Lance Inc. Has issued a voluntary recall of all Tom's Barbecue Potato Chips because of a possible health risk.

Lance Inc. with headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina is recalling 28,087 cases of Tom's Barbecue Potato Chips packaged in 1 oz (UPC 021900060406), 2.25 oz (UPC 021900011477) and 8.5 oz (UPC 021900062417) sizes because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. To date, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the product.

The product was distributed in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, The product is sold in retail stores and was distributed by direct store delivery by Lance route trucks and by Lance distributors.

Consumers who have purchased Tom's Barbecue Potato Chips carrying the above expiration dates are urged to return the product to the place of purchase. Consumers with questions may contact the company between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday at 704 554 5548.
