Sharon...is there a chance that this could be the GM's wife that you posted about this morning or the young mother from the charter boat?  I wondered about the charter boat as the article said they were searching to see if there were any more bodies!

Hi Mum

GM's wife found safe. 2NJ posted the update. Hoorah for a happy ending.

I was thinking about the boat captain's wife, too.  Sad

I haven't heard any updates yet.

There are so many people 'fleeing' their Caribbean islands (Cuba, Haiti primarily)to reach our shores -- and they travel in inner tubes, makeshift rafts, etc -- that is always the first thought. Someone didn't make it -- and at least washed up on shore.

I'll post any updates I find. This was in Pompano Beach -- Broward County...or more generally speaking,  'Ft lauderdale' -- just in case you see an update.

Hi Mum -

Also meant to add -- Coast Guard called off search for crew last Friday, I beleive.

Family was conducting private searches -- they may still be.

I think everyone in the family believes them to be dead, now Sad Bullet casings found on the boat  Sad

The family was hoping that they had just been thrown overboard without shooting. Casing make it look grim. Waiting for forensics on blood found on boat.

And just to add insult to injury -- there is now a family 'battle' over the custody of the captains 2 babies Sad

Sadly, it's not anyone that we were already looking for. Don't know the cause.

Dead woman found on Pompano beach identified

By Joel Marino and Andrew Tran | Sun-Sentinel.com
3:51 PM EDT, October 3, 2007

POMPANO BEACH - Authories have identified the body of a woman found on the beach wearing only a pair of black buckled sandals Wednesday morning.

Marcia Rudolph was found face down in the sand by a passerby around 7 a.m., about 100 yards north of 1600 N. Ocean Blvd, said Broward Sheriff's Office spokesman Elliot Cohen.

Driving records give her age as 61 and list a Pompano Beach address. A call to the home's phone number reached an answering machine.
