I am not sure what you mean. What advantage would showing the actual hair have? The jury would not be qualified to interpret the results.

Bozo whined that they hadn't seen the slide show, asked for a proffer and the jury was sent out while he carries on with his nonsense.

I didn't think they removed the jury for this but allowed bozo to question the slides.

The scroll on the bottom of my TV says the jury is out of the courtroom

Oh I do too.  But, IMO, they could go in areas more easier to see for the jury or much clearer than this hair banding stuff.  Most of the appaent decomp hairs look the same to me as the ones with hair banding.  Some are more obvious than others, though.  We shall see.  On cross, they are going to ask if children were studies, etc., what environmental conditions were present and the witness does not know.
