Two new charges added to Misty Croslin in court
Former stepmother of Haleigh Cummings now faces eight drug-related counts.

PALATKA — As Misty Croslin stood before a judge in shackles and chains Thursday to face seven drug trafficking charges, a California bounty hunter was offering her a way out of jail in an exchange of information.

In addition to being jailed on drug charges, Croslin, 18, is a central figure in the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings, a 5-year-old who has been missing from her home in Putnam County for more than a year.

Before Croslin went to her arraignment, the bail that stood between her and freedom was about $1.3 million. In Sacramento, Calif., Thursday, bounty hunter Leonard Padilla said he was willing to pay a bond he estimated at $135,000 to get her out.

The deal has a caveat.

“It’s got to bear fruit,’ he said. “It’s got to lead me to Haleigh.”

Padilla is best known in Florida for bailing out Casey Anthony in 2008. Anthony was charged with killing her young daughter in Central Florida.

Croslin’s attorney, Robert Fields, has written Padilla a letter to back off.

Fields said Padilla wants to question Croslin, then decide if he will arrange a bond.

“If he likes the answers, he will bail her out,” he said. “It’s a license to interrogate.”

In conversations with her parents, Croslin has asked that they maintain contact with Padilla, who came to southern Putnam County when Haleigh disappeared.

Fields said Croslin has changed her mind.

“Hearing his [Padilla’s] conditions she doesn’t want to do it,” he said.

Fields said he would be willing to accept help with her bail if the offer came with no strings attached.

Padilla said he does not believe Croslin was asleep, as she said she was, when Haleigh disappeared.

“I’m not going to believe that,” he said.

Padilla said he also has been helping Croslin’s parents and bought a 2001 Ford Taurus for her father, who is not working and says notoriety from Haleigh’s case has kept him from getting a job. Padilla said he also gave Hank Croslin money to meet expenses.

“I don’t believe she’s told the cops what happened,” Padilla said.

Croslin was arraigned on seven charges of trafficking Thursday and was brought to the courtroom in a blue jail uniform and with cornrows in her hair. Two of the charges were new, and could increase the bail.

She faces an additional trafficking charge in St. Johns County.

what bugs me is that she didn't HAVE to spend her 17th birthday with Haleigh..she could have left that home anytime and lived somewhere else...perhaps if Misty would have left Ron and the kids, Haleigh would still be home and none of us would have been any the wiser of the goings on in Satsuma...jmo

Cookie - so true.  We all have choices in life.  She is the ringleader in my opinion.  Looking at her family dynamics says it all to me.  She rules them all.  This is no beaten downtrodden pathetic thing we are seeing this is a self centered falsely entitled POS who has been enabled to be the way she is by everyone around her.  Ron is no different.  This is what parents get when they allow there guilt to become the dominating factor in child rearing, imo. 

I watch all of the video's of the tapes but this one appears to have more on it and it is clearly Hope Sykes in the UC car.

Ron and Misty deserve each other, both losers. IMO

In the video posted Ron clearly shows how he is just invovled with drug dealing as Misty. They are both losers...

I think they are doing coke ... just an observation from the tapes...Misty and Ron both keep touching their noses?  Or snorting something? jmo of tapes.

There also is a comment from Ron about someone getting the scripts filled from the VA.  So a disabled veteran is making some money in the deal.  No surprise to me there.

I missed that, I'm going to look again, I had trouble last night with video 2.  Jersey, both Ron and Misty were enjoying the drug dealing a little too much. One thing that disturbed me horribly is that Jr was at some place, I think it was called Stop And Play. It is one thing to drop a child in a place like that if you have a doctor's appointment or something else when bringing a child along would be not appropriate, but to drop a child off so you can deal drugs?  ::MonkeyShocked:: ::MonkeyNoNo::

I don't have a bone in this fight, just calling what I see that Misty is not a beaten pathetic thing as some have said.  Yes they are both losers you will get no arguement from me on that one.  They are all losers every last one of them, Cummings, Croslins and Sheffields.  That is my opinion.  I mean hell Crystal can't even pass a drug test after she gets junior back.  I'm not here to talk about who is the better of these POS or tit for tat.  All I care about is that LE has the facts and their facts state that MIsty is the key in the disappearance in Haleigh.  And she clearly IMO is not a damsel in distress which some may feel she is IMO.

Yes.. Disturbing .. Haleigh is out there somewhere and all Ron and Misty care about is dealing drugs and using... And Jr is somewhere while they are doing their deeds.. Sick...I hope they both rot in jail...

Attorneys for Ronald Cummings, father of missing HaLeigh Ann-Marie Cummings, and Cummings' ex-wife, Misty Croslin, were practically speechless Friday when they learned that videotape of the couple's alleged drug-dealing had been sent to a nationally televised entertainment program.

"I'm a little shocked they would mail out the video," said Cummings' lawyer, Terry Shoemaker, of Mowrey, Shoemaker Beardsley in St. Augustine. "That's the whole case.

"I've never, ever seen that happen."

Although the attorneys said they had not yet received their videos, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office sent a copy of the alleged drug transactions to the Nancy Grace show.

The footage was scheduled to be aired Friday night.

Shoemaker said the attorneys had been told they could view the "unredacted" version at the sheriff's office.

What I got out of the tapes, Misty is the people person, she can talk and flirt, while Ron is not a people person. Ron needed Misty for that part, while he had the ideas for it all. I just don't see Misty being no mastermind of anything. Even that idea about leaving the drugs in the bathroom at Spinners, and then she would go into the bathroom to get them, that wasn't her idea, that was Ron telling her to tell the under cover police that. IMO

Another funny thing I noticed in the tapes is the undercover keeps the back doors locked so he keeps having to unlock them to let them out.  Now wouldn't some of you find that weird.  I mean if I have people in my back seat they usually holler hey take the door locks off man.  Or ask why do you keep lockings us in.  Maybe it's just weird to me?

Kinda weird that she only says she had to spend it with Haleigh, not "the kids", maybe that's the first words of truth out of her pie hole about her REAL feelings toward "ron's little girl".  POS's, both of them

Just a thought on the door locks....most new cars the doors lock automatically when you start the engine. I know my sons surburban does it and my daughter's monte carlo does.

True ... true but I think we are gonna find that Misty made the intial contact w/the guy and made more of the deals with the guy hence Misty having more charges which is fact.  I'm not saying Misty is the ringleader by any means, I'm simply stating she is not a simple little standby part in this or being made to do these things.  She's is very cunning and manipulative and that speaks to her character in general IMO.  Which reflects upon the overall story of Haleighs disappearance.  If some choose to see it as Ron and his family beat and coerced Lil Misty into the conspiracy coverup of Haleigh's disappearance that is no skin off my back, I just see it different:  Misty is an accomplice to everything.  Misty is/was a more than willing partner to all of this.  Haleigh's disappearance and the drugs. 

Misty is very cunning, and manipulative, but I also see Ron that way as well.

And she has the nerve to wonder why she isnt fooling anyone with half a brain cell as to what happened to Haleigh?  The slam dunk is her brother telling their father that "Misty better not be telling no stories about people" to me that means he knows what happened to Haleigh & he helped his sister but is now worried that Misty is going to spill it all because she's shaking in her stanky pants.

Misty has lived by example from her family of slugs & taken on the role of Princess of slug village, no joke!  Listen to her...me, me, me (sound familiar, o yea Casey Anthony).   She best be careful because if she talks like that where she will be for her 19th birthday, Big Bertha might just give that dum biotch her last present - a one way ticket to the highway of H...and it wont be pretty

Maybe it's the window lock I'm thinking about that has the override button on the driver's door.  The door override lock is in the settings on new cars maybe.  I don't know I just find it odd and have had people in my backseat make comments about it...like they are trapped..ha ha.  I'm a Realtor of course I want to trap you..tee hee.

We can only hope Capp!!!  And same for Ron and Tommy in my book...Let them all rot.  Stop questioning/pandering to them and just sentence them for the drugs 20 plus for each.  Sounds good to me.

Misty could have left Ron's (at anytime) but Misty knew Amber would be called to watch Haleigh and Jr.

That to me Jersey was the Bombshell from the tapes. If that is not what happened, what did happen?

yeah I agree I only wish LE did and had Ron in for questioning every day like they did Misty.  Baffling that they are not isn't it?

IMHO Ron knows  she is responsible whether she left their drug stash out for Haleigh to ingest recklessly, Misty drugged her either to make her pass out for a few hours or premeditatedly killed her because she didnt want to deal with her any longer...the truth is beginning to surface with the statements Misty and her brother are making now & they are too stuck on stupid to realize just how much they are giving up by flipping their jaws.    It seems to me that Ron knows that drugs are at the core of what happened to Haleigh & he knows he is culpable for having them & that tainted  tart in his house, taking care of his children.   One thing is for certain, Ron will never have custody of junior again & eventually they are all going to rot in the devil's den.

I gotta say I would luv to also but I bet it has little to nothing redacted about Haleigh's case or we would be seeing additional charges by now or atleast midnight jail house questionings.

Sorry this whole case PO's me.  I don't understand how it can be so hard.  And it really burns me up that it was handled so poorly from the beginning.  Blankets thrown outside for sniffer dogs - to blow scent trails in the wind.  Dumpsters not searched until weeks later, phone records not checked till months later, doors taken weeks later, Joe the Tennessee cuz not looked at until wks/months later, fake searches, media circus with Whorealdo, Cobra, Kim Pwhatshername, and now Padilla.  My anger that her mother still can't pass a drug test after all this.  My anger that every single person in her life is crap...worthless crap.  Altho I know in my heart she cherished everyone of them.

I'm just seriously bumped how these morons are getting away with this in this day and age and I'm trying to keep up hope as we have so many missing being found recently and I find it hard in this little peanut of a back water case.  But the light at the end of the tunnel is a beautiful little girl named Haleigh who deserves to be found and placed where she needs to be and remembered in the way she should be remembered. 

Not remembered with the anger and the frustration we are all feeling now but with the knowledge that we got the guilty and they will pay.  And this beautiful little girl can go and rest in peace.  And that we will remember the lessons she has taught us.

JG thanks that is the first picture I've seen of Hope.  Just read all the comments on here about her looks without having seen her.

I am sure glad I am not a young person looking a partner in Florida.....All the shots I have seen out of PC are some butt ugly people. That Hope is only 18 and looks as old as I do. And Lisa Croslin looks 75.

203 Ann Street , lake lady. This doc show in 2002 she lived there.. This info is important as she made it to Dope Boy's home that evening when Haleigh went missing in unbelieveable time with her dispatch uniform on and a picture of haleigh..

I agree about the back door, there are neighborhoods that you have to go to if you deal in drugs that someone would really just open the backdoor and jump in or the guy you buy from might just statch your money and jump back out after handing you a bag filled with vitamin pills.....the UC was doing his job really well.....

  I agree about Misty also, she was still doing whatever Ronald  told her too.....he is the ringleader in all this, as far as Hope goes, she looked to me like she was just hanging out for the day, and Ive seen where they have mentioned something about being around the school several times, well isnt that nice, dealing drugs close to the school, Im surprised they didnt get charged with that to, these people make me sick, still doing the same thing they have always done and HaLeigh is still missing.....

Yes, around the school, and I wondered about that, and if you are dealing drugs near a school if the charges are more? HH since you don't live to far from there, what is that place that Misty said Jr was at? Stop and Play, was that it, and what kind of place is that?

I am just thankful that Ron had enough sense to drop Jr. off at a daycare facility instead of taking him with them on these drug sales..... ::MonkeyNoNo::  it would not have surprised me one bit if Jr. had been with on prior deliveries...there is no telling what these young kids have been witness to....on both sides of their family... ::MonkeyNoNo::  I still remember when the drugs were found in the pickup truck on Marie/Crystal's property when they were doing the digup thing there...I know that they said that the drugs belonged to someone else, but don't they all always say that? who knows...

my husb took it to mean that he knew he was an undercover and he knew he was screwed... i don't think so but that is an unbiased opinion since my husb has no clue about this case...

Im glad Ronald has finally gotten what he deserved after years of doing this same thing and walking away from it, and Misty needs to be right where she is too....Thank God, Crystal has Jr. now, he is much better off right there where he should have been the whole time....thats the only good thing that has come out of this past year...

on 1 of the videos of Misty in the car with the undercover guy...she said something like, brothers (?) were giving her chit about making sure that this guy was not setting her up and she says, I trust this guy...not word for word but the general gist of it...Which tells me that SHE is the one who first made contact with this guy, not Ron, and that she got her brother and Ron to get in on this with her...Which sortof in my mind makes her the ring leader...I agree with Fatcat that she is not this fragile little bird that she wants others to think that she is when the situation calls for her to be...hope that makes sense...And after hearing what she had to say about being with Haleigh ruined her birthday has made me even more callous towards this POS!! you are going down Misty! karma and all that....

Joe because was on probation from TENN. (at that time) and wasn't suppose to be out of Tenn. This what I remember.
He could have been throw in jail for being out of his State. This has not been confirmed.

That comment they made about Joe Overstreet leaving early in the morning sure impletement him of some wrong doing.. What I don't understand they already mention him being in Putnam to LE and surely LE would of looked into it and seen he was out of state on probation.

We will be running our regular program on Sunday at 3pm. Once again this has been a very busy week in the case of finding Haleigh Cummings. While Law Enforcement have been adamant that the search for missing Haleigh and the drug charges against bio father Ronald Cummings, and ex GF/baby sitter/lover/wife Misty Croslin are two very different cases, you would have to be wearing some really dark glasses to miss the fact that the two investigations dovetail.

Our panel tomorrow is going to be Simon and Jan Barrett, the news and programming director for WSKY 97.3 TJ hart, and the Crime Doctor Denny Griffin. I do have an email into Levi Page, and if he is available I assume he will be joining us.

There was a great deal of new video released this week. Once again TJ and I have been up to our ears in them. We are still trying to get them into a usable format. We don’t have the might of CNN behind us, so these things take a little time.

One thing is clear though, what we had always assumed as a three ring circus is indeed that. The Croslin/Cummings/Sheffield circus.

Each family seems to be out doing the next in Dumbness. None of them seem to have any redeeming features.

I think the police messed this all up from the beginning. But now a year later, they have the culprits in jail at least, granted on another crime.

And remember when they did the highway search but only part of it.  From Haleigh's house towards Timmy & Wife's house where Joe Overstreet was supposedly staying?  I tell you if I want to commit a crime I know where to go.

I have a thought on the back doors always locking. It was an undercover car. Don't the cop cars lock in the back to prevent the person from hopping out? They should have caught that if they were so worried about being set up. But I'm glad they didn't!!

Boy did LE mess up in the beginning..

Tommy stated in one of the jailhouse visits or phone calls that he had warned MC that the guy was a UC.

A lot of misinformation has been put out, actually, everything had been misinformation.
LE may have done this intentionally. I read where it may have been TN visiting and not GGS.

JG all I know about Joe Overstreet is hearsay.  He was there for a visit prior to Haleigh going missing maybe a week.  He and Ron had a fight about a gun and he may have assaulted Misty when she was younger.  That he was supposedly staying w/Timmy north? of Haleigh's home and possibly had access to Timmy and wife's van.

I know for a fact nothing about Joe Overstreet except that LE spoke with him in Tennessee and felt he was not a person of interest in Haleigh's disappearance.  Also in one of the initial newsclips LE stated they did infact find a gun in a ditch outside of the Haleigh's home.  That is all I know of J. Overstreet.

Well then I guess Tommy is smarter then Misty and Ron.

I believe they used that picture on the front page of the paper on the anniversary of Haleigh's disappearance, that's what was being said on Twitter anyway.

I have no idea why they would lie, I'm sure it's not the only lie that's been told.

Where they said they have new details of the night Haleigh went missing and are challenging little miss liar liar with them while she is in custody.  We can only hope.

Heart that is what I am pinning my hopes and dreams on right now.  I'm more than willing to look at other avenues tho.  I just want the whoever(s) to pay.  You know what I mean.

I have a hard time believeing that Haleigh a bright smart five, almost six yr old saw some pills and thought they were candy and od'ed that is my problem with the whole other side of this.  The statistics just aren't there.  We have discussed lollies and such till I'm blue in the face.  These people are not that sophisticated.  They are doing roxies and meth and crap drugs or coke.  And Haleigh is as an intelligent little lady.  I've seen children reared around drug parents they know what mom & dad's special candies are and what to stay away from especially at 5.

she migt not have thought they were candy... wen my kid was 5 it ate everything... chewed on erasers game pieces etc... she didn't have to think it was candy to put it in her mouth.... sometimes kids tat see pill poppers see mommy and daddy taking their medicine as though it was candy and saying things like mommy is sick i need my meds etc...maybe she knew it was meds and did it anyways

I guess I'm just looking for something other than Haleigh od'ed all on her own.  I can go with the police call at the croslin home an hour before and TN knowing and ggs knowing I just don't see the od.  I can clearly see Misty doing it but not Haleigh stumbling on pills(that I'm sure were common and precious in that house) and oding like they were candy.  any other thoughts on that angle?

Penny thanks, that's what I was looking for...a different perspective on a 5 yr old.  I know statistics and I know 5 yr olds just not this 5 yr old.  statistics and my knowledge do not support it and I do not want to believe that this could of happened and maybe that's a block for me?!  I can see it happening just not to Haleigh but that could just be my wants and desires...who knows.

i don't think it would have taken a lot for her to od... size and breathing problems would have made it easier

i hear ya but and no offense to haleigh but the only reason we think she is smart is because her family said so... any family of a missing kid would say that even if they were a little slower then average... and if haleigh was smart then she picked it up at school not at home... misty cannot even read still... she told her dad she was going and try to learn how
i can imagine misty saying that night i am sick bla blah blah and passing out meanwhile haleigh decides to play sick and eat some medicine... that is just one of many things i can imagine happening

Well now I have to go deeper into this theory and think about it.  We are talking a span of so many hrs here. Phone calls took place and a body was potentially found lifeless and disposed of in a place never to be discovered again with no signs of a potential od in the home.  Hence blankets and look of disgust that IM always points out.  I just have never been able to mull this one thru in my mind.  especially when you start adding in so many other characters covering it up like has been suggested in various places.  I can see Ron and/or Misty and/or tommy/timmy but when we start throwing in TN and GGS I reach roadblocks.

I think in TN's mind it all makes Ron look bad and she would defend him to the ends of the earth regardless.  I know her type, seen and still see it in action so I Kind of disregard what she has to say.  Maybe that is a problem for me also.  Guilt rearing of children will be the death of us all I say...ha ha ha!  A whole generation that does not know or understand...NO!

chelsea was the one that said she noticed the van moved could have been an early alibi for the van incase they found anything in it...
could be tommy was there dropped off pills for ron misty passed out before putting them away ron was worried misty took off with his pills sent tommy to check on the pills he finds haleigh dead etc etc

usually first sign of od is vommit but what kills you is respiratory failure... could be she died before puking could be she died by coking on her puke while passed out and none left her mouth... and you do not always empty bladder and bowels when dead...
i know they are were tight lipped about all details yet they were more then happy to let everyone know about the blanket and the van... there has to be a reason for that

there is also brandon overstreet he is misty's cousin dark skin that you have probably seen in pics with misty... they are different however brandon overstreet used to live in orlando but afterward moved to tenesse with an aunt named tina (not overstreet) and this aunt of brandon overstreet named tina who lives in tennessee is best friends/sister with brandon fryes mother... brandon frye was in florida for a month beginning shortly after feb 4th visiting an aunt marilyn who i have not pinpointed yet to this day

Tape of alleged drug sale sent to Nancy Grace

Attorneys for Ronald Cummings, father of missing HaLeigh Ann-Marie Cummings, and Cummings' ex-wife, Misty Croslin, were practically speechless Friday when they learned that videotape of the couple's alleged drug-dealing had been sent to a nationally televised entertainment program.

"I'm a little shocked they would mail out the video," said Cummings' lawyer, Terry Shoemaker, of Mowrey, Shoemaker Beardsley in St. Augustine. "That's the whole case.

"I've never, ever seen that happen."

Although the attorneys said they had not yet received their videos, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office sent a copy of the alleged drug transactions to the Nancy Grace show.

The footage was scheduled to be aired Friday night.

Shoemaker said the attorneys had been told they could view the "unredacted" version at the sheriff's office.

His office sent a check for a copy of the "redacted" version, which blocked the identities of undercover officers. He said he had not received a copy by Thursday.

Friday afternoon, Shoemaker was driving back from Miami, where he had been attending a conference. Audioclips from the video were being played on a Miami radio station, he said.

"It's all over the place," Shoemaker said.

Lt. Johnny Greenwood with the PCSO said copies had been sent to local television stations as well as Nancy Grace, whose representative calls him "just about every day to see what's new."

Not unusual

He said it's not unusual anymore for law enforcement officers to release video of alleged crimes. He cited the images from stores' surveillance cameras that capture robberies and shootings.

"Really, this is not out of the ordinary," he said. "This is a very high-profile case."

Croslin, for a short time, was the stepmother of HaLeigh Cummings, who was 5 years old when she disappeared from her father's Satsuma mobile home the night of Feb. 9, 2009.

The teenager, who was Ronald Cummings' live-in girlfriend at the time, was babysitting HaLeigh and her younger brother while their father worked a night shift as a crane operator.

The two were married March 12, one month after the child disappeared.

They were divorced on Oct. 15.

Cummings, Croslin and three others were arrested in Putnam County on Jan. 20 and charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking.

An undercover officer allegedly bought oxycodone and hydrocodone several times and then offered to sell the pills. The 330 pills involved had an estimated street value of $3,900.

Cummings, 26, was charged with five counts of trafficking in prescription drugs.

Croslin, 18, faces eight counts (including one in St. Johns County).

Also charged were Croslin's brother, Hank Croslin Jr., 23 (one count); a cousin, Hope A. Sykes, 18 (one count); and Donna Brock, 44 (one count).

Chris Kelly, a spokesman for the State Attorney's Office, said there was nothing unusual about the video release.

Following the law

"Our obligation is to comply with Florida's Public Records law," he said.

The only exemptions from that law are for a suspect's alleged confession and when an investigation is "ongoing," he said.

His case falls into one of those categories, Shoemaker said.

"As long as the case is being litigated, it's an ongoing investigation," he said.

Croslin's lawyer, Robert Fields of Dowda & Fields in Palatka, said he agreed "100 percent" with Shoemaker.

Fields still didn't have a copy on Friday.

Of all the media outlets the sheriff's office could have sent the video to, Fields particularly objected to a copy going to Nancy Grace, whose program bills itself as "television's only justice themed/interview/debate show."

"How in the world could an entertainment show like that get copies of this court discovery prior to the parties' attorneys?" he asked. "And it is just an entertainment show. It's not a legal show. It's not journalism.

"So they're pumping this out to Nancy Grace. There's a strategy there.

"I have a strong opinion about what their strategy is, but I'm not at liberty to say what that is."

true because my understanding was that only Joe Overstreet was there at the time which I think is why the gun part was confusing because he appears to some to be more respectfull (I guess) than what we know of Ron.  But so many different perspectives get thrown in that you began to wonder what is going on.  so who was interviewed by LE up in TN?  Was it Joe or Brandon to your understanding and who was visiting at the time Haleigh went missing and do they really matter?

I read this when HaLeigh first came up missing and with more and more being found out about these two, alot of what this women says is beginning to make more sense.....

He sure gobbled that up, and I'm still trying to figure out those hand signals he was giving Hope in the back seat.

yeah one appears to be from the backseat with I guess Hopes head right in the camara...lol.  It seems they had two camara's in that car one in the front center console and one in the possible rear drivers side light.  Interesting to note if you are looking for camara's in a car.  who would of thought.

After viewing the PalatkaDailyNews.com video in full view, this is my observation once he gets into the front seat of the UC's car @ 2:50 in the video and before Misty brings the pills back. IMO, he has ‘something’ between his left thumb and forefinger at this point. What that 'something' is, is difficult to determine because of the blurriness of the video. But, whatever that 'something' is, he does remove it from his mouth later in the video clip and after Misty returns with the pills. Here are the time frames of the video:

@3:10 – He touches the ‘something’ with his right hand and he also is still pinching that ‘something’ while he twirls with his right hand, the rings on his left hand @ 3:25.

@4:20 – Misty enters the UC’s car with the pills and he extends his arm in the back seat to retrieve the pills.

@ 4:45 – He puts ‘something’ in his mouth with his right hand, then begins to count the pills.

@ 5:30 – He gives the pills to the UC and just after that, he removes that ‘something’ from his mouth with his right hand.

Did Misty lie and claim rape and the two went to avenge her so-called "honor" (and steal some drugs in the process of course)?? Now we have one missing mexican and a payback Haleigh abduction and no one's talking. A murder for a murder..guess it's an even playing field and no one wants a murder 1 charge. It WAS a payback for something Ronald did and I would bet dollars to donuts it had something to do with the drug sex spree Misty had with White Boy Greg and NayNay and the party in Crescent City with the mexicans and the prostitute Lindsay from St. Augustine. Too coincidental that all that went down right before Haleigh goes missing. Ronald did something bad and they paid him back. Was a body found this past year of a man in Flordia?

 If someone is (illegally) here as in the 'brothel house' DNA and dental records wouldn't be available to indentify a person missing. I am saying - if one guy was missing from the group, it may be a normal thing in how they live with drugs, etc.

I have thought of the theory the poster mentioned, he may be warm or on the right trail, it is RC time line that keeps us in the air.

Hobbitt mentioned last year that they were issued a couple of citations for allowing their dog to run amuck in the neighborhood.

I don't disagree...I am just thinking that perhaps at the time that this happened,he maybe wasn't cause he had a job and was making money that way?  not to say that he didn't deal before Haleigh went missing ....but perhaps not to other people except ones that he knew real well and had a history of supplying drugs to ? dunno...Misty could have made some promises to "others" during her escapade weekend in order to get drugs and when she couldn't pay up, .....maybe it angered someone and they took matters into their own hands......

Was that 90 phone calls the night of Haleigh's disappearance?

Thats what Art said last night......if this is true, Ronald knew there was something going on besides Misty just turning her phone off, otherwise,  he wouldnt have called that much, he knew, thats over 10 calls a hour for a 8 hour shift......when did he have time to work and why didnt he go home to check on his kids!

That's the big question, geez, when you are at work, how do you get a chance to make phone calls like that. Unless he was off by himself and wasn't supervised at all.

If I left something out like tic tacs or pills I would say a 5 year old (at least mine) maybe not knowing for sure that one was not a candy would know as soon as they started chewing it that it did not taste good and natural response would be to spit it out and start wiping their tounge off. question would be in this senario would a little bit be enough to kill a 40# 5 year old. Also even if mommy or daddy had lied and said there DRUGS, PILLS were medicine is haleigh didn't feel good and thought I'll just take some of those things daddy and Misty take she would not complete the chewing and what 5 year old get out a glass of water and swallows the pills??? I guess maybe she could if she was used to swallowing pills for her other illness but I'm pretty sure I heard Ron say she was not taking any meds at that time.  I know my daughter, if it doesn't taste good it's a battle to get her to take anything.

BryarRose, my youngest when she was little would literally put everything in her mouth, good or bad tasting, she was a handful. Yes Art is the one who said about the 90 calls, I don't know if that is true, just that it was said on the show. We know there were calls that Ron was making that night, but if there was that many calls he must have been in some kind of rage too make that many calls. We also, at least I'm not aware of, who all the calls were going too.

Also, IMO, when the cops pull up for to bust them (yipee) I think they were unmarked and ron who was already getting out, thought they were just rude driver's

That's very interesting, I never would have thought that. Ron could have been angry in what he perceived to be rude drivers.

Leonard Padilla actually said tonight on Levi Page’s show, in response to my question what would be better for Misty legally, that she should listen to her lawyer–because anything she gave Padilla would be worthless in bargaining for a lesser sentence in her related cases, where if she knew anything that could help cops solve the Haleigh case, it could give her lawyer leverage to cut her a deal.

Feds are involved, on call if not on the ground. Oh, and your question is not at all stupid…gators are there and that’s certainly possible. There is an unconfirmed rumor a gator with a swollen belly was in the yard of Ronald’s aunt, but no one called LE. I had to mention it because it’s almost too good to check, like so many things that turn out to be bogus…but LE did send divers into the nearby ponds and rivers to inspect alligators for recent meals and found none…art

Bryar...I agree with you on this...most kids that age would more than likely spit it out if it tasted bad...just from my own experience with my kids and my grand daughter who is 6...every kid is different as we all know...

I think kids' taste buds are different.  One of my kids reached over me and grabbed rubbing alcohol once and drank it. ::MonkeyEek::  I have heard of kids eating and drinking all kinds of things that they shouldn't have.  One kid that was in my brother's class at school drank gasoline. ::MonkeyShocked::

Katrina is interesting to me in this case.

Donna Brooks had Katrina on her MS. When did they meet and how well did they know each other? Did they meet when Donna was in Satsuma with TES in Feb? Did they meet after Misty went to Donna's, thinking she was going to get back at TM?

The LVA was at Katrina's house iirc.

Katrina is driving Ron & Misty to make a drug deal, the day they were arrested according to Misty, Misty said her cell phone, camera were in Katrina's car.

Ron was in Katrina's car when he told Misty to tell UC guy to go in the bathroom and drop the pills. So Katrina knew what was going on.

Missing Children Cases With Happy Endings

We report about Haleigh Cummings who has been missing for over a year now. We continue reporting about the circus going on with the families involved in her disappearance hoping that the one little missing piece of the puzzle to finding out where she is will be found. I can’t give up on finding Haleigh. I won’t give up on my hopes that she is still alive, although other disagree with me. As long as there is any shred of hope I will stick with my gut feeling and continue praying for God to bring her home.

It would seem to me to be likely, but LE might not have anything against her, Misty didn't sound to me like she knew her very well but yet she knows Hope.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla is being asked to stay away from Misty Cummings, who's in jail on drug trafficking charges.

Padilla once bonded suspected child killer Casey Anthony out of jail.

Misty Cummings pleaded not guilty to eight counts of trafficking in prescription painkillers at her arraignment at Putnam County courthouse Friday morning.
Cummings' attorney sent a letter to Padilla in California asking him cease and desist from contacting Cummings.

The letter implies that Padilla may be trying to influence Cummings' parents to work with him by buying them a car and cell phones.

Cummings, the last person to see missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings more than one year ago, is being held on in the St. Johns County Jail on drug charges with a $1.35 million bond.

Padilla had said that he would bond Cummings out of jail if she provided information on where Haleigh might be.

Haleigh Cummings – The Padilla Factor

Leonard Padilla is a force to be reckoned with, he has done very well for himself in the bounty hunting/bail bond business. He certainly made headlines when he bonded Casey Anthony out. Most people thought he was a lunatic by doing it. However Leonard thought that he might be able to get information out of Casey about the missing Caylee Anthony that Law Enforcement could not. He failed, but one has to admire a man that tries. Of course the question of why he would insert himself into the case in the first place has to be asked.

It certainly brought him to the spotlight, and for week after week he was a regular on the Nancy Grace program. Nance had Leonard nicely appointed in a studio. With full makeup and his hat set ‘just so’ we listened with interest to his ideas.

The Caylee Anthony story finally ran its course with Nance, a bigger story came up, a young lady by the name of Haleigh Cummings went missing. Suddenly Caylee did not exist, only Haleigh!

Of course the death of Michael Jackson brought all news coverage by Nancy Grace to a screeching halt. After what seemed an eternity Nancy once again returned to the subject of Haleigh Cummings.

The Croslin and Cummings families started to make news on Jan/20 when they were rolled up in a drug bust. I believe it was Jan/22 when I received a phone call concerning Leonard Padilla, the information was that he was planning to bond the entire clan out. I think my response was “Is he nuts”. I have talked with Leonard Padilla several times, he does not come across as a whack job. A couple of days later I received some more information, it was third hand, but it made it abundantly clear that springing the pill poppers/dealers was about the last thing in the world that Law Enforcement wanted.

Padilla does not give up easy. He has purchased a used car for Hank Croslin, bought them pre paid cell phones, and if my sources are correct he has been scoping out some rental properties in the Palatka area.

Many people accused William Cobra Staubs of inserting himself into the case. He was only trying to find a missing child. What Padilla is trying to do has far reaching implications. I find it hard to believe that he can extract information from the Putnam County version of the Munsters that Law Enforcement can not!

I guess the part that just amazes me is that Misty Croslin sits in jail with a $1.35 million bond. To get her out Padilla would have to put up $135,000. Misty can barely read or write, she has a grade six education, though I have heard that her education level is closer to grade four. How could Misty possibly pay the $135,000?

Poor Timmy Croslin’s tax refund check must be getting down to the bare bones!

I like Leonard Padilla, he is an engaging man, but this is one story that he needs to avoid. Even Nance is giving him the cold shoulder. Have you noticed that he is not in a spanky studio any more? Nope, that is a Skype internet connection.

Hundreds of dollars and pills change hands between Misty Croslin and Ronald Cummings and an undercover officer on surveillance tapes released by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
But, amid what officers allege is drug trafficking, Cummings, 26, and Croslin, 18, open up to the unidentified officer about their life in Putnam County since Cummings' daughter Haleigh vanished last February. At the time, Croslin was babysitting the girl and her younger brother at their father's Satsuma home.

Released by the Sheriff's Office last week, the recordings are part of the case against the two, as well as against Croslin's brother Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, of Satsuma; her friend Donna Brock, 44, of Orlando, and Cummings' cousin Hope A. Sykes, 18, of Satsuma. All are facing charges of trafficking in prescription medications following their January arrests.

The eight recordings date from Dec. 22 through Jan. 20 when officers arrested the five. Croslin appears in all, apparently acting as a go-between and helping organize exchanges, collecting cash or getting the pills. Also in each is the officer, his face obscured, who drives the van where all of the recordings are made with Croslin, Cummings and others riding as passengers.
On the Jan. 8 recording, Croslin tells the driver and Brock that doing this makes her nervous. Later she says she got three teeth pulled in a week. As the driver commiserates, she explains she didn't have to pay for the dental work and a prescription that was put in another person's name. In the back seat, Brock can be seen taking out a bottle, putting something in a bag and pushing it forward toward the front-seat occupants.

I was ready to start doing cartwheels in my living room last night when she said that!!!!

Please don't attack me here ~~  I can't hardly stand NG anymore but I do share her feeling about RC. We have watched all these videos and he is just a dirtbag criminal but yet I still don't believe he knew what happened to Haleigh at first (not sure if I think he knows now or not) I fell hard for believing all that was real pain and he was suffering the pain of not knowing where his child was or what happened to her. My husband and I both I think had tears rolling down our faces that first night the show aired with Haleigh. Maybe it is just because we could not even imaginge any pain greater that that. However I have to keep in mind that I have fallen for other parents that have been on TV pleading for the return of their child/ren only to find out they killed them. Maybe that will never register with me, that a parent could actually KILL/dispose of a child that they are suppose to love and protect NO MATTER WHAT! At the cost of my own life I could never be witness to someone harming my daughter. I am 38 years old and I know my mother would still throw herself under a bus for me. It has always been easier for me to see Misty as Guilty, she does not know what the feeling of loving your own child is like (adopted or natural, child meaning a person that soley depends on you for basic needs. I don't want to offend any adoptive parents here, we have alot of adoptees in our family and they are ours just the same) Sometimes I feel stupid saying I'm still not sure about RC, Everything about him screems GUILTY

As previously released, it is very unlikely that Haleigh’s disappearance is the work of a stranger. Evidence and information obtained during this investigation indicate a strong likelihood that Haleigh’s disappearance is the result of foul play by someone known to Misty Croslin and/or Ronald Cummings. There is no specific individual whom investigators have identified as a person of interest. Investigators still believe that Misty Croslin holds important answers in this case. She still refuses to provide any sort of detailed accounting of the hours during the late evening and early morning of Haleigh’s disappearance. Furthermore, physical evidence at the scene contradicts Misty’s sketchy account of her evening activities. Investigators ask that anyone with direct knowledge of Misty’s activities during that evening of February 9, 2009, or into the early morning of February 10, 2009, is encouraged to report that information to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Information may be submitted by calling Northeast Crime Stoppers at (888) 277-TIPS (8477), or e-mailing the information to haleigh@putnamsheriff.org.

The recent arrests of Misty Croslin, Ronald Cummings, Hank Thomas Croslin Jr., Hope Sykes, and Donna Brock, on drug trafficking charges have caused some media outlets to question the intentions behind these arrests. Sheriff Hardy wants to assure the public that these narcotic cases were not a result of the Haleigh investigation. Independent information was received by narcotics detectives that these individuals were unlawfully selling prescription medications. The State Attorney’s Office was consulted at the onset of the narcotics investigation, and it was recommended that the missing person case and the narcotics cases remain totally separate to avoid legal conflicts in both cases. The Haleigh investigative team was not made aware of the narcotics cases until January 20, 2010, just prior to all five individuals being arrested. 

Investigators assigned to Haleigh Cummings’ disappearance have interviewed these five (5) individuals in the past, some on multiple occasions. However, investigators will take advantage of every opportunity given to speak with any individual who possibly holds information regarding Haleigh’s disappearance.

Sheriff Hardy realizes the importance of keeping Haleigh in the spotlight and the public involved in this case. He appreciates all of the leads and tips that have been provided, and wants to assure everyone that each lead and tip is acted on by investigators. Sheriff Hardy wants to reassure the public, but mainly Haleigh’s family, that we will continue to aggressively pursue this case until Haleigh is found.

Misty Croslin Demands Written Contract From Bounty Hunter Padilla

NANCY GRACE, HOST: Breaking news tonight. Satsuma, Florida, a 5- year-old girl tucked into bed, five hours later, she`s gone. Daddy comes home from the night shift to find not a trace of little Haleigh. The last person to see her alive, new stepmother Misty Croslin, who takes to the airwaves, claiming she`s innocent. But even in one brief interview, she can`t keep her story straight, including a 180 on a lie detector she flunked. Little Haleigh`s own father, Ronald Cummings, and baby-sitter- turned-stepmother Misty Croslin both handcuffed, arrested, booked. Charges, drug trafficking.

Bombshell tonight. We obtain the secret undercover surveillance video taken inside the police car by pinpoint secret camera. All on video, the sting, the repeat drug sales to undercover cops, the conversations, the lies, the sales, the takedown. And tonight, we obtain even more of those secretly recorded jailhouse tapes, hours of Misty Croslin yak, yak, yakking to Mommy, to Granddaddy, to Grandma, to Daddy, to brother. It`s all caught on video.

But now we see an angry Croslin, self-absorbed to the max, demanding her relatives, broke as they are, bail her out, insisting she`ll only talk about Haleigh once she gets a deal to get out from behind bars, Croslin concerned only about herself, whining over and over about conditions in lockup, her food, her jail cell, even insisting her family forget about the brother, just focus on her.

Croslin back in court on two more drug charges. Tonight, Misty Croslin`s house of cards falling in as her own mother also arrested. What we and the cops both want are answers. Where is 5-year-old Haleigh?

CUMMINGS: I still got one pending, that`s assault with a deadly weapon charge pending, and I never even -- my guns were at home locked up in the gun cabinet. Just because I`ve been on TV and because I`ve said, you know, That`s my daughter that`s missing. So just because I said I`ll kill them (EXPLETIVE DELETED) if I find them before you all do, ever since then, people been calling and saying I`ve been (EXPLETIVE DELETED) threatening them with guns and everything else. And all it is, is because they know I got guns, because I love my daughter, you know? Everybody that`s ever seen anything about it knows about it. And please don`t never tell nobody that I`ve done this before.

CUMMINGS: Dude, man, people will go to assuming. Their first thing was that I was a dope boy and I must have ripped somebody off or pissed somebody off, and that`s what happened. That ain`t what (EXPLETIVE DELETED) happened, man. Dope boys don`t come get your kid like that. If you owed a dope boy that much money, they`d come in right here. They`d come in and they`d kill right here. They`d kill your (EXPLETIVE DELETED) daughter and your girlfriend and your son, and then when your (EXPLETIVE DELETED) come home, you`d be the one -- when you come home, you`d be the one that would see it, you know what I mean?

GRACE: Well, he`s right. That`s Cummings in part of secretly recorded video and audio taken inside the cop car. Take a look at Misty Croslin. She just can`t stop talking.

Out to Jean Casarez, legal correspondent, In Session. I understand Croslin has now answered up to two more charges. What are they?

JEAN CASAREZ, IN SESSION: That`s right. In court, formal arraignment, the two charges are trafficking prescription drugs. That makes a total of eight counts. Her bail remains at $1.35 million.

GRACE: Why does she keep talking about getting out of jail? What planet is she from?

CASAREZ: It`s her whole focus, Nancy. It`s the whole focus among almost every conversation. It started with, the income tax refund check could help get her out. Now she`s on to Leonard Padilla, a lot of the tapes now saying, Call Leonard, get Leonard, have him get me out. But she`s got her deal that she wants met. She wants a contract. She wants him to get her out. Then she`ll talk to him. And she definitely doesn`t want him to revoke her bond, as she says was done in the Casey Anthony case by Leonard Padilla.

GRACE: Wait a minute. Jean Casarez, what do you mean she wants a contract?

CASAREZ: She wants a contract. She wants in writing that he will pay the money, he will get her out, and there`s confidentiality, that he`ll never say anything to anybody. And then she says she`ll talk to him.

GRACE: OK. Joining us right now via Skype, Leonard Padilla, the man of the hour again, bounty hunter out of California, offered to bail Misty Croslin out of jail. This is act II for Padilla. He bonded out tot mom Casey Anthony, and her behavior when he got her out of jail was stunning. It was like she didn`t have a care in the world. She was more worried about, Am I having chili for dinner, than anything else. He was there, or his employees were there in the home, watching her.

Padilla, how did you get into this? And what do you think about Miss Misty`s terms for you to get her out of jail?

LEONARD PADILLA, BOUNTY HUNTER: Well, I think we got into this back on the 11th of February of last year, when we actually went to Satsuma and talked to a lot of these people when we were back there on the Casey Anthony situation. And we spent about four or five days there. So we met all the players at that time. I even sat on a chair next to Ron Cummings while he was talking to the public on your show. And we talked about this thing. Some of the people that were with me talked to some of the other players in the whole situation, and we knew them from back there.

And I think what developed was when Bill Stout (ph) started talking about bailing her out, one thing and another. And the next thing is, I got a phone call from somebody asking if I was involved in bailing her out. And what I said is that I would pay for the bond, given certain stipulations. And then I gave up the situations to her attorney, and I`ve not heard anything back from him.

GRACE: Well, I`m looking at her right now. Out to you, Art Harris. She looks stoned out of her gourd. Does she always look like that? I mean, I`m just seeing video. Maybe she looks different in person.

ART HARRIS, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: I have never seen -- we have never seen a Misty like this, just obsessed with one thing. Really orchestrating...

GRACE: Herself?

HARRIS: ... not only -- yes -- not only the drug deals, she drives shotgun in every sale, Nancy. But in the jail telling her parents, ordering them to call Leonard Padilla. Do this now. Now. She is insistent.

GRACE: Well, wa-wait. I`ll tell you what took the cake for me, the final straw for me. You can`t tell me she was at home that night and does not know what happened to that girl, all right? That`s what this is all about. But then trying to get her mother to put a second mortgage or -- she was wanting the mother to lose her house payment to get her out of jail after I can see her with my own two eyes doing drug sales, OK?

HARRIS: And she doesn`t care about her brother, either. She said, To heck with Tommy, get me out first.

GRACE: Everybody, we are taking your calls. To Cindy in California. Hi, Cindy.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hi, Nancy. I love your show.

GRACE: Thank you for calling in, dear. What is your question?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You know, I wanted to know why they just don`t put her in general population. And I have a comment to that.

GRACE: Go ahead.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: My comment is, because then maybe she could get out there and she`ll find out what jail`s really about.

GRACE: Yes. I mean...

GRACE: ... did you see the most recent videos? Look at this. Look at this, Cindy in California. Do you see these cornrows? You know how many hours those things take? When she could have been working with police about finding Haleigh, she`s propped up somewhere in the jail getting her hair done.

What about it, Eleanor Odom, felony prosecutor? What about GP, general population?

ELEANOR ODOM, PROSECUTOR: I think it would be a fine idea, Nancy. Usually, she`s in solitary or somebody`s placed in solitary because they`re a danger to themselves or others. But I think in this case, she would be in danger if she was out in the general population.

GRACE: Well, she`s got it all worked out. The only problem is there`s the missing 5-year-old girl, likely dead, last known alive on her watch. And there are eight felony drug trafficking counts. Tonight, we get our mitts on secretly recorded video and audio taken inside the undercover car, the police car that catches them in conversations, dope sales, the takedown, the full sting by police, getting a taste of what a jury will see.

I want to go back out to Art Harris, investigative journalist at Artharris.com. Art, I understand she was transported to another jail. Was that just to answer up in court?

HARRIS: That`s right. It was 6:00 AM Thursday. She was taken from St. Johns County jail to Putnam County jail, close to her ex-husband, but it was just for the hearing. Then it was back to her abode.

GRACE: Out to Dr. Bethany Marshall, psychoanalyst, author of "Deal Breakers." Look, I don`t make any bones about it. I see him with my own two eyes in the middle of a dope deal. From what I`m seeing, he looks like a fifth wheel. He looks like he`s along for the ride with Misty Croslin. But you know, Bethany, I still got a soft spot for Cummings because of the pain that was so evident at the time Haleigh went missing.

You know what? If an angel came down and told me that he had something to do with Haleigh`s disappearance, I`d believe we`d have a wrestling match. I just -- I just cannot believe it. Croslin -- on the other hand, her story has never made sense. When you look at these videos, these secretly recorded videos, this is them in their own natural habitat. What do you make of it, Dr. Bethany?

BETHANY MARSHALL, PSYCHOANALYST: Well, of course you have a soft spot for Ron. He`s been very transparent with you, and he hurts over the loss of his little daughter. And you`re a crime victim, yourself. When I see Misty, she is so excited in these videos because she`s about to get drugs and money, and that is the center of excitement for her.

GRACE: Misty Croslin begging her family to get her out of jail, even complaining her lawyer`s not doing anything to help her. Croslin says she`s ready to be bailed out by bounty hunter Leonard Padilla and claims she`s not hiding anything. Padilla has said repeatedly he will bail Croslin out if and only if she reveals what she knows about Haleigh`s disappearance. But Misty Croslin is demanding it in writing that Padilla will not revoke her bond, no matter what.

MISTY CROSLIN: But please tell him try to get me out this week.

LISA CROSLIN: I am. Don`t worry.

MISTY CROSLIN: You have to start the process because they can`t bail me out until...

LISA CROSLIN: As soon as I get off the phone with you, with Dad, when we go out to the car, Dad will call and tell him that the only way that you`ll talk to him is if he bails you out and you write it in -- get it written down with your lawyer that nothing is to go on news.

MISTY CROSLIN: And that he cannot revoke my bond.

LISA CROSLIN: And he cannot revoke you.

MISTY CROSLIN: And I stay with you guys.

LISA CROSLIN: Yes. He already said you could stay with us if we got you out.

MISTY CROSLIN: And that he has to get it done soon, like, start the process because we have to go in front of the judge for me to even get bailed out.

LISA CROSLIN: I know. I know. He knows that. He said don`t worry about anything. He can do it.

MISTY CROSLIN: OK.

LISA CROSLIN: He wants to get Tommy out, too.

MISTY CROSLIN: Well, tell him to please get me out.

LISA CROSLIN: I will, I promise. So just hang in there. Let me talk to him tonight, and I`ll tell him what you just told me. And we`ll get a contract written up. All right? You know what else he`s going to do?

She didn`t want to baby sit. And something happened in that home that night and that innocent child has never been found. So don`t show me her crying because she`s behind bars.

To think that somebody could come in and take them out of their crib the way this little girl was taken, and God only knows what has been done to her, and to see Croslin stonewalling about how she doesn`t know what happened? That`s a line of BS if I ever heard it.

SUE: Oh, she knows what happened because I`ll be the first one to tell you, I`m an ex-addict. And I heard Marc Klaas in one of the shows say that she was on, you know, when she comes out of her clouded stupor.

I have to tell you and I`ll admit it, I was up to 25 to 30 perks a day and I was walking around and working. This girl knows what happened.

GRACE: I was just going to ask you that, Sue. Taking that many Percocet, you could still function, right?

SUE: I drove, I worked, I held down a full-time job, too. You know - -

GRACE: Twenty-five Percocet in one day.

SUE: Yes.

GRACE: So what do you make of Misty Croslin`s claim she just went to sleep and didn`t hear a thing?

SUE: I don`t believe it.

GRACE: I don`t believe it either, Sue.

SUE: I don`t believe it for a minute because I held down a full-time job, nobody had a clue. Nobody had a clue that I went through rehab on my own and, you know, seven years later I`m still clean and, you know, I don`t believe it because this girl knows. This girl is aware --

SUE: My question is that -- first of all it`s twofold. Did -- where did they get these pills from? And I`m going to tell you why I`m asking. I`m asking because if these prescriptions were written for her, and I`ll be the first one to tell you, it`s very easy to doctor shop.

Go to one doctor, get them from one doctor, get them from another, get them from another, from another. Very easy. But if the -- I`m wondering if there`s a bigger drug dealer in this picture. Because I really wouldn`t -- these people are not the sharpest tools in the sheds.

They`re -- you know, they`re two clowns short of a circus really, the two of them. And I just could see this being a low-level drug deal gone wrong.

GRACE: OK. Let me go out to Art Harris. It`s my understanding they were getting it from either a doctor or a pharmacist in Virginia?

ART HARRIS, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST, ARTHARRIS.COM: Nancy, my sources are telling me one of the buys did come from doctors in Virginia from the confidant of Misty, Donna Brock.

Misty gave her her prescription. She filled that and her own. Turned the pills over to Misty to sell to the undercover cop at a truck stop at 4:30 a.m. one night.

The others came --

GRACE: This is the hardest working bunch I`ve seen. They`re out working at 4:30 a.m. at a truck stop?

HARRIS: They were on their way back to Satsuma. They also got the drugs from local doctors and they are looking into this doctor shopping.

GRACE: How do you get drugs when there`s nothing wrong with you?

HARRIS: Well, Ronald was actually in an accident. He had back pain. So he legitimately had access to a doctor for pain pills. Misty had something wrong with her. And she would give her pills allegedly to Ronald.

So now you have -- you know, an asset that down there, as she says in one of these tapes, you know, Ronald is working. He doesn`t have to worry about it, but this is helping me. And then she comments that hey -- Ronald comments to the undercover cop, hey, it`s our retirement plan.

GRACE: Out to Dr. Jennifer Shu, pediatrician and editor of "Baby and Child Health." I`ve got a lot of questions for you about little Haleigh. But I want to talk about Misty Croslin. She says to her father in some of these videotape jailhouse visits that she sleeps all day. What does that mean?

DR. JENNIFER SHU, PEDIATRICIAN, CO-AUTHOR OF "BABY AND CHILD HEALTH": So in jail I`m assuming that she`s been off any type of prescription meds for a while. So --

GRACE: She`s on antidepressants.

SHU: So she could be under the effect, it could be a side effect of her prescription antidepressants. She could be depressed. It could just be her way of reacting to stress or she may have some kind of chronic illness like a thyroid disorder, for example.

GRACE: To Marlaina Schiavo, our producer on the story.

Marlaina, throughout all of this we never hear them -- I`ve heard Cummings talk about little Haleigh. But never once do we hear about Misty Croslin except to say, I don`t know.

MARLAINA SCHIAVO, NANCY GRACE PRODUCER, COVERING STORY: Well, that`s true. It`s always somebody else bringing it up to her and she sort of deflects. Like we heard recently her father said to her, you know, they`re praying for Haleigh to come home. And she says she prays every night. And a reaction to that.

And he says, well, can she come home? And she just said, yes. I`m not 100 percent sure, but sure. I mean, God didn`t tell me, but I think so. And that`s about all we hear from Misty on Haleigh.
