hi klass and my monkey friends: sorry i havnt been able to stay and chat alot and just do run bys.  My aunt is in hospice and is near the end.  I have been lurking when I can when she sleeps. Please say a prayer for her that she may end the suffering and go with peace and tranquility. Ill try signing on whenever i can but it may be choppy and at odd hours for me.  Happy Birhtday to all our July monkeys and God Bless. I try to read back and catch up thats why i sometimes awnser questions very later on.

Hello, how's everybody this evening? I'm woefully behind in reading  the threads as I've been having connectivity problems and have been very busy with my dogs lately.  I love our discussions here with nobody from the dark side trashing ya for your POV or errors.  :D

I am not an overly "gushy" person or one to wear my religion on a sleeve, but I am truly struck by how special this forum is. So many people that read and post here have some very trying personal situations and/or health problems with themselves or loved ones. This forum is dedicated to Natalee and her family -- but I truly believe God has sent many people here to find comfort from people who do truly care about humanity.

Wreck, it is a special place and we really have some fantastic people here and I think we all care about each other.  We have all been through a lot together and comfort one another.

Do you think Natalee's spirt and Dave's faith and Beth's love have anything to do with that?  Somehow I think so.

Wreck, I am glad to be among people who care about and pray for others too. If you participated in one of our prayer chains, you know how great that was. I think we need to have another one soon. Maybe it will help heal some of the wounds of late...

Heya Klaasend.  I'm doing well.  You?  I'm just reading about the Renfro statement and BFN.  People are saying that Debbie engaged in fraud, but I doubt very seriously that she altered a document.  It's funny that the same ones who were quick to rush to Julia's defense are the ones who are so quick to condemn when the shoe is on the other foot.  Irrespective of which version is closer to the accurate Dutch statement, they both say that Jug was mad because Julia was paid to either repress information or propogandize.  That is troubling, but not surprising.

Had trouble editing that last post, so if you understood it..great....if not...technical difficulties, beyond my control...thanks, though for reading...

If I count correctly tomorrow or Tuesday will be 60 days.... Guess we will see if the interpretations were correct.  

I have always believed that the simple answer is the most likely... in this case, possibly an accidental overdose resulting from drugging and rape.  However, the more I read, the more convoluted the case becomes.  I know we are getting SOME misinformation purposely.  But for what reasons?  

The longer this drags out, it just adds fuel to the argument that there is something REALLY negative to hide..... more that three pimps and a sweaty father.... even more than corrupt polis and politicians.

I'd be willing to bet that Debbie received the document that way. I'm sure she did not alter anything.  I'm also sure she believed that it was accurate.  Red and I discovered it was not accurate yesterday and notified the family.

Yes, the whole point of the argument that led to JR filing the statement was Jug accusing her of getting paid to say certain things to the media.

And I'll add to that, whether she's getting paid or not to push a certain point of view, her agenda is crystal clear and it really bugs me that JDVS supporters dont  just acknowledge the elephant in the room.  She does nothing to help the Island with that attitude and blame Twitty/blame America stance.  As long as that goes on, tourism will suffer.  I think it was the Vanity Fair piece that said her newsletter is the outpost for all things Anti-Twitty.  That says it.

I've been thinking about why Aruba continues to stand behind the vd Sloots and cover up this crime. It has to be more than tourism at stake, b/c we know that tourism has taken at least a 15% hit and will probably continue to decline.  It has to be more than just friendships and loyalty to Paulus.  It seems that there are some dirty little secrets that some are willing to go to great lengths to keep from being revealed.  We know that money laundering, drugs & prostitution goes on in Aruba and is not considered all that terrible except that it is illegal here in the US (mostly).  It has to be the child porn & incest that they are desperate to keep hidden at all costs.  Why else would so many people put themselves on the line for these 3 kids & Paulus?

I think Julia has her fingers in a big piece of that porn pie and that is why she is so rigorously defending J2K & ARuba.  She has a lot to lose.

Myself, I dont really think it goes that deep--child porn or anything like that--I think it began as favoritism gone wild, turning a blind eye to the judge's son, etc.  and now they can't get themselves out of it--they've spent some much time and money protesting that everything is on the up and up and by the book, they are hoping to just ride it out.  I could be wrong.

Thirdstrike - as it turns out the JR Statement that was posted at BFN turned out to be an inaccurate translation.  The corrected translation of the sentance in question is here below.  There were also some other parts left out but nothing to do with whether JR was paid or not.

In the beginning, I was very skeptical of all the "conspiracy" theories, but the longer this goes on, the more you have to wonder why.  Like you said, they should have given up J2K, even PVDS, months ago, if that was all they were hiding.  There has to be something bigger and more damaging to tourism than rape/murder by locals.

I also think back to Beth's statements.  She has,  NEVER that I know of, stated that Joran killed Natalee... only that the three "KNOW WHAT THEY DID WITH HER".  That leaves room for them passing her off to others.  While the human trafficking is not something I believed in the beginning, I wonder now if there were others involved, and J2K were the delivery boys.

When one looks at the fact that Suriname is on the watchdog list for human traffickers, and the Netherlands surveys its own problems with it, it kind of makes one wonder. It would have been the perfect weekend for it.  Holiday weekend, with many extra boats on the water due to the Soul Beach festival.  J2K were the errand boys & Paulus giving the approval on selection.  Maybe the boys thought they could make some extra money with a video before they turned her over to the buyer.  But that's where things went awry.

I can only read in short spurts, and am careful about the threads I go to.  They are WAY too vile over there for me.  

You know they all worship at her feet over there...  I saw a post where a new poster asked them to cite a "credible source", and the response was "Glenda is our credible source".   :roll:

Good question, why is she all over these forums as well? Have we seen any other bonafide reporters insert themselves into this case on a daily basis all over the internet? How vested is she in the backstory of this case? I think very vested and perhaps with much to hide.

Protecting her...interests...would be my guess.

I would think the people with the biggest investment in this case would be Natalee's family, and I have not ever seen them on the internet trying to control the story.

11:00 pm: Natalee and friends arrive at CnCs  (Cain, Watson 302s)

12:15-12:30 am: Joran arrives at CnCs, sees Natalee standing on the dance floor, she shouts at him to come dance with her and he declines (Joran's Greta interview)

Madison Whatley sees Joran while standing on platform looking for friends, does not see Natalee with him. Madison and Ruth McVay leave CnCs, Ruth goes back inside to tell Natalee they are leaving (Whatley 302)  

12:30-12:45 am: Laraine Watson is standing at the bar with Bruce Rawls and Allie Anderson. Natalee tries to get Ali to come meet a couple of guys she has met, Allie declines, Natalee walks away toward the dance floor. Only two or three more songs play before CnCs closes (Watson 302)  

Deepak sees Natalee call to Joran, she looks “pretty drunk” from the way she is dancing, she walks swaying up to Joran and Deepak hears them talking about dancing. Deepak speaks to a friend for 5-10 minutes, then can't find Satish and Joran so he goes outside to wait in the car (Deepak June 9 statement).

Natalee again asks Joran to dance, he declines, Natalee leads him to second bar on left side of CnCs, asks him to do jello shot off her, as bar is closing she asks him to buy her drink, he buys her a shot of Bicardi 151, she agrees to leave with him to see his house, she goes to speak to some of her friends and returns (Joran's Greta interview).  

12:55 am: Laraine is standing and chatting with Natalee, sees her go to the dance floor to dance (Watson affidavit).  Possible this is same incident described in Watson 302.

1:00 am: Joran and Natalee leave CnCs, walk with Satish to where Deepak is waiting in the car behind CnCs (Joran's Greta interview)

1:00 am: Laraine and Bruce leave CnCs (Watson 302)

1:00 am: Barbara Blackburn leaves CnCs and goes to Choose a Name bar (Watson 302)

1:00 am: Haley Uncapher leaves CnCs and walks to Choose a Name, does not see Natalee as she is walking (Uncapher 302).

Alana Jordan goes back inside CnCs with female friend looking for stragglers, find one male MB kid sitting in the bar. The three leave to look for stragglers at another bar. Outside they encounter Natalee as she is walking with Joran, a short distance behind another MB group that is going to catch taxis back to the HI. Natalee points to the other group and says she is going with them, Alana's group parts with Natalee.  

Male MB kid sees Natalee go back inside bar, emerge 15-20 minutes later with Deepak holding her by the arm, walk with him down the alley to rear parking.  

Joran, Satish, and Natalee get in car behind CnCs, Natalee gets in behind Deepak. Joran tells Deepak to “drive around”. They pass CnCs twice, then instead of passing CnCs a third time, turn left toward Choose a Name when they see polis car at the corner. As they are “crawling” in traffic Natalee shouts something to a group of MB kids. One of them shouts at her to get out of the car, Deepak stops the car, Natalee tells Deepak she wants to stay with them, Deepak drives on (Deepak June 9 statement)

Just remember, this has not been proven, but was rumor reported via that informant:

-This informant then put this researcher for Dave in direct contact with a teenage (15 year old) Dutch female from the International School, who related she went to “sex parties” hosted by Lorenzo both in his house in Orangestead and outside of the city at another house. She is the first Dutch female to be located and willing to talk, but there are concerns that her parents may not allow her to come forward – they are still working on a strategy around this. Attempts are being made with Dave’s input, to build a strategy where her identity is protected by having her speak with the FBI first, then cycle out to the ALE and to the parents.

•She attended these parties with other Aruban females ranging in age from 13 and above. All were filmed at various times, Freddie was also supposedly part of these parties too. These THREE girls all described having seen a video of Natalee, with an “old man” on top of her with a mask on. Further discussions with the girls have revealed that the scenario employed that involved Natalee, is that these girls are part of the human trafficking that is very prevalent radiating out of Surinam. They are used in sex parties with Arubans first, filmed often in those, then kept drugged and moved from island to island – never allowing them time enough to make connections or to know exactly where they are. One of the casino owners is also suspected to be in front of this supplying various “resorts” that serve as the staging areas for the sex parties on each of these islands.

•Of course much of this hinges upon this young Dutch female in terms of coming to fruition, but currently all of this research is being funneled to Dr Phil’s PI’s to work toward. There are also statements from these girls and this informant, that Natalee was alive when Beth and Jug arrived on the island.

So where or where is Interpol?

If you are referring to the JR fiasco -- yes, it was REALLY unfortunate. HOWEVER, it in no way exonerates Julia Renfro. She may have very well been paid for her "statements" to the Police and/or the TV press.

I think you are misunderstanding Red (correct me if I'm wrong.) Red was saying that the "translation" was in error and falsified. I don't think Red is claiming that JR was NOT being paid. He is saying only that the actual statement cannot be used to verify she was actually paid.

Hey, I have to tell you...I took a look over at the RU site...haven't been there before.  Anyway, reading through some of the posts, and saw some familiar names.  Now, knowing remember these people as having the same views as us here and posting those views previously (on this site), doesn't that tell you something about them now?  What I mean to say is this...It's VERY obvious their motives now are out of spite, not truth.  They don't really believe what they say...they only belive it's opposite of what they feel.  They can call Dave Holloway derogatory names all they wish, but these are the same people who had his back before banishment.  These are nothing more then hypocrites.  And, I don't know about you, but as far as I'm concerned, hypocrites are the hardest ones to respect...period!!

JR STATEMENT - SEQUENCE OF EVENTS
 
1.  On July 14, 2006 at 10:26am PST Debbie at BFN posted a statement Julia Renfro made to the police.  That statement implied that Julia Renfro had been paid to make the statement to ALE.
 
2.  That same day, Dana Pretzer did his radio show to discuss this statement.
 
3.  It just so happens, that Red was was out of town and was not aware that a Statement had been posted.  In fact, Red didn't know Dana did his show Friday night on it and didn't find out about the Statement until Saturday afternoon.
 
4.  On July 15, 2006 Red became aware of the statement.  After reading the statement he felt the statement regarding JR getting paid seemed odd.
 
5.  On July 15, 2006 at 7:04pm PST Red emailed me the statement in Dutch and I offered to try and translate it.
 
6.  On July 15, 2006 I spent a couple hours working through different translators making absolutely certain that the last statement regarding JR getting paid was incorrectly translated.
 
7.  On July 15, 2006 at approx 9:30pm PST I informed Red that the statement posted at BFN was incorrect and the last sentance in particular was completely wrong.
 
8.  On July 15, 2006 at approx 9:30pm PST Red notified the family that there was a problem with the statement.  At 10:26pm PST I emailed the completely retranslated statement to Red.  At 10:26pm PST I created the correction document posted at SM which was then forwarded to the family.
 
9.  On the evening of July 15, 2006 the family requested that Red hold off posting the correction until they did more research.  The family was to call Red back with the OK to post the correction.
 
10.  On July 16, 2006 at 5:24pm PST Debbie at BFN posted the corrected statement translated by Rammstein.
 
Red had notified the family 20 hours prior to Debbie posting the correction.  Red would have posted the correction 20 hours sooner but was waiting for the OK from the family.


THE SAD PART ABOUT THIS ENTIRE EPISODE IS THAT THE STATEMENT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SOLVING THE CASE.  IT HAS BECOME A DISTRACTION.

I was leery about that part of the statement to begin with. We know that ALE has some Keystone Kops, but it would really be stupid to document accepting a payment.

Busy Monday but noted the post Klaas brought over which 'Edward' posted, originally a post by 'Opus' regarding the young Aruban girls at the Lorenzo parties with the video of the old man in the mask.

I first heard of this group of young females last fall, when one of the family's PI's had uncovered this, and spoken direct to one of the girls who was the only Dutch victim. They attempted to have her come forward at that time, but her parents feared retribution so they could not convince them.

That being said, it was also my understanding that those parties during which the video in question was viewed, occurred last summer at Lorenzo's house. Freddy was never mentioned to me, but that doesn't mean he wasn't a participant, just that I did not hear this at that time.

As for the trafficking ring, I have somewhere in my notes and I posted it several times late last fall, the exact track of island to island that ring travels. The girls are moved <often heavily drugged> from each point to the next, and a concerted effort made to keep them off-balance so they can't escape. The ring ends in Mexico City, which is why Dr Phil sent Skeeter there to attempt to uncover any trace of Natalee that may have existed.

I'll look for that list again, if I find it, I'll post it.

Who really cares if she called his name or not. Regarding the Renfro statement I have posted this at my podcast page.
It has been there for a day and today I will remove the audio.
For clarification it has now been determined that the document alledging Julia Renfro was paid for giving a statement was not translated properly,any indication that the document was authentic and spoken about during the show is not correct. However many many questions still need to be answered.
My apologies for any confusion.

Mistakes can happen but clarification must be done by those who post such articles.

The site that initially posted the mistranslation did not do so until Sunday. They claim they are the ones that did it themselves? The same people who made the initial mistake in allowing the incorrect translation to go out, also corrected it on their own and where never tippied off by Red & Klasend. That is believable ,,, not.

I have one question. Why were Red & Klasend told to hold off posting and not BFN? What's up with that? Hardly seems right.

I believe everyone who follows this case and has come to know Tom & Red and Klasend can figure this one out for what it is.

I read your message the other night and am pleased to see you back again. I have no idea where the statement came from that was provided to BFN, but I have to almost wonder if someone didn't deliberately provide them with misinformation to discredit them in some way. I guess that is just the paranoid part of me talking, but crazy things by crazy people are known to happen. Take that fake email from BFN poster Harrison Ford that leads to a porn site for example...

Human errors are common and I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially when they are seeking justice for the same reasons we are.

That being said, I do agree that if they received the info from SM that it was an erroneous translation, then a notation with the correction on their site would be in order.

I'd love for you to have Tim Miller on the show....the amount of time that Tim has devoted to trying to find Natalee is mind boggling....especially with his own health issues.....he went through a LOT of CRAP in Aruba....he may or may not tell all :wink: ...but I can assure you TES did none of the things they have been accused of doing....not the wild drinking parties while they were 'supposed' to be searching....another of renfro's ahem..statements :wink: and they did not disturb the turtle nests.....they made themselves sick digging in the landfill as did our own RED, they put  their lives on hold and went to aruba to try to help....and were sideswiped  at nearly ever corner....Tim would be an amazing guest for you to have on the show.  He is truly an amazing man.

I went there this morning, very, very early right after the statement was posted by MIP6 and there was a huge amount of lurkers.

Mishy - what I'm saying is that the corrected version that Debbie posted at BFN was translated by a trusted Dutch poster friend of hers.  The corrected version now posted at BFN appears to be fine.

DANA, I would like to also say thank you for all the shows you have done on this case.  That porno email is so typical of the detritus everybody has had to cope with if they are in support of finding the truth about what happened to Natalee.

I would so love to have you interview the woman that quit working on the case because ALE refused to get that interrogation of Koen.  Her name is Ms. Flanagan, she was an assistant prosecutor at that time I believe.  She is the one that met with Dave.

Bottom line here is, I think we have to be very careful about making sure whatever is posted (in any "official" form anyway) is filtered for authenticity before making it's way to the collective.  I'm sure every step was taken (by this site at least) to ensure this was the case.  But, to be fair, if we are critical of others' accuracy in reporting things regarding this case, we should definetely expect the same critiques in return...

Mishy, are you the one that got into the mailbox at BFN by mistake?  I am wondering how this "Harrison Ford" even knew I had registered at BFN as I have not posted there.  Certainly have never made my email public.  I don't even use PM so am trying to figure out if BFN has a major hacker breach.

CRAZYBABYBORG, about virus on BFN e-mail.  Unfortunately there are hackers who work for all sites.  Some people who once posted here have gotten their sports cars while others are still awaiting them.

Some posters are very good at data-mining and have so little compassion in them, that they allow the evil to arise and will stab someone in the back in order to be the center of attention, even if it meant defaming the websites dedicated to helping the family of Natalee.

As an editor myself who spends half of her day verifying info, it is crucial, especially when there are rats out there who are trying to mislead and distract...Hmmmm, this isn't the first time false info has been put out there to distract  :wink:

Bartender Name

Many of the webshot albums previously posted here include photos of tourists w/ bartenders and waiters.

I believe the Bailey Ann webshot album includes pictures of one or two C&C bartenders.  And they wear nametags.

No guarantee of course these are people who were on duty nite of 5/29 - 5/30.  But as Bailey Anne event took place in March, 2005, it's more than likely the bartender(s) pictured know who was.

Maybe someone can post that link for us... (klaas, thanks for posting map yesterday).

No, Appeals. I remember reading this weekend that someone had gotten into a BFN mailbox, maybe a PM mailbox for sensible (who I had never heard of before then...), but I don't remember who it was. Maybe Klaas can do a search?

That is very curious Appeals...Have you spoken to BFN about the fact that you've never posted and didn't make your email public and still got the HFord email? That's frightening!!!

Unfortunately BFN has bought into some of the people who have nothing to do with integrity and desire to bring Natalee home, or to get justice for the family.  Those people will tell you they can prove to you where they got things.  Ask them for the information and what happens to you is they have your computer information then and they hack into your computer, many others and mislead people.  BFN was used just like SM was and some of these same people are still revered by many at both sites.  It's amazing.  I am out of here forever.

I want to thank Red, Mrs Red, Tom & Klaas for all they do but I see the games that are being played by some former posters and some who still occasionally post here, and it is very difficult to watch what they are doing.  SM has stayed above the fray and for that, I am very thankful for the integrity of this site.

I have made many friends here, who have allowed me to come into your homes, and you have been in my heart and prayers, and it is amazing how many people are trying to use this family who wants nothing but justice for their daughter and yet the users are able to capitalize on the situation while making the family look bad.

SM has done a great job. I wish that I could continue here but it is hard to separate the wheat from the chaffe, and I wish not to continue but wish Beth, Jug and Dave the very best in the future.  I will always read Red's front page whether it is about Natalee or about politics.  

I will always remember each of you, but the time has come to loose myself of this and let the chips fall when the truth emerges.

Re: Bartender's names at C&C's:  I remember as I searched through many websites for pictures, etc. I noticed that the bartenders have huge nametags and many captions name the person (Oswald was one).  I guess there is a lot of interaction between patrons and the bar staff.

Yes but I'm not positive that Oswald was a CnC bartender.  He may have been Iguana Joes as it appears they went to Iguana's that night prior to CnC based on the clothes they are wearing.

This is exactly what these people want... If they disrupt the pro-family sites, scare away good, knowledgable posters with tech invasions, then they have free reign to spread their lies over the internet with noone to question or dispute them.

I got one of those PMs from BFN this a.m. also.  I have ZERO posts over there, just registered to read.  Also, my email is "hidden" in my profile.  I STILL received the porn on my home email as well as the PN.  While I am somewhat concerned that someone might have my personal information, I will continue to come to SM, and post my thoughts... as few and far between as they are.... as support for the family....until they get some answers and resolution.  

As for the porn email, will just have to hope that my computer security is suffficient.  So far it has been.

Some psoters have forgotten that this is about Natalee and have now made it about them......it was easy to do when news was slow.....there are, on the whole, a wonderful group of people here.....but some have now taken SM to a whole new level....there personal social club...I have made some very good friends here too.....and we share our PERSONAL lives in emails....not on SM for everyone to see....do I have problems..you bet your life I do...do I care to share them with the world NO WAY.  We have threads where people can share just about anything including pictures of their hobbies, their animals, themselves.....but this thread is not the place for it....this is the Natalee thread..many do not have the time to go through pages and pages of non Natalee related personal psots to get to anything about Natalee....so they leave and go someplace where the Natalee thread is really the Natalee....pictures relating to Natalee I have no problem with....specially the pointed ones...like the witch :wink: ...I got to the point I couldn't look at the trash bag photos without tear streaming down my face....I realize those photos are at times important...but I remember the days when the picture wasn't copied time after time after time....in post after post after post.....

This is not the tread to talk about the color of urine, your sex life or lack of it, your hard day at work or how awful your children are....we have the lounge for that...as well as for prayers and sharing recipies and just about anything that is morally acceptable....why can't we keep the Natalee thread about Natalee???....I am not saying we can't have some humor in it...or say hello to other psoters........we need that...because this is a difficult thread for all of us...but especailly the family WHO READ HERE....

I think during the times that news is slowing (to a halt it seems nowadays), it's actually a benefit to engage in O/T chater.  Why?  Well, it's simple actually.  If we are to use this thread for only news worthy, case relevant postings only...and there is no such items to post...wouldn't that mean the threads would simply die out?  Now, if there's no one here to discuss things with, where's the benefit in keeping the case in the public's eye?

Look, I see the many points made here regarding "on-topic" vs "off-topic" discussions.  But, at the end of the day, relationships formed (IMO) by way of humanized "chat" is worth more then robotic information transfers via postings on a blog site. If that makes me wrong, then...as a great R&B crooner once said..." don't want to be right"...

It's quite amazing that this forum has been so alive for so long -- about 14 months now. Most days you can log on and find that the most recent comment was made no more than three minutes earlier. It's only in recent months that the conversation has gone down overnight -- and even now it only goes silent for four or five hours.

If it takes a little chit chat to keep it so alive, so be it. I personally could do without the cat pictures  :roll: but I just scroll past them.

One thing's for sure: when anyone comes on here and brings up a point about the case, the whole board focuses instantly.

We'll know when it's over. It isn't over yet.

I care deeply about Natalee's disappearance and her family but I also now care about many of the monkeys that I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the last year.  If it were not for the off topic conversations I would never have felt these connections or the need to come and check in once in a while.  I do not have the time or resources to contribute as much as others and when I do it is often off topic.  I guess maybe those posts bother some people so I apologize...

My biggest motivation is seeing this case solved for the family's sake.  I think the competition between boards is really silly and childish and while I will admit reading on other sites from time to time this is the only one I will post on because of the quality of people who choose to post here.  I hope my off topic posts don't rub people the wrong way!

Regarding the email "circulating" from BFN, even though my name is mentioned, I did not receive the email. I tried to register over there because I wanted to read but because of a computer glitch, I couldn't. A few weeks ago, Debbie emailed me and had the problem worked out and I was registered. I went over there ONE time, read for five minutes and left. I didn't post there. This is the only place I post. And how in the world did I get on that porn email list?

I find Debbie to be a VERY FINE person and very helpful.

Yes, my email address is hidden. There was a notice that I had one new message and I opened it and there was the Asian man. I don't believe I caught a virus from opening the message on the BFN site. In any event, I have my "protection" software set up to alert me immediately and halt all Internet traffic when a virus appears.

I'm never going back there again.

I wasn't around this weekend but it seems the original statement was translated incorrectly and later corrected.  I think there was some problems because it was updated on another blog before this one because Red was waiting for the OK from the family.
I could be wrong and Klaas can probably update you better than I.

I agree with the above viewpoints. I know FOR SURE when any new fact regarding the case comes to light, Scared Monkeys goes immediately into analysis and research mode and there is very little chit chat. Even on slow days, I've seen people go back to the case and start to review the facts again. I don't see any harm in chit chat under those circumstances, especially if it keeps the chain from breaking.  

I love you Monkeys and I don't want anyone to leave.

I did NOT receive an email. When I went to BFN to make sure my email address was hidden, I saw that there was a message for me at BFN. I clicked on it and then got the Asian man. No email came to my inbox.

At BFN anyone can register.  It appears someone registered and sent that bogus PM and email out to as many people as he could.  The other thing at BFN is you can delete your own account.  So you can register, send a bunch of emails and PM's and delete your account so you never existed.

She's a straight shooter...I like her too.

Louise:  I got both but saw the PM at BFN first.  I deleted the PM.

I am doing well and thanks for asking.  I had a wonderful two week vacation in Alaska and I am just struggling through returning to work!

I really hope there is a break in this case soon!

Believe it or not, I had never heard of making payments. My mother was an accountant and pounded over and over into my head that you don't buy something you cannot afford to pay cash for. If she knew all the payments and interest I'm making now, she would turn over in her grave.  

Anyway, the husband said "We are moving to Norway." He had plenty of relatives there who would help him find a job. So we packed up stuff and shipped it to Norway, which took about three months to arrive there. On the way to Norway, we stopped in London, Paris, and Germany to visit my father, who used to be in the Army but at that time was retired and working for the Stars and Stripes newspaper. My father did not like my husband and he gave me several hundred dollars cash to buy a warm coat when I got to Norway.

Meanwhile, my husband financially defaulted on two things. One - he bought a car and his father was the co-signer so the father was stuck with the debt and he never spoke to my husband again. The other default was the monthly payments for the great books.

It turned out that my husband could not get a job in Norway. When the steamer trunks arrived by ship and we had to turn around and send them back. We had no income. My mother was so mad that she wanted to send an airline ticket home for me only and leave my husband stranded in Norway. But she didn't want to break up the marriage so she sent two tickets.

Meanwhile, my father sent me a telegram in Norway saying that Interpol was looking for my husband regarding his defaulting on the payment of the great books. I was astonished that Interpol could trace him to my father's house in Germany. He was a "nobody" - just a young guy from Monrovia, SoCal.

So, where is Interpol in the Natalee Holloway case?  Does Interpol still exist? Does anyone know?

OT//Yes, it was a scorcher, and tomrrow is supposed to be worse.  My DH called and said the thermometer in his work vehicle read 102 degrees around Noon.

Very wierd - overcast and it looks like it may rain.  Had thunder and lightening last night.  It's in the 70's so much cooler than yesterday.

Having said that, it could have been from one of those " new " members over at BFN. I have a Yahoo account that I use sometimes. I felt I had to do that. You could delete all your stuff from BFN, get HotMail, Gmail or Yahoo and then it doesn't come into your regular email.

I hear ya, but I'm not sure when that came into play.  It seems as though the family was first ignored, then tokens were thrown to the lions and finally the primary suspects were taken in to custody.  When the cover-up began is a little hazy, if we consider the statements by Van der Stratten and Dompig in those early days.  It would almost seem as though some outside force intervened after the boys were questioned.
