pick up in even amounts so probably was 1000 if not more ... and if haleigh did get  into the stash then would they really notice up to 10 pills missing...

there was a lot of new car swapping going on during and after the time she went missing... new whit pick up maroon car that ggs bailed him out in... i think you are right about there being a connection.... a very common way to transport a lot of drugs would be in a "unowned" car being transported by tow truck... i've never met a car salesman that couldn't find drugs if they wanted to... just saying

I have to apologize to LE there in Putnam County, I really thought they had dropped the ball big time, but they didn't. Now hopefully some answers will come very soon.

I feel the same NRCG~I have always thought that on that fateful night TN arrived way too quickly and IMO someone helped them get rid of there stash.......so, surely if they were quick enough they would no doubt enable Saint Ron again. I have always thought HaLeigh died of either and accidental overdose or got caught up in the middle of a fight with Ron and Misty. If the overdose theory is true it would explain why Ron stcuk by Misty and even coached her, and TN ran her mouth about Misty being the best girlfriend ever, they knew HaLeigh was gone and having learned from the Anthony's, why lose another one. JMO of course ::MonkeyNoNo::

Wow!  Just when I thought these people were the most ridiculously stupid people on the face of the earth, they pull something like this!  Did they believe that LE enforcement just stopped watching them?  Their antics are right up there with the Anthony family for sheer idiocy.  I don't post on this thread very often, but I do follow this case.  I am inclined to think that Haleigh's disappearance was connected to the drug dealing, possibly accidental, but these people are truly awful.  I do hope so much she is found, as soon as these low lifes start turning on each other.  And this Donna Brock character...there is something hinky to nth degree about her.

I don't know-there has been speculation about her drug use too, but I have never even seen an arrest record for her on drugs IIRC. Given the choices of anyone in Ron's family (and let's face it, they all knew he was a drug head or worse and did nothing but leave the kids in his care and the care of a druggie coming off a 3 day sex/drug binge) I'd say he was better of with Crystal and Marie out of those choices.

Yesdterday around 1PM I was heading out and a Sherriffs car was at the Croslins neighbors taking prints. Todays Palatka Paper shows All who were ,allegedly, arrested and the bond levels. The PCSO is only listing Hope Sykes with a 150K bond.  ::MonkeyDevil::

When I returned home Misty was at the bus stop with JR around around 3PM. I find no record of any arrests, other than Hope Sykes, for the Cummings/Croslins for 1/20-1/21. The only record is the Palatka paper, which I have in front of me. ::MonkeyTongue::

crystal could legally go to the house and obtain jr her rights were not terminated and with ron in jail she is default custodian... hope this is her weekend to have him and she doesn't give him back... i would rather see marie with ultimate custody then ggs or tn

She said Cummings son Ronald Jr. is staying with Neves' mother.

"He's doing very well," she said.

Just got in to the office after working until 1 a.m. last night. We had late-breaking news that Ronald Cummings, the father of missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings, and Misty Croslin, her former stepmom, were arrested in a big illegal prescription pain pill bust.

It was a wild turn of events for a family that has recently made a habit of running afoul of the law. Cummings was arrested in August after deputy sheriffs said he had a fight with Hank Croslin Jr., Misty Croslin’s brother.

In October, Croslin said she was the victim of a robbery during a drug deal.  That same month, she was handcuffed after an Interstate 4 motorist said she was involved in a road rage incident in which a gun was brandished. Croslin was released and no gun was found.

Hank Croslin Jr., who was also jailed in the drug case, was arrested in September on a grand-theft charge.

To top it off, the Croslin family patriarch Hank Croslin Sr. was arrested in a doctor-shopping case.

Misty Croslin’s bail in the drug-trafficking case: $950,000. Cummings bail: $500,000.

I wonder what Haleigh’s life was like just before she disappeared from the Croslin-Cummings double-wide.  If her family’s life at the time in any way resembled their current existence, it couldn’t have been easy.

OK by now we all know that there was a lot of excitement in Putnam County or should I say the whole area between three Florida counties.

The then 17 year old babysitter/girlfriend/then bride/now divorced Misty Croslin, Ron Cummings (father of missing Haleigh Cummings from Putnam County), Hank Croslin Jr., Donna Brock, and Hope Sykes were all busted in a drug sting last night and before we could bat an eye, they were separated not only by cell rooms but by jailhouses in different counties.

Misty and her brother, Hank and Donna Brock of Orlando Florida are being held in St. John’s County jail, supposedly because a number of the alleged transactions that took place there in that county.

Ronald Cummings is being held in Flagler County and Hope Sykes of Satsuma is being held in Putnam County.

When Misty appeared in court this morning the Judge in St. Johns County made it clear to her that she was being charged with 6 counts of drug trafficking, five for which is from Putnam County and one in St. Johns County. He told her that her bond was being set at $950,000.

Now here is what shocked me and threw me for a loop. Judge Charles Tinlin asked Misty whether or not she could afford an attorney and her response to him was that she could afford one and in fact she already had one. I was like WOW! I want to be on the payroll this girl is on if she isn’t working yet she can afford an attorney. Those guys are expensive.

Now I know some people ask what does all this have to do with finding little Haleigh Cummings. Well in a way it could very well be what was needed to be done. Maybe now someone that holds the key will be singing like a bird hoping for a plea deal or something. Who knows?

It seems like every time things start to really get quiet in this case one of this gang messes up and gets arrested for something and the gossip stirs. I think maybe they all need to sit down with George and Cindy Anthony and talk. George and Cindy could give them some lessons on how to stir gossip and trouble without getting yourself locked up behind bars.

The only difference between the Anthony’s (the grandparents of the murdered Caylee Anthony from Orlando) and the Cummings/Croslin clan in my book is that the Anthony’s never get thrown in jail for what they do to cause trouble (not that they shouldn’t but for some reason they never do so there must be a secret lesson here somewhere that the clan from Putnam County could learn). In fact the Anthony’s manage to get free rooms at the Ritz Carlton Hotel and got to eat steak dinners and probably drink expensive wine. Oh and let’s not forget all the trips to New York and California to make special appearances on TV news shows and a nice vacation on a cruise ship for the family for what was it, 3 or 4 days? Oh well I say family but of course Casey didn’t get to go. While they were out on the deck of the boat getting a suntan Casey was sitting behind bars all alone. How sad is that? Anyway I will not go there right now, but honestly the Cummings/Croslin clan needs to take lessons. If they want publicity why don’t they go out as a team and find Haleigh? That would get their names in print and their faces plastered all over the TV and internet and it won’t cost them thousands of dollars like going to jail does.

Do they honestly even think about Haleigh anymore? Well if they don’t WE do and WE want this precious little girl found. If anyone knows anything that will lead the Putnam County Sheriff’s office to find her PLEASE report it so she can come home. America waits patiently (OK well some maybe not so patiently but they still wait) for her to be found. I pray that the latest activities in Putnam County will wake someone up and make them realize NOW is the time to speak up.

Tipster led to drug trafficking charges against missing Haleigh Cummings' father and former stepmother

A tipster led Putnam County officials to suspect that the father and former stepmother of missing Satsuma girl Haleigh Cummings were involved in prescription drug trafficking, officials say.

That's when they arranged to have an undercover detective purchase more than 300 pills – in the oxycodone and hydrocodone families – during seven recent controlled buys, according to Lt. Johnny Greenwood with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

"It was our undercover detective that infiltrated the group," Greenwood said today.

Now, Ronald Cummings, 26, and Misty Croslin, 18, could face a minimum-mandatory sentence of 25 years in state prison after their arrests on multiple counts of trafficking in prescription medications, according to a news release sent out by the sheriff's office Wednesday.

The father and former stepmother of the missing girl were among five people arrested Wednesday in the prescription drug trafficking sting, Putnam County deputy sheriffs said.

Haleigh Cummings, then 5, captured national headlines when she disappeared from her father Ronald Cummings' double-wide trailer in February.

Croslin was baby-sitting the girl while Cummings was working a night shift. She told investigators that she woke up and realized Haleigh was gone about 3:30 a.m.

There were no signs of forced entry, and the back door was ajar. At the time, Croslin was Cummings' girlfriend. They have since married and divorced.

Haleigh's body has not been found and there have been no arrests in her disappearance.

Today, Greenwood said the drug case and the case involving Haleigh's disappearance remain separate, but he expects the two investigations to intersect at some point in the future.

"These two investigations will collide," Greenwood said. "Their paths will cross eventually."

However, he said it was not the investigation's intent to develop the drug case in order to make progress on the young girl's disappearance, which is approaching its one-year anniversary.

"Hopefully, something will come out of it on the Haleigh side, but that was not the intention," Greenwood said. "This was totally unrelated. It was a very good narcotics case."

Misty Croslin was particularly active in the prescription drug operation, officials said. As in many other parts of Florida and the country, prescription drugs have become a growing problem in Putnam County and nearby counties.

"She [Misty Croslin] was involved in all of them [the drug purchases]," Greenwood said. "She was the common denominator in all seven buys."

Felony warrants obtained by the Orlando Sentinel today indicate that Misty Croslin was found selling or holding oxycodone and hydrocodone in Putnam and St. Johns counties on several occasions last month and this month. Twice she had or sold more than 28 grams of the drug, the warrants state.

Since the missing child's case drew national attention in early February, Croslin has been no stranger to the law. In October, Palatka police said she was robbed while trying to buy drugs in that town.

When asked about the familiarity of Misty Croslin and Ronald Cummings and their alleged dealing, Greenwood said, "They've been in the media spotlight since Day One."

The Cummings and Croslin arrests this week were part of a month-long investigation by the Putnam Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, a federal drug taskforce and the 7th Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office, according to the release.

The undercover Putnam County detective purchased $3,900 worth of drugs from Croslin and Cummings, as well as Hank Thomas "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, Hope A. Sykes, 18, and Donna Brock, deputy sheriffs said.

Hank Croslin and Sykes are from Satsuma. Brock is from Orlando. Her age was not immediately available.

Hank Croslin is Misty Croslin's brother, Greenwood said.

On Wednesday, undercover investigators purchased what the deputy sheriffs described as "trafficking amounts" of prescription drugs from Cummings and Misty Croslin. They were taken into custody without incident.

Deputy sheriffs did not say whether they plan to interview the drug suspects in Haleigh's disappearance.

"Investigators assigned to the Haleigh Cummings investigation will take every available opportunity to speak with any individual believed to have knowledge about Haleigh Cummings' disappearance," the release stated.

Misty Croslin faces six counts of trafficking in prescription medication. She is being held on $950,000 bail. Cummings is being held on $500,000 bail for three counts of the same charge.

Hank Croslin, Sykes and Brock face one count each of the trafficking charge. Hank Croslin's bail is $100,000; Sykes is $150,000; Brock's is $250,000 bail.

Each defendant had initial appearances this morning and their bail amounts were kept the same, according to State Attorney's Office spokesman Chris Kelly.

Ronald Cummings is held at the Flagler County Jail. Misty Croslin, Hank Croslin and Brock are held at the St. Johns County Jail; and Sykes is in the Putnam County Jail, Kelly said.

Haleigh Cummings Update – TES Responds About Donna Brock

Both WSKY and BNN reported the multiple arrests of people associated with the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings last night. It was a fast and furious few hours. Both TJ Hart of WSKY and BNN were burning the midnight oil.

The one thing that I have learned from reporting on this case is that you have to expect the unexpected. The PCSO in someways are like a sleeping bear, they almost seem to be hibernating for weeks, or even months at a time. But when they wake up, all hell breaks loose.

Last nights arrests, and huge bond amounts are proof of this. As the story was breaking we reported that Misty Croslin was being held on a $750,000 bond, that number has actually jumped, her bond is now just under $1,000,000.

Haleigh’s father Ronald Cummings sits in jail with a mere $500,000 problem. Rat Boy Tommy Croslin only has a $100,000 bond problem,

The really interesting name in last nights adventures is Donna Brock. This is the Texas Equusearch lady that wined, dined, and pampered Misty Croslin on Tim Miller’s expense account. Miller has been somewhat coy as to where the money came from to give Donna the money for Misty Croslin’s  fabulous vacation. He has said that it came from his own wallet. That likely is true, but how did the money make it into his wallet? Indirectly it seems a possibility that his organization might have financed a wild weekend for Misty and Donna.

TES has wasted no time to distance themselves from Donna Brock. This is the woman that Tim Miller claimed to be the very bastion of righteousness. Donna, according to interviews on cable TV was a much truanted member of TES.

TES wasted no time in publishing Donna Brock’s ‘resignation’ letter. The only problem is that it was not written by Donna Brock! She apparently did not resign, she was fired! This leads to another question, was she a volunteer or a staff member? Generally you just tell a volunteer that you thank them for their efforts, but you no longer require their efforts.

You can read the whole letter, but the statements that caught my interest were:

          Please allow this letter to serve as your official termination from Texas
    EquuSearch. This was a unanimous decision reached by the Board of Directors.
    Accordingly, you are to no longer represent yourself as being a member of Texas
    EquuSearch, a volunteer of Texas EquuSearch, or in any way affiliated with Texas
    EquuSearch.

This wording is serious, yet also nebulous. It does not actually claim that she was on the payroll.

The second, and last paragraph says:

            A formal request is being made herein for you to return any t-shirts, hats,
    identification badge or anything else in your possession with the Texas EquuSearch
    logo or artwork to this office at the above address immediately.

How can a trusted person like Donna become the scapegoat? Actually it is pretty simple to understand. On October the 3rd I reported this story. Now by my estimations this was almost four weeks prior to the letter of termination. What happened?

It is easy to understand why Tim Miller and TES wants to distance themselves from Donna Brock. She has become a huge iceberg in the ocean of fund-raising for the organization.

There are some people that question the integrity of Tim Miller and his organization and the Donna Brock letter is a great example. Within less than 28 days she went from being the ‘pet’ of the organization to someone that required removal. Tim Miller made lots of hay with the story about ‘his’ Donna Brock’ helping crack the Haleigh Cummings story. Nancy Grace was on it like ‘white on rice’ (well once it was explained to her).

So what went wrong? Why did Donna Brock find herself on the outs? One day she is Tim Millers best buddy, the next she is toast!

A standing joke in the industry about Tim Miller… nah, this is not the time nor place. It will come out, and maybe Donna Brock will be the person that reveals it. Sitting in jail with a $250,000 bond problem does give people lots of time to reflect. Will she spill the beans?

maybe she just thinks she does.... or maybe she is doing what a lot of inmates do to bide their time and prolong things.... they say they have one but they don't so then they reapply for a free one but thay \already waived their rights so then they are granted more time before a trial to obtain one... i've seen this done many times for people on trial and incarcerated awaiting trail for murder and for people on trial for minor things that are not incarcerated... not sure why but i have a feeling that as of then she did not have one... you are allowed 1 phone call before arraignment who did she call even if she called someone productive they would have had to call the atty and then get back to her with the response from the atty... unless she has an atty's phone number by memory and has already paid him a retainer prior to yesterday she doesn't have one... even if it were pro bono new atty how would she know that... you cannot meet with your client until they are arraigned as far as i know... she was just being held she was not in real jail as of last night you don't get visitors at 11pm from atty's you've never met

i've been reading about misty supposedly having a nc cell phone... could this possibly be the one that tim miller provided? if so and if he was the actual owner of the phone then he has the right to the cell records...
also read somewhere that supposedly misty's phone was tapped... not sure if that is true or not but it sounds plausible as to why misty was the common denominator in all the transactions... ok here is my point in order to get a tap on a phone you need good cause it is actually really hard to get a judge to sign off on a wire tap... is there more to misty's phone being tapped then what we are hearing about as of now... did they tap it for haleigh reasons and then stumble on the drug thing? if they did tap it for haleigh reasons i think there is a lot more that we are not yet hearing about going on behind the scenes... again i am speculating that what i read of her phone being tapped is true but you do not get a warrant for a phone tap because one person said you are a drug dealer

All lawyers, as officers of the court, have an obligation to refrain from filing frivolous pleadings or papers, and may be subject to court-imposed sanctions for having done so.  This is an area that falls within the exercise of professional judgment by the lawyer, and is not appropriate as a reason for discipline to be imposed.

when i had a chance to check out her myspace when it was still public i immediately knew she was a shady weirdo... i'm sure she was on pain meds way before this... from my observations of people i have known, pill heads are usually very productive it's when you start mixing in the weed that they turn into lazy heroin looking addicts i know several non junkie but definitely addicted (and what i mean by that is they have their own bs scripts and don't have to buy off the streets) and they are the most outgoing and functional people i know actually... sounds weird but tere have been times that when they tell me all the places they brought their kids that weekend and all the errands and cleaning they did i'm thinking in my head holy chit are you so doped out that you don't realize you are going a million miles an hour and you should be exhausted... for some and in my personal experience pain pills motivate people not keep them down... but like i said throw some weed in the mix and they are absolutely useless

I don't know, but I think that when you are changing the custody by filing a petition instead of just a modification you have a harder bar to cross. My friend lost custody of her kids to their dad because he had ALL the cash and she had nothing (sometimes that makes a huge difference) and she filed many times to get custody once it was when he was indicted by a grand jury for bank fraud and the judge STILL denied it, but once he was sentenced to prison they went straight to her..........oh yeah, she had some drug and alcohol troubles stemming from having her children ripped from her, but she overcame those issues but her issues never rose to the level of being arrested on multiple counts of drugs, trafficking etc like Ron. Poor lil thing, he just got so suckered in by those evil womens ::MonkeyShovel::

i don't think family court would pay too much attention to that they might just see it as a lawyer scorned... plus kim announced many times tat te only reason they weren't going for custody was because the focus should be on haleigh she also filed numerous complaints with dcf about the cummings house hold... bottom line is ron only got those kids because he claimed he didn't sell or use drugs he claimed he was no violent he claimed that he supported his own household he claimed that his mother would be the babysitter and the only reason he actually had them in the first place was because he refused to give them back to crystal and believe it or not posession is a big factor...
what has changed since then he started banging the second underage girl who he lets babysit and the end result is kid #1 goes "missing" if not dead he then marrys her during which time he had a violent incident with tommy supposedly over misty getting abused he then a rat end up in a mailbox... he threatens her life to tim miller he decides to divorce her yet still hangs out with her in the meantime misty is robbed during a drug transaction accused of running someone off the road... then they accuse a well know drug dealers father of trying to run them off the road while there were minors in the car and then they are all rounded up and arrested for traficking... that means ron interacts with drug dealers and addicts...
bottom line is a lot has changed and ron's true colors cannot be overlooked this time
also at the time of kp's involvement dcf hadn't even concluded their investigation iirc and even if crystal was squeaky clean it would not have been the right time to launch another custody trial... too many unanswerable issues would have come upand too many loose ends like should she also go for custody of haleigh who was still missing? is that even possible in the first place? imo kim was only in it for herself and instead of her clients best interest she had her's in mind the entire time

Haleigh Cummings Update – TES Responds About Donna Brock

Both WSKY and BNN reported the multiple arrests of people associated with the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings last night. It was a fast and furious few hours. Both TJ Hart of WSKY and BNN were burning the midnight oil.

The one thing that I have learned from reporting on this case is that you have to expect the unexpected. The PCSO in someways are like a sleeping bear, they almost seem to be hibernating for weeks, or even months at a time. But when they wake up, all hell breaks loose.

Last nights arrests, and huge bond amounts are proof of this. As the story was breaking we reported that Misty Croslin was being held on a $750,000 bond, that number has actually jumped, her bond is now just under $1,000,000.

Haleigh’s father Ronald Cummings sits in jail with a mere $500,000 problem. Rat Boy Tommy Croslin only has a $100,000 bond problem,

The really interesting name in last nights adventures is Donna Brock. This is the Texas Equusearch lady that wined, dined, and pampered Misty Croslin on Tim Miller’s expense account. Miller has been somewhat coy as to where the money came from to give Donna the money for Misty Croslin’s  fabulous vacation. He has said that it came from his own wallet. That likely is true, but how did the money make it into his wallet? Indirectly it seems a possibility that his organization might have financed a wild weekend for Misty and Donna.

TES has wasted no time to distance themselves from Donna Brock. This is the woman that Tim Miller claimed to be the very bastion of righteousness. Donna, according to interviews on cable TV was a much truanted member of TES.

TES wasted no time in publishing Donna Brock’s ‘resignation’ letter. The only problem is that it was not written by Donna Brock! She apparently did not resign, she was fired! This leads to another question, was she a volunteer or a staff member? Generally you just tell a volunteer that you thank them for their efforts, but you no longer require their efforts.

You can read the whole letter, but the statements that caught my interest were:

          Please allow this letter to serve as your official termination from Texas
    EquuSearch. This was a unanimous decision reached by the Board of Directors.
    Accordingly, you are to no longer represent yourself as being a member of Texas
    EquuSearch, a volunteer of Texas EquuSearch, or in any way affiliated with Texas
    EquuSearch.

This wording is serious, yet also nebulous. It does not actually claim that she was on the payroll.

The second, and last paragraph says:

            A formal request is being made herein for you to return any t-shirts, hats,
    identification badge or anything else in your possession with the Texas EquuSearch
    logo or artwork to this office at the above address immediately.

How can a trusted person like Donna become the scapegoat? Actually it is pretty simple to understand. On October the 3rd I reported this story. Now by my estimations this was almost four weeks prior to the letter of termination. What happened?

It is easy to understand why Tim Miller and TES wants to distance themselves from Donna Brock. She has become a huge iceberg in the ocean of fund-raising for the organization.

There are some people that question the integrity of Tim Miller and his organization and the Donna Brock letter is a great example. Within less than 28 days she went from being the ‘pet’ of the organization to someone that required removal. Tim Miller made lots of hay with the story about ‘his’ Donna Brock’ helping crack the Haleigh Cummings story. Nancy Grace was on it like ‘white on rice’ (well once it was explained to her).

So what went wrong? Why did Donna Brock find herself on the outs? One day she is Tim Millers best buddy, the next she is toast!

A standing joke in the industry about Tim Miller… nah, this is not the time nor place. It will come out, and maybe Donna Brock will be the person that reveals it. Sitting in jail with a $250,000 bond problem does give people lots of time to reflect. Will she spill the beans?

They were moved to jails outside of Putnam County because of past security issues with the jail and because of their notoriety, Greenwood said. Cummings and Misty Croslin were placed in separate jails to avoid the possibility of communication between them.

A representative of a law firm that has represented Cummings in the past said the firm has not spoken to Cummings or to law enforcement since the arrest.

Drug Arrests

On the afternoon of Friday January 8, 2009 the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tri-County Drug Taskforce with assistance from the Palatka Police Department Street Crimes Unit and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit conducted a drug investigation into the illegal distribution of roxycodone within Palatka. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Lee Latrill Hall age 24 of Palatka and Ceazer Bullard age 49 of Palatka. Investigators stopped a vehicle occupied by Hall and Bullard and found a large amount of roxycodone and suspected crack cocaine. The roxycodone was approximately 61 grams (480) pills, street value of $12,600.00 and the crack cocaine was in excess of 51 grams, street value in excess of $4,000.00. Hall was charged with trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in roxycodone , fleeing and attempting to elude and driving on a suspended drivers license. Bullard was charged with trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in roxycodone. Both were held at the Putnam County Jail with no bond.

first of all donna was a sketch ball i knew it from day one just by looking at her myspace and yes i assume the crap out of things but i'm usually right i am a good judge of character and so is tim... yes she was a volunteer so why would she be on the payroll? and the letter does not fire her it asks her to not affiliate herself with them whatsoever... they even asked for the t shirts back... could this have anything to do with the hundreds of search pictures she posted on her myspace that should have never even been taken?
the brock confession arose and it went down like this according to tim... brock had befriended misty at the voice lie tests and a plan was hatched to keep brock on her good side get more chummy with her and she would report back anythhing she found out.... it never said whose idea this plan was and imo i wouldn't doubt it if it was brock's idea in the first place to get some vacation cash for her and her new pill buddy misty...

also what is strange is this # comes up as a landline not a cell when you do a reverse look up on whitepages.com i use that sigt quite often for work and i know they make mistakes as to assuming possible household members etc  etc but i have NEVER known them to make a mistake between a landline and a cell phone... the only thing i could even possibly think of is those newer cells that are esentially a home phone they have a base that you plug into your wall like a cordless would and are billed as a home phone until you leave the area of your home at which point they become cellular and incur cell phone status and charges... i forget who puts themout it was either verizon or at&t i think and it was a new fad last year that didn't really catch on

Haleigh Cummings' father, former stepmom in trouble again

The father and former stepmother of missing Putnam County girl Haleigh Cummings are back in trouble, this time on charges of trafficking in controlled prescription medications.

Ronald  Cummings, Misty Croslin, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., Hope A. Sykes and Donna M. Brock, were arrested Wednesday night following a month-long undercover investigation led by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, according to a news release issued just after 11 p.m. by the agency.

An undercover officer purchased large quantities of oxycodone and hydrocodone seven times in Putnam and St. Johns counties, the release said. The estimated street value of the drugs is $3,900.

Cummings and Misty Croslin were arrested Wednesday after prescription medications were purchased from investigators. The others were arrested on warrants, according to the news release.

Misty Croslin, 18, faces six counts of trafficking in prescription medications, while Ronald Cummings, 26, is charged with three counts. Hank Croslin Jr., who is Misty's brother, Sykes and Brock each face one count of trafficking in prescription medications. All but Brock are from Satsuma. Brock is from Orlando and was with Misty when they were pulled over in October in Central Florida accused of road rage. Sykes is Cummings' cousin.

Misty Croslin and Hank Croslin Jr. are in the St. Johns County jail; Ronald Cummings is in the Flagler County jail. Misty Croslin is being held on $950,000 bail; Cummings, $500,000; Brock, $250,000; Sykes, $150,000; and Hank Croslin Jr., $100,000.

At an afternoon news conference Dominick Pape, special agent-in-charge of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement office in Jacksonville, said an investigation into where the prescription medication came from is still occurring and more arrests are expected.

The investigation began because they had information that this group was selling prescription medication. But Pape declined to get into specifics on where that information came from.

Ronald Cummings, Misty Croslin and Donna Brock face minimum mandatory sentences of 25 years in state prison if convicted. The others face minimum sentences ranging from three years to 15 years in state prison.

The Croslins had a brief court appearance in St. Johns County this morning. Judge Charles Tinlin asked whether she could afford an attorney, and she said she already had one. Cummings was in court in Flagler County.

Cummings and his former wife had been seeing each other occasionally and were to meet Wednesday about 5 p.m.after he finished working at a tree trimming job, his mother, Teresa Neves, said.

She said she believes her son and niece were staying in contact with Misty Croslin in the hopes of learning what happened to Haleigh.

"They didn't see a lot of each other," she said.

She said she believes the arrest of her former daughter-in-law could mean a break in the case.

"I think she will talk with the hopes of getting out," Neves said.

She believes Misty Croslin's bail was set purposely high to keep her locked up.

"Maybe she'll flip and tell us where Haliegh is," she said. "That is the only [good] thing that can come out of this."

She said she did not know the roles all those who were arrested played in the drug case but thinks Misty Croslin was at it's center.

"He shouldn't have been talking to Misty Croslin," she said. "She brought his butt into this."

She said early Thursday it was unlikely that the family would be able to afford a bond to release Cummings, but plans to mark the year anniversary of Haleigh's disappearance were still going forward.

"Hopefully Misty will talk and Haleigh will come home," she said.

She said Cummings son Ronald Jr. is staying with Neves' mother.

"He's doing very well," she said.

Cummings is the father of 6-year-old Haleigh, who disappeared in early 2009 and has not been found. Misty Croslin, who was the last person to see Haleigh before she disappeared, later married Cummings, but the two divorced months later.

Putnam authorities did not comment on how the arrests may affect the investigation into Haleigh's disappearance, but the news release indicated those now in jail may be further interviewed in the case.

"As stated in previous releases, investigators assigned to the Haleigh Cummings investigation will take every available opportunity to speak with any individual believed to have knowledge about Haleigh Cummings' disappearance," the release said.

Obviously the bond amounts are the result of the number of charges that each one has.  This maybe the number of times that they had made a sale/deal/whatever you want to call it with the undercover LE.   I am sure there have been numerous deals carried out, but need the 'goods and witness' to prove it.

Onto Donna Brock.  Some are saying how did she 'all of a sudden' get involved.  I feel that Donna has been involved for quite a long time in the sale of drugs.  Just cause your an everyday average person  and meet up with the Croslins and Misty does not all of a sudden put you as a DRUG TRAFFICKER.  I am sure she was well involved prior to this arrest and very well could be the main reason that Tim Miller released her from TES.

However, do you think that Donna was contacted by Tim Miller (acting along with PCSO) to get more involved with this bunch and help them nail their arses??

Police said Croslin, 18, Ronald Cummings, 26, and three other suspects sold undercover detectives prescription drugs on a number of occasions during a four-month span.

I suspect Donna was involved in this for the entire four months.

I think Tim dismissed Donna as soon as he got wind of her not acting appropriately. Way back in the beginning of October.

JACKSONVILLE -- Three people connected to a Putnam County girl who disappeared last February are behind bars, charged with illegally trafficking prescription drugs.

One of them is Ronald Cummings, the girl’s father.

Dominick Pape, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s special agent in charge, warned the press he would not discuss the connection between Haleigh Cummings’ disappearance and Wednesday's arrests.

Haleigh vanished Feb. 10, 2009.

"I'm not going to address any questions as it relates to the Haleigh Cummings investigation," Pape said.

The last known person to see Haleigh was Misty Croslin, who at the time was Ronald Cummings girlfriend.

Ronald was arrested along with Misty's brother Hank Croslin.

Ronald and Misty married, but filed for a divorce late last year.

These arrests are part of a undercover tri-county prescription drug trafficking operation involving Oxycodone and Hydrocodone.

If convicted, Cummings could serve 43 years in prison, while Croslin could be behind bars for 74 years.

Croslin told Putnam County Sheriff's deputies she was in bed with Haleigh the night she vanished, and when she left the bedroom for an instant, Haleigh was gone.

At one time, Croslin was a person of interest in the disappearance.

An un-named source close to the investigation told News 13 officials will use mandatory prison time Croslin is facing to try to get more information from her regarding Haleigh’s disappearance.

However, FDLE officials would not comment on this information.

"(Are you using that to try to get more information?) No this is about prescription pills. (Certainly the conversation has come up though?) It's about prescription pills sir," Pape said.
 
Croslin sits in a St. Johns County jail, while Cummings was taken to the Flagler County Jail.

"Because of their names and their notoriety, we have to be concerned for their safety,” Pape said.
 
Two other people were also arrested as part of the undercover operation.

the brock confession arose and it went down like this according to tim... brock had befriended misty at the voice lie tests and a plan was hatched to keep brock on her good side get more chummy with her and she would report back anythhing she found out.... it never said whose idea this plan was and imo i wouldn't doubt it if it was brock's idea in the first place to get some vacation cash for her and her new pill buddy misty...

Also, I read that they put Ron in Flagler County as he is high profile. Give me a break. Reporters can drive to Flagler just as easily as St. John or Putnum County. IMHO, Misty is the one who is high profile.

“They’re gone for years,” said Lindsy  Croslin, of possible sentences faced by her 18-year-old sister-in-law and others charged in the case. That includes her husband Hank Croslin Jr., Cummings’ cousin Hope A. Sykes and Misty Croslin’s friend Donna M. Brock.
“She’s going to lose her whole life over this,” Lindsy Croslin said of Misty.
The five were charged following the monthlong investigation that involved 330 pills of oxycodone and hydrocodone. One undercover agent bought drugs several times then offered to sell pills before the arrests were made. The estimated street value was $3,900.

Misty Croslin is being held on $950,000 bail; Cummings, $500,000; Brock, $250,000; Sykes, $150,000; and Croslin Jr., $100,000.
Misty Croslin faces six counts of trafficking in prescription medications, while Cummings, 26, is charged with three counts. Croslin Jr., Sykes and Brock each face one count of trafficking in prescription medications. All but Brock are from Satsuma. Brock is from Orlando and was with Misty when they were pulled over in October in Central Florida accused of road rage.

At an afternoon news conference, Dominick Pape, special agent-in-charge of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement office in Jacksonville, said an investigation into where the prescription medication came from is still occurring and more arrests are expected.

Misty Croslin faces 74 years in prison if she is convicted of all six counts and the maximum sentence is imposed, said Lt. Johnny Greenwood of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, which led the operation after a tip from the street. Cummings faces a possible 43 years in prison.

Greenwood said the drug investigation was kept separate from the search for answers in the disappearance of Haleigh, who was 5 when she vanished from the double-wide mobile home in Satsuma that Cummings and Misty Croslin shared with Haleigh and his then 3-year-old son, Ronald Jr.
Haleigh, whose disappearance was reported in a 3:27 a.m. 911 call on Feb. 10 remains missing.

It is the first time Misty Croslin has been arrested, her family said Thursday at their mobile home in Satsuma about a block from where she and Cummings lived.
For almost a year, detectives have said she is the key to the case as her stories have been inconsistent. Greenwood said detectives in Haleigh’s case will be asking her and the others arrested what they know.
“It’s really too early in the case to know if it is the break,” Greenwood said. “I’m going to be honest, we hope [it is].”

Palatka attorney Robert Fields, who has represented Misty Croslin during the investigation, said he was able to speak with her briefly Wednesday night.
“It’s still evolving,” he said. Fields said whether the drug case has any relation to the Haleigh investigation is up for speculation.
“Intelligent people can differ on that, so we’ll see what happens,” he said.

In a roller-coaster relationship, Misty Croslin married Cummings in a backyard ceremony at his grandmother’s not long after Haleigh disappeared. The relationship deteriorated and the couple divorced.
The two had begun seeing each other again, though family members of the two differ on what the relationship means.
“He shouldn’t have been talking to Misty Croslin,” said Cummings mother, Teresa Neves. “She brought his butt into this.”
Cummings and his former wife had been seeing each other occasionally and were to meet Wednesday about 5 p.m. after he finished working at a tree-trimming job, Neves said.
She said she believes her son and Sykes were staying in contact with Misty Croslin in the hopes of learning what happened to Haleigh.
“They didn’t see a lot of each other,” she said.
She said she the arrest of her former daughter-in-law could mean a break.
“I think she will talk with the hopes of getting out,” Neves said.

One of my husbands nephews went to prison for dealing drugs and he got a 10 year sentenced and only did 2 years of it and was right back out on the streets....I really do not expect these people to do much time at all...But maybe it will scare them into talking anyway ....

In addition to Croslin and Cummings, three others were charged: Croslin's brother, Hank Thomas "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, of Satsuma; Cummings' cousin, Hope A. Sykes, 18, of Satsuma; and Donna Michelle Brock, 44, of Orlando.

The three were each charged with one count of trafficking prescription medication, though their bonds varied.

Hank Croslin's was set at $100,000, Sykes' at $150,000 and Brock's at $250,000.

While Putnam County police led the investigation, some of the alleged transactions were in St. Johns County, meaning some suspects would be prosecuted in St. Johns, said Sgt. Chuck Mulligan, a spokesman for the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

Separate jails

The Croslins and Brock were being held at the St. Johns County jail, while Sykes was being held in Putnam County.

Cummings was at the Flagler County jail because police wanted to keep him and his ex-wife separated.

The Sheriff's Office said that, on seven occasions, undercover investigators purchased the painkillers Oxycodone and Hydrocodone from the suspects and estimated the "street value" of the drugs at $3,900.

On Wednesday, according to a news release, Cummings and Croslin "purchased trafficking amounts of prescription medications from undercover investigators" and were immediately arrested.

During each alleged drug deal, Misty Croslin was involved, Greenwood said.

"The only common denominator in all of them was Misty."

Seven deals

While there were seven transactions, Croslin was charged in six. However, Greenwood said it was likely she would be charged in the seventh as well.

Croslin, Cummings and Brock would face a minimum of 25 years in prison if convicted.

Hank Croslin and Sykes are facing 15 years in prison.

Misty Croslin told County Judge Charles J. Tinlin at her first appearance in court Thursday that she had an attorney, Robert Fields, and had been in touch with him Wednesday.

He had represented her in the past, he said, and might be her attorney again.

"For right now, I am (representing Croslin), but I haven't formally filed a notice of appearance yet," Fields said Thursday afternoon.

Fields said he would try to visit Croslin at the jail either today or over the weekend.

St. Augustine attorney Terry Shoemaker worked with Ronald Cummings as the search for HaLeigh developed but knew very little Thursday about the latest charges.

"I'm not sure if we represent him on this or not," said Shoemaker. "I have to make an appointment to see him, and that won't be before (today)."

Shoemaker and partner Dan Mowrey were set to visit Cummings when they got a call from the jail Thursday.

Visit delayed

They were told all the times had been booked up in the jail's only two conference rooms, so they scheduled time for today.

While Greenwood said the cases were unrelated, Cummings' mother, Teresa Neves, told reporters she believes Croslin's bail was set purposely high to keep her locked up.

Cummings and his former wife had been seeing each other occasionally and were to meet Wednesday about 5 p.m. after he finished working at a tree-trimming job, Neves said.

She said she believes her son was staying in contact with Croslin in hopes of learning what happened to HaLeigh and hoped the arrest of her former daughter-in-law could mean a break.

"Maybe she'll flip and tell us where HaLeigh is," she said. "That is the only [good] thing that can come out of this."

Greenwood said that while police have no reason to connect the alleged drug ring with HaLeigh's disappearance, detectives hope to re-interview the suspects.

"As many times as we get to, we're going to until we get a resolution in this case," Greenwood said.

For Croslin, latest twist is in stark jail room

With half a dozen TV news cameras pointed her way, Misty Croslin bowed her head and sat quietly -- save for a few sniffles -- as she waited for the judge.

Over the past 345 days, the mousy, petite 18-year-old has become accustomed to being in the spotlight, though it might have been the brightest yet Thursday.

With shackles around her dainty wrists and legs, Croslin was led into a sterile room at the St. Johns County jail where she appeared before a judge via closed-circuit television, and members of the media.

By Thursday evening, the story of her and her ex-husband's arrests was being discussed at length on the Headline News channel, alongside Brittany Murphy's death and Tiger Woods' infidelities.

After telling her that her bond had been set at $950,000, County Judge Charles J. Tinlin asked, "What do you do for a living, ma'am?"

"Nothing," she replied.

"I'm sorry?"

"Nothing."

"How do you support yourself?"

"My mom and my dad."

At about 3 a.m. on Feb. 10, Croslin called police to say she woke up and found that her then-boyfriend's 5-year-old daughter was missing. She said she put HaLeigh and her boyfriend's other child to bed at about 10 p.m., and that was the last anyone has seen the girl.

After a day, national media outlets began to take interest in the case.

A few months later, Croslin, then 17, and Ronald Cummings, 26, were married.

After a few months, the two divorced.

Off and on, Croslin, Cummings and other members of their families have had run-ins with police, but none has had to do with the disappearance of the little blonde whom the world knows as a smiling child mugging for photographs.

With every arrest or allegation, stories were printed and cameras reappeared, giving police all the more publicity in their quest for HaLeigh.

But, in the 11-plus months since her disappearance, there has been little progress, at least in the public eye. On Thursday, the eye reopened.

Croslin's brother, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, was also arrested and is facing one count of trafficking prescription drugs.

Before the hearing, a deputy briefly brought him into the jail's mini-courtroom before leading him back out.

"I don't really like having all these people taking my pictures, man," Hank Croslin told the deputy.

"You don't have a choice," the deputy said. "You're out of choices."

Things should begin to get interesting today. If Misty is a chronic opiate abuser she will become very uncomfortable today as she begins to detox. I pray she will disclose the information that has been hidden all these months. It is time for those who care about Haleigh to know what happened that night in February.

I am so HAPPY to hear that Jr. is finally back with his mother Crystal!  It is just too bad and so sad that Haleigh wasnt able to see this day too.  It is a shame that the system didnt work for Crystal before the turn of events, Haleight didnt stand a chance living with Ronald.

The father of missing Putnam County girl Haleigh Cummings and his ex-wife were among five people arrested Wednesday after a monthlong investigation into the trafficking of prescription medications, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office reported.

Family members and officers said they hope the arrests could lead to a break in the Feb. 10 disappearance of Haleigh.

Arrested were Ronald L. Cummings, 26; Misty Croslin, 18; her brother, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23; and Hope A. Sykes, 18, all of Satsuma; and Donna Brock, 44, of Orlando.

"We had a source that said they were dealing large amounts of prescription drugs. We are talking amounts that could get 25 years in prison," Lt. Johnny Greenwood said. "We do not know where they were getting the drugs from. We want to see how much further this investigation can go in that regard."

Investigators allege they purchased oxycodone and hydrocodone from the five on seven different occasions. The estimated street value of the drugs was $3,900, the Sheriff's Office reported.
Cummings is the father of Haleigh Cummings, who disappeared from the home she shared with him and his then-girlfriend, Misty Croslin, in Satsuma.

Misty Croslin has said she was home alone with the girl, then 5, and the child's younger brother when the girl vanished overnight. No trace of Haleigh has been reported since, in spite of an intensive and repeated search in the area and numerous tips.

"We certainly hope that something good is going to come out of all of this bad. I'm thinking that with the time [in prison] that Misty is looking at, she is going to talk now. That's what we're hoping and praying for," said Teresa Neves, Cummings' mother. "We'd like to have Haleigh home."

(CNN) -- The father of missing child Haleigh Cummings and his ex-wife have been arrested on drug-trafficking charges in Florida, authorities said.

Ronald Cummings, 26, faces three counts of trafficking prescription medication -- including Oxycodone and Hydrocodone. He is being held in jail on $500,000 bond, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

Misty Croslin, 18, faces six counts of trafficking prescription medication and is jailed on $950,000 bond.

The former couple was arrested Wednesday along with three others after allegedly selling about $3,900 worth of drugs to undercover officers, sheriff's officials said.

Cummings, Croslin and the others made brief court appearances Thursday morning, said Lt. Johnny Greenwood. But the court clerk's office said it had not yet received information about whether they had been assigned attorneys.
An undercover investigation was launched after authorities received information about suspected drug dealing, Greenwood said. He added that this probe was separate from the investigation into Haleigh's disappearance.
"Even though these are totally separate, they are parallel cases, and there's no doubt in my mind these cases will cross some day," Greenwood said. "I hope that somewhere through this, the investigators in the Haleigh case will find the information they need."

Two of the counts against Croslin are felonies that carry mandatory 25-year sentences if she is convicted, Greenwood added.

Haleigh Cummings, then 5, vanished February 9 from the couple's Satsuma, Florida, mobile home. Misty Croslin was the last person known to have seen Haleigh the night she disappeared.

She said she tucked Haleigh and her 4-year-old brother into bed about 8 p.m. and went to sleep herself two hours later. She awoke at 3 a.m. to find the girl missing and a cinder block propping open a back door.

Ronald Cummings called police and reported his daughter missing when he returned from work at dawn.
onald Cummings and Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh's mother, are not considered suspects, police said.

Investigators said in a statement last August that they believe Croslin "continues to hold important answers in the case" but has not provided "any sort of detailed accounting of the hours during the late evening and early morning of Haleigh's disappearance."

Investigators also said that physical evidence contradicts Croslin's account.

Croslin has not been named a person of interest or suspect in Haleigh's disappearance. In televised interviews, she has said she does not know what happened to the little girl but believes "the other side of the family" knows where she is.

JACKSONVILLE - Officials reaffirmed Thursday the arrests of the father and former stepmother of Haleigh Cummings are not connected to the 5-year-old's disappearance.

Ronald Cummings, Misty Croslin and three others, including her brother, were jailed Wednesday following a monthlong undercover narcotics investigation that involved the trafficking of Hydrocodone and Oxycodone within St. Johns and Putnam counties.

"This is just phase one of the culmination of (Wednesday) night," Dominick Pape, special agent in charge of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Jacksonville, said Thursday. "There will be a lot more investigation now and we will be analyzing all of the evidence that was seized upon arrest of all the subjects."

The arrests were made after Cummings, 26, and Croslin, 18, purchased trafficking amounts of prescription medications from undercover investigators Wednesday evening, Pape said.

Others arrested included Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, of Satsuma, Donna Brock, 43, of Orlando, and Hope Sykes of Satsuma.

Haleigh Cummings was reported missing early Feb. 10, 2009, from her Satsuma home. No trace of her has been found.

While behind bars, the five may be subject to questioning regarding the night Haleigh disappeared.

"Any time we get the opportunity to interview an individual whose name has come up in the Haleigh investigation, we are going to speak with them," Greenwood said. "We hope something will come out of it, but it was by no means the intent of these cases."
Pape did not associate the two cases in Thursday's press conference, but focused on the drugs.

"This is about prescription pills," Pape said. "This is an outstanding drug trafficking investigation that culminated with the arrest of five subjects."

According to Lt. Johnny Greenwood, spokesman for the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, all are being held in St. Johns County with the exception of Cummings, who is being held in Flagler County.

Each appeared in court Thursday morning for their first appearance, State Attorney's Office Spokesman Chris Kelly said.

"The prosecutors will review the charging documents and the evidence and make a determination once they have an opportunity to review everything," Kelly said.

Croslin could face up to 74 years behind bars and Cummings could face up to 43 years.

At the first appearance, all bonds were kept the same as set in the arrest warrants, Kelly said.

Bonds were: Croslin, $950,000; Cummings, $500,000; Croslin Jr., $100,000; Sykes, $150,000; and Brock, $250,000.

"This case is ongoing with the potential for more arrests," Pape said.

Croslin was baby sitting the night of Haleigh's disappearance and later married then divorced Cummings. Investigators have been consistent in their viewpoint that she is a key in solving Haleigh's disappearance.
Brock was known to have associated with Croslin in October after an Orlando road-rage incident landed them in the news.

As a volunteer for EquuSearch, Brock previously said she befriended Croslin to pass information about Haleigh's disappearance to investigators.

Pape said the investigation will continue through "phase two," which involves learning where the five allegedly purchased the pills and their methods of obtaining them.

Investigators are also trying to learn how long they may have trafficked the pills, he said.

He added that the sale and use of illicit prescription drugs is on a dramatic rise in Florida.

"We know 75 percent of drug-related deaths in Florida were related to prescription drugs," Pape said. "Oxycodone was related in 2008 to 941 deaths and 499 deaths in 2009."

The investigation that led to Wednesday's arrests involved personnel from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and the State Attorney's Office.

Cops hopeful drug bust will help solve case of missing Haleigh Cummings

Putnam County investigators are hopeful that Wednesday's drug arrest of Ronald Cummings and ex-wife Misty Croslin will help them solve the year-old mystery of his missing toddler, Haleigh Cummings.

Cummings, 26, and Croslin, 18, face multiple counts of trafficking charges. They were among five people arrested Wednesday in a prescription drug trafficking sting, deputy sheriffs said.

Also arrested was Donna Brock, an Orlando woman who accompanied Croslin on a recent trip to Central Florida and who was affiliated with Texas EquuSearch, a national organization that searches for missing people. Brock's membership in that group was terminated in late October.

Haleigh Cummings, then 5, captured national headlines when she disappeared from father Ronald Cummings' double-wide trailer in Satsuma last February.

Croslin was baby-sitting the girl while Cummings was working that night. She told investigators that she woke up and realized Haleigh was gone about 3:30 a.m. There were no signs of forced entry, and the back door was ajar.

At the time, Croslin was Cummings' girlfriend. Since, they have married and divorced.

Haleigh's body has not been found. No arrests have been made in her disappearance.

The search for answers about Haleigh and the drug case are separate probes, Lt. Johnny Greenwood of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said, but investigators are hopeful the recent arrests will help them make their Haleigh case.
"Hopefully, something will come out of it on the Haleigh side, but that was not the intention," Greenwood said. "This was totally unrelated. It was a very good narcotics case."

Acting on information from a tipster, an undercover Putnam County detective purchased $3,900 worth of drugs from Croslin, Cummings, Brock and Hank Thomas "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, and Hope A. Sykes, 18. Brock's age was not available.
Hank Croslin is Misty Croslin's brother, Greenwood said.

Cummings and Misty Croslin could face a minimum-mandatory sentence of 25 years in state prison, the Sheriff's Office said.

Felony warrants obtained by the Orlando Sentinel today indicate Croslin was found selling or holding oxycodone and hydrocodone in Putnam and St. Johns counties on several occasions last month and this month. Twice she had or sold more than 28 grams of the drug, the warrants state.

"She [Misty Croslin] was involved in all of them [the drug purchases]," Greenwood said. "She was the common denominator in all seven buys."

On Wednesday, undercover investigators purchased what the deputy sheriffs described as "trafficking amounts" of prescription drugs from Cummings and Misty Croslin. They were taken into custody without incident.

Deputy sheriffs did not say whether they plan to interview the drug suspects in Haleigh's disappearance.

Since the missing child's case drew national attention in early February, Croslin has been no stranger to the law. In October, Palatka police said she was robbed while trying to buy drugs in that town.

When asked about the familiarity of Misty Croslin and Ronald Cummings and their alleged dealing, Greenwood said, "They've been in the media spotlight since Day One."

Misty Croslin faces six counts of trafficking in prescription medication. She is being held on $950,000 bail. Cummings is being held on $500,000 bail for three counts of the same charge.
Hank Croslin, Sykes and Brock face one count each of the trafficking charge. Hank Croslin's bail is $100,000; Sykes is $150,000; Brock's is $250,000 bail.

Each defendant had initial appearances this morning and their bail amounts were kept the same, according to State Attorney's Office spokesman Chris Kelly.

Ronald Cummings is held at the Flagler County Jail. Misty Croslin, Hank Croslin and Brock are held at the St. Johns County Jail; and Sykes is in the Putnam County Jail, Kelly said.

Staubs left his independent investigation shortly after his arrest on charges of false imprisonment regarding the temporary cuffing of an accused capital child sex predator shortly after the man reportedly caused trouble at the HaLeighbug Information Center in Satsuma, FL where children were present.

Misty Croslin, Hank Croslin Jr. and Brock are incarcerated in the St. Johns County Jail. Cummings was moved to the Flagler County Jail. Sykes is in the Putnam County Jail.

All but Sykes were moved to jails outside of Putnam County for security reasons. Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin were placed in separate jails to avoid the possibility of communication between them.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement Agent Dominick Pape said that potential maximum sentences if convicted are: Misty Croslin, 74 years; Cummings, 43 years; Brock, 25 years; Sykes, 15 years; and Hank Croslin, three years.

"The prosecutors will review the charging documents and the evidence and make a determination once they have an opportunity to review everything," Kelly said.

Croslin could face up to 74 years behind bars and Cummings could face up to 43 years.

At the first appearance, all bonds were kept the same as set in the arrest warrants, Kelly said.

Bonds were: Croslin, $950,000; Cummings, $500,000; Croslin Jr., $100,000; Sykes, $150,000; and Brock, $250,000.

"This case is ongoing with the potential for more arrests," Pape said.

Croslin was baby sitting the night of Haleigh's disappearance and later married then divorced Cummings. Investigators have been consistent in their viewpoint that she is a key in solving Haleigh's disappearance.

Brock was known to have associated with Croslin in October after an Orlando road-rage incident landed them in the news.

As a volunteer for EquuSearch, Brock previously said she befriended Croslin to pass information about Haleigh's disappearance to investigators.

Pape said the investigation will continue through "phase two," which involves learning where the five allegedly purchased the pills and their methods of obtaining them.

Investigators are also trying to learn how long they may have trafficked the pills, he said.

He added that the sale and use of illicit prescription drugs is on a dramatic rise in Florida.

"We know 75 percent of drug-related deaths in Florida were related to prescription drugs," Pape said. "Oxycodone was related in 2008 to 941 deaths and 499 deaths in 2009."

The investigation that led to Wednesday's arrests involved personnel from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and the State Attorney's Office.

How ironic that drugs played a very important role in the disappearance and hopefully drugs play a role in the recovery.

I think that Putnam County started this sting when Misty turned 18, so as not to involve her as a minor.
These pills are usually sold in lots of 100. Misty was probably paying $2.00 to $2.50 per pill.
 I would imagine that the police took the pills from their confiscated stash, so there is no bigger dealer.
We know that the Croslins are all into the oxy drugs and the averalge user takes about 7 pills a day.
That doesn't leave much for resale...700 pills over a four week period is 175 pills per week.
When the police say the street value is $3900 they use the high end street value which is around
$5.00 per pill
This bust was not enough to warrant the high bonds that have been put on the suspects.
They want to keep them for questioning.  It is a good thing. IMO

Yes it was very interesting and I agree about Pat Brown's comments, I have always been interested in what the criminal profilers have stated in this case, Pat along with Clint Van Zandt, and they echo my sentiments from the very beginning.

Lets' just pray these arrest bring a resolution to finding out what happened to HaLeigh and give Jr a chance to get away from the whacked out fmaily full of druggies, enabler etc., otherwise I was afraid he would turn out just like them. Poor babies ::MonkeyAngel::

I am LEANING ON LINDSY to be the tipster. One you would never suspect. But, it backfired. I read a post  on WS as she is a local and lives behind the Green Ln trailer. She said that her hubby went into the store (forgot name) and was told that Tommy was spouting off his MOUTH...and Ron and Misty were trying to hide the drugs before LE showed!!!!

So Lindsy will claim she didn't know....hmmmm just part of ..I am Stupid ... but in reality she snitched ( but of course, just on Ron and Misty). JMO on the above.

While there were seven transactions, Croslin was charged in six. However, Greenwood said it was likely she would be charged in the seventh as well.

It's sad to me Cobra is undermining the work of LE by offering to post bond for these two.  I hope he thinks his 15 minutes 5 minutes of fame are worth it.  What's more important?  Bailing out these two losers  so he can be in the news or leaving them in jail in hopes they may break or make a deal toward finding Haleigh?  Personally, I've never been a fan of Cobra.  I didn't believe he was really trying to find Haleigh as much as he was trying for publicity.  And with Cobra possibly bailing out Misty and Tommy, I feel it just substantiates that feeling.  Cobra needs to go find something useful to do, somewhere else.  JMHO

OMG....has anyone noticed in the first picture of the timeline ....the one of Misty and Haleigh together the necklace that Misty is wearing? In most of the pictures of Haleigh ....Haleigh is wearing a necklace with rather distinctive links on it ...it had some kind of charm on it but I could never make out what it was.....this Necklace that misty is wearing has a R on it I am assuming for Ron but it looks too small for her neck and it is the first time that I have seen Misty with this on. But I also noticed that in some of the last pictures of Haleigh that Haleigh was no longer wearing the necklace. I wonder if Ron gave this necklace to Haleigh to wear? I really believe that Misty was terribly jealous of Ron and Haleigh. The matching shoes etc.....Does anyone else think that this is the same necklace?
