Also, A's we drove past their house,we saw a lot of woods with a lot of debris..No trespassing signs posted ...no memorial for Caylee at all.  Is this the location that Caylee was found? It is near a grade school and at a dead end..I think it  was a grade school...maybe a middle school

If you drive down Suburban with the Anthony house on the right, the next corner to the right should be where the road leads to the school & the site where Caylee's remains were found

Brandi, tks for the pic of the cars in the garage which confirms my memory...its almost hard to believe that by the time we get to the heart of the trial it will have been 3 years since Caylee's murder.

For some time there was alot of speculation that the anthony's weren't living in that house anymore. I am now of the mind that they are there and have alway's been there. I have a question for you all! there seems to be mixed feeling on what Judge Perry will do or not do to baez. I know some say that he may not want to jeopordize the case. I want to know? what about the state! they are so diligent in their persuit of justice! professionel and do not deserve this. I think Mason is leading baez because only he being a long standing lawyer! can know what clown bozo can and canno't get away with. He after did say this was going to be fun! His sick arse is fueling and encouraging bozo to continue to fight the court by his behaviour. It is so annoying to the state to have this on them constantly. I can almost assure you that the state has never had a lawyer act in this manner! and that also goes for the honorable judge.  In his arrogance baez has defied any authority! is he trying to make a name as a hardass or is he just that stupid? I am more convinced that he will be disbarred sooner or later! without any doubt!!!

Hi Cookie--There used to be a cross there.  That Lois person put it up and it kept disappearing.  Then one night she staked out the cross and George and Cindy came by.  George was driving, Cindy jumped out and grabbed the cross and threw it in the SUV and that's the night Lois claimed they chased her at a high speed.  She also claimed that fat guy from Kidfinders put a blue light on his car and joined the chase.  She said that there was an LE car parked nearby and she complained and the cop said, "Haven't the Anthonys been through enough?"  I don't know why the Anthonys are untouchable.  IMO they have committed a number of crimes which should be prosecuted, but by the time Casey's trial is over the statute of limitations will have run out.  I don't think they will ever be prosecuted for anything.  IMO they need to be prosecuted just for the space they take up.

I don't know WHY the defense needed a judge to compel the witnesses to show up.

This was filed right before the depositions & I am guessing it was because the defense had scheduled them twice before and the ORNL scientists were tired of showing up and BOZO not being there. I bet they told Bozo that they would not show up again without a court order since Bozo would show and wouldn't give notice.

What a great idea there Babybear - I just happen to have a daughter in her 20s who is a model for a major clothing line. The car rental companies are always trying to give me a convertible when we fly into Sanford - so we may just take that baby next time and "make a little trip." She could let me out on the corner so I could video tape it all. She is quite a character (funny) anyway so she would LOVE the plan.  LOL

I have not been impressed with his legal analysis from the beginning. We have more often been right than he has throughout this case. I count him in a lot of ways as another Anthony apologist. He has defended Bozo when his actions were indefensible. I won't read him at all anymore.

I will back up on one thing here. A GOOD LAW FIRM could run a hundred of them in 30 minutes as good  law firms have companies which do those for them daily almost. Bozo's office most likely could not run them in 30 years if left to their own devices.  LOL

You're talkin' GOOD law firm, right?  Hornsby talks nonsense.  A prosecutor can't hold anyone in contempt.  He can, however, ask the judge to do so as Mr. Ashton has done. And while I have no personal stake in it, I hope Judge Perry throws the book at Baez.  He deserves it.  It appears to me that since Baez doesn't have a clue what to do to defend Casey, he tries to distract with nonsensical motions.  He doesn't distract.  He only calls attention to his lack of knowledge of the law.  IMO, of course.

Check out the sentencing and penalty phase mitigating factors. This is a woman and she received the death penalty. I believe the fact that a child was involved played on the jury's mind in deciding the sentence. It could happen to KC and mitigating factors don't always matter.

Bozo claims he did not understand the judges order which was due on the 17th? 

Did he file a motion, asking for clarification, before the 17th?  Did he do anything before the 17th???????? 

So, I guess my question is, if his order had a deadline of the 17th, why is he now saying he and Jar were confused (which is not hard for me to believe at all, being they are dweebs and all, but I think in this case, he is just lying), and not saying he was confused before the 17th????????????????????????????


I love JA and the SA side.  I think however, and I may be wrong, pushing for sanctions may sway the judge in another direction, maybe JA should just drop the sanctions wording (although I would love to see more sanctions) and file the motion about not complying with the judges order and let the judge decide if he wants to sanction Bozo et al.  Didn't Bozo file a motion for sanctions once before at the SA for leaking info or something like that??

May 9th is almost here folks.  I am getting so excited.  I can taste it.

By the way, when I lived in Florida, one of the things I hated was all the old geezers (I am an old geezer by the way) that are outside mowing their lawns on their riding mowers with their shirts off.  I was just not brought up that way. All my boys keep their shirts on, except when swimming.  I grew up with brothers who kept their shirts on.  My hubby, no matter how hot it is outside, and no matter what he is doing outside, he keeps his shirt on.  It is just not something I do or believe in.  It is gross. What if all us women went shirtless outside on hot summer days.  Imagine that.........

Glad to read that Cookie made the drive by of the Anthony house.  I plan to do the same next week. However, if George is hosing down his driveway, I will have to remind him we are in a drought and there is no reason to use that water to hose down a driveway. When I was at Caylee's resting place, it was so sad to think of her being dumped out there so close to home...Remember when Casey Ho said that she felt that Caylee was close...yeah, she felt that cause she had put her there.  The foliage is quite thick...lots of debris there too. Garbage and old tires.

I spoke with a nice young lady yesterday who is a local...General consensus seems to be that Casey is guilty but the fear is that she will definitely get an appeal because Bozo is so incompetent and she will win an appeal that way...parents are in denial...George is pizzed that Casey said that he and Lee had tried to molest her...that is why he is no longer showing up at court...all the scuttle bug here...

This is really good-couldn't agree more.  It's shocking & galling to watch The Jar & Baez mock the Court and all of those who respect the Law.  What on earth can either one be thinking?  Do they just like danger?  Surely retaining a law license is worth more than the "gotcha, gotcha, gotcha-catch me if you can" behavior they have been exhibiting.  The arrogance is disgusting.

 Mom and I went to the court house today to look around..spoke with a photographer who worked for a tv station..he told us to go to the 23 rd. Floor for the hearing next Wednesday. We looked inside courthouse where u enter and start going through security..I spoke with a gal who works in the building..she said that Bozo and the Anthony's used to come in the front but now they  go in through the back because of all the media

There is a chance I will be down there for the trial, preferably for when Cindy has to perjure herself and/or the verdict.   Hubby is giving me a bit of grief that he would prefer I not travel out of state alone due to a few chronic health issues Ive had to deal with but Im trying to convince him its not all that serious of a concern...to me its no different than if he's at work & this Jersey raised girl is stuck in a town in Mississippi that you cant get to anything without your car.   I'd love to meet up with ya Cookie & whoever might be down there, fingers crossed.

I too think that George won't make it through the trial if he attends. Personally, I think Casey's going to struggle as well. The question is......   will she break down because her fate will finally come into focus or has she so ignored what she's done to Caylee that the forced reality will sucker punch her? I tend to think that Casey is devoid of empathy and gets emotional only about herself.

I think Cindy will handle it better than all of them unless she decides that breaking down would look good on camera.

Jeff Ashton filed a motion on February 20th asking the court to hold Jose Baez in contempt of its orders…once again.  Jose has missed another deadline.  This deadline had to do with submitting the exact points of contention concerning any issues the defense team is requesting a Frye hearing on.  That deadline was February 17th.

In cases around the nation, investigators and prosecutors are increasingly using information from social media sites as evidence. Earlier this month, a Florida judge ruled entries from Casey Anthony’s MySpace page would be allowed to be submitted as evidence in her trial for charges of first-degree murder. Messages sent to Anthony by her mother via the social-networking site were also admitted. Anthony is on trial for murder in the 2008 disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony.
Social media sites have also been used to identify and track down suspects, serve court documents and even provide alibis in criminal investigations.

A group targeted by an order from Chief Judge Belvin Perry is now taking its own legal action.

The Fully Informed Jury Association, commonly called FIJA, has retained the American Civil Liberties Union and Walters Law Group, of Altamonte Springs.

FIJA volunteers would stand outside the Orange County Courthouse and hand pamphlets about being a juror to people coming and going.

But Perry signed an order in early February that banned this activity and any information pertaining to jurors from the Courthouse complex.

Now, FIJA is fighting back. Volunteers have been handing out the information at other places not banned in the order.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Local 6 investigative reporter Tony Pipitone will offer an exclusive report Thursday on newly uncovered information in the Casey Anthony murder case.

Pipitone is still poring over the information, which centers on what is being said and done behind closed doors in the case against Anthony, and will offer his full report at 11 p.m. Thursday.

Pipitone said the information goes to the heart of Anthony's upcoming murder trial, including questions being raised by lawyers in the case. The information reveals what testimony both sides will have at their disposal when the trial begins in May.

"We have some information that hasn't become public about what both sides in the case are asking when they’re questioning witnesses," Pipitone said.

Pipitone's report will reveal details about the events of December 2008 and the discovery of skeletonized remains later found to be Caylee Anthony.

Wow.  I hope it is as profound as Mr. Pipitone purports it to be! 

This is beyond stupid. I know I might offend some of you, I don't intend to, but I believe the ACLU is anti-American and responsible for a the disappearance of many traditional American values and customs.  Not to mention harming our culture.

There are a number of candidates I would suspect to be behind this.  Round up the usual suspects.  But to be handing out these flyers in Orlando when the jury is not to be from Orlando has the mark of a particularly idiotic member of the bar or maybe a suspect's mother,or maybe both.

Wouldnt shock me but Ive looked at some materials & CJBP has valid issues as to why he banned the material & it is my humble opinion that it most likely will be held up.   The first issue is the possibility of messages and the like being able to be passed to potential jurors within these pamphlets on any given case.   The second & most crucial is the content of the pamphlet has some misrepresentations in it.

Even Senior Judicial Analyst, Judge Napolitano weighed in on this issue criticizing CJBP but I personally feel that he was short in his total review as I've seen him do with other issues in recent years.   Its not like he isnt well educated, he graduated from Princeton and then Notre Dame University Law School later to serve as the youngest appointed NJ Superior Court Judge for several years.  While he's never been what one would consider conservative & does have some far off from center political views, I dont know what happened to Judge Napolitano along the way but when I witnessed him in court on many occasion back in the day in NJ he was fair, stern & a colorful presence on the bench.   

Highly doubtful, the writing has already been on th wall as to what both sides would potentially asking witnesses, well at least to me it has.

There is no doubt in my mind that any tactic the defense or the Anthonys can use to get Casey out of what is virtually a slam dunk guilty verdict, they will.

Without risking going too off topic, I think several organizations in this country are working separately & in unison to breakdown the values & customs this country's very foundation was built on.  Our overall moral structure is diminished by it, the safety & rights of decent law abiding citizens have been put at risk because of it.   It is becoming glaringly obvious that there is a presence amongst us that would rather stand for criminals & their rights over protecting victims.   OMG, I could go on and on but I dont want to get the screaming cat or red letter warning....but in essence I totally agree & then some!

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- CORRECTION: A spokesperson from the Florida Bar Association says a grievance filed against attorney Jose Baez does not concern misrepresenting facts to the judge in the case against Casey Anthony. Channel 9 had reported the case did concern misrepresentig facts to the judge. The spokesperson said the grievance against Baez dealt with “ethics or misrepresentation.” The spokesperson also confirmed Baez had been informed of the complaint filed against him. The Bar refused to say who had filed the complaint.

For the second time, Casey Anthony's lead defense attorney, Jose Baez, is being accused of lying in court to a judge. This time, however, it's dealing with the tax money paying for Casey's defense.

This is what the jury will not be able to dismiss:  “Again, based on 20 years of being a medical examiner, based on seeing many, many drownings, it’s the circumstances of death that are most disturbing in this case,” Garavaglia said. “I have never seen a drowning, nor do I see reason why a drowning (victim) would have duct tape on the lower half of the face. I would say that is evidence itself that there’s no indication that this child would drown and there’s no reason why a child that’s drowned is put in a plastic bag and dumped on the side of the road.”

I completely agree.  Accidental drowning victims do not end up in black plastic bags in swamps with duct tape across their faces.  Why is that concept so hard for these Bozo's to get?  Even if it was an accidental death, and she freaked and dumped the body, why the duct tape????????????????????????????????  There is no explanation possible for the duct tape.

A hearing this morning in the Casey Anthony case will deal with defense motions for state payments of certain costs related to the case.

The hearing is scheduled in front of Chief Judge Belvin Perry at 8:45 a.m.

The defense motions request approval of an hourly rate or costs for video conferencing and costs for a mental-health expert to assist in "exploring mitigating factors" in case Casey Anthony is convicted and faces a possible death sentence.

Casey Anthony, 24, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie in 2008. The child's remains were found in a heavily wooded area off Suburban Drive in late 2008 months after the child was reported missing.

Anthony's trial is scheduled for May. She faces the death penalty if convicted. ::snipping2::

ORLANDO, Fla. -- It was Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, and Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia was late for her plane.
Then she got word that skeletal remains of a child had been found around the corner from the home of Casey Anthony, the young woman she knew had been indicted two months earlier in the death of Anthony’s missing 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

Caylee was missing no more.
But, Garavaglia told Local 6 Thursday, she could not change her plans.

When she returned to her office Saturday, Dec. 13, Garavaglia took over the case from a relatively new hire, Dr. Garry Utz. “I felt that Dr. Utz hadn’t been here that long and that I should go ahead and take it over,” she said.

So when Casey Anthony goes on trial in May, Dr. G. -- as she is known to viewers of a cable television series in which she stars -- will be the key witness who will tell jurors Caylee Anthony was the victim of homicide.

That’s just one of dozens of revelations uncovered by Local 6 in a review of hundreds of pages of depositions taken in the case of the State of Florida vs. Casey Anthony.

During a brief hearing, Perry approved $4,500 for mitigation-expert costs and videoconferencing for expert witnesses.

Anthony, 24, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie in 2008.

The child's remains were found in a heavily wooded area off Suburban Drive in late 2008 months after the child was reported missing.

Anthony's trial is scheduled for May. She faces the death penalty if convicted.

Also Friday, court officials revealed several details about the trial at a hearing for the media.

Court officials said that while there will be public seating available at the trial, there will be a ticketing process. Details on the ticketing process were not released.

Officials also said that if Anthony is found guilty, Perry does not intend to take a long break before a penalty phase, if there is a break at all.

Anthony was not present at Friday's hearing.

The case heads back to court on March 2 for a status hearing. WESH.com will stream the hearing live.

Perry said Friday he would hear two motions to strike at the hearing from the prosecution regarding two pieces of evidence -- chloroform and root growth around the area where Caylee Anthony's remains were discovered in December 2008.

Jury selection for the trial is scheduled to begin May 9.

Judge Belvin Perry said video conferencing would be a cheaper alternative to flying in experts to testify and approved an hourly rate averaging of $100 to $200 per hour.

Perry also granted an additional $4,500 for a mental-health expert to conduct additional interviews with family members. Anthony's defense attorney, Jose Baez, said the defense is near its $2,500 cap and needed more money.

The funds will be used to explore "mitigating factors" if Anthony is convicted and faces a possible death sentence.

Ashton made it clear to CJBP that the FBI is not being obstructive, they were just served a week ago.   Mason attempted to make it sound like they are refusing to be cooperative.   CJBP said if he cant make rulings he might have to suppress statements.

As I see it, the entire defense will be doing a whole lot of "ugly coping."

Watched a good bit of the hearing on Insessions & there was an interesting exchange regarding Slyvia Hernandez.   She is a PO in Groveland now & supposedly an officer told the defense's PI to get out of town...but the State also mentioned that this was not the first time the defense had contact with her as there was an earlier exchange where the PI went to this woman's house & said a few choice things to her much early.    O to be a fly on the wall!

Not sure I'm buying all the Sylvia Hernandez smackdown talk by Baez and co. Methinks he doth protest too much. :twisted:

Well, I suppose it is possible that during the RK deposition, RK was shown the crime scene photos and he may have said something looked different. Cm may have set this up with the Medical Examiner simply by making her state exactly where the duct tape was located when she saw it. I am not sure that she was at the crime scene when the remains were collected.
Keep in mind that when Cm was finished deposing DR G, he said to the media that She Gave Us A Gem.
Keep in mind that the defense said on 48 hours that they were going to dispute the location of the duct tape.


But the fact remains that the duct tape was there, still attached to the hair mat and kept the mandible in place.

A hearing early today produced news in the Casey Anthony case, but the big headline came late in the day and more big headlines could be coming tonight.

“Judge Belvin Perry calling Jose Baez on the carpet again,” WESH-Channel 2 anchor Martha Sugalski said sternly.

At a hearing next Wednesday, Perry wants Baez to explain why he shouldn’t be held in contempt of court. Perry issued the order late this afternoon.

I thought the same thing when I heard that!  At least the defense is going after something that MAY be plausible.  However, like the other atty. said, other evidence at the scene will have to show staging as well.  I don't think that will be the case at all.  But at least the defense is showing a little common sense for a change.  I wonder how tacky the adhesive still was on the tape? If still fairly tacky, I don't see the tape moving much at all. moo

I just finished watching the video and I agree. 

One thing bothers me, in the beginning of the video, Mason says there were 13 unidentified fingerprints at the crime scene. My notes say there 15 unidentified latent prints. 13 or 15, it doesn't matter.  (I'm paraphrasing)  Then a minute or so later in his delivery he specifically says there were 15 prints. 

Closing arguments based on lies....this is what we will see all during the trial, every aspect of it.

Hi Curly!  I agree whole heartedly. Neither Mason or Baez are likable and neither is KC. The bullishness of Mason, the cockiness of Baez and the haughty, heartless attitude of KC, as well as her preening and grooming herself are going to have a negative effect on the jury. I expect to see some 'poke my eyes' kind of tears from KC, but for the most part, I fully expect the same attitude we have seen from her these past 2 years in the court room in May. And that will not go over well with a jury. This dream team is, in fact, one big nightmare group of egomaniacs.  JMO

The only statutory mitigator to which he assigned great weight was Carr's lack of criminal history. He gave other such non-statutory mitigators — such as her disadvantaged upbringing, sexual abuse by her father and the alleged dominant role of her co-defendant in the crime — little to no weight.

I think we can make a difference by writing to In session and let them know how we feel about  casey town. we need to let them know this  is not acceptable.

Actually the FIJA is a great organization. We are big fans of them. Their goal is to inform the public about issues like jury nullification - which if you do not know is where the jury refuses to find people guilty of unconstitutional laws. This battle with JP is nothing new - it has been going on around the county for many years. The Scopes Monkey trial was one of the most famous cases where a jury has been asked to nullify. Now it is prohibited for anyone to give the jury or anyone that could be on the jury any information on nullification - even on public property like the sidewalk.

If CM does not understand the very clear directions in the Frye hearing motion and is confused even more than JB, I wonder if they need to set Mr. Mason up for some dementia testing.  It can be done on the QT, there is even a quick screen for it.  I wonder if this would be the first time they used an insanity plea for the defense attorney.  There may even be a good reason or treatable reason if he does not pass.  Some of the misunderstandings may be due to his not being able to hear what is being said correctly.  Accommodations can be made for him so he can more effectively communicate if he actively pursues them.  Since this was a written motion that was inked after the discussions, hearing would not be the issue.  I am not trying to condemn someone for a disability, just trying to ensure Caylee is the focus of the trial, not an issue that can be helped. 

If he wanted to give his clients a fair representation, he should be tested to find out what accommodations would be effective for his hearing and speech.  Clearly what he has is not working.  There are many other accommodations that can be made for him.  I hope, for his future clients' sakes and his, he seriously considers this.  I would hate to see a client who is innocent be locked up, taken from their family, or worse, because he was either too stubborn to research this further, or he doesn't think his clients are worth the effort (remember his rant about refusing to spend any time working outside of his nominal business hours written in stone (which in this world no longer exists for the majority of us).  After his rant, who would even consider him, why would anyone hire an attorney who a client means so little to?  What happens if the only way to prove someone's innocence is to work some weekends?  I have never worked a 9-5 M-F job in my life, no matter what my career was at the time, starting as a teenager, and have worked more than one full time job at a time, if necessary, so I may be missing some entitlement handed out when the Bar is passed, but I don’t think so. 

My impression of lawyers is they work many hours and days, including weekends and holidays if necessary to prepare for their client/case.  Even the attorney for my district takes two weeks off at a time for vacation and schedules accordingly.  She said she needs “one week to forget this place” and another week to enjoy her vacation.  We may sit at opposite sides of the table, but she is a hard worker and a darn good attorney and takes her job very seriously.  She has never acted like a buffoon or came to a hearing late or looked like she was a marshmallow stuffed into a pillow case with ruffles.  Her clothes are beautiful; she does not dress in a suit, but always looks well-healed, neatly groomed, and appropriate. 

I don't know what the DT is thinking.  If they think they are not being judged by their looks, they are deluding themselves.  There is evidence and data supporting the fact that appearances do matter.  At the very least the defense team, including the ones who have paraded through this case, could try to buy clothes in the right size and appropriate for court.  The same goes for their mouths.  The words coming out of their mouths should be spoken with confidence, not condescending and bellowed or murmured.  They are going to give jurors flash backs to that mean teacher/old boss/blowhard who always yelled about everything whether s/he had a reason or not. 

It is also inappropriate for them to be in designer suits if they plan on yelping about how much money the state has.  It does nothing for your case to stand there in designer clothes begging for money and crying about how much the prosecution has when the pros. are neat, clean, appropriate, and not overdressed with their paperwork done, while a member of the DT shows up in a designer suit, late, without the necessary paperwork and acts inappropriately.  If the DT are begging for money and trying to say the prosecution has unlimited funds, they probably should not show up in designer suits and shades with an Orlando Police escort to hand him yet another speeding ticket.  Shows their disregard for the law, the judge, the victim, the prosecution, and their own clients.  Is it too late for a makeover?

Prosecutors say they will not be using statements Casey Anthony gave law enforcement after her October 2008 arrest during its "case-in-chief," according to new documents filed in court.

They also do not intend to use video of her reaction in jail when the remains of her daughter Caylee Marie were found in December 2008, according to the prosecution's filing.

The revelations came in a witness list and evidence schedule filed for upcoming hearings scheduled to start Wednesday. The statements to law enforcement came after Casey Anthony's arrest on Oct. 14, 2008.

The prosecution also announced it will not be using statements Casey Anthony gave to fellow county jail inmate Maya Derkovic "during its case-in-chief." ::snipping2::

Hey Curly.....since the State is not going to use it, there is no reason not to release it....but that's just MO ....the defense may be able to keep it sealed using their favorite excuse.....it's evidence that shows KC as the murderer she is ::MonkeyMad::   My wish is that it is released but the rational part of me says it will not. ::MonkeyNoNo::

But that doesnt mean that they wont slam the door when given an opportunity to cross if the defense brings any of it up when they get up to bat or they open the door, which I have no doubt that they will make a huge mistake in doing so.

Im positive the hearings will be available on video by the evening so besides updates that you can sneak a look at during the day, you can review it when you get a chance. 

This should be a really good indicator on how off the chain this trial is going to be, of which I have no doubt the State will prevail.

What we did do, however, was write a story that used the term.

Clearly, the story and the term struck a nerve.

Attorneys for WFTV-Channel 9 have filed a motion to block reporter Kathi Belich from being called as a witness by Casey Anthony's defense team.

Belich, who regularly covers the case, has been listed by the defense as a witness for two separate matters. But WFTV attorneys say compelling Belich to provide information "would violate the constitutional, statutory and common law reporter's privilege," according to the motion.

"Under Florida's reporter's privilege statute, Ms. Belich has a qualified privilege not to be a witness concerning, and not to disclose, information she obtained while actively gathering news in the normal scope of her employment," unless the defense proves the information is relevant to unresolved issues, cannot be obtained elsewhere and a compelling interest exists for disclosing the information, according to the filing.

The motion, filed by media attorneys Rachel Fugate and Gregg D. Thomas, says the defense has not "made the requisite showing to defeat application of the privilege."

WFTV, the motion states, is also "concerned that an attempt may be made to exclude Ms. Belich from the courtroom pursuant to the rule authorizing sequestration of witnesses."
The motion asks Belich's name to be "stricken from the witness list." The attorneys said they tried to deal directly with Casey Anthony's legal team, but they have been unable to resolve the issue.

At his website he claims to put on a very agressive defense, from what I have seen of him in action in this case and his attitude towards other attorneys and LE, I wonder how can he continue acting in that manner. he is hanging his ownself. Hell have no fury like a media outlets scorn...yet another dumb defense move.  If they needed to get a portion of the public to gain some sort of sympathy for their client or their defense strategy its not happening with this network but they should have learned that a long time ago.  The also have not taken the time to realize that while WFTV is local they are affiliated & national coverage picks up what is being reported locally...for example, the many times Kathi has guested on Nancy Grace & the morning shows reflect on what was already reported locally, even showing some of their footage.

Every day Bozo proves just how emotionally stunted he is.

Prosecutors have told the judge they feel defense attorney Jose Baez didn't follow one of the courts orders when it comes to deadlines and want him to find Baez in contempt.

They also want the judge to toss out defense motions that discuss plant growth at the crime scene and mentions of chloroform.

All of those motions are scheduled for Thursday’s hearing.

On Wednesday, Anthony will come face-to-face with her former jail pen pal Robyn Adams who is currently serving time in a federal prison outside of Tallahassee.

Adams and Anthony wrote letters back and forth behind bars. Prosecutors plan to introduce those at the hearing.

They will also show visits and phone calls at the jail between Anthony and her family.

Anthony’s lawyers want to get all statements she made to her family and to Adams thrown out.

Prosecutors also plan to call George Anthony to testify.

The pros is being so smart with this case.  They are looking ahead to appeals.  I'm sure KC and Jose think that they are putting one over on the pros now that things are being left out of trial.  When this trial is done, KC will be known only as inmate # 1111111 and Jose will be the laughing stock of the Florida Bar.  He'll be lucky to get a job manning a sidewalk bikini selling hut at the beach.  lol

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, is firing back at prosecutors' motion suggesting that he be held in contempt of court.

In his own motion to strike the request, Baez accuses prosecutor Jeff Ashton of asking the court to require the defense "filings that are not required by any rule, case law or statute in order to assist him in the preparation of his case."

Long time reader, seldom poster here.

I am hoping some of you smart monkeys can help me out.  My understanding (and I could very well be wrong) is that the State is of the opinion that some of the issues that JB wants a Frye hearing on....really don't need a Frye hearing.  According to JA, if a witness is going to testify about plant growth, for example, if his testimony is purely his opinion, based on his 20+ years of experience, there is no need to have a Frye hearing.  It would then be up to the jury to decide if they accept the opinion.  If the testimony is based on a scientific process or procedure (per JB...Junk Science) than it does require a Frye hearing to determine of the process/procedure is valid and an accepted process.  If it is determined not to be valid the jury will never hear that testimony.

It seems to me that JB seems to get his knickers in a knot over nothing, I don't think he gets it.  If I am misunderstanding, please clarify for me or I will be right behind Cheny Marie and more confused than Jose  Marie.  Help!!!!

This guy is off the hook!! making more enemies than friends. He has a history of being vindictive and arrogant. I just cannot wait to see him put in his place. Hey Monkeys!   ::HelloKitty::  I'm at the hotel (which has a computer!) in Orlando, just 5 minutes from the courthouse. Already know where to go for parking tomorrow. It'll be a breeze.

The ride over was quite enjoyable, taking SR-50 all the way across from the gulf coast. It took me through the Withalacochee(sp?) State Forest, which was really pretty with all the trees in bloom and new leaves sprouting. SR-50 also took me through Groveland.  No sign of Sylvia, however. lol

I'm now off to Suburban Drive.  Later!

Baez made what Sheaffer called a veiled threat that this distraction could lead him to ask for a delay of the trial.
