Sorry Caylee, the jury took your day away.

If we all just think bare basics, common sense.

Caylee went missing on KC's watch.  Nobody had seen her alive since then.

KC partied until cornered by mother mother to find Caylee.

Car abandoned due to smell of decomp, and I do not care how the dumbfense wants to try to say it was a garbage smell, nobody dumps their car for a garbage smell.  She had plenty of time to pick it back up if it was just left there for gas and she did not.  Car then found to hold decomp, evidence of chloroform, etc.

Caylee found 6 months later in a swamp, triple bagged, with duct tape on her mouth.

Just that along, 4 basic facts, if an outsider, makes me think it had to be her.  Then, add in all the lies, the evidence of decomp in trunk, the fact that she sat in jail for 3 years and if it was an accident she would have said so.

She is guilty. I cannot think of any other outcome.

Poor Dr. Vass.

Bozo is NOT going to be happy with the Body Farm testimony. It will confirm what Vass has said and maybe even more too he doesn't want.

Just curious....since CJBP signed a summons for Vass and others from out of state, does that mean they have to appear at their own cost?  Or did the defense, who has cried all along that they have no money, suddenly come up with some cash to pay for their transportation and hotel stays at this late date?
Since KC is indigent, I suspect FL taxpayers are footing the bill for travel and hotels for the defense's out of state witnesses...ugh
So in other words, Vass and the others will have to initially pay to come back out of their own pockets, then wait years to be reimbursed, just like the good Dr. who stated on the stand that he is still waiting to get paid by Baez.

Does the JAC cut checks to the defense and then the defense pays the witnesses?  From what we have seen from JAC in the past, I think that's how that works.

Catching up again, wanted to see if anyone knows or thinks Dominic Casey will testify?

I think Dominic Casey opens up placed the state does not want to go.
I so agree with you... He can point to Baez as a liar, but can also do the same to cindy... too risky

Thanks for your thoughts I was very curious of what monkeys here think about this.

IMO - KC had a "defiant" look on her face today.  It reminds me of her jail house phone call where she was talking about the press and said it "sucks for them"....I can see her taking the same attitude in court.

Do you think she can actually believe that bozo is going to pull this out for her? OR>>>>>>>>maybe she is going to testify and is getting all excited about telling more lies.

I had hoped he would testify, BUT, after reading his depo last night, I think he is like a loose cannon. He never answers directly and does not make a lot of sense most of the time.

Yes, a loose cannon.

I believe the same of the tatoo guy.  He is going to have to say what a lovign person she was with Caylee but will also say she came in and got a tatoo, bella vita, while caylee was missing.  To us, that is a huge red flag, but for the state, it can cause more doubt, I think anyway.

Wendy Murphy is getting quite ridiculous, imo.  She said that Casey was home on the 17th, even tho Tony L. already testified that they spent the day of the 17th in his bed at his apartment. (Maybe she had her dates confused?)  She then goes on to say that Casey did not have her car, she was driving Tony's Jeep. Who had her car and who had Caylee are the questions that needs to be answered.

I think the State needs to bring Tony back to the stand and ask him where was Casey's car on the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th. According to Casey's text message to Amy, she ran out of gas twice, both on Fridays.  That would be June 20th and the 27th when she deserted her car at Amscot.  Tony testified that on June 23rd, he broke into George's shed, at Casey's instruction, and George called the police and filled out a report on the 24th. So I can only assume that Casey's car was parked along side of the road from the 20th - 23rd.  But I feel there is a problem with that as well.  Usually, if a car is left along side of the road for a period of time, LE will put a notice on the windshield stating it may be towed if not removed.

Bottom line, Tony needs to verify, if he can, where Casey's car was from the 16th - 19th, and why she was driving his Jeep on the 17th and if she drove it after those dates.   If Wendy Murphy, who now seems to think the State has not proved it's case due to these issues, thinks it's important, I want the answers to them because she may have a point. I can also see the defense going down this road.   Any thoughts?

Wendy does have her dates wrong and no one is correcting her.  They let her go on and on.  Maybe they want her to embarass herself.  She states over and over that KC didn't have a car on the 17th.  KC did have a car on the 17th.  The car was abandoned later in the month.  The cell phone pings show KC driving around and around the area - at the time, SM was discussing that KC seemed to be looking for a place to put Caylee.  Wendy's whole premise is off because she has the date wrong about when KC no longer had a car.  Can't understand why no one's corrected her on that.  She's been wrong on this for at least a week now.

What would be a bombshell closing for Baez:

defense gets up and says the State didn't prove their case and puts on no defense (leaving all those questions in the jurors' heads and I "believe" that is a Cheny Mason tactic)

Cindy tried to strangle KC and because of that KC was "afraid" to tell what happened to Caylee (did someone from the defense side tell that story to Natl. Enquirer?)

That was my first thought Puzzler.

That is really really boring for the jury, and I was reading the depo of the dumbfenses expert on this field, so I do not think it is important.  It is she said/he said.  They got in a few places about how long they believe Caylee was there.

I hope you're right...but...it was obvious when Dr. Vass was on the stand, that Baez was challenging Vass about the report he was reporting on that was written by another Dr. and it was obvious that Baez was trying to impart that Vass was not reporting as the original Dr. reported.

What "if" the original Dr. (a woman, I believe) gets on the stand and reports "her" report differently than Vass?

Hello Monkeys  -- I'm quite disappointed too that the State is wrapping up its case.  I think there is a huge hole in it.  Although the State doesn't have to prove motive, many of us, including Shirley Pleasea and she should know, think the motive was to get even with Cindy for loving Caylee and sort of replacing Casey in her affections with that beautiful little girl.  George knew, Lee knew, apparently the entire neighborhood knew, Jessie knew, Amy knew, Tony knew, Ricardo knew, they all knew about  about the fights between Cindy and Casey.  The Jury doesn't know. What the jury got was a fairy tale of a  loving relationship between the two of them  and how they snuggled on the couch to watch a video of sweet Caylee at the nursing home, on the last day of her life, I might add.

A lot of people bought Cindy's act when she lied under oath, and not for the first time, either.  This time it was in court as a sworn witness.   I didn't buy it and I remember very clearly all of the Cindy's lies and actions and  some of those actions were illegal, IMO, and certainly lying to LE is illegal.  I believe the real Cindy was apparent in the Morgan depositions.  That's Cindy in all her glory, and that's Cindy's normal way of behaving, IMO.

so the jury will be left with the impression of a sweet, loving relationship between mother and daughter, and the defense will sacrifice George to get that murdering slut off.  That was the whole idea from the beginning, wasn't it?

Babybear

I believe that George may be the willing sacrificial lamb for the defence ... the willing sacrificial lamb who provides the reasonal doubt to save Casey from the death penalty/LWOP.

George will continue to deny the accusations of his lying daughter but ... the court of public opinion will give George the benefit of the doubt.  After all ... it has been revealed throughout the trial that every word that spews out of the mouth of Casey is a lie.

It is a win-win-win strategy that the defence is attempting.  IF the jury buys it ...

1.  Casey wins because she is not held fully accountable for the murder of the precious treasure that she was bless with.

2.  George and Cindy wins because that outcome of the trial was exactly what Caylee's grandparents were hoping for.

3.  Jose Baez and the Anthonys all win with a $2 Million dollar move deal with Lifetime.

Janet

Janet, I think you're right.  After all, George did say that he would do anything--anything--for Casey.  And it's a perfect plan.
Everybody gets what they want--Except of course, Lady Justice and the taxpayers of the state of Florida.

I think George has already done enough for Casey.   Sit down, Grandpa. Viagra has been known to cause a head rush.

No one would win.........except KC - George would always be labeled as a pedophile and possibly face charges.

Cindy & George would block any deal bozo made because of the copyrights. Not to mention he could not act with KC's power of attorney because in Florida a convicted felon cannot profit from their crime.

Bozo will lose his license after this is over, and he knows that so he is going to milk it for all it is worth but Cindy and George will block any deals he tries to make. When this is over CA will turn on bozo like a chicken snake on a new chick.

They can show George to be a liar and prone to physical violence and Cindy to be delusional.
George and Cindy can sit there and lie some more. And they will. Look at the way Lee testified, they had to drag everything out of him from his previuos statments to Edwards.
Look at the way Mallory testified.
Cindy lied when she said that Casey was a good mother. We know she didn't think that.
Nothing about the trouble over the years from Cindy. She has been in denial for years, did they have a change of heart, I don't think so, it's just going to be more suble and less obvious as to what they are attempting to do.
And I think they were willing to go along with it. George will not go along with the molestation, but if they can make him out to be a liar, everyone gets what they have been working on for three years. It's a bs story the DT has presented and they never would have presented it if they knew that they couldn't count on George and Cindy to catch the ball.

Thanks for the welcomes!   I think George and Cindy have been cleaning up after Casey for many many years and they went straight into clean up mode when they found the car,George was a cop, he's not stupid, he and Cindy both knew they were getting rid of evidence even if they didn't know the facts about what had occurred. They are, IMO responsible for Caylee's little body laying in the woods for so many months while her flesh was being ripped apart and eaten by animals, hence, never knowing the exact truth due to all of their lies, road blocks and protecting their monster of a daughter they raised. I'm not sure how it all works, but I do know the FL taxpayers have been footing the whole enchilada since Bozo blew through the $300,000 in licensing fees when he sold pics of a "missing" Caylee. I can't even imagine what this case has cost when you factor in court costs, LE, travel, lodging, experts, FBI, SAO, the defense, etc....the list goes on and on......
