Orlando (CNN) -- Jurors will hear more forensic evidence in the Casey Anthony trial Wednesday, a day after experts testified that a trained dog alerted them to the smell of human remains in the suspect's car.

A dog trained to locate remains alerted its handler to the smell of human remains in the trunk of Anthony's car and a corner of her parents' backyard, a K-9 handler testified Tuesday.

When the dog, Gerus, passed around Anthony's white Pontiac Sunfire on July 17, 2008, "he started indicating in the rear of the vehicle," said Jason Forgey, a sheriff's deputy in Orange County, Florida.

"I could tell he was working something."

Casey Anthony trial: State to call Osceola Sheriff's K-9 handler first

An Osceola County Sheriff's K-9 handler will be the first witness called by the state this morning as the 13th day of the Casey Anthony trial gets underway at 9 a.m. today.

Deputy Kristin Brewer worked with her K-9 partner to sweep Casey Anthony's backyard in July 2008 to look for evidence of a dead body.

Jurors were dismissed 20 minutes early Tuesday after Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry decided it would be better for Brewer's testimony to be heard all at once and not broken up.

Even great grandpa - who is clearly not operating at 100 percent - KNOWS that both arms wrap around

Caylee and you have to hold her tight, because she is very fragile.

Even he, at this stage in life, 'gets it'. God bless great grandpa.

Carpe, when I was little my great-grandpa would hold me and I would put my head on his chest and listen to his heart beat.  I remember it clearly.  When I am very quiet now, I often think I hear it still.

Yesterday I watched the trial on Fox Orlando, at the right hand side of the sight people
always blog, it goes very fast and hard to read it all, but I'm sure that that KC was on it.
I'm pretty sure that Cindy was also. KC had that white comp. in front of her all day. I have
watched trials for years, I have never seen a inmate sitting with a comp. in front of them.
I will believe that Cindy is helping the pros. when she tells them about the fight they had
on June 15/08 about the money she stole from Cindy's dad. Did she grab KC by the neck or
not. I think Caylee died that night or early on the 16th.
