What this person is alleging is that a virus took over the computer and downloaded all of these images without anyone's knowledge.  If I had 109,000 images of anything on my computer, I think I would become aware of it, especially if my computer was infected by a virus.

As far as it being impossible to download that many images, a GA man earlier this year was convicted of downloading over 200,000 such images. ::MonkeyNoNo::

Billie Dunn Arrested in Mitchell County

Dunn was arrested by the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office and the Mitchell County District Attorney's Office. Authorities went to Billie Dunn's house in Colorado City to serve a warrant out of Howard County to search what Shawn Adkins had on him.

Dunn told authorities that Adkins wasn't at the home, but he was, and as a result Dunn was arrested.

Billie Dunn has been charged with three misdemeanors. The charges are Hindering Apprehension, Possession of a Dangerous Drug and False Report to a Police Officer.

The drug charge was for a prescription drug that was in the house that Dunn did not have a prescription for.

Dunn will go before a judge tomorrow to have a bond set.

Well, I don't know much about misdemeanors, but I'm guessing that she should be able to bail out pretty easily.  Bummer.  I would love for LE to have more time to put the pressure on.

I'm really interested in the search of SA's grandma's house.  I would love (just out of nosey-ness) to read the affadavit regarding that search warrant - but if LE needs to keep it close to get justice for Hailey, fine by me.

§ 38.05. HINDERING APPREHENSION OR PROSECUTION.  (a) A
person commits an offense if, with intent to hinder the arrest,
prosecution, conviction, or punishment of another for an offense
or, with intent to hinder the arrest, detention, adjudication, or
disposition of a child for engaging in delinquent conduct that
violates a penal law of the state, or with intent to hinder the
arrest of another under the authority of a warrant or capias, he:
      (1)  harbors or conceals the other;

I wonder if any restrictions can be placed on her bond.  It seems like I have seen such things but don't know how specific they can be.  I think I have seen prohibitions from carrying guns, association with felons, etc.  Can they restrict her from having contact with an individual, ie SA? ::MonkeyGavel::

I don't this for a fact but i read that they may have looking for some distinguishing mark on him related to something possibly seen on a video or pictures,

im thinking, that SA could have downloaded the Bestiality files

If Billie were my daughter ... out of love ... for her own well being and ... the possibility that the truth would be forthcoming in regardings to my missing granddaughter ... my prayer would be that the $6500.00 bond amount is not raised.

Maybe ... just maybe ... without drugs in Billie's system ... a conscience will emerge and ... her precious daughter ... not despicable Shawn ... will become her focus.

Her "supporters" were already attempting to raise funds to get her out, all she needs is 10% which is $650

I just want to take this time to mention another case:

Casey Anthony, she was initially arrested for child neglect & lying to LE, she got bailed out then she went back in arrested on economic charges, after indictment Oct 14, 2008 she was charged with felony murder (mind you Caylee's remains were not found prior to indictment) Dec 11, 2008

It may be prudent to keep that sequence in the back of our minds

Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs said Billie Dunn consented to having her home searched after telling officers Adkins was not there. When investigators searched the house, they found Adkins and executed the search warrant for him, but Toombs would not elaborate on what evidence was sought or collected.

The search warrant was issued out of Howard County because his mother’s house in Big Spring was his last known address.

Officials also executed a search warrant for Adkins’ grandmother’s home in Dunn, where he had been staying after leaving Billie Dunn’s house in the aftermath of Hailey's disappearance. Scurry County District Attorney Dana Cooley declined to comment on any specifics related to that warrant.

I can envision it now.

If not today ... then tomorrow or ... the next day ... a high profile defence attorney will come galloping in on a white horse.  Then the talk show circuit with the major networks will be where it is at.  Maybe book and/or movie deals.  Unchallenged platforms will be provided to Billie ... unchallenged platforms to further her agenda of protecting Shawn from implication in the disappearance of her daughter.  In other words ... the truth in regards to what Billie knows will remain forever elusive.

It's impossible for one person to download that much because it would take years. If Billie had a lawyer all this could be explained easily which is why they aren't arrested for it. Anyone would be half crazy by now, it's very very easy to become addicted to pain killers and yes drugs do numb the emotions which is why alot of people do them. Billie loves Shawn even if we don't and there's no evidence against him or he'd be in jail. Holly I wish everyone were like you and asked questions really caring to hear what the answer is.

Hailey was nosy, didn't obey me and ever since she "left", well my life has been horrible, all I get to do is sit on my couch, accept money from others (again since I deserve it), and I even had to buy drugs illegally since my daughter up and left and made me look suspicous-my nerves were shot and none of this would have happened if she didn't have an attitude, or if she would have obeyed me (even though when she directly disobeyed and went outside), she was so nosy and I hope she learns her lesson about her (Hailey) selfish behavoir when she "left"........this is what I can imagine BJD is saying since of course she is as innocent as a newborn kitty, and has been slandered-again according to her, and the silly LE wanted her to cut ties with the suspect.....but it is all Hailey's fault and she it the victim. Sorry for the rant but she is pure evil and deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law for not only failing her child, but even worse she betrayed her..... ::MonkeyMad::

They also STATED that BOTH r persons of interest.

I have no idea Gabe, its typical of those inclined to want to find excuses for everything.  The bottom line here is Billie is a biological mother of two minor children & her duty should have first and foremost been devoted daily to their safety & well-being.  I dont give a rat's bottom "how easy" it is to get hooked on scripts, if she got them from a doctor for a specific medical condition she would have been monitored to prevent just that by pain medication compliance but NO she bought them off the street & often...that is a CHOICE not an EXCUSE.    She is abusing drugs BY CHOICE.

Secondly, its obvious Billie "loves" (beg to differ what that means) Shawn BUT what is evident about that is Billie is choosing Shawn over her own children & that cannot be explained away by lame excuses.   She was specifically told to stay away from Shawn until or unless he was cleared but she refuses, it exhibits that she is defiant & willing to be a partner to Shawn rather than stepping up to tell the truth & be more concerned for her children.   Today we learned she did not request an attorney & refused a public defender being assigned to represent her....she "thinks" that is showing people that she is innocent & she has nothing to hide by that idiotic stunt, she is sorely mistaken.   I hope she likes orange because she will be in it much longer next time  ::MonkeyWink::

She is a pathological liar & Im sure we will be even more disgusted in the days ahead.

Thank you for the radio link.    It is interesting to listen to the locals.   I believe  one of the local supporters of Billie Dunn - Cat - is a photographer for this radio station.    Since I read this and saw her on FB,  I can't confirm.    Plus, the FB page I was reading, Cat was removed/banned as a member for breaking a rule.

Anyway, did you all notice that Billie Jean has new highlights in her hair?  Wonder when she did that?

I agree with Capp that Billie is not smart making the choice of denying having a lawyer represent her.  Even though I believe she is guilty, along with Shawn, in the disappearance of Hailey Dunn, everyone should be represented by an attorney in court.   At the very least to help them navigate and understand what is occurring.

I believe this is a small beginning to everything falling out.   I hope that Big Country will start being objective in their reporting and stop protecting or softening the facts surrounding Billie Jean.  They are not asking any difficult questions and they had plenty of opportunity with her.   JMOO

I have denoted several times that some of the local articles are not only minimizing the facts of this case but also printing quite a few inaccuracies consistently.   PK appearing to be more the "official spin doctor" rather than deferring to the LE departments he has NO say or jurisdiction in.   He is the Colorado City City Manager, which means he deals with the budget & supervises CC's local fire, police, emergency depts -- he has no authority over any other LE branch such as Texas Rangers, FBI or DA's office.    IF PK cant even report that a person was indeed arrested versus spinning it to  "led in for questioning" when facts indicate otherwise, Id venture to say that nothing he says can be relied upon on and/or taken as fact.   PK didnt do himself or Colorado City any favors by appearing as a tool!

SNYDER, Texas -- Search warrant affidavits acquired by KTXS through the Freedom of Information Act show the warrant used by law enforcement in Scurry County Thursday night was used to look for more child pornography.

According to the warrant affidavit, law enforcement believes that Shawn Adkins, the only named suspect in the disappearance of 13 year old Hailey Dunn of Colorado City, is in possession of child pornography, namely, visual material like photographs and video footage.

Doesnt matter a forensic computer expert can find anything & nothing is ever erased completely from a computer unless the hard drive is totally destroyed.

Garza County is another rural county about 100 miles north of CCity.  I wonder if that is the closest computer forensic expert that could be found.  I would feel much better if the warrant came from a Texas Ranger computer forensic or, even better, an FBI.  Not knocking Officer's Flournoy's expertise, but just saying.  Hoping that it was just his name on the warrant and that he has some more high powered folks working with him. 

BTW - the "Easy Share" brand name camera was initially marketed by Kodak to camera buyers who were not technically savy and wanted to download digital images to computers, etc. without much hassle. ::CowboySmiley::

Bruce Flournoy, a deputy with the Garza County Sheriff's Office and computer forensics expert  was more than capable of determining that a further search warrant was deemed appropriate.  I am rather confident that when it comes to analyzing all this evidence that very established expert(s) will be conducting the daunting task with every single item.

What is so amazing is how insulting Billie is the public by assuming we would be naive enough to believe her lies.   Just how many times can she say that Shawn was there to pick up some of his things or stopped by because he wanted to talk to her.   They have been seen together consistently, its about time she got snagged with it.


And another thing, if Shawn didnt want to talk to LE that doesnt mean she had to lie for him.    It also doesnt automatically mean that he may be stupid enough to try & hide in her house realizing LE had to know he was indeed there.  There is a very good chance it was Billie not wanting Shawn to talk to LE.

OK - let's see - drugs - pills -pornography - videos of all of the above -stripping - lying about who knows what -a child having to break into his own home one afternoon - more lying - masks - videos of the mask escapades - getting stoned videos - more lying - discovery of  downloads of crime documents in their home - porn on the computer - porn on a memory stick stuffed in a drawer in the home - other child removed from the home - more lying - there was something very sinister going on in that home.  It is not rocket science.    There is something VERY wrong with what is going on in that home.

We all make mistakes, folks.  All famililes have issues.  But this is LYING.  BJD either had something to do with Hailey's disapperance or she made it happen. 

If my daughter was "missing" - hell hath no fury....

I don't know if LE could have searched BJD's house without her consent.  She may not have known that, but they would have had to have probable cause to enter the house without her permission.  My relative was involved in a similar situation and the police knew she was in the house but since she wasn't a resident of the house, they had to wait until she came outside before they could do anything.

Authorities say it's too early to tell if additional child pornography was discovered in the search of Shawn Adkins' grandmother's home in Dunn Thursday evening.
Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs says a number of electronic devices were removed from the home. Those devices will be sent for testing.

Toombs says this is the third search of the home in Dunn, Texas. He said the second search was consensual. Toombs noted pornography was discovered in the second search, but he couldn't confirm it to be child pornography. Toombs says the images are in the process of being analyzed.

Adkins is the only named suspect in the disappearance of 13-year-old Hailey Dunn.

Toombs added that Adkins does not own his own computer. However, investigators have reason to believe Adkins regularly uses the computer in his grandmother's home.

Sidebar note:  There is no question in my mind now, there is a political component by CC's officials causing them not to be on the same page as the DA or other LE agencies...its getting me rather furious too because I dont give a dang about positioning or politics when it interferes with a serious crime against an innocent child or any criminal investigation for that matter.   Also worthy of note, if CC did the right thing regarding Hailey's "disappearance" from the very beginning we wouldnt be a day late and a dollar short from getting the answers in this case.   The entire concept of her being a runaway & not having their eyes wide open to the obvious even for a day set this investigation in the wrong direction & gave the responsible parties time to plot.   Again, I dont mince words & at this point Im too livid not to speak my mind.

Anticipating an "arrest" warrant ... is it possible that LE arrived at Grandma's home with a search warrant ... Shawn hightailed it to Billie's home and ... "ordered" Billie silence regarding his whereabouts.

I am not condoning but ... something tells me that intimidation is why Billie may be distancing Shawn from implication in the disappearance of her daughter.  Could it be that both Billie and Shawn are participants in the internet child porn industry ... an illegal activity that if exposed could land Hailey and David's mother behind bars for years?

If there was only one computer that had all those images stored ... it would seem reasonable to suspect only Shawn but ... when that stuff was on found on so many electronic devices ... some seized from Billie's home ...

Billie's reaction to the latest child porn revelation will be very telling.  If she continues to distance Shawn ...

Billie Dunn Says She Has Protective Order against Shawn Adkins

Billie Dunn, whose 13-year-old daughter has been missing since last December, says she has a protective order against Shawn Adkins, her former live-in boyfriend and the only named suspect in Hailey Dunn's disappearance.

Billie Dunn called KTAB reporter Priscilla Luong to inform her of the protective order, saying she had forgotten to mention it in the news conference she gave this afternoon.

Dunn was arrested Thursday night after police came to her house looking for Adkins, and she lied to investigators, telling them he wasn't inside.  She was charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution, false report to a police officer, and possession of dangerous drugs.  She was released Friday morning on $6,500 bond.

The protective order was filed as a direct result of what happened last night, Dunn told Luong.  The filing cannot be confirmed at this time because the courts are closed.

What a bunch of bunk!   She was told to stay away from him until and if he was cleared by LE long ago, several times as a matter of fact.  She didnt request a PO on him because she wanted it, she knows she is in deep trouble.    She LIED for him willingly and now is trying to get out of that even if only in the public's eye.

The fact that she "forgot" to mention it indicates to me what importance she placed on it.  If she means to stay away from Shawn, stop protecting Shawn and/or herself her statement would have started wtih "I no longer have any association to Shawn Adkins & have requested a PO against him so he stays away from me (here it is).   O no, that is not what she did.

I have horses, and I know horse crap when I see it.  Convenient that she has one now.  Ohhh Kay.  Protective order won't keep him away from her if she invites him in.  Nice way to CYA.

I've not read here in a couple of days due to a terrible sinus infection; however, today I come back and all this excitement has been going on....still...all about Billie...how much drama can this one person make out of herself when the goal is to find her daughter?  Now, possible porn on the cell phone, too?  Billie looks 50 years old in her mug shot.  There's definately a problem with her and how she is about Shawn...even though she's heard he's had an affair and texting nude photos of himself to other women.  Hello?  Personally, I'm of the opinion that Shawn is seriously bad off - mentally.  Why can't LE nab this guy for somthing?

Could be intimidation, could be stupidity on Billies part, but I truly believe she isn't as naive as she claims. I know people like her that can spin tales that would make you, me and the rest of SM believe. Plus if what is true, she was still around Shawn and not looking for her daughter. I can't wrap my mind around why she would still be with him unless she is covering for herself and Shawn, if she was being intimidated by him, then tell all to LE/FBI/Texas Rangers. Logic would be to tell the truth, no matter where the truth leads if she she really wants to find Hailey.

I am so glad things are moving on this case. *I think* Shawn knows what happened to Hailey and was probably responsible for it and *I think* Billie J. knows that Shawn knows and I think Billie could know a lot. Also... *I think* drugs were/are (and *I think* Shawn is also a drug to her) more important to her than her own children.

I meant October...where did I get Feb, my hands have a mind of their own.

I think we're seeing the same thing over and over again.  Shawn says A, but Billie says B and what Billie says goes.  Again, this only reinforces my growing belief that BD is the boss here, and SA does the handywork.

IMO she will only distance herself from Shawn when she realizes how bad it looks to those who stood by her while she stuck by the suspect and called a press conference to give a timeline that basically (in her eyes) explained the pings on his phone after the affadavits came out.......Trish Roehmer (sp) was the one who stood by here thru thick and thin and last night I read where she finally had seen the light, said hindsight was 20/20 and once she was able to step back she thought she was involved to some degree......so JMO she knows public sentiment of even the hardcore supporters is turning and after lying to LE and being caught, I totally expect her to distance herself out of desperation, plus donations may be effected after letting him basically hide out in her house and lying for her.

Also, I don't think for one minute she is afraid of him and again JMO, when she called 911 that time about the t-shirt and threats, she didn't sound worried, she sounded like she was using LE as bargaining chip.....and then she still let him move in with her?? I just don't see it....

I have been lurking and been trying to hold my tongue. I was getting aggravated about posts making out that West Texas LE are stupid idiots and rednecks. I truly believe from people I know in LE in Taylor Co, that they are doing everything to bring Hailey home or bring a perp to justice.

THEN I got to thinking. I say the same thing about the PD where I live in Texas. Two girls were murdered by the father right around the corner from me, because of political correctness NOTHING has or ever will be done. My friend from HS was murdered, husband big cheese at the Country Club, never was a suspect. Yes there is a good ole boy system and Billie and Shawn aren't the most upstanding citizens that would make LE cover for them.

Could it be that Billie has been told the truth by Shawn and ... she knows where Hailey is.  However ... the distancing of Shawn from implication in Hailey's disappearance stems from her fear that he will implicate her in unrelated illegal activity ... unrelated illegal activity that will put her behind bars for a long time

Could it be that the unholy alliance with Shawn is no more and ... some truths are going to emerge.  Maybe a plea deal ... a plea deal that implies that Billie will not be held fully accountable for any wrongdoing (child pornography?) ... wrongdoing that Shawn may reveal in exchange for what she has learned in regards to the events encompassing her missing daughter.

Dunn was arrested by the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office and the Mitchell County District Attorney's Office. Authorities went to Billie Dunn's house in Colorado City to serve a warrant out of Howard County to search what Shawn Adkins had on him.

Dunn told authorities that Adkins wasn't at the home, but he was, and as a result Dunn was arrested.

Billie Dunn has been charged with three misdemeanors. The charges are Hindering Apprehension, Possession of a Dangerous Drug and False Report to a Police Officer.

The drug charge was for a prescription drug that was in the house that Dunn did not have a prescription for.

Dunn will go before a judge tomorrow to have a bond set. The Mitchell County D.A. would not comment any further on the case, but did say that Shawn Adkins has not been arrested.

Interesting how my emotions progress with this case.  Last night I was so very sad for Hailey.  Today...I'm just downright pizzed at what may have been done to her and what she was exposed to in that house.

My own opinion is that she will never distance herself from SA, until he has a plea deal and is specifically talking against her.  She can't afford to; he's complicit to this whole set up.  I think she will keep him til the end, even if there's no one else there beside her.

I also am certain she's not afraid of him, and now I think she only used that threat to burn him last time - even though he threatened.  I think she is the mommy to him, and of all the people who should be afraid of him - she's not one.

I also live in small-town TX, actually not even in town.  I know many of the deputies in the surrounding counties and many of them are hard-working and underpaid.  But you are right, there is a good ol' boy system in many of the smaller town's LE. 

That being said, most of them, no matter how well meaning or dedicated, do not handle high profile, missing person/murder cases like this on a regular basis.  I don't want to see this case botched because the local LE is over its head and won't admit it, like the Jon Benet Ramsey case in Boulder.

As a spectator without the transparency as is seen in the Florida cases, it is hard to determine whether LE in this case is just holding everything close to the vest, which is understandable, or is stumbling around in the dark.  And that Deputy who poorly handled BJD's complaint about SA's threats to her and Hailey doesn't give a whole lot of credence to what we do know about the department.

The lack of a good, consistent spokesperson for CCity hasn't helped matters, either.

My personal take on this PO is :

1. Billie said in court to the judge Shawn was at her house without her permission, forced his way in so to speak.  She is afraid of him and that she lied because she was afraid he would hurt her if she didn't.  (A another bunch of lies for Billie to get herself out of a tough spot.)  She said this never thinking the judge would then say," Billie Jean, Let's get you a protective order so you don't have to worry about Shawn harrassing you and coming around your door anymore.

2. Billie lied to the reporter.

Persoanlly I am hoping we have ourselves number 1..the good judge who saw right through Billie's lies and insisted that if this poor women was being hounded by the number one suspect then she should have a PO..and also no contact with lover boy and co conspiritor  in this crime.  That PO must really be grinding on Billie's butt for her to call a reporter..she is just too damn much ..does she realize she is crystal clear to anyone who is not doing drugs ?

I think LE has PLENTY of evidence on SA regarding the child porn at this point.  But they are waiting/searching/investigating for something in particular to lead them to Hailey now.  The awaiting child porn charges can simmer for a bit.  Don't know if LE know exactly what IT is that will be the 'missing link', but it's out there...  There's no way with SA's obvious use/saving/infatuation of photos that it won't be found. 

It appears that Peter Hyatt and Tamikosmom are on the the same page in regards to the latest happenings in the Hailey Dunn case.  We often differ.

Technicality question:  Isn't it more likely that she has applied for a PO?  Unless it is an emergency, don't you have to apply, then go to court in order to have the PO granted by a judge based on evidence?    ::MonkeyGavel::

Oh, I think you're right on that - the distance-in-public-eye, for sure!

I don't think that the LE are ineffective in this case..no sir ..they are playing this family like a fiddle.

No one anywhere can dispute the rep of the Texas Rangers..and they are involved in this case.

The only reason I think people may feel uncomfortable is with Peter K,  being spokeman when he isn't LE.  Smart move really..he is a man who has little to say while letting out anything stupendous...and he is keeping Billie and Shawn and their band of merry friends thinking they are way less Po's then they truly are.

I think that LE is playing this close to their chests because that is what LE does in every one of these cases in every part of the country.  Sans Florida Sunshine Law we wouldn't know anything much from LE or the prosecutors in Caylee's case.  Both LE and the prosecutors have not given much in the way of pressers there either.  But due to the Sunshine Laws we know their thinking, their methodology and then some.

Personally I love that there is a PO in place now..lets see how Miss Billie Jean handles that..I swear I can almost here that whole discussion in court of how the judge called her bluff.   That call to the reporter to just to let Shawn know that it wasn't the first thing on Billie's mind, oops it even slipped her mind the afternoon she was bailed out..

It's Pete Kampfer.  He makes himself look like an idiot, he even admits that he doesn't want to know anything because he might have to answer a question about it, and because LE chose him to be their spokesperson, it makes us raise eyebrows at them.  But that's only raised eyebrows; it's PK that really just is so amazingly conflicted and confusing that I'm beginning to wonder if he isn't doing it on purpose to help the case.  Or rather, I'm praying he is.

Could it be that the protection order is all about Billie fearing the wrath of Shawn when he learns that a plea bargain is in the works?

Could it that Billie will reveal all in regards to what she  learned about the happenings encompassing her missing daughter?

She hasnt given a dang about either of her children before and certainly not after this that has been obvious...what is so infuriating is watching her attempt this game of "Im the victim here" when we know at the very least she has knowledge her daughter is not "missing" and how that happened.

She was advised by LE on a number of occasions to cut off contact with her boyfriend, she refused extremely defiantly.

Janet I am sorry to say this..but no..I disagree.

I really believe the Order of Protection came about because Billie lies ..and she was in court..if the judge needed to believe her lies ..then he needed to believe she was in danger..logically and theoretically.  However..that places a burden on him to keep her safe or risk a her being done harm by Shawn.

I truly believe she lied to the judge and told him she was didn't know nothing about nothing and was afraid of Shawn..hence the protection order.  The judge is aware this is a high profile case...he needs to act in accordance..meaning protect those needing protection, even if they lie.

I don't see how Billie could cut a deal and walk free on such a low bond if she had even a small part in this.  She would still be in jail..that's more protective then on the street if she turned in a killer and was also in some portion of the crime or afterwards cupable. 

My true belief is Billie participated in the cover up and disposal arrangements for Hailey.  She didn't say anything to LE last night or Shawn would be in jail today on no bond..no release charged with murder.

And I don't think that Billie ever felt the wrath of Shawn..I think she is the older alpha female...I think she is as twisted as he is..I think it was no surprise he had other ladies on the side..and pics..I think she would have enjoyed that..and I am holding my breath..because I feel in my gut we are going to hear that there are threesomes on the porn tapes..Shawn, Billie and whomever they would invite into their twisted world.  And that would have been long before the bestiality..just saying there is a progression and a pattern to deviant sex..there will be more to come on that matter.

According to search warrant affidavits acquired Friday by KTXS through the Freedom of Information Act, a warrant used by law enforcement in Scurry County on Thursday was specifically intended to look for more child pornography on computers, discs and other digital devices Adkins has been using.

The affidavit confirms earlier reports by KTXS that child pornography was found on a computer at the home of Adkins' mother, where Adkins had access to the computer, and on a memory stick in the home of Hailey Dunn in Colorado City.

The affidavit details that pornographic images were found among deleted e-mail files on Adkins' cell phone and on a computer in the home of Renee Norwood, Adkins' grandmother.

Another warrant was issued, out of Howard County, but the judge in that case refused to release the search warrant affidavits to the media although FOI requests were made. That warrant is believed to have been for the "body" of Adkins, meaning it was most likely served to obtain DNA evidence.
When that warrant was served, according to documents filed in Mitchell County, Billie Dunn, the mother of the missing teen, reportedly lied about the whereabouts of Adkins.
She was arrested and has since been arraigned and has been released on a $6,500 bond for the three misdemeanors she was held on.

Billie did not try to say anything made her fail the poly. A lot of people speculated that the stress of finding out Shawn failed his might have caused her to fail hers. After she found out Shawn failed his, but before she took hers, LE asked her if she wanted to file an emergency TRO - she said yes, of course, because she didn't want him in her house if he failed the poly. Then she failed hers, and didn't know what to think. She didn't indicate deception on any question - LE explained that she failed because she went 'out of parameters', but not in response to a question (don't ask me).

I never asked her if she told Shawn herself to leave or if LE passed that message on to him for her. But he was gone when LE brought her back to her house.

I do not know if this has been discussed........ What if  Shawn  sold Hailey to some porn industry,being that he is so involved himself....I may be thinking way out of the box...but anything is possible.

Something has been bothering me about some of the articles.  They talk about child pornography, and they would thereafter usually say "pornography" was found on the memory stick - but they wouldn't flat out say 'it is confirmed that child porn was found on the memory stick'.

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- A spokesman for the investigation into a missing 13-year-old West Texas girl says dogs searching one of three landfills turned up "possible" evidence in the case – even as hope remains for her safe return.

Colorado City Manager Pete Kampfer declined to elaborate Tuesday on what was found or why the landfill in Abilene was searched in the disappearance of Hailey Dunn.

Kampfer confirmed to KTXS News Tuesday afternoon that the word "possible" must be included in the statement about evidence found.

He told KTXS News that "possible evidence" was found in the landfill searches, but authorities have not yet determined whether the "hits" previously reported could become evidence to be used in a trial.

Kampfer said searchers used cadaver dogs also in the Colorado City and Snyder landfills.

Billie also said that the PO was that he couldnt come near her PROPERTY.    No, that is not what a PO or a TRO or RO does.   They are designed to order an individual not to come within a stated distance of an INDIVIDUAL, no matter where that INDIVIDUAL is.    This had to be explained to her explicitly so its interesting that she is even lying about that

Here is a little theory that popped in to my overworked brain.  Forensic computer analysts going through the thumb drive find images that were not on the computer.  That device can't download anything, so I guess that might be the clue for them to get the warrant a search for more devices.

The above article does not specify that it was Billie who requested this restraining order.  Was it a ruling from the court as a stipulation of bond?

I also think that Billie may have tried to get out of trouble by stating that she was afraid of Shawn & that is why she lied (cant be the truth because Shawn called LE himself and said he was indeed at her house as reported by the Snyder paper referenced in an earlier post here).   The judge in his wisdom (believing her or not) may have said "Okay, Ms. Dunn I'll tell ya what I'll order a Protective Order against Shawn Adkins and he cannot come near you within X distance."   If they disregard that Order, Shawn and/or both can actually be taken into custody.   

A PO or as in other states it is referred to as an TRO or RO (if permanent) orders an individual to stay away from a person, not a property.  Also, in most states a temporary one is issued with a court date to determine if a permanent order will be issued, I'll have to look at the pertinent Texas statute.

That is also entirely possible

The fact that Billie didn't remember to tell the news reporter during the interview, tells me that she did not seek this restraining order.   In her "Billie speak",  that the restraining order was a direct result of what happened Thursday night , must mean the judge ordered it.

If she sought this order of protection, she would have stated that before anything else.   As we've all seen before, Billie places herself first before anyone else.     ::rhino::

I believe it was the judge's order AFTER Billie tried to get out of trouble for lying to LE by stating she was afraid.   Considering Shawn called LE to state that he was in the house indicates to me that BILLIE was the one that didnt want LE to talk to Shawn.    Also take note that in one of her direct statements to the press that "they were arguing."   She didnt say "he came over and I was petrified what he would do" no she said "they were arguing."

We all know that these 2 toxic lovers will not stay apart.

Speaking of which...It might be a good idea for LE to request kindly or get a subpoena for people close to Billie & Shawn as they may be communicating with those individual's phones (i.e. Shawn's mother, Billie's mother, etc. etc).

Its rather obvious that they must be aware that their phones may be tapped.

if it is found that billie violates the protection order in anyway by attemping to make contact with shawn, she could be found in violation of the order as well and sent back to jail

I wonder if part of her bonding out is that she has to take drug tests.   I don't see that Billie is going to be able to stay away from her non-prescribed drugs very long.   Besides the withdrawal, she is under some intense stress with all the lying and dancing around she has had to do.  And, she is alone.   No Shawn.   No David.    No Clint.    And no Hailey.    It must be eating at her every minute.

Billie Dunn Says she Filed No-Trespassing Order against Adkins

The mother of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn said she filed a no trespassing order against her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins.

Billie Dunn said investigators found disturbing messages about her in Adkins' cell phone Thursday. She didn't wish to go into detail, but described the content as "threatening."

Dunn said Adkins can't come on her property for a year under the order she filed Friday.

"He made threats against me. I don't think he sent them anywhere. They were just on the memo pad...I got scared and I didn't want him to be able to come over here at all anymore," she said.

Id say no one.   I dont believe her for a second...she's setting him up so she doesnt take a fall...shes about to crack IMHO   How do we know she didnt type that in his memo pad to set him up?    He called LE to say he was at the house, why would he do that after she lied & got hauled off in cuffs?

They have been seen together consistently throughout this entire time & it sure as heck was not one sided.  Including the woman from Hailey's Angels (search team) witnessing BILLIE with roses for Shawn on Valentine's day.

Well she never gave Shawn up, David wasn't the baby she wanted, she has Clint at her beck and call apparently, and Hailey - well she might have been part of that.  She's so stressed out that she's going to concerts and getting a suntan.  Poor gal.

Well that's stupid.  He made threats before against her and worse, Hailey, and that didn't stop her.  I call shenannigans.

Don't forget the tan - the couch was too heavy to drag into the yard for that one.

The whole thing reminds me very strongly of when I was reclaiming my life back after removing some baggage from my life - in my case, my ex-husband, and I certainly didn't disappear him.

I was just explaining the 'memo pad' thing to my boyfriend, and he looked at me like I was crazy and said "who uses their memo pad?  And saves them?  Emo kids do that!  It's the same thing as a diary!!"   I have to agree.

ITA   Its been obvious that she is moving on with her life & leaving everything that once was behind.   She thinks she is home free...wonder if shaking those fake ta-ta's as a stripper for the local boys helped her out with that, you know me I call it like I see it.

OK, this has been bothering me all day and I've only now had enough time to sit down and type this out and ask y'all.

Child porn:  they found it on devices and linked it to Shawn's email.  So why is he NOT in jail?  I mean sure - there might be more people involved, but if the FBI found it and linked it to his email, why isn't he in jail now while they figure out who else had it.  Maybe it would make the other people feel more relaxed - like they got everyone and they don't have to worry any more.

According to Billie investigators saw that on his phone, would they really have even gone in his "memo pad" at first blush with no instruction to do so....I dont think so.   How is that enough to get any order when the threat was never transmitted?   Im telling ya something stinks of Billie spin.

How many times did she call 911 on him out of spite because they were arguing?   O yea that's right she felt it was important that he not take an Xbox from the house, never once mentioning feeling he would harm her or her children.

Thanks for that info, Capp; so it's the same as before - I guess they just haven't seen it.  I really did lose sleep over it last night, and when I finally did sleep, I just had vague nightmares about Shawn all night.  Not fun.  I think I'm going to read about gardening, do a nice flowery purge of my brain for the night, and go to bed.

Nothing will happen tomorrow likely, but Monday could "get Western" as we say out here sometimes.  :)

Starwynn - I had that same question spinning in my head yesterday.  But then I realized LE has plenty on SA at this point in regards to the child porn.  But there is likely something related to SA's hobby that is going to lead LE to Hailey.  The arrest for the child porn is coming...but they can wait for just a bit while LE finds the link they need.  They are waiting to arrest on the child porn charges on purpose...for Hailey.

You do realize that if she wanted to prove what she had in the way of an Order, she by law had to have received a copy.

Regardless, whatever it truly is or isnt I personally do not believe Billie requested any type of protection from Shawn unless she felt that she was about to get ratted out by Shawn.

Why is Shawn having threatening thoughts about Billie?  Does he realize if a plea deal is offered to Billie ... he is going to go down for the happenings encompassing the disappearance of a little girl named Hailey.

No, I agree.  I would be highly surprised if she personally requested something, initiated it.  She might have played along with a "well then why don't you get a...." if she were pulling the old "Oh the big bad wolf was going to get me" bit.  I'm sorry - I have poison ivy, and I don't feel like pussy-footing tonight.  I'll feel guilty in about 2 minutes, but hopefully the benadryl will kick in by then and knock me out.  lol

I also agree about the convenience of her not only calling after the county clerk offices were closed, but also calling Luong instead of the current reporter covering her from that station.

Every little bit adds up, and as she digs a deeper hole, it just seems even deeper as she piles all this detritus up around her with the "Shawn-is-threatening", and the "got an order", and "I don't want to see him again".  We have tall boots here in Texas for the really deep stuff; I think I might have to start wearing them.

Well, if everyone recalls she is the one that got rather emoted (very out of character) when it was suggested on BTH that maybe Shawn was going to go for a plea before her.   The ONLY other time she got upset was when it was being discussed that Shawn cheated on her.

She also despite everything that's been known by the public stuck by him & professed her love for him.   She insisted he could never harm anyone....blah blah blah

They are both toxic, both despicable.

COLORADO CITY, Tx -- The mother of the Colorado City missing teen admits she's beginning to lose hope.

This after Billie Dunn was arrested Thursday and affidavits obtained exclusively by KTXS, show that authorities found more pornography, including child porn, on devices used by Shawn Adkins, Billie's former boyfriend.

After Billie Dunn was arrested and interrogated, she is now doubting Adkins innocence.

Billie told KTXS "There's so much that's happened, so much that I found out about him..I think about 'did he have time to hurt my daughter?' and 'why would he hurt he?.'"

She has no intention of staying away from him.   She is doing the same as she did before.  That being said, i was right she could not have gotten a PO for a year automatically.   An individual is first granted a temporary ex parte order.
