ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony was removed from the courtroom Thursday afternoon after appearing very fragile as photos of her daughter's skulls were shown.

Anthony began to rock back and forth, breathe deeply and hold her head in the palm of her hand as Dr. Gary Utz, the Orange/Osceola County Chief Deputy Medical Examiner, showed pictures of Caylee Anthony's remains, including graphic photos of her skull.

Anthony did not look up as photos were shown by three witnesses over a period of several hours, but the photos were described in graphic detail.

Trust me if you smell human decomp you will never forget it. I worked at the county hospital and the ME did all his autopsies there. We were required to do the x-rays on the bodies and it is something that you'll always remember. kc won't forget it.

HLN is saying this has happened before, on Day 3 of jury selection. Casy became ill and was escorted out of the courtroom. How did I miss that?

Does anyone know what the court procedure is when the inmate is "sick'' and can  not continue with the hearing, as in this case?

I believe the defense must forfeit, as they do in tennis.

This is so unfair to Caylee.

And to the jurors!

I think it's possible the judge was watching her reactions/acting and didn't want the jury to assume it was 1) remorse or guilt for murdering her child or 2) sadness for an accident that she feels terrible about

IT could be prejudical either way, and it's possible the judge didn't want the jury to form an opinion either way. Just a guess......still pisses me off though since we know the only person Casey cares about is Casey

That 6 station is showing a white corerections van they think the inmate is in and taking her to the nearest hospital.. OMG  from helicopter.. this reminds me of OJ driving down the road in the white bronco.. If she shows no signs of illness.. shes back to jail and in court tomorrow!

Can't remember if there has been evidence to show stain in trunk is decomposition. IF so, would it contain DNA? That would prove Caylee's body was in the trunk.

IDK, I remember talk of a maggot milkshake way back in the day that would show DNA, but don't remember if they did one or not. Some smarter monkey than me probably knows that answer

Dorothy Sims doesn't appear terribly sympathetic to Casey.  The camera has panned over to her and she seems pretty stoic.  Even her pats of Casey seem perfunctory.  Andrea Lyon seemed more emotional.  (I don't know if that would have been a good thing or not for the defense, just an observation.)

Why is she there?  She quit the team?  Makes no sense to me.

I think one of the reporters tweeted that she could be going to the hospital, then a helicopter was mentioned but nothing is fact.

Very good point!  Especially if the jury remembers that she high-tailed it over to Tony's to rent some gruesome movies @ Blockbuster.  And spent the whole next day....um....you-know-what.
