You'll want to check the glasses in your cabinet. There is a recall for 14,000 Moroccan tea glasses sold at Cost Plus because they contain excessive levels of lead in the exterior coloring.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission does not have any reports of illnesses. However, lead is toxic if ingested by children with children six and younger at greatest risk.

The glasses were sold at Cost Plus/World Market nationwide from June 2009 through November 2009 and sold in 7-ounce and 11.25 ounce sizes. They have an etched graphic design on the outside of the glass and were sold in assorted colors such as blue, green and red.

If you bought these you should stop using them immediately and return them to any Cost Plus/World Market for a full refund.

If you have questions you can call (877) 967-5362 between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. ET any day or visit the company's Web site:

Thank you for the post Muffy - I swear I almost purchased these exact glasses .. I was thinking about how they would hold up in the dishwasher so I didn't buy them.

They really are pretty, but I'm glad you passed up buying them.  I would have questioned their durability in the dishwasher too, and something has to be really special for me to hand wash it.   ::MonkeyWink::
