Please post the pics of the hand and wrist with the band on it.  I have looked at that pic so many times and just this very day saw what you are claiming is in that pic.  I think everyone should take a closer look.  I see it most clearly when I look at it in it's normal size and not enlarged.  It gave me chills.  Actually, I was a bit shocked.

I am waiting until I hear what Jossy has to say on Dana's tonight before I write anybody or do anything related to the boycott of his newspaper.  I think I understand it but want to be sure and also don't want to do anything that Jossy would not approve of.

I am not certain if he would want Aruba embarrassed yet again in defense of his paper or not, fine line there.  Of course, he does not support the tourism boycott at all either so what is it exactly we could ask people to do?  

 

I'm pointing out the suppression of the press by a supposedly democratically-elected government that's 19 miles from Venezuela and headed by a Prime Minister who's buddy-buddy with Chavez.

I'm using the quote from Jossy (one of the M&C posts) about anti-Americanism, pro-Chavez-ism, and also including the "laundry list" of scandals Jossy has been reporting.

And if I had time, I would hunt up the various posts we've had about "Stupid Americans" and the photos of the supposedly American woman dancing, etc. Anyone with time on hand could make an exercise of that; I would be happy to do the actual mailing.

However, I've already mailed (USPostal) my initial salvo on this. Congress critters (the usual suspects).

I've been thinking about writing to Valero in Texas. (Or wherever they're headquartered.) A government teven THINKING about suppressing the press isn't far from THINKING about nationalizing foreign businesses.

Maybe a Texas monkey could look into that.

I understand what you are doing.  And I personally feel much the same way.

I just want to see what Jossy says and what he WANTS us to do to help him.  I'm not comfortable using a boycott against his paper for something of which he may not approve regardless of my own agenda.  I THINK he would approve but want to take the lead directly from him because I am fearful of offending him.  



I have been on a little tear of contacting news people trying to get coverage for the second anniversary and release of the suspects and include the link to the M&C Thread every time.  So far I have received the usual silence.

Anyone have any thoughts on how we can get some to do anniversary coverage?

Being in a positive mood, I shall assume that the usual no response means they are thinking about all the possibilities and interviews they could conduct on this occasion in lieu of responding to me.  

Yeah. . . .sure they are . . .mutter . . mutter.  I guess if I ever actually received a response to any of these letters, I would print and frame it!

And yet, some of them have had actual results.  Go figure!  You'd think a response wouldn't be so difficult and out of the question.
