Really a two class medicine?

The fact that there is already a two class medicine in Germany is incontestable according to the opinion of many experts. On the one hand health and economists proved several times that humans from less educated families and with smaller income have a worse entrance to the institutions of the health service. The socialeconomic and the health chance inequality cause and strengthen so mutually. To second it gives - whether openly admitted or in covered way - one " Rationierung": Not each humans get everything that is medically possible. Thirdly private patients have it often more easily to receive the best health care.[/b] However is valid here: " Much costs viel." And during the offers of the private health insurance companies for young, healthy people appear often attractive, can avenge itself the entering the more advanced age. Despite everything that is criticized again and again, the German health service belongs in the international comparison to the best - in addition, to the most expensive. Problematic are wasting, lobbyism as well as on the one hand under and on the other hand over supply of patients. The legal health insurance (GKV) in Germany has anyhow large advantages, and one must know those likewise like the pitfalls. What pays the cash, which not? Where can I turn, if investigations, treatments and medicines are rejected? If auxiliary offers which can be paid privately (individual health achievements are, " IGeL") meaningfully or it acts around rip-off? Which additional insurances should legally insured to possibly lock, which rather not?

Wirklich eine Zwei-Klassen-Medizin? Dass es in Deutschland bereits eine Zwei-Klassen-Medizin gibt, ist nach der Meinung vieler Experten unbestreitbar. Zum einen haben Gesundheits- und Wirtschaftswissenschaftler mehrfach nachgewiesen, dass Menschen aus weniger gebildeten Familien und mit geringerem Einkommen einen schlechteren Zugang zu den Institutionen des Gesundheitswesens haben. Die sozial-ökonomische und die gesundheitliche Chancenungleichheit bedingen und verstärken sich so gegenseitig. Zum zweiten gibt es - ob offen zugegeben oder in verdeckter Weise - eine "Rationierung": Nicht jeder Mensch bekommt alles, was medizinisch möglich ist. Drittens haben es Privatpatienten oft leichter, die beste Gesundheitsversorgung zu erhalten. Allerdings gilt hier: "Viel kostet viel." Und während die Angebote der privaten Krankenkassen für junge, gesunde Menschen oft attraktiv erscheinen, kann sich der Eintritt im fortgeschritteneren Alter rächen. Trotz allem, was immer wieder kritisiert wird, gehört das deutsche Gesundheitswesen im internationalen Vergleich zu den besten - aber auch zu den teuersten. Problematisch sind Verschwendung, Lobbyismus sowie einerseits Unter- und andererseits Überversorgung von Patienten. Die gesetzliche Krankenversicherung (GKV) in Deutschland hat jedenfalls große Vorteile, und die muss man ebenso kennen wie die Fallstricke. Was bezahlt die Kasse, was nicht? Wohin kann ich mich wenden, wenn Untersuchungen, Behandlungen und Medikamente abgelehnt werden? Sind privat zu bezahlende Zusatzangebote (Individuelle Gesundheitsleistungen, "IGeL") sinnvoll oder handelt es sich um Abzocke? Welche Zusatzversicherungen sollten gesetzlich Versicherte eventuell abschließen, welche eher nicht?
