Baez CANNOT say he's surprised the State will call the tape as basically the murder weapon. We all recall Jeff going through Caylee perhaps looking at her killer as the tape was wrapped around her cutting off all air.

I can't believe that Baez just said the State was throwing things against the wall to see what would stick!  The only thing that really has stuck is the duct tape!

Kind of ridiculous that baez would talk about throwing stuff up against the wall. That is all he has done since the trial started.

As for Dr. Warren and the proffer that the judge is listening to. If this is allowed in court and the video, Casey is finsihed. The jury will see what transpired over time as a scaled means for comparison. It is sad these types of things are needed, but is Jose baez's client who made this all necessary.

This should be interesting to say the least.

The only thing Dr G said that bothers me is that she said the tape was on teh lower mandible.  I know that being 6 months in a bag and then being dragged by animals would shift the tape off her mouth and nose, but will the jury know this?

That was the 2nd or 3 person that said duct tape on the mandible only. Two people said on the mouth and nose..

Remember there was skin and muscle and other soft tissue over the bones when
the duct tape was put into place.  As the soft tissue decomposed it would have
altered the position of the tape or allowed it to slip to a lower position.

Why not show it? They've seen pictures of Caylee and  then her remains. It's just superimposing of both together and they've already accused Casey of doing this so how can it change anything with what the jury might think?? I think it's very relevent to show.

I think that chloroform was the cause of death, and that the tape was put on afterward either 1) to ENSURE death or 2) after death to prevent bodily fluids escaping as decomposition started

I disagree.  However ... I could be wrong.

An overdose of chloroforum would have snuffed the life out of a two year old child in a very short period of time.  No duct tape required.  This is why I speculate that the duct tape was wrapped around Caylee's head following her demise.

Could it be that the death process caused Caylee's clothes to be soiled with feces ... maybe vomit?

Could it be that it was following her daughter's death when Casey changed Caylee's pull up diaper and clothes?

Could it be that the duct tape was then wrapped around Caylee's head to prevent the further escape of body fluids through the ears, mouth and nose?

Think about it.  The clothing Caylee was wearing when discovered was not the same clothes that George had described his granddaughter wearing when he last saw her at 1:00 PM in the afternoon of June 16, 2008.

Your scenario is still a homicide, whether she died from chlorofrm and she put tape afterwards, or whether she died from the duct tape.

I do not know what the cause of death is.  I don't think I care.  She killed her some way, and not being found until 6 months later, all evidece of how that happened was wiped away.  I think the tape held chloroform on her face.

This video is basically doing what I suggested earlier........... taking photo measurements and comparing it to tape measurements to see how it's "placed" on Caylee's face.
