                 ARUBA AND COUNTER-TERRORISM FINANCING

  Mr. BURNS. Mr. President, I rise today to pay tribute to the
Government of Aruba, a leader in the fight to stop the flow of
terrorist funds in the Caribbean and Latin America. There can be no
doubt that terrorism is the defining challenge of the Nation since 9-
11. While I have always believed that the United States must boldly and
confidently lead the way in this brutal war we find ourselves in, I
believe that help from our allies is essential to stop the financial
networks that support terrorism.
  One of the most important fronts in the war on terror concerns the
funding mechanisms that support terrorist activities, including
underground financial systems, illicit charities, and corrupt financial
service providers. Financiers, fundraisers, or donors who provide
financial support to terrorists need to be stopped.
  Earlier this year, I had met with the Prime Minister of Aruba, Mr.
Nelson Oduber. We discussed the international threat of terrorism and a
number of other issues. Prime Minister Oduber stressed his nation's
support for stopping terrorism and his determination in stopping money
laundering and terrorist financing in his nation.
  In fact, Aruba's leadership in this field started in 1990 when it
hosted what became known as the Aruba Drug Money Laundering Conference,
a regional mirror of the Financial Action Task Force--FATF--launched at
the Paris G-7 summit of 1989. This started a process, which eventually
led to the creation of the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force--
CFATF--an organization that now plays a key role in the War on Terror.
On October 30, 2001, the FATF adopted eight special recommendations on
terrorist financing and Aruba has moved to implement some of those
recommendations.
  I pay tribute today to Aruba for joining the United States of America
in the War on Terror.

Parents on ‘too much, too soon’

Raising a teenager is to learn to compromise, parents told me again and again this week. Trouble is, sometimes what you’re called to compromise is your own common sense, they said.

On Monday, I asked readers to weigh in on pricey, long-distance senior class trips. Opinion was split between parents who saw the excursions as a fun adventure — many recalled their own positive experiences on a class trip of long ago — and those who were unhinged by the expense, even if a child paid his own way.

The e-mail from a mom who signed herself “Battle worn” was typical of those who wish the trips weren’t offered, but won’t “humiliate” their teens by saying so out loud. Battle worn’s daughter will travel with the class, even though the family can not afford the luxury.

“I’d love for parents to challenge the school district on this, but I have to admit, I don’t want to be the one on TV standing up at a school board meeting complaining about these trips and baring my financial soul,” she said.

And there was this from “An Evil Stepmother,” who noted the trip’s cost is the tip of the iceberg. Her stepdaughters will need spending money and a shopping trip beforehand for “cute little Florida outfits.”

“It’s over-the-top. It’s out-ofcontrol. And it’s, unfortunately, unending. As a stepmom, I have to bite my tongue. Which is why I’m thankful there’s e-mail — my tongue’s so swollen from all the biting these days, I can hardly speak on the phone.”

As for treating kids to things that used to be reserved for grownups, a 50-year Council Rock alumna had this to say: “Today, 4-and 5-year-olds ‘graduate’ from day care/pre-kindergarten, complete with cap and gown. And thus it begins. It becomes a challenge of ‘can you top this’ for each subsequent milestone in the life of our youth.”

It wasn’t just grandma shaking her head. A Council Rock teacher who also is a parent of gradeschoolers warned too-much-toosoon is risky policy. She’s holding her ground.

“We just had another crying session because I refuse to get [my daughters’] nails done for this year’s father/daughter dance. I will paint them for them, but there is no way they are going to a salon in elementary school. [Children treated to adult goodies] have nothing else to experience except illegal and illicit things their parents won’t provide. In my work at the high school, I see the results of giving children things before they earn them or need them. They become jaded, and have to continue to up the ante.”

And those nonschool sanctioned trips to far-away resorts? Oh, don’t get parents started. And don’t let them find out you’re the parent who’s letting your darling go. They blame you for the pressure, although the Natalee Holloway story (the teen who went missing after a night of partying in Aruba) makes it easier to fight it.

Simon, a Pennsbury parent, urged moms and dads to stand up to anything they don’t feel good about.

“It’s ridiculous to feel compelled to go along … I have a line with my own children when they trot out the ‘But everyone else is going, Dad ‘ or ‘Everyone has those shoes’ — or whatever else I’m supposed to go along with, in the name of not upsetting the apple cart. The response is this: ‘All the more reason for not having it, then. It’s boring to be like everyone else.’ ”

Stand back for the howling.

Kate Fratti, whose column appears on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, extends her sympathy to parents of three, four and five children. How do they do it — financially and emotionally?

That's a good article San.  The pressure that is put on parents, and that parnets put on themselves is rediculous.  We almost fell into that trap with our daughter.  Well we did sortof with the clothes, and such.  That was our chosing though.  We were so happy that we enforced the rules about how ladies should dress when Kristen was little.  So when she wanted a new blouse or sumpin of course we'd rush out and buy it.  And we were very blessed that she had good friends who were really good kids we never had to worry too much about her wanting to dress inapropriately. (spelling)   (you should have seen the look on daddy's face the first time she wanted a 2 piece bathing suit.)  :lol:  :lol:  

The defining moment came when she was a senior in high school.  All the gang wanted to go to the local pool hall.  :shock:   Of course we got the speal that "everybody was going".   We knew those girls shouldn't be there so me and daddy was the bad guys and said "NO".  The funny thing is none of the parents wanted their kids to go there, and was relieved when we said no.  It gave them the courage to tell their kids they couldn't go either.  Somebody's gotta step up.  8)

We also realized that we weren't doing Kristen any favors by ging out and buying everything she wanted when she thought she "needed" it.  That was a slow process. lol  Had to wing her easy ya know.  Now she shops the bargain racks, and thank God we taught her that cause she's getting married in a year, and she's hunting for those bargains.  Already got the reception guy to come down $250.00 on the Atrium of the Holiday Inn where she wants her reception.  We're going tomm to look at wedding dresses.  She has her eye on a beautiful dress from David's Bridal that is $400.00.........PLEASE God let that be the one. LOL  Her best friend just got married and her dress was $1400.00   Thank goodness I always taught her "simple and elegant".

OK I think I'm rambling now.  :lol:

Point is......parents  gotta get some gumption about them, and stand up!

Snoopy, we had boys but went through similar.  Our friends' youngest daughter is getting married in April, btw, and the bride, bridesmaids & mom all found gowns/dresses at GroupUSA....not sure if there is one near you, but they have a website.  Bride's dress ended up a $99 special deal & Mom's was $150....I'd say they did well. :wink:

San, that was a good article.  I am faced with this dilemma right now.  My only child graduates in June.  He and 2 friends want to go to Cancun to an all inclusive resort.  The Mothers of the other two feel as I do,  They aren't going without us 3 Moms.  So the discussions are well under way.  Who knows what will be decided :?

Ms.DarthVada, my sister is faced with the same problem in June.  I just came out and said do not let him go he is not mature enough to go on a trip to Cancun.  I said you know him and his friends and he will get in trouble and Mexico is a bad place to get in trouble.

I told her you give him everything and now he expects this.  When is it going to stop.  You need to stop it and tell him no and that's the end.  She agreed with me and said he is not going.

I am against these trips,SAN.I think they are a bad idea that puts children at risk,since the predators know when and where they will be and how to catch,when their guard is down.CAT

Heck I was worried to death when my daugter and her girlfriends  went to Branson for their trip, and that's only 4 hours away.  :shock:   Boy did they get a talkin to.  :oops:   I told them I was just doing my job, and don't give me none of this  :roll:

Yes.  Seems everything has to be bigger & better these days.  My HS class trip was canceled due to heavy rain.  We were supposed to go to Bear Mtn, which is just over the state line from NJ to NY.  It's only about 30 minutes from where we live, now.   Trips then were educational.  Now, just sensational, to put it mildly.

I am against trips like this too Cat.  Especially to Aruba and Mexico.  They are not safe countries and support people like the Sloots.

I think all these travel agencies that promote these trips need to hand out flyers with a picture of the 3 suspects in Aruba and bullet point what they do in establishments like CnC's to American tourists and the last bullet point should be don't bother to call the police because they are paid to turn their head the other way because it is a way of life for them.

FYI - a couple of interresting things you may want to test for FUN.  Put in an incorrect number, if the question is what is 5+5, put in 6.  Look at the response you get.

Also...try a duplicate.  Put in just the word TEST in the comment area, then try just the word TEST again.  The filter warns you it's a duplicate post.

At the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force in 1997 - Rick Smid (now Judge Smid) was the expert on Money Laundering in the Casino & Gaming Industry!!! See reference below.  I found this many months ago and wondered if Judge Smid now heads up the illegal money laundering operations in the Caribbean.  It makes sense to me that an expert on money laundering could decide to go to the "dark side" as he would know all the ins & outs and how to avoid the law.

Smid is the Judge who freed Joran, Freddie, K2 in September 2005.  He supposedly is Paulus's good buddy.  Could Paulus be in cahoots with Smid in the money laundering biz?  Maybe Joran & Guido were in on it too.

CANCUN trip?  Read about ADAM DEPRISCO and discuss with your son.  It was on the front page and discussed on Dana's show.  I think that 18 is too young to go to Mexico alone.  Too much partying, too much temptation, too much corruption, too many thugs selling drugs and/or looking for "rich" Americans to rob or exploit.  If it wasn't for Natalee, I wouldn't have thought the same about some of our Caribbean countries, but we've learned.  I do think it takes a degree of maturity to avoid the pitfalls of some of these places.  A lot of people in their 20's don't have that.

I loved my job as a tester.  Unfortunately, I only had it for 8 months.  The company I worked with had a huge layoff.

That's good because it will help eliminate the "smart" spam.

I had 10 years with the company....started at General Office and after a couple years was transferred to IS....learned and developed the skills through programmers & trial and error.  Loved the investigative challenge with some of the errors or bugs that would come up through the years.  Looking at some of the jobs out there, I don't have the technical background in the system requirements.  My tenure on that job only exposed me to our little programs.  

I'll be still now....

But you have the analytical skills to perform the same job elsewhere.  It's all in how you present yourself.  :wink:

Ex-Cop Indicted In '64 Slaying Of Two Black Teens
Jan. 25 - James Ford Seale, a 71-year-old former sheriff's deputy, has been indicted in the deaths of two black teens Henry Dee and Charles Moore, whose badly beaten bodies were found in the Mississippi River in a 1964 search for civil rights workers.

A former Mississippi sheriff's deputy was arrested Wednesday in the 1964 slayings of two black teenagers who were long believed to have been kidnapped and killed by the Ku Klux Klan.

The former deputy, James Ford Seale, of Roxie, Miss., was named in a federal indictment charging him in connection with the teens' disappearance and deaths while they were hitchhiking in a rural area of the state east of Natchez.

Until recently, Seale was thought to be dead, and the investigation into the two deaths had long been abandoned.

Seale was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon and was taken to Jackson, Miss. He is expected to be arraigned Thursday on kidnapping charges stemming from the May 1964 disappearances of Henry Dee and Charles Moore.

Two months after Dee and Moore disappeared, their bodies were pulled from the Mississippi River as part of an FBI-led search for three civil rights workers reported missing about 160 miles away near Philadelphia, Miss.

Federal authorities, who were focusing on the more famous "Mississippi Burning" killings, turned the Dee and Moore case over to local authorities. A short time later, a justice of the peace called an end to the inquiry without presenting evidence to a grand jury.

Moore's older brother, Thomas Moore, worked with Canadian film producer David Ridgen for two years piecing together what happened in 1964. The effort led them to a brief confrontation with Seale, a former sheriff's deputy who had been reported as deceased in several newspapers.

In 2000, the Justice Department's civil rights unit reopened the case, the most recent in a string of civil rights-era killings that have been revived by state and federal authorities in the South.

Moore and Ridgen, along with Dunn Lampton, the U.S. attorney who has led the investigation in Mississippi, were traveling to Washington for a news conference as early as Thursday with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Reached by cell phone on his way to the capital, a crying Thomas Moore said: "It's been a long journey, and I don't guess it could have happened any other way."

"I hope and I believe that Charles Moore and Henry Dee are beginning to smile," Thomas Moore said. "I'm hoping Charles Moore is saying I didn't let him down."

Seale and another man, Charles Marcus Edwards, were first arrested in the case in November 1964, four months after the bodies were found. At the time, Seale was asked if he knew why he had been arrested. The FBI said he responded: "Yes, but I'm not going to admit it. You are going to have to prove it."

Both men were reputed members of the Ku Klux Klan, which at the time was cracking down on a rumored gunrunning operation by black Muslims in rural Franklin County., Miss.

On May 2, 1964, according to federal documents, Seale offered the two black hitchhikers a ride, then drove them to a wooded area where he and others whipped them with bean poles. An informant later told the FBI that the Klansmen took the unconscious men to the river, lashed their bodies to a Jeep engine block and old railroad rails and dumped them, still breathing, into the muddy water.

Edwards initially told federal investigators the two black men were alive when he left them and he had nothing to do with any murders, according to FBI documents. He later denied making the statement.

Edwards was not expected to face any new charges, although authorities did not immediately say why.

The case is the latest long-dormat civil rights-era killing to be reopened decades after the crimes were committed. The others include:

A 1994 conviction in Mississippi of Byron de la Beckwith for the 1963 sniper killing of NAACP leader Medgar Evers.

Bobby Frank Cherry, convicted in 2002 in Alabama of killing four black girls in the bombing of a Birmingham church in 1963. In 2001, Thomas Blanton was convicted in the church bombing.

Edgar Ray Killen, an 80-year-old former Klansman, convicted of manslaughter in June 2005 in the deaths of James Chaney, Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner, the three civil rights workers who were killed near Philadelphia in 1964.


Posted this in hopes that if this can be solved after so many years...There will be justice found for Natalee too someday.

O/T  Hi Monkeys! As most of you have heard me say, My Mom broke her hip in December. Last week she graduated from her walker to a cane. I take her to therapy 3 x a week, and yest. I went to her house to get her. One minute she seemed fine. Next thing, she doubled up in agony...saying she had gas pain and couldn't expel it. This went on for 1/2 hour, until I insisted on calling an ambulance. At the hospital from 12.30 yesterday till 10:30 last night in the ER. They admitted her. Good thing they did! She has a bladder infection, a perforated bowel, and impaction with sepsis. Had surgery from 9:00 am this morning till 11:30. She is stable, thank God! Any monkey prayers for her are appreciated!

It was November she broke her hip, oh my nerves!!

OMG Elaine - thank god you got her to the hospital.  I'll keep her in my prayers.  Poor thing after all she's gone through with the hip and now this.  I bet you are a bundle of nerves.  {{HUGS}}

Is the family aware of this smear campaign against Spencer Bacchus?  Does it have their approval?  Is there one shred of evidence linking Bacchus to Abramoff?  If so, what is it?

What am I missing here?  That entry into the congressional record is three years old!  It was made by Burns of Montana and not Spencer Bacchus.  The date is:  [Congressional Record: December 7, 2004]

Has there been an entry into the record since the one posted by VMS that was made by Bacchus or is the one from 2004 the only one?  Please direct me to it as I can only find the one posted.  That was before Natalee was missing wasn't it?  So what is the connection to Bacchus?

Here is some information that you can relie on as truth! What is heard in the LEO circles on need to know bases is this: 1. The blood found in the vehicle was in the trunk of the vehicle not the back seat.It was of heavy volume.The blood in the back seat was minute trace blood,like a small droplet.DNA samples take up to a week or better for a match depending onwhat test are ordered.The FBI most likely had the samples sent to Quantico,Va.to be tested.2. The vehicle did not go to the light house and return to the “Holiday Inn” as reported.The 3 subjects rode around the island of Aruba and then supposedly returned to the “Holiday Inn”.However this is still a ongoing theory givin by the 3 subjects.Mileage in the car suggested different than what would have been had the subjects just gone to the lighthouse.4.The uniform the guards that where at the “Holiday Inn” was the type worn by guards inviolved in concerts and outdoor type of affairs,not the typical uniforms worn by hotel and casino guards.They where black and had white flurescent lettering across the back.This is part of a profile some local LEO officers in Florida are putting together from real excellent scources in Aruba.The two Dutch officers that came to Aruba this AM are polygraph operators.The aruba police department are of honesty and integrity.Not corrupted nor political.However they are restricted somewhat,but not ashamed to as for outside help.Ms.Holloways family asked help from a state senator.The senator sent the FBI agents to Aruba.Aruba and the USA are close working
in many types of investigations beside this particular ongoing investigation.

Anna - I'm not suggesting a "smear campaign" against Bachus. I feel that any letters written about this should be copied to him because he represents Mt. Brook.

Now, in order to REALLY get into the nitty-gritty, one would have to study Bachus' voting record on matters of casinos and whatever else Abramoff lobbied. I personally cannot take on that kind of research - I just don't have the time.

And there not be anything illegal at all - politicians trade favors, votes all the time, especially if it doesn't directly impact most of their own constituents.

Heck - Bachus himself may be startled to know about this. HE might want an investigation. The whole Abramoff story is very complicated and has a lot of arms.

I thought it was all the eyes watching the dirty money change hands and waiting for their share.

Spencer Bacchus is one of the sponsors of the bill that put an end to online gambling so I think he couldn't  have dealt Aruba and Curacao a more harmful blow.  His record in putting a stop to this practice is well known.

Yes, the Front Page says (and possibly Bacchus) as a suggestion that he is connected to Abramoff.  I certainly will send all of this to his office for his comments but do not think it particularly wise to alienate the only politician to openly help Beth aside from Gov. Riley.  

And I won't do it without instructions from the family that this is what they want done, either, for I highly doubt that it is.  I also find it morally objectionable to imply a connection when the opposite would seem to be the case.

That is a routine entry into the congressional record like dozens every day and nothing special about it at all.  I don't understand what it has to do with Bacchus.  It was made before Natalee disappeared and by Burns of Montana.

Abramoff has been in jail since 8-2005 I do believe and nothing since Natalee disappeared has been entered anywhere.  

Bacchus was just re-elected by the people of MB and Vestavia and they seem quite happy with his performance.  That is their business, not mine, and I am not going to be a party to claiming a connection between Bacchus and Abramoff like this without absolute proof.

In anyone has proof of anything at all, please contact the Attorney General with that information as I am sure he would like to know even more than I would.  This thing with Abramoff is long past the "congressional inquiry" stage and has been for about a year now.  He is sitting in jail and has been for quite some time.

Guilt by association only works when there is some proof of the association part and Bacchus has OPPOSED online gambling, costing the online casinos potentially millions of dollars.  That hardly says he is in their pocket as the implication would seem.

This seems much more a political attack than a matter of truth or fact.  Why claim a connection MIGHT exist when this man has opposed the casino lobby as few others have done?  I guess I just don't understand the pay off from doing this.  

Go for it!  I can't stop anybody but I sure am not going to make any such accusations without some reason for doing so.  He is one of the few to actually inflict financial pain on the casinos operating online from the Caribbean. And in many ways, that is almost as good as the boycott is doing.  Similar amounts of money involved in their losses.

It is with great sadness that I inform you that our friend Jamie Skeeters passed away today. He was in his seat on a connecting flight in Memphis, TN, at the time. His lovely wife Kay asked me to pass this message on to you.


This saddens me.  It must have been very sudden.  He wasn't that old, at least from my perspective.    I do hope that his tapes will speak for his life, and they will provide a solution.

But only Skeeters can tell a jury what he and Deepak talked about with regard to recording him.  That's another count in the Complaint.

On 12/14/06 an attorney (Haggerty) for Dr. Phil, Skeeters et al, filed with the court a "Notice of Related Case".  They were attempting to tie/relate the Twitty/Holloway vs Kalpoes wrongful death law suit to this suit (Kalpoes vs Dr. Phil et al).
It appears that there was a court hearing yesterday morning regarding this in front of Judge Ferns, and a court Order was filed yesterday (1/24/07). Related Cases - Denied

One of the caves on the East coast, Guadirikiki or one of them, supposedly has many tunnels.  The tunnels could possibly be a Maze, as people do get lost in caves following the tunnels.

Could the cave have a hidden room large enough to hold a rave?

Also caves are dark inside (shant be found in the light).  Might be one has to know where the rave room is as it can't be readily seen even with a flashlight.  Hidden in plain view!!

Our case, and Natalee's family, have lost a great friend and defender.

At least now, he will not be embroiled in the coming battles.

I also saw the news of the decision in Cal and I hope it is a positive thing... is it correct that the linkage was sought by the Skeeters camp and NOT specifically by Beth? If so, it does not appear to affect Beth's case at all.

As anyone can plainly see, the two are diametrically opposed in the arena of online gambling, the biggie in the Abramoff scandals.  

The entry into the congressional record on behalf of Nelson Oduber occurred in 2004, long before Natalee Holloway disappeared.  And Jack Abramoff was under heavy federal scrutiny and possible in jail within weeks of Natalee's disappearance so I do not see any way on earth for there to be a connection there to her disappearance in any way, let alone with Spencer Bachus involved in what would for all intents and purposes be a political opponent and big time adversary.


And I also realize that I am talking to myself, saying things no one wants to hear but it's still the truth no matter who doesn't like it.   :roll: We don't know what might or might not have been behind Bachus appearing to back off involvement in this investigation but I will give him the benefit of the doubt until I do know.

Abramoff supported online gambling and Bachus sponsored a bill to defeat it and make it illegal.

 Shango knew where these rave houses were located.  He also was knowledgeable about the goings on in them too.  Shango wasn't just a bystander, he was in on the information.

Absolutely, I totally agree. In following the events of the case at the time and Shango's postings which gave information either as it happened or sometimes even before it happened, did more to instill in my mind the believability that reading after-the-fact just could not do.

But i have always been intrigued by that part of the verse, nd have read it in the past, and referenced it in the past. Now tonight when I went to the Shango posts, I am not finding it. I read about Jamie Skeeters on the FP and attempt to post several times but seems it's on a clitch right now.

Jamie has been such help in Natalee's case. I hope his hard work does not go unnoticed and will still be used to help with the case in CA.

You're right Lala's about the fact they were not at the beach.  I believe it is because they were at the Van der Sloot house.  That house is like a maze with all the different sections.  Who was with Paulus in his house?

I also believe that they had the music playing.  In one of Joran's statements he talks about Deepak having the music blasting in his car and a neighbor coming out and asking him to lower this music because their baby was sleeping.  Now if it wasn't that particular night it could have been the night before.  It would not matter if it was the night because Joran would just lie and say oh they are getting confused it wasn't that night it was this night and yes I did have the music blasting in the car.  This is all tied together.  Bottom line he was seen at his house.

The neighbor next door was away on vacation who lived on the other side.

01/26/2006 - Diario reports the death of Maria Petrochti, 66. She was found in the water in a rocky area, Alto Vista, north coast. Apparently the body was difficult to access and retrieve. A taxi is mentioned.

Sandy Leiva - If you pop in - see if you can get anything more from this. I hope a 66-yr-old woman has not met with foul play.

This gal that was found drowned in Aruba I believe is the one that they were searching for a couple days ago.  It was reported at FOB.

MF posted 1/24/2007:

Police helicopter, the Red Cross, volunteers and others, are scouring the area behind Alto Vista. Since two days ago (48 hours) there has been an elderly woman missing. She left home and information is that she went to the chapel. Not much detail around this search right now.

Family and ALE has been searching for this person the last 2 days, and today this massive search is going on.

Heck,  my 97 year old grandma is still living and I consider her elderly as she now is in a nursing home because she can't care for herself.

All those helicopters are P4 XTC's - that is the make/type of helicopter.
I looked at the picts of Abramovich's yacht.  Wow!  His helicopter's registration numbers are HX something.

I know with private airplanes/jets they use the owners initials plus some numbers.  My cousin used to be a co-owner of Jet-Ports, the private jet port next to the NASCAR track in Daytona. We could tell whose plane/jet it was by the initials.  Boy we used to have some fun at those races.  Got a ton of autographs & pictures with the drivers.  They called me Typhoid Mary b/c I had my picture taken with Davey Allison, Alan Kulwicki & Neil Bonnett all who died within the same year of me having my picture taken with them.  :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

Thanks for clarifying that for me.  I meant to say this last night and just got sleepy.  It isn't any indication that there is anything sinister going on.  I was just making the observation that all of those helos had the same indication of XTC.  I doubt any correlation to the Shango verse.  Just me thinking out loud once again.

Without knowing where it was posted I'm learing of it really being Shango.  I do not believe this was posted at SM.

Guido's father at one time headed up a political party.  That party is no longer active.  Last I heard Guido's father was ill.  I'm not sure what his mother does but I do think it was discussed back when Guido was arrested.  I'll see if I can find anything.

I can't check those old posts right now, Tom is working on fixing some things in the front page comment area.  I did extensive research a few months back into the real Shango posts and the fake Shango posts.  There were many fake Shango's and fake Simians.  When I'm able to check again I'll look for that one in particular.

Thanks, you have helped and I trust that you are correct until proven otherwise.  I missed many of those posts in the early months, I was thinking along very different lines then and just passed right on by.

To expound on your questions and excellent observations....I think the reason the entire island has done so very little to correct the problem concerning the Sloots and K2 is because they CAN'T.  The power and influence of the Dutch is very deep rooted.  It extends to the ALE and even some of the locals.  If you had an underground money making scheme to move illicit drugs and other things from around the world through your tiny island, would you sacrifice it just to hang a few people?  No way!  It's not about the economy with the Powers That Be.  It's about the money.  Just because the gambling and money laundering isn't as prolific as it once was, who's to say the big deal wasn't in other areas.  The locals have lost it all in the way of tourism and jobs.  Their livelihoods are tanking big time and yet they just stand by and watch it happen.  There is something else in play here and I fear it is far greater than the Sloots or the Kalpoes.  We just don't know what it is yet.  My bet is that it concerns global things rather than local things. People with money and influence do not care for the little guy.  They only want to maintain the status quo.

I certainly don't think Shango is CC. Those fake posts (Simian) above are blantaly fake. There is no quality to the writing. Shango even pointed out in his writings-when writing on occasion, when a "fake" Shango was posting, which was interesting.

I spoke with gagirl at BFN, and she did remind me that there were some fake Shango posters on the CnC site. I actually briefly read them. She didn't save any, neither did I. You could tell they were fake .
