I just heard from one of 2NJ's sons.  She is doing OK but has been in the hospital for a while.  He said she has an iPad but has been busy with visitors and stuff and hasn't caught up to all her emails and such.

He's going to let her know tomorrow how much we miss her.  Hopefully she'll get a chance to let us know how she's doing.

I've asked her son if we can send her flowers or something to the hospital.  I suppose it depends upon when she's going to be released.  I'll let you all know.  In any case I will still send her this thread in a card this week.

P.S. I was afraid her son was going to call the facebook cops on me for sending an unsolicited message but he was really very nice  ::MonkeyHaHa::

Thank you for letting us know Klaas.  I am so relieved that 2NJ is OK and look forward to hearing from her when she is able to post.

I don't think monkeys realise how much they can be missed if they do not report in every few days.

Klaas...that one is a cutie.  I have noticed that hospitals are providing stuffies and small pillows in pretty covers for in-patients.  Relative recently had surgery near her neck and was
given a small pink pillow to cushion her seat belt.  Volunteers are busy making things that
make patients more comfortable.  How nice is that...!   ::piggy::

While strolling through CBB's beautiful flower garden this morning ... I spotted this beautiful rose and thought about you.  I know it is unbelieveable but at that very moment ... I heard that flower call out to me.  I am positive it said "pick me".  I obeyed.  I knew CBB would understand.

"She is now home and getting much needed rest. By all means you can send flowers if you want. I also meant to tell you that despite having the iPad at the hospital, Scared Monkeys and other blogs were blocked by their wifi service. We're getting her set up at home here with the wifi so she doesn't have to go out of her way to get online and have the iPad while she's relaxing.

I have recently used my cousin's iPad with a MiFi (from Verizon).  It takes a little getting used
to but once you are set up, it is so portable and so fun.  Being that I am old, I stay on my
laptop with an aircard.  It is portable and fun too.

I took another stroll through CBB's beautiful flower garden this afternnon.  Once again ... I was thinking about you when ... I had another amazing encounter with one of CBB's prized roses.  This magnificent flower cried her little heart out to me.  Apparently ... she was very close with the roses that CBB and I picked for you the other day.  All three had resided side by side for their entire lives and ... she missed them terribly.  This rose pleaded with to reunite her with her friends ... so again I swiped/picked another flower.  CBB ... I hope you understand.

2NJ ... I pray God affords you and your family both strength and peace to endure this trial in your life.  Monkeys are anticipating your first post.  It will give us assurance that that you are on the mend.

2NJ, I just found this thread.  So glad you are doing better.  We really, really, really miss you and your "wise words".  Take good care of yourself.  We need you back with us as soon as possible.

By the way, my son just got an HP notepad (about 5x8) and everything is touchscreen just like an ipad.  It does take some getting used to.  I have an android cell phone with internet access and I love it.  Now I can check in during the day at work and I am not on works network.  Now they can't trace me on sites I shouldn't be on.  Ha! Ha!

I just received this message from 2NJ's son.  I am at a loss for words:  ::MonkeyTears::

I'm so sorry to let you know mom passed this afternoon. She was up and alert this morning ready to start cancer treatment next week. Something with her heart gave out this morning and she went into cardiac arrest and was put on life support. We waited until all family was there to later take her off.

While I'm truly saddened to pass this news, I want to express our gratitude for your little community that she was so into and enjoyed being part of. Thank you also for all the well wishes along the way. She's at peace now after a rough few weeks.

What a wonderful experience to even have been afforded the opportunity to know 2NJ even if it was just from being an anonymous poster from across the country. I take with me the thoughts of a wonderful, gracious and determined soul who wanted to make a difference in the world and did. I know she touched, ever so softly, this soul a thousand miles away, and for that, I'm grateful. Although your posts will be missed, I don't think that for one moment, that you, peaches, Natalee, or Stephany let us walk this journey alone. I quit so many times. I quit over and over. I'm only human.

Over all these years I kept that fire going for Nat. My Girl. And it always brought me back to something I said a million years ago.

I said it when Peaches died and I am reminded again - some of us may not be here when justice is served. It hurt to recognize that fact.

It actually hurts to know that "we're" not all still here - really it does.

There's no "monkey face" to make it all better.

Seems like yesterday that Tom Royce and Red opened this lil' bitty and lord knows how I have cried over the tribulations we have all face together. Without you - I couldn't have made it. That's the truth.

Somehow seeing a monkey ironing clothes made it all better for me. A monkey cleaning a toilet and that bowl was sparkling clean made my life seem right day after day. Thank You Love.

I wish I could just stop some of these tears... really I do.

It hurts when you lose people that make a difference ... really it does.

I am saddened to hear the news of 2NJSONS_MOM's passing. I am truly at a loss for words and profoundly saddened. Loss is always difficult and especially so when it is one of our own. I had read about 2NJ being sick and then her seemingly recovery, and was glad to hear that she was doing better.

I am so shocked and saddened by 2NJ's passing.  RoseAnne and I worked for the same firm, in different capacities for about 5 years, and many miles apart.  Both of us working virtually, but connected at the heart.  She was the type of woman that always kept in touch, reached out to me with warmth, cards and flowers when my husband died.  She was always trying to make the world better.

I have been out of town, and away from the computer for three weeks, and I had no idea.  Thank you Klass for letting us know.

RoseAnne, you are my friend forever, and I am so sad for your family and friends in losing one of the most caring, and loving of people.  God be with you and with your family.

Texasmom, I hope you won't mind my borrowing, but as 2NJ would appreciate, sometimes two monkeys come together to complete what one couldn't do alone. My sincerest condolences to Rose Anne Jordan's family. What a lovely name for an equally lovely lady. Thank you for sharing her with us. We were Blessed by her company and she is sorely missed.

I was away in Ohio and only now read San's email. I had hoped that Rose Anne had only pneumonia but now see it was far worse, cancer is truly such a thief. So often over the years Rose Anne and I had emailed and her friendship was so special to me.

Her name always fit her, she was so full of quiet grace and a warm and loving presence, like a beautiful rose.

I am trying to find comfort in knowing there were many to welcome her to heaven, to wrap their arms around her and guide her to peace.

God be with her family, her husband and sons, for as we loved her we can only imagine the gap in their lives and their grief at having lost her far.

I have been desperately looking for the photos that were taken of R and I together a few years ago. Someone's online photo album. I am hating myself for not finding the link or saving the photos locally. I am trying to reach out to others who were there to see if I can get my hands on the photos. I need to see those pictures

I still remember the day R and I learned online that we would be attending the same wedding in NJ -- and you orchestrated exchanging our email addresses. It brings a smile thru the tears. R & I dicussing Natalee Holloway all evening -- her hubby's beautiful acceptance of that. Her friends curiousity about our 'connection'.

God Bless Rose Anne. She is and will be so missed. May her family's pain ease with the passage of time and the knowledge that she is at peace.

The shock and sadness I've been feeling since we received the news has been overwhelming.  I have cried and cried, and still find it so hard to believe.  And when I think of all of you that knew our friend so much better than I ...and her precious family, my heart just breaks all over again.  I didn't know her real name until it was posted here, and she lived 1600 miles away, but my heart doesn't care about those details.  She was a treasured friend, I loved her, and I'll miss her forever.  When I saw her name, Rose...I thought the same as others, it was perfect!

Thank you again Klaas, for reaching out to 2NJ's son...for sending the "Get Well Soon" monkey to the hospital, and the other items you sent to her at home.  It is a comfort to know that she knew we were all worried about her and that you sent our love to her.  Extra big hugs for you for ALL you do for us.

I was trying to find a picture of monkeys grieving as we all are, the one I posted touched me the minute I saw it.  I would have posted the link, but there are other pictures on the same page that are not appropriate (and rather shocking) so I hoped and prayed that it wouldn't cause a problem, and posted it without the link. 

I hope each and every one of you that is hurting can feel my arms around you and my tears falling with yours.  We are a family here, and we all need a lot of hugs right now.

{{{{{}}}}} back sharon. I thought just last night when I heard that you were fortunate to have met her in person. I recall how much it meant to her too. I just re-read her emails regarding it so please know this, it meant a great deal to her meeting you.

My former MIL passed away at about the same age, cancer was discovered in her lung but due to the lung's close proximity to the heart and the aorta, she passed quickly due to a series of strokes. She was the wife of a physician too, had best of care and treatment, at times it just isn't enough to save them. Like Rose Anne she was the kindest of people, always warm and generous with others.

I need to thank Klaas too for sending the arrangement and card to her. I've been in an active job search and fear I've not been much of a good friend lately. I do thank you Klaas, CBB, MuffyBee, Nut, San and any mods I may have missed for all that you do - and Red as well for bringing us all together.

texasmom - you have her spirit, that same kindness and warmth. Hold onto that, it's the part I think we'll all miss so very much. That whenever we were down, Rose Anne always extended her compassion and support.

I learned with losing Rick that tears are a measure of honor for the impact others have upon us. Hopefully they feel the sweetness of our tears in heaven.

Klaas? Thank you for posting the avatars! They bring back such good memories of 2NJ! I remember her keen sense of humor around some of those! I believe she was grateful for you keeping her hands and feet warm when you added the mittens and boots to the winter one, and muttered something about her patriotism being in the toilet with the 4th of July one!
Last but not least was the ironing board stored in the pumpkin for Halloween............ I recall she thought it was a bit too similar to a "phallus symbol".

There's one that I can't find......... yet! It's probably misfiled in my Photobucket albums. Remember when 2NJ still had her original toilet monkey, she lamented on occasion that it was hard to decorate. I specifically recall creating her the gaudiest Christmas one I could come up with! It looked like Christmas threw up in that bathroom! We all cracked up when she swore she'd never complain again!

Thank you for the friendship, 2NJ. Thank you for the smiles and laughter. This family feels like there's an empty chair at the table, and we're waiting and looking for you to come take your seat so that our breathing will be normal again.

I just saw that 2NJ passed away.  What a loss.  I'm so sorry..   my thoughts are with all of you who knew her much better than I did.. and of course they're with her family as well. 

I've just returned to SM after a long cyber-break.  I am saddened to see a dear friend has passed.  RIP 2NJ
Heaven is a brighter place.  What a lovely tribute to a lovely lady.

Even still it seems like she is just 'away'.  Like without a computer or something.  Such a sudden loss hinders the reality that she isn't coming back  ::MonkeyWaa:: ...at least for me...

In Memoriam of celebrities we lost in 2011, and one of our own celebs … We say goodbye, but you will never be forgot.  So many of these celebs put a smile on our face and made us enjoy life, especially 2NJSons_Mom.

And then she would have said something that made us all laugh...that was her way.

She did bring many a smile, provoked so many thoughts, and added such a special touch to our research.  She is so very deserving of this kindness that you've shown by honoring her with the other celebrities lost this year.

I still miss her so...but she's always in my heart.   :cry:

Sorry to hear this and it makes me sad.  I miss Peaches too and makes one value every moment we are here.. A short story about a year ago my friends wife found out that she had cancer and I drove up to TN to see them.  Her daughter was getting married in a few weeks and she was hoping that she could be there for it.. Well the night I got there I saw she was in distress and told her husband that his wife looked in distress, so he took her to the hospital.  A few days later I came by to say my goodbyes and told her that she needed to conserve her energy so she could make her funeral.  I meant to say her daughter's wedding but funeral came out.. I wanted to run away but she laughed and said she had come to terms with dieing.  I left and a few days later she passed away and did not get to see her daughter married.  She did tell me the day we had together with me taking her to see her doctor for an appointment and then getting lost and finding a place eat was the most fun she had in a long time.  So I guess we never know.. I do a lot of bike riding, swimming and running, I think its because I want to enjoy everyday because we really don't know if we will be here tomorrow, so enjoy today..

I miss 2NJ so much.  I think of her all the time.  She was my neighbor and Monkey friend.

2NJ, I love and miss you, neighbor.  When I go into Natalee's thread, you are the first person I think of.  When I go to the shore, I think of you, too and wish your family had you back.  I know they miss you so very much.
