cbb I found a couple of new photos where the background is clearer, I think.  Second picture you will notice the radio transmitter taped to the Bilby's tail.  May be able to cover this up if this is the one you choose?  Leave it up to you.  Hugs..

yup, that were me.  Thank you so much for the offer.  right now I just have to settle for yummy meice pudding.  can't have too many lumpy food types for a while.  I am getting my appetite back and will soon be back to where I am comfortable with my old diet.

LilPuma? I'm trying, but the dark background helps him be clear, and when you eliminate that, he gets pretty fuzzy. Let me see what I can find...or give me a bit and I'll try something different with him.

and sorry about not saying please and seeming rather rude when I re-read my post asking for an Easter avi.

I had a severe allergic reaction to meds the other day (thursday) and ended up in the E.R. with I.V.s poked in me with a cocktail of drugs that would make even the acid queen in Tommy jealous lol, now they have me on benadryl and steroids for the next 9 days to get the bad drugs outta my system. I stopped takin the benadryl because I found they were makin me rather nasty and edgy to all around me. The Benadryl was mainly for the rash, which is just about gone now.

 the steroids aren't much better on me ( I have an extremely low tollerance for meds)..but at least it has me toned down enough to know when to go to my room away from man or beast lol. I am just gonna be a bit wacked for the next week or so and when I do post I just hope I can make some sense  :roll:

Again, if I seemed rude I appologize. I honestly appreciate all that you do for us. and i LOVE my Easter avi LOTS :)

Nothing worse than allergies.  I know!!!  If the rash is itchy rub on something with menthol in - like Tiger Balm Liniment.  Chemists can make up a cream base with menthol in and it works like magic.
I find anti-histamines make me bad tempered if I take them for a few days in a row, so have to take them, leave them, take them otherwise everyone around me suffers.  I feel really aggro - like PMS - lol

Yeah I didn't know I got like that too with antihistimines until I took the benadryl...OH GAWD!! I didn't even recognize myself and the attitude!!
 That was scarey in it's self..ya shoulda seem my Pommy's face when i said "get outta my way fluffball and let me sit!" whoa!! talk about me having to give her my ice cream to make up for it. We are good now though, Thank gawd. :wink:

THe current avatar is NOT the Easter lilies photo referenced above - it was a lovely vase of lilies but they just "washed out" as an avatar.

I think I'll stick with this one. (sighs of relief all around.)

Isn't it weird that some avatars that look like they took a tremendous amount of work takes so little, and sometimes others look simple and took a bunch of steps? I finally even went to ebay looking for Easter Bonnets! Mrs. Red's sold with a "buy it now".  :lol:

I saved the first bleachedblack in photobucket with the wrong optimized settings. I posted it here before I saw the problem. So I deleted it from photobucet, fixed the optimization, saved again in photobucket and posted here the second corrected one. They both keep showing up here, even though the first one doesn't exist in photobucket anymore!

Can you delete the first bb for me, before she gets the grainy one? TIA!!

CBB  & KLAAS - Just a couple of suggestions.

Make the thread name "Avatars - Seasonal" ... or "Avatars R Us!" (something that won't need to change).

I know July 4 is coming, but so is Memorial Day (this year 5/28) and Flag Day (always 6/14). All of these are "patriotic" occasions and have a lot to do with why red/white/blue are big summer color themes. (So unless a monkeys specifically wants 7/4 mentioned, I suggest not using the date.)

Just my thoughts, no biggie ...

I wouldn't worry about flipping the image if the heart will go with it.

Patti - I don't know about CBB but what you are asking is really hard to do.  The problem is working with 2 animations and trying to merge them together.

Patti: I'm not good enough to freehand stars at an angle for her to be standing on, using a mouse. If you can find an image that would work, I'll try to place it on the animation. I've added some sparkle to her dress and will post it both with a hat ( that's what I would do ) and without one for you to choose from.

I don't have the glitter thing down pat. That's why most of the avatars have a "cross" sparkle. Where you see the glitter ones, it's almost always because I've found it already done and used it as is or modified it to fit. That's impossible with the moving dress. I had 36 layers going just to add the fireworks, and to try to change the dress to glitter "freestyle"  would take my photoshop past its' memory capability. The reason it "glitters" is because the colors change from frame to frame. I'm sure there's a way to do it more simply, but I don't know how.

If you can find an image that you'd like to add, I'll be happy to do it, and place it wherever you'd like, but it needs to be an image, not an animation. Does that make sense?

Klaas? I just recently figured out that if you "erase" on a still photo, and then paste over an animation, it shows through!  :lol:  I know that's not rocket science, but I just discovered it and thought I'd pass it along. It worked out pretty well on SB's magnifying glass and GEL's wings. You have to play with the canvas size and position of the animation, but it's not hard.

I still want your twinkle!  :lol:

CBB, as much as I love my 4th of July avi, I'm using my candle one in honor of Natalee since case is opened back up.  If you get some spare time, can you maybe add a small pick of Nat on my candle?  Maybe like an image of Nat, faded sort of, if that makes sense?  Until she is returned.  I want it to make a statement if that makes sense.

Dihannah: I'm working on this.............it's not done, but I'm having a problem. Nat's reflection is too small to be recognizable if avatar size, and when I've tried to enlarge it to fit the whole mirror it distorts too much. Cropping really looses a lot, and I'm just not sure how to proceed just yet. I've got an idea or two but haven't had time to play with it more than this. I'll get to it, but wanted you to see where I was so far.

Klaas? If you have any ideas on the above, let me know! All of the animation so far is "homemade" on each frame, because I wanted to reserve the possibility of overlaying the slow "twinkles" on the whole thing that Dihannah seems to like so much.
The wing span makes it really hard to narrow.........Looks like a week-end project to me!  :lol:

Why does the background (like in silverfox's) revert to a white background when you save it optimized? Actually, it happens when up select the "2 up" option. It's transparent in the original. That happens to a few and I can't figure it out.

I had the same problem. In addition to purchasing the CD and the user's manual, I went to the bookstore and got a book called "Photoshop for Dummies." I did the same thing with QuarkXPress. I really recommend reading the user's manual and the dummies book. And like everything else, it takes lotsa practice.

Wow CBB - how did you do that?  It's fantastic!

This is the original, so the animation was already done as far as the "spin" goes:

So, I sparkled the wings with paint on each frame and then increased the canvas size by 1/2 of the original, keeping the image top and center. Then I duplicated each frame, cropped off the "increase" on the duplicate, flipped it vertically, and used "ocean ripple" in the filter tab. Then I just reduced the image size by half and "dragged" it onto the lower "blank" ( remember I had increased the canvas size) of the original frame.

Klaas..............you know anybody besides us reading this would think we're speaking "alien".  :lol:

P.S.

You have to follow that process for each frame; or at least I don't know how to do it any other way!  :lol:

:oops:  :oops:  :oops: I forgot to mention that I changed her dress color with paintbucket, and sort of "freelanced" shadows in her hair. There's a little touch up paint required between the two images when they are merged on the original.

Very impressive and alot of work!  Turned out great!  I've been really busy with "regular" work lately and haven't had time to play around.

I just noticed my avatar is too big in size (kb).  

When I upload it in photobucket and change it to avatar size, it increases from a 32 kb gif (276 x 251) to a 300 kb gif (90 x 100).  This is confusing me!  What am I doing wrong?

Karo, You're looking good to me! The width is very important........I don't go over 130. It can mess up the margins if the width is too big. The height is a little more flexible. I try not to go over 130 there either, but depending on the avi, it may a little. Klaas hasn't fussed so shhhhhhh........... :wink:
