I came back to the States (SoCal) in 1950 when I was six years old. The first six years are the most formative. I was enrolled in the local elementary school. I had never seen a football game, a baseball game, basketball, soccer, hockey, etc. I still don't understand football. I understand soccer. I hate basketball the most, with their self indigent behavior. Wayne Gretzky has such bad arthritis he cannot walk unassisted. I got a Viet Nam vet boyfriend in 1974 who taught me all about baseball. I loved it.
