If GVC's sister was in the reenactment, I missed that discussion, or it went over my head.  Seems conflict of interest is of no importance in Aruba.  Just thinking of all the blood lines intertwined on the island and the players we're aware of, whether suspect, witness or ALE....

Wether the kids mother was telling the truth I don't know, all I know is she is there and I am in Boston. 4G63 might be able to verify this when he gets on tommorow, he works right down the road from the HOliday Inn and Marriot in Aruba he has been very informative so far.

No interesting news up to now. The only thing I've heard is that they arrested two persons more yesterday, but I can't confirm that yet.

As I said before, there's a group of spoiled rich boys in Aruba, that target American teen girls, specially the drunken ones in the night clubs, and push them with drugs (coke and xtc).
I think that Van Der Slob is part of that group.

I frequent Carlos & Charlies almost every weekend, and I've seen these spoiled kids how they start sweet talking these drunken girls and then leave with them too. God knows what they do with them, nothing good I think.

If Natalee was murdered, let's hope not, then this Dutch punk is the main suspect. still havent heard from father in law in zephyrhills yet.  I'm hoping they are fine too.

We were not affected this far south.

I am trying to reach my sister in Ocala, my sil in Zephyrhills and 2 cousins -- Tarpon Springs and Ft Pierce. But they could all fine and at work.

Oh Goodness!  This destruction is just terrible.  The more I see the worse it looks.  I just heard someone say one area covered over 20 square miles.  It appears that some of these areas are rural enough to be almost impossible to check out in a hurry.  

Today is a good day for our prayer time.  So many people in need.

That I know of, North West Florida was not damaged from any tornado's. I will keep an eye on the news here. It appears and sounds like more central Florida.

Just a little Shango before I go.  Well, it's more a Simian thing.    Last night I was listening to late night talk radio, yes it was Coast to Coast AM, and the host, George Noory mentioned something that caught my attention.  He was talking about dopplegangers.  He said something to the effect that dopplegangers are not just similar or carbon copies of a person but they are the "other" side of them.  As in the bad side of the person.  All those wheels began to turn in my mind and things started to click.  What if Simian's doppleganger posted in order to do just the opposite of what the original Simian was trying to do.  If you read the posts of the doppleganger, as determined by Klaas, then you have the beginnings of a disagreement between Simian and Shango.  That is where the story of the decapitated head was washing ashore and so forth.  Shango finally calls this Simian on it.  Instead of thinking that both Simians were working together our doppleganger was making every effort to distract.  I know this is nothing new, just sort of made sense to me at the time.   Sorry, I have digressed here.

My sister just told me that 2 of the people confirmed dead are students at Umatilla HS.  One of them is my nephews friend,  and he has another friend that is missing.

She's so upset at the lack of coverage in her area where the majority of the deaths were.  They keep taling about Lady Lake, like nothing else happened to anyone else around there.

Prayers for all of those in the area of tornadoes and all of ya'll with family and loved ones.... This is terrible... All monkeys in FLA - please stay safe!   I am so sorry for those who have been affected by this.  My heart is broken . :cry:

What I'm getting from the News is essentially Central Florida was hit very hard....Volusia county, Lake county & Sumtner.....3-4 am...All I heard last night, when it woke me up, was the loudest, strongest winds I've ever heard!!!!  It sounded like baseballs were hitting the windows....I dared not look out....No damage outside today here....N. of Tarpon Springs....

Praying all in  Lady Lake, Central county are safe!

Ms....I checked Mapquest to see how close this was to where I lived in New Port Richey...not close but I did see that mapquest has aerial views of that part of Florida....it looks open and rural....with lakes and trees and some farmland....there is nothing to stop or divert these storms....and I also knew that there was no place to hide....every single room had windows...that included bathrooms....I am so glad that your sister is ok but there will be so much to do to bring these communities back.....
FEMA uses trailers....and you can see what happens to a trailer in one of these storms..... :(

Ms.DV.....during the aftermath of Katrina, we went on local TV and Newspaper blogs to find family.  Sometimes it took a few minutes....sometimes it took days....but these blogs had so much other
information also....what businesses were open...where you could get water and food and gas....where you could find shelters...etc.

I'm not positive, but it looks to me that American Airlines has canceled a flight or all flights from New York to Aruba???  Hopefully Sandy or someone can translate for us.

Wouldn't that be great.  If American Airlines cancelled flights there would have to be a real good reason.  I wonder if there are any US warnings out yet. Didn't I read within 30 days there would be something about that happening?  I'm slow, but looking for that.

I checked aa.com and also their travel site.  There are flights & reservations still posted as available thruogh 11/29/07.  The article mentions JetBlue...Boston, NYC & San Juan, PR...so it may be a suspension due to connecting flights & JetBlue's schedule....just guessing, and could be totally off.

Aruba certainly isn't one of the venues for the cricket.  Closest venue to Aruba is probably Jamaica with matches also in Georgetown, Guyana.  Rest of them in the island group St.Lucia, Barbados etc.  No warnings on any of the official World Cup Cricket websites.  As an Aussie I will taking more than a passing interest in the matches!

It is always tornado season in the south east.I saw the warning last night,but I am not in the area.I have relatives all over central Florida,no word either way.Hey Tib,The pimps should know not mess with people from down under or the nordic countries,to tough.I mean your water rotates the wrong way and they wouldn't be sure what to do,besides,it is hard to spike a Fosters.I played rugby against some of your countrymen and they are tough.Saw one guy from Hobart get knocked out,carted off and return later.The damage looked to be an F-3 maybe.The Florida area gets lots of tornado's but not the F-5's.I pray everyones family is okay.CAT

We have several forum members that live in Florida, some have checked in to say they are OK and others we haven't heard from yet.  Hopefully everyone is OK.  Very sad all the death and distruction early this morning with those tornados.

Hey Cat - you are right, those guys are tough.  Rugby not so popular here but when we moved to Queensland they are a rugby state and you had to learn all about it or be out of the conversation  Got to meet some of the star players and they are big fellows.  Most of the girls here now drink those bottled vodka and fruit juice drinks.  Would be hard to spike those especially if you took the cap off yourself.  Never let your drink out of your hand is a good rule.
I did offer to see if our cricketers would pay a visit to Aruba and smack a few people around with a cricket bat.  Might refresh their memories.

The northbound 405 Freeway was closed in Sherman Oaks this afternoon after a giant construction crane collapsed onto part of the roadway.

A person trapped inside the collapsed crane was shown being removed from the wreckage by emergency personnel, according to television news broadcasts.

The crane collapsed about 1 p.m., prompting the California Highway Patrol to close all northbound lanes at Ventura Boulevard. The southbound carpool lane was also closed, according to CHP spokesman Patrick Kimball.

The freeway lanes could remain closed until 5 p.m., according to the most recent estimates, he said.

Cat,  Anzac Cove is one place I would really love to visit.  Please tell us all about it when you return.  They have done a lot of work there making larger car parking space etc., so I hope they have not spoiled the aura of the place.
There were a lot of brave men lost their lives there from both sides of the conflict.  I know the Anzacs had great respect for their Turkish opponents.  They would take a "day off" from the battle to bury their dead or have a smoke with their enemies.  I am sure I have read that they had an unofficial truce for Christmas Day and shared their rations with the enemies then went back to the battle the next day.   Animals are much wiser than humans

Hello everyone. I have missed you... Been offline for almost two weeks..Verizon phone line problems, inside wiring problems and a tab caught in my ans. machine/phone. Took it apart but wasn't successful so new machine. Also my hard disk drive went down, 2nd time in 2 months.

Don't know why, but sure would like to know. Apple replaced it. I have Macs for years and more trouble lately, but I am online more too so???

Klaas, the TV just said the 405 would open in next 1/2 hr. Heard about it hear, just now... we have 5 of those cranes along the 405 in "my" city.

Seems many of those in FLA were in trailers. Chances in one of those is so slim in disasters.

What have I missed in the last 2 weeks? Any news re: Natalee and/or the court cases? the Dutch Team? or ?

Still haven't tackled Verizon DSL successfully. Rewiring my mobile home myself has become a challenge.. only blue and white wires at the box and 4 colors inside so will check internet for more instructions.

On ABC news they are going to talk about a program sometime tonight or soon,  so every man and women soldier will come home to a good home coming. It was so sad in Vietnam era when my husband was in the military, would have negatives and our friends, who survived, too.

Tonight I have to do a 50/50 at the Legion ( I am Auxiliary Pres) at our Fundraiser dinner tonight and do the dishes. I love doing dishes if it's for a good cause! and it is... our Veteran programs and us trying to raise $90 to send one of our Juniors (we mentor in Patriotism, history, leadership) to Leadership camp in April. I am mentoring her to be come Unit Pres. in 2 yrs. when she turns 18. Her goal is to be National Pres.

You know, there are so many baddies in the world., it's a pleasure when your have positives in your families and around you!!

Luckily I don't have to get on the 405, althought the post is just off it! Maybe we will have more for our fundraiser. I should go to an exit with a sign about a 7$ donation for pork dinner (and reduced drink prices) I bet some of them could use a few drinks because of frustration!

I lost the tomatoes (in the ground) (but they were on their last legs two) I lost in containers 3/4 of the poinsettas, and 1/2 of the tropicals... but I think I can make what is left rally around. Thanks for remembering

The underground utility workers told me they'd give me new soil and pick up the old if I'd put it out by my car.. (a really good deal) this way I can plant the tomatoes in the same place this year. I used to have a tradition of planting them on Feb. 7th or so, so will try this year. I have those water tube thingies that will go around them when they are small and protect them.

All 405 except 1 lane open. Backed up still, though.

Cat, when you list it all together like that it shows just how they have the whole island covered.  They must know something if not all about the happenings that night and need to talk even if they are involved.

 IBE The public were not very welcoming here when the Viet Vets returned home but many years later they held a parade of the ones still able to attend and there was a wonderful response, so opinions finally changed and now they get a rousing reception at our Anzac Day marches.  I had a brother and a cousin there so I know some of what they had to put up with.

Don't panic Klaas - I have to clean out all the names and prepare it to resend so sometime in next hour or so  :lol:  :lol:

Sorry for the delayed response, my phone is ringing off the hook. I am going to talk to her mother about TES , I had already thought of that, just dont want to overstep my boundaries without checking with her. This young lady is very special to me . I babysat her for four years and I pick her up from basketball practice alot when she doesn't have a ride.She is like a little sister to my son and my husband calls her his little sweetheart.
From what is going on now it does not look good for her at all. I hear of these things everyday, but this one has hit too close to home and am having a very hard time dealing with it.

Hi Rob, yes they have a POI . He has told some conflicting stories and has unexplained scratches on his face, he asked a friend to give him an alibi for yesterday afternoon. He lives next door to Kaitlin.... :cry:  :cry:
We have been up all night worrying about her and it is cold and dark and she is still missing.....I dont have a good feeling about this at all....

He is married to Kaitlins cousing and I just heard that he has done some time for kidnapping a girl, word is that he raped her also.... not sure about all that, still getting info as we speak...

Oh, the "man" (see I think he's less than a man) who threatened me and others here, still lives 3 mobile homes away... I haven't seen him lately and I am glad. Still have the shot gun by the bed and the bullets near by and some rifles (but don't have clips so not of use)

I won't be in peace until one of us moves. Ironically, I forgot to lock my door yesterday on the way to the meeting and everything was OK.. so we have goodness here too! We have 99 % goodness here in the gated community.

I wore my red Monkeys' Christmas t=shirt to our meeting last night and was going to use it in my report... but we didn't have a quorum... our group sometimes needs a playground monitor and not a Pres...  (I can say that for I am the Pres and we only have about 5-7 really active members)

Re: cranes... unless a big earthquake.. these "just" don't turn over! I saw someone killed on Blacksheep when the lifting a jeep hit a high voltage line and was in muddy water. We were at Indian dunes (location) and I called in the emerg. call.. via Universial operator.. she wouldn't take me serious when I asked for a 911 line.. I was trying to take care of the survivor what walked in in a daze onto the cot in front of me. Told the operator I would have her job if she didn't cooperate. (at that time I had the networking power to make some ruffles)

The man I helped who stumbled in onto the cot next to the phone until ER arrived about 30 mins. later, years later saw me on a set years later and thanked me. I didn't recognize him for he had looked so bad when I had "met" him previously.

Rob, the guy they have in custody is Mark Sterling Lewis. He lived in French Settlement, La. Not sure where he lived before that, but a friend just told me that he worked in a local store about ten years ago and we though he was strange back then.This is too creepy, and too close to home. That child had every reason the trust that man..... :cry:

He lives on the side of her house in a manufactured home... It is my understanding that he told the police that he had been at work. He then told them that he got the scratches in a fight at work. Then he told them that he got into a fight with his wife. He showed up at a friends house at 5 pm yesterday and was acting very strange,he told his friend that he needed an alibi for between 4 and 4:30. The friend called the police this morning when he heard that KK was missing.I am sick about this and realize that it does not look good. I am trying to prepare myself for the worse while trying to hang on to a shred of hope that she will be found alive and well...

Reading everything and taking it all in. We've had a lot of hard news today.

This news about Cubbees friends daughter is heart wrenching. I pray for Kaitlin and her family and for comfort. I pray that she is still alive and will be returned home.

Didn't I read that this Lewis guys wife was over at Kaitlins house one day and the next disappeared? I wonder where she is at? Something is fishy with that to me.

I called the poilce dept  225-665-2241   let them know TES was wanting to help but could not until requested by family for police dept.
(they did not have any seaches going on at this time)...
I gave the "receptionsionst" a quick run down on TES (prob. too short) and how they might be able to be there Sat. if anyone asked them
I did not have the office # handy was not going to pass along the other # untill I got a call from someone there (sorry)
Also let them know efforts were going on to contact the family so the could contact TES and them (the police)

Called Tim / left message on answering machine  letting him know I contacated the police  left the police phone # and that we we trying to contact some one that know the family

Great work OF. I did read that they have searched with dogs in and around the area. Also, LE has seize the computers of both the suspect and Kaitlin. She was apparently in contact via cellphone thursday around 3:00 p when she got home from school and  her last activity onn her computer was 3:06......

Someone said this Lewis guys wife was over at Kaitlins house the day before and now has disappeared since.  It seems very odd and strange to me. ORENJESTAD – The Aruban minister Ramon Lee of labour, Culture, and Sport (MEP) will not be indicted for rape, announced the Public Prosecutor (OM) close to noon.  
It appears that the alleged victim had already dropped the charges in a letter dated December 20th.  She did this, because she wants peace and quiet for herself and for her family.  On November 11th, she reported that she was forced to have intercourse with the minister in her home.  She says that dropping the charges doesn’t mean that she denies that it happened; neither will the OM stop the investigations.  The Justice department can still decide to prosecute, unless there is sufficient convincing evidence.  This is not the case here, said the OM.
Lee was interrogates twice as a suspect and admitted that he had intercourse with her, but that it was consensual.

Well, isn't that special?  So the raping minister of the government gets to go on his merry way to spread his joy yet another day.  Why am I not surprised?  What a ridiculous decision.  I guess I don't understand their system.

Hi Rob,  nice job last nite.  I am heartbroken about this missing child, Kaitlyn.  I can't seem to find anything NEW about searches, etc.

Since someone brought up TIME, I just wanted to mention something; maybe klaas can advise us.

Through some Congressional thingie, Daylight Savings Time has been extended as of this year. It will go into effect weekend of March 11 and remain until November 4. I've heard MS will have a service patch to "fix" our computer clocks and Outlook Calendars etc., but I think you have to go out there and fetch it.

Most computers up until the last year or so are programmed to do the time change on the first FULL weekend of April and the last FULL weekend of October. (Full weekend - Saturday & Sunday in the same month.)

msmarple - thanks for the reminder on that.  Let me see what I can find about the patch.

BRADDOCK -- Right now police are searching for a missing 1-year-old girl from Braddock.

Allegheny County Emergency Dispatchers report the toddler is African American and was last seen wearing a maroon, yellow and blue sweater, plus a pair of pampers.

She did not have any shoes, or socks on, but may have a blue electric blanket.

The girl was last spotted on 1st Street in Braddock this (Saturday) morning.

I have pretty strong feelings about it, but admit that there's never been even the tiniest appeal or attraction for me, so I may be biased.
For some, porn seems to be a gateway to addiction that requires more and more quantity and distance from healthy attitudes about sex. I think that because men are generally more "visual" by nature, porn addiction is more common among men. All kinds of studies show that women are initially physically attracted by all kinds of stimuli, including emotional responses to expressions of emotions. Men seem to acquire that toward a particular woman with time, but are far more stimulated by visual impact.

With the underlay of violence, pain, and dominance that is pervasive on available  internet porn, etc, sexual fantasy gets twisted. For some, twisted to the point that "love" based sex just isn't able to satisfy. It can be a serious descent into depravity for some people. Just as most of us can have a drink without becoming an alcoholic, most folks would just stop before porn became dominate in their thinking. But there are lots of folks who simply should never delve into it.

It flies in the face of the freedoms that we all hold dear, but I honestly think that there are many ruined lives and victims of the porn industry. I could go on about this all day, but will leave it at that.

Rob, I have personal experience that even when neighborhoods are "not so good", you and I know that the neighbors there ban together and help, except in being witnesses to gangs when they are afraid for thier own survival and rightly so.

IBE- This area is particularly bad. I hope that this case is a parent of family member that has the child and is hold the child to keep the child from some type of danger that person may have observed in the home.

It is about 8 degrees outside right now and no one can last long in these conditions without being in a home that is heated. Braddock has alotta boarded up homes and was the original area where most of the steel workers lived at the turn of the 20th century.

Lots of gang activity there and shootings all the time.

Hi monkeys.... we are just coming in from searching to get warmed up for a bit and then off to search another area that hasn't been searched yet..

I took the TES number to Kaitlin's mom and she called this morning and she was told that they will be here at 8:30 tomorrow morning... not sure where the other time came in, but does not matter... they are on the way and hopefully can help us find our baby.....everyone is very happy that they are on the way, this is a living nightmare....

Thanks to all my monkey friends who have prayed and thanks to Old Fart , the sheriffs office has ok'd for everyone to search today and is trying to keep track of who went into what woods so that no one else comes up missing....

Rob, if you are here the reason for no Amber Alert is KK did not fit the criteria... someone has to see the actual persons in the car before you can put out an amber alert....

I pray that Tim and his crew can find Kaitlin .... I will keep you all informed...

I have the answer to that one.... she went to the home of her minister , she is devastated to find out about her husbands past, I have learned even more criminal activity that is suspiciously not on his record......
she is also feeling sick with guilt that she brought this into KK's life...

However, I was told that when he came up to the house the night Kaitlin went missing with his face all scratched that she tried to brush the blood off of his face and asked him if he had gotten into a fight.... she denies this, but neighbors saw him and I believe them...

Amazing. Just because they got to her doesnt' mean he shouldn't be indicted and asked to step down from his position! That place is a living Hell!

Klaas, there will probably be coverage tonight on WBRZ .... they were talking with Kaitlins mom when I left there, she is sending out a plea to area businesses...it seems that last night a rumor was going around that her body had been found and alot of the flyers were taken down...

Oh, yes, you are right to not let him search. That could/would traumatize him for the rest of his life. I also understand his desire to help, though, but as his Mom, you are right in being concerned about his emotional well being.

I feel like Kaitlins little body may have been in his truck when he went to his friends house and asked him to be his alibi... the friend said that Lewis was standing by his truck with his door open talking to him and when the friend started to approach the truck he jumped in and slammed the door shut and started his truck up to leave in a hurry.....it hurts me to think this, but I feel that might be the case.... I also feel she may be found somewhere around the Head of Island area... he did not have alot of time in between when he left his friends and when he returned home and the blood was still wet on his face when he was there.....

The family stated that when he came home there were 3 or 4 people out in the yard,,, one of them his wife and he came over and asked what is going on? That is when she wiped his face off.. he then walked away after he heard that Kaitlin was missing and went into his house and never came out the whole evening to see if he could be of any help .... even though half of the neighborhood ended up out there....

Cat...heartbreaking, absolutely heartwrenching about that girl who was raped and killed by her father. No one listened...those 3 words just break my heart  :cry:

Mishy save up for an alarm system and have the alarms in the screens of windows you keep open and both screen doors and the doors.. if the window screen is cut or pulled out even a half inch the alarm goes off. You can carry things with you to trigger it if you are being followed or when the alarm company calls you have a code word that makes sense to the intruder but is a code to the company that you are in harms way, Also an alarm little thingie, like a small clicker, can be kept by the child's bed. This alarm sys. is not 100 % fail safe, but is a big deterrent, even if you fall or have a heart attack. (Of course, I don't have one now but had one for 16 years)

I like 4 legged dogs the best and a good husband. Remote control lighting is good inside and out... you can get the inside stuff to hook onto lamps from Radio Shack. You can always say "oh honey, I'll get the door or something like that" when there is no honey around.

Rob I have to go into inner city for meetings, but now were are having drivebys in good neighborhoods in daylight so the mayor is trying to crack down again on gangs... we have somewhere over 100000 ++ registered in LA not counting the surrounding cities who have their own gangs.

Our District volunteer area covers from Southgate on the east to Culver City on the west including Compton, INglewood, Watts, South Inner City... lots of square miles. All the individuals I volunteer with live in our District and are very good, hard working ladies. Some who have the money to live in richer areas just won't move and give the neighborhood to the hood anymore than it is! However, they do walk me to the car in the more Inner city areas.

There's a lot of hate here between groups and the gangs get initiation points if they kill or do really bad stuff. Some families have been in gangs here for generations. Our Legion Hall is rented out for the special 15 yr old birthday parites, weddings, aniversaries and after the funeral gatherings. Sometimes 1/2 the family will wear a "while hat" and the other part will be gang affliated, but are there for the family event.

The big fear is supposedly getting serious is that gang members have gone into the military lately and are coming out very well trained and using it back into the gangs and links to terriorism. Gads something else to be concerned with!

Sometimes I feel the need to move but don't know where, maybe am too old and like the warm weather... Falling in love would be another matter, tho.

But, a real wake up call for me was to go back home to Indiana after my mom died and go into a Walmart at night and see kids and adults drugged like we used to see on Venice Beach. And they wouldn't let me buy Sudafed there five years ago.

Maybe Dana Pretzer could do a show about this tonight or tomorrow night? Have Red on the show for updates, Red might be able to speak with Tim/TES and report what is going on? Just a suggestion, and maybe speak about the 14month old baby whose father committed such a horrid crime to his own child then his own confession tossed out. Maybe have someone on that is a child advocate or from missing and exploited to interview about all the children or females?

Hi monkeys!  I have been following this sad event since last night when I first read about it here.  I am literally sick to my stomach.  When is this going to end?  What is wrong with our lawmakers, not to mention our fellow human beings?  I have never been an advocate of vigilante justice, but, my God, somethings got to be done to stop these people who are hurting our children.  My heart and prayers go out to this little girls family.  If there is anything I can do, please, please, let me know.

I have been reading back and am so proud of all that the monkeys have done to help Cubbee and this dear little girl.  My prayers go out to her and all her family.  It just shows what can be done when people work together even though you are all many miles apart.  The internet can be a wonderful tool for good as well as the opposite.  It would be nice to know there was an Aussie monkey group to work the same way for missing persons etc.  

Jerry - we have had visiting Indian chiefs here and I have been to some of their ceremonies and it was a very spiritual experience.

Keep up the good work monkey friends.

I lit incense and a candle so that it can guide and light Kaitlins way home. I said a prayer as well.

I feel soon we will learn the truth from Lewis. He has no shame but only fear for himself. He's a scared little mouse who preys on the weak. God will take care of him. He is evil.

It has just been announced on Scared Monkeys from one of the bloggers being a friend of the one who is missing that another blogger and she have arranged via the family to have TES ( the Texas search group) to immediately come into the city to look for the missing girl. This was set up in a matter of an hour or so by those blogging on scaredmonkeys.net and we'd like you to know for your show.

They should be arriving about 4pm est in French Quarter, LA.

The man who is suspected had blood on his face that his wife wiped off, he had gone to friends and asked for an alibi for a 1/2 hour, was in a hurry to get into his truck and his wife is now at the ministers, not ever being aware of her husband's criminal past.

Lived in a trailer behind the girl and watched her grow into a young lady.

The terrible story unfolding on the Scared Monkeys.net blog starting about 5 pm last night, around page 5 or 6 and I think you would find it quite interesting to see how it evolved and is being update by a friend at the site. Good background material, but of course needs to be checked out.

Please cover this story on your program.

IBE- just thought Id share something kind of ironic about the gangs here.

We had the Crips and Bloods, but we also had a gang called the L.A.W.
Lincoln Avenue Wilkinsburg. They killed off both the Crips and the Bloods. I know that sounds hard to believe, but its true. The entire LAW gang is either in jail or dead. So the large gangs are not the problem as the killed each other off, but we do have alotta smaller gangs and just some plain ole stupid individuals that like to shoot people for no reason.

The LAW gang was headed by two brothers named Cabbagestalk.. (funny name huh)... these guys killed prolly about 50 people each themselves not to mention all the others in the LAW gang that killed on their orders.

Rob, are the local channels covering it? Is there a tip line? Is there a reward? What can we do to help you and to help her and her family?

Update me on the name of the city again and time she went missing, please.

Rob, how ironic, but it happens. The trouble they kill innocent ones who don't show the hand signs that they belong in a gang and kill younsters who are in the yard with the ones not in a gang

There are certain colors I don't wear at night,, that is why white t=shirts and black baggie pants are kind of in. (i don't wear that, but many of the Blacks, Latinos do here... can't tell what's in the pants) Public schools have turned to uniforms to the children so they won't be confused with different gangs.

I like for all of them to do each other in and what is left over send to war and have our military come home... let them feel someone else's tuff and a real baddie war.

Prayers for Kaitin and the poor baby girl missing from  Braddock. I am hoping it was a family member who took the baby and is taking care of her. An Amber alert was ussied over the lottery machine.. (yes lottery throws out Amber alerts. I made some copies of the info and posted them around the store. I do hope and pray the little baby is safe. As Rob said Braddock is a horrible place and Walkinsburg Area.  Sighhhhhh

IBE- Im not sure we can do anything to help just yet. The family's name has not been revealed other than the last name 'Page'. That could just be the name of the father, and Im not sure he even lives with them. Very little about the family dynamics have been revealed.

Right now the police are combing the area for the little girl in a two block radius, but have come up empty. Once they clear the family members, maybe we can do more.

I live in the city too- about 6 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, but the reason I signed up was in case they need me in a couple of hundred mile radius I ll be available for them.

Last summer we had a case where TES could have been used, unfortunately the girl was found raped and dead, and good police work got the person that killed her within about two or three days. She was found buried on the property where the guy worked along with her ATV.

Angie- FOX (National) did a Amber Alert on her while you were at work. I thought it was gonna be Kaitlin, and was surprised it was the lil girl here.

My heart is so heavy for the families of Kaitlyn and MiAngel.  They must be so numb with fear.  I do hope they have a strong faith in the God of their choosing.

Have any funds been set up for either family? Are Beth and Dave aware of these 2 families? Even a phone call from Beth or Dave might be comforting to the family.

I feel like jumping in the truck and driving to LA to help search.  I feel helpless.  I can only imagine how the families feel.  I will keep them in my prayers.  And would be glad to send some money if a fund is set up.

Famiy is beside themself.. they have a command post in Braddok.. POLICE given up on the nieghborhood search.. shes shares a bedroom with her 6 yr old brother.. he woke up at 7:30 am and brother told the parents she wasnt there.
  Parents questioned. NO forced entry..  dont know if she may have walked away.   4 adults in the house.. mom and dad and granda and grandmas BF and cousin being quetioned..  They arnt considred supsects.. just beeding more info from them.

ok.. four people cleared. 3 still being considered. grandmothers boyfriend, father, and a nephew.

NONE are considered suspects now.

Police have set up a command center on 2nd avenue.

All abandoned homes in a 2 miles radius have been cleared.

Police are very serious about finding this girl right now, not later. All that can be done is being done.

Prayers for the baby and her family :(  I hope she is ok and didnt wonder off.. it was bitter cold in our area last night/this morning.

When I got my alarm system, the ppl here asked if I wanted to pay for it in one lump or on monthlies. I paid for it in one, but the 20.00 a month for the service is quite reasonable. Even if it's just for peace of mind, it is worth it.

I've been listening to the news but haven't heard anything about Kaitlin.  This is so very sad.  Cubbee, you and your friends will be in our prayers, as you know.  I'm feeling like I want to cry and I wasn't even around last night to read and be involved in this.  So very very sad.

ST. AMANT — Livingston Parish sheriff’s investigators searching for a 13-year-old French Settlement girl missing since Thursday afternoon arrived at a rural location in Ascension Parish Saturday evening to examine a dead body.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office located the body Saturday afternoon alongside New River Road about 100 yards off La. 936 in St. Amant, authorities said.

The Ascension Sheriff’s Office notified Livingston Parish investigators they had located the body, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Saturday afternoon.

As of 5 p.m. Saturday Livingston authorities declined to provide information on the body’s gender or race, but confirmed hey had sent sheriff’s investigators to Ascension Parish to check out the report.

Livingston deputies, French Settlement police, volunteers and other community members have been searching since Thursday evening for missing 13-year-old Kaitlin Aydell of French Settlement.

Aydell disappeared after getting off a school bus Thursday afternoon at her residence in French Settlement.

Livingston deputies arrested Mark Sterling Lewis, 39, a relative by marriage of the missing girl, and booked him with obstruction of justice for giving false information to authorities who questioned him early Friday about the seventh-graders whereabouts.

Makes me think of that movie, Escape from NY or something where they put all the criminals in some walled city to fend for themselves.  I want to do that with people who prey on the small and weak, whether children, women, homeless or animals.  Put them in a walled city and let them eat each other.   :evil:

Me too.  And if there is a last one left standing shoot the creature.  They are sub-human.   Why are there so many of these crimes against children.
We are supposed to be here on Earth as caretakers for our children and the animals, and this is the way they get treated.  Go back to capital punishment and if the upholders of the law cannot carry out their duties properly prosecute them too.  They are no better than the criminals  IMO

Fox was just covering the Amish school tragedy and there were a couple of folks from the Amish Community on. Their attitude was that although they didn't understand the reasons, God allowed it to happen and that He had a purpose for doing so. They cited their faith as helping to ease the pain and insisted that some of the money they received be given to the family of the shooter.

Sometimes I think my faith is strong, but when I hear something like that, I'm not so sure.

Monks- if Tim Miller was here on the board right now, I bet he would say something like this-

The business of finding missing people is not easy, but we do it to help those in pain, so that one part of the pain may end.

With each person found a small measure of closure is afforded, but that alone does not ease all of the pain.

me speaking here- I would never be so precocious to try and speak for Tim Miller. But in the quest to help these people, we are going to feel this pain too. Any person with even a small sense of caring and decorum for their fellow man or woman naturally would.  

I think we all did the best we could. Only God could stop that monster and that was not part of God's plan this time.

Kaitlin and her family are part of God's Plan, just as Natalee and her Family are part of God's Plan. Just as each of you and your Families are part of God's Plan.

We helped a family in need and that made a difference.

Although the pain is terrible, rest assured, God took notice of the effort that everyone made and I'm sure God is holding Kaitlin tight and comforting her as only God can.

What a beautiful thing to do.  They probably understand that that family is also suffering the "loss" of one of their own and are feeling the pain that something in his life went so wrong that he would do such a horrible thing.   Probably some guilt that they did nothing to intervene and prevent this.  Compare this to the vds clan.......

It makes me sick, too.  This fall I had my first grandchild, a little girl, Sophia.  What kind of world will she grow up in?  It was never this bad when I was growing up.  If only something could be done.  I always remember my Dad saying they should take these monsters and drop them in one of the strip mining pits - feed them once a week with some bread and water - no clothes, no shelter. Just let them rot in there!  Think he had it about right.

Locking them up does not solve the problem. Something in them is broken beyond repair. Our lawmakers have got to make it a one strike & your out law. IMO get em out of the USA. Put em somewhere where they can't hurt anyone but themselves.

Part of the problem is lenient judges (who should be taken off the bench, imo) and the lack of death penalties in so many of the states.

Some people "just need killin" IMHO.
I am in favor of the death penalty in cases like this.

It's absolutely amazing how they were immediatley so forgiving and gracious regarding the tragedy that happened to their children...It's almost unfathomable. We sure need to take some lessons from them!

I have a mental picture inside of my mind from the prayer service marking the 30th day that Natalee was missing and I saw Beth and Dave in front of the HI.

It is this pain that drives me to help those that need help. I know you all feel the same way.

Are they sure it's her? I fell asleep finally... the last few pages.

I am not so certain that these incidents are a relatively new phenomenom. For one thing, I don't think there's much new under the sun (as in Ecclesiastes).

For another, I've read theories from several sources that suggest that the terrible stories passed down throughout history, variously attributed to werewolves, vampires, other boogeymen born by superstition, and still others borne by prejudice (gypsies, and yes, the Jews), etc. - more likely were these same kinds of predators at work. And the predators KNEW who or what would be blamed - often making SURE of it.
 
Just something to think about.

This may be a terrible thing to say but I personally would like to see the death penalty in all cases of sexual abuse. Not just the ones who are murdered.

We all know they can't be rehabbed. It is always a matter of time before they reoffend. So this would save a few victims. Plus not allow the type of thing like BT posted last night of the jerk who murdered his own baby.

Or maybe if judges are going to be so lenient they could have the jerks move in with them. JMHO
