I wonder if there is any loop hole or something we don't know about where Casey could have made a request for George's medical records as a next of kin?

Only if George would have at some point put Casey down as a Next of Kin contact, or as somebody who a doctor could speak with about his health, should he be unconscious and in need of medical care.  I don't see a man doing that with his daughter, if he has a perfectly healthy wife to do that for him. not to mention, if he had molested Casey for years, why would he put her in any position to make medical decisions for him?

How could Baez get his hands on those records without GA's permission. And if GA did give permission, then that raises a whole lotta questions?????

That's what we're all wondering, too.

OK, lets say he did give his records, doesnt necessarily mean anything.  It could also mean he felt there was nothing to hide.

I can’t think of any reason for Baez to have those records for any good purpose. For GA to willing give them up causes me to suspect some type of collusion between them. I’m not comfortable believing  he isn’t still covering up for his gorgeous little princess KC and I can see him allowing people to think the worst of him just to keep her off death row.

To put in this thread of "Justice for Caylee" the words "Justice of Casey demands it" is like yelling fire in a crowded movie theater. JMHO

Ok, just for the sake of argument , say George did molest casey(not that he did) STILL doesn't give the right for casey to kill Caylee.
Give her LWOP.

We just have to see how this plays out....
All can speculate, but FACTS speaks volumes.
 
 

I agree.

Nothing that may have happened to Casey in her childhood justifies harming a child.  She must be held accountable.  Justice for Caylee demands it.

However ... IF George dispicably betrayed Casey as a child as Baez's opening statement implied ... he also needs to be held responsible.  Justice for Casey demands it.

The State could just as easily throw it the other way if the defense sticks with the alleged molestation of Casey.

After all the family has attempted to cover Casey's butt from day one in one way or another so it could simply be seen as more of the same.  George thrown under the bus. JMO.

And the attempt to bring in George's medical records even if they are refused would still leave maybe one juror with a big question in regards to what may be hidden?

I would not be surprised if George had somehow agreed to release his medical records to Baez a year or so ago (when he was still thought Baez was their friend and casey was not gonna throw him under the bus).

I don't know exactly how it works, of course, but let's say that he put Casey down as someone doctors could speak with in he was in some sort of medical crisis...  he isn't now in one, that we know of... the only time we know of (or that I can think of) is when he attempted suicide. But if she's incarcerated, there wouldn't be any need to release his records to her. And I don't see how an inmate (or their attorney) could get this kind of information w/out George's written consent.  What would somebody in jail need with their dad's medical records?    I don't see how anybody would have the right to any information unless the police did a DNA/paternity test, and the state then had to release the results to the defense.    I don't know.. I just have no clue..

Hi Janet

The note that George wrote to Casey was in response to those jailhouse letters being released between Casey & an inmate she befriended. I think Casey's a fraud. No way do I believe she was molested by her father. I don't even think it happened with Lee. This young lady lies incessantly. IMO, she lies to get a rise out of people & to gain sympathetic attention.

Please read George's March 25, 2010 note/letter to his daughter.  George states very clearly that the note/letter was in response to a March 24, 2010 meeting with Baez and Mason.  At that meeting was presenting with "two heartbreaking questions".

I believe that those "two heartbreaking questions" reflected the accusations in Jose Baez's opening statements.

1.  Were you a participant in the disposal of Caylee's remains following an accidental drowning?

2.  Did you despicably sexually abuse Casey as a child?

ORLANDO - On July 16, 2008, Casey Anthony told detectives she'd stop at nothing to find her missing daughter, Caylee.
"I will lie, I will steal, I will do whatever it takes to find my daughter.  I put that in my statement and I mean that with all of my heart," Anthony said.
"We don't want you to lie, we work off of the truth. We want to find your daughter as much as you do," said one of the detectives interviewing her.
The interview took place at Universal Studios, because Anthony told detectives she was employed there.
Soon after she and the three detectives arrived, Anthony admitted she hadn't worked there for years.
Detectives weren't surprised, though, because they told her everything she had said up until that point was a lie.
"I can tell you for certain, everything you've told us is a lie," Detective Yuri Melich said.

they do.. isnt that trial by ambush.. which is what nilton diaz said bozo did ..he hollered ineffective counsel and now bozo is trying again... can they do that... isnt it unacceptable if the state doesnt know and have a copy?

George isn't on trial , can't believe they can legally admit his medical records with our HIPAA laws.

What would these records reveal that would be relevant to the case?

I would imagine that the defense wants to show that George's "suicide attempt" was due to his guilt for disposing of Caylee.   

... or maybe George confessed to sexually abusing Casey.

It just hit me like a ton of bricks.  Could it be that Baez does have credible backup to support his defence strategy ... back up his allegations in his opening statements.

Think about it.  The note to Casey.  George does not deny anything.  He is not accusing Casey of being untruthful.  In my opinion ... Casey's father is putting a guilt trip on his daughter ... a guilt trip that implies the family will be destoryed if she reveals all and it will be all her fault.

We are talking abut George's medical records here.

If George's medical records would have shown a confession to sexually abusing his daughter..the doctors would have had to report that..yes even a shrink..because she accused him of doing this from a tender age..8 years old..that means it is a felony..and all doctors are reporters in our medical system for child abuse of any kind.

One thing George has stated is that one of his sisters has bipolar disorder and that maybe that got passed to Casey.

If these medical records show George had a severe depression, which imo a person would have if they attempted suicide, then Baez may try to show that these conditions were passed on to Casey.  Which would not make sense unless they had a diagnosis on Casey.  Since he can't get those diagnosis from the shrinks in before, and then even withrew them..this maybe his way of trying to get the legal stance to try to re-enter them.

What good they would do I don't know other then save her from the needle..no mistrial..no one else murdered Caylee but Miss Casey.

I do believe that when found guilty, Casey deserves the death penalty.  The more I think about it, am thinking the death penalty would be 'too good' for her.  I'd be totally happy with LWOP, just so that it rocks her world when she is placed among the gen pop, for the rest of her miserable life.

Answering my own question............................ if George had agreed to give Baez his medical records (say a year ago), why would not Baez have already entered these into evidence BEFORE the trial??? They should not be entered into evidence now -- NO WAY!
