Hi all, ::HelloKitty::

I wanted to let  you all know that I wont be on line for a few days. I have to take computer in and get it worked on. It's gotten so bad. I will have withdrawls but better now I guess. I only got to read a few letters. They are all sicker than I thought. Everybody stay cool and prayers that all goes well for you Trimm.

Hi ya' 4donks  ::HelloKitty::  My sil has donkeys.  She adopted "Rosebud" through a rescue program, and not long after realized she got a bonus and little "Lucky" was born.  He was soooo cute!  The donks protect the livestock from coyotes and other predators.

All 4 donks are recues and are now great big pets. Hobbs is a mamouth (the size of a horse)

 ::MonkeyDance:: I saw the little hispanic maintenance guy when I was walking Josef and he asked if anyone check my ac I told him no, he came upstairs, turned it off went down looked at it and said it had been over charged with freon and that's why it hasn't worked every summer since the put the new one in. Good God, I have asked every summer and they did nothing to even look at it. This one guy fixed it in 10 minutes. I was so happy I gave him a ML.  ::MonkeyCheer4:: It was very sweet of him to ask because evidently the guy I talked to yesterday didn't do a d*mn thing when he said he would do it.  ::MonkeyMad::

I have a picture of Obama talking on the telephone in the oval office.  He is sitting in his chair and sort of leaning over with his feet turned out and the caption is that this is during a conference call discussing education.  The only problem is that he is holding the receiver upside-down.  He is talking into the earpiece, because the cord is coming out of the part he is holding to his ear, which is the mouthpiece.

I saved it in "My Pictures."  I have tried and tried to post it, but I'm just no good at this.  I wish I could because nobody seems to have picked up on this.

I also saw a picture of Michelle Antoinette in Spain, with a new short hairdo, which actually looks good.  She went on Air Force Two with 40 of her closest friends.  They are now up to half the hotel at $2500 per night each per room.
I don't have 40 close friends.  But then, I'm not queen.

I just got back from the store.Digger got out in the woods this morning with Hubby,and after a few minutes hubby comes running in and says he thinks Digger has been snake bit.  ::MonkeyShocked:: I almost never goth the little chit to be still so I could check him out.After my assessment it was determined to be multiple stings and a brush with an old barbed wired fence sticking up out of the ground.I know these little patch of woods quite well.
I had to run and get some more Benadryl.After having a complete melt down in the store,I get back home and the little chit has darn near torn the dog gate loose.   ::MonkeyJnBox:: I think he is gonna be fine.
This trip required the purchase of 2 boxes of zingers.   ::MonkeyTongue::

It does help doing yard work, but I'm running out of things to do.   Okay, so now I gave advice to my daughter, and in the email I told her, listen to me, and do it. So I told her, humor him, encourage him, kiss his butt and lie, that is what he wants. He has 8 more months over there, it is quite obvious from the emails she has shared with me, that the poor kid isn't taking all this well and is snapping. I'm glad to hear that also, my daughter, just like me, we have a hard time kissing someone's butt and playing games. But under these circumstances there was nothing else she could do, if she doesn't want to lose him.

Thanks. He went under the knife so to speak, 2 hours and 20 minutes ago. He was to call me when he got out to the parking lot. He has not called yet. Poor baby.

I bought stuff to serve him soft foods such as chicken breast (shredded) in a sauce with mashed garlic potatoes or noodles, scrambled eggs, pancakes, yogurt, soft grilled cheese sammiches, meatloaf, cream soups, bananas, applesauce and pudding.  That should get him through a few days. Gotta serve it all not too hot or too cold. He is having gum surgery. Ewwww.

He should call soon.

Heading home to Wisconsin to attend 2 funerals tomorrow one at 10 and one at 2 and to think they are both affiliated with the same church.  I originally thought the funeral for my friend who died of Prostate Cancer would be Sunday but instead it is Saturday.  I am hoping we get to town in time for both wakes tonight and then back to the farm for some R&R with my family.  I will see you Monkeys later, prolly Sunday.  They are forecasting hot and very humid weather on Sunday and all next week so I will more than likely get home and plop down in my chair.

We are having a terrible storm here with high winds, rain, hail, thunder and lightning. I didn't sedate Jazz because they didn't think it was going to be over us. Jazz is a rescue and was chained out in a field without shelter for his first years and gets terrified. He has now realized he cannot fit in my lap with Furby so he is laying on my feet and I am trapped.

What a cutie Jazz is. Poor guy must be terrified of storms.  I am glad he has found you. I can understand being trapped with 150 lbs sitting on your feet. But it's a good thing he doesn't fit in your lap. We would have to send out the rescue squad.  Stay safe with the storm.

Alan needs to be a paramedic. He's a cinch to pass the tests, in some areas it pays well, and it'll feed his need for speed. He could probably bypass much of the EMT training (pre requisite for paramedic classes) and then they could live in some really cool places.

Why? Is she a victim? Victims now get a say at sentencing time.

Alan needs to have a plan for "after", and you did just the right thing and gave just the right advice. He needs to know there will be a life for him when he gets home, and having a plan will give him something to concentrate on. That will be a big help.

Hi Trimm. Thanks I have a muscle relaxer, but don't want to take it unless I have to. I hope you don't lose power. Our storm is strange, coming from the southeast. Usually they come from the west and I swear it just dropped 10 degrees walking up the stairs. Yes glad the AC is working. That little guy was a God send!  ::MonkeyAngel::

Snake's skeer me and I cannot even comprehend Trimm and Digger. I pray to god that Digger is okay. I have seen some Rattler's in my day, here in Michigan years ago. One was Huge as in long ..3feet long. Hiding in the cornfield next to my Granpa's property..it blended in, after the harvest. Everything was beige/dirt mixed, he/she was not seen, yet heard and then it moved towards my brother .. Oh Snap, I am glad at that time, I was about 9 yrs old .. because kids have instincts, more so than a grown adult - possibly a adult would run yelling OH Bejebus SNAKE.  My Brother was poking around in the cornfield " along came a snake" ..he was totally freaked out of his mind. We both agreed within seconds for " Him" not to move. The snake was about 5 feet from him ..his/her tail clicking/rattling.. Holy smokes. I slowly walked backwards and than ran like no other ..grabbed my Granpa and said " Snake, Mike Snake and I think its a Rattle Snake " .. My Granpa was like WHAT? Rattlesnake? He grabbed his high powered pellet gun ( he had many guns).. And he walked up to my brother, who was Ten yrs old, he was frozen .. and my Granpa shot the snake - right between the eyes. The pellet lodged itself - didn't damage the snake's head, but it was dead. Then my Granpa took the snake and put inside a glass jar. A commercial glass jar that held ring bologna. 5 gallon jar. The snake "just fit" inside. Never had he seen a Rattle Snake that size on his property.. my Granpa at the time had 7 Beagles hounds .. and I know if that Rattle Snake had gotten to one of his Beagles..he would not be able to forgive himself- so he had to kill it. My Brother of course was reason enough.. yet my Brother could have gotten away without being hurt. My Granpa chose to kill it.  Dogs and poisonous Snakes not a good mix..

Because I have a feeling that your problems are not over within your ac unit.  So I hope he gave you something to show the Apt manager/owner that you had work done.  Just thinking out loud.

We unfortunately have had many " honor killings" in Metro Detroit due to the high population of Arabic people. Girls who have had their life's taken by their Fathers - its sick. Very Sick. 
If not their own Father it is a cousin or relative " always a male" taking the life a young female.

Hi Deenie--I saw your post about Detroit and honor killing.  I believe Dearborn is a suburb of Detroit.  The Muslims have taken over large areas there and if an American woman doesn't wear a burqa, she is harrassed, so many Americans just wear them to avoid trouble.  Personally, I would die first and it might come to that.

A couple of weeks ago two Christians were arrested in Dearborn for talking about Christianity to some Muslims at a Muslim festival.  They were on a public sidewalk. They said they were just talking to those who came up to them, but they were arrested in complete disregard of the First Amendment.  As they were taken away, there were shouts of "Allah Akbar."  I have emailed the Mayor and Chief of Police there to remind them that Dearborn is part of the USA and subject to the Constitution, but oddly, they haven't replied.

JSM I was watching the program about that barbarian beast Yassir Said, but I got a telephone call  near the end.  As far as I could tell, there is no new news about it, but I might have missed it.  I had heard about that case but didn't know the details except that the so-called father had killed the two teenaged girls.  There were more details that I didn't know, such as their mother was an American who had married this monster when she was 16.  He was twice as old.  She said that he had raped the girls when they were very young--8 or 9.  Well, their prophet married one of his wives when she was six.  He waited until she was nine to consummate the marriage.  In TN we put people in jail with a mandatory sentence of 25 years for child rape. 

We also have the death penalty and he would face that here, as I know he would there in Texas if he is ever caught.  Probably in Egypt with his son, Islam by now. 

TRIM  I hope Digger is OK.  I get so worried when something is wrong with my Charlie, so I know how you felt.

A few nights ago I had a box of doughnut holes on the table.  It didn't occur to me that he would get up on a chair and pull the box of doughnut holes on the floor.  When I caught him, he had them open and all over the floor, but as far as I could tell, he had only eaten one.  It worried me because he has diabetes, but he's OK. Didn't hurt him.

The vet told me a couple of days ago that Charlie has early cataracts.  I'm going to take him to UT Vet School to have them removed, but they won't do it until they are more developed.  Apparently this happens with dogs with diabetes, because my yorkie, Tuppence, had diabetes too and became blind.  Hope we can fix Charlie before that happens.

I can't explain why my dogs get diabetes.  It does run in my family, but Charlie isn't really a blood relation.

Charlie is just a street mutt which someone threw out by the side of the road in Crossville.  I thought if I get a mixed mutt he wouldn't  have so many health problems as a full blooded breed of some kind.  I was wrong.

BB What got me was they said the police and FBI didn't want to upset the muslin community. WTH to go looking for him. WARNING: American-centric rant ahead.

First, MAJOR PROPS to those of you who have served, are serving, or have friends and family serving the interests of our country, WHEREVER YOU ARE (Alan, NoRose and daughter, that's for you).

Second, I should be writing one of the last two critical research papers that will finish my degree, so I'm in a writing mood, but today THIS is what I care about.

Third, get out your history books.

I am just against the seemingly senseless death of people as anyone else. I also resent the media implying that our best and bravest are nothing more than cannon fodder in an un-winnable war. I get downright furious with some of the decisions our (hacking up a furball here) Commander in Chief(lazyass dumbass) makes, and don't even get me started on our ROE (Rules of Engagement- that means our soldiers have very specific rules under which they are ALLOWED to fire their weapons, that's if they're even allowed to carry their weapons).

The following video reminds me why we're fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. It reminds me that more people were killed, on US soil, on September 11, 2001, than were killed at Pearl Harbor. It reminds me that we are fighting the enemy on their home soil so WE WON'T HAVE TO FIGHT THEM HERE!

Here on the homefront, we have to fight the political fight. We have to listen to New York's mayor (who someone described as "not just an old lady, but an old lady's underwear drawer!" LOL!) say "Yeah, sure, let them build a mosque at the Twin Towers site...no biggie." All this while we still have no buildings or memorials filling that hole on Manhattan island that the Islams (hey, I get points for capitalizing their name, and not being more descriptive or creative with their name) put there. Whenever I see a photo of Manhattan's skyline before and after, I think after the Towers came down, the city has a gap-toothed smile...it's two front teeth are missing.

But back to the war, and the history books. We fought WWII not to save Britain's castles, or France's wine industry, or China's government. Heck, we didn't even fight it to prop up Russisa...sometimes you have to get in bed with the devil (and we knew we were with the Ruskies) to kill the enemy. We fought the war because we did not want to speak German or Japanese here in America. We fought it "over there" to keep us here at home safe.

We are fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq (and secretly I hope in Pakistan as well...but we'll never know until we see Osama Bin Laden's head on a pike) so that 9/11 never happens again. THAT  is why we are still there.

I think at this point, we've all pretty much given up on the whole "winning the hearts and minds" part of the war. I hope now the commanders are just concentrating on taking out as many bad guys as possible before that azz-wipe in the White House makes everyone come home. That dork will play it as a victory, he'll try and win *our* hearts and minds by saying "Look, all your boys and girls are home now, safe. Look at me, what a great job I did. I brought them home." What he won't say it "Oh, crap, there's still bad guys out there, hell, they're here in America and I did nothing to prevent another 9/11. Oh well, let them eat cake!"

So, turn up the speakers and get your Kleenex out. Then watch this video. (this song is NOT on my iPod, for the rest of my life, whenever I hear this song, I'll see this video and cry...alot...I only allow myself to watch it about once every year). And then remember: THIS IS WHY WE HAVE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN FIGHTING ALL OVER THE WORLD (we sleep soundly at night knowing there are rough men ready to do harm to those that would harm us- that's a very chopped up version of something George Orwell supposedly said). re: Tommy Croslin...just my opinion...I think that the 15 yrs was way too much for pushing dope to people who are willing to use it and buy it...Child molesters and manslaughter/murderers don't always get that stiff of a sentence...Drug dealers take up too much space in our jails and then they let the worst out cause the jails/prisons are over crowded...Makes no sense to me...course if we executed some of the prisoners who are on death row, that would provide more room too....<<<especially execute the child molesters/murderers...

I'm so glad you sicked the lawyers on your land problems. Up here a few years ago, they started in with the GPS and property lines. The uproar has died down, I think most people and judges decided to ignore the GPS findings, and if they had to, they resorted to the "adverse possession" rule to just keep everything the same. POWER OUTAGE
At my recent assault trial, I offered a plea of "Guilty with an
explanation." The judge asked me what my explanation was, so I told my
story.

"Your Honour," I said, "I had a mammogram appointment, which I actually
kept. I was met with: 'Hi! I'm Belinda!' This perky clipboard carrier
smiled from ear to ear, tilted her head to one side and crooned, 'All I
need you to do is step into this room right here, strip to the waist, then
slip on this gown. Everything clear?' I'm thinking, 'Belinda, try decaf.
This ain't rocket science.' Belinda skipped away to prepare the chamber of
horrors. With the right side finished, Belinda flipped me (literally) to
the left and said, 'Hmmmm. Can you stand on your tippy toes and lean in a
tad so we can get everything?' 'Fine', I answered. I was freezing,
bruised, and out of air, so why not use the remaining circulation in my
legs and neck and finish me off? My body was in a holding pattern that
defied gravity (with my other breast wedged between those two 4" pieces of
square glass) when we heard, then felt a zap!

Complete darkness and the power went off! 'Oh, maintenance is working. Bet
they hit a snag.' Belinda said, and headed for the door. 'Excuse me!
You're not leaving me in this vise alone are you?' I shouted. Belinda kept
going and said, 'Oh, you fussy puppy...the door's wide open so you'll have
the emergency hall lights. I'll be right back.' Before I could shout
'NOOOO!' she disappeared. And that's exactly how Bubba and Earl,
maintenance men Extraordinaire, found me ... Half-naked with part of me
dangling from the Jaws of Life, and the other part smashed between glass!
After exchanging a polite 'Hi, how's it going' type greeting, Bubba (or
possibly Earl) asked, to my utter disbelief, if I knew the power was off.
Trying to disguise my hysteria, I replied with as much calmness as
possible 'Uh, yes, yes I did thanks.' 'You bet, take care' Bubba replied
and waved good-bye as though I'd been standing in the line at the grocery
store.

Two hours later, Belinda breezes in wearing a sheepish grin. Making no
attempt to suppress her amusement, she said, 'Oh I am sooo sorry!' The
power came back on and I totally forgot about you! And silly me, I went to
lunch. Are we upset?'

And that, Your Honour, is exactly how her head ended up between the
clamps...."

The judge could hardly contain her laughter as she said 'Case Dismissed!!'.

I went to look up how many eggs a bearded dragon lays and this is the answer 
Depends on the type of lizard. Bearded Dragons for example can lay up to 30+ eggs at each clutch where a gecko only lays a couple    ::MonkeyEek::  So Joan could have around 30 eggs. Now the question is, who is the father, is Don, or is it one of the other male lizards who are sharing a giant cage?  ::MonkeyEek::

Well, it took me a while to cut out the gecko and then dress him in surgeon cap and stethescope. Then to put him on a background and title it.

Yeah No Rose, when it is really dark, all you can see are their beady eyes at night. That is one reason I never open my blinds or curtains (besides the heat) because it is really spooky when you see them. They like glow in the dark.

Good morning JSM, poor Josef, I think he and I have the same problem, woke at midnight with terrible acid and vomited acid, I don't do that  ::MonkeyEek::  It is probably the heat that is getting Josef  ::MonkeyAngel::

  ::MonkeyAngel:: No Rose, I hope you are feeling better this morning. I think the heat is what is getting to Josef. He seems fine now. Gave him his pepcid so hopefully that calmed it down a bit.

That is good to hear. I'm figuring it was stress that caught up for me, I didn't eat that much yesterday, nor anything different.

I'm sorry No Rose, it is probably stress. You need to eat something besides croissants and zingers. Maybe that will help.

::MonkeyEek::  Now if you start giving me a cigarette lecture I'm really going to be mad  ::MonkeyHaHa::  I normally eat little meals, if I eat a big meal the IBS goes nuts. So I will eat a zinger for breakfast and last night all that sounded good was a croissant. I know that I should be eating more fruits and vegetables but they don't agree well with my stomach.

Thanks Green Eyes, I'm even wondering if I picked up a stomach flu bug? It seems better, but don't want to irritate my stomach today, so won't eat much.  My daughter just got an email from Alan, he just passed the FMF, Fleet Marine Force test, I had to look this all up, since I didn't have a clue, but from what I've been reading it appears to be a big deal. So I'm very happy for him  ::MonkeyAngel::

How is everyone else doing this day? rainy here..gotta leave soon for the other house while this one has the open house...glad that we have someplace to go when there are showings or open houses..otherwise we end up driving around cause we have the dog with us..he doesn't like being in the car too much so it just works out that we have the other place...except for the bills ..lol..

I can imagine, and it still is that way, the box we sent he still hasn't gotten, and he only has received one of the many letters she has sent him. I did take some pepto bismal again  ::MonkeyTongue:: maybe later I will feel like eating something.

The neighbors old mobile home is still sitting in their yard,I can not count the times they have tried to move.It is very entertaining,but I am so tired of hearing machines and the other neighbor is blasting his stereo to try and drowned out the noise.   ::MonkeyEek::
