Those chloroform, etc. searches were on March 21st (mostly, I think). Isn't KC's birthday around then? Do we know what was going on around March of '08?

march 19th is her birthday. I think that is feast of Saint Josephs day in the Catholic religion.
I was wondering too, what may have been going on around her birthday that would send her into thinking about murdering her daughter.

ever notice that Casey can barely stand long enough for the jury to be seated? she is the first one sitting down always that I have seen..She probably thinks that they should rise when she walks in instead...   no respect at all

I didn't realize that judges stand for the jury.  I think that is really nice.  Do all of them do it or just JP?

JP is very respectful of this jury...He shows respect and is trying really hard to make sure that they are comfortable...
I heard someone say that the state will be resting next Friday! if that is true, this trial will be over before predicted..which will be great..lesser chance of losing a juror jmo...

Just popping in to say Hi to all my Monkey friends.

Was not able to watch the trial today or be online until now.....so mega catching up here for me.

I think the trial will be over in 2 to 3 more weeks.

The first couple of weeks of this trial were short..Started on a Tuesday, instead of a Monday..then the next week started on a Tuesday again due to Memorial Day...so this is actually the first full week where they could go Mon-Sat.  So next week the prosecution finishes up..then the defense will begin possibly the 17 or 18 of June.   The defense does not have as many witnesses to call..and we know they really haven't prepared a defense from their opening statement..no surprise Nanny.

Yes ..I love Magics recaps..even if I watch on InSessions I enjoy reading her recaps..they put the day in perspective..and are so consise.  It's hard to watch all 8 hours everyday..well probalby 4 once you add sidebars, breaks, lunch hour and then on Insession the countless commercials and color commentary.

Biggest regret was missing Dr G today...but I knew she would do good for Caylee and the prosecution.

Watching JVM on my DVR and one of the talking heads just said that the prosecution is alleging that Caylee was killed on June 17th and Casey did not have her car on the 16th....

Did I miss something or is this just crap?  I thought Casey had her car until the end of June (27th or 28th as I recall?)

Maybe I have missed the documentation but ...I have scanned through the following report and ... cannot locate where it is stated that the duct tape was place around the head of Caylee antemortem.  On page two it states "prior to decomposition".

Regarding Dr. G:

LKB is basically saying that if means of death is determined by the police evidence rather than medical evidence, the you don't need a medical degree.

By doing that, she becomes one sided, not "even".

ITA CBB..LKB is the only hope of the defense in agruing against this multitude of evidence and experts the prosecution has.  Still..even she is stretching in her own way..I mean she has to know how silly she sounds and nonsensical..and the public is not voting on guilt or innocence the jury is..thank goodness. 

I don't think Casey is aware yet, but her mitigation attorney is going to be the only defense attorney she has that is really going to earn their pay..that is if Baez will let Finnell handle the mitigation testimony and witnesses.  There is no way this will be a hung jury and no way they aren't going to go for first degree murder..duct tape and chloroform do not normally show up on almost 3 year old toddlers..and that hasn't been lost on the jury.  They know she was not reported missing by her mother..but by her grandmother , after Casey spent 31 days partying..mitigate that ..and good luck.

Warren also confirmed that the duct tape had to be placed on the face before decomposition and that it would have been the duct tape that helped hold Caylee's jawbone or mandible in place.

Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton said the video demonstrates a single piece of duct tape placed over the nose and mouth could be used to kill the child.
